Hello and welcome to Let Me Bore You To Sleep it's Friday it's Friday's Q&A Friday I forgot the name of it it's not Friday's anything Q&A Friday don't worry I won't be doing the whole recording at that level of energy no so welcome to Let Me Bore You To Sleep welcome to jasonnewland.com.

My name is Jason Newland oh that's weird the internet has just gone off I have had so much problems with the internet I can't even begin to tell you well I can I just did didn't I so I began to tell you but wow seriously and so anyway only listen when you can safely close your eyes two things have been problematic internet not secured why is the internet not secured public network okay has to be public maybe that'll do the trick maybe maybe maybe disconnect and then connect automatically it's getting

silly now I just don't know where I stand with it anymore it's almost like the relationship between me and the board band is on shaky ground so here's how it all started I'm not going to go all the way back to the late 90s but yesterday like my internet's been going slow for a while it's not coming on at all now this is really really ridiculous why it did this last night now I downloaded the protection thing as well anti-malware ads and tracker blockers 57 have been blocked this is nordvpn

I've restarted the computer as in re reset it the laptop the laptop up which took all day because downloading to windows on the slowness of the internet literally took about six hours restart update to Microsoft Defender anti-viral and anti-malware platform right so this needs to be deleted I think Microsoft Defender anti-virus anti-malware platform this might be the cause of my problems like why it's not even working so let me go to the system can't you do that in your own time well it's hard for me to do this recording if

I can't actually see I can't get into Facebook I can't use your phone shush stop it I wonder if this is doing the same thing on my my iPad right it's banged into the microphone too right let's have another look see if the iPad's working it's not this is ridiculous so the internet's not working on the iPad either oh it is it is working okay good that's nice I wonder though what's going on because I'm just checking the speed of the internet on the iPad last night it was literally two

megabytes a second when I could get onto it wasn't even it got to the point where this morning last night and this morning the internet was not fast enough for me to even open up um YouTube on my TV never mind watch a video even the pictures didn't come up which is really really rubbish and connect automatically no internet secured there's a real issue going on here I've gone through all this recovery the thing is it's times like this where Vinnie crunching on that bone really annoys me normally like it's

good but it's distracting me for what I'm trying to do here I mean really this is just getting silly so if I have another one open that and see if it Facebook comes up Facebook login Facebook okay click on that come on so log in to Facebook okay so it's a Facebook's opening which is good right come on right it's open so there's there is some internet on there on the let me just check to see if it's using my phone device VPN Nord Nord VPN Nord links so it is

using the internet although I do have the option to use my phone because I get about 100 anything between 80 and 100 megabytes a second on my phone and data it's about 60 maybe 70 for between 40 and 70 on my internet normally so what I'll do is I think my beard is touching the microphone so if that's true speed check by Ookla Ookla let's go let's go okay so it's going to give me the speed so according to this the speed of my internet is 60 which is a bit

it's quite good it's quite good speed for me like on the broadband however the broadband is not working on my laptop now and I I don't I don't I don't I don't know why advanced browser protection Nord VPN malicious website blocker scam okay yeah that's all on it might be stopping the internet from working though there's always a chance I have to be a little bit careful that it's not getting in the way of that but at the same time I'm looking at my apps installed apps there's certain apps I

need to get rid of because it's not I think they're kind of uninstalling third-party antivirus software right it's an AV oh I don't know I'm confused baby I'm confused what's this all about and now it's come out of there so let's rerun it again it's not gonna give me any internet on there I'm really really I mean at the moment I'm glad that I've got internet on my iPad if I can remember what it's called but you know what I need both because I do different things on all of them

checking installed apps on my device okay see installed apps so English local experience code I don't know what that is um busty maids.com okay no um intel killer intelligence center I don't know what that is max audio pro I can get rid of that uninstall uninstall I don't know what that is it's probably a free thing that I downloaded um nord updater nord vpn remote desktop connection remote desktop connection I haven't used that wow uninstall so that's weird uninstall I didn't install that which makes you think somebody's wow somebody's got

hold of my someone's logged into my thing maybe do you want to make changes uninstalling it so I'm uninstalling it this might make the difference to finish uninstall you must restart your computer oh well done Vinnie flip flip flap flap flap is so let's have a look at the questions what have we got today that's why we're here isn't it for some reason last week's one is at the top I think it's going to be snowing today not today well maybe tonight but it's proper cold like cold I've got the

window wide open you could argue well close the window won't be cold we'll still be cold outside but I like the air to flow I do I like the air flowing but it's got to the point where I had to actually put some socks on why is all right I just realized I've just been moving stuff around so yeah I I think well it's definitely cold enough for ice because we had ice this morning and I went out today I didn't have my hat no I had my hat didn't have

my gloves I said I didn't have my gloves and it was cold cold I needed gloves well the internet's now working I don't know what's going on it's connected and it's secure who knows thing is I don't want anything weird I just want it just I just want it to work and I don't want Nord VPN which is supposed to be helping me to check for malware and ads and tracker blocking stuff like that hopefully it'll I've got it to protect my computer and my iPad and my phone and they're

all working it's just confusing me so let's have a look let's have a speed checker speed checker speed test so I'll do this one speed test on the laptop click on that using Oopla again I think it is okay so I'm getting over 60 megabytes per second on here that's good I mean I couldn't it's a bit like do you know I don't know if you've ever had a electricity cut but it's just the electricity's just gone off my power cut we call it don't we or when the hot water

stopped working the boiler I think it's just really weird how much I depend upon things I don't realize it until they're not there just little things like hot water it's not really a little thing is it but the thing is when when there's a power cut it means there's no heating because the boiler's electric no the boiler's gas but it's run by electric so the boiler yeah I don't know anyway without the electric it needs both electric and gas for the heating to be working so there's no hot water I

can't boil the kettle because there's no electricity and it was weird the last time we had a power cut here I was in this room with my neighbor from downstairs this is years ago this is the previous neighbor and I when I first moved in I really liked her and but you know I wasn't really sure she liked me or whatever but she I liked her anyway and then she she dated someone else and I kind of I kind of just didn't really sort of think about it but she came

up one day in the afternoon but it was in the winter so it would be about probably five and this was probably 2018 maybe 2017 I can check from my websites from my podcast what day it was actually the actual date and she started saying oh you're nice you are and then she started saying talking about like what we should have for dinner together and then she started to get undressed no she didn't but she she was like it was almost like it was we were in a relationship or something

I don't know it's just weird but um and she's standing at the window looking at the window and telling me she's paying me all these compliments and the power cut electric all electric went out and it was pitch black up here the worst timing in history because maybe another 10 minutes and it would have been fine timing it's just it me falling over probably didn't help either and also me screaming when it went dark because you know I'm scared of the dark but I just I just oh and then we

went downstairs to see if the other flats were off as well to make sure it wasn't just this flat and then everyone else was down there as well and she didn't want to there was too many people about and she went back in her flat and that's pretty much the last time I had a conversation with her it's weird just I'm not saying it would have been a relationship but she's paying me compliments I don't get compliments very often and she's telling me how handsome I am and how she thinks

about me whenever she wakes up no she didn't say that she did say though that she saw something that reminded me of she saw something like she was walking something that reminded me of her what reminded her of me and I'm thinking I don't know maybe it was a nice picture or maybe it was a cloud like it was you see it wasn't like an image of you so was it like a cloud um it looked a bit like me she said no some dog poo on the pavement and it

just just with a beard just looked a bit like you I mean that is a compliment isn't it that's what I'm thinking when she was saying stuff like that it was kind of and she said uh yeah I live downstairs I never hear your shower going if you ever actually had a shower since you lived there and then she sniffed and said well you don't smell that bad you you smell like you probably had a shower in the last year I said thanks I think compliments like that those kind of

compliments yeah what is he talking about again he's just coming up with silly things for no reason there's no reason for it so as far as as far or the internet that's one thing which seems to be fixed I don't know I'm not sure someone's hacked into my internet as I would to use it I don't know some people have that ability to do stuff like that I wasn't even able to check how to because there's a chat g chat gbt login I've already logged in why am I logging in

again right I have to log in back again because it gave me a number to look to plug in which is um right so noise in the garden oh now guys this is here I mean the good thing I've got these like ways of like security things on here so which is good so I can't just block log in I have to get an email reminder and with a code I got to put in it which is okay but at the same time it's also really annoying to have to keep going through that right done so today I went and saw my daddy uh we had lunch well we had basically we met up at 11.

Vinnie's staring at me I think he he wants wow it's 20 to 8 and I haven't even had my dinner yet I don't really know what he wants he's staring at me but I'm not going anywhere slow broadband fix so I asked chat gbt this earlier took about 20 minutes for the for the page to open but it gave me a number to type in and then I should be able to see who if anyone else is on my um using my my broadband it should technically show me all the

devices that are using it but I tried it and it would not let me in the page not found and it looks like it's doing exactly the same thing now can't reach this page which I'm wondering why that is so you just basically look for device list connected devices and then it say change your wi-fi password log in log into the router admin panel go to wi-fi settings change the ssid password reconnect your own devices with the new password this is the way to stop any unwanted access and number three

sometimes slow speeds have nothing to do with others users and three different webs you know different broadband providers can slow down if you're far from the mast there's a congestion evenings especially the router is in a poor spot try putting a router near a window higher up away from the thick walls it's near a window it's actually in a window this alone can double speeds restart or reposition your router a simple reboot often clears network congestion and are you on 4g or 5g if you're on 5g the blah blah blah

the it can drop to congestion okay so sometimes if the signal's weak on 5g it can drop down to 4g check what the router's home i don't know quick test to confirm if someone's using that turn off wi-fi on all your own devices and see and listen to see if you can hear anyone shouting where where's the wi-fi gone and check the router's device list if anything still slows down if anything still shows it's not yours run a speed test with only your phone connected if speed improves noticeably someone's probably

using data if you want you can tell me your router model blah blah blah and i'll give a step-by-step instruction for your exact device so that is something i might do because the problem is i know it's not necessarily going to be interesting to anyone but tomorrow saturday the 22nd of november i nearly said september is boxing tomorrow afternoon about four o'clock and i can't put it this way if i had the same thing happen to my internet tomorrow that happened last night i won't be able to watch the fight

i'll be able to watch any of the boxing which will be incredibly well you know it's the only thing i kind of look forward to so it's going to be upsetting i love my boxing and my brother likes speedway i can't grasp why he does but at the same time he probably can't grasp why i love boxing and today i found out more about my granddad from my dad because my my granddad was he was a boxer and it turns out he he fought at the albert hall when he was

eight years old as an amateur obviously you can't be a professional eight he fought at the albert hall which is a historic um place for boxing like you know in london with world really it's just it's a bit like um carnegie hall is hugely famous for what's singing and stuff like that so it's just a really big thing he was eight years old he was so i just i just started laughing because i imagined my dad at eight my granddad at eight and i can't even imagine him at eight he's

i can imagine the little body but he's still got his own face and the moustache so it doesn't really work but i knew he was because my nan had all these trophies because he was in the army he was a i didn't realize when he was in the army he was a fitness instructor i forgot about that and of course my dad knows huge amounts about my granddad and as my nan did but um i'd never really spoken to my dad about him so most of my information has been gotten

from my nan and she's shown me photographs of him when he was a young man like with the boxing gloves on and um loads of medals trophies all kinds of stuff that he did he boxed in the army as well so when he left school he went into the army and did probably 12 years and when he got out of the army so he'd won loads of trophies he was a fitness instructor in the army and then when he got out he was i think he was about 28 so he

probably went in when he was 16 did 12 years this isn't going to be precise and then when he was 29 the second world war started so he was the first back into the army because anyone anyone was already in the army obviously they were first or the forces and then people that had previously been in the forces were sort of like brought back in they were like the first the first um i was going to say pedestrians but this is the first non what do you call them people that

aren't in the forces civvies so the first civvies to get put back in that got drawn into the war were the former people that were trained or people who were formerly trained vinnie's acting very strange i don't quite know what he's doing basically vinnie started um he looked like he was about to go to the toilet which is something he doesn't what he never does so and he was hassling me i didn't think he'd want to go to the toilet because i've only been back a couple of hours so i

took him to the garden he did do a big wee two wees in fact but he was also i realized he was hassling me because he wanted more food which he's just eaten he's now crunching some dry food so he seems happy enough now i've got no idea what oh yeah my granddad's boxing i said to my dad why didn't granddad teach me to box or teach me and my brothers to box we loved that and he didn't well the thing is my granddad was kind of an old man he

was he was like retirement age when i was sort of seven or eight i think he retired when i was eight so he wasn't i guess and he hadn't boxed i think yes it's since before the second world war i think he he basically he when he left the army and then he went back in the army to you know during the war he you know there was no sports or fun to be had and he was a prisoner of war for a couple of years so he he wasn't he

didn't get that anymore you know but apparently he's a big fan of boxing still watched it on tv watched it with his kids growing up even watched it he was a big fan of sports i mean i literally had what two or three conversations with my granddad from the ages seven to the age of 21 and i saw him loads of times in that time especially when i was a kid see him every week he just never talked to me never really said anything to me he wasn't rude it was

and i had a lot of respect for him so it was it wasn't like he was being horrible he just was very quiet very quiet man and without going into personal details he didn't even talk about the war until his last final weeks he started opening up and talking to his kids and his and his my nan he never talked to anyone about it he came home 1945 46 or whatever it was because he was um a he was they thought he was he was gone my name got a telegram

in about 1944 i think maybe 43 maybe 42 i don't know saying that he was lost in action presumed no longer with us and then after the war finished she got another i don't know she got a telegram or she got a phone call or probably at this point they probably knocked on her door because they had the resources didn't need to do that then and they came and let her know that he was still alive he wasn't well but he was still alive and they found him one of the

camps and he had to go through a rehabilitation and he like weighed nothing you know so it took i think it was about three months maybe longer to get his strength up and they probably had to i imagine it's the forces what do you want vinnie go away leave me alone i didn't get you three years ago so that you'd be part of my life i just want you to sit in the corner sit in the corner what do you want why if i wasn't doing this recording he wouldn't even

be pestering me he'd just be sitting next to me or lying down cuddled up to me asleep that's what he would be doing he wouldn't be bothering me or he might be on the floor chomping on a bone or something but the fact that i'm not giving him my attention am i vinnie he wants it and i don't know if it's the change of the weather because it really is the coldest day today for a long time i mean i can't say it's the coldest day of the year because we

had you know january and it's that's one of the coldest months of the year january but it's it's it's one of the coldest days for many many many many many many many many months i would say in where i am some parts of scotland had like minus 11 or something which is just i mean i guess it's kind of normal not for us but in parts of scotland and parts of wales there's some places that are just i think they live in high ground isn't a high ground is where it's

coldest and snow isn't romantic i think if you live in places like that but if we have snow this weekend i'll be happy because i wore my boots i've got these hiking boots that i bought about six years ago hardly worn them they're the kind of boots that would potentially last me for decades if i didn't wear them every day that is if i look after them because they're really well made and they cost me i feel i spent 120 pound on them six years ago i've never spent that much

money on footwear in my life in fact i don't think i've spent that much since six years ago i think 40 pound or 50 pounds about the most i spend on shoes and because i'm not very fashionable that's why but i wore them today because i thought it's cold it's icy and the best things to wear if you're outside is outside clothing and these boots are built for that they're built for rugged weather unfortunately my body is not i was killed well that was a lot warmer so when i went

out about nine just after nine maybe 20 past nine this morning thinking it was saturday for some reason i think that's because i normally meet my dad on a saturday when he comes up here and it's a friday today and it just threw me off and i was walking back thinking oh it's saturday and i bumped into someone who is another dog walker lives around the corner but he i can never stop and talk to him because vinnie barks at his dog like every single time and it was a bit

weird talking to him without vinnie barking and then he said oh something about it being friday like that's not friday is it saturday and he pushed me in the ditch no he didn't he said no it's friday i said wow i can't believe it i really thought it was saturday it just feels like a saturday he said not to me it feels like a friday i said yeah but i said normally i meet my dad on a saturday if i meet him and uh he today's a friday he said well

why are you telling me this i swear vinnie couldn't he's been looking for all the things on the floor to find the noisiest thing absolute noisiest thing he found something on the bedroom floor i think it was one of his treats that he hid and he jumped on the bed and it was dark and i think what are you doing and i wanted to have a look to make sure that he wasn't doing anything dodgy i mean he wouldn't he doesn't eat socks or do stuff like that although i used

to rip up shoes when i first got him and i went i went to have a look and he growled and every time i put my hands near him he growled so i did i went back and laid down and i started putting my feet near him and every time my toes got a little bit close he growled at me and it was really it's like funny just listening to i could like control his growling oh bless him it's things like that that amuse me for some reason so back to

the podcast it's a friday yes i saw saw my dad and he said to i said why didn't why didn't granddad teach us and he said we taught he taught us i said no that's what i said to us i said no so he said he my granddad taught my dad and his two brothers how to box and he had them in the garden boxing and he actually got little boxing gloves for them which i didn't know they made well i suppose they would because my granddad might would have had

them wouldn't they because he was a kid um an amateur boxer as a kid i think he was even a champion but i realize i'm kind of in that gray area i'm the gray area of not known enough but wanting to really embellish i want to show off which is weird because my granddad wouldn't if you met my grand i mean my granddad's gone now but if you'd have met him you would never even have known that he'd been a boxer unless you attacked him and then you'd find yourself unconscious

on the floor then you got realize but other than that and someone did that when he was in his 70s i think yeah he was in his 70s and he was on his bike and my granddad was plastic i didn't even know i knew he'd been a boxer in the army that's all i really knew when i was a kid so this happened when i was i'll put it early 20s i found out a lot more about my granddad once he'd left than i did when he was around because my

nan wouldn't she wouldn't talk about him when he was in the house when he you know i suppose just respect thing she wouldn't get pictures out and talk about him and but i'd have loved that in fact i'd have loved it if my granddad had said come here grandson that's not how he talked come here my grandson come and sit at the table and i'll show you some some pictures of me doing boxing i'd have loved that honestly if he'd have shown me his trophies and um there's photographs him of

him holding trophies i don't know if he still had all of those trophies i think they some they might got lost along the way but he just that would have been so cool because i don't think he realized how much i loved boxing and i wasn't obviously i wasn't a boxer i would have loved to have been but there was no boxing club where i lived so i did karate and that was the only there was it there was a judo club but i didn't do judo because i had a

belief rightly or wrongly that judo was not going to help me against someone bigger and everyone was bigger than me at least if i could kick them keep it from a distance uh that would be more advantageous than judo when i know strength people you know there's this thing like old jiu-jitsu judo it's not about strength it's not just about strength but someone that's really strong against a much smaller person is i'm gonna get if they're like a black belt like really really really good at what they do it's a

different thing but for a beginner which i would have been i don't think it would have i don't know i did at the time i didn't feel that it would be helpful if i could go back well actually i did go to the boxing club in the next town so i don't really have an excuse but that was i was probably about 14 by then maybe even 15 and i was getting to the yeah i think it was the last year of school and a friend of mine had been going

to the boxing and it it turned his personality a bit it was weird because he was huge he was i mean he was he was a grown man in junior school he was big as my dad in the first year of high school and that is not an exaggeration he was just bigger than everyone but he didn't he's like he didn't know it it was a little bit like a st bernard dog when i was a kid i'm not saying i'm not saying he was like a big slobbering dog but

when i was about 14 15 we had a st bernard dog and called misty and she it literally grew in front of your eyes it just became huge started off tiny became huge and she would cower like a poodle would come up to her and she'd hide and be scared because she didn't she didn't know that she was the size of a house he didn't seem to know how big he was that he was i'm not saying he was the biggest person in the entire school but he was among the

biggest kids in the school you know right from it's like he seemed to it's almost like he reached manhood at a much earlier age but it wasn't just being a man he was also a really really big man as well so it was always cheeky he was in the sea cadets with me and he was i always got on right well with him and he used to run away from people some he had a friend in his that person would come after me to run away from him and and i

think you not realize how big you are he literally could just pick anyone up and just chuck him around if he wanted to and then when he got to about 14 probably 15 actually he started going to boxing in the next town and i went there as well once and it changed him because he was suddenly they couldn't put him really with kids he had to spar with adults because of his size so he might have been 14 but it was kind of 14 15 and so he was sparring with

adults probably people in their 18 19 20 23 24 and he realized that he could hold his own if not more against fully grown adults and it took away it kind of changed the way i mean i'm adding my own material here i'm adding my own almost like i can read his mind of course i can't but he he became he kind of wanted to fight people that's what happened he started wanting to have fights with people and the sad thing about it is because i liked him i was friends

with him from junior school and one of my other good friends was the toughest kid at the school was toughest kid of the year one of them there was two that i was friends with both of them but then this anyway they ended up having a fight and i was so upset because two when two friends have a punch up for no reason other than just to try show dominance it it upset me i didn't i wasn't happy and um yeah it's i wasn't pleased with that i told them off

the weird thing about it is i'm not saying names but the the big one the other one was also he was like man size in junior school and he height but he wasn't as big he was big broad like you know he was like big muscles and everything but he wasn't tall like the big one so there's a big one so let's focus on him i had someone another kid started on me for no reason now i used to be annoying hard to believe but sometimes people get upset with me

at school and i didn't really know why and i wish i did because then i could do more of it but i was like i didn't know sometimes and this kid started on me and the big lad that i told you about that i was friends with he got in front he got between us and he pushed the one against the window and the window broke and so he protected me from this other lad because he'd known me you know he'd known me since the age of nine and he was

twice my size literally twice my size so he probably would have been about i was about seven stone he was at least 15 probably 15 14 15 16 stone so i went around they they had to go and they were standing outside the headmaster's door and i went round and i thanked my friend but the other one i thought was my friend as well but you know but i thanked he wasn't really it's really vague if i don't say names it's vague i remember their names though so the big one

i said thank you to him and i went over to the other one and i said what was that about what what are you doing now the weird thing that happened next okay is i'm sitting and this is not the same day or maybe maybe it was the next week or something i'm in the so i'm in the classroom with the one that had a go at me so i'm in the classroom at break time he's sitting in the corner i still visualize it now he's sitting in the corner on

his own i'm sitting one of the tables sort of in the middle and it wasn't really awkward because i kind of just if you're around people all the time you kind of just get used to them being there don't you but there's only two of us in a classroom suddenly there's this big crowd of people kids standing outside the door the door opens and the toughest kid from the year below tells him to come starts talking to him he said you you did this whatever apparently a girl told him that

she'd hit him or something i don't know what happened or if it did happen and he said come on come out here and he wouldn't leave i don't know why why didn't they just come into the room i don't know maybe they were vampires and they had to be invited but they wouldn't come in i just watched out of interest that night after school i was with my friend my different friend we're just walking home and this bloke the kid that was being it's hard to follow isn't it even i'm

struggling and i was there anyway he's coming out it's winter and some bloke runs over and starts attacking him who is the girl's boyfriend so she was still at school she was dating someone in his 20s who was in a car and it was really weird just i kind of just watched i didn't get involved and and i just it's this weird that like that it was almost like oh okay i was gonna i wasn't gonna let it get out of hand but at the same time if it'd been anybody

else if it was someone that i liked i would have stood and tried to stop it but because this way because it only attacked me like a couple of weeks earlier or tried to attack me i kind of thought i was a kid as well i mean i don't have i don't bear crotches anymore but maybe i do i don't know he wasn't hurt he was just you know bashed just bashed a few times but i just thought wow how weird for that to come around so quickly to to him

to get what he was giving and i just walked home it was it was weird it was almost like okay i didn't need to do anything because i did wonder i did have a little feeling of like hmm i mean there was once um anyway there's other stuff but that was just a weird one and he just i don't know how to explain it it was very strange because he was a nice bloke i just but he he was i guess he was just a young i you know full of

hormones and he was um who knows i mean i don't know what happened between him and the girl i've got no idea really but he yeah i mean if anything did happen why weren't the teachers weren't involved the police weren't involved nothing so i don't know i just couldn't understand why wasn't anyone coming into the classroom why do all like there must have been 20 20 kids all like come on come out which i understand why he wouldn't go out who would but why didn't they come in there's lots of

i feel like saying look it's loads of room after we moved the chairs and tables out of the way moved them to the side it's loads of room you'd all take turns i actually there was this one time i was walking down on the beach with my friend and this big group of kids i mean i'm talking like 20 30 ridiculous all walking towards me shouting there he is newland that's him you can tell it when my friends because i said newland it's new land i didn't correct them for fear

of punishment and i thought what the heck's going on here now i genuinely didn't know and it you know i mean i wouldn't have stood a chance against that many people but they they're like they were coming for me literally coming to get me and someone from the back or in the middle shouted out no that's not him that's his brother and i said where's your brother i said i don't care why what do you just want me to do because i didn't show i found it funny because in a

situation like that all you can do is run or swim because i was on the beach i could have swum but i didn't swim very well so you got two ways to go you can run to the left to the right you can swim run backwards and swim or you can start digging i mean that's kind of the the three options or hope that a ufo will come just zap you up and i was a kid back then the thing is my brother never ever he got into trouble but he

never he never came home with a bruise honestly never ever came home he got so much trouble as a kid never came home with as much as a cut lip or black eye or anything never ever the whole time i was a kid living with him the thing is he did look out for me so that's one of the good things about having older older brothers is like my oldest brother he was too old to look out for me because he was just he wasn't he was four years older he

was at different schools i didn't go to the same school as him probably ever and he i mean he left school when i was 14 and he did his a levels so he was at school till he was 18 i think so but my other brother like both of them they lived in different they went to a different school to me the different high school and i went to two years of a junior school where my other brother went to high school so it basically i didn't spend high school with

them if i had i think my high school experience would have been very different because i would have had i don't know it just would have been different i wouldn't have been on my own i had to kind of make it my own way make my own way through high school without the help of which a lot of people do have to but i wouldn't it could have been a curse as well because i would have perhaps have to deal with the fallout of stuff that they did maybe as well

or like they might have to with me because some of the stuff that i got up to when i first started at high school my brothers might would have had to sort it out so it's it's yeah it kind of goes both ways i suppose the um my first parents evening my dad and his wife came home and said and this is the first year of high school so i was 11 and they said uh well things aren't going so well i said well i kind of know that i do

go there i do know the uh the outlay of the place you know and they said well your teacher keeps saying she said that they're saying you're too violent i said what do you mean and so the teacher says i have to physically move you from people and you keep hitting people with desks i was like yeah see i didn't think that was violent that's the thing you know of course i wouldn't it is i know it is but now but back then i was i'd come from i'd come from

a very rough background and because i was so little i didn't have i had to use what was around you know i mean if there'd have been a a it's not like i attacked with a chainsaw if it's been a chainsaw i might have done in front i probably would have done but at that age i couldn't even carry a chainsaw dear jason this podcast went in a very different direction to what i thought it would do me too me too i was with you then you started talking about chainsaws

um so i saw my dad today and he was talking about my granddad and it was oh yeah so my granddad in his 70s i think he was probably his early 70s i'm just trying to think he yeah he was 90 he was 80 in 1990 so probably middle 70s maybe like 73 74 75 something like that he's riding on his bicycle and he gets and he lived in a little town but he was on like the main road but still wasn't busy busy it's quite you know quite a big

road so it's generally okay now i don't know someone was at fault i don't know if he pulled out and the person in the car behind him didn't like what he did and but basically the car stopped in front of my granddad the bloke got out of his car my granddad got off his bike and the bloke started having a go at my granddad and then a while later he woke up and my granddad was gone it was it was simple as that he just he just knocked him clock spark

out as soon as he started being aggressive i don't know how much he took before he did anything it was almost like natural instinct and i thought that's cool not obviously not cool with the aggression but just he wasn't an aggressive person he's just to think that 70 someone in their mid-70s and he was there wasn't a big bloke i mean he'd shrunk by then he probably was shorter than me by the time he was 75 he didn't have any anything near the strength that he used to have or the

speed the power um or anything but he still what he did have was those reflexes and bang gone and he went back went back home and he said to my nan he told her what happened and he said uh the bikes are now going into the into the shed you know we're not using bikes anymore and he it wasn't that he he didn't ban her in in the kind of you know like macho way but he just said that's it the roads are too they're not safe enough because he didn't

want her to go through that so and i think the car nearly run him over and i don't know if my granddad was sticking his finger up or something probably not actually so um yeah from then on that neither of us neither of them rode a bike again and i mean they were both pensioners and my nan had a bus pass so she'd she'd walk usually anyway and my dad my granddad never got a bus he always walked unless he got picked up in a car but when we went out

so we have like a sunday lunch as kids we'd walk all the way around where there was a duck pond but my granddad like my nan would walk and she'd talk and i talked to my nan and we'd all you know we should all be together my granddad would be half a mile away in front i'd be half a mile away behind because i was so slow he literally he would walk like he was sprinting and i couldn't understand why i just couldn't like why just why this is why not

just spend some time with us it's almost like he didn't that's how i felt like he didn't want to be with us he didn't want to spend not be seen with us but he didn't want to walk with us and this is in the countryside um kind of a time for relaxation all the birds singing and the ducks barking or whatever and the goats meowing it was just kind of i couldn't really understand him i couldn't get inside his head you know it was i felt safe with him he's kind

of he was one of these people that you just he looked i'll tell you this again this is going to sound like i'm making it up he looked like clark gable right he actually looked like clark gable clark gable now you might think oh but actually if you saw a picture of him you'd think oh and that's why i'm so handsome and sexy now i'm not saying my granddad was sexy because that sounds weird doesn't it but i can call myself sexy i'm sure a lot of people think that granddad

looked like clark gable and there was a period during clark gable's life when he had a moustache he had his hair greased back and that's what and my granddad looked like when he i don't mean there's an old man but when he was like a younger person and he was vinnie go away please please leave me alone can't you let me be can't you let daddy be letty g b b b d b d b b i'm just trying to just make a podcast that's all i'm trying to do that's

all i'm trying to do then i'm not trying to ruin things for you i'm just trying to make a podcast will you let me do the podcast you're looking over there like what is it you want more of there's always you never have enough do you never have enough ever do you think one day you'll be satisfied one day do you think you'll ever be satisfied do you think you'll ever just be pleased ever so pleased with how things are right now rather than how you'd like them to be do

you think so then is there a chance that you'd be content with the now not always thinking about what you want it's never what you need though is it it's always what you want if you could see what he's just looking at me turning his head from side to side in it i don't know what you want then what is it you want baby boy what do you want baby boy what do you want if he ever answers me back i'm in trouble no come on well actually what i would

like is some more food some more food now when you went he's literally standing on the side of the city he's looking like he wants to get on my lap you want to get on my lap but if i move forward you'll jump off so what's the point i think it's getting to that part of the day because it's 20 to 9 he wants to cuddle he's kind of ready for bed you want to just settle down don't you so he's kind of wanting to climb on my lap but at

the same time he doesn't want me to grab him doesn't want me to pick him up and if i move forward he will jump off do you want to get on my lap and the only reason i i know about that the lap thing is because he puts his hand forward to kind of get onto my lap because it's on the edge of the sofa maria asks do you think that j do you think that j i can actually answer these questions in about two seconds i'm not i will but

then i'll go back so maria maria asks do you think jake paul can be aj on 9th of december in miami no ing asks when i was learning english at school about 50 years ago the teacher told us that there was a strong sense of class consciousness in england is that still the case how was it noticeable or how is it noticeable now i've got no idea i've never even heard of that before and asked do you follow any other sports beside boxing no so that's all the other questions answered

i'm going back to maria so i the only way that j paul can beat antony joshua i would say is if it's a fix unless antony joshua's jaw is completely gone which you couldn't blame him after i mean that knockout he went through against dubois was really bad like really bad i mean i'd be surprised if he hadn't had his jaw broken that was really bad and he shouldn't have even a one percent chance at all i mean the way i see it right would you put antony did you put

um jake paul in with any of the top 10 fighters in the world or any of the top 20 fighters that's what i'm thinking so okay forget antony joshua two-time heavyweight champion of the world um how would he fare against chisora he wouldn't he wouldn't stand a chance against chisora now chisora he would never fight antony joshua because they're best friends but so you could say okay well okay well let's go for a different person let's go josey parker how would antony joshua go against josey parker he wouldn't wouldn't stand

a chance how would um jake paul fare against um okay let's get the top the top 20 top 20 heavyweights heavyweights 2005 2025 so let's have a look i'll go down right to the bottom so 20 number 20 is frank sanchez this is according to i don't know who's it according to but it's just like just look at this frank sanchez he's only had one defeat he would knock jake paul out he wouldn't stand a chance moses atuma jake paul would not stand a chance i don't know why the top

20 why okay this is this is out of date out of date they still got um daniel dubois as the ibf world champion which he hasn't been for a while so if we get okay the ring's top 10 let's go to the ring's top 10 oh come on please don't go slow the ring's top 10 so you've got i would say you've got let's have a look effa ajegba he would knock out he jake paul would not stand a chance against him he's number 10 moses atoma they're saying he's number

nine but i think he'd probably be ranked higher than that really but anyway that this is back in october so it's probably changed now he's jake paul well jake paul would not get in the ring with moses atoma i don't think he'd do it honestly um martin bercouli jake paul would not stand a chance against martin bercouli and he's number eight zilly zhang jake paul would not stand because i know it's the same sentence but you know where i'm going with this um fabio wardley who's now the wbo world heavyweight

champion and he's got him down his number six there but i guess now he'd be number two number i guess philip herkovich jake paul would not he would not stand a chance daniel dubois would knock him clean out um adjut cabal who's one of my boxes in the heavyweight division unbeaten he should why he's not he um i would not be surprised if he becomes a world champion for at least one of the belts he's so good joseph parker he's at number two here so this was before the wardley fight

wouldn't stand a chance against joseph parker tyson fury i mean come on he wouldn't stand a chance and alexandra um usic i mean that would just be vinny really mate what are you doing he's being a bit naughty today i'm watching you i don't mind you going under there but i just don't really want you making too much noise i gotta have a tidy up because he's he's in it's turned into a playground he's moved his stuff all around the place i kind of i don't think i really don't think

that jake paul is above if he was uk if he was in the uk i would say he could win a british title not a heavyweight because he's i think he's cruiserweight although so he shouldn't even be fighting a heavyweight and why if he you fight one of the best heavyweights and it's weird but yeah so it's i don't think i think he could probably get to british title maybe european title level possibly i at cruiserweight and if he kept going maybe he could get to world level i mean it's

possible you know by the time he's i don't know how old he is now it's you know it's possible that he could get to a world level but the only way i see him beating anthony joshua on the 9th of december is it really i thought it was a 19th for some reason the 9th of december and i will be watching it there's no way in the i can't watch it is it going to be in america or is it going to be in dubai a j against a paul jake

where is it going to be i'll tell you there was a funny thing though where jake paul was playing around with a life-size image of anthony joshua and there's a huge size difference between the two of them i mean jake paul was up to his he's pretty much head and shoulders above a lot heavier i mean it's just jake paul's not a heavyweight it's different when he was fighting mike tyson because mike tyson was 49 years old or something wasn't he was it 59 years old 58 years old see it's

different when someone's 26 or 27 and you know it's but you go against someone that's 37 and was a world champion two years ago it's a different different ball game completely different ball game and he's already been beaten by tyson few his brother i forget his name but he got beaten by him so it's kind of the only way i see him winning is i don't like to say it but if it's a fix if they fix it if if they turn it into some kind of like a wrestling thing

where they rehearse the moves ahead of time and for all the money that anthony joshua is gonna make he might think yeah it's worth i don't think he would personally but maybe he would i mean money talks doesn't it but i got a lot of respect for anthony joshua as a boxer and i don't really believe that he would he would do that i mean it's illegal but technically it's not at the same time because they're not charging for it in a sense you know um but then it's yeah it's

because there's betting isn't there so it has to if the bet if you're betting for something that has to be true isn't it otherwise it can't because you probably can't bet on the the wwe because that's fixed isn't it no don't tell me that i thought it was real did really okay so when vince mcmahon had a fight with donald trump 20 years ago in the ring and he shaved his hair off you think that was real really i used to love wwf when it was wwf i loved it in

late 90s well about 2020 actually i used to watch it live like the weekends it's so funny it's just ridiculous it just it just made me laugh and it'd be on live early hours of the morning and i'd be sitting there with my crumpets with jam and a cup of tea and i'd just be giggling to myself so yeah my answer is um okay let's have a look where's it gonna be because it's based in an american audience but it is the good thing with Netflix is it doesn't matter what

time it's on because you can just watch it the next day anyway jake paul joshua date time december the 9th friday well it'll take i was right i don't normally it's actually the 19th friday the 19th of december 2025 but it's in florida which means it'll be on probably three four o'clock in the morning which isn't great i think what i think what they should have done i realized that i have no control over what happens in boxing but i think atuma really should have tried to get on that undercard

and shown the american audience what he's about and gone up against a top american maybe wilder maybe go took wilder on in one of the undercard fights because that would have introduced america to him because he everyone's saying he's a future of boxing and i believe it from what i've seen he is he's he's special and and then maybe took um dubois out there as well like had a full like a heavyweight show had dubois against another american big american just to show off the british talent that maybe america don't

see but at the same time show the american talent to the british public as well you know i mean it's like but because it's a jake paul show what it will be is i've not looked at the undercard but it's likely to be quite a few females fighting because he's a big advocate of women's boxing so that's one of the good things about what he does the undercard alicia bungardner bungardner anderson silver tyrone woodley okay so that's like a jokey fight well it's not a proper boxing fight um alice it's

a alicia bungardner she's i think she's a world champion um chernika johnson's amanda so that's another female fighter um your caster val against yadira bastillos that could even though i don't know if they're men or women by those names chernika johnson and amanda galaxy that's their well amanda's female names generally keen omari and di diara davis so it's it would have been nice personally would have been nice to see bearing in mind it's a blockbuster night it's going to have the largest possibly the largest boxing audience of all time potentially

i think mike tyson holds that now jake paul and mike tyson on Netflix biggest audience of any boxing fight on tv ever now i don't know if they include playbacks with that which means it's probably played billions of times i don't know if it was or not i just made that up it says here this is msn.com jake paul versus anthony joshua prediction despite this fight haven't this fight haven't been discussed plenty in recent times and blah blah some have commended paul jake paul for his sheer bravery yeah you got

her in it i mean two-time former heavyweight champion of the world who could knock a hole he could knock a hole through a wall he's and he will he will always have the ability for his whole life to to do that probably because he's a big strong man and also he's an olympic gold medalist as well many traditional fight fans are disappointed in joshua for accepting the bout i prefer to see him fight atuma personally that would be a more interesting fight although even now i'd be happy to see anthony

joshua against wilder or anthony joshua against tyson fury those people he never got to fight i'd even be happy to see anthony joshua against there's a few people i'd like to see him against people that he didn't fight because he didn't really fight many british fighters when i think back to it dillian white or other british fighters other than dubois who knocked him out last time has he fought i don't know i mean you can only fight who's in front of you but i just i just can't think hmm but

it would be i mean the tyson it's gonna it's gotta be better than the tyson mike tyson jake paul fight because that was i had to watch it i just couldn't not but it's the same way as you gotta look at the you know you gotta look at the toilet paper before you put it into the toilet it's just like if you're wiping you got you know i mean i don't want to i don't want to pick up vinnie's poo but i have to um you might argue well use a

bag then okay fair enough but i just i think it'll be better it'll be a much better fight with anthony joshua or that i can't see it lasting long i think it'll be a bit of a bit playing around a bit of feeling out and as soon as joshua lands i reckon jake paul will be on his bum like what by that i mean he'll be on the ground he won't be yeah he'll be on the ground so that's what i think so it's the 19th friday the 19th so how

long have we got until that happens why can't i see okay let's have a look at the dates 28 5th okay it's the 22nd tomorrow 29 6 15 so it's no yeah one one two three three weeks today i'm very much looking forward to it i think it'll be fun it'd be a bit of fun and thing is jake paul's funny and in recent years especially with the build-ups and even after fights when joshua had lost to usik he's he's been quite serious which is fair enough i mean this is

his career and this is life but even the build-up to there's two i don't have the two last fights he had but he he was kind of being quite aggressive to like daniel dubois before the fight like you know the sit down bit which isn't normally how he used to be he didn't used to really do that but it's i don't know just it seemed like he's a he's different to how he used to be but then we all change don't we but regardless of what happens on saturday night or

that friday in three weeks he's still going to be down as one of the british heavyweight greats because of what he's accomplished you know he's he won the world heavyweight title twice he pretty much dominated the heavyweight division in in this country and in the world other than the only two people that kind of else that dominated over apart from usik the last few years but over like a six seven year period three people have dominated the heavyweight world there was um what's his name wilder tyson fury and annie joshua

so and neither of neither tyson fury or wilder ended up fine fighting antony joshua and antony joshua had all the belts except one so it kind of it's a shame because that would have been one a heck of a fight if tyson fury and antony joshua had fought uh let's say four years ago five four or five years ago whenever i can't remember what it was but whenever tyson fury beat wilder if it had gone straight into a fight with antony joshua that would have been phenomenal there's no way it

couldn't it would have been it would have been yeah it would have been a phenomenal heavyweight title fight with all the belts and i think it would have been one to remember personally that's just my opinion it's i mean it's no way of known is a i'm going to go to ann next do you follow any other sports beside boxing no i don't know how else to answer that um without no i don't i don't i don't i don't sometimes i will watch a bit of um some yeah sometimes i

watch a bit of snooker because it's it's a very relaxing thing to watch and sometimes when the olymp when the olympics is on but generally i try and go to the boxing but i will watch the like the 200 is it 100 meters one of the good things a lot well the build-up is longer than the actual race isn't it so i quite like watching the final with that just i don't know just something to do isn't it um in the past i've watched the old uh wimbledon final but the

last time i did that was probably andy murray when he won it for the second time uh other sports gymnastics sometimes i watch the gymnastics just in awe of what they can do you know just some of the it's just phenomenal i mean although you know obviously i'm a big boxing fan and it's amazing what they can do what those those gymnasts can do like those flips multi multi flips and i just i'd imagine anthony joshua would have been really good at that he's kind of he's got that powerful body

you can i could almost see him doing gymnastics maybe he did when he was at school i don't know but i think it'd have been good whatever he wanted to do he's he's got you have to have that no one becomes a champion without the mindset just a physical physical ability or they don't hold on to it i don't want to name names but there's probably there's a couple of people that would have become world champion or would have stayed world champion if they'd had the a different mindset i think

they're having a party downstairs i think well the internet's still working so i'm pleased with that i'll be honest with you that really really really got me last night and this morning because i wasn't able to do anything i'm i was meeting my dad at 11 so i'm now getting 23 22 23 megabytes download which is not great but it's still better than like one megabyte and it uploads about five so it's still not what it should be and even down there showing that it's not its full capacity so it's

connected connection secured wi-fi public network recommended metered connection no set a date limit random hardware there needs to be advanced wi-fi network properties edit look for other wireless no i better just not touch anything there okay leave it alone i don't want to mess around with that so yeah i just so that's what i think i don't not really into other sports so much tennis not really that bothered apart from like you know well not for years i used to watch it when i was a kid but wimbledon fight wimbledon

finals about it snooker for relaxation motor racing i can't i just can't i can't i can't get it i can't understand i think the reason probably i don't like it because i don't like speeding every time i go any pretty much every time i go out i see cars speeding don't need a speedometer to see that someone's doing over the speed limit and it's accepted it's illegal but it's accepted and i think most people think it's okay to speed because i think most people probably do it every single day so

you know i can't do anything about it so watching people professionally speeding going 700 miles an hour whatever they're doing i don't i don't know i just i can understand why someone would want to do it if someone loves cars first of all if you love cars you're not going to be able to drive a car like that unless you get on the track because they're not road cars are they but why would you want to watch a car drive being driven this person is just i don't kind of get

it driving the car i get that if you're into cars and you love cars and driving then you'd want to be in the car wouldn't you surely i mean at least when it comes to boxing it's it's safer to watch it on telly than to actually be in the ring being punched in the head you know finney are you gonna leave me alone i don't know what you want he's annoying me i didn't i'll be honest with the mess inc when when i was learning english at school about 50 years

ago the teacher told us that there was a strong sense of class consciousness in england um i'll have a look that up i don't know class consciousness in england i mean if class as in class like a social class because when you said about school when you say class i'm thinking about classrooms a strong sense of class consciousness if you're talking about social class then yeah i'd agree um i think it's changed like i was i was brought up working class my nan and granddad were working class their parents before

them working class and my nan's whole family came from ireland oops um there seems to be a different kind of class now where you've got below working class i'm lower class and because i don't work i can't really call myself working class if i don't work so i'm probably a lower level to that not in a bad way but just like uh when someone says scrounger or whatever you want to call it but but then you've got like middle class and that's where working class perhaps aimed to be so they

might have been raised in a council property which i was to start with i lived in a few different council properties but like my dad he was raised in a council property and then he bought his own house so vinnie was just hassling me then and he said just like go leave me alone please and he lays down like okay so i go to pick him up and he goes through on the way and i kind of stop him i just i'm just holding him he squeals like really high pitched

so i pick him up give him a cuddle and i let him onto the sea and he jumps off go and pick him up again he growls and i said do you want a treat then he jumps off all happy and excited so i don't know he's a wally he's an absolute wally so i guess my dad went from technically he moved from being working class to middle class in a way because he owned a big house um but he was still working so middle class still work but they're i

don't know maybe middle class is more well to do they're doing well themselves they've got high powered jobs maybe um mortgages are paid off by the time they get to 40 or 50 they've got big more big um pensions packages they have nice cars no financial issues uh financially independent maybe that would probably be middle class so my dad wasn't in that category but he was eventually he got to that category but he was working he worked all his life self-employed upper class is would be just people born into it

it's kind of just the upper class would be the the lower class of royalty they'd be the the the friends of royalty a lot of them people that were just born into money or maybe inherited born into a big family a wealthy family inherited stuff you know different things like that i think it's hard to get you can't really become upper class if you weren't born into it just like you can't really you can you can you can marry into royalty i mean megan markle did and so did what's her

name didn't she uh the two princesses married into it but with upper class i suppose you can marry into it if you yeah if you married someone that's the high rest to the biggest landowner in the country and you marry that person then i suppose she's upper class does that make you upper class because you're now married to her i don't know but class consciousness um as far as working class middle class the schools because there used to be a thing called like different kinds of schools private schools would be

more middle class people would send the kids to private schools so all those kids and also there's different levels of private schools so the really top top top private schools would potentially be for the upper class royalty like you know the higher level the middle class may have enough money and be like really doing well and can afford to send their kids to private school but it might not be eaten it might not be you know some really hugely expensive place which is not just expensive but very difficult to get

in you know you might have to donate a few million to a roof tile or something to to get your kid in their new toilet i i wouldn't say that i was conscious because where i lived everyone was pretty much the same i was aware that some kids were better turned out than others some were more there was because the classes were broken up so there was those that were more intelligent or classed as being cleverer than the others and i was friends with mainly the lower what the people that

were in the lower class i was in the bottom middle and then it was because our whole we had a word osprey so o-s-p-r-e-y o was the top y was the bottom i think i was in r so o-s-p so three above me r-e-y two below me so i was like middle bottom apart from maths and i was there wasn't even a letter z there was like it was just a a squiggle that's how low down i was with maths but i i did join the bottom class with maths and

we had a remedial class i guess the dunces class we called it but um yeah i kind of i i related more to them because that's what i'd come from i'd come from living on a rough estate in newcastle to then living in a children's home and then at seven move into a little town which was a nice little town but i the background was not i had a rough background so when i was around i liked being around um well-to-do people and intelligent kids and they would talk to me

some of them but at the same time i could relate to the rough and ready ones as well because that's what i was used to so dysfunctional maybe dysfunctional ones from a social i don't think i really i kind of felt that everyone was sort of in the same bracket really but i'd say that it would be the same if it was a private school everyone would probably feel in the same kind of social class and i've heard that some people that get to go to uh cambridge totally due to

their academic ability and maybe getting a scholarship and they might go there and be around all these really rich kids and struggle to fit in with the other pupils because they've got a different background completely different lifestyle different background and even though they're intelligently intellectually equal or more to their fellow students they don't they've got a different life experience and perhaps they have to work have to have a part-time job to so they've got some spending money while they're at university but possibly a you know 18 19 year old whose

parents are rich perhaps doesn't have to do that so it there's going to be a difference in that situation i'm guessing that usually majority rules doesn't it so most of the people here would probably feel that they're all kind of together but that person that's not like the rest or maybe foreign students that come over and come over to my country so there's quite a few foreign students and maybe they feel a little bit different because the social class is different in china or in parts of africa or wherever around

the world they've come from but unless it's a scholarship i don't know if you can get scholarships from other countries their family are paying a lot of money i think it's like two three times the amount of money for foreign students fees school fees compared to british people british like youngsters they do really they do charge a lot of money so you know i don't know i had to kind of get a grasp of where that was because you because you talked about school then i started thinking classrooms but class

as in like social i think people stay in their lane i think maybe it was a little bit in a weird way like when i was working in sales when i worked at churchill i did have a tendency of hanging out with the successful people sometimes or had it's that commonality because i was quite good at the sales and there was or everyone had their own team so like hanging around with the team members which is kind of normal isn't it it's just familiarity maybe i don't know but then how

aware like my my dad born in north london my nan was born in east london both her parents were irish and i think she moved but east london was they moved from east london anyway to north london but a lot of a lot of east london was really derelict it's really not a good place to live back then unlike now um i don't know what it's like now but i lived there for 12 years yeah they grew up like my dad his brothers his sisters everyone that grew up in enfield

north london they were all the same really they're all kind of from the same background they're pretty much all there was no i don't imagine they even thought about they weren't at school with posh people they didn't class themselves as being common or working class or anything they probably just didn't take any notice of it they didn't know any different i think my dad went to a catholic school and that's all he knew he grew up with that he didn't know any different and he was around all his friends were

around and they went to school and he wasn't seeing rich people as far as i'm aware he wasn't seeing people poorer than him or richer than him it was very much you know the same kind of level of class so in that situation class isn't even an issue i don't think i don't think class is even thought of until the queen's on the telly or the king queen whatever is driving through london or through a town with a i still don't know if it really was really a hand or just

a like a stuffed glove on a stick i don't i don't know if it was really her in there but she came through my town once when i was about about seven or eight and yeah i didn't see any wood which is a bit weird because i didn't expect to say that so what did you remember when you saw the queen when you were seven there was no wood that is yeah i can't think of anything else really to say about that other i can only really talk from my own

perspective and secondly i wouldn't know about i didn't really feel it and i think but i think it's just there you know it's i knew that i wasn't posh and no one i was around was rich some people were i suppose better off than others just standard isn't it but the only person i knew that lived in a big house was this girl that i really liked i i think i loved her and i was probably about 11 11 or 12 and she invited me to a birthday party can i

just add the only birthday party i ever got invited to ever in my childhood she invited me to a birthday party so she liked me too and she lived in a vicarage her dad was a vicar which i didn't know until i got there and i remember she like she she walked into her bedroom and caught me looking through her drawers and she said what are you doing i said don't worry i said she said um there was something i gotta tell you i said what i said look over there

on that wall she said what so it doesn't matter what were you gonna tell me she said i'm moving i said i'll put you i'll put your underwear back she said no not that reason so i'm moving i said why dad's been um moved to a different part of the country and he's gonna be a vicar in scotland or i don't know up north or somewhere i said but i love you i might not have said that but that's i was upset because she was lovely and i think we would

have got married eventually and been together forever but wasn't to be she moved but it felt special because she invited me to a birthday party and genuinely cannot remember going to anyone's birthday party as a kid don't remember ever being ever been invited never had my own birthday party for friends i had birthday parties you know with family but not that i ever had friends come around but i might be wrong there but yeah i loved and i was so upset like why she said but it's like nothing she could

do about it and i think the birthday party was just at the end of the year like um like summer i mean so we were breaking up and i was never gonna see her again and it felt sad because i really really liked her a lot there was another girl i really liked i met her in where did i meet her this is social club that i went to with i was with my dad actually with my dad family we all went to this social club and i got dancing with

a girl i was probably 12 11 12 i got dancing with this girl she was about the same age probably and you know fell in love with her and she gave me her telephone number she gave me her address and she said pick me up on saturday we'll go to the cinema i thought wow true love and we danced like that night it's like it was really amazing i mean one of the best nights ever you know it's like it was romantic so i i said okay i'll come and see

you on saturday i knocked on a door and a dad answered the door what do you want who are you i said i've i've come to pick up felicity who's felicity i realized the wrong door um so i knocked on the right door and her dad came to the door so what so i'm here to pick up your daughter and he just he shut the door on me and i heard a bit of shouting and she came out the front door and we went for a walk and she told me

that her dad said that she wasn't allowed to see me again and i said why she said he said he doesn't doesn't want you me seeing you i said but why she said i don't have an answer now i think i said why too many times because eventually she said look i asked my dad to say that it's an excuse i don't want to see you but i didn't want to just be rude i was going to use my dad as an excuse but you you just won't let up i've

been standing there for four weeks now i'm just i mean they're going to be worried where i am like i just i can't i can't i just you seemed nice on the night but ultimately i got other things i got plans for my life i was like okay could have just said that at the beginning she said i tried to say at the beginning so you didn't you lied to me you said your daddy didn't want you seeing me she said he doesn't so that bit is true as well she

said yeah he like he he likes you less than me i thought that's just rude i said how does he know me he said he was watching you dance with me on that night was it sunday night or whatever i said yeah but i said but i'm a good dancer she laughed she said no you're not you're an awful dancer i said what do you mean she said my dad asked me if you he thought you'd trod on a pin or something the way you were dancing i said i have

you know that's shaken stephens's dance behind a blue green wall whatever it's door green door in that that time of life i used to when i'd mention a singer i'd actually sing a little bit of their song and don't do that so much now to be fair wasn't popular then either hmm i'm gonna have to edit this i'm gonna have to oh another thing oh my podcast apple podcast has decided to for the sleep deeply whatever it's called sleep hypnosis deeply hypnosis for sleeping deeply it is updating but it's not
