Hello and welcome to jasonnewland.com. My name is Jason Newland and this is Let Me Bore You To Sleep. Please only listen when you can safely close your eyes because listening to me may cause you to feel drowsy and sleepy and your mind may wonder what exactly I'm chatting on about.
So today is Tuesday the 7th of October 2025. Just a little bit of an update on a couple of things that I wanted, oh if I can stop the audio, wow. It's 5.37 and I'm not sure what time, what time does it get dark, what time does it get dark today, dark today.
Sunset is 6.21, blimey. So it's usually dark by about half an hour after that. So it should be, I should be okay to finish this recording.
Once it starts to get dark I'll have to go out, even if I'm still recording I'll just have to come back and finish it afterwards because I can't, it's not that I can't go out when it's dark, it's just I don't like to go out when it's dark because I'm three years old and I get scared, it's just I can't see what's happening, I can't see where I'm walking and I need to get a new torch, but at the same time it's not just that, it's, I can't,
I might have a torch and see where I am but I can't see what else is around as far as other dogs and stuff and I kind of need that with Vinnie because I don't know if there's a dog off the lead and stuff, during the day time I'm okay, anyway, so I've made a decision, before I say that, before I finish this, don't worry it's not going to be another massive change, I've decided not to make any changes, that's going to be the change, no changes, so my plan,
so I'm now thinking about next year, now that we're getting onto, oh blimey, near the end of the year, wow, so we've got two and a half months left of this year, so I'm thinking what I aim to do is make one recording a day, at least, I want to say a day, probably Monday to Friday, maybe not weekends, so at least five recordings a week, but one a day, I'd like to also get back to doing the Whisper Wednesday, just for those people that love listening to the whispers,
there are more people like them than not like them, it's just the people that like them are less vocal, that's all it is, and you may be thinking, how do you know that then, well, it's a statistic thing, it goes by how many people listen, and the sleep recordings or the whisper ones are popular, I say popular, but they are, yeah, they're fairly popular, so, but at the same time, I can't make, I can't really do two recordings a day regularly, I did that last week, I think I made a whisper,
like an early morning whisper one, every day of the week, and I think one's enough, one recording is enough a day, so here, it's just like that, some people like hearing me yawning, some people don't like hearing me yawning, some people like hearing the birds in the background, some people don't like hearing the birds, some people like hearing Vinnie, some people don't like hearing Vinnie, some people liked hearing my squeaky desk, I don't like hearing my squeaky desk, honestly, because I've kind of got in the habit of listening to my recordings,
because I want to kind of put myself in your position or your, I don't know, as a listener, I want to be able to sort of gauge whether or not they are useful, and I fall asleep listening to them, but yesterday's recording, all those relaxing and stuff, I noticed a squeaky desk, so now, if you listen to this, I'm pushing the desk now, nothing, I stopped it from squeaking, and I've used a toilet roll holder thing, you know the cardboard left in the toilet roll, I've got about five of them all pushed together,
and they're between the table and the wall, and it's stopped everything, no more squeaking, ever so pleased, I don't think I've ever been happier in my entire life, oh, no, there was that, oh, okay, no, let's forget that, but there was, yeah, hmm, so, I have decided to continue with the website I've got, no other websites, just the jasonnewland.com, continue with that website, continue with the podcasts I've got, no new podcasts, just continue with the ones I've got, on Spreaker, that are shared with, you know, Apple, and all the others,
I've also got the two spot, what are they called, SoundCloud ones, and I've also got the Podbean one, which is very slowly growing on its own way, so I will keep with that as well, so that's my plan, with the Podbean one, I just figured to have it with them directly makes sense, and it might grow, it might not, I've also got my other podcasts on Podbean, but they're separate, to have one directly with them means they might push it to be listened to by the road audience,
and that's kind of what I'm planning to do for the next year ahead, is keep things as they are, and just make recordings, now, thinking about YouTube, I don't really know what to do with YouTube, or just maybe carry on as I have been, because it is, every time I do a recording, I upload, it automatically gets uploaded to YouTube, so there's six recordings a day going on there, the subscribers going up constantly but slowly, or slowly but constantly, you know, both, and overall the stats are better now than they were,
as far as how many people listen, but it's still slow, and what I'm thinking is just leave it as it is, and see how it is at the end of next year, or, if I wanted to increase the plays on my YouTube platform, my YouTube channel, I would need to make videos of myself doing this podcast, so that's another thing I could do, but right now I'm kind of thinking just keep it going the way it's going, and so no more making changes, just keeping things as they are, you know,
there may well be times I can't make a recording for whatever reason, but no more deleting stuff, no more starting another website and getting rid of this website, and changing hosts for the website, and all that stuff, I'm just going to keep things as they are, for the next year, that's my plan.
I also plan to do more, well to do more, to actually do some advertising to promote my podcast on Facebook, possibly other platforms, so I'm going to be doing a lot more promotion of what I do to reach a larger audience, which might mean looking at other places as well, and see yeah, it's going to be still quite a lot of stuff to do, but it will be more focused on the, what do you call it, promotion, whatever they call it in business, basically, getting an audience, or increasing the audience,
because I've already got an audience, but I've got the best audience in the world, but then I can get more, you know, get more people listening, and hopefully the result of that would be helping more people to fall asleep and relax, so, so far, alright, ok, so I got the, you know, I mentioned yesterday, you may not have listened to yesterday's recording yet, but I did two adverts on Facebook, one is to promote my Jason Newland's Boring Group on Facebook, which you can join if you're not a member, maybe join that,
and I thought it would be good to just promote it, promote it for seven days, that's all I'm doing, and see what comes out of it, so far it's been going for a day and a half, roughly, I've had 398 views of the advert, 346 viewers, I'm not quite sure how that works, 8 clicks of the link, link clicks, and I've spent £2.70, so on my Facebook page, I have, I'm not sure what it was before, I've got at least, so Dom joined yesterday, if, let's have a look, members,
see who we've got, I never say surnames or, you know, I always say the first names, that way you can't, unless you join, you can't see who, so, see, I'm not quite sure how this works, but people, it's got Dom joined, invited by Jason Newland, hypnotist, 16 hours ago, don't quite know how that works, cos I don't send out emails, so maybe it's through the advert, or people can just visit, but as far as since yesterday, Vanessa, or Vanessa, Bernie, Peter, Dom, Dina, and Admin, and as far as people that have joined,
yeah, all of those people it says that have joined, there's only 2 that says joined 15 hours ago, joined 19 hours ago, that's Dom and Bernie, but the other 1, 2, 3, 4, no, 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4, it says that they're invited by me, so, so I'm not quite sure, so the total members 231, but it's way more than that, because there's people that are not actually, they're not joined, they've joined, but they've been invited by me, so I don't know, it's confusing me a little bit,
hmm, Natasha, oh, so, Zoe, Zoe, Zoe, Zoe, so I'm just looking at who's joined in the group, so Zoe joined 2 months ago, I know he came to Northern Ireland, we could have met up and had a coffee, I had, that's where Uncle Sausage's was from, and originally that was where the, his leaving ceremony was going to be, but didn't, didn't kind of turn out that way in the end, I want to say a big thank you also to Brooke, I don't know if Brooke's listening,
but I spoke to Brooke a couple of weeks ago, and just out of the blue she contacted me and asked me how I was, and she's someone that I've known for, yeah, what, 6 years, I think, and originally she invited me to go to America and do some talks for her students, because she was a Dean at a university, and then lockdown, I kind of hovered about it, I kind of, I was scared, I'll be honest, I was scared, I was, I was, I was scared to just,
it wasn't that I was scared to go to America, because, you know, that'd be lovely, I'd love to go there one day, it wasn't even that I was scared to leave Andre, because I could have left him, he'd have been safe, he'd have had someone to look after him, although I wouldn't want to leave him, because I just loved being with him, I loved, it's like Vinnie, kind of, it is, it's a kind of weird kind of company, I suppose, having him here, it means a lot to me,
and the same as when I had Andre, it's not necessarily the standing up in front of an audience, because I've done that hundreds of times, it's a long time ago, admittedly, but talking, I'm used to talking, so talking is not really a hardship for me, I don't struggle with talking, but the thing I had that was a bit of an issue, that was, I guess, self-belief, and not trying to, not really, I couldn't see what she could see, what she saw in me was someone that had something worthwhile to share,
or, you know, to, I don't know, but I didn't, I couldn't see it, I couldn't really, I couldn't understand why anyone would want to sit there and listen to me talking, and then I thought, well, OK, I can talk, but what would I talk about? These are highly educated people already in the audience, they're students, but they're already kind of, you know, gone through university, and they're on like master's programs, or PhD programs, and, yeah, my confidence wasn't really at an all-time high, nor has it been since September 2001, I think, when I moved away from London.
I did have a fair bit of confidence back then, yeah, I suppose being around a nightclub, and maybe, I don't know, who knows, but going bald and grey hasn't helped, surprisingly.
I, yeah, so I kind of dawdled on it, I really just couldn't make my mind up, and that was in 2019, and the lovely year of 2020 arrived, and there was no option of visiting. I mean, it might, yeah, I think it was 2019, so, yeah, so it's kind of, I could have been there and got back, and everything would have been paid for by the university, and it would have been, hopefully, a really wonderful experience for me, and hopefully useful for the other people listening.
I'm still not sure it would be, because I still don't, I don't know what, what I would say even now, six years later, especially as I've become more engrossed in this side of things, this way of presenting.
I guess it's stream of consciousness would be the correct term for this particular format.
So, but anyway, Brooke called, asked me how I was getting on, and I'd spoken to her on the phone a few times in the past, and she really built me up, like, propped me up, built me up, propped, I don't know what the right word is, but, said the right things anyway, I can't remember what she said, but she said the right things, said stuff that was, I suppose, reminding me that, I think, if I can try and stick to one sentence, I think if someone says, oh, you've helped people, it's nice to hear, but if someone's saying you've helped people, including me, that adds an extra dimension to it.
Do you know what I mean? It's, and it kind of brings me back to the, yeah, it brings me back to the, all of the different reviews that I've been looking through.
And some of those things, some of the words, and it's just so kind. And I felt, I felt almost privileged to be in this position to, to have people that I've never met, probably never will meet, but potentially, unless we can do a world tour. But to actually go out of their way, take some time out of their own day, to write nice words to me or about me.
And I know, having been on the internet, having been part of this whole kind of, I suppose, producing, content producer, whatever you want to call them, content maker, I'm among the first in the world, as far as getting into YouTube, and I'm one of the first podcasters, among many thousands of others, but I was, I was right here at the beginning. And I was, what was I trying to say?
Obviously, I'm a hero, that's what I'm trying to say. I was, really, in a way, podcasting wasn't even really known.
I mean, it kind of started, I think, about 2004. I started podcasting in 2006. But I was making recordings before that.
I just, I think I posted them on my pain relief. I had a, I don't know, I can't even say a sentence. I had a website called Help With Pain in 1984.
And I had the jasonnewland.com since 2004 as well, I think. I had some recordings that I recorded, and there was a way of doing it so you could download it. So I had a couple of things on there.
So, you know, I'd already made a couple of recordings, but it wasn't a podcast, but it was a couple of bits, and I made some recordings for myself as well, back in 2002, to help me with stress and stuff. So I could listen to them. And podcasting became, started to become popular about 2000 and there's a bit of a 2007, I would say, there was this big splurge and it became a bit more known.
And so I was, I was already doing podcasts from 2006. And then it became unpopular. Well, it became not unpopular, but so many of the podcast hosts, a lot of which were free, because that's how you get people to do stuff is giving it to them for free.
But these podcast companies that were offering people unlimited audio upload, I guess they just ran out of money. And it was like a very, very mini, like internet bubble thing, very, you know, short lived. It became popular.
There were some celebrities were doing it and then it just kind of popped and people stopped listening to podcasts, it kind of lost its, lost it, whatever it was, it just didn't have any kind of interest anymore. People seemed to lose interest. Vinnie found a sausages packet.
That's been there about four days, Vinnie. It's not been on the floor. It's recycling day tomorrow.
So I've been going through and finding all the plastic bags and stuff. So what I did, though, is I stuck it out. I didn't stop podcasting.
I did focus most of my attention on YouTube, because YouTube was the big thing. So what I did is I made videos. And then I took the audio from the video and put it onto my podcast.
And I used I used SoundCloud for many, many years. Vinnie, that bag is not it's not toys for you to play with. Eat your dinner.
I can't believe it. He the stuff he picks off the floor in the park, right stuff that you just you shouldn't put in your mouth basically it's just and it will sniff it and it will pick it up and try and eat it. Yeah, I put food in a bowl, you'll sniff that and go.
It's food. It's his food. And it's nice.
I wouldn't want to eat it myself, but it's nice. Looks and smells disgusting, but it's nice. It's for him is specifically made for him.
There's a whole company that makes dog food just for Vinnie. It's a specialist service. And I'm taking that away from you.
So even that there's a defiance in him. As soon as he stopped licking out the bag. And I said stop he looked at me and then he walked forward and just walked into the back to make even more noise.
Now he's licking my ankle. Man, he's a proper character. So I kept the podcasting going.
I also did make podcasts without videos as well. Very much. A lot of it was videos with the audio taken off and that would be my podcast episode.
And I kept that going for years and years and years and years and years and years and years. And then in 2000 and. Ooh, where was it? I tried out every time a new podcast host came out.
I try it out and see how things were going. And there is one. I forget the name of it.
It was one of the better ones, but it wasn't cheap. Vinnie, can you leave that bag alone, please? Chase Newland podcast. So.
I'm just trying to find I can't remember the name of it. Oh, I know what I do. Chase Newland.
So there was this podcast host. And a good thing in the past. A lot of the podcast hosts where you, you know, you upload your recordings.
Had a huge audience of their own. So you didn't try and get traffic from the Internet is they people will go in there and they have thousands, if not millions of people that would hundreds of thousands that would do it. Listen.
I guess a bit like Spotify does now. Or some of the other apps do now. But these were.
They're not really around anymore, I think. SoundCloud is one of the only ones left out of that lot that had its own audience. I think Podbean might have its own audience.
And this Spotify obviously has its own audience. Apple podcasts. But generally.
Apple podcasts, although you can have your own podcast directly with them. Generally. You share, you just share the RSS feed.
Which shares. From your podcast host. So mine is Spreaker.
I'm just having a look. I can't remember the name of the podcast. Good podcasts.
Blimey. Shoplifting in Dubai. Which is something.
I would never do. Wow, you have to be really, really, really silly. To be shoplifting.
In Dubai. Wonder what that podcast was about. I did have a little phase.
Little phase where I would. I'd make a podcast and then just add. Ridiculous title that had nothing to nothing to do with the recording.
It just used to tickle me a bit. That's quite a few years ago. I'm thinking this podcast might have closed down because they were talking about getting rid of stuff.
So I went on there and in 2011. I posted. So I used to be like a premium member of theirs and they were good.
Like I'd upload stuff and I'd get an audience and I get quite a few downloads like thousands of downloads and stuff. And they'd be nice. But it's also costing me like £100 a month.
Or £50 a month or £80 a month, something like that. And that was like 2008. So it's a little bit a little bit too much.
So I ended up going back to SoundCloud because it was at that time. I think it was £10 a month. We might even been £8 a month.
It's now. Yeah, probably was about £8 a month. I can't find it.
Where is it? I canny find it. I canny find it. No, I can't.
That's weird. I can't remember what it's called either. But I know that it's not well known.
Maybe it's closed down. But what I did is in 2011. I signed up and I used the free service for each one of my podcasts.
And these were just short courses. They're not even on not not available for anyone to listen to now. They're 30 days sleep podcast.
And seven day insomnia. I don't know. So there was insomnia cure.
Finny. He won't stop. So.
And I was in here about five years ago. And I was just searching it every now and then I put in my name to Google. And I just search just see if anything.
Unusuals about see if I can see anything. Like pod ash never heard that one before. So there's podcast host or podcast apps that I've not heard of.
So it's kind of interesting to see what's about. And. I'm on a lot of different places.
I'm all over the place. I don't mean internally. Can't find it.
Cannot find it. I would say the fact that it's hard to find means it's not active anymore. Because how would they make any money if it was if you can't find a service.
No one's going to use it a day. Which is why I'm now advertising my my website. I'm trying to advertise the podcast because people don't know it's there.
They're not going to listen. I mean really. So it's amazing.
I've got any listeners. Considering it's all almost by accident that people come across me. I'm grateful.
I haven't. There's links from YouTube and this and from Facebook. And I have promoted myself on Facebook.
Since. Facebook began. Was it 2007? Yeah, I think so.
I have been doing that but at the same time. It's. Yeah, you know.
It's a little bit. I think it's getting to the point where I need to up the ante. Yeah, I think that's it really.
I just need to increase and try and get more engagement. With my website. Now.
On my website. It wasn't working by the website was working but the advert I did yesterday was not working. And I was thinking what's going on.
Why is it not working? And they said. There was no clue why. I went into it.
I'm glad it hadn't started working because the text wasn't properly done it. You know, I kind of missed I'd missed a little bit of a. Well, I hadn't checked it properly basically. So.
Up to a couple of hours ago zero views. Zero clicks. Zero spent on the website advert.
And. I looked over and what happened. I put in the minimum of a pound a day.
To be spent. So they had a minimum of pound but a pound wasn't enough. They weren't doing anything with a pound.
Needs to be at least two pound before they'd even post the adverts online on Facebook. So why do they have a minimum of it? I don't know. Well anyway so far.
In the last say three hours. Should be generous four hours. I've had.
2425 views. From 2385 viewers. So 2385 people have seen the advert.
They've seen the logo. Let Me Bore You To Sleep. Which is pretty good.
You know they've seen the advert. 21 link clicks. So 21 people have gone to my website.
And it's cost me 63 pence. I feel like I've already told you this. Have I told you this already? So for the promotion.
The group promotion. 405 views. 353 viewers.
8 clicks. £2.71. That's in yeah two and a half days. So it's kind of like okay.
Is that really worth it? And maybe I should just put it into the website because. It's. 63 pence for 21 clicks.
Or £2.71 for 8 clicks. 63 pence for 2385 viewers. Or 271 for 353 viewers.
Hmm. So all in all. Since I've been having these adverts going.
It's 2600. 730. 2000.
Over 2700. Views. Of.
Basically which talks about me. And the you know. Insomnia.
Sleep. Let Me Bore You To Sleep stuff. And altogether it's cost just over £3.
It's not bad is it really. You think about it. I mean.
If I had real money to put into this. I could possibly build the. The audience up quite quite large.
That does depend upon the audience liking what I do. Like the new audience I mean. So there's no way of.
Well you know what I think. Okay. I've been doing this.
Well I've been doing. Sleep recordings. For nearly 20 years.
But I've been doing these Let Me Bore You To Sleep since 2018. So it's seven and a half years. So seven and a half years I've been doing these.
I think after this after that period of time. I can now gauge whether or not. What I'm doing.
Has a potential audience. Now I already know. That what I do has already has an audience.
Because you're listening now. And I've had a lot of positive feedback. Over the last few years.
So. And this is without being all like how great am I. I'm not trying to be like that. Just.
Trying to be factual more kind of. Practical. And realistic.
If possible. So if a few thousand people. Like like listening to me regularly.
Then there's going to be another few thousand people out there. That don't know about me that. May also.
Like listening to me regularly. And if there's a few more thousand out there maybe there's. Twice that amount maybe there's.
10 times that amount out there. Maybe there's a hundred times that amount out there. In the world I mean.
That would like to be part of this community of people listening to me. Talking about nothing. I don't know.
I really don't know. So yeah I'm just. This is the new thing that I'm kind of testing.
But as I said at the beginning. I'm going to keep everything as it was. I'm not going to change.
The website. I'm not going to. Make the website better.
But I'm not going to change. I'm not going to get rid of the website. I'm not going to.
Make any drastic changes. I mean the last couple of years have been a bit weird for me to be honest. And that they have for a lot of people I know.
But this. This summer has been very strange. But.
I've noticed that every time I make a change it. It doesn't seem to work out. And I don't make it.
I don't mean it changes in like in a positive way. But you know if I say I got rid of the SoundCloud. Podcasts.
To save myself £20 a month. And then I was getting messages from. My listeners that listen to me on SoundCloud.
I stopped posting stuff on YouTube. And people got messages from people that listen to me on YouTube. I got rid of music.
The podcasts of music. Got messages from people that listen to the ones on music. I've got rid of the five hour versions.
People contact me saying they like the five hour versions. So it's. Everyone's kind of got their own thing about what they like.
What they don't like. And. I stopped doing.
I started doing a whispers. Because people. Come on Vinnie calm down.
I started doing a whispers. Again. Because I was asked to do them.
And then people were telling me they didn't like them. Oh come on mate. Hey.
Stop it. Good girl. Stop it.
And so yeah it's. It's one of those things hard to. I know I can't please everyone but I'm.
I am trying to be honest. I want everyone to be happy. I do.
I'll be honest I do. I know it's a fruitless game or whatever. But I still.
Or seedless game or whatever the correct term is. It's a seedless banana. But I do.
I want to try and cater for. Everyone that listens. Because I value everyone that listens.
And. Without being all soppy. I just.
Yeah. I care about how you feel. And I do.
I want to try and give you. What you want. I know I'm never going to accomplish that.
To give everybody what they want. I know it's impossible but. And I also realized that I've made this.
Situation for myself. Really because. I'm the one that did multiple podcasts.
I'm the one that did multiple different. Links of podcasts. And then had added music.
And. You know I mean I'm the one that started. Doing regular recordings.
And then stopped doing regular ones. On certain days and then. I'm the one that had a website.
And then stopped that website and. So there's a lot of responsibility. It does go on me.
Well it all goes on me really but. I need to share some of it. Please let me share some of it.
Some of it. So I guess what I'm. Trying to get out is get out.
Get at is. I'm not planning any any. Any new changes.
As far as your listening experience. For the upcoming year. I want to just keep things regular.
Regular recording. Daily. Maybe not weekends but at least Monday to Friday.
Do the Q&A Friday every Friday. Maybe not Mondays Boring Objects every Monday. And maybe not Tuesdays.
Trivia Tuesday every Tuesday. So maybe I'll do that. Last.
The last. Monday of the month or I don't know. Get something sorted out so I can.
Sort of play around with that. But yeah I think I've made a few. Too many changes.
Recently and. The changes I'm doing now is behind. I didn't even need to tell you really do it.
But this. I don't need to tell you anything really do it. Most of the stuff that comes out my mouth is.
Unimportant stuff. But. Promotion.
The promotion side of things is something. That doesn't affect anyone. And.
Although. I've looked at some of the. Some of the.
I always look at profiles of people that. Join the group. Just to.
I suppose to make sure it's a real person. And. Not.
Not a spam or bot or something and. I've noticed that there's. A couple that.
Haven't posted anything in 11 years. And I'm like OK. But on their page I mean.
And that. That does send a little bit of an alarm bell. Just.
I don't know. Not an alarm bell but it's just. I want to be careful that.
Someone's not. I guess I'm just. I'm very very protective of.
The Jason Newlands Boring Group. Because we've got such a lovely people in there. And I don't want it to turn into a free for all.
Where people are just being spammy and. Posting adverts and. Being nasty to each other.
And being controversial and all that stuff. I don't. I try you know I know.
Technically I'm the spammer. Because I'm posting adverts of my stuff. But.
You know that. I think that's kind of accepted that. I'll let you know what the latest recordings are.
But. Other than that. That's kind of pretty much all I do.
Someone did mention about. I should be more active perhaps. Or perhaps I could be more active.
But. That's. I don't.
Thrive very well with that kind of communication. And I'll post what I do. But this is me communicating.
This is my communication. If that makes any sense. When someone texts me.
Even someone that I like. Well most of people are on my phone. And people that I like I suppose.
They text me. And I'll respond. And then they text again.
It's like what do you want now? This conversation is over. You asked me how I am. So I had someone.
Someone sent a message saying. How are you doing Jason? I've been. Out all weekend.
We went on holiday the week before. I haven't spoken to you. For a few weeks.
Hope you're okay. I had my hair cut. My daughter's.
Starting high school. Soon. This is like a few months ago.
A couple of months ago. And. And you know all this stuff.
The car broke down. But it's fine. Moved house.
And how are you? How's your summer been? I said. I said. Hi.
Hope you well. Bye. And just kiss kiss.
And then she comes back. And wanted to know more. It's like.
I got nothing else to say. That was it. He told me.
If someone sends me a text message. How was your week? Or how was your day? I have no response for that. I don't.
I do have a response. If you don't want to know how my day was. Listen to my podcast.
But I can't exactly say that to my dad. Can I? Not that he would send me a text message. Ask me how my day was.
That's never going to happen. And it's never going to happen. For me sending him a text message.
Asking how his day was. Phone him up. How are you? Are you okay? What have you been up to? No.
It's not going to happen. But I. I don't. Need that ongoing communication.
Via text. Or typing. And I'm not very good at it.
I'll be honest. I'm not very good at it. I do my best to respond.
If people. Contact me. I'm much better if there's a reason for it.
Not a reason. But if there's. I think it's a question.
Or if it's a query. Or if there's. I've noticed that.
The people on the. My listeners on Jason Newland's Boring Group. Are good.
Especially when it comes to. When things are going wrong. Because sometimes I don't know.
You know if. When the Apple podcast. Stopped working.
I didn't know about it. Until. I was told.
On my. On the group. So I had to look into it.
And it caused loads of hassle. Took. Took what.
A week or two to get it sorted. And it. Yeah.
But that was no one's. Fault. Actually that situation.
I mean. Possibly partly mine. But it was.
It was. It was some kind of. Digital.
Online. Synchronicity thing. I don't know.
I got no idea. And. If I hadn't been told.
Or if I'm not told that. I had a recording that. Spoke twice.
I don't know how I did it. But I managed to do a recording. Which spoke twice.
At the same time. Or another one. That.
Was buzzing. Didn't know. So I could.
Change it. And get it back to how it was. How it should have been.
Or. You know. If I've got a message.
An image. And it's got my name spelled wrong. How the hell do I spend.
Spell my own name wrong. Oh man. So yeah.
That's kind of stuff. Not that I want. Many of those.
Because it means things have gone wrong. But it does help me. To fix.
Issues. And I try and fix those issues. As quickly as possible.
And. But yeah. I'm not always great at.
Knowing what to say. In a text. Or in a message.
I'm not all. Yeah. I guess I'm just.
That's not my. Not my skill set. It has never been.
Texting has never been. Something I've been. Very good at.
Right from when. The phone started out. Talking on the phone.
I was very good at. But not. Not texting.
I just like. This conversation. Going on forever.
You know. Something that takes like. Two hours in a text.
Can be done in. Five minutes on the phone. Or ten minutes on the phone.
You know. It's just. It's a very simple.
Back and forward. Back and forward. And then you're done.
But with a text. It's like backwards. It's.
Especially in the old days. When you couldn't really text much. I think there was a limit.
Wasn't there? To how many. How much you could text. How many words you could text.
Anyway. Starting to get dark outside. So I need to take.
The little one. For a W. A. N. W. A. L. K. So. In the park.
So I'm going to go. I want to say. Thank you again.
To everyone. For listening. I know.
I've been a bit soppy lately. Haven't I? I need to get back to being. The ruthless.
Jason. Of past. The ruthless.
Angry. Young man. That I once was.
Swearing. And. Chucking furniture.
Around. I've never done that. Eating bananas.
While I spoke. Not caring. Speaking with my mouth open.
With my mouth open. You can't knock. Can you really? I don't want to go back outside.
But I better. So. Thank you for listening.
Remember. It's Q&A Friday this week. So.
As. As. Always.
So. Please. Go to.
Jason Newland's Boring Group. And leave me. A question.
I've got a couple already. Which is good. And.
So. Thank you for listening. Remember.
To be kind to yourself. Because you do deserve to be happy. Lots of love.
Bye.
