Hello and welcome to jasonnewland.com. My name is Jason Newland. This is Stress and Pain Relief Podcast. I hope you're well.

Thank you for listening. And please remember to only listen to this when you can safely close your eyes. There will be two versions of this, one with and one without music.

The one with music lasts for two hours and it gives you an opportunity when, if you're listening to that one, for when the recording finishes, me talking and you can just drift off to sleep or just relax even more deeply than you already will have done during the recording. Now this is going to be a technique. It's not really anything different to what's already that you've already experienced in your life.

And so I'm going to, we all know what it feels like to have an ice cube in our hand. You know what it feels like to have an ice cube in your hand. Now this is actually a technique that you could actually physically do with an ice cube or a piece of ice from the freezer.

But in this recording we're just going to imagine that you have an ice cube in your right hand. You could be either clutching it or you can just have it, have your hand face palm up with the ice cube on the palm of your hand. There's a coldness that comes with that ice cube.

And you can notice that that coldness of the ice cube tends to spread through the palm of your hand. Not just the spot that it's on, but also the rest of your palm of your hand, including your fingers as well, and your thumb, and in some of your wrist. So you can feel it spreading.

And it's, it's a different type of cold to how it would be if you actually had an ice cube there. This is more of, it's almost as if your hand is disappearing. And your fingers are disappearing.

So that your right hand feels different from the rest of your body, and even from the rest of your body. Me and you can enjoy that feeling as it steadily grows, becoming stronger, cooler, feeling that you can experience also in the back of your right hand as it spreads. What you can do with this right hand, feeling so calm.

Oh, my fingers in my right hand, I feel a little bit tingly, that's natural. Feeling so, and that sensation seems to just fill the whole of my right hand. Palms in the back, fingers, and that's what chest and stomach are also experiencing changes.

I can now double that sensation of comfort, and deep relaxation, just by pressing my hands together. Which can send some of these feelings of deep calmness, ready to push your hands together. Five, four, three, two, one.

Now, allowing that feeling from your right hand to spread into your left hand. Spreading deeply, transferring that, almost like a numbness, yet still staying just as strong in the right hand. Spreading that feeling through your arms, to your shoulders.

Relaxing your hands, noticing the feeling in your shoulders of real comfort. Is that, that sensation almost of nothingness. Your arms, spreading through your body, almost a dream-like state.

Yet, the physical sensations, moving down my hips, into your legs, spreading down your legs. A sense of comfort, spreading even deeper, down your back, chest, observing that feeling, as it becomes even deeper, inside the muscles of your body. Calm, loose, calm very deeply.

Spreading the comfort, relaxed, loose, your body, a cool experience in those feelings of deep, deep, deep, deep.

Paragraph spacing and recurring name or title errors have been tidied. Because this began as a voice transcription, an occasional word or piece of punctuation may still be incorrect.
