Hello and welcome to let me put you to sleep. My name is Jason Newland. Please only listen when you can safely close your eyes.

Don't worry I won't be doing the oh before every sentence. That would annoy moi. So hey, how you doing? Hope you're well.

Today is Saturday the 27th of June 2026. It is 26 minutes past 5pm and it's still warm. Another warm day.

A very warm yeah. I'm hoping I mean it's probably cooler today than it was yesterday but doesn't mean that much when you consider it was how hot it was yesterday. So Vinny's panting a lot so I'm keeping him indoors.

He's been out we went out for a walk this morning about half eight and he needed that anyway because he needed to go toilet and he won't do he won't do a in the garden unless he has to and then later on a couple of hours a few hours ago I took him for a wee wee in the garden and stayed in the garden for about 10 minutes and he just wandered around having a smell around and he came back but it's still a bit uncomfortable for him isn't it Vin?

But you've been a good boy though aren't you? The thing is because I've got all the windows open he's hearing a lot more sounds than he normally does so he's been barking a bit more than usual which sets off the other dog in the garden every time and so Vinny will bark for no 10 seconds if that but the other dog will like bark for a heck of a lot longer in response it's like a contest isn't it Vinny and the other the other doggy is winning winning not winning for us but yeah it's been a bit warm but it does it's feeling a little bit cooler now I've got my t-shirt off sorry to scare everyone it's not a visual you want is it but I got my t-shirt off I've got my nips out and it's which I have done most of the day really because I was wearing a t-shirt a couple of days ago and I took it off and I went back to it I didn't I wasn't didn't wear it for probably most of the day went to put it back on in the evening and it was still damp it almost felt like it'd been it'd come out of the washing machine you know what I mean it's like wow how but yeah not a huge amount to talk about really because I have not really accomplished much much there is a dog in the book in the background I can't close the window it's too hot to close windows as far as the dog barking all I can do is try and kind of talk around it it's a little bit hard and it does put me on edge a little bit because like oh am I even going to be able to finish this sentence before the little doggy starts again um but hey it's just this is how things are at the moment it's all temporary isn't it all temporary luckily Vinny doesn't respond to that dog otherwise that would be a problem because if every time that dog barked Vinny barked then Vinny would be barking constantly all day long and when I say constantly I'm not talking like barking non-stop but stopping and starting all day never knowing when it's going to happen next you know it's it's a little bit like having diarrhea you never really know when the next visit to the toilet is going to occur why do you always have to go down that road about poo and stuff I'm not I'm not I'm just saying as an example you know it's like it's in the same way that it's kind of hard to make a recording not knowing how often I'm going to be disturbed during the recording it's just that unknown kind of knowing it's going to happen but not necessarily knowing when you know so I've got a kind of not necessarily act quickly but there have been times when I've been making a recording and I've brought it to quite a sharp not sharp necessarily but quite a quick ending knowing that it's just going to be more the good thing though it's raining outside now which apart from cooling the air down will also be probably means that the people won't be outside in the garden while it's raining which is a wonderful thing so that's nice oh we had a thunderstorm this morning but very negligible negligible what they call it it was it was but it wasn't if you don't mean it was like a distant thunderstorm I only saw one bit of lightning but I heard the storm for about an hour or if not two hours like coming and it and then I think there was only maybe two loud ones loud thunders so I don't think it actually came over us so it's probably I can't judge distance wise when it comes to thunder I don't know but it wasn't like right above us otherwise we'd have really heard it like a lot louder and Vinny because yeah I woke up at 2 30 this morning I think just to do the heat and noises and so I've got the windows wide open in my bedroom so which I don't normally have I normally have one window on the latch at night so you know can't be open to be outside well I'm upstairs anyway but just so let some air in I don't normally have the windows open wide but I have done the last few nights so with the cummins and going and people you know there's some people motorbikes and stuff locally so I guess there's certain sounds that perhaps I'm not aware of because I'm asleep but I'm waking up and like oh but then it's not often but like as I said the other day probably yesterday that so I'm going to bed early in the evening anyway it's quite a good thing to wake up early because I want to watch the boxing tomorrow morning early hours so I'll be going to bed about eight o'clock tonight and then getting up about 2 2 30 in the morning to watch the boxing in America what was that Vinny so I'm not too bothered I might go to bed at 9 10 11 12 1 2 probably 8 would be better so I'll just take Vinny into the garden to do a wee wee's and then we'll go to bed the thing is a different the difference really recently is like for example last week not not this week just gone but you know maybe seven days ago I would wake up in the morning not at 2 30 but I'd get up anywhere between four and six and I'd get out of bed and come in here and then I'd do a wee wee then I'd go into the kitchen then I'd get a mop and bucket and you know clear up the mess that I made I'd go into the bathroom and do it that day obviously and I'd then take my acid reflux tablets which I take an hour before I eat my breakfast I come in here and I check my stats and then if I'm awake enough which I'm not at 2 30 but if I'm awake enough at like 4 35 whatever I will make a recording I'll make a hypnosis recording because there's no sound outside much other than just the weather maybe the birds but that's it the birds tweeting tweeting tweeting and singing with happiness and glee but generally there's no dogs barking and I'll make a recording I might sometimes make two or sometimes make one have my breakfast and then make another one I have like a little meditation time and then make another recording another hypnosis recording before the the noise starts like probably I mean normally the it start you know the kind of constant barking starts anywhere from eight o'clock onwards really sometimes six o'clock 6 30 but generally like the constant like on and off I think she puts the batteries into the dog about eight o'clock and then the battery start to wear down by about usually by about seven eight nine in the evening sometimes it's still going at 10 but generally you know the batteries are run out so I guess you have to put the batteries on charge the dogs I've maybe just plugged the dog in and yeah for the next day of surprise and delight for all the other neighbors to enjoy so yeah I think that's kind of that's my routine which has been I want to get out of bed Phineas sometimes I look up like oh who are you oh no he's almost like sarcasm he looks up at me like oh my god how much did I drink last night almost like he's woken up with a stranger which is very very sarcastic and rude of him and then he'll plonk his head back down and go to sleep or sometimes he's just fast asleep it does nothing disturbs him but recently he's been getting up out of bed and following me or maybe not as I get out of bed but I'll go into the bathroom and when I come out he's standing there waiting for me and he's even been following me into the kitchen following me into bedrooms following me into the living room into the bathroom sometimes it's like he's sticking sticking to me I mean right now he's underneath the desk with his bum pressed against me and he's just kind of lying down on the floor flat on his tummy and he seems to be sort of sticking to me a bit you know but even just now I went out into the kitchen and I gave him a t-r-e-e-t and he left and then he you know and I opened the door for the kitchen and he went out I did a few couple of things in the kitchen and I came out of the kitchen so I opened the door and he's standing there so the t-r-e-e-t is on the floor he's just sitting there looking at me normally he just goes straight into the living room or the kitchen or the bedroom whichever way we're going so if it's time for bed or I'm gonna have a lie down I say in the bedroom and he goes in the bedroom if I say in the living room like if he goes to go in the bedroom I said in the living room he'll go into the living room and he pushes a door open he was waiting for me so I said all right so I closed the kitchen door I said okay in there in open the door he picks his t-r-e-e-t up and pushes the door open for the to the living room and just carries on what he was doing so I can't figure him out I mean his bag of uh t-r-e-e-t-s got delivered today it's only a small bag and they're these sticks that he loves like sticky stick of chews things and when I got the delivery from Uber Eats it's just a small delivery a couple of milks um what else did I get I mean literally tiny amount of things oh some ice cream that was melted when he got here and a couple of desserts and a bar of chocolate it's the weekend I thought hey you know and so it's been and he's he's sick the main thing I needed was milk and I wanted to get him some t-r-e-e-t-s and the rest was just a couple of little bits of bobs I might have got something else as well but I can't remember what it was but it all came it got delivered in one brown bag and the delivery driver handed it to me so I just took the hold of the top and the whole thing just split open everything fell onto the floor why I don't know why they load the bag so heavy I understand they might load the bags full of light things but to load a bag heavy especially with two big two liter milks plus a few other bits and bobs like yeah so it fell onto the floor and yeah I picked it up that's the whole story really where he the delivery driver helped me pick it up the bag was just it just it just disintegrated in my hands one of the things I quite like doing this this might sound a bit weird but I mean really I should have held it from the bottom that would have made more sense but I didn't expect I just didn't you know once I've ordered something on Uber Eats to be delivered I forget what it is I've ordered I'm not thinking about it like oh I just you know I'm thinking about the delivery person coming and when are they going to be here so that I can ideally get Finny into the bedroom a couple of minutes before they get here and I can be at the door ready to open the door for when they get to the top of the stairs that's that way the delivery driver's not waiting around and also Finny's not barking at someone knocking at the door it's a bit weird sometimes it feels a bit strange when I'm just standing there the app's saying arriving now and I'm standing there at the front door with the light off in the hallway because I'm looking through the peephole if I had the light on you'd be able to see that I was looking through the peephole and I did that once I was it's true wow because there's no light in my hallway there's no natural light in my hallway at all and where the front door is you turn left and there's just another door opposite which is to the storage cupboard and my new neighbor had moved in hence new neighbor I was chatting with someone and I was spying on them I wasn't spying spying but okay I wasn't now I wasn't spying it sounds bad but I thought someone was at my door because Finny barked so I went to look my camera wasn't working or my camera was being charged up so I couldn't look through the camera so I'm looking through have I covered myself here hopefully yeah good I'm looking through the peephole to see who it is and who it is is the neighbor opposite with talking to someone and they both looked at my door and I'm thinking well the camera's not even there the camera was being charged inside here and I realized I left the light on in my hallway so they could see the peephole they could see me looking through the peephole hmm a little bit embarrassing because it was genuine I wasn't like peeping I've actually been I don't know if I should tell you this I've been to a peep show once in Soho I was just intrigued I thought well because it's like a pound or something and these and you can just look through just just look through it's almost like a pair of binoculars you look through and there's something happening the other side of the in this room and I just it felt it's very dirty it's just a dirty room and I just I didn't you know what I mean that's like I didn't know what to do with my hands it was so dirty in there and I don't know but I think I might be the only customer that came out of there and complaining to the manager about the the state of the floor I mean you'd think they'd get carpet cleaners in you know every every day really but I was I just like spent I only spent about 300 pound no I didn't spent a pound which gave me I think probably 20 seconds of nothing literally there was a woman there doing a like what was it um shadow like doing shadow theater on the wall like puppet shadow puppets and stuff like what's the point in that so yeah a bit silly really mind you it was good to see my mum again hi mum I was wondering what he was up to how are you I'm all right dear how are you hmm are you earning a living yeah let's see this you seem to be as well there have a have another have another pound no she wasn't in there she wasn't in the peep show that would be weird I wouldn't even recognize her I know she used to wear glasses and she had dark hair but she's now probably nearly 80 so she well unless she dyes her hair she's gonna have not have dark hair and I mean some people's eyesight with laser treatment it can be wearing glasses a whole life and have laser treatment in old age and have really good vision so maybe she doesn't wear glasses anymore I don't know I can't remember why does she have curly hair because I've got curly hair my dad hasn't my dad's got quite straight hair but I've got curly hair well it's not curly now because there's nothing there but you know if it was to grow or if I was to let it grow to I don't know 10 centimeters but that's a heck I mean 10 centimeters is a lot isn't it it's about three foot in it 10 centimeters but if you got yeah it gets to the point okay this is a better idea when my hair got down to my eyebrows it started going curly at the ends now admittedly it would take longer for my head to arrive at my eyebrows than it used to do when I was younger it's a much longer more exhaustive journey and it's a further distance basically because I don't know for some reason my forehead has grown over the years I didn't have a forehead before there was my hairline and my eyebrows and that was about two inches from them I had a very low hairline and my eyebrows were quite just there wasn't a lot of difference really there was you know there's a little bit of area where I had a forehead but my forehead seems to have grown like considerably grown in height so that journey from my eyebrows to my hairline it's not even as simple as that a map would need to be drawn because I'm not sure if my hairline could be found because honestly I had such a low hairline it was probably the middle of my forehead as my forehead is now and it's just as I've got older and I'm talking over the last 30 40 years it's gradually risen and to the point where it started receding a bit when I was in my late 20s probably just a little bit in my late 20s and then a little bit more in my early 30s and a little bit more a month later and just continued to the point where I mean really my hair is like little islands there now there is definitely a sea has been created between the patches this is patches of hair I don't so much have a bald patch I have patches patches of hair with like an ocean between it is like looking at the planet from space it's not like that at all I don't know why I'm painting such a bad picture of myself I mean there might be someone listening to this thinking it just sounds so lovely I'd love to wake up every day to his squeaky voice good morning dear how are you hi Jason good morning you know when we first got together I used to listen to your podcasts and I used to really think that you had a lovely voice I thought that was your voice normally I didn't realize you were just putting it on yeah I know well no one would listen if I spoke like this all the time would they this is my normal voice and come and give me a kiss yeah that's that's not how I talk will you marry me oh dear by the way if anyone is out there that's mad in love with me just let me know yeah why should I be the last one to know stop talking amongst yourselves just come and tell me let me know so we can I don't know bang knees together or something eat some cheese discuss philosophy this philosophy of farts I don't know knee deep in neediness still remember that I'm pleased with that you know from yesterday knee deep in neediness for those that don't know what I'm talking about why didn't you listen to yesterday's recording you know I was looking at my stats on YouTube and the average it's kind of amazing right so if I look at the average length of my of people that listen to my recordings okay where's the AI there's the AI what's the average length length people listen to to I'm not going to spell correctly people so what's this done correctly the average l-e-n-t-g-h p-o-r-l-p-e so the video long form the average length oh your long form videos have an impressive average duration of over 26 minutes recent trends the overall average view is okay since you're off a long and overnight blah blah blah right average video length is 26 minutes 27 seconds so that's how long people are listening for that wasn't quite as exciting as I thought but it's still okay in it 26 minutes on average so I never I never really agreed with averages and I realize I'm not in a mathematical ability wise to really judge or comment on anything to do with numbers I mean I need an abacus to count to three but I averages don't work for me it's like what's the average earnings in the UK so you've got people that are earning practically nothing to people that are earning millions and that's all put together in one big block and then averaged out so that it's like ends up being like 35 grand a year is the average which it isn't or 45 whatever it is and that that isn't I mean it's yeah it's average but it's not averaged by people it's averaged by the number so if you add up all the money earned yeah 45 grand might be the average but that's not but if you add the amount of people up no no no no no I'd say like I think it makes sense if you go for average just cut off the top ones do it within a certain range so get rid of the millionaires like I'm not not in real life but I mean get rid of the people are earning millions a year get rid of the people are earning maybe three thousand pound a year because maybe they're also on benefits or whatever just focus on people that are on minimum wage which is now twenty thousand I think a year and people that are on don't go above a hundred thousand it's a hundred thousands even now it's still quite a lot of money but it's it's a much higher level of that so between twenty thousand and a hundred thousand a year then see what the average is there and it's going to change it's still going to be higher than what the average really is because the average is I'm not sure if I understand what average means but I do you know it's like if you got a hundred the average is 50 isn't it the average of a hundred is 50 you got zero and you got 50 the average is zero and a hundred the average is 50 because halfway in the middle I think it was if you got like a million pounds and you got to share it amongst 10 people then the average amount being well the exact amount being shared would be a hundred thousand so the average amount being shared out is a hundred thousand but if there's 11 people it would be different oh man I wish I'd listened to school at least one lesson I think I might be one of the only people to have gone through the schooling system in England and learned practically nothing and at the time regardless of how boring it was in high school I found it tediously boring and a waste of time and a lot of the teachers just weren't friendly I didn't realize how fortunate I was to even have a school system I never realized how lucky I was to be born in a country that has a national health service that has freedoms that some other parts of the world do not have to have some of the technology that we have to you know just never I never appreciated it and I probably still don't not because I don't care but it's just I do and I don't you know I do appreciate the NHS the national health service but I'm still going to moan if I have to wait for 11 hours to be seen you know even though I know that there's people that are in more higher demand to be seen than me but I'm still going to moan well the dog started barking there again but she managed to calm it down which is nice it needs a mute button so does Vinny as well blimey mind you so does she I think we all need mute buttons I think that'd be nice I think everyone should be able to mute someone every now and then like once a day for five minutes you know someone's just getting on your nerves just mute them just press the mute button and no one takes offense because everybody can do it for five minutes a month let's say or an hour a month something like that so if you're in a relationship you're in a friendship it's just a contractual thing so everyone's allowed to mute another person for five minutes a month you know so not a long time because you know so no one can take advantage of it and let's face it I think the whole my whole town would have me on mute I think half the world would probably be sent pressing the mute button so that didn't make many more recordings won't stop me I know a way around it I know a way around it although I would sound a bit robotic but I could still do it I could still make podcasts even if I didn't have my voice but it wouldn't it sound like me I've cloned my voice by the way it would sound like me but it wouldn't sound the same because the way I talk is not the way AI talks so if I was to lose my voice or whatever for whatever reason I could write down what I wanted to say and then get the AI to create it with my cloned voice which is built upon hundreds of recordings of mine but I don't use it because it's expensive it's 11 labs it's called and it's so expensive I just can't can't use it but it will probably get cheaper as time goes by and I mean technically I could probably use it to make hypnosis recordings but I find that recording myself making the recordings myself really relaxes me and it also it sets me up it kind of it's almost like it's going in as I'm saying it myself and I don't think that AI can necessarily can't I think you can recreate that energy that I have I mean you might think well what do you mean energy you're practically asleep when you're remaking those recordings there is no energy there is there's a very mild gentle I like to think of it as healing kind of energy very peaceful and calm I nearly said seductive then and I don't know why because that's not the right word sensual moist no neither of those words are correct but you know what I mean like this very calm and peaceful and I like that feeling that's the kind of feeling that I like I like to experience feeling calm and relaxed and I had to learn how to do that 20 wow 25 years ago whatever it was I had to start learning well before that but really started having panic attacks in November 2002 and I had to learn how to relax in a different way to what I'd done before so learning meditation making hypnosis recordings for myself long before I made them for the internet just finding a way to let your mind relax and slow down and I just think it's so valuable I really do I mean I listen to my own recordings because I find that they really work and I was literally I was listening to one of my recordings the it's the um fall asleep or get your money back and I like that this makes me giggle that title okay here we go and that's me giggling did I ever tell you how Freddy used to giggle like this honestly like almost like he was farting out of his mouth like uh it's I don't know it's a weird one so yeah I I like listening to my recordings I mean I don't get a lot of a lot of traction on YouTube but you know I get three to four thousand listens a month so that's all right it'll grow it all grows um YouTube is suggesting my recordings so that's good and you know just gradually it might take another 10 years before the YouTube channel is doing well I don't know I'll only be 65 not like I'll be old is it 65 65 no yeah 65 I must admit I preferred being in my 40s if I had to really press myself for some kind of honesty 44 44 that was a good year not good it was a difficult year but it was a it was a year of kind of kind of recovery a year of making some changes it was the year before moving in here so in some ways it wasn't a good year but in other ways it was it was a good year if that makes any sense I remember I was in this cafe place and I was telling the waitress it was my birthday I was in there on my 44th birthday and she said her age and I said oh quite a bit old didn't you she said no 44 is a lovely age and this is someone that I was absolutely in love with loved her I loved I loved her but I could never bring myself to I just just couldn't bring myself to sort of ask her out or anything like that just it was it is it's hard when someone's at work it's very I don't want to make it awkward for someone you know you should be able to do your job without having people pestering you for you know for dates and stuff but at the same time it's the only place I saw her I didn't see her any other time perhaps I should have just given a note a note sort of stick a little poem or something I love you yes I do I hope you know it's true now I want to go and do a poo I don't know something something romantic like that roses are red violets are blue you've got big no um it's I don't know because one person's romance is another person's ick now we didn't used to have the word ick that's not my terminology but it's it's now uh it's I do find it funny like I do go on tiktok I find it very entertaining and psychologically educational listening to people on there when they're doing a live talking about stuff and moaning especially some sort of um people moaning oh this man came up to me and he was chatting me up and I can't believe he was in his 30s he's in his 40s he's an old man or I had this man come up to me and he he said the wrong word not like a bad word just like he said don't you fancy linking up sometime linking up I'm not five so I'd honestly I just like it amazes me what I see and I think what it is is I'm very interested in what what people are thinking and I don't think in I'm no I'm never going to see what someone's really thinking probably and because I'm seeming to be the only person on the planet that can't mind read apparently um I discovered that a few years ago everyone can mind read everyone knows what each other are thinking the amount of times I've heard people say to me I can read you like a book like yeah okay that's nice now can you put my head down this is like just weird so that's why I think I made quite a good counselor because I wasn't going in as an expert I wasn't diagnosing which we weren't supposed to be doing anyway but I wasn't mr wisdom I wasn't there to give advice what if they asked me something I'd kind of give my take on it maybe but I didn't go on I didn't go into the session as a counselor looking at the client opposite me thinking to myself that I understood what they were thinking or I understood what they meant by the words they were using because I didn't so I mean if they said hello I understood they meant hello I wasn't like what do you mean by hello perhaps we could just focus on that for the next sixth week you know just on your greeting there might be something there for you I can unpack it no I don't mean that but I I went in with the reality that I did not both I did not know what they were thinking and I didn't think that I knew what they were thinking I didn't assume so I asked what they meant by certain things and the amount of times that what they meant did not correlate with what was obvious I found quite interesting because I think if you go in with that like genuine risk a genuine interest in what the person is trying to explain rather than thinking about what you're going to say to them next because you've all you're sort of solving the problem in your mind while they're talking so what I did was I would ask them to explain and I'd explain to them as well that I didn't know what they're thinking I couldn't read their mind and I've not come in assuming you know or reading into things what they're saying reading things into what they're saying I'll actually ask them to explain it in a way that I can understand it and maybe doing that they'll also explain it in a way that they may understand it differently sort of looking at it from a different perspective maybe from a dunce's perspective which is mine but sometimes that's what you need to look at from a very simplistic almost you know with ChatGPT you could say explain it like I'm a five-year-old but actually that can be good or like a 10-year-old I mean I don't know five-year-old they'll be like I need to go google because can five-year-olds talk I don't know but 10-year-olds can talk can't they so explain it like a 10-year-old and when I say I don't mean like yes and then a train came along a choo-choo train I don't mean like that but by breaking it down it made it a bit more easily more easily accessible emotionally or maybe even able to talk about it something that's very emotional without actually getting into the emotions perhaps not that that was the reason but to see things differently from a different perspective because sometimes I think counseling can be that it's like they're talking to you and you're almost like feeding it back to them but from your perspective how you're perceiving it and then they're seeing how you perceive them and seeing themselves differently and maybe some bits are starting to make a bit more sense but I saved time I just held a mirror up so they're just talking to the mirror I didn't do that don't know why I said it although I do have some pretty good hypnotic techniques including that actually involve mirrors I do yeah so I feel like I feel I want to write a book one day all the things that I've learned one of the things I learned and I learned this I didn't realize I'd learned it because it used to frustrate me but when I was when I left school I noticed that when I was at school employers but whether it was the bakery I worked in you know delivering leaflets delivering papers washing up whatever I was doing cleaning jobs I was always treated with respect but then I left school and for some reason that respect seemed to go it's like I was I wasn't treated with the same respect I was treated with when I was a kid that might have been because of my dad because everyone knew my dad in the town it may be they just because I was a kid they I don't know they might have just thought that it because my dad was an electrician so they might have thought he'd cut off their electricity or something if they were rude to me but I wouldn't have told my dad anyway I don't know what it was but for some reason leaving school it seemed to cause people just I don't know anyway what I'm trying to say is what I'm trying to say is what I'm trying to say is is you I used to get people ask me questions that didn't have the answer to and there's no reason why I should have the answer to the questions and when I instead of making stuff up which seemed to be the way that most people seemed to do it like they'd black it or they'd remove themselves from the situation or they'd pass the buck now I would just be honest and say I don't know if I knew the answer to the question I'd say I'd give them the answer if I didn't know the answer to the question I'd say I don't know I learned later on to approach it differently if at all possible I would say I don't know but I'll try and find out for you and you know hopefully it'll be someone I could ask so let's say if it was a customer asking a I don't have the answer to that but I will find out the answer for you you know from my supervisor so that's something I learned through working but it took decades to get there maybe not decades but probably by the late 90s early 2000s I was kind of around there mid 2000s but it was a while it definitely wasn't when I left school and I realized that everybody seemed to think they expected me to know the answers to things and so almost I've noticed as I got older that I want to say everybody I'm just talking about people that I meet you know and I don't mean everybody really but it just seems that a lot of people appear to believe that they know everything and I'm the first to admit that I know practically nothing I'm not an expert on anything you know I know a heck of a lot less than there is to know which is the same for every human being on the planet but I'll admit to it I'm no expert on anything and I don't want to be either not really because if I think in some ways if you're an expert it's almost like you've stopped learning and you can never stop learning there's always something new there's always something something new to learn I learned today about a Chinese desert which was turned into a field from sand into an actual field with millions of trees and where was I that dog was barking um oh yeah this monkey no it wasn't a monkey field it was a rabbit field so basically they started planting these trees that can grow in the desert then they were doing different things to try and like change the sand and stuff and this is a very very short version of a like a 45-minute documentary and it took years and they did this over decades but what they did is they then introduced rabbits and the rabbits were eating these trees they're eating the leaves of the trees and then they were using the compost or the manure from the rabbits to turn the sand into what to grow a layer of soil above the sand which then helped to grow the trees so the rabbits were eating the leaves of the trees the trees were still growing and they kept planting more and more and more so there's millions of these trees and they put in like one and a half million rabbits or something over a period of time and of course that I mean I guess they were because rabbits quite um sensual beings aren't they they're very very they like to have fun with each other so they reproduce quite a lot and it became a flourishing field so it helped to reduce the sand storms that China were having and it it helped the air quality and gave more land and grew kelp to grow stuff in the area that was barren but the side effect of it what it what they sort of he this this man went into it quite deeply they said what they don't tell you they tell it's all the exciting things they tell you about you know putting one one and a half million rabbits into the desert and suddenly it turns into a a field which is not what happened there's a lot involved but it took a lot of water it took like three times the amount of water to keep it going so that's why I'm thinking we need to move the water from the Antarctic start building like rivers to go go through so they can start being used in deserts and stuff you know because the deserts in Dubai they use huge amounts of water and Texas is it Texas Las Vegas all that stuff huge amounts of water but then seawater can be turned into drinking water why are we not spending more time doing that like when I say we I don't mean me but you can turn seawater you can even you can even turn now you might think well he keeps talking about poo but this is true Bill Gates paid for a machine to be made to be invented and it's a big old thing it was so I don't know how big his poos are but I wonder if it was his own poo but anyway he drank water that was created from poo this is I'm not joking this is a real thing and I think if I had to drink water created from poo I'd want it to be my own poo I don't want to drink water created from poo but I think it'd have to be my own poo you know there's a line I think drinking water made from poo is a line already crossed but there's a line isn't there gotta be my own and he was saying oh it's brilliant because this could I mean technically it could change the world yet he went to the end so he came from the other end so I'm thinking maybe it was his poo because he was sure he was doing his belt up so he's walking up to the tap bit so he was drinking water out of the thing and he was drinking it but he didn't look happy drinking it but yeah that's amazing there's some of the things that can be done you think all the water in the ocean obviously you can't turn it all we need the water in the ocean don't we but it's like phenomenal can you imagine if the whole world just decided like you know what this is what we're going to do now we're going to focus on making sure that everyone in the water no matter what it takes and spend all of the money that we would normally spend on other things that don't help people we could change the whole world could change in a couple of years wow don't you think anyway that's what I'm going to do when I'm president of the world well I'm going to go now because the noisy garden is becoming noisier so remember to be kind to yourself because you do deserve to be happy and be gentle with yourself you deserve to feel safe lots of love bye
