Two days ago I was, I turned 56. 56 56 even if you say it fast it still sounds old 56. I can't even say well technically you know I'm only halfway through my life because no one lives to be 118 do they? I'm only, wait a minute 56 112 112 generally you know although I have a theory that if there's money to be made in increasing the average age of the population then AI will be used to facilitate such a thing but only if there's money in it.
You know that's the only way that will happen I think. So yeah today's Friday tomorrow is Boxing Day Moses Atalma against against oh what's his name's got out of my head I do know his name Moses next Friday Philip Hergovich that's it Philip Hergovich at the O2 arena in London and I think the O2 arena isn't that where the isn't that where the Olympic Games was held or am I thinking no the O2 arena that was where the Millennium Millennium the Millennium Dome was and they spent about 700 million pounds building a Millennium Dome and I think because I went there
actually just after it first opened it was on a bank holiday weekend and it was big but it I didn't feel that they used the space adequately but there was a nice show on and there was a McDonald's there it was the very first time I ever ever had a McFlurry I got the tickets from someone who used to come into the comedy club and he worked there or he he'd worked like getting a place set up for the opening so he I got some comp tickets too took a lady
that I just met out of the comedy club her hands were as big as my head anyway that's not important important I remember walking to McDonald's and we're hand in hand and it just gave me a flashback of being seven again and holding my dad's hands just the size and I thought oh I wonder if anyone else is noticing this and it's not that I've got small hands I think I've got average hands I've not got massive hands but they're not tiny hands either so yeah the fight is tomorrow Moses
Atalma and Philip Herkovich are fighting for the IBF the vacant IBF heavyweight world title so I'm looking forward to that I have been for a couple of months actually a couple of months now I don't know how much I told you last time I did a recording about what's going on I'm going to have to have a little look to see what date it was that I did the last recording it was the 25th so it's not that long ago it's only three days ago it feels like ages ages and
ages ago since I last did I Let Me Bore You To Sleep but it's literally just three days crazy isn't it so okay I might repeat myself but that's not the first time is it I might repeat myself but it's not the first time and I will I suppose the main thing that's going on or that's going to be coming up is next week work starts on my kitchen to refurbish my kitchen so I'm having all the kitchen taken out and a new one put in but it's going to take
I don't know a couple of weeks because they the one day the electrician comes in then the carpenter comes in and I don't know so it might take it takes a while so that starts next week the other thing is I got a phone call earlier in this week which I might have mentioned already and I got an appointment with the nurse the diabetic nurse because I am diabetic yes my blood is very sweet and so I'm not quite sure what's gonna happen there because I've been pre-diabetic for about three
years or so maybe four years and I've had two blood tests that have confirmed that I'm now in the diabetic bracket but it's not like high I'm not in a high end you know I've got to try harder that's why I'm not trying hard enough I need to get need to get further in there but get a higher score next time so I'm not sure whether they're gonna it's gonna be I mean it might just be a case of you must change your diet now or maybe they're gonna put me
on medication and if it's medication I hope it's tablets rather than the other thing because I don't I'm not at that level where it's bad enough to be having to take insulin I mean I think the tablets are probably insulin aren't they I don't know so we'll see I'll find out Tuesday yeah and I didn't do myself any favours really because on my birthday on Wednesday I got myself a birthday cake a big well it wasn't that big actually but it's a chocolate cake I didn't have any candles to put
into it so I just ate it it was lovely it was really nice actually I enjoyed it but I'm kind of thinking that I'm gonna have to be so careful it's like almost feel like I'm not diabetic until Tuesday at the moment I'm okay on Tuesday once I get the official like in person I've already seen the test results on my app on the NHS app and I've been told the results on the phone but until I actually am sitting there being told this is it I've already been told it
is but until I'm there then I'm just gonna just pretend I'm not just for a few more days it's only was it it's only three days Saturday Sunday Monday and then I'm wow I don't know what I'm gonna do actually I don't know but yes I'll go to the doctor's on Tuesday other than that I've been in quite a good mood today I don't know why it's probably all the chocolate I'm eating it's giving me a high hmm I don't know so I had my birthday and so I'd like to
say a big thank you to all of the well wishes messages that are posted on Facebook or you know sent on my inbox I even got a card so thank you everyone it's very kind and it feels a bit weird being so ancient but at the same time I'm feeling fairly well you know I'm not I don't necessarily feel old and I don't obviously I don't feel any older than I did the day before but yeah I'll tell you one thing I noticed and I think it's quite a positive thing
is I look forward to getting up in the morning when I go to bed I look forward to getting up the next day to continue what I'm doing I never had that during my working life and possibly the only time I'd have that kind of situation apart from when I was a kid you know Christmas morning so I go to bed Christmas Eve I was well from the age of seven all the way up to 14 I suppose so yeah every Christmas was exciting Christmas Eve going to bed getting up the next day because Christmas
day was brilliant we had great Christmas days then onwards no you know I've never never kind of gone to bed on Christmas Eve excited for Christmas day since I was 14.
How many years is that 15, 16, 17, 18, no no okay I'll do it in 10s it's terrible isn't it I'm so old I have to actually count in 10s in decades 24, 34, 44, 54 so 42 years it's not that Christmases haven't been okay I've had some nice Christmases you know with family and stuff but maybe it's just being an adult I think I reckon if I'd have gone down the route of having kids then I'd probably I'm guessing but probably be looking forward to Christmas day to see my
children's faces when they opened the presents and maybe I don't know it's it's just a guessing game isn't it I mean I can I can be honest when it comes to when it came to Christmas morning the only thing I was interested in was what presents I got I wasn't watching to see if anyone else opened the present that I got them apart from maybe my my mum that was about it really but generally I was just interested in what I got and other people were saying look look what I
got like I don't care I haven't finished emptying my sack yet obviously that that term took on a different meaning when I got older but you know as a kid because I had a big white Christmas sack with father Christmas on the side of it yeah it's the end of August I'm thinking about Christmas but it's less than four months away crazy isn't it considering the heat that there's been in my country and how lovely it is even outside today it's a bit nice it's windy which is good actually I
quite like a bit of wind a bit of wind but it's still it's getting chillier in the evenings but then always would do this time of year the end of August it's generally fairly cool in the evenings like in the early morning evenings night time gets cold I'll tell you the weird nights is in the middle of winter sometimes there'll be a night where it's like daylight outside I don't know if anyone else has experienced this but I've gone out with Vinnie I'm talking like January, December, January,
February you know like during the darkest months well January is the darkest month really and I took Vinnie out because he needed to go out and after midnight I think all the streetlights go off or is it even midnight or one in the morning now you still get a few you know at midnight whatever you still get a few lights house lights on where people you know still up watching television and stuff whatever they're doing and you'll have those actor light things you know so you walk past someone's house and
when you get up to their driveway about to try and sort of see if the doors open the light comes on you know trying to sort of break into the car or whatever so you've got those lights that come on but other than that it's like pitch black literally well on a couple occasions I've gone outside and it's been light almost like day daylight yeah a big moon I guess but it's so weird it's the same kind of light as you get see if it's snowing you know if there's snow
on the ground at night and if it's if it's a good old sun going up you know sun rather the moon's there then it's bright isn't it it's like light at night when there's snow on the ground for much longer than like a normal night but that's strange when it happens though but there's no one to ask I can't just like go up to knock on people's doors have you seen this you know no one to tell it's almost like did it really happen so yeah so diabetes what else new
kitchen birthday wishes thank you though I haven't got a list I'm just trying to remember in my head what I wanted to mention my website is still online the website that I've had for well it's still the same website jasonnewland.com still going to be same address what whatever service I use it's still functioning it's still everything's fine I can't upload any new recordings onto there so I can't make any changes because I've actually the whole service is running out on the 18th of September and I can't log in so I
can't make any changes become the 18th of September my website will be hosted elsewhere and yeah my website will be hosted elsewhere because well to start with I've been well I was redesigning the whole website which you might notice if you go on there I've spent a lot of time doing that making it better making it tidier and all that stuff and then basically they didn't say it to me but the website the web host put me in a situation where I just couldn't log in they said the only way
you can log in is if you have the code the big long code we gave you right at the beginning when we set up the the login system which I've never known that before and the reason I've done that is because I tried to get ChatGPT to log in to Shopify to make changes on my behalf rather than me going through every single page and they denied access which some some websites do but this is a new thing that ChatGPT can do this which is really good you know if someone's
for example they're not able to use their hands or let's say someone's not able to type so they can get ChatGPT or any other AI that they use to then log in to their website or log in to Google or log in to YouTube or wherever and tell it what you want to look for tell it what you want to do I want to change this page I'd like to change the image there you know as an example so it's quite a good thing to have available but it's new technology
and it's not not every website is going along with it and it's not that um ChatGPT because I've looked into this it's not that they're kind of trying to override anything this is a very safe way of doing it they've got all the protocols set up a bit like with credit cards and that so that they can't see the password or anything but yeah it's I guess it'll all update itself shortly because there'll come a time when there won't be any typing at all it'll all just be voice it'll probably
just be eye movement probably in the future so oh the e key on my laptop is defunct or at least not functioning correctly just keeps well press it I think I press it three times and it comes out once on the screen it's not fair so it's a little bit annoying because I can't really use it or have to use it but just keep going back and re-correcting words and stuff just that one key everything else is fine I mean technically I probably could just get another keyboard and attach it
to the laptop yeah probably actually but then the laptop would be too far away yeah I could I suppose I could have it on a screen you know like a um like a computer screen with a laptop and do it like that but I don't wanna I don't I don't wanna no we'll see so over the last oh where are we going if I go into I want to go into my website now how do I get into the website oh got it I found it nope it's not it I'm
trying to find the website I seem to have lost it okay I can just ask for it can you give me the link see can you give an the link to my my chat gpt website okay so that'll be finding a chat okay here we go right so this is the website it's not live it's not open like not it's not online if that makes sense and I've been building this for a few days now and a good thing about it is it's easy to build it without people seeing it
because then I can keep making changes and I literally can change over a thousand pages within a couple of minutes well maybe seven minutes but you know it's which would take me in the past a week maybe two weeks solid just to make a single change um if I was using a website builder like a host or whatever so this is much easier but I do keep running out of credit or whatever you want to call it basically I'm on a paid plan but your usage my usage runs out if
I use it too much so I've kind of given it a bit of a break today I had the same thing with TurboScribe because I've been transcribing my recordings and I've done quite a few because I've got quite a few but you know I haven't I've now done up to to one Let Me Bore You To Sleep 15 1501 to 1550 so I'm not up to date yet but I'm getting there I did quite a few blocks of 50 over the last couple or two or three days and then a
big massive banner came up on there saying if you want to continue doing more you need to subscribe to our hire plan we and it's 200 pound a month 200 did you hear me right 200 pound in fact I'm not even going to just let me account settings manage subscription okay if I manage subscription and it will give me the opportunity to oh maybe not maybe not okay update subscription update subscription oh that's weird it's not on there I paid 20 pound a month for this one perhaps they had a
special plan just for me very strange they were trying to get me to increase because I guess it was um they weren't happy the fact that I was using so much but it's unlimited you know 20 pound a month unlimited transcriptions and on a normal month I would only do as many recordings as a you know transcribers as many recordings as I do in that month which isn't many it's only going to be like 30 to 50 maybe recordings which isn't much at all but I guess because I've been doing
probably done a couple of hundred if not more recently they're perhaps a little bit oh he's going to be doing this forever he's gonna he's gonna drip us dry if that's such a thing wow it's not even available it was a big old banner honestly saying we suggest you ups not upscale upscale um I don't know whatever the word is sort of Vinnie's still not eating his dinner Vinnie's been there for hours he's not touched it I know that if I actually leave it there and I don't give him anything
he'll have no choice but to eat it because he'll be so hungry but he will refuse for as long as he can because he doesn't want to it doesn't yeah I'm paying for unlimited I mean I've not looked up the word unlimited in a dictionary recently I don't know why I just didn't feel the need but as far as I'm aware doesn't unlimited mean as many as you want yeah but what about fair usage fair usage okay where's the where's the fair usage policy let me have a look can I
see a fair usage policy um the media the pricing support account frequently asked questions is this is the third question is TurboScribe really unlimited oh okay here we go yes TurboScribe really is unlimited there are no caps on overall usage and customers regularly transcribe hundreds of hours per month the only rule is you can't share your login account with others I think that kind of explains that doesn't it how much does it cost TurboScribe unlimited costs okay 10 pound a month if you pay yearly 20 pound a month if you
pay monthly I'll do the monthly one is it really unlimited well yeah so what was that all about then want me to pay 200 pound 200 pound is that what it says so this is scarily good I transcribed hundreds of audio and video files in only a few minutes no you didn't hundreds of audio files unless the audio files only lasted for like 10 seconds each then it's still going to take probably half an hour or maybe if maybe 5 10 minutes 20 minutes but an average video for a short
video is going to be well I suppose shorts but standard video maybe 10 minutes so yeah it's going to take a lot more than just only a few minutes why did people tell fibs who's behind TurboScribe hi I'm Leif I spent almost a decade building AI systems at companies like Meta now build on products building products and services like TurboScribe these are good service I've been using them a few years now but this yeah it's a good service I just I wasn't massively it's powered by whisper I got more to
say to you about that whisper is I do believe that's open AI owns a whisper and what I've been doing with ChatGPT is building my website and the first thing I did was like can we just try and get the same design as the old website because literally I just spent three four days redesigning it and ChatGP said yeah okay then Jay so we kind of did that and then we worked through the coloring and making sure that all the pages are the same design and color and so then I
started looking at you know what what would be the best pages to have in on the first page and what would be the best to have in the navigation so we've got home podcasts playlists archive latest journal podcast app about support and contact now just mention a journal it has passed over all the journals there's only nine entries from the original website and I was playing around with that because basically I was using the voice recorder on the phone and saving it directly into the website so I was my journals
my little verbal online journals were way more than I would normally do and it was just translating it transcribing it so and that started on the 22nd of August this is only a week ago a lot's happened isn't it 22nd yeah 22nd six days ago ridiculous six days ago so everything was fine so I guess I spent a few days before that building or maybe a week working on building and changing the website yeah because what I did is I asked it told ChatGP what I wanted and it gave me
the code and told me where to paste the code in Shopify and I don't know but it seemed that the website didn't wasn't happy with what I was putting in I mean I've got no way of really explaining or proving that but clearly it was something that wasn't uh it wasn't happy with or whether there was some protocol broken or maybe some of the code that was put in wasn't acceptable to Shopify guidelines I don't know because no one told me it just locked me out so he's eating his dinner
now he's a good boy he is a good boy I know I moan about him but I moan about everything he's such a good little monkey head I'm gonna have a bit of an early night tonight we've sent important email to please check the inbox this is the co-op see the co-op bank co-optivebk so it's spam delete report spam because the co-op and it does oh no it wasn't spam I excuse me I do apologize to the co-op it wasn't spam I've just reported them so what's happening we're going into
the app to see what it is I don't know very very very weird anyway I think the the only time the bank ever really contacts me is just to let me know that there's insufficient funds in my bank for money that's they're trying to take out or that you know a bill or whatever is trying to take out hmm so I have really been putting a lot into the new website and one of the problems I mean it's not a problem but it's you know I kind of what's this listen
for it oh okay okay yeah um I get a little bit I get very very focused on what I'm doing sometimes to the exclusion of everything else and that's happened the last few days with or this week with the podcast with the website blimey I don't what am I talking about with the website and every time as I progress with it it's already better than any website I've ever had design-wise searchable searchability all that stuff but I want more I don't just want it to be the best podcast website or
the best website I've ever had myself but I want it to be the very best it could be I realize you know new technology will come along and I'll be able to improve it but for now I want it to be the very best and along the way I'm finding stuff that I didn't know was available because I'm basically as an example with the journal can I upload a recording and get the journal to transcribe the recording but also keep the recording so that people can choose visitors can choose to
either listen to me talking or read the transcription of what I said and when it comes to the podcasts section section I've got a it says here there's no account to create nothing to pay pick a recording get comfortable and press play it rhymed Vinnie's hungry he's eating everything so all the different podcasts I've got which I've got 17 on here yeah 17 podcasts individual podcasts and then I've also got playlists so these um so if I click on hit uh Let Me Bore You To Sleep it comes up and
all the latest recordings are on there but it's way neater and tidier and everything and than it's ever been before it's yeah it's pretty cool and you can literally if you click on one let's say just click on the last one um right I'll just put the laptop on mute so overnight music my granddad rode a horse number 1669 Let Me Bore You To Sleep so you've got the player which you can play you've got a big button just below the player which lets you download for free so there's no
you haven't got to sign in you haven't got to put your name in or address or email you just download it for free and it goes straight to your computer your iPad your phone whatever you're using okay and it's not all individual it's it's not all all six versions at the same time either so you can just download each individual one as you want to and then there's another another click there more from this collection there's also a notice listen safely only only listen when it's safe to close your eyes
and completely relax never listen while driving or operating machinery so the reason why when I do a recording I say only listen when it's safe to close your eyes is because when would you ever listen when would you ever drive with your eyes closed or operate machinery with your eyes closed you know I mean so in 2006 I came up with this I'm not sure if I came up with it or the man I was doing the cds with because he was he was printing the cds this is the alcohol
charity and we sort of like we need to put something on this cd to warn people to not listen to this when they're driving or you know when they need to be actively alert and we came up with a few ideas some of them were very funny and eventually only listen when it's safe to close your eyes very simple sentence very succinct but it covers kind of covers everything instead of don't don't listen when you're riding your bike or when you're in this you know guiding the space shuttle or standing
doing some roofing you know it's like it covers I might be wrong but I think it covers pretty much everything every scenario so yeah then there's more from this collection so if I click on that that one and it takes me back to Let Me Bore You To Sleep the whole thing there's a hundred like you can do a hundred and others it gives you a hundred of the most recent and then it can go back show the next hundred so because there's a lot then go back to all collections
now here is the recording archive which I've never had before so you can actually search by title episode number podcast playlist recording version or date and you know this you can really you can play around with this when you when you get onto the website for the first time if you want just to sort of get your eye it just to play around with it I'll be playing around with it a lot just to make sure it works between now and the 11th of September the 12th I say 18th of
September isn't it between now and whatever date yes the 18th I'm sure it's the 18th and you can find stuff so if you want to find Let Me Bore You To Sleep let's say search in all podcasts but you don't want to you want to just if you want to put in number 45 search all podcasts but you said no I wanted to search Let Me Bore You To Sleep search all playlists because there's a playlist for every single podcast and you might think well no I don't want to search
all you can but you can go to episodes 1 to 50 which makes more sense but you can do that recording version all versions where you might want to do the short voice only long voice only overnight voice only short music long music or overnight music so if I go for short music and you can also put a date in so I won't do that I'll just search the archive to see what comes up right this is really bad showing two recordings that's 1645 no so I put in numbers of
recording for oh I put it in the wrong section I should have put it's got actually got a section for episode number it's my website and I still don't know how to do it so there won't be a short music one for that one because it's not done yet nothing's come up that's because there isn't one there's no short music so if I do short voice only nothing's come up episode number 45 all right so if I do episodes 1 to 50 will come up now won't it nothing's come up
that's really rubbish I'm not selling it am I episodes 1 to 50 let's see if I do number one then see if that will come up no so I'll get it fixed that's really really bad what should I put in 2018 maybe that will help nothing wow this is this is not good there is another way of doing that probably easier way to be fair just click on the playlists Let Me Bore You To Sleep you can browse the six versions so short voice only and it's going to be different
versions all six versions short voice only episodes 1 to 50 51 to 100 blah blah blah so just all the way through to I don't know how far I've got to it 1651 to 1700 right oh okie doke so so if I want to just listen to 45 I'll just click on that one short voice only Let Me Bore You To Sleep 1 to 50 and just scroll down to number 45 recorded the 11th of October 2018 the very first one I did was the 27th of March 2018 they're all
around like there's not oh the first one to get over an hour was number 19 so in the podcasts I'm also going to need to put so let's say click on Let Me Bore You To Sleep it's all collections but I'd also need to put playlists as well yeah so this there's a lot of work to do still but it's coming together quite nice from a visual perspective in a sense of it works but not everything works clearly the archive that was bad maybe do I need the archive recording archive
if it doesn't work what's the point in eminent I just think it's probably too much stuff there it's like one two three four five five different things to go that you can choose from or six including recording date and if I just leave it completely blank and put in 27th 27th of March 2018 so yeah 27th of March 2018 number one's coming up but also so is number two three and four so I'm not sure why they've they're I don't know oh I do know because it's March they're the only
ones in March that's why okay the only one so they pretty much so we'll do that for April then will it if I put in April oh right yeah I've now got all the April ones but what if I put in didn't I put in the 27th I've put in the 12th of April right the closest one oh no I've found it 12th of April number 14 so it's gonna I'm probably gonna have to spend a few hours playing around with this get in chat GP to fix little things as
it occurs until it's satisfactory so there's the playlist you can go like manually just go to the playlists there's one two three four eight nine ten eleven twelve sixteen sixteen different podcasts and out of those Let Me Bore You To Sleep he's got 41 number playlists at the moment deep sleep whispers got 11 relaxation for stress and panic attacks got six relax and sleep hypnosis dailies got six six none of the others have got any but the Let Me Bore You To Sleep will have a lot more in fact I've
been working on that today and I've uploaded quite a few of the well I've now updated it so the Let Me Bore You To Sleep I've got all the way voice only short voice only to 1651 to 1700 ah wait a minute I'm sure I saw something there 1651 1651 1651 to 1700 it's added it automatically or maybe it was already on there maybe it was already on there just didn't have the yeah maybe it was huh I'm not sure I'm interested 60 ah well but um actually I can find
out straight away if it's got if it's added the the one without music 41 number playlists found on Spreaker there are now 1225 transcripts across episode 1 to 1250 so if I go to music long voice short music oh it has added it automatically so the new podcast that I uploaded it was one two three short with music short music and it's automatically added them to the website and giving it a an image wow so it's done the same for oh I did one two three four new podcasts on Spreaker
for the short voice only podcasts so yeah I've actually got as far as the new ones today and a bit yesterday as well one two three four five six seven so what's that 100 200 300 and 50 about 325 I've uploaded about 325 recordings today and to Spreaker so that they could be then available on my website ah if I click on latest on the website it's there's a playlist there just with the latest recordings pretty much like you get on the other website and then yeah that's about it really
for that for that page I'm going to add some more because I think it'd be good to have a link to the podcast and the playlists and stuff but I'll add that later the journal we've already covered that if I go to podcast apps now this is something that I had on the other website or still do but this is tidier and so you've got Spreaker Apple Podcasts Spotify Amazon Music and Audible iHeartRadio CastBox Deezer Podcast Addict and PodChaser now I probably if I did a bit more research could find
other pod well there are other apps that have my recordings on there but I thought I'd just do it with these ones now because these are the the ones that I know are kind of fixed that they were there so for example click on Apple Podcasts and oh oh oh I've got it I've got it oh that's not what I was thinking of that's not that's that's not all I was hoping for ah it's just taking me to the main podcast the hypnosis for sleeping deeply that's not what I had
on the other website I had the podcast for each each individual podcast so if you click on Apple Podcasts at the moment on the current website it will take you to all of my different podcast options to different ones on this one it doesn't but I can correct that so it's fine I just hadn't noticed it before CastBox yeah it's the same hypnosis for sleeping deeply I mean really the reason I didn't notice it because I didn't it's not what I've been focusing on pod chaser and then you got about
this needs to be changed because the about on my current website it's got a bit more information but on here it a calm place to return to in bigger letters I'm Jason Newland I have been creating free hypnosis relaxation and sleep recordings since 2006 some are guided and focused others are simply slow friendly and deliberately boring my aim is not to demand your attention it is to offer you something gentle to listen to while you settle down rest or allow your thoughts to become quieter you could stream the recordings without
