Hello and welcome to Let Me Bore You To Sleep. Hello everybody, how are you all doing? So today is the Tuesday, yes Tuesday, Tuesday the 24th of March 2026. Yeah.

So my name's Jason Newland, my podcast website is jasonnewland.com where all the latest recordings are uploaded so you can stream them there. I also have an online store called jasonnewland.store where you can download all my recordings completely free. I'm currently in the process, in the process of I don't know how to explain it, it is, it's such a big task that I've set myself.

So if you go on to the, let's have a look, I'm going to go on there, oh yeah also to let you know you've got, you can listen to all my recordings on all the podcasts, on the main podcast apps such as Spotify, Apple Podcasts etc. If you go to my website jasonnewland.com that will give you a link to those podcasts. Also, also, I have a YouTube channel where all six versions of my recordings get uploaded automatically as well.

So that is a, yeah, because I do six versions, I've got three with music, three without music. So short with music, short without music, that's the normal length of the recording. Now even though it says short it might not be short, it might be like two hours long.

Then you've got the long version with and without music which is about five hours and then the overnight one which is between eight and ten hours with and without music. And also uploads to TikTok as well. I don't really go live on TikTok anymore because I didn't find that it was useful for my mental health to be honest.

It's a very weird place. And I did a few live recordings while I was, while I was actually making the podcast. I'd go live and even then yeah it was, didn't really work for me to be honest because I was getting a lot of people asking stuff.

Asking me some really weird questions and I didn't really get why they were doing it. So some of the things were just awful. Saying that I might actually go live now but not on video.

I might just do a live, go live, voice, voice, go live. So yeah, so people will be able to hear me but I won't be responding really generally. And I won't be looking at my funny face which is, it's a distraction to be honest.

Distraction, very very very distractible distraction. So I, what is it, so I'm going to look at my website. This is the jasonnewland.store, jasonnewland.store and when you go there there's, it's very quite basic really.

It's just got my name at the top, then home and a few bits in the menu at the top. Then it's got 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 podcasts. There will be more added but at the moment they're the main ones.

So there's the Let Me Bore You To Sleep, there's a deep sleep whisper, let me bore your pain away, sleepy boring objects, relaxation for stress and panic attacks, bedtime story times, relax your sleep, hypnosis daily, stress and pain relief, chronic pain, hypnosis and stop smoking. At the main one there, I'm going to be moving stuff around but the main one is probably the Let Me Bore You To Sleep podcast.

And on there you've got, and it's the same with all of them, six versions.

Short voice only, short music, long voice only, long music, overnight voice only, overnight music. And you know, so look, there's at the moment, the Let Me Bore You To Sleep. All of the recordings are on there under the short voice only.

So all of them, now there's 1,566 out of 1,579. So I lost a few over the years but it's all up to date. But I've also uploaded, I think at least six of the, no wait a minute, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. So there's 12 of the last Let Me Bore You To Sleep on all the other ones.

So the long ones, the overnight ones, etc. And they will be extended. However, I think for the first thousand Let Me Bore You To Sleep, they were all just one recording.

I didn't do any extra ones. And then I started doing with music and then five hours, 10 hours with music and then I started doing without music as well. It says, you know, that will all be updated eventually.

It's just going to take a while. But every time I do a new record and it's now added, all six versions are added to the jasonnuland.store. So you can stream them, of course, wherever you want to stream them. But if you want to actually download them, you can download them as well.

And you can keep them for prosperity. You could just, I don't know why you'd want to, but you could if you wanted to. In the future, I might make them available to as CDs, but that's nowhere, nowhere soon.

Although I've been asked for years, but if I could produce my recordings of CDs, because some people prefer just to use a CD player than having to use their phone or to use their tablet or whatever. And so the dog over the fence is barking. It's quite weird, the dog hasn't been barking so much for the last three weeks.

But the owner of the dog has been shouting for the last three weeks. And now she's just stopped shouting in the dark dogs now barking. But it's fine.

I mean, the thing is, if I was a dog, I'd be barking as well, because so many cats around there. It's got to be just frustrating seeing literally the dogs outnumbered by cats by about four to one in this tiny little area that I'm living. I mean, just in this one building alone, there's five cats.

And build across next to us, there's 12345, at least five cats as well. So this is one building 10 cats, two buildings joined together. So it's 12 between 12 flats, there are 10 cats, which is quite a lot.

And that's just this side, never mind the other side. So in fact, the dog that barks has actually got a cat living in the house with him. So I guess he's okay with cats.

It's just some of those cats have got an attitude. They're very teasy, very tempting, very sensual. Very, they will just they they wind me up sometimes.

I mean, it's there's a cat with a little bell on its collar to prevent him from getting to the birds, which I am very much in agreement with, because I don't like seeing cats get birds. But unfortunately, that bell, like that, it's not a very good impression of the bell, but it really bugs Vinnie and gets him barking. And I've looked at them sometimes just in the garden staring at me.

I'm going to see if I can close that window and pull the curtains over and maybe drown out a bit more of that noise. Okay, so we can do hopefully that'll do the trick just to drown out a little bit more of the old background pleasure. So I really should before going any further.

I should say a big thank you for my PayPal gifts. So yesterday, yesterday, let me have a look. I realized that I didn't have enough money.

Like my bank. For the year, basically just my money ruined out, which happens occasionally. And I was really thinking at all.

Because I don't have anyone to ask to borrow money from. There's only one person I've really been able to borrow money from since I've lived here. And I can't ask, I always pay it back, you know, but I guarantee I always pay it back within like, if I sell payback tomorrow, whatever I do.

But she's not going through financially a good time. So I can't do that anymore. And there's only there's never a lot of money.

It's just a few quid here and there, just to buy foods and that. And I was looking at my bank and I thought, I got 15 pound. I got 15 pounds.

It's like, and I start thinking, oh. And what it is, I've got so much going out my account. Because nearly everything is direct debit with me.

I pay about 200 pound a month. For I don't know how I work out how much I pay. To make it for this service, you know, to put this stuff out.

I'll work that out in a minute. But so I posted a message and I did this at the end of October. So I don't post these messages very often because I don't like to.

I don't want people to think that I'm a beggar. But excuse me. I don't like to ask for help.

You know, when people ask for something, it's just way too much information. I had that in the town once. And you know, they dodge you when I do that.

This bloke stopped me in town. He said, oh, my uncle is in hospital in another town and I need to get to him. And I need to pay for a taxi to get there.

It's 50 miles away. And he brought me up. My uncle did because he was the best man in the world.

Unfortunately, my dad fell down a well and my uncle has done everything for me. Now he's in hospital because he broke all four of his legs and I need to go and get to see him. But he's in another town.

He's 70 miles away. Can you help me? I said, I haven't got a car. He said, I need money for the taxi.

It's 90, 95 miles away. I need to get a taxi because there's no... I said, I can only get a train. No, the trains have stopped working.

I said, no, they're not. I can see the trains going now. We're near the train station.

I've just literally got off a train. He said, no, they stopped. Just after you left the train station, there was an announcement saying that all the trains have stopped, but some will keep going, but none of the ones will be going any further than 45 miles away.

And I've got to go 120 miles away. That's where my granddad's in hospital. I thought you said it was your uncle.

Yeah, they're both in hospital. My granddad, he also fell down a well, but he managed to... He had a soft landing because my dad was already down there. But then, yeah, they're both in the hospital and I need to get to them.

It's 300 miles away. I've got to get there to see all three of them. All three of them? Yeah, my auntie's there as well.

Yeah. So can you lend me some money? That's weird. Lend me some money.

I'm not going to see him again. Let me... Well, how much do you need? Oh, 20 pounds. 20 pounds.

That sounds like just enough money to buy a certain illegal substance off the street. How do you know that then, Jason? I'm just guessing. But it's not enough to get a taxi very far at all.

It would get you to the local... Yeah, it would get you to the hospital here in this town, but definitely wouldn't get to the hospital in the next town. That's going to cost you about 80 quid, maybe 90. So 20 pounds is not going to do it.

And he said, have you got the money or not? I said, no, sorry. I didn't have any money. So I said, sorry about that.

That's one of the benefits of when you get people that are just... I'm guessing he wasn't being completely truthful. That's what I'm saying here. And I don't have cash.

Generally, I mean, I did draw out cash the other day. To give my neighbours, what's his name, petrol money. And yeah, so yeah, but I like helping people out.

So that's all right. He's like 17. He's waiting to go into the army.

He's got nothing. He's got no, you know, he hasn't got a job. Well, he's got a little job, part time.

No, he's basically just his whole life is riding around on his moped. That's the only real enjoyment he gets, I guess, apart from his girlfriend being with her. So I'd be ashamed to deny him just being able to get to places.

Because living here where I live, it's very, very out of the way. And after a certain time at night, there's no buses. I think about eight o'clock, you have to, it's a long walk after about eight o'clock at night.

Which isn't ideal, you know, really. So, and it's a really, really like a motorway kind of road. So that it's still quite busy, because the main road near where I live, leads to a motorway, two ends of the same motorway, if that makes sense.

So depending on which way you go in. And the fact that it leads, people get off one part of the motorway and use that as a shortcut, thinking it's a shortcut. Especially if there's a traffic jam, or there's some kind of blockage, you know, further up, so they'll go down the main my mode.

I don't own it, but you know, I have shares. This is a very busy, busy road, and the pavement is about three inches wide. So it's not ideal.

What's that got to do with PayPal gifts? All right, blimey. So yeah, so I asked, that's what I posted. And I did, I got PayPal gifts from, and I did post a thank you, but I'm going to say it again now verbally.

I possibly should have said it right at the beginning. But I got carried away talking, which sometimes happens. So I'd like to say thank you to Cara, Sonja.

Now, I don't know if it's Sonja, or Sonja, because it's spelled S-O-N-J-A. So Sonja, I'm going to say, Sonja, Nathaniel. I'm guessing, I'm guessing your friends call you Nat, or Nathan.

So anyway, thank you, all five of you. You're very kind. And I will individually thank you.

But to be honest, yesterday, I posted that. And then the evening came, and I didn't feel very well. And I had a very early night.

So I was in bed by about eight o'clock. And I couldn't sleep. So I ended up getting up about two.

And sitting on a chair, listening to music. It was kind of weird, bearing in mind what I do, you know, making sleep recordings. And I couldn't sleep myself.

And it's then that I thought, I wish I'd made a more recent recording. Because the last one I did was, the last recording I did was on 22nd of March. So that was Sunday.

I didn't do one yesterday, because I didn't feel very well, to be honest. I'm feeling a bit better today. So I had an early night.

And I was in bed most of the day. I spent a fair bit of time in bed today. Vinnie's at his mummy's at the moment.

So he's spending a bit of time there. And so, no, I don't need him to be elsewhere. I'm happy for him to be here, plodding around when I'm doing a recording.

Unless it's a hypnosis recording, then he'll need to be in the bedroom. But I haven't made a hypnosis recording for a little while now. Why is that? Anyone? Does anyone know? I don't know.

Oh, yeah, I do. All the barking and shouting in the garden. That's why.

It's really difficult to kind of plan to do a recording. You know, when someone's, yeah, yeah, yeah, you know what I mean? So the last time I did a hypnosis recording was... Blimey, I said it a while ago. The dog's barking, but I think the curtains and the door, the window being closed is probably a good idea.

But the curtains being drawn as well. They are soundproofing curtains. So they should block most of it out.

I hope. Oh, the woman, the woman over there. She was the other morning.

It was about ten to eight. She was shouting, get out of bed, everyone. Lazy scumbags.

You should have jobs, you rats. Seriously, you wouldn't... If I taped it and played it, you wouldn't believe it. What I've been hearing is amazing.

I mean, she's someone reported her for the dog. I don't know who it was. But it's really had three weeks of real kind of venom.

And I think someone told her to shut up yesterday morning because she was arguing with someone, shouting at someone like having a conversation. But I missed the first part because I was in the toilet. The last time I did a hypnosis recording was the 1st of March.

So it's been 23 days. So that's... It's weird because I had a bit of momentum there, didn't I? Oh, yeah. And then all my podcasts went weird again, and I had to sort that all out.

So that took a couple of weeks. OK. So I'm just going to work out what I pay out for just so we get an idea.

Have I got a piece of paper? I've got an idea. If I write down... Have I got a calculator? A calculator? And I don't know. So the first thing I've got is settings, settings.

So this is for the Shopify store. So the plan I've got is... 39 a month. So... 39 a month.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. 39 a month.

I used to have a pen. I really did. But now I don't.

I don't know what happened to it. So if I open a page... What page? Is there like a document page I can open? New, new. No, there's nothing.

It's ridiculous. My laptop has very little. What I could do though, what I could do is have a page, open a new page on my Shopify pages.

Start a new page. With costs, running costs, add a page. In fact, I've probably already done one in the past.

I thought I might. Blimey. Right, it's changed from then.

So SoundCloud podcasts, £20 a month. Website costs. So the... How much is... That podcast, jasonnewland.com. And I've also, oh yeah, what I didn't realize coming out was the, because I have to pay hosting for the jasonnewland.com, which is £45 a year.

And that came out, I was like, oh, I forgot about that. Damn it. So I should put that in there as well, shouldn't I? So... And domain, domain equals £45 and then there's another £40, it's about £80 a year.

Because the.store is going to also charge as well. That'll be coming up soon. So I've had that for a while.

So that's £45, about £80 a year. Which isn't too bad, I guess. Right, I'm not going to include electricity, although I probably do use quite a bit, but let's forget that.

It's not business, is it? If it was a business, I could probably use part of my rent, like what I used to, living room as an office. I use my mobile phone for my business calls, which I don't have any. iCloud storage, £8.99. Yeah, I wouldn't need that if it wasn't for all the podcasts I've got.

And ChatGPT, £20 a month. Yep. I use that for my images and to help out with things like when I do trivia Tuesdays or just when I need help with the technical side of stuff.

Canva is £12.99 a month. And that helps with the images as well. I don't know if it's, I think it might have gone up to £13.99 a month, actually.

I'm not sure. Where is it? Let's have a look. Settings, Plans and Pricing.

Okay. I wonder how long I've had it for. I do sometimes wonder.

So I pay, I don't pay yearly, blindly, no way in the world. Would I pay yearly? Plans and Prices, Settings. Why is it not giving me my details? Settings, Billing.

Okay, Billing. You know what I've noticed? A lot of these websites, online stuff, they hide. They hide the cancellation page or the cancellation button or things that you might need to get out of a contract or to stop using the service and make it so difficult sometimes.

So it's £13 a month it costs for Canva. So still okay, it went up by a penny. Unless I just got it wrong before.

£13, £13 a month. Broadband Internet, 20 quid. 20, no, it's 25.

It's £25 a month for the broadband. I do also use the phone as well, broadband. But I'll just leave that because I've got the phone anyway and I'd have the phone regardless.

Spreaker podcast is, let's have a look at Spreaker. So that's where all my main podcasts are held. That's where they're held, held, held, held, held.

Plans and Billing. Right, £50 a month, so that's £50 a month there. So if I just add that to it.

£50 a month. Website costs. I thought I'd already done that, no, I know.

So if I put website costs, you've got I don't know how much I'm paying for the one of them. OK, where is it? Where is it? It's hiding from me. OK, there we go.

I probably could just look at my actual bank account to see what I'm paying. But a little bit, I know I've not really got a lot of people listening, but I don't want to let the people listening on TikTok down because they're probably so excited about what's going to be what I'm going to say next. Yeah, Billing.

OK, so this is the Billing pro monthly. Yeah, pro monthly. It's not saying the amount, though, is it? See invoices.

OK, see invoices. Something I've noticed on TikTok as a viewer. So a lot of people repeating themselves.

And also on YouTube. Especially when people get a little bit vexed. The repetition is almost.

It is kind of weird. Is it the brain stopped functioning or something? But that whole repetition, like keep repeating the same sentence over and over and over and over 29. OK, so.

Just look at my monthly. Just, you know, basically, it's the bills. It's just electric gas and all that stuff, which is like everyone has, don't they? Why is it not opening up? Come on.

It's more entertainment, I suppose. But. I do like listening to YouTube.

I listen to my videos on YouTube. But it's no good. And hopefully there shouldn't be any adverts.

On my YouTube videos. But. Never know of YouTube.

They have chucked someone in the past. The little buggers. So website 68.

From the looks of it, that is. Everything. I think it is everything.

Which is good because I don't want it to be anymore. So I just need to add it up now. So.

Let's forget them the yearly because that's not really. I mean, it does count, but. 80, 90.

90 pound over the year was, I suppose, I could work that out. So what is it? So 80. Plus.

80 divided by 12. So £6.66. £6.66 a month. The thing is, it does all.

I guess it does all add up, doesn't it? I remember at once I worked in a shop and it was a gift shop. And it was just loads of change. Loads of change, and I thought.

And my job was part of my job was to cash up at the end of the day, and I thought. It's just a bunch of change. It's not going to be a lot of money here.

But there was hundreds of pounds. Just in change. I know I keep saying change like that.

It seems to. It's enjoyable if it was. It was nice change.

Maybe because I'm subconsciously trying to tell myself you need to change man got got change. Or at least have a bath. So £6.66 a month, right? So let's go back to that.

So I've got SoundCloud podcast £20. So I've got. Two podcasts, one for the Let Me Bore You To Sleep and one for the.

Sleep hypnosis. Whatever it's called. Kind of remember my own podcasts.

It's my most popular one as well. Hypnosis for sleeping deeply. So there's those two.

That's the only two I've got on for on. SoundCloud and I did try and get rid of them, but. Some people like to listen to SoundCloud.

Website costs 68. So if I add 68 68. This is monthly.

Plus 50. For this breaker, so that's where all my podcasts live. That's the home.

And then broadband 34. Then Canva 13. Then chat GPT 20.

Then £6.66. So £211.66 a month. It cost me to run this service. It's weird, isn't it? The thing is, because it's all little amounts, I don't really.

Notice it, but not notice it by just £20 goes out there. £13 goes out there. £20 goes out there.

£8.99 you know a few days later or a couple of weeks later. £50 here and it's like it just bits and bobs. If it all went out at the same time, I really would probably be more aware of how much it was.

I estimate about 200 because it's it's always roughly been. I mean there's been. Um stuff in the past that I've.

Paid off, you know, like equipment and things like that. Yeah. That's like 20 years.

Also. I think I might have. I must have tried every single podcast host.

Every single. Um. App and.

You you name it. I've tried. There's a lot of different website builders.

AI things and just yeah. So much over the years. At the moment, I would say.

Things are kind of. Fairly easy that it kind of it's quite a simple process now. I'm Vinnie's here by the way.

I went had to go and get him. There was a little gap in between me talking and then me talking again. But I did.

I didn't make it obvious. Just in case you're wondering, because he wasn't here. When I was talking to you at the beginning.

But I had a phone call and had to sort some stuff out. Oh dear. So.

Yeah, I mean looking at that through that stuff that I wrote down. Where is it? Go back. Just thinking technically.

What I could get rid of if I if I got rid of anything. I mean, I could take broadband off of that, even though I still I've got broadband, but. You know, I could say, well, I'd have broadband anyway, but.

The thing is. I wouldn't need broadband. If I wasn't using the Internet.

As much like downloading and uploading stuff. Because I've got data on my phone. I could just as easily watch TV and use the data for normal kind of Internet stuff from my phone.

So, you know, I did do that for a few months. A while back and. It was fine for TV.

It was fine for, you know, streaming, you know, YouTube and. Netflix or whatever. Basic stuff.

But it wasn't it wasn't really I couldn't upload stuff. Let's say upload a new podcast and watch Netflix at the same time. So it did it limited me to what I could do, because I could only kind of only really do one thing at a time.

And it would use all the data. From the phone, not all of that, and it's unlimited, but it would use all the power, you know. And also the phone would get very hot.

That's something else I've noticed. I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but sharing a screen from a phone to the TV. It makes the phone really warm.

And the battery goes down super quick as well, but you leave the phone plugged in, but the phone gets so hot, even if it's not plugged in. But when it's plugged in, you could fry an egg on it. You couldn't.

I don't know why I said that. Why would you want to anyway? This is. Yeah.

So I don't share the screen very often. Occasionally, when the internet, my normal broadband is not working properly. I kind of have no choice, but I can tap in.

There's two ways I can watch TV. Or watch YouTube, for example, or watch Netflix on TV. I can connect my internet to the TV.

So instead of using the broadband, it uses my phone. It's just the broadband's down, or it's just not working very well. So I can do that, or I can just, or I can watch, and then I can watch the stuff that's on the TV using the apps.

Or I can use my phone and click on the screen and just share the screen to TV. It's not quite the same though. Sometimes a bit of a lag.

Sometimes it. Sometimes it just doesn't work very well. Sometimes it works really well.

Sometimes I can't stop smiling because it works so well. I get super excited. Yes.

Yeah. I've didn't. Oh, excuse me.

I didn't really feel very well the last few days, but I'm feeling a little bit better now. It's just. It might be, and this is, it might sound weird.

I shaved my head two days ago. And I've already had, I've had a bit of a chest infection the last couple of weeks anyway. And I've seen a lot of people coughing and spluttering around the place at the moment, but.

But I. When I, when I shave my head off. Quite often I end up with a. Well, sometimes not often, but sometimes I end up with a bit of a cold. Or just a day of feeling a bit.

Because I guess. Because I've got so much hair on my head normally. I mean, it's thick and curly and very, very long.

And weighs as much as a small octopus. It's very, it looks like that as well. It's very, okay, there's not a lot of hair on my head, but.

It seems to keep my head. Warm, keeps the heat in. And when I shave my head, the heat, I guess it's just.

Leaving my scalp. Or my brain. And I think the most it happens, I think is probably when I'm asleep.

Because. At last week, it was really nice, really nice weather. Even taking him out for a wee wee, like at 11.

In the evening. It didn't even need a coat on a jacket or nothing. The last couple of days, the temperatures dropped.

I mean, it's pretty windy today. But last night, because I couldn't sleep. I don't know what was going on, which is unusual for me.

And not that I didn't know what was going on. I'm used to not knowing what's going on, but not. It wasn't that I couldn't sleep because.

It doesn't make a lot of difference to me. You know, it's not like, well, unless I've got to be somewhere or go somewhere. And I need to have my.

My wits, my wits about me. My faculties in working order. Then it doesn't really matter if I don't, you know.

I can, I can have a nap whenever, really. And my medication keeps me. Tired a lot.

Has done for years, but. I didn't want to go back to bed. I got up a couple of times for wee wees.

And I just thought, well. I clearly went to bed way too early. So I went to bed at eight and I woke up and it was like 10, then it was half 11 and I was like.

I shouldn't wake up twice before midnight. I shouldn't wake up twice and it's still the same day. Something wrong here.

And the third time I woke up. I just got up. I mean, to be fair, there might have been activity outside.

Because it was early. So there might be people coming and going. Not, you know, opening the doors.

Vinnie might, I think he would did bark a little bit at one point. But it was like miniature barking like. Yeah, like that, rather than actual full on barking.

Because when he's full on barks, it is extreme. It's very, very, very, very, very loud. Like super loud and high pitched.

I don't know how he gets. I don't know why he gets so excited. Because it's not, he doesn't bark because he's angry.

He's barking because he's excited. Because he hears a neighbor going into their door, their front door. And it's a different kind of bark.

It's like super happy, super like, yay, my friend's back. He's always listening. It seems to always be his ears.

Even when he's asleep, his ears are pricked up, like moving around like a radar. Searching for incoming. Well, instead of missiles, sounds, I suppose, incoming sounds.

Beep. Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep. That's my.

Is that what radar sound like? Or is that sonar? Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep. That might be sonar. I don't know.

Always on the listen. But when he's in bed. After a certain stage of like sleeping, he's gone.

Completely gone you know he's when he really relaxes he I think I would say he only really relaxes properly relaxes when he's in bed it was sleep in the living room it was sleep next to me while I was sitting down he'll sleep at my underneath the desk at my feet you know laying there when I'm doing stuff making a recording or working on the website but I think he's real real time is when he's in bed he loves that bed honestly he just and he's he likes to spread out

he's not like a curly up dog I mean he does it sometimes you know dogs like curl up like in a dog basket kind of a dog bed he doesn't really do that so much he's very much about just stretching right out and taking up as much room as he can which includes part of my side of the bed now I've talked to him about it I explained to him when he first moved in this is my side I'm near the wall I said this is my side that's your side

that's your pillow he's got his own pillow I've got my pillow he's got his side of the bed he can get underneath the blankets it's a quilt but he can get underneath the quilt or he can stay on top of the quilt it's up to him you know it's easy enough to get under if he wants to sometimes he just likes to like to spread out sometimes depending on how I'm lying especially in the summer so if I've got my legs out of the duvet he will come and lie on

my legs or start licking my feet which I quite like or he'll lie down on the wall which I know why he does that because the wall is cold it's quite nice actually the wall even though it's not an outside wall it's it leads to the outside hallway like the communal hallway so there's no heat or anything so it's semi like being outside you know you know when you come into a block of flats from being outside and it's cold outside you walk in and it feels warmer doesn't it because

you're not out in the cold it's not windy and stuff and then you get into your actual home and it's a lot warmer so when you go out of your home it feels chilly when you get into the hallway almost like it prepares you for when you get outside it's quite a good system isn't it I wonder if that's why they invented homes and so that's what I've got right next to with the wall right next to my bed you know the long wall on the long side you know as

I'm stretched out next to me in the winter it can be a bit chilly to be honest the wall but in the summer it can also be quite cool which is kind of nice sometimes so I might do is stretch my legs out and just let them gently caress the wall like my toes although I do have to be careful because I did kick the wall a few years back and I broke my toe well broke my foot I was just I was dreaming dreaming that I was dreaming that I

was being chased by something and I realized as I was running away that actually if I turned down if I turned around quickly and kicked as they were coming I think it was like I don't know what it was a gargoyle or something and as they were as they was a Smurf a Womble as they were running towards me and I turn around and I kick the pressure of them running towards me and me kicking at the same time would just be a really good kick so I did it and

it was a really good kick to be honest I did leave a dent in the wall there was a lost a nail let's not get into graphics okay it's alright I found it it was in me underpant drawer so so I was out of action it wasn't even I don't think I even bothered going to the hospital because it's broken is this it and they can't do nothing anyway what's the point you know I think sometimes we've joined slightly with ankles legs wrists stuff like that they can do a bit

more but just with a broken foot this is it's good you should get it checked out but I just couldn't be bothered because how am I gonna get there I can't walk and I ain't an ambulance situation so I just like us let it heal just another it's just another break you know and oh my my foot it was multicolored honestly it was black it was green it was red it was purple it was yellow it was all the colors it was like a rainbow a rainbow foot and I did

check obviously either side to see if there's any buckets of gold but there wasn't rainbow gold at the end of the rainbow you know I don't know if it's a poem but you know this like if you go to the end of the rainbow there might be a bucket of gold something like that I can see a rainbow see a rainbow as I have a poo red and yellow and green and blue yellow and green and blue I mean how many colors are there really they're getting all the made-up colors

and you could argue all colors are made up it's like you know that sounds like a made-up word well all my all words have been made up haven't they all colors have been made up all names for items has been made up everything's been made up at one point or another so you could get pedantic like that but the base colors what is it blue green yellow black white I'm not even sure if orange is a color on its own is that a mixture cuz I know you I remember being

a school in art and I think the very basics of art if I remember correctly was learning how to mix different colors to make a new color but it wasn't really a new color it's one that we already knew about so you could get purple by mixing is it blue and yellow that give you purple or black and white would give you gray or orange and green give you a mess I'm just trying to think and wait who came up with the idea of lots of different types of blue blues

blue to be fair I will go along with this light blue and dark blue I accept that because you know blue light blue and dark blue is very different isn't it it's blue but it's different from dark blue you know and light yellow and dark yellow it gave very different colors just say dark yellow and light yellow I mean blue green green you can get a lighter yellow compared to a darker yellow it's a little bit more vague I would say but black is black isn't it I don't think really

can you get different shades of black in crayons I'm thinking of crayons by the way I'm not not painting necessarily but paints when it comes to mixing it's much easier to mix paints than it is crayons because with crayons you've got to melt them down or chew them and just like mix them together in your mouth and then nah it doesn't work plus it's probably a bit yeah don't do that don't do that with paints either but paints are easier isn't it to sort of even pencils you can't really I

suppose you can mix if you know how to I don't know how to pastels you can mix can't you I used to have some pastels there's been times in my life where I've tried to get involved in art and it just hasn't worked I think if I was honest I don't you know don't like being honest as we all know I probably would have been an artist if I could really choose something that I'm not and I never will be I think an artist would be it there's a few things

I'm gonna quite I mean I could say that I'd like to be a musician but I have you know I have been involved in music when I was younger I played the violin when I was like 9 10 or 10 yeah 9 10 years old I played the bugle played the drums played the glocking spill when I was about 12 13 12 11 12 so and I had a guitar but a few guitars over the years so if I'd have actually had I clearly didn't have the motivation to do it

otherwise I had done it because that's the one thing I've learned about myself if I really want to do something if I'm really motivated then I never quit that's why I realized when I was doing the psychology course at the Open University course I didn't want it enough to keep going even though there was I was trying to deal with bereavement and other things you know the only thing that I've been able to keep going regardless of what's happening in my life is this this is the only thing in my

entire life that I've been able to be motion motivated enough to keep doing even though you know sometimes I have to have a bit of time off sometimes it might only be a day or two there's been times when it's been weeks not very often but this is the only thing that I've stuck at I mean I did complete my degree so that's that was a major success for me because I wanted to quit that from the first day I started and I managed to finish it complete it and get

my degree so that was you know that was an accomplishment and I really didn't think that I could ever achieve growing up or even going through my 20s or 30s because I was 37 when I started doing the degree so for a long time so what's that 20 years after I left school thinking I was not capable of doing that doing anything academic and I proved that I don't know what I proved I proved to myself that I could I think part of me thought I'd be able to do it

but part part of me didn't and then part of me didn't want to do it anyway you know there was a there was a there was a part of me thinking who am I trying to convince who am I trying to impress here then there was the other part sort of saying well you want to help people you want to be a counsellor this is part of the helping people process and you know the first two years was to get my diploma in person-centered counselling after that I could have continued

as a counsellor didn't need the degree for that I had everything there but the third year was for the degree and I wanted the degree it just it to prove to myself that I could and what I guess also to prove to myself that I could stick at something because at that point when I started the degree I'd only been doing making recordings online for about two years I started this in 2005 so I was 34 no 2006 sorry so yeah just over a year when I first so I didn't

I didn't have what I've got now like looking back thinking well I've stuck at something for 20 years and regardless if it's good or not I've stuck at it and I've got I've got a collection of works I'm being very loose with this this language here but I've got you know an archive of thousands of recordings and I probably didn't really believe that I would have that I'd have that at this point in my life I mean in a way you know one of the regrets is that I didn't start

doing this earlier but then how much earlier could I have started considering the internet in this country didn't really become a thing until the late 90s you know it caught on about 98 99 in this country and it was very very very limited and I'd have really struggled to make audios available it wouldn't been impossible but it wouldn't have been streaming and as I said earlier I've actually I've tried so many different things I mean there was once where I had my own server and I used my computer as a

server and it was kind of like a torrent I guess but not not in a league like doing illegal downloads of movies and stuff like that nothing like that this was just it was a you could you connected my I connected my computer to the website with the links and then if people clicked on the link it downloaded the recording from my website from my computer rather and the computer had to be switched on the whole time and it was connected to the website and this is I'm going back a

long time long long long time and I suppose in a way that was quite advanced not for me but you know I just followed the it's quite easy to set up I think it must have been if I used it and people were coming on and downloading and I was getting hundreds and hundreds a day I think at some point so I think it might have been shared other places as well so maybe it was part of the torrent thing maybe yeah I think it might be and I think I

might have actually been putting my stuff on the torrent so you could download the blockbuster movie or an album but you could also download my recordings as well people probably downloaded not knowing what they were getting and being very disappointed in the process so yeah it's I think so I mean I'm sure I could have found a way around doing it early on not not 90 not in the 90s I didn't even I didn't know more way around anything I mean I started building websites in 2000 that's when I fell

in love with websites so even then and I was learning the code and I devoted a lot a lot of my time to doing this for about a year a year and a half and basically it was very very very basic stuff there was no advance there was nothing advanced I was doing at all not really so to download large audio files would be difficult because even a picture just one simple picture could take like up to a minute if not more to download so for example if you had a

picture of Facebook wouldn't have worked back then because Facebook was full of pictures you know isn't it still is full of pictures of people dinners or holiday snaps and pictures of Vinnie you know people's pets you'd literally for those that don't remember especially where I lived in the we didn't it was dial-up particularly interesting noise and the excitement when it went through and actually connected like wow yes connected and I have to wait for sometimes like minutes for an image to open up and I can't believe my patience at the

time my patience must have been must be so good compared to now so back then if it takes that long for an image what's it going to take for an audio I didn't even think of it however however however however however my cousin and my uncle were they had like a recording studio in in one of the rooms in the house and there was a keyboard two or three keyboards guitars and there was this all this computer equipment and basically microphones and we used to write songs this is like 2000

and 2000 around 2000 time and I remember we'd kind of finished doing everything that I just thought oh I want to just record my voice so I recorded myself talking and I did wasn't long but I did about five minutes of a relaxation session and then I ended it with very silly silly ending and I listened back to it and I thought that was like a little seed I don't mean it was literally oh it sounds like a seed no I mean I think it must have just been planted in

my brain the idea of doing something like that now had I actually gone down that road which I could have done what did in the end but I could have kind of started that journey then in 2000 I could have definitely have made the recordings and they would have been good quality as well because their system was good so I could have perhaps got a little bit of guidance and got my own equipment that was as good as theirs and learn how to do on the computer and that you know

so spent my time doing that instead of building websites but it would have given me I mean it's a six-year start isn't it starting six years early before podcasts even were created the thing is I when I started doing my recordings I didn't call them podcasts they were standalone recordings for me a podcast was like a series of ongoing stuff you know and I guess the Let Me Boy To Sleeps or those standalone they kind of do continue because through me getting old you know it's 20 years of me aging

or the last eight years because that's how long we're doing these eight years how long are we doing these come on really come on let's have a look Let Me Bore You To Sleep let me bore you let me bore you Let Me Bore You To Sleep just gonna have a look every now and then I like to look and find out what the first one was what day it was because I really do forget I forget yeah I think it is right 27th of March 2018 it's a 24th of

March 2026 so it is three days off eight years and I figured it was that for a second I thought it's not nine years is it but yeah 2018 blimey Wow I mean I remember starting this to me 2018 does not sound like a long time ago because 2020 really isn't a long time ago so you know in my eyes but six years that's what amazes me sometimes because I think back to when I when I moved away from London there was this lady that I was really going really well

with and she was basically let me know she liked me and this was September 2000 no September 2001 yeah and I can't is one of those regrets that I have and I was thinking about I still think about years on I still think about and it dawned on me the other day that's 25 years ago 25 years okay in September but 25 years in a few months it's just gone by it's gone by it's gone bye-bye it's I mean she'll be I don't know how old she was at the time

I think 20 so she'll be so she let's say she's 10 years younger than me so she'd be 45 now she might have loads I don't know she might just she's had a life hasn't she who knows what she's done and the weird thing about it is I think she's probably had a much better life without me being in it and which might sound a bit strange but I think she probably yeah I don't know if I would have improved her existence no I just don't a weird way just I

don't know I just she was I really liked her I remember once she because she was a waitress and we were my cousin came along to the comedy club so we're in the middle on the middle floor it's three floors we're on the middle floor near the toilets but there's also a like a staircase that goes all the way up and he's trying to chat up her he's trying he's really drunk like really drunk and he's trying to chat her up and this is like the after after the the whole

things closed and we're just having just drinks upstairs and she's laughing is he is being funny but at the same time he was like quite a bit yeah no there's not a lot of difference in age to be fair but I don't know yeah to be frank think you know that's not a huge amount of difference in age but they seem to be she seems a lot be a lot more older she's probably out three years old in them two years three years and but he was really given the chat

and then then he just vomited everywhere and it was so funny because it just because he was acting really like not a tough guy but like really sophisticated and saying yeah we should go out sometime all over her shoes and it was so funny and then he fell backwards and he fell he fell down the stairs he nearly fell down the stairs I caught him so I caught his clothes and otherwise he'd have gone down the stairs blimey but he didn't so that's the main thing but he just fell backwards

because he didn't realize there was no door there there was a door it was open and it was a mess I had to clear up I mean my boss came down my friend who was also my boss he he came down and I was helping out and he like he started to get upset because there was all this mess and I said to me and he said all right so you knew I'd clear it up but he was annoyed to start with like why is there all this stuff on the

stairs and and I said no don't worry I'm to blame for this one it's very funny I think he ended up being a policeman not that night but you know later in life good good bloke musical master who just I don't think he was interested in music not enough to to do it full-time because he he was it's really weird he his dad was in a popular band country western or what do they call it say country and Western but his dad was in really popular country western band that toured

for years for decades in this country and so he was brought up a musical child he could play the guitar he could play the piano he could play bass lead guitar he could do all that stuff he just picked it up from his dad and he'd go on go to gigs with his dad and he just basically by the time he was a teenager he could play the instruments easily and then when he was probably he was probably 16 when I started doing recordings with him maybe a little bit younger

because he's my cousin so yeah he was pretty much a genius he could do anything what he could really do which was more than not saying more than his dad could do because dad could do a lot as well but he got more involved in the computer side of things so he was creating tracks on computers like really advanced stuff which I just I still don't really know how to do I mean if I look at some of the audio or video editing software there is today it looks the same

as what he was using back then over 26 27 years ago green looks kind of the same like for the audio little blocks little colored blocks moving around and making it so it all just turns you've got beat here beat there music there voice there vocals tambourines or whatever and he had the mind for it and he used to write songs he wrote we wrote some songs together but he wrote his own songs he was more interested in like dance music and that the music not that not the singing he

didn't care about that he wanted to do the music and he was brilliant at it I don't know why he didn't pursue it maybe he did pursue it because I've not had contact with him really for a long long long time it was so good but better than good you know I mean just really super talented and I suppose a little bit like if you look at Floyd Mayweather I'm not comparing him to Floyd Mayweather different sport but Floyd Mayweather who some would argue is the best boxer pound for pound

has ever been or at least one of them you gotta argue is at least one of them one of the best boxers ever to have done it and he just he didn't he didn't grow up normal he didn't grow up in a normal household his uncle was a two-weight world champion and his dad was I think two or three time world challenger who fought Sugary Leonard and maybe Hearns and you know they they both his bro his uncle and his dad were famous boxers and I think his dad either his

dad or his uncle was called the Mexican killer or the Mexican slayer because they did the impossible they beat the Mexican boxers and because they were a lightweight the Mexican boxers used to rule that division because the thing is what in Mexico and countries like in the area because it's high altitude when they come down to a lower altitude they're almost superhuman because they're using they don't have to use as much of their lung capacity their their muscles their stamina is phenomenal so it's not the only reason one is so good but it's a huge advantage if like Canelo for example when he goes I don't know if he's ever been to England did Canelo ever fight?

I don't think he did but if Canelo fought in England it'd be like he would actually be like so much stronger he'd feel stronger here because the altitudes a lot lower so lower you go the stronger guess he'd feel after being at the high altitudes I think it's the same with if people want to get on to they get really people want to climb in Everest they get really tired really knackered by the time they get to the top so the higher they go up the more exhausted they get up

but when they go down the stronger they get so they might get to the top of Everest and think oh I'm tired let's have a sandwich cup of coffee but then when they get down you know a few hours later 20 minutes later whatever it takes to get down they would do press-ups and jogging on a spot with so much energy because they've been such high altitude they feel superb super physically now I might have made some of that up but it does kind of make sense to me and it's

a bit like Superman and the Red Sun and forgetting you know Superman came from Krypton but it's almost like he came from a high altitude to a lower altitude and therefore he's stronger faster fitter and more awake than someone that was at the lower altitude all the time but then when he goes back to the higher altitude he's more normal but then most of those boxers from Mexico the really big names they're the best of their country as well so not only they brilliant there they become super brilliant when they

move away and go to a smaller altitude a lower one some of this may be true if you shake it all about trim bits of fat off and then trying to think of something that rhymes with about allowed tout make sure you don't shout oh yes so Mayweather Floyd Mayweather jr. now we don't do junior or senior in this country we don't do that that's very much a non-english thing to do I mean my uncle and my granddad had the same name Edward my granddad everyone called him Ted all his

friends and stuff and my Nan but my uncle also Edward everyone called him Eddie no one called him Edward jr. and didn't call my dad my granddad Edward senior we just don't do that here I don't know why I don't know why really but at the same time why would you give your kid the same name as you that doesn't really make sense I think it was traditional because my auntie was the same name as my nan yeah so she was nanny nanny Newland jr.

I don't know what I was talking about I must have been talking about something yes what was it I don't know yeah so he was Mayweather jr. but he was born into a boxing family and when your uncle and your dad are both famous boxers and your uncle was a two-weight world champion and you decide to take up boxing you you kind of got an advantage from the start and yeah doesn't mean you're necessarily gonna be a famous boxer but you kind of it's definitely got to be a help isn't

it if you got the genetics and then his uncle I think and his dad both had great defensive styles and Mayweather jr. had the best defensive style pretty much going yeah I don't know how I ended up talking about boxing it's amazing how I managed to do that although we've got boxing this weekend Moses Atalma he's fighting and I am looking forward to it I am I am I am it's Wednesday tomorrow so we've got Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday four days no I don't wanna I'm not trying to wish the
