Hello, welcome to Let Me Bore You To Sleep. My name is Jason Newland. Please only listen where you can safely.

Close your eyes. I feel a bit tired actually. So I'm streaming it on TikTok.

And today's Tuesday, the 17th of February, 2026. And I'm going to do a trivia Tuesday. I don't know what I'm going to do yet.

So before I start, just let you know. If you haven't, if you've heard this before, sorry. So there are six versions of this recording.

Three without music, three with music. That's when I finished the podcast. Short, long and overnight.

They'll be available on all the major podcasts, just search for Let Me Bore You To Sleep or just by my name, Jason Newland. I'm on YouTube. So this video that I'm making as well will be on YouTube.

And I will also add the video, the full length video to Facebook as well as YouTube. And also I will add up to 59 minutes worth of the video on the TikTok, Instagram and X. And my website's jasonnewland.com and all my recordings are on there as well. Wow, I've got that over there and done with.

Ah, I did a recording today. I did a hypnosis, sleep hypnosis recording called healing while you sleep. Hmm.

So I'm quite excited about that. I've actually, yeah, I'm in the process of uploading them. The audio I've recorded, I've done, I've edited the video takes ages, but I have to process the video before uploading it.

And that's going to take about two and a half hours. I don't quite know why it's such a long record, why it's such a big file. But anyway, while I'm doing that, I'm not gonna be able to do anything else with the iPad.

So I thought I might as well make this video first. And then I'll do that. And I'll probably end up editing this recording tomorrow morning.

That makes sense. So I'm always going to be a little bit behind. So, so yeah, the, oh, the healing while you sleep is about just under an hour long.

Good recording. I think. So yeah, that's it.

I'm going to look, I'm going to check GPT and ask it to help me with my Tuesday trivia Tuesday thing. I haven't been haven't done one of these for a little while. I just don't want, I don't want my, Let Me Bore You To Sleep.

I only use the word fans, but people like the Let Me Bore You To Sleep. Why am I breathing like this? How am I breathing? You mean what through my mouth or? So it's asking me, why am I breathing? I have to breathe. I've got no choice.

I'm afraid. One of those things. So let me have a look.

Trivia Tuesday. Trivia trivia trivia Tuesday. So seven people watching.

So hello, anyone on TikTok. I might not. Wow.

I can't even find. Trivia, trivia, trivia, trivia. Trivia Tuesday.

I must have done one for a little while then, because it's way back. Trivia, trivia, trivia, trivia, trivia, trivia. Okay, I'm going to have to start a new page.

So people are asking for shout outs. Sorry, I can't see. Hello, shout out to everyone.

People are asking weird questions. Mind you is half term. So there's probably quite a few people on here that would normally be doing their homework.

So if I do new chat, find me some topics, unique topics. For Trivia Tuesday. It's quite warm in here today.

It's always warm when I make these recordings because there's too many lights on. And the windows closed. So yeah, a trip to Turkey is calling my name apparently.

I am the father of science. It's 2026 by the way. Not 1830.

What? Why? Why 1830? So it's telling me it's not 1830. Do I look like I should? Is it my beard? Have I got an 1830 beard? And I do need to have a shave. I will have a shave.

That's weird. So strange world records that were not impressive at all. I think I've done that one.

Boring jobs that secretly shaped history. Things that were invented by accident. I've done that one.

Everyday items items with weird origins. Toothpaste, socks, kettles. Useless facts that are weirdly comforting.

Yeah, I should do that one. Useless facts that are weirdly comforting. Let's see what I can come up with for that.

So if I put in 100. Here we go. Lovely choice.

Here are 100 useless facts that are weirdly comforting. Gentle, curious and perfect for drifting off whilst listening. So let's have a look.

I was going to just. So first one is. Otters hold hands when they sleep so that they don't drift apart.

Is that true? Kind of makes sense, really. I've got a few. Bananas are technically berries, but strawberries aren't.

I thought strawberries were berries. But bananas are. Well, they are useless facts.

Every other Sunday, every other Sunday. There are more possible games of chess than atoms in the observable universe. Is that true, though? Is that true? I don't know.

Doesn't sound true. I mean, first of all, we don't know how many atoms there are in the universe. When I said we.

It's a lot of guess guesswork, isn't there? I mean. Nobody really knows how many people there are on this planet. And that's surely much more observable.

Than atoms in the universe. You know, I mean. How many is like how many sausages are being eaten right now around the world? No one knows.

Yet they can count atoms. I mean, why don't you just eat your dinner? He's fussy. He's not eating his dinner again today.

He just wants treats. Yet he will eat the most weirdest things off the floor. Crazy.

I know that I beat the top chess players in the world. Like, you know, no chess player can beat AI now. But then AI can.

Literally, I mean, it depends on how big the computer system is, I guess. They can calculate. Thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands and maybe hundreds of years worth of moves.

And what the possible outcome could be before they take the next move. Which a human brain. Probably can't.

And AI can do it in a. Almost an instant. Cows have best friends and get stressed when separated. Yeah.

Hi. Kitty, kitty. I've never known a cow.

Never known one. I mean, they're big old things, aren't they? But I've never kind of had a friendship with one. Wombat.

Wombats produce cube shaped poo. Because that was the name of that game I was trying to remember. Don't if you remember like a few months ago.

It's almost like a tambourine. But like a more bouncy surface and without the meaning of the tambourine bits. And used to like have this.

I could like a little beanbag really and just bounce it to each other. And I'm sure it used to be called wombat. I couldn't find it anywhere online.

Maybe it's the Mandela effect. What's the Mandela effect? Does anyone know? I'll tell you what it is. If you want to know.

Wombats produced cube shaped poo. Maybe that's just the shape of the. The.

The exit hatch. Maybe. Hi, Steve.

Hi, Jade. So the smell of rain. Has a name.

It's called petrichor. Yep, useless facts. Is it comforting though? I don't know.

I'm not sure. I don't know. According to this, sloths can take it up.

No, can take up to two weeks to digest a single meal. How do people know this? I mean, did they just think, well, that's sloth is very slow. I wonder if it does everything slowly.

Maybe. I'm a bit like a sloth. I'm quite slow.

Most of the things I do is slow. I don't move about very quickly. Not really.

It says here, you can't hold hum while holding your nose. I can see. So I can do it.

So they lied on that one. Some turtles, I don't believe this. Some turtles breathe through their bottoms.

That's made my day. Some turtles breathe through their bottoms. Come on.

Are you sure? How can you breathe through your bum? I've heard enough people say that. People talk through their bums, but breathing through it. I feel I want to research that one because that sounds like it's just made up.

It's like with the sloth one, it takes two weeks to digest a single meal. Now, what if that person that was studying sloths is the only person that ever wanted to study a sloth? Can you imagine if he was the only person interested in sloths? You can make up so much crap about a sloth. So I've been studying sloths for 10 years now, thanks to the £5 million grant I got from the government and got some really good results.

For example, did you know that sloths live to 5 million years old? Yep, they do. They can breathe out of their ears and they're very good at magic tricks. But one of the problems is they're a bit racist towards French people.

Sloths, they're a little bit prejudiced. Unfortunately, it's a bit weird. And they won't let you tickle their tummy unless you give them ice cream first.

It's very strange. You used to make stuff up, couldn't you? And then someone else comes along. Well, that's interesting.

I think I'll study sloths and then find out that they can't do any of those things. And their poo is just normal shaped poo. So our stomach gets a new line in every few days.

That's nice. That's good to hear. Ducks don't echo.

Ducks don't echo. Jack says love you, love you back. Not love your back, but love you.

And I might, might, no, I'll move on from that. Who, who, I've never heard of ducks echoing. Is this, is this a thing? Ducks echoing.

No, generally. I must have missed that class out at school. You know, the lecture on ducks.

Ducks don't echo. And apparently people argue about this, which is oddly comforting in itself. Well, okay.

Koalas have fingerprints similar to humans. In what way are they? Is there a database of koalas? Are they known for committing crimes? I don't know. Do they have unique fingerprints? I don't know.

I can't stop thinking about koala bears now. No ways it's true. The average cloud.

The average cloud. Those things up in the sky. The average, I don't believe this.

The average cloud weighs over a million tons. A million tons. But then you think about it.

If an average cloud, how much rain does it let go? Because if you fill a bucket full of water or kettle even, it's quite heavy, isn't it? If you fill a bucket full of water, it's very heavy. And you wouldn't be able to lift a bath that was full of water. Mind you, the baths, you know, they're heavy in themselves, aren't they? You know, if you've got like the old style metal baths that I know I didn't used to bathe in.

Actually, I probably did when I was a kid. In front of the fire. While my dad was out collecting coal.

And for the fire. Didn't have central heating back then. Probably didn't actually, I don't know.

I know it used to be cold in my house. Remember having to get up and literally run around. Getting ready.

Before everything just froze. Yeah. Those were the days.

Cheeky, cheeky, cheeky, chappies says, I like your picture in the background. Is it your pet? So that that picture is. My stepmom did that.

It's a picture of Vinnie, the doggy at the top. And Andre, my ferret that I used to have. And so she did those two.

I've also got another picture. If I move this around. Forget that.

Ignore the the wall. I'm still in the process of. Putting stuff on these walls.

There's another picture, as you can see. There of Vinnie. That was done by Cara.

And that picture is me as a baby. It's a photograph. Yeah.

I just want to prove to myself that I was once. Lovable, I suppose, I don't know that I was once little. A little baby.

So the average cloud weighs over one million tons. That's a lot. How? How does it stay in the sky? And how can it get blown around so easily? If it's 100 million tons.

I'm just thinking if gravity kind of stopped. We'd follow up. But with the clouds float down, would they just fall down on us? Because they just crush everything, wouldn't they? There'd be nothing left.

Sea otters have favorite rocks. They keep. In little pouches.

I don't know what Vinnie's up to. You're always lovable. Thank you very much.

It's very kind. Cheeky, cheeky, chucky, chubby. Says that.

Thanks. And. And was it.

I say, hi, do you want to drink my milk? Nice to meet you. So a group of was it. Sea otters have favorite rocks.

They keep in little pouches. Why? That is cute. Very cute.

But why? Why do they keep rocks? Is it kind of. You think about it, though. As humans, we have possessions.

I mean, I don't have much these days, but. You know, we can collect stuff. If we're lucky enough to have somewhere to keep the stuff and everything.

But a lot of animals, especially ones that keep going, they have to keep traveling and. They don't have belongings, do they? So I suppose. Maybe other animals do the same as what otters do.

Maybe they keep their favorite. Twig or something like. A panther.

Or a lion. Or a penguin might keep its favorite. Fish head.

I don't know. An egg that didn't hatch. Your brain sometimes dreams while you're awake.

Daydreaming. Yeah, I know. What I'm making.

That was loud, wasn't it? When I'm making the hypnosis recordings. I do drift. Literally between sentences.

And I'm gone. Completely gone. It's weird.

It's a weird old thing. I haven't quite done the daydream. You know, you know, when you're someone's calling your name, you don't hear it.

And suddenly you can't. Oh, what? And I said, I've been calling your name for 17 years. Where have you been? Where was you in your head? He was standing there looking at the wall.

Yeah, I know. It wasn't 17 years though, was it? No, I exaggerated. Your brain said a group of hedgehogs is called a pickle.

I know what a group of crows is called. I don't understand that. That's a horrible word.

Why would they call crows that? But a prickle is a group of hedgehogs, which makes sense because they are prickly. Trash Gordon says. I'm going to read this out.

I'll try to. New to TikTok and looking to make a big difference with my new litter picking adventures. Litter picking.

OK. Cool. Good on you.

That's Trash Gordon. So check out Trash Gordon if you're online on TikTok and, you know, maybe support him with his litter picking adventures. It's not a bad idea, you know.

I've got some people around here that pick up rubbish. I always feel a little bit guilty because they kind of walk up and they're like picking stuff up. And I'm kind of thinking.

I don't know. Should I be doing the same as what they're doing? Perhaps I shouldn't have chucked my rubbish on the floor, you know, while they were walking towards me. The heart of a shrimp is in its head.

Wow. But shrimps are tiny, aren't they? I mean, the whole everything's in its head, really. I just, the head, the body, a shrimp.

Wow. The pause you feel before sleep is your practice, your body practicing letting go. The pause.

I think this is my pause. Butterflies remember being caterpillars. How would anybody know that? Butterflies remember being caterpillars.

I mean, it's a different species, isn't it? I don't think anyone really understands how caterpillars turn into butterflies. But they remember. How, how do they, would they interview them? As far as I'm aware, they can't talk.

They have flashbacks. Eating leaves. I don't know what, how does that work? I mean, really, a caterpillar turning into a butterfly.

It's almost like reincarnation, isn't it? In a sense. I think he's making a lot of noise. He's annoyed with me because I'm not giving him what he wants.

But I don't mind because I've disappointed a lot of people in my time. And I will continue, probably. The moon is slowly, well, the moon is slowly drifting away from Earth.

So I was making fun of me being bald. I'm not bored. I've got hair, look, somewhere.

It's upset me now. Octopuses have three hearts. Octopuses have three hearts.

I think I already knew that, I think. Why do they have three hearts? Doesn't Doctor Who have two hearts? So octopuses have three hearts. They're very bendy, aren't they, octopuses? Very, it's like they can get through the smallest of gaps.

Apparently, elephants think that humans are cute. Again, how are they getting this information? I mean, nobody knows what I'm thinking. So how can they know what an elephant's thinking? So we've got this one.

You blink about 20,000 times a day. I don't because I spend 22 hours asleep. So I don't blink hardly at all.

Yeah, 20,000 times. It's quite a lot, isn't it? No wonder our eyes get tired, all that blinking. Trees can talk to each other through underground fungi networks.

What do they say? If they know they can talk to each other, what do they say? Show me a conversation. Show me a transcript. This is something I really don't need to know.

But I kind of figured it out anyway. Your ears never stop growing. I'm going to move my head.

Cover my ears. The thing is, right? My ears used to be huge. But then my head became bigger.

My face became bigger. So I don't know if they're much bigger. I mean, I was looking at some pictures the other day.

And it was showing really famous people from the past with their pets, I think. And apparently got an unstable connection. Just trying to figure out.

Ears growing. Yeah, and these people, these famous people from being like 20 to 70, you could see that parts of them had kind of, was a different proportion. I'm not talking about bodies, but facially, there's like a different proportion to what it was when they were growing.

When they were younger. So it's just natural. So blimey, I wonder what my ears are going to look like when I'm 70 or 80.

They'll just be like flapping around. Wow. I had a friend who had his ears pierced back.

And he didn't need it. His ears were just, he was no more sticky out than mine. But he, people used to like tell him that he had sticky out ears.

And because he reacted to it the first time, I think they kept doing it. So he, it became a big issue to him and he ended up having his ears stapled back. But he looked absolutely fine.

But when he had them done, he suddenly gained a lot of confidence. So I felt good, good for him. But he's nothing wrong with his ears.

I mean, he got upset with me when I told him. Like when I said to him, why, why are you bothering with that? Your ears are fine. And he couldn't see it.

All he could see was his big flappy ears. And I said, look, you're right. Your ears are fine.

And he turned around and he knocked me off my chair. Sorry, this is sad. I shouldn't say it.

Okay. He knocked me off my chair. With his ears.

And he flew away. No, he, I was trying to compose myself then and I nearly made myself laugh. Okay, I'm back.

So there's something they're trying to get my, get my attention. See what people on the coming on TikTok and watching me saying, oh, you're talking to yourself. You're the, yeah, actually I'm making a podcast.

So unlike maybe some people that come on TikTok and they are literally talking to themselves, like one or two people, which technically I am, but actually I'm doing something. I'm making a podcast. So this is, that's just something I'm just adding just for something.

So this person wants me to say, no, I get, I get an okay following. Thanks. Cheers.

I don't get, TikTok's all new to me. I'm just adding. The thing is what I don't get is on my podcast or my YouTube or anything.

I don't get a lot of people. I hate people are generally quite nice. So, you know, I mean, YouTube can be a bit weird.

It has been in the past, but generally it's all right. I've been doing this 20 years. So I'm all right.

I'm just plodding along. And I do wonder if there's much point in me actually doing the live stream myself at the same time, but there's nothing, nothing doesn't really affect me. Really.

I just add it on there. I mean, sometimes it gets some nice comments, but usually not. Usually it's people that are just venting their inner frustrations, you know, which is fine.

It's all harmless fun, isn't it? Because I think what it is, they don't see, they don't see human being on the screen. It's just like some weird person. They see, they don't think as the people as being human.

And they come and they say stuff like trying to insult on how someone looks. And it's all, it's very rarely original. Sometimes it is, you know, I've been made to someone, a couple of people made me laugh in the past, but generally it's the same old stuff.

So I just got to assume it's some little kid on their parents' computer or on their parents' phone or whatever, and just, just letting, letting go of some frustration, I suppose, because it's not easy, is it? Being a kid and being told what to do all the time. It's not easy being an adult either. So I suppose if it's a release, a release of tension, at least, you know, because it's still probably better to do it online, isn't it?

To say something to someone who's making a video or was doing a live broadcast than to actually walk up to someone, a real person and be rude to them because the outcome might not be so good for you.

You know, I wouldn't do that. I wouldn't walk up to someone and start being rude to them. So I suppose it keeps it a safe distance, doesn't it? So yeah, but then I wouldn't, I wouldn't walk up to someone and then just start talking and doing a podcast because that would be weird.

So I just walk up to someone's just like, hi, and welcome to Let Me Bore You To Sleep. My name is Jason Newland. So yeah, I was in the park the other day with Vinnie and he did the biggest poo.

And I'd just be looking at me like, what, what, what is this? Who are you? Leave me alone. It'd be strange. So I think walking up to people in the street, if you don't know them, it's kind of just probably weird anyway, isn't it? I think being saying horrible things to people online is a bit weird, but I've never really done it.

You know, I watch, see X, X is probably the, my least favourite place to go online because there's some horrible stuff on there. So I don't really, I'm not a big fan of X or former Tik Tok, Tik Tok, former, what was it? I now know it is X. It's weird. I've forgotten what it used to be called.

Um, but the tweet, tweet, Twitter, that's it. Wow. The only person in the world that's forgotten what Twitter X used to be called.

And now there's videos on there of just not very nice things. So yeah, not, not my thing. Instagram.

I mean, I'm only really on Instagram to promote my stuff. I'm only, I was only ever on Twitter to promote my stuff. I was only ever on Facebook to promote my stuff.

I was only ever on YouTube to promote my stuff. You know, any online stuff I did, any online activity was always to promote my podcasts, my recordings, my videos. And that's the only reason I was ever on any of the social media places or social, yeah, social media, whatever.

Never for any other reason. I know that I upset some friends and family when, because at the beginning, everyone was joining. Oh, join, join, join, join, become friends with me, even though we've known each other forever and you live downstairs, come on, join.

So I did all that. And then I thought I had a couple of people coming on. In fact, I had one person started, they befriended my, someone that I was close to.

And I thought, oh, you know, offline, they were talking to them and this person wasn't comfortable with it happening. So I decided I'm just going to block every member of my family, every friend, like live friend off of Facebook. I did this a long time ago, over 10 years ago, I think.

And some people didn't talk to me again after that. And so it was like, okay, you got my telephone number. You can text me or you can contact me.

Facebook is just a website. I tried to explain this to people and they weren't getting it. It's just a website.

It's not a real thing. It's not a physical thing. It's just a place where we post stuff.

And, you know, I'm thankful to Facebook because if it wasn't for Facebook, well, just all of them really, less Twitter, because I didn't really have a huge amount of followers on Twitter, but Facebook, I had the maximum amount of friends when I, you know, I've got 4,000 now, but I used to have 5,000. How many have I got on Facebook? Let's have a look. By the way, anyone that follows me, how are you feeling about me adding my, all my videos on there so you can watch them instead of having to go to YouTube or maybe you can listen to them without having to go to the podcast even.

Anyone? Anyone, anyone, anyone, anyone? So Jason Newland, my actual main page that I've had since, wow. Will it give me the information how long I've had it? About, it might do. About, about, about, about, about.

No, it's not giving me anything. I thought it would. I really did.

Category, personal details. Nope, it's not. Interest, travel, contact information.

Legal. Nice, not telling me. Events, events, maybe give me events as in joining.

Nope, nothing. Anyway, I've got 4,000 followers. Oh no, this is not my normal page.

I want to go to my normal page. Jason Newland. So I don't have friends.

I've got 4,000 followers. Friends. How weird.

That's very strange. I mean, I've got, I have got a few real life friends on here now. So 4,000 followers, 320 following.

And then on my Jason Newland hypnotist page, which is not a group. It's just a page. I have, if it opens up.

Let it be, let it be. Jason Newland hypnotist. I've got 25,000 followers on there and 26,000 likes.

So I still get hardly any, any traction from there, but it's, it's something, isn't it? And I've got my own Facebook page, my Facebook group, which is Jason Newland's boring group. And I've got 242 members, did have 243, but somebody left and I don't know who and I don't know why. Oh, well.

So I pretty much upload my videos and share my stuff that I produced. And that's the only reason I was ever on Facebook to start with. I started off in MySpace, MySpace kind of, most people migrated from MySpace to Facebook.

Because it was the next big thing. MySpace was really popular for, it was kind of the first social networking site. Then Facebook kind of took over and loads tried, but nothing could beat Facebook.

But now Facebook's not really, I mean, there's other, other things have come along and targeted perhaps, I don't know, different groups. So you got people on TikTok, you got people on Instagram, people on, what's that one that you send pictures to people or send a chat and then it's disappeared or something. I'm not on there.

Then there's dating sites. I'm not on any of them. But, you know, there's, there's lots of different ways of communicating now, I suppose.

What's that thing people use to send messages? I forget now, but I used to be on it, but I'm not now. So, yeah, it's kind of, I don't know what my point, I don't know what my point was or why I'm even talking about this, but yeah, just, wow, a single teaspoon of honey. A single teaspoon of honey is the lifetime work of 12 bees.

Wow. It's crazy, isn't it? A yawn can be contagious across species. I didn't know that.

I didn't. So next time I'm being attacked by a bear, I want to put on like a fake yawn. Hopefully they'll yawn and then I'll yawn again, stretch my arms and they'll fall asleep.

And if that doesn't work, I'll talk to them. The average person spends six months of their life waiting at traffic lights. Six months.

It's quite a lot, isn't it? It's quite a lot. Yeah. Your body glows faintly in the dark, not just the human eyes.

The colour of Coca-Cola used to be green. This is a myth people enjoy repeating. Well, if it's a, if it's a myth, why are you putting it on here? So does that mean some of this stuff isn't true? 100 useless facts that are weirdly comforting.

So did Coca-Cola used to be green? Did it used to be or not? Apparently bees can recognize, bees can recognize human faces. I'm not sure about that. That doesn't, I don't know.

A single tea. Okay. You share a birthday.

You, you share a birthday with millions of people. Okay. So let's say there's 8 million people on a planet, 8 billion people on a planet.

There's 365 days in a year. So you divide 8 billion by 365. I suppose it does make sense that millions of people will be born on the same day or have the same date as a birthday.

But have they actually done a survey like a proper survey? Hmm. There are more trees on earth than stars in the Milky Way by rough estimates. Rough estimates.

First of all, nobody knows how many trees there are in the UK in, in the, on earth. How are they going to know this? Apparently, isn't this still parts of the rainforest that have not even been explored? The human beings haven't even got into. Where tribes may still live.

Of course, they're human beings, but you know, where it's like, it's that big. Hard to really, you'd think they'd just drive through. Why don't you just drive through on a motorbike or something? If they wanted to get through one end of the rainforest to the other, surely they could have done it by now.

Cats have a purr they use to heal themselves. Are these real? I mean, I think cats, cat purrs do. It does feel healing.

I'll be honest. I'm not, I'm not really. A cat person, but I did have.

Just got a message here. Let's open this up. It's just come through as I'm talking.

Hi, Jason. I don't have any questions. However, I want to thank you for being an awesome friend to me all these years.

You have been so kind to reach out to me lately through some tough times, never told. I don't know if I should read this out. Should I read this out? Jason? I'll read it out anyway.

This is from, never told you this, but you got me through tough times 15 years ago. Thanks, Boston. I appreciate that.

I didn't know that. So I do appreciate that. You sure you haven't got a question though? Give me a random question because I haven't got any yet.

I do need a question from everybody. Wow. It's kind of weird, not weird, but just.

I remember I got, um, I forget what it's called. There was a thing that used to be, I think it was Google MSN where people used to chat. MSN chat or something.

And someone sent me a message randomly. And I kind of didn't know who it was from. Didn't even know I was on MSN chat.

And this was probably about 2009. And it was this, I say young lad. I don't know how old he was, but I think he was quite young, probably about 16, 17.

And he was thanking me because his mum listened to my recordings for the final three or four months. And he was just thanking me for that. I was like, wow.

I didn't know who he was. Didn't know who his mum was. Lived in another country, I think probably America or somewhere.

And it was like, it felt really good. To know that actually, even though what I do might seem pointless to people watching it live and like, I'm just chatting. He's just talking to himself.

Do you know you're talking to yourself? Are you doing a podcast as well? Do you have the same audience as you have here? That's the kind of stuff that they're writing on TikTok. As well as other stuff like calling me baldy and much, much worse. I don't know why I put myself through it, to be honest.

Anyway, and it's really nice. So thank you, Boston, Boston Chicky. By the way, check out Boston Chicky's YouTube channel.

Or if you're on TikTok, check out Boston Chicky on TikTok. And she makes blogs or video vlogs or whatever. And yeah, kind of support her if you want to.

I think on the subject of Boston. I used to do, I mean, I did hypnosis recordings. That was what I started off doing.

That was my predominant thing. Relaxation, sleep and chronic pain relief. That was what I was focusing on for years on YouTube, but also making podcasts as well.

And then I was making these update videos every now and then. Where I would just talk about what's going on, you know, as if I moved home. I've now moved.

This is my new home, blah, blah, or I'd do videos about college, how things were going. And it just be update videos. And I do maybe one a week, sometimes none for ages, and maybe three or four in a week, you know, depending on how chatty I was feeling.

And then I came across Boston in about 2000 and I don't know if it was 10 ish. And she introduced me to a blogging community or vlogging community, which would do in there was this. It was a challenge to do a video, a YouTube video every day.

For an entire year. Without a break. And I forget what it's called 365 something.

So Boston introduced me to what she was doing. And I thought, okay, well, it's similar to what I do with my with my update videos. At this time, I don't think I had the podcast.

I don't think I was doing the Jason chat videos. I might have been but I don't think I was. Anyway, I decided to join this group and like, do a video every single day.

And I didn't accomplish it. I really didn't. But it was it was quite nice to see.

So I was watching other people because you also were supporting each other. So I was supporting other other vloggers. And I realized it's quite interesting to to see into other people's worlds other people's lives.

And like real, I say real people, people that are just general people, as opposed to film stars or musicians or not as anything wrong with, you know, watching vlogs by them, but just I don't know, it seemed a bit more authentic in some ways. And these are people that weren't trying to sell anything. They weren't promoting anything.

And they didn't have ulterior motives to try and for anything. It was just basically vlogging, posting a video about their life, maybe about their hobby, maybe about what they're going through, what they've been through. Yeah, and there was a few beefs going on between people as well.

So there'd be reaction videos and stuff that was quite funny at times. I didn't get involved in that, but I did watch a few of them. And yeah, I quite liked it.

And the thing is, what happened with my YouTube channel is I think I started enjoying doing the vlogs more than the hypnosis ones, because I didn't need it to be quiet when I did the vlogs when I did just talking about like here. So someone's someone's foot Dan said, this helps so much. Thank you.

I appreciate it. Thanks, Dan. So if I've missed any of the comments, I can't go back.

Because so many of the comments I get are quite, you know, not necessarily particularly nice. It means I'm, I miss the ones that are nice sometimes. And it's a shame because, you know, there's a lot of nice people out there.

There's a lot of people that are genuine. If anything, I would say probably. I'd say it's more nice people than not.

And also some of the people that are online doing horrible messages. They're not horrible people. They're just it's pretty funny to them.

It's their sense of humor. They're trying to make their friends laugh. Maybe they're all online together by watching each other do stuff, you know.

Trying to outdo each other with the rudest thing they can type and stuff. So it's not. I try not to take it too seriously.

But occasionally, too much of it can be a bit like, oh, you know. But generally, so I'm just looking back. Sorry, I don't.

I've tried not to give it too much attention. But at the same time, I've had hundreds of people come in there. Like Rosie, I think I know your boyfriend.

I mean, what did Rosie? What did she get out of writing that down? You know, someone called Tori was asking me questions. And he was like, answer me. Hi, hi, Lacey.

So all these people have gone now. So they've moved on. I only got one person in there watching.

So there's been a lot of people, I've had hundreds and hundreds of hundreds of people have traveled through and seen me and moved on. Which is fine. It's just sand, sand, standard stuff.

Jack says, accept my request. I can't actually have anyone come on here. Because I'm making my podcast.

But thanks anyway. So then what happened with the I continue doing adjacent chats every now and then. But I got a few complaints back in about 2011.

And I saw some people moaning about me online saying, Oh, he seems to just moved on to making vlogs now. Doesn't seem to care about the hypnosis stuff anymore. Which wasn't true.

But maybe because I was doing a video every day for a while. And it's much easier to do a video. Where I haven't got to worry about it being quiet in the background.

Then doing one where I need silence as much as possible. Because now, can you say hi to Aura? Hi Aura. Nice to meet you.

It's a nice name, Aura, isn't it? So I now put Vinnie into the bedroom when I do a hypnosis session. And I hope you appreciate I felt ill earlier. I've pushed I pulled I pushed through feeling ill while I was doing this recording.

I really felt unwell, but I just kept at it. I think Boston's cheered me up a bit. But And I was thinking, oh, when it came to the the vlogs.

So I kind of stopped doing it for a bit. And occasionally I'll do one. I mean, I've done hundreds of them and most of them are gone.

Absolutely loads and loads and loads and loads over the years. Including all the update ones I did. I got a few, but most of them have been deleted.

And I got a few, there's still a few and they're on YouTube. So I've uploaded them. But yeah, a lot of them gone, gone, gone.

And then someone said to me, and this was about eight years ago, because I was doing my Jason chats. I just do like a Saturday Jason chats. And just do an update, you know, like, oh, and this is happening.

And I just talked for about an hour. Maybe once a week, maybe every couple of weeks, just randomness. It wasn't really like a regular thing.

And I was very much focused on podcasts at that time and making a few videos, but I wasn't really on YouTube anymore at the time. Because I'd lost that. Well, I'd cancelled my own YouTube channel back in 2013.

And someone sent me a message. So I had this, this was a new YouTube channel that I had. And so this was what nine years ago or something.

I don't know. And they said, your, your Jason chat videos really send me to sleep. They're really boring and they send me to sleep, but they did say, not in a bad way, not being rude, but just, they bore me to sleep.

And I thought, Hmm. Bore me to sleep. So I'm boring people to sleep by talking about my life and sharing my innermost thoughts at times, sharing stories about my past dreams about the future and my things, my love life in the past.

And family and school and different jobs I've had different places I've lived. So my whole life is broken down into be one word boring. And I thought, instead of taking the negative on that one, I thought, Oh, okay.

Perhaps I can work with that. And I do understand that it might not just be what I'm talking about, but maybe how I'm talking about it. And I know that some people would argue, would say that I'm perhaps not the fastest talker in the world.

I probably agree. I mean, when I'm, when I'm excited, I do talk faster. And Sarah wants to join.

I mean, I might do a five minute. I bet I'm more of a slow talker than you. If you wait for a little while and when I finish my podcast, maybe I'll, I'll, I'll say hello.

Cause I don't, I won't record it, but I'll just say like a little hello to everyone or whatever. And if you want to come on, but right now I'm going to be, just got to finish my podcast, but I'm getting close to it. It's near the end.

It's near the end of the podcast, everyone. And so just have a quick look. You're slightly taller in the morning than at night.

Yep. I'm not going to be shorter tardigrades can survive in space. I don't know what a tardigrade is.

Does anybody? And the human body replaces most of its cells over time. I heard that. I thought it was like every seven years, the body, the human body is completely replaced.

Every seven years, some birds sleep with half their brain at a time. The thing is just because we're asleep, our brains are still working now, aren't they? Because all of our body functions still occur, including our ears. So if we were asleep and someone knocked on the door, we wouldn't hear it if our ears weren't working.

So our ears are listening even when we're asleep. Yeah. And I guess if it became really, really, really, really cold in your room, in your bedroom, you're going to wake up.

It's going to wake you up, isn't it? Probably. I don't mean cold as in dangerous, but like if it's a summer and then suddenly it's like minus degree. Why would it be minus degrees in the summer? I don't know.

Unless you live in the Antarctic. I don't know. But yeah.

The first oranges weren't orange. How would anyone know? I mean, literally, I'm guessing, that's a guess. The oranges were around long before humans.

Dolphins have names for each other. The smell of freshly cut grass is a plant. No, don't tell me that.

I like the smell of freshly cut grass. Apparently it's not. No, I'm not going to read that out.

You have a unique tongue print. Really? You know what I didn't understand? This has got me for years and years and years. I'm just thinking about the mouth now.

In America, I've seen so many, not just movies, but documentaries, stuff on YouTube still, where people are filming themselves being stopped or someone else is filming the person being stopped by the police in their car and get them out. And they get them walking up, trying to walk up a line, a straight line and lifting their leg up, touching their nose and all that stuff. Thinking they might be over the limit.

When all you need to do is give them a breathalyzer, and it takes like seconds, like a minute of time, rather than 15 minutes, 20 minutes faffing around. Give them a breathalyzer. If it's above the limit, take him to the police station, which is the standard thing.

You know, why go through all that faffing? Because even if they can do all that, what if they're still over the limit? And maybe they're a trained gymnast. And actually they only have to use about 5% of their gymnastic ability in their brain to just behave normally. I don't know what that means.

I'm going to leave you with one last thing because my camera is running out of batteries. Apparently, the average person has 70,000 thoughts a day. Okay.

And you can't tickle yourself properly. Let's try this. I used to be ticklish.

I don't know if I am anymore. Anyway. Anyway.

I don't know. So that's it from me. Thank you very much for listening.

Remember to be kind to yourself because you do deserve to be happy and be gentle with yourself. You deserve to feel safe. Lots of love.

Bye.
