Hello and welcome to jasonnewland.com. My name is Jason Newland. This is Stress and Pain Relief. This is a podcast aimed to help you reduce your stress and physical pain, as well as chronic pain.

Now the reason why I put those two together is because it's the same process. So it's the same process to relieve the pain of a headache as it is to relieve the stress in your eyes, your head, you know, for example. So this technique, I mean this is going to be a short video, this is something that you can actually do on your own.

You can follow my lead but it's something that you can do and it really is as simple as finding yourself a bit of space somewhere that you're not going to be disturbed. It doesn't really matter where it is, but as long as you can close your eyes safely. I would suggest sitting in a comfortable chair, making sure that the chair has sides to support you just any off chance that you fall asleep.

Because you might just get bored listening to me and you might nod off, but it's best to be safe. And all I'm going to ask you to do, this is going to be for people with headaches to help to reduce the pain of a headache and the stress of, you know, in your face and head. So I'm going to take my glasses off while I do this.

Now you can turn the light off or you can leave the light on. Obviously open your eyes before you go and turn the light off so you don't drip over stuff. So if the light's on, you'll still be able to see the light through your eyelids.

So in a situation like a headache, if you're doing this record, listening to this or doing this exercise in the evening, then maybe turn the light off or turn it down. And all I want you to do is just focus on your forehead and your eyes. That's it.

Just your forehead and your eyes. To me, those two areas are connected. And of course, they're connected by skin.

They're connected by muscles as well. For example, if you raise your eyebrows, that crinkles your forehead and stretches your forehead. And your eyebrows also stretches your eyes, your eyelids, and the muscles around your eyes.

So the two parts are very much connected. And all it is, is just focusing on your forehead and your eyes. That is the totality of this exercise.

The rest of it is noticing the changes in your forehead and your eyelids and your eyes. Those changes may be temperature. You may find that your forehead becomes a bit cooler, even though there may not be any breeze.

You may notice that your eyes naturally start to relax. And because we're not actually trying to cause your forehead and your eyes to relax. It's just a focusing exercise on your forehead and your eyes.

Giving your forehead and eyes the space and the time to allow whatever changes are necessary in order for that stress to be released. Or that chronic pain or that headache to be released. Because the more you focus on your forehead and your eyes, the more relaxed they just naturally become.

And then other parts of you will start to want your attention. The attention that you're giving to your forehead and your eyes. See, I'm noticing my ears.

And if you saw me, you might think, what do you mean you just noticing them? They're massive and flappy. Surely you've seen them before. Yeah, I'm not saying I've not noticed I had ears.

I was starting to notice the feeling inside my ears. And why that is. So I'm allowing some of my attention to go to my ears.

But most of my attention is staying on my forehead and my eyes. And now my ears are just pretty much gone quiet. No pun intended.

Now the top of my head seems to want my attention. So I allow it to have a little bit of attention just by noticing it. But not giving it my full attention the way that you are your forehead and eyes.

I'm always noticing any changes that are occurring there. Whether it's a change in temperature or a change in relaxation. Now I'm noticing the back of my head and the back of my neck.

As I give the back of my neck and the back of my head, a little bit of attention. Still keeping most of my focus on my forehead and my eyes. I notice the back of my neck just feels more relaxed.

And the back of my head also. It's almost as if those other parts want to feel the same as your forehead and your eyes. They want to feel as relaxed and as calm as your forehead and your eyes.

And now I'm getting a different kind of feelings in my body. So my shoulders seem to just be melting. It's almost like a domino effect as that feeling of comfort spreads down my back.

Even my breathing feels more relaxed. Now my lower back. Remembering to keep the focus as much as possible on your forehead.

And your eyes. Which seems to remind the different body parts almost how to feel. Relaxed and calm.

So feeling, I can feel it in my buttocks, moving down my legs, down my arms. They're still focusing on my forehead and eyes. Just focusing on your forehead.

And your eyes. Seems to set off a, like I said earlier, like a domino effect. And the rest of your body just follows that feeling.

And although you're still focusing on your forehead and your eyes, it's hard not to be aware of that increased comfort in your hands and your feet. That sense of relaxation in your chest and your stomach. Even though you're not giving those parts of your body your full attention.

Because it's focused on your eyes and your forehead. And the more you focus, the more relaxed you become. And that area between your forehead and your eyes becomes almost a portal of safety and comfort.

And anything left from any kind of pain that you may have had in your body or especially in your head, anything left, any remains can now just be sucked into that portal. That portal of safety and calmness filled with healing. As it sucks in any remains of stress or pain into that portal, converting that negative energy into positive energy, into calmness, into love, healing, safety.

As you continue to focus on your forehead and your eyes, you realize that you feel really, really comfortable. And this can continue for as long as you choose. You can sit and focus on your forehead and your eyes as long as you want to, or as long as you need to.

And every time you hear my voice, when you listen to this podcast, you will naturally feel more relaxed, almost as if your body and mind are already preparing to let go of all the stress and any chronic pain in your body. Ready to allow that to be evaporated and converted into positive energy, full of healing and love and safety. And the more often you listen to me, the more relaxed and calm and positive you feel in your body and in your mind.

And that brings us to the end of this recording. And you can listen as many times as you choose, and you can listen for as long as you choose, because you could just come to the end of the recording and continue to focus on your forehead and your eyes. And now take care of yourself and remember to be kind to yourself, because you deserve to be happy.

Lots of love. Bye.
