to keep the brain from swelling if you have to have a break if you're doing a sport where you have to have a break to have ice on your head to stop your brain from swelling then it's probably not a safe sport but I love boxing but you know if you think about it practically it's not the safest thing in the world to be doing you know what I mean so I'm going to give you a I'm going to make a recommendation for a television show which should be available everywhere

pretty much in the world if you have BBC iPlayer or can gain access to the BBC iPlayer which I think is available everywhere a TV show called and it's gone out of my head now I literally just watched it ok here we go I'll find it it's starring what's his name, David Mitchell and the TV show is called by the way if you don't know who David Mitchell is from the name he starred in Peep Show that's probably his biggest show that he's been in and he also does Would You Lie To Me Would I Lie To You,

sorry he's in a TV show called Ludwig Ludwig, Ludwig I thoroughly enjoyed it I really felt it was a nice treat I liked it a lot yeah I really did it was superb I, yeah I really liked it, seriously so I'm a bit of a fan of him because he's very very funny he's like an intellectual comedian and he seems to just be himself it's like it's the same character it's like he's just him I'm not saying he doesn't play characters but the character might have a different name and have

a different life and be a different person but it's still him still sounds the same still looks the same still has the same facial expressions still seems to have the same personality now I'm not saying that he's not a good actor but it works he's Ludwig is next to Peep Show is the thing that I'm my favourite thing I've seen of his and I think it's six episodes, some BBC one but it's, I watched it on the iPlayer it has I think just won some awards television awards,

BAFTAs or something and deservedly so I would say, potentially I really liked it it was just just what the Doctor ordered it was everything I ever wished for and more no, it was a good show, it was a good show he's 51 so he's only four years younger than me bless him really good show so I'm not going to spoil it or anything but he's basically yeah it's worth watching and it's funny it's quirky it's interesting yeah, it ticks a lot of boxes romantic, not really but you know,

it's not supposed to be it's very good, there's no superheroes there's no serious car chases there's no, there's no, you know, violence or anything there is but not like, you know, fighting or anything like that so it's a really, really good show really good, so I recommend watching it and it's free, I get it for free I don't because I pay a TV licence so I pay for it but I think you're in other countries the BBC iPlayer is probably free if you're in America or Australia or Canada let me

know if you get the iPlayer free and you can watch programmes for free that I have to pay for please let me know that'd be interesting to find out because I do wonder, you know, with the BBC TV shows like Downton Abbey how many multiple, multiple millions of pounds hundreds of millions has the BBC made from that TV show worldwide just that one show forgetting all the other shows that have been popular over the years just that one show and what about Doctor Who?

what about Worsell Gummidge? I don't know how popular that was EastEnders the news, the BBC news is available to watch in a lot of different countries I do believe anyway, just that's me I don't know why, I didn't expect to give a huge recommendation but it's really good so I'm just having a look, so the box is on I'll watch that later probably it said that the main card or the main fight should be around 8.45 8.45 so I'm probably, I'll watch it after about 7 ish kind of and just have a look through some of the other fights and yeah,

maybe you know what I mean you get me so let's have a look at there's not really a lot to talk about before I do the Q&A Friday section I know sometimes people do post like did you actually answer any questions? because you kept going on and on and on and on and on and I do have a tendency of doing that sometimes having a bit of problems with the audio equipment trying to get it so it sounds good but when it sounds good the volume is so low that then I have to turn it up and then there's that a little bit of static-y on the outside it's like,

oh I suppose I could try and work out how to use the equipment properly but I'm just I think I need better equipment I think that's what it might be not better microphones but just perhaps the mix it's not a mixer but it's it's a zoom thing that I use and I don't know, just I play with the knobs until I get a sound that sounds OK and then then I go back to it the next day and I listen with my headphones and it's just it doesn't sound right maybe

I've got the wrong ears so I took Vinnie out twice today took him out about 8 o'clock then around 2 and then I'll he'll go in the garden later for a wee wee I put food food out for him but he's just not not touching it so that's kind of his fault really isn't it I can't make him eat it I don't know why he won't just go over and help himself do his food it's like all he thinks about is you know,

the T-R-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-T-S and he's not having any because I've run out every time I get them for him he just eats them and begs and begs and begs and then that's it they go so quickly right so Q&A Friday first question I'm going to do Uncle Hubert Dirty Uncle Hubert which is Sebastian he posted this on YouTube so I thought I might as well just add it to the questions here are my official next Q&A Friday questions how aware are you that you are a character played by Lawrence R.

Harvey for comedic relief I don't know who Lawrence R. Harvey is should we just check this to see how rude he is being really that's okay so Lawrence R.

Harvey is best known for portraying Martin Lomax in the horror film The Human Centipede 2 thanks Sebastian and I wasn't aware of that but thanks if you were not aware before how does that make you feel now it makes me feel fulfilled it makes me feel all warm and cosy inside not in a not in a good way but thanks what would you say if I was the screenplay writer of your life I would scream help and it would be interesting though I mean based on what you know about my

life I mean I've not shared everything about my life but shared a few bits so it would be interesting what kind of thing you'd come up with especially as you would twist every single detail so that I looked really bad so yeah that would scare me but intrigue me at the same time because I imagine it would be quite funny Ing asks me did you learn a foreign language at school well the short answer to that is no but the longer answer is they tried so in junior school it was

very relaxed so we'd all be sitting in the classroom and they'd get a you know a big board or projector and going through things like merci bonjour you know some of the basic words and they'd have French people for breakfast having warm milk and bread which I thought this isn't real why would someone have warm milk and bread that's just not it that's not breakfast cornflakes is breakfast warm milk and bread so I still don't know if that's true or not I remember that and I was like 10 or 11

10 years old and I think it was on a Friday afternoon and I'd just sit there very bored bored because I had no interest I mean I didn't really know where France was I'd never been to France I suppose if I'd been to France I'd know where it was wouldn't I I didn't have any interest in France or any countries really at the time and the idea of learning a new language when I was still trying to learn English seemed a little bit nonsensical to me I felt I was doing

really well with English because you know when I started junior school in the new town when I was 7 I went to 3 different junior schools but once I settled down in the 3rd one that's when I started to really put effort in those last 2 years of junior school between like 9 and 10 years old I you know I was really working hard at writing and doing joined up writing and is that what you call cursor in America I'm not sure,

joined up the cursive and then I was reading books taking them home everyday reading a whole book at night and bringing it back they weren't big books I was really feeling quite good that I had I'd started off in junior school being well behind everybody so when I was 8 I was I probably had the English level of a 5 year old and then when I left high school at 10 nearly 11 when I started high school started high school at 11 I was probably equal to everyone else English wise

I was average level English it's the only it was the only subject I was at average level all the way through school I was not high level but I wasn't low level I was in the middle and it stayed that way and I liked English unfortunately in high school I got an English teacher that didn't like me the very first teacher that was my form teacher and I remember going up to him one day and saying why don't you like me and he just I don't know what he had an

issue with me I don't know I mean he said to my parents because I kept chucking tables at people but that's not a reason well maybe it is a reason but he he I remember seeing him when I was an adult and he had a book shop in the town and he looked the same he didn't really look that much different to what he looked like when he was at school and this was like 20 odd years later but that was a shame for me because it was the only class

that when I left junior school it was the only subject that I had any interest in it was reading like English not necessarily being a writer but it was the only thing that I was I'm not saying good at but felt that I was ok at that I would get good marks or ok marks so I mean there's a whole story about the is it Grendel what is it what's that story about the monster I don't know it's like a poem Grendel let's have a look Grendel Grendel Beowulf so it

is a poem isn't it so we were reading Beowulf this is in the first year of high school we were taking turns reading it I think and then a teacher I've told this story before but the teacher said go home I do believe this is the first week of high school go home and write what you think is going to happen next so I did and I was so excited and I wrote I spent about 2 hours maybe 3 hours writing down page after page after page of what was going

to happen next now you know if this was to go to court he wouldn't really stand a chance of winning because if you say to someone what do you think is going to happen next it could be anything there's no right or wrong answer is there he didn't say what do you think is going to happen next in context with what's happened previously he didn't say that he just said what do you think is going to happen next so I decided there was superheroes and UFOs and spaceships and talking cabbages

there's probably a lot of stuff in there that maybe didn't quite fit in to lubricated lawn mowers didn't quite fit in with the Beowulf the very famous Beowulf poem story didn't fit in but I didn't go backwards I went forwards there was no right or wrong at least I thought that until I got the mark back and he pretty much I don't know if he said it exactly like this but he said it was the worst most ridiculous piece of work he'd ever seen and he gave me like minus minus

F or you know it's like a really really bad mark as well as marking loads of spelling mistakes which fair enough I suppose spelling mistakes but I think that was more due to I was just so excited about it that I was probably not paying attention to how I was spelling but for me I was more interested in understanding something than maybe maybe my spelling never was great I don't know that is the important part of English I know so perhaps I wasn't great at that but ever since then that

happened and as soon as that happened all interest in schooling dropped out of me any interest in English any subject just dropped away and I no longer cared it's weird something like that could have that effect on me but it did and I just didn't care anymore and I really before I thought I was going to take it in I didn't expect him to start you know stand on the table captain my captain you know I wasn't expecting that but you know I didn't expect to walk into the gates of

the school and hear trumpets and a big red carpet with elephants dancing I don't know tap dancing I didn't expect a big fanfare not even a buffet I wasn't expecting anything like that some respect perhaps but I genuinely thought because I handed it in before break sort of in the morning and I went back probably after dinner and he handed them back and I really thought that I was going to get a top mark I actually thought he was going to well I don't know if I did but I think

I thought that he was going to ask me to read it out so I was a little bit concerned about that you know talking in public and all that and I mean I wasn't expecting TV producers or movie producers just to turn up wanting me to sign a contract you know I wasn't that deluded but I put a lot of work into it a lot of energy, a lot of time a lot of creativity I felt and he didn't seem to enjoy it quite as much as I any anyway it

is what it is but from then on I quit high school still had to turn up but I quit high school and I didn't put any effort in at all the only subject I found interesting was religion RE and that was just because the teachers were lovely and I'd grown up with religion so I kind of understood it a bit I lived with Catholic nuns for a couple of years so I knew I kind of knew my way around religion and I was interested in Buddhism,

I was interested in different religions Hinduism was something I found very fascinating and the teacher the second RE teacher I had she would come in and use metaphors and like Star Wars to explain the different religions and the universe and the idea of just I don't know it was exciting the way she did it and the RE teacher for the first two years was lovely as well and he gave me a recording of Joseph in a multi-coloured sweatshop thing and because he played that in the class for us so I honestly loved it I close my eyes,

he closed his eyes, let's push him into a hole now I loved that so I was kind of and I did go through a bit of a religious period because I mentioned my dad had to have an operation on his neck when I was in the first year, maybe second year and probably first year, so I was reading the New Testament like all the time it's weird, you don't get in trouble for doing that at school, not back then it's weird like, will you stop reading the bible?

he keeps reading the bible not really a complaint is it?

Not in the 80's it was like, ok, good on him but I did because I was just wanting my dad to get through the operation, which he did he's still around now but I didn't know if he would or not so I was really into the New Testament and I think for a while I thought I was I was the man if you know what I mean I don't even want to say it out loud that might just be my mental my mental brain when I was a kid I wasn't all there I don't think unlike now I'm super there super normal super normal so yeah that was every other subject I just I got through it just turned up,

did what I had to do did the minimum and went home for the whole of high school RE was interesting but it wasn't challenging I wasn't giving hassle because the RE teachers were just nice, so if someone didn't want to engage they didn't try and force them, there was no homework really that I remember plus a lot of the subjects they were talking about I already knew you know I read the Old Testament when I was probably about 9 or 10 and the New Testament I read when I was 11 so and I said I used to live with nuns so I knew my way around that stuff,

I'm not saying I understood it but I knew my way around it it wasn't foreign to me like French, see I got back to French yeah I didn't learn any languages at school that's by answering I'm sorry they tried I just couldn't I could do like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 8, 9, 10 so I remember like up to 10 but I didn't feel good learning that, I didn't feel accomplished I didn't feel it was useful the only thing is me and my brother used to practice doing it but he could count to 100 and I could count to 10,

although I might not have done it correctly just then 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 7, 8, 9, 10 whatever and I thought why don't I just say 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 why use different different sounds wouldn't it be easier if everyone just used the same sounds for numbers and that's what I used to think and then like Roman numerals why do we still use Roman numerals I don't know what it means I kind of do but I refuse to acknowledge that I know I

would not use Roman it's like thousands of years ago thousands of years ago the Romans were here they left these shores thousands of years ago we do not need to use their numerals and when they were here what were they they were tyrants they bossed us around took the English people as slaves they put in some nice nice sewage and stuff nice roads I mean they were here for what 400 years something like that and then they left had enough couldn't hack it well you can only hack it for 400

years that's a long time isn't it I mean how many generations is that the average person back then maybe lived to be 30 or 40 that's a lot of generations of people see yeah no no French no German German wasn't even an option and that's another thing I went to high school and German was an option and French was an option but it wasn't optional if that makes sense it was based upon how well you did at junior school whether or not you was allowed to learn French or learn German

I think French was first and then after a couple of years you could learn German I do believe and there was this whole studio with these headphones and stuff like that and I thought why why is a school teaching German I mean I couldn't really get my head around the French but why German what possible reason could there be for that I just didn't really understand it's not really a bad reason I just didn't understand why choose German why not Italian why not Spanish why not Russian why not Ghanian or

why not American Canadian Australian why Germany I just didn't understand how they came to choose what they chose to teach the French teacher oh he was he was a bit strict he was a deputy head he was the one that did all the caning he was yeah and he enjoyed it I hope he got put in prison at some point I remember at the very last I think it was it might not have been the last day of school for me but it was the last week of high school ever

and I'd always kind of not really clashed with him he knew who I was I knew who he was and he's someone that I would like avoid if I saw him I'd kind of just yeah he'd behave when he was around and I did something I don't know what it was I thought I was just messing around with someone and he came and got right in my face and he started shouting at me and I'd seen him do that to kids in the past over the last four and a half

years five years whatever and then drag them into his room and I so I thought this is weird and he's really shouting and then I realised that I didn't have to listen to him because I was literally about to leave school forever and I just started laughing and he didn't know what to do with that he didn't know what to do he's like ooooh he didn't go ooooh but he's like ooooh and he just walked away frustrated because he couldn't do anything he didn't have any power over me anymore I

could have just walked out it would have made no difference to my life or to his life or to anyone else's life I was just staying at school for that week because that was what I was told I was supposed to do but I didn't have to you know I had a full time job to go to in a chip shop but hey still a full time job there was no one at home keeping an eye on me to make sure that I was going to school anyway at that point

this was like right at the end so I think everyone had just given up on everything at that point and I was like I wish I'd done this earlier to this teacher because that was the only two teachers well three including the PE teacher which you had to be careful with they were a bit not very pleasant the rest were just ok you know like PE teacher he was just a big strong bloke and everyone did what he said really I didn't do everything he said I tried to do some

of the things he said like play football tried didn't do a very good job of it I blame him and he said no I didn't learn any foreign languages at school or out of school the only time I've learnt any kind of languages and I've learnt just a few words when I've gone abroad when I went to Bulgaria I had a couple of girls there teaching me how to speak certain things and I remember by ladies there was a bloke came up to me and he said I didn't realise he

was like a mobster really he came up to me I understand you've been talking to my girlfriend or my fiance I was like because she was working beyond one of the bars I didn't know who he was I didn't know that she had a boyfriend and she was also working behind that bar in the evening and I said yeah I was like oh dear he said yeah I just want to thank you she said you're teaching her English and she's been teaching you some some Bulgarian and I thought wow I

really thought I was going to be taken out into the mountains seriously but luckily he loved me he loved me so I learnt a few words one very important thing to remember if you go to Bulgaria yes is no and no is yes nodding wise which seems ridiculous so if you say to someone I found this out quite quickly if you say to someone would you like to go for a date with me they will nod their head no or they will nod their head yes depending on what their answer

is of course now I thought I was doing really well because everyone was saying yes to me so I got to the end of the first day and I thought I've literally got like five dates so I don't know how I'm going to figure this out I have to get back to them and sort out some kind of rota but it turned out I didn't because they were all saying no how did the rest of the world nod different but Bulgaria and I don't know what other countries do it as

well let's check this out which countries see you're probably thinking I'm making this up but I'm not which countries nod the wrong way right here we go Greece hasn't got all of them Greece a single nod of the head up indicates yes while a nod down means no wow why can't we just have a universal thing Cyprus similar to Greece a nod up yes nod down is no Iran a thumbs up is a universal sign of approval but in Iran it means the opposite okay let's read this back Iran a

thumbs up is a universal sign of approval but in Iran it means the opposite so it's just said both in Iran and in Iran do you think maybe they meant a different country because you can see how that could cause confusion and conflict potentially Albania nodding your head up and down actually means no while shaking your head side to side means yes Turkey a head nodding up is often accompanied by a slight turn of the head to the left or right which can indicate no why is my phone bleeping I

do apologise these cultural nuances highlight the importance of context when interpreting nodding gestures they're not mentioning but Bulgaria is one I know for certain because that's the only time I've ever knew that to happen so Bulgaria is the same as Albania it's almost impossible isn't it for there to be peace if you think about it they didn't know and there was no verbal way of communicating but they were communicating with nods and one was saying yes would you like a cease fire yes but they were nodding no you see what

I mean it's like it could get very confusing hmm I think I've just discovered the reason and therefore a system for world peace I'll tell you what I think would really be good is if everybody in everywhere in the world learnt universal sign language is there a thing such as I know there's a UK one universal sign language sign language universal sign language is there there's no official universal sign language there is a form of international sign language called gestuno well that for example teach that to all kids right from

an early age everywhere in the world which means we can all communicate with each other wherever we go without having to talk without having to nod our heads yes or no or knowing yes wrongly sign language the same for everybody can you imagine the change that could make over a period of time to the world world wow I'm feeling a bit like a diplomat if you were going to give a dinner party what would you serve to your guests who would you invite to your dinner party and it could be

anyone living past or famous Maria I'd have a buffet I'd have a buffet I've thought about this I think I'd have a buffet this time and wouldn't sit around a table have it very informal maybe have a comedy night or something like that but I wouldn't have just a couple of people I'd have everybody that I like I'd have different parties for different situations so I quite like a party with all my friends I've had from the past dead and alive providing they're nice to me that's the only thing,

have to be nice including all family members anyone that's been in my life that I like it'd be nice to have a dinner party, like a buffet with all of the comedians that I met and the promoters on the comedy circuit back in the 90's all of the staff, another one with a separate one all the staff that I've ever worked with all the people I've worked with over the years in 30, 40 different jobs I've had and then another party,

another buffet a separate buffet with all the people I've ever lived with because I've lived with so many different people in shared houses and stuff like that so all of those together, including all the kids from the children's homes including everyone including family anyone I've lived with I'm trying to think I'd like to have a buffet with the greatest hypnotists just for an interest but also another one with all the greatest or my favourite comedians and I could get advice from them just get a bit of advice but also have

some of the historic figures from the past but they all have to be able to speak English even if they didn't when they were alive and get their wisdom get what they would what advice they would give to me so whether it's Dostoevsky or whether it's Shakespeare or whether it's Aristotle or Beethoven or whoever just all these great people from the past and there's thousands upon thousands upon thousands of them so it would be very difficult I think this would need to be a regular weekly get together and just have different group of people every time and then I'd quite like to have a dinner party with Marilyn Monroe and no one else,

just me and her but that would be a romantic meal and it would be interesting to meet someone like that just someone so famous more famous after they departed than they were when they were alive almost in the preceding years like in the 70s and the 80s Marilyn Monroe constantly being talked about even in the 90s and 90s just to find out what she really was like as a person, like in private I've got an idea but it'd just be interesting yeah I think some meals I'd like to just have on my own I think like John Lennon or Elvis Presley,

Buddy Holly Bruce Lee but it'd be weird because they wouldn't know who I was would they and I'd know so much about them it'd be imagine if Elvis just wouldn't stop singing like come on Elvis just give it a rest can we just chat I just can't help believing no come on please can we just talk it's a one off event I brought you back just to talk to me why did you bring me back for this I could do other things I could do a concert return me to sender

is that what you're going to do with me you're going to return me to sender no stop it so yeah I'll stop with that one Bruce Lee keeps jumping around doing somersaults kicking the table in half so it might not work out perfect but it'd be interesting to meet some of my heroes from the past so yeah that's it that's kind of what I would do Christine asks I know you watch Top of the Pops you used to watch Top of the Pops every Thursday night did you watch the Christmas

Top of the Pops on Christmas day thanks for all you do thank you Christine I looked forward to that it was my favourite programme of the year pretty much my favourite programme of the year the only other programmes it could match would be probably EastEnders Christmas and the Only Fools and Horses Christmas edition episode if there was one but Top of the Pops every Christmas day all through the 90s the 2000s I mean there was a period when it wasn't even on anymore but they used to have it on on

Christmas day maybe they still do actually oh I wonder will there be there be T-O-T-P on Christmas on Christmas day no no it will not be on Christmas day this marks the first time since 60 years that a show will not be on air that day so I yeah I watch it every Christmas I will watch Top of the Pops if it's on I'm sure it stopped being on ages ago maybe I just watch it every I watch it every single Christmas day there won't be a day that I won't

watch it there won't be a Christmas day I don't think that I would have missed it really unless there was you know like dinner was being served just at that time and like come on you don't realise how important Top of the Pops is but that's the thing it's kind of like for those that don't watch a program and it means nothing to them then it means nothing to them on Christmas day either you know it's like I don't go and spend Christmas day with family because it means I need

to leave Vinnie in a kennel or with someone around here and I'm not going to spend every single day with him all year round 24 hours a day pretty much and then leave him at home for three days at Christmas and just leave him alone and not see him actually it's not fair on him is it it's not fair on me either because I might miss him I don't know yeah I love Top of the Pops love Top of the Pops although I probably wouldn't know half the songs being played

now although there's a really amazing Jessie J song I won't tell you what it's about but it's really it's I turned the volume down and my phone's still bleeping stop it it's really an emotional song and yeah it hit me it affected me I listened to it a few times Jessie J Jessie yeah I got very emotional hearing it just trying to think what's this song called Do It Like A Dude that's like Domino Street Talker It's My Party Bang Bang it really got me no it's yeah I can't find

right I can't find her latest song I forget what it's called because the last filmography was Discography 2025 let's have a look see if this is the one no secrets no so it's a really really good song but I don't know what it's called ok I can find it I know how to I won't tell you how I'm going to find it but here we go I'll never know why it's called and I suppose it hit me because of stuff so it's really good I'll be surprised if it doesn't get

to number one for Christmas I don't know if she's doing it for charity or not I don't know but I'd have to look into it to find out yeah I'd have to look into that I do believe that's all the questions answered and I didn't talk for hours and hours and hours like I normally do and I actually answered the questions foreign languages I think I got off topic a little bit possibly and Uncle Dirty Ugly Hubert Sebastian I mean you know Sebastian you are welcome to ask a normal question
