Hello and welcome to Let Me Bore You To Sleep. My name is Jason Newland. Newland.

Please only listen when you can safely close your eyes. And just to let you know that all my podcasts are available on pretty much all of the podcast hosts such as Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Castbox, Spreaker, you name it they're generally there. I do six versions of each recording.

Three without music, three with music. I do a short version which is just a standard recording. Although short might mean an hour and a half.

Then I do a long version which is about five hours and I do a overnight version. I've got Vinnie in the background. He has to join in these recordings because I put him in a bedroom now when I do the hypnosis stuff.

So he's basically spending a couple of hours a day or maybe an hour and a half to two hours a day in the bedroom now. Not all at one time but so I kind of have to. I don't have to but I like to have him here.

See like he wants to be part of things. Anyway and I've also got a YouTube channel so you can find me on there. All my recordings are uploaded to that as well.

I also share my recordings on TikTok, Instagram, my videos Instagram, TikTok and x and also Facebook. I'm now able to get access to Facebook after being locked out for a couple of days or something. Okay it's weird I don't know what's happening there.

First of all I could get onto my phone and then a pad. He's being particularly noisy now. He's really making up for all the quiet that he's been having to be put through.

But I'll update you on all the stuff I'm doing anyway in a minute. It's really interesting. I'm doing this recording a bit earlier because last night I was half fallen asleep when I was doing it.

So I thought I'd do it. You know it's only five past five in the afternoon. So I'm still relatively fresh.

Fresh. He's fresh. Exciting.

He's so exciting to me. And yeah so I've also got a Facebook page Jason Newland's Boring Group. And yeah so what I've decided to do on Facebook is also I want to say hello to Boston Chicky.

So what I've been doing is and it's up to date as well. So instead of just posting a picture with my web address I now am actually posting what I'm downloading the video from YouTube and posting that onto Facebook. I do the same with Wow he doesn't normally make this much noise does he? He's in revenge mode I think.

So I do a shortened version. So with the hypnosis stuff they're generally under an hour. But Let Me Bore You To Sleep is rarely under an hour.

So I have to reduce the size cut it to 59 minutes then I upload it to TikTok X and Instagram. But as far as I can see I'll put this on mute just to make sure I don't start talking. But as far as I can see this is the whole video.

Although is it? I don't know if it's playing. It's not got a play thing. Oh that's weird.

Very strange. Nothing's playing. Nothing at all.

That's a bit strange. I wouldn't have just posted the picture in this would I? No I definitely posted the video. Perhaps if I refresh the page it will come up.

Very very very unusual. Because the other ones are fine. But that one's it's not coming up at all.

Right in that case I'm going to delete that. Let's go to why is that then? That's very very very strange. Maybe it's because it shared it and it doesn't.

Nope. Oh okay. Right so what I'm going to do is I have to delete that then and go back.

This isn't quite as exciting for people listening is it? Because you can't see what I'm talking about. But it's very strange. Right so on my Jason Newland hypnotist page.

As in. Ramping up the amount of recordings that I've done. I do know but I don't know.

It's almost. It's weird. It's almost like I've.

I'm testing myself. Like I want to find out if I can do it. And I set myself a target of three hypnosis recordings and one Let Me Bore You To Sleep recording each day.

Had I did it Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday successfully. And today I have done two hypnosis recordings. And I'm now doing this recording.

So it means I'll only have to do what I only have to but don't have to do it. But I've only have one hypnosis recording left to do later. And it's just.

It's weird. It's actually. It's doable, but it's very time consuming.

And I've noticed that I don't get a lot done in the morning. The morning time is not for me, even though I wake up early. I'm not very productive in the morning.

Come afternoon time. I seem to have a bit more focus to do stuff. I don't quite understand why that is.

But yeah, so I've done today. I've done two. I've done a recording called accepting how you look, which is already uploaded now.

And I also made a recording called gratitude as deep rest. Deep rest. I'm going to say that slowly otherwise it sounds a bit rude.

And I don't know what the third one is going to be about. I mean, everything I do is going to have an element of relaxation because, you know, that's kind of what I'm about. And they're all so going to have that sleepy element so that, you know, people can fall asleep listening to it if they so choose.

And I do listen back to every single recording that I do now. And I've noticed that I fall asleep every time. And not only do I fall asleep.

The, I find that the next video plays on YouTube, I don't, you know, so it's sometimes I'm like listening to two recordings before I wake up. I suppose I want to try and find out if what I'm doing, by testing it on myself, or testing it, but I mean, I've had 20 years of testing my stuff really haven't known people, but you've been my guinea pigs for two decades, don't you know?

Yeah, I don't like the idea of testing on people, but and I feel that what I'm doing seems to, if it works for me, and it always relaxes me, my recordings always relax me. So, and it's not because I like the sound of my own voice.

That's not the only reason. I mean, in reality, if I was going to listen to a relaxation recording, I would probably prefer to listen to a female voice. Just as a as a preference.

If I think about some of the relaxation tapes I've listened to in the past, they've all been female. Not not, it's not really any reason for I don't think it's just, you know, because I was listening to a relaxation tape back in 2000, 99, the end of 99. Yeah, the end of 1999.

And I was listening to this tape. It was like a meditation tape. And I listened twice a day.

And there was music. So I did like the music as well. But the problem with music, when it comes to YouTube and podcasts, is very limited, because even when I put stuff on that was copyright free, my podcast host wasn't allowing it.

Now I lost a lot of recordings because of that. But Spree can now make available their own sounds and their own music. But it's just, I don't know.

I suppose I prefer, I prefer listening without music. In fact, I never listen to my recordings with music ever. Because in the same way, I don't like listening to watching YouTube videos or listening to stuff when there's background music.

I like it, especially, he's really winding me up. He's not actually winding me up, but I find it. He knows.

He knows because whenever I start talking, he stops. When I kind of stop like that. And I start saying he's doing this, he just, his ears prick up.

What was I talking about? I don't know. I haven't watched much on television the last three days, four days. I'm not listening to my recordings to, it's not even necessarily to relax.

I just want to listen to make sure they sound okay. And to, I guess, get into that zone. Get into the zone of how to talk and the tone and the rhythm and all that stuff.

Getting into the rhythm, baby. Yeah. I took Vinnie out at, what is it? It's half past four.

And we came back and it was still light at five o'clock. It was like brilliant. It's so nice.

I'm loving, I know I talk about it a lot, but I'm loving it. Loving, loving, loving, loving, loving the lighter evenings. The lighter mornings, it is like by 7.30 in the morning now.

Doesn't hugely affect me because I don't generally go out early in the morning. But it's quite handy to have it, you know, in the evening. But it's been raining all day long.

I got wet. I didn't get really wet the first two times, but the third time, yeah, I had to change my trousers. The socks are on the radiator.

The socks are on the radiator and my shoes are in the oven. I've not heard from the council at all about the toilet, even though I contacted them. Was it yesterday? Or the day before yesterday? Was it the day before yesterday? Anyway, they've not got back to me yet.

Just waiting for someone to call me to let me know when they're coming around. But now, now it has occurred. And I find that strange.

Very, very, very strange indeed. You know, I mean, I found it strange. Very strange indeed.

Indeed. Very strange. So it's Thursday today.

I'm not sure what I'm going to eat for dinner. It's going to be a case of looking through the freezer and trying to find something I can stick inside a roll. But I didn't want to get any food today.

I wanted to wait till tomorrow. And just, you know, as a budgeting strategy, to keep track, because I get my deliveries by UberEats. Uh, groceries, everything, but they don't always take the money out of my bank when they like straight away.

So sometimes I look at my bank account and think, Oh, I've got like a hundred pounds in there. And then the next day I'm not minus 15 pounds because there's two deliveries that I've not, they've not taken out. Where was it? There was a place that did that.

I think it was the, Oh, I can't remember now. There was a place I used to shop and they didn't used to take the money out until like a few days later. So it wouldn't go out instantly.

Where was that? Because that was annoying. I think my, was it a petrol station? So I'd look at my bank thinking, Oh, I've got 15 pounds. But in reality, um, you know, go out the next day to go and buy something.

And there was no money in there because that 15 pounds plus maybe another seven pounds has gone out of my account for stuff that was purchased three days ago. It's weird though, isn't it? Because once my account was at zero, I couldn't purchase anything, even though they're not going to take the money out for three days. That's one of the reasons I quite like Sainsbury's when I used to get deliveries from them is they don't take their money out till the day that they deliver.

I think the other supermarkets all take the money out when you order. So it makes it a little bit harder to book a slot. So let's say, if you get paid, let's say I got paid tomorrow.

In order to get a delivery tomorrow, I'd have to order it probably Monday, the Monday before, maybe the week before to get delivered on a Friday. But then I'd have to pay for it. But then I wouldn't have the money to pay for it because I hadn't been paid.

You see what I mean? But with Sainsbury's, they don't, well, I don't know if they, if they've continued that, but they never used to charge until the actual day, which I thought was quite cool. But I don't get deliveries from supermarkets anymore, because I just, it's just the bending over and picking all this stuff up from the trolley, from the trolley, is it? The different trolleys they have.

It's just, yeah, it doesn't quite suit my, my current back status, as it were.

Yes, doesn't quite shoot it. So yeah, blimey. So I've just been, as I've been doing these recordings, I don't know what's got into me.

I don't want to complain, but something's seems to have got wound me up, but in a positive way. And just made me think that this is something that I need to do. I need to be making more recordings and, and I'm listening to them.

So it's, I don't think it's a case of with the hypnosis recordings, the more I do, the worse they are. Because I'm not doing them one after another, you know, they're spread out throughout the day. Otherwise, I wouldn't even know what I was talking about, would I? I don't think.

Nothing new there. Hey, hey, hey. Now I want to see whether or not it's uploaded on, on Facebook.

It's not. Yeah, that one is. This is weird.

So I've now, it's now coming up that it's just an image, no video, no video. And I'm thinking, maybe it's because there was no video to start with. Maybe I'm just uploading an image.

That may be what I've done. Wow. Yeah, that might be what I've done because it's still, it's got the same name as the video.

That might be the whole thing. Wow. I didn't even think about that.

So I, what is it? 1553. It was a PNG file. Okey dokey.

So I'm thinking 1552, 1553, 1553. Now there is a video, but it wasn't what I did. So if I upload that, blimey.

So that's what it was. I basically uploaded an image. Silly old me.

What's going on? So I'm just going to upload that, post it, and it should be fine now. Who'd have thought that that would happen? Who? All of us, maybe? I don't know. I genuinely, genuinely couldn't figure it out.

I'm looking at it because it's exactly the same picture as the video because it's just a set image with the audio underneath. But then, you know, it gets turned into a video when it's processed up to YouTube. It's a picture of Vinnie pouring a bucket of water over me to wake me up because I'm so tired doing a podcast.

I'm surrounded by cups of coffee. I mean, that is how I felt last night. I'm still thinking about what I heard yesterday, the Jim Rohn line of find what you find, what you can do easily and then work hard at it.

It's kind of stuck with me. It was only yesterday that I saw that, just that line. The idea is just, I like that.

Find something that you find easy and basically put everything into it. And it seems that that is what I am currently doing. Yeah, just putting everything into this.

Maybe it's because my recording studio broke a week ago or two weeks ago. Maybe it's because I'm a Londoner and I love London town. Maybe it's because of the weird experience I had on TikTok last Friday or whenever it was, was it Sunday? Maybe it was, I don't know, the aftereffects of that, the after effects.

I sort of like maybe started to second guess myself because here I am saying, well, no, I'm not on here. I'm not trying to meet people. I'm on here to help people.

That's why I've spent 20 years doing it. And maybe I'm kind of doubling up on that by making more recordings because it's true. That's why I do what I do is to hopefully be of use and send a few people to sleep through my boredom, through me being really boring.

And that can be a gift. Potentially. I was watching YouTube and Chisora and Deontay Wilder were talking about their, I think it's the 4th of April.

So I think it's Easter weekend to be the Saturday, the 4th of April. Let's have a look. Let's have a look.

February, March, April the 4th. It's a Saturday. Yeah.

So that's, that's then Easter weekend. So what I'm going to be watching that. I'm looking forward to that.

I think it's at the O2 stadium. It's supposed to be Chisora's last ever fight because it's his 50th fight. The thing is, he's much more chilled out now than he used to be.

And there was an interview on, I think TalkSpot. So it was on the YouTube channel and Simon, I can't remember his surname, was talking to, basically interviewing Deontay Wilder and Derek Chisora at the same time. And they're sitting next to each other because they're actually friends in real life, but they're not going to be on the night.

And Simon, everything was going quite well, actually. Everyone, you know, the boxes were coming across really well. And then Simon decides to start talking about Tyson Fury.

And Wilder said, No, I'm not talking about that. And then he said, Simon said a couple of things that really set Wilder off. And he started shouting, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

I'm from Alabama. I don't know why he kept mentioning that. I'm from Enfield.

I don't think I've ever shouted that out in public. Get into an argument with someone. I'm from Enfield.

That's where I was born. Edmonton, Enfield. Okay.

No, but yeah, apparently, he's from Alabama. So that's not Alabama. Alabama, Alabama.

I've never been there. But he's, it seems like he's taken on the weight of the world of history. Of American, Alabama history.

He's really, yeah, he seemed very, very upset. And Simon wasn't backing down. So it was only about Tyson Fury and then it went on to, yeah, it went on to a different direction.

Which it didn't need to really. But in a way, it's stuff like that that sells fights, isn't it? Because then they weren't going at each other. The two boxers.

So it ends up, you know, I guess, the host who's quite controversial anyway, he's had a lot of boxers have a go at him over the years for stuff he said. So, yeah, it was quite funny because at one point, Deontay Wilder was standing up right in front of the desk that Simon was sitting behind. And Deontay is about six foot, about 6'6", I think.

And these security come and they were kind of trying to let him know that they were there. But what's funny is not one of them touched him. No one put their hands on him, not even like, because quite often they'll put their hands on the, on the chest, you know, just to kind of, to make a little bit of distance, but no.

Or like, you know, hold the backers, let's walk out this way. None of that stuff. They didn't put, they didn't touch him at all.

Which is probably a wise move, because he, yeah, he probably wasn't, he's not someone, the only, the only chance he'd have is if they wrestled him to the ground, which is probably the only thing they could do. But it's easy saying that to Dunn because he's, you know, he's a professional boxer. And I've heard he's got quite a big punch.

Hmm. Yes. He doesn't do that anymore.

Apparently he had some kind of psychedelic experience and he's, he doesn't do bomb squad anymore. See, that's the thing that I find, I found a bit unusual that they were talking about his psychedelic experience on radio. It's a radio show.

During the afternoon. So they're talking about that. Yet no one seemed to be in caring that they were openly discussing narcotic use on a daytime program.

Now, well, I'm going to watch it anyway. I'm going to watch the fight on the 4th of April, hopefully. And, um, I don't know.

I, if you just said to me, six months ago, I just said Derek Chisora, Derek Chisora would win. I tried to say, say Derek Chisora twice and it came out two different ways. But the third time it's okay.

Derek Chisora, Derek Chisora, Derek War Chisora. What I want to know is who's Fabio Audley going to fight next? Yeah, that's what I want to know. I genuinely don't know.

It's almost like, who, who could he fight? Who's, who's kind of in the top rankings of, so the top heavy weight boxes, top 10. So let's have a look. Let's have a, let's have a, let's have a look.

So the rankings, this is 200 pounds plus, which is, I'm a heavyweight. I'm, crazy, isn't it? Someone as little as me being a heavyweight. And Fabio Audley is a WBO heavyweight champion.

Alexander Usyk is the IBF, WBC and WBA heavyweight champion. And the number one spot. So this doesn't make sense.

You'd think that so the WBA Super World Heavyweight Champion, WBC World Heavyweight. Okay, so yes, you got the WBC, WBA have got a heavyweight world champion. It makes no sense why they've got that.

And yeah, no sense at all. So Murat Gazyev, who got beaten by Alexander Usyk when they fought for the Unified Cruiserweight title, when they did the, it was one of those contests. I do believe it's the only person that ever beat him, but I might be wrong.

The only person ever beat Murat. And then the WBC Ajit Kabayel is the interim. But there's no interim for the IBF.

I'm kind of a little bit surprised. Why there's no interim? I thought Derek Chisora was the interim. I'm sure he won the interim title.

So, according to this, the WBO heavyweights here, these are the top 15. So number 15 for the WBO is Gustavo Trugillo, 14 Solomon Dekers, 13 Richard Rickerpore, 12 Victor Weichrist, Nelson Heiser, 10, no 11, 10 Jermaine Franklin. See this, this I find strange.

So, Moses Atalma is the number one on the list of the WBO and the WBA. Yeah, the IBF, he's number 13. I mean, how does that work? It's like really very strange.

And the WBC, he's number four. I honestly, I'm not sure how they work it out. I mean, I don't know.

I suppose you got to look at where was, where was Dillian White ranked when Moses beat him? You know, that's, that's a question, isn't it? Philip Hergovich is number two, the WBO. Yeah, that's really strange because Alaslanbek Makhibov, he's number six of the WBA. He's, I think he's fighting Tyson Fury.

So, he's not really, it's weird how they, how the people are so different, like the IBF have got it completely different. They've got Derek Chisholm at number two. WBO has got Derek Chisholm at number seven.

The WBC belt have got Derek Chisholm at 14. And the WBA have got Derek Chisholm at, he's not even on the list. Not even on the list, the WBA.

How can you be the number two on one list, and then not even be in the top 15 of another list? It kind of doesn't make sense to me. Mind you, I'm looking forward to seeing some of these other boxers that are out there because in the UK, we've very much, not being spoon fed, that's not the right word probably, but we've been presented with a lot of English fighters, a lot of British fighters, heavyweights, because we have in this country, the biggest stable of heavyweight fighters in the world, all with the same management.

So, you know, putting those fights together, having the Brits fight the Brits, it's almost become really easy to do, to put together.

Unlike when Anthony Joshua was trying to get a fight together with Deontay Wilder, it kept falling apart for whatever reason. Mind you, Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua never happened, did it? And they're both Brits, that would have been an easy one to put together. I know it's about money, but it kind of strikes me that would be quite simple to do.

And that's the one that I'll miss. If it never happened, I know they're both at the end of their careers now, they're near the end of their careers. Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, and I don't know if Joshua is ever going to come back, because I don't know how, I just don't know if he's going to get inside a ring again.

But it would have been lovely to have seen them together back in, I'd say probably, I don't know, because Tyson Fury won the world title first, didn't he? Then Anthony Joshua won the world title, like a year later, I think, like a different world title heavyweight. And because Tyson Fury won off Klitschko, then Anthony Joshua won off of, I forget his name now. And that was the worst heavyweight fight I've seen ever.

World title fight, it was awful. It wasn't Anthony Joshua's fault. But every time he touched the other boxer, he fell down, he went down on his bum.

Like literally every time. And they just called it off. It was like, that's it.

And it's probably the easiest, I would say, if you asked Anthony Joshua, he might not agree. But I bet that was his easiest night's work as a professional boxer. Probably just as easy, if not easier than some of the people he fought, when he very first started.

Just he didn't, I don't think he even built a sweat up. It was so, it made, really. The thing is that that person that he fought, he was only, he only became the world champion because his opponent hurt his knee during the fight.

So you might think, nah, he's making up. I'm not. Let me just show you.

So he had his first fight, because he won the Golden Olympics 2012. His first fight was the October the 5th, 2013. So I pretty much, as far as I'm aware, watched every single one of his fights.

And he, he did, he fought a couple of good people. When he got to number seven, so he fought Matt Skelton, who is a previous kind of contender, actually. But quite a few years back.

And he fought Michael Sprott, who I do believe fought for the world title in the past. Let me go back and check. Michael Sprott, Michael Sprott, Michael, Michael, Michael Sprott.

For, he might not have done, he was definitely the European champion for European, for Commonwealth heavyweight title. Prize fighter, prize fighter for European, for IBF, international. Yeah, no, he never fought for the world title, but he was blimey.

He had 71 fights, Michael Sprott did. And he was, he was a name. He really was, he was a name.

Wow, Tony Booth. That's weird. Anyway, so let's go back.

So Anthony Joshua, he fought Kevin Johnson, 2015. I'm pretty sure I have to search this one up. I'm pretty sure that Tyson Fury fought Kevin Johnson as well.

Earlier than that. Let me have a little look. I've got a feeling he did.

But it would have been earlier. Tyson, Tyson, Tyson, Tyson Fury. Yeah, so he, Kevin Johnson, he fought for the world heavyweight title.

Okay, he fought for the international title. So, what am I thinking? No, he fought Vitaly Klitschko, 2009, December 12th for the WBC heavyweight title. Wow, he beat, he also beat Bruce Seldon, 2008.

But Bruce Seldon was a former world champion because Mike Tyson beat him to win the world title back in about 96. How interesting. So he hadn't had a lot, he hadn't had a loss.

He'd won every fight apart from one draw. And then he fought Vitaly Klitschko. And he didn't, he went the distance, but he didn't get to win it.

Oh, that's interesting. He also beat, yeah, he fought Tyson Fury. He did.

And it was, I mean, this was leading up. I mean, Tyson Fury wasn't even, no, he's leading up to him fight for the world title. But he fought, he didn't fight Vitaly, he fought his brother, the other one.

Klitschko, his brother. Wow. So yeah, he's lost, he lost to Christian Hammer.

He lost to Derek Chisora, Emmanuel Char, Anthony Joshua. Anyway, I'm getting, that's not the reason I went on there, is it? So basically, if we go to when he won the world title, this is Anthony Joshua. So he fought Dillian White.

12th of December 2015. And then the 9th, on his 15th fight, his 16th fight, he fought Charles Martin for the world title. And ended in round two.

And he won the IBF heavyweight title. So if we go to Charles Martin, hello Vinnie, you alright mate? He, I wonder if he won any, wonder if he was in the Olympics? Because he was a southpaw. Amateur boxing, no he didn't, he did gold in gloves, and he did some other stuff, but he was never in the Olympics.

He was a southpaw. Anyway, so he won all his fights, had one draw in his 7th fight, and he got all the way up to, yeah, he won the IBF heavyweight title on January 16th, 2016. And then he fought Anthony Joshua on the April.

That's quite, quite quick, wasn't it? So you see who he fought, he fought Vyacheslav Glazkov. Now a lot of people won't even know who he is, but you know me as a boxing fan, I like to know my things. Who he was, was a really, really good fighter.

And he was bronze medal, won the bronze medal in the 2008 Beijing Super Heavyweight Olympic Games. He, so he's a, you know, champion as a, what's it? So here's what happened. See I can tell you what happened, but I'm going to read it, just, basically he got injured in the fight.

So he made his professional 2009 and he beat Steve Cunningham, which gave him the chance to fight for world title. And he had, how many fights? 13, yeah, 21, 23 fights, 21 wins, 13 by knockout, eight by decision, one draw. Then he had the one loss to Charles Martin.

And he beat Tamas Adamek, which was a big, what a big name. He drew with Malik Scott, who was another name, and also you got Steve Cunningham, who's another name. So, I mean, they're all names, but you know what I mean, he kind of, they were quite big names in America.

So he fought Charles Martin. Let me tell you about the Charles Martin fight. Is it going to tell us about it? Come on.

Right. He beat, he defeated Steve Cunningham by unanimous decision on March 15th, 2015, to earn a title fight against Tyson Fury. Now Tyson Fury didn't defend any of his belts at that time.

And then he came back again, didn't he, in about 2000, I don't know, it was 18 or something. So Fury's recognition as IBF champion was withdrawn, because he wasn't, I'm not quite sure what happened, but he wasn't fighting. Oh, okay.

He basically said here that Tyson Fury wanted to have a rematch with Vladimir Klitschko, or Vladimir Klitschko wanted to have a rematch with Tyson Fury. And therefore, Tyson got stripped of his IBF championship belt, because Glazkov was next. Can you make a bit more noise, please, Finny? Thanks, darling.

So Glazkov was matched with Charles Martin for the vacant title. The bout, I'm just going to read it off here, but I know what happened. He hurt his, he injured himself.

The bout, which took place on January the 16th, 2016, at Barkley Centre in Brook Line, ended with Glazkov suffering an injury to his knee in the third round, that rendered him unable to continue. And that injury eventually forced him to retire from the sport. We'll never know.

We're never going to know how good he was. But if you look at some of the names that he beat, as a, wow. So, in 2007, as an amateur, he beat Roberto Carmelos.

I lost, forget that. So he got bronzed, didn't he? He defeated Zilin Zhang, Big Bang Zhang. He defeated Oscar Rivas as well.

Although, again, in 2008, that was in the amateur championships. In the Olympics, he defeated Roberto Alfonso and defeated Nufel Cuota, but he lost to Zilin Zhang, the Big Bang. Oh, he pulled out of the bout with elbow injury.

Maybe he had some bone issues or something. I don't know. But he, what was weird is to win a world title because your opponent has an injured knee doesn't seem fair.

And it was only in round three. I mean, I kind of like, right, if you go to round 11 or round 10, and you've been out boxing someone and they injure their knee, then yeah, you can kind of like, fair enough, you get the nod, you win the title. Kind of.

But round three is halfway through round three. The fight's hardly started. Why can't they just do this, just like a, like a no, no contest.

Doesn't that seem like the nicest way to do it? Maybe because it was for a world title, they're not willing to do that. Someone has to come along, come away with the title. The weird thing about it is, because I saw the face to face with Charles Martin, and he was being interviewed before the fight.

And it's crazy, it's 10 years ago, and I remember it really well. And he's been mocked, mocked over it for years. Because what he said was just so ridiculous.

And I mean, he looked the part. You know, he's a big bloke, obviously heavyweight, he's really tall, good looking. He was the world champion, undefeated.

Well, you know, it's like, okay, this bloke's going to be good. I'd never seen him fight. I knew how he won the world title.

But I'd never seen him fight before. So I just assumed he must be really good. If he's going to fight for world title, he must be a brilliant fighter.

And when he was getting in, I mean, he is, he was he was really good fighter. But yeah. And anyway, he was interviewed.

And they said, Do you think you're going to win? You're going to beat Anton Joshua. And he went into this monologue about how he who he was a god warrior. And he was walking.

He was walking the earth as a god amongst me mortals. And just hearing that made me really, it made me want to get beat so much. And I thought he's no.

Also, he had the 80. He had the second shortest reign as a heavyweight boxing champion. After Tony Tucker, who's his was a 1987.

Also as IBF champion. He didn't start boxing to the age of 22, which is quite old for boxers. Boxers.

So I'm just trying to think. So he lost to Anton Joshua. And he never really got it back, to be honest with you.

He won a couple of fights, lost one, won three, lost one, won one, lost one. And his last fight he won, which was a year and a half ago. He's probably 39 probably now.

He's 39. So I knew he was because I saw it earlier. But I thought it'd look good if I just guessed.

He's probably 39. Oh, I got it right. Even though I'd already looked.

What does it say about his private life? What does it say? What? Oh, OK. August the 5th. Blimey.

So he lost his world title. But in August the 5th, he was shot. He's still around.

But he was like, wow, just a few months later, he survived. But whoa. See, Jared Anderson, he was supposed to be the next big thing in America as a heavyweight.

He was supposed to be. Jared Donovan Anderson. It's almost like his parents were a fan of Razor Ruddock, Donovan Ruddock, who is a former heavyweight champion.

It's weird, isn't it, when that happens? Because you think about it. You don't really know what kind of size your kid's going to be. You know, I mean, I suppose if you're all really, really short, there's a good chance your kid's going to come out being short or if you're really, really tall.

But those genes can just miss a generation, can't they? Because the ginger gene missed all of our generation. And then came out in the kids' generation. So none of my cousins are ginger, but a lot of their kids are.

It's not their fault. Look, it's true. And but then my nan's, I think she had two siblings that were ginger.

I'm hearing something downstairs. I don't know if it's someone singing or shouting. Hmm.

So. That was weird, though, because. That bloke was just oh, he lost to Martin Bercouli.

Yeah. So this bloke is supposed to be the next big thing, Jared Anderson. And this was a weird one for those aren't boxing fans.

This is quite a strange story. So Jared Anderson was on his way to. Pretty much become.

The next heavyweight champion. Almost kind of to to take, I don't know, the next American world champion that was the the hopes from the American promoters. He had I don't know if he was in the Olympics, was he? No.

But he anyway, he's he won the first 17 fights, 15. So he had 19 fights, 18 wins, one loss, 15 knockouts, three decision. So it's a good, good, good thing.

But then in his 18th fight, he fought Martin Bercouli, who knocked him out. And then everyone was talking about Martin Bercouli being the boogeyman, the man, the boxer that no one wants to fight. After that, it's like no one wanted to fight him because he was super scary and he was the biggest puncher and he was the toughest.

And it's kind of weird because he really was like classed as being the scary man. And then what happened is. This is 2024.

He beat Jared Anderson. He also beat Carlos Tecón, who fought for the world title. He beat Tony Yoko, Martin Bercouli.

So Martin Bercouli did beat quite a few good people, actually. And he got beat by Michael Hunter early in his career, like in the 12th fight. But then he came back and he beat Marius Wach.

He beat Kevin Johnson. He beat Tony Yoko, who was the Olympic gold medalist, I think in 2016, I think. And he beat Carlos Tecón, who fought for the world title against Antti Joshua.

And then he beat Jared Anderson, who was the upcoming star. And he went and it was really like this big, he was the scariest monster on the planet for about three weeks. And everyone was saying that nobody wanted to fight him.

Really, it seemed like he was actually buying into it himself. No one wanted to spar him, never mind fight him. And Joseph Parker had a big fight in Dubai.

But his opponent was ill, I think. I can't remember who it was. But his opponent couldn't make the fight.

And there was about 24 hours notice. So they flew in Bercouli. To be fair, it was a long journey, but they flew him in.

And he took the fight at very short notice, really short notice. And Joseph Parker just knocked him out in two rounds. And then in May, he fought Effa Ajakba.

And it was a draw. It was not a good fight. It was so yeah, I don't really know what he's going to be doing in the future.

Hopefully he'll come back. But it's weird is a lot of fighters, they do really well. And then they get stopped by someone.

And then they come back. So I mean, look at Frank Bruno. He fought for the world title four times.

And the fourth time he won. Which is, you know, I mean, I mean, what's his name? Frank Bruno's record, this is what happened. So he was unbeaten.

Then he fought Bonecrusher Smith, who knocked him out. So Bonecrusher Smith was victorious. Bonecrusher Smith went on to win the world title.

And then defended against Mike Tyson and lost back in 1987. I think that he beat, he beat an early Frank Bruno quite a few years earlier. And then Frank Bruno's first world title fight was against Tim Witherspoon, who ironically is who Bonecrusher Smith beat to win the world title in back in 1996 or seven, 86, 87, something like that.

Then what happened next? Yeah, so Tim Witherspoon beat Frank Bruno at Wembley. And that was Frank Bruno's first attempt at a world title. I couldn't believe it.

I'd never really heard of Tim Witherspoon before. And this was in my kind of, these are my outcast years. So I was working in a chip shop.

I didn't really get to keep track of what was going on in the world of boxing. And I was working weird hours. I just didn't have like a normal life really at that time.

But previous to that, I was really into boxing and then I got back into it like in the early 90s. But there was a few years where I didn't. Like 86, when Mike Tyson, I was really, yeah, actually no, just those.

That's not true. Actually, I was really into boxing. To be fair.

I'm just trying to think. I couldn't always watch it though. Sometimes I had to listen to it on a radio.

So, and then maybe watch it on, if there was a sports TV show that showed it later on. Yeah, so I was, no, I was still into boxing. But I didn't always get to see the fights.

And then the next time he fought for world title was against Mike Tyson in 1989. It was like February, 1989, January, February. And he didn't win that one.

His third attempt at world title was against Lennox Lewis. And I'm gonna guess that was around 1992 or 93. 92 or 93.

And he didn't win that one either. And then his fourth attempt at world title was against. His name's gone out of my head.

But anyway, he won. And that was 1995. Because I watched that fight in the pub in Stratford with a lot of other people.

Great, probably one of the best nights in a pub I've ever had. And he beat Lennox Lewis. Not McQuarrie, Mcsomething.

So, and probably quite good. It's kind of weird because he beat the person that knocked out Lennox Lewis. And then he only held the title for a little while.

Because Mike Tyson after a break. And he fought, you know, he wanted Frank Bruno's title. And I'm guessing Frank got paid a huge amount of money.

I hope he did. And yeah, it was kind of the same result as the first fight he had with him. But he won the world title.

That's, that's the main thing. I just, yeah, I didn't want him to fight Mike Tyson again. Especially for me, I didn't like seeing Frank Bruno fighting Mike Tyson ever.

Because I was a big Mike Tyson fan. So I don't and I didn't like watching Frank Bruno fighting against Lennox Lewis because I was a big Lennox Lewis fan. I watched every single fight of Lennox Lewis.

And I didn't want them to see. Don't want to see them fight each other. Just in the same way as I didn't want to see Lennox Lewis fighting Gary Mason.

Gary Mason is someone that was, he was kind of following in the footsteps of Frank Bruno. He was popular. He was on TV.

He used to show his fights on a Saturday night on TV. He was a heavyweight. He was undefeated.

He was a knockout artist. And he fought against, he was really quiet, nice, gentle giant, you know, and he fought against Lennox Lewis and Lennox Lewis just absolutely demolished him. Really.

And it was horrible. Didn't like it. So I'll tell you the one heavyweight champion from Britain that no one ever seems to think about or talk about is Herbie Hyde.

Forget Britain, just world, worldwide. One, it's so exciting. Such a hard hitter.

And he won the WBO heavyweight title twice. And then he went down to cruiserweight. Because he was, he was, I don't want to say small, but he was a much smaller heavyweight than most of the other heavyweights.

But as a heavyweight, he only lost to two people. One was Klitschko. And the other one was Riddick Bowe.

Two of the greatest heavyweights of that generation. So there's no, absolutely, you know, nothing to, to be, to feel sad about on that one. In the sense of, there's no shame in losing to one of the, two of the great heavyweights of like the 90s.

Or 2000s. Yeah, Riddick Bowe, I'd say one of the great, one of the best heavyweights of the 90s. Because he kind of quit boxing, didn't he? By about 2000 or late 90s.

Did he? I don't know. Riddick Bowe. Oops.

I think he only, B-O-W-E. Riddick. Go on, give me Riddick.

What? Oh, blimey. Bowen, no. I need to get this Riddick Bowe.

So Riddick Bowe, he's now 56, 58. So he had all together, he had, he had 45 fights. He only lost one.

45 fights. He only lost one fight. And he had one draw.

Well, no, he had one no-contest. So he, out of the 43 fights that he won, he's had one no-contest, one loss. 33 by knockout, seven by decision, and three by disqualification.

And two of those disqualifications were Andrew Kolota. Yes. So he, he basically, he lost in the Olympics against, what's his name? Lennox Lewis.

So he got the silver medal instead of the gold medal, I think, against in the final. I'll just check that. He definitely fought Lennox Lewis and lost in the Olympics, but I think he got the silver, silver sole 1988 Olympic medal.

So if we go back down, he turned professional in 1989. He fought Lionel Butler. And Lionel Butler was a name, used to be a name.

So he didn't go straight into fighting nobody. He fought Lionel Butler. Let me tell you, I know that name.

He, he fought some good people. Oh, okay. He did.

I'm pretty sure he won. He won the vacant IBO heavyweight title. So I think what it was, he, he didn't have a good start in boxing.

He lost his first two fights. In fact, one, two, three, four, five. He only won one out of five fights for the first five fights.

So he clearly wasn't really taking it very seriously to start with. So out of 17 fights, the first 17 fights that Lionel Butler had, he lost 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 out of 17 fights. And there was a draw as well.

And you'd think, if you see that record, you think, if you say, what's the rest of his record going to be like? You'd say, it's going to be rubbish. Why is he still doing it? 17 fights. Anthony Joshua was fighting for the world title at number 16.

And this bloke, he's only won like three fights. That's where it goes weird. Cause in his 18th fight, win 90, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 30.

So he had 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 wins on a trot. 15 wins. And out of those, he fought, who did he fight? He fought, he beat Tony Tubbs, former world champion.

And he beats James Buster Douglas. Now James, what's his name? Smith, who was a former world champion as well. And then, oh, what are you doing? No contest in the next one.

Then he beat James Flowers. And then he fought Lennox Lewis for the WBC heavyweight title eliminator in 1995. Isn't that inspirational? So in his 35th fight, okay, he lost, but it's still his 35th fight.

And he lost one, two, then he won one, then he lost two, then he won two, then lost one, won one, lost one, won one, drew, then lost three in a row, won and lost. And then he won every fight after that. That's amazing, really.

I mean, how did he ever get any money? How did he get people to, I mean, to sponsor him? Do you know what I mean? After 17 fights of kind of nothing, that he managed to get sponsorship and to still get paid to the point where he fought for, you know, an eliminator for a world title. Good for him. That's inspirational.

Anyway, what else to write? Riddick Bowe. So Riddick Bowe, every single fight, he won, if it wasn't disqualification, apart from one loss to Evander Holyfield. And he fought Evander Holyfield three times.

One went the distance or two went the distance. So he fought Evander Holyfield when Evander Holyfield, because Evander Holyfield won the world titles against Buster Douglas, after Buster Douglas beat Mike Tyson. So Evander Holyfield went in there, knocked him out, had all the belts.

And then Evander Holyfield fought, what's his name? Yeah, Riddick Bowe on, it wouldn't be 92, would it? 92? Oh, maybe it was. Blimey. So the first time they fought was 92.

I guess it makes sense. 1992. So he fought and he won.

He won the WBA, WBC and IBF heavyweight titles against Evander Holyfield. I remember him fighting Michael Dokes because I watched that on TV. He fought Jesse Ferguson, knocked him out.

Then he fought Evander Holyfield the second time. But this time he lost on points. And then he fought a few people.

He fought Larry Donald. And then he fought Herbie Hyde in 1995 to win the WBO heavyweight title. And he retained that.

And then he fought Andrew Golota twice after, actually he fought Evander Holyfield but it was a non-world title fight. But he knocked out Evander Holyfield in 95 November. And I don't know why he didn't, he must have given the belt up for the WBO heavyweight.

Hmm. So he fought Andrew Golota 96 twice, July and December. Both times Andrew Golota was winning the fight.

Like winning, decisively winning. And both times he kept throwing low punches and ended up getting disqualified twice. Caused a riot in the ring.

Apparently Riddick Bowe's mum is still looking for him. Honestly, they weren't happy. So he won those two fights but in reality if Andrew Golota had kept his hands up the whole time Riddick Bowe would have lost.

I say we don't know dear but generally based on how it's going it would have lost. But then it was weird because Riddick Bowe then just, he took off, I think he joined the Royal Marines. And then he came back 2004.

He had a fight in 2005 and a fight in 2008 winning all of them. So just one loss on his record. But he's a two-time world champion.

But after Andrew Golota, I don't know any of the three people he fought. I've not heard of them before. And because Andrew Golota he never won a world title.

I don't think. He won a bronze in 1988 Olympics. I mean he was doing really well for the first Andrew Golota.

For the first 28 fights he had he won all of them. And then he fought Riddick Bowe twice. Riddick Bowe got disqualification.

And that wasn't even for a world title. Really? How weird. Then he fought Lennox Lewis for a world title.

And Lennox Lewis knocked him out in one round. Which kind of came together the whole thing. I guess that's why I was talking about them because seeing Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury fight a few years back would have been brilliant.

But also seeing Lennox Lewis fighting Riddick Bowe would have been outstanding. Wonderful. I'd have loved that.

Obviously it's not going to happen now but it would have been great. Because he was really. Other than Evander Holyfield they were the three.

They were the three top heavyweights in the world. Evander Holyfield, Riddick Bowe and Lennox Lewis. In that period when Mike Tyson wasn't around for a while.

It's a shame. It would have been good to have seen that. We got some good boxing on on Saturday.

Nick Ball had some really good boxing on last weekend as well. It was great. Great boxing.

And the good thing about it on Saturday. Because I won't be doing anything but watching boxing on Saturday. I'd be able to watch the the Friday night earlier like in America.

So the early hours Saturday morning in America. That fight or that whole card. And then I've got the evening with Nick Ball and defending his world title.

So yeah Saturday. Will it be pizza night? It might be pizza afternoon. Maybe I won't.

I might not wait until the evening. Just have it in the afternoon instead. Oh yeah.

We'll see. I'm getting excited about what I'm going to eat on Saturday. That's weird.

Who we got here? Who am I looking at now? Andrew Gulotta. Okay. There was one fight.

He fought Mike Tyson. What? Ah. Right.

Mike Tyson knocked Andrew Gulotta out. No he didn't. He Mike Tyson.

Andrew Gulotta refused to come out for the fourth round. And his corner or manager was cornerman. Was like basically trying to force him to fight.

And Andrew Gulotta said no. I don't want to. Can't make me.

And so the win went to Mike Tyson. But then later ruled no contest after Mike Tyson and failed a urine sample. I'm guessing.

He also fought John Ruiz for the WBA and WBO heavyweight for WBA heavyweight title. And he fought Lamon Brewster for the WBA WBO heavyweight title. Oh.

He was so close really. You think about it. He fought for.

That's kind of weird isn't it? So Andrew Gulotta considering he never won a world title. He fought some really good fighters. And he fought for the world title one two three four.

And three of those times was in a row. Literally twice in 2004 once in 2005. For three different versions of the heavyweight title.

The IBF WBA and WBO. And he fought for the WBC against Lennox Lewis. It's.

Yeah. Wow. He did a draw with Chris Bird.

So yeah. I think he had it in him to be the world title to be a champion. But just.

I guess it just didn't happen. It didn't you know. The stars didn't align.

Maybe. But on that note. I'm going to go and have some food.
