And welcome to Whisper Wednesday. Whisper Wednesday. This is Let Me Pull You To Sleep, Wednesday the 17th of June 2026 and my name is Jason Newland.

So I'm going to do something very different today. Firstly, I'm not going to edit any of the background sounds out, including dogs barking. I just want you to hear what it's like for me to try and make recordings during the day.

So what you can do is include all of the background sounds to allow you to relax. Now I don't have the window open, but you might still be able to hear voices in the garden. The shouty people, the shouty talky people are out there.

They don't know how to talk at a normal level. I will edit out if I cough or sneeze or fart or anything, I will edit that out. But I want to keep everything else in.

And also I'm going to go through the editing or the processing part of making a recording. Actually, I can't do that because I'm actually using... Yeah, that didn't work, did it? I was going to do that, but I don't think, I don't know if it's still going to work. It can't work because I'm using the... Oh, blimmin' heck.

Oh, well. So that didn't go to plan, did it? I was going to go through the process of what I do in order to, you know, once I've actually recorded an episode, going through the editing process and then making the six versions and then uploading the six versions and then making a image and then, you know, all the other stuff, the processing, uploading it, promoting it. Just give you an idea of the time it takes.

But I can't do that because I'm actually using the app that I'm using. What's this news bulletin? He is now legally Nicolas Cage. The actor leaves the Coppola name behind.

Is that supposed to be news? So, it's warm today. It's very warm. Like, warm, warm, warm, warm, and it's getting warmer.

In fact, I feel I might need to take my top off. I'm a little bit worried because I don't want to get everyone too excited, you know. So, I don't know if you can hear that in the garden.

It's quite clear. That's all I hear is wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow. I do, I know that I like ramble on every day.

But I do know what, I do wonder what do they think to talk about. I do, you know, I do hear repetition quite a lot. But I do hear repetition repeatedly.

You didn't need to say it twice. I know. By the way, if you have any questions for Q&A Friday, please let me know.

A good way to get me a question is on my website, JasonNewland.com. Just go to the, you can send a message on there, contact, just click on contact. Or you can go to my Facebook group, which is Jason Newland's Boring Group. Or you can post a message on one of the videos on YouTube.

I also post my recordings on Instagram, TikTok, and X. And if I haven't already said it, please only listen when you can safely close your eyes. Yeah. So look, okay, so I've got to breathe this bit out because it's caught my eye.

Conor McGregor explains why Terence Crawford rejected a 200 million pound fight. Here we go. Because we know how reliable we are.

Well, the news is Conor McGregor claims that Terence Crawford rejected a 200 million two fight deal because he didn't want to be kicked in the face. That's fair enough, isn't it? I mean, why would you want to be kicked in the face? Terence Crawford is one of the great boxers of our era, pound for pound, unbeaten, retired, multi-weight world champion. He's retired now, but he's not a UFC fighter.

So UFC fighter, even someone who's not like a former world champion, may well have a big advantage over Terence Crawford. Although Terence Crawford does have a wrestling background, and he does like to wrestle people for fun. But why would you get it? Why would you get into the ring with someone that can use elbows and knees and stuff like that? No.

Plus, if he wanted a huge fight with huge amounts of money, he could come back into boxing and fight someone. One of the big names, like David Fenipedez, he could fight. Or, you know, or a rematch with Canelo.

So why not? He's not doing that. He doesn't want to. So there.

Why do you want to? Oh, he won't do it because he doesn't want to get kicked in the face. Who wants to get kicked in the face? I don't see the point in a crossover with a boxer going into the USA, FEC ring, like MMA. MMA going into the boxing ring, yeah, makes sense.

Especially if they're like kickboxers and stuff. But then if McGregor went into the ring with Terence Crawford, McGregor wouldn't, he wouldn't stand a chance at all. It would be embarrassing for him.

I think Mayweather just gave him a few rounds because they were getting paid so much money. But I think Mayweather could have put him on the canvas very early if he wanted to. Back in 10 years ago now, isn't it nearly? Is it 2016? I think it was.

So, yeah, I'm glad I don't want to see Terence Crawford go into the UFC, Octagon, and get hurt. But I don't mind McGregor going into the ring and boxing because he has a chance. He's always got a chance because he is a tough and talented fighter, but probably not a chance to win a world title unless he's stuck at it.

But then he's getting on now, isn't he? He's got to be late 30s, I suppose. If it had gone into boxing, I reckon if McGregor, Conor McGregor, instead of being MMA, had gone into boxing, you know, at an early age, he would have gone on to be a world champion. If he kind of, you know, stuck to training and all that stuff.

But he didn't. So he didn't. Vinny, can you make a bit more noise, please? Thanks.

Oh, a BBC cut short a tennis interview after a tennis star swears seven times. Seven times during an interview. I don't believe, live on air as well.

I tell you, it amazes me how weird they can be with swearing on TV. Like they'll show violence and they'll show such horrible things in documentaries and dramas. But if someone says a naughty word in an interview live, oh no, you're not allowed to say bum.

It's very strange. Apparently Tom Holland's named the actor he wants to succeed him as Spider-Man. Who is that? Owen Cooper would be awesome.

He's said of the 16 year old star of Netflix hit miniseries Adolescent. How old is Tom Holland? He's 30 now. Wow.

That's one of my only claims to fame is that I know Spider-Man. Well, I used to know Spider-Man's dad. So Tom Holland's dad is someone called Dominic Holland, a comedian.

And I knew him like from the early 90s when he just started out. He was, I think he was still at university and he's doing comedy part time. And he was really good straight away.

He's a great writer and lovely bloke, very short. It's not often that I get to meet someone that's actually shorter than me. So it was nice, but he's really friendly bloke.

It's weird. And he didn't have any kids at that point. Now he's got a 30 year old son who actually is also Spider-Man.

Weird how the world works now. Apparently Spider-Man got married to Zendaya. I don't know if that's how you say the name.

Zendia, Zendia, Zendaya, Zendaya. He plans to quit acting when he starts a family. I mean, I wonder what he'll do though.

He's probably got a few pop in the bank now, hasn't he? I mean, he's at his peak of fame. If he starts a family, he could do like one film a year or something just for a few million. And keep his head above water, you know, financially.

I wonder how much he's got. How much is he worth? Okay, net worth. Okay, Spider-Man's net worth as of 2026 is estimated to be worth about 25 million.

So that's a nice amount, isn't it? What about Zendya? Zendya, she's worth about 40 million. Wow, so she's worth more than he is. I don't know, I know she does modeling as well apparently.

And a singer, I didn't know she sung. And a producer. I have no idea.

But this is guessing, isn't it? I mean, the internet does not have access to their bank accounts. So no one really knows. And also, I think people that are rich, don't they invest in like stocks and shares and properties and stuff like that.

So I don't do that, of course. I just like to have the millions in the bank. So I can just have a look at it and say, oh, that's nice.

I've got 232 pounds. Yeah, yeah, it's nice to know I'm rich for a few days. 40 million.

Yeah. I think that'd be nice little nest egg, wouldn't it? Nice little nest egg, that would do me. So I have, as always, been working on the old podcasts.

I did a new recording this morning, but I can't upload it because or can I upload it? Let's have a look. Would it let me upload it? I want to see, add episode, upload. I want to see if it's going to allow it.

Allow it. Yeah. There's a dog.

This is just a standard day. It's amazing that just one person living in a big block can create so much noise. But everybody else, no one else comes out of the building other than when they leave.

But in the past, wow, we've had some weird stuff happen in the past. There was one bloke and he liked to take pills. I'm not talking about the alcohol pills.

But he would literally, he had a tiny little bit of grass to look after. He would spend all day mowing it. Like all day, stopping and starting, stopping and starting, going to sleep, starting and starting, stopping and starting.

Can you hear that? See if I had somewhere that was quiet. I could get so much more done. What can you do? I'm lucky that my neighbors downstairs are very quiet.

Everyone in this building, my building's quiet. People don't even slam the doors anymore. But this is without the window open and I need the window open because it's hot in here.

It's hot outside. Someone help me. There was a time when we used to, well, me and my friend downstairs used to sit in the garden and chat in the summer.

And then before you knew it, it'd be like three or four people from other buildings around just suddenly arrive, drinking and arguing and doing all kinds of weird stuff. So I'd just end up coming back here and there'd be shouting in the garden for hours. Oh, we had one bloke that lived over there, over the fence, and he used to have a delivery of pallets.

I think they might have been broken pallets or old pallets, but he got a delivery of pallets every week. From a lorry, and then he'd proceed all day, every day to smash the pallets up. I say all day, every day, but for hours and hours, smashing the pallets up with, I don't know, a hammer or, I don't know.

I don't really know what he was using, actually. A mallet, probably wasn't a spoon. An axe, maybe.

Anyway, he was smashing the pallets up, wooden pallets. And then in the evening, he'd make a bonfire, which would just stink out the whole area. So this was during the summer.

Couldn't have the windows open because it was so noisy. And then couldn't open the windows in the evening because of all the smoke. Just one person causing that much hassle for a bunch of other people through, well, lack of consideration.

That's why I try to be considerate. I'm not saying I always succeed, but I try. I was amazed, oh, some of the things I've heard and seen, you wouldn't believe, since I've lived here.

But hey, I'm trying to think, oh, there was a lady who lived over there. She's not there anymore. She used to come into the garden and just start screaming and shouting like she was talking to someone.

Not really arguing with nobody. And I didn't know what to do. I mean, I just, what can you do? I mean, I think someone told me that she was under care and she had visitors help her and stuff.

But I don't know if they're invisible or not, but she is. Yeah, she left in the end. Another person, there's a couple living over there.

And the girlfriend was out the front, lying in the road. So, you know, the neighbors went and got her out of the road, what's going on. And eventually she came in and she said to my friend downstairs, can I come into yours? Can I stay? Can I stay with you tonight? And he said, no.

Now, while this was happening, her boyfriend was over the flat in their flat over the fence, completely destroying the insides of the flat. Very, very unusual behavior. They moved out as well.

I don't know if they moved out or were politely asked to leave. And then we had, we had a couple of neighbors that just kept arguing all the time over the fence. It's always been over the fence, generally, a lot of it.

And they would literally be arguing with each other, and I don't know what it was over. And they kept calling the police on each other and it was just silly. In the end, one moved out and the other one got kicked out.

The one that got kicked out got kicked out because he attacked my friend upstairs above him with a bit of wood. See that? This is like a social experiment to let you hear what I hear. I feel like I should open the window just so you can get a better listen.

I know it might sound strange when I'm lying down in bed, apart from shouting like that. I don't, I don't mind a bit of sound, a bit of talking. Trains going past, well they don't go past in the garden, but they're further up on the railway track.

Planes, just doors opening and stuff, that, the birds singing. I don't care about that. I don't care about that.

Like shouting's different obviously because that's, that's startling. And Vinny is, I don't know if you can hear him, underneath the desk. Oh, it sounds like one's leaving.

Oh, don't leave. We were all enjoying it so much. I'm gonna miss you.

I miss you already. It's that volume control. I suppose in a way, this is like an ASMR in the sense of all the different sounds.

The sound of a little jack Russell wandering around, chewing on things, drinking his water. I took him out earlier for the first walk of the day. We were out for just over an hour.

So I took him to the park like normal, had a chat with a lady, and then walked on and had a chat with another lady that, who's got a dog that he's friends with. And we walk around the block and she says, I'm going around that way. Do you want to come? I said, okay.

So she meant, do you want to walk around with me? And I said, nevermind. So I followed her. I didn't follow her, I went with her.

And we met up with another person who's friends, he's friends with, it was lovely. So it was three dogs and two dogs were with Vinny and he was friendly. He likes both of them a lot and he seemed so happy just to be with them, you know? And I ended up, you know, being out for an hour.

And when I first went out, it was quite cool, quite a little bit breezy, wasn't warm. And I was a little bit internally sarcastic like, oh, what is the day of the year, is it? Oh, 39 degrees, is it? Now I'm thinking, it probably is really hot out there now. What is the day of the year, is it? It might well be, I mean, apparently we've got some yellow warning, which, what's it, orange warning, yellow warning, I think that's for hot, isn't it? So for the next couple of days, it potentially can be very, very hot.

Oh, so yeah, I did a recording this morning. It was for the breaking free from controller manipulation called Calming the Nervous System, according to my list. Calming, it's number 27.

So I've done 27 recordings of that podcast, which is pretty good. I'm a little confused though, it's a 27 to 26. I think it's farted, 26 divided by, no, wait a minute.

So far it's 163 episodes, 163 divided by 26 equals 6.29. Okay, 163 divided by 27 equals 6. So there must be, how do I work it out? 163, okay, right, that's an easier way, isn't it? Six times by 27. Okay, so it's actually my 28th recording today. I can't remember how I ended up, I got a little bit out of sync near the beginning, but today was my 28th recording on the breaking free from control and manipulation.

So, and so far I've had 109 total downloads from that podcast. So it's gradually growing, you know, bit by bit, little by little, a little by little, little, little, little. Did I do Monday's boring objects 15? Yeah, okay.

Yesterday I did trivia Tuesday and I got a little bit off topic, which I'll probably imagine I sometimes do, not often, but occasionally. And it was supposed to be foods that used to be medicine. And I thought there'd be some funny stuff there, but there really wasn't.

It was just almost sort of organic stuff that people still use. It's like garlic and clothes and prune juice and stuff like that, you know, I think the prune juice is to make yourself constipated, something like that. And I was a little bit, you know, I thought there'd be some really unusual stuff.

I wonder if I've had any listens to my latest recording that I uploaded onto TikTok this morning. Nothing yet. It's weird.

Sometimes I'll get like hundreds in the first hour. And sometimes it takes ages. So yesterday I had 357 of the one I uploaded.

The day before 237, 202, the day before 236, the day before 285. Then a few days earlier, 589, 669. It just depends.

My followers have gone down by one. Why? You know what? I wonder, I wonder, wonder, wonder how is the social media going to change once the rule comes in, in spring next year, where only people over the age of 16 are allowed to visit YouTube and Facebook and Instagram and whatever, all the apps. I mean, I don't think it's going to affect me at all because most of the people that watch my stuff, like I listen to my stuff on YouTube now, the majority, and also on Apple podcasts and mostly people sort of older than that age group.

But on, on TikTok, I have, let's have a look at the stats, the TikTok studio, look at the analytics. So the last seven days, last seven days, this is 1,729 viewers, 81% female. Does it say age? Yeah, it does say age, right? Everyone's above 16.

So 18 to 24 is 54%, 25 to 34 is 23%, 35 to 44, 9.5%. The 45 to 54, oh, it's a dog, listen. This is what I normally edit out. The thing is, Finny, my Finny is way louder and high pitched.

It's very good though, because a few weeks ago, Finny would react to that dog and it'd start barking, but now nothing. I don't know why he said, you know, when he said he'd react, it'd start barking. What else is he going to do? Start dancing, start making food.

Every time he listens to the dog, he decides to go and bake a cake. No, he barks. He did bark.

Even the dog over the other side, when that barked and they both barked at each other, Finny used to bark, but now he doesn't. Unless it sounds like a lot going on, then he will. But the dog over the fence is barking less now than it used to.

And it doesn't bark for as long, because the owner's now telling the dog to stop barking. He didn't used to do that. So it's, you know, learning to not do it continuously.

Like Finny will bark, but he'll do it for a few seconds, because I'll stop him very quickly. Because you see, it's so loud. It's so high pitched.

You can probably hear it in a different town. So that's one of the reasons I like TikTok, is because I'm reaching an audience that I don't seem to reach in any other way. So on YouTube, my audience age range is a little bit big.

Um, YouTube Studios, have a look, analytics. Is it analytics or analytics? I don't care. Audience, that's it, click, click, click, click audience.

Regular viewers. So watch behavior, only 4.1% of people that watch my stuff are new, are regulars. 4.1%. Casual viewers, 8.2%. New viewers, 87.7%. That's not great, is it? That's the last 28 days.

Blimey. It's just me. But then it's got watch time from subscribers.

Non-subscribers, 36.3%. Subscribed, 63.6%. So people visit, but it's the subscribe people that stay and listen. They take up 63.6% of the watch time. Okay, so age.

On YouTube, it's mainly male, compared to with TikToks, mainly females. So 73.6% are male. On YouTube, 26.5% are female.

And the age group is, actually, it's not that different. The main age group is 25 to 34. Thanks, Vinny.

I've never seen him flip his ears before. Flapped his ears while his head was still on the floor. It was weird to watch.

Yeah, 25 to 34 is 48.1% of the audience. And then 35 to 44 years old, 16.3%. And third is 45 to 54 years old, 10.8%. 65 plus, 10.6%. And then 18 to 24 years was 9%. And 55 to 64, 5%.

So I'm not as popular. Well, I don't have anyone between the ages of 13 and 17. 18 to 24 is 9% compared to TikTok, which was a lot higher.

25 to 34, isn't that similar, isn't it? No, 18 to 24 was 54% on TikTok. 23% was 25 to 34. So it's just different.

And the age, the sex is also different. Or gender, 12% male, female, 81%, and other 7%. I do find it kind of interesting.

I mean, I wonder if I just change it to the last seven days to see if I look at the audience the last seven days. Okay, new viewers, 87.7%. No, it's not. It's only given me the monthly.

Okay. Okay. New viewers who returned low.

That's not good. Okay. Watch time 56.3% subscribed, 43.7% unsubscribed.

In the last seven days, it's been 50-50 male and female. Wow. And the age groups changed 25 to 34, 33%.

34.7% 65 plus years, and 32% 55 to 64. See the doggy, dog's going. If I look at the last year, this, why is it? That's weird.

The last year, that's what I want. 63.7% subscribed, not subscribed, 36.3%. So the views for 2026, female 47.9%, male 52.1%. And 35.7% is 35 to 44 years. Okay.

And 18 to 24 was 1.9%. 25 to 34, 19%. So it looks at just changing depending, I guess. I mean, maybe because of TikTok, I've got more people visiting YouTube now than I did before.

Like people, like more, maybe younger people. It's possible. And I want to reach all audiences of all ages, of all countries.

So just, I mean, United States is always the top. 34.7% of views on YouTube over the last June this year, not during the lifetime of the YouTube channel has been American and 9.5% UK. Oh, that's interesting.

Male is 59.2%, 38.9% female. This is over the entire lifespan of the YouTube channel. 25 to 34 years.

It's 31.2%. Okie doke. So I guess it's just always changing. Always changing.

If I go for the last 28 days, come on. Why is it taking so long? United States, 36%. United Kingdom, 5.5%. India, 5.8%. Germany, 1.3%. If you're listening in India or Germany or Japan, I mean, it's okay.

I've got 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 8 different countries. That's statistically for the last month on here. The US, India, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, Canada, and Australia.

Very few in. See, that doesn't add up to the amount of people that listen though. There's two flyers in there that keep hassling me.

So it works out views, watch time, average view duration, 27 minutes and 33 seconds. That is high. That's a high amount of view time, average view duration, and 1,669.6 watch time hours in the last month.

That's strange that is. If I go back, because that's throwing me right off. What are you doing? Okay.

Monthly audience, 1.8%. No, 1.8 thousand. I don't know. I thought I had to.

So why is he saying that analytics? It says 1.3, 3.7 thousand views, 1.7 thousand watch hours, 19 subscribers added on. So why is he saying that I've got less? Oh, got you. Right.

So I have, I've realized what I've looked at. So I've got 3,700 views of my YouTube content, but the actual audience is 1.8 thousand. So it's 1,800 people, different people that have come onto the channel.

Between I've watched 3,700 views. Yeah. What is that though? 1.7, 1.7, 1.7, 1,700 divided by 24.

So literally if you wanted to watch my videos are basically, it's 24 hours a day for 70 days. That's a lot of viewing time, isn't it? That is actually. So if you divided that by, times that by three, because, okay.

Right. So you've got 1,700. Divide that by, because it's going to be eight, eight hours a day.

You're not going to want, well, why would you want to watch for more than an hour, but eight hours a day, it would take you 212 days, eight hours a day to watch that amount of content. I've never felt so proud of myself. Oh dear.

Oh dear. 3,700 views. 1.7 thousand.

I'll tell you what I'm looking forward to. That is something that happens with YouTube and it comes out of the blue and it happens for most people who refuse to quit. If you just continue to make recordings, now I'm not doing it for that reason, but if you have consistency, eventually, I know I'm going to wake up and my stats will be way more than normal.

And suddenly I'll start getting more subscribers and almost be like, what's going on? And it's simply because YouTube decides to start promoting my channel, promoting my recordings. And when that happens, the main thing I need to do is other than let some poppers off and celebrate by poppers, I mean, you know, things that go bang with a little string and you do it into the air. That's what I mean.

And, you know, blow up a few balloons and eat some sausage rolls. Other than that, what I need to do is not change anything. Leave everything on YouTube as it is and just continue doing what I'm doing.

And then it will continue to grow. In the past, I've had a few of those small moments with this channel. And what do I do? I start making changes.

And things go back to how they were. So I remember when this happened back with my original YouTube channel, and it was about 2011. And.

Well, 2010, I was getting more, but 2011 was the big one and. Everything, you know, just everything was growing, the audience was growing, the subscribers every day, more and more and more and more. And each video was getting.

Like really good amounts of audience. Views and comments as well. And it just kept growing and growing and growing every month it was growing.

Then I deleted it. Because that's how I'm built. Self-sabotage.

Well. So, yeah, it was going really well. It's going really well.

And if I'd kept that YouTube channel. Because I got rid of it, I think 2013, maybe 2014. And then I started doing.

I opened up another YouTube channel, I think the next year. And nothing really happened with that. I think I got rid of that one.

And then I tried to get back the original YouTube channel, but they wouldn't do it. It was gone. Plus, there was hundreds of videos on there.

As you can imagine, I've had it since 2007. And then I opened this channel. I don't quite know when it was.

I can probably tell you it was 15th of March, 2018, which is around the time that I started doing the let me put you to sleep podcasts. And I've got 3,198 videos. So, I mean, technically, you know, it's eight years.

But I haven't really given a lot of attention to the YouTube channel. I mean, for quite a while, I've just slowly been updating, like from my podcast, it automatically goes to YouTube when I upload my stuff to my podcast. And the views are gradually going up.

And because there's so many recordings, it's a very slow process. But what I do, I do have is a thing called, they call it evergreen content, which in internet terms basically means content that is still usable. I was going to say fresh.

I don't know if I've ever done anything that's fresh. But stuff that people can listen to, even in 10 years time. It's not, it doesn't get out of date.

And a relaxation session or a sleep session is never going to be out of date. So, let me pour you to sleep recordings. If you listen back to something from six years ago, it's out of date in a sense, that it was six years ago.

But there might be a degree of nostalgia. So in 10 years, when you listen back, maybe to this one, if you were listening, you might think, oh, I don't know. I don't know what you'd be thinking, because I'm not you.

But you might think, oh, yeah, that's when Jason was talking about his YouTube channel before it became super, super famous. Wow. And there was that dog over the fence.

But it wasn't really that noisy. Even though he didn't edit it out, we wish he had done. But you know, when it did bark, it wasn't that often.

So maybe he's exaggerating how much it barks. And just, you know, hearing Finny drinking his water. He's under the desk now, fast asleep.

But he's laying on my foot. He always has to have part of his body. Touching me.

I guess it's a comfort thing. To be attached, you know, so I feel he's in contact, which he is. But if I move my foot, he would get up.

So I don't want to disturb him. I think he's a happy boy. I just wish there was a way of knowing, you know.

Oh, I've got to send my dad a Father's Day present. I have to go on to Moon Peak. It's Wednesday.

Father's Day is on Sunday. I have to do that. Oh yeah, Q&A Friday.

If you've got any questions, then I really appreciate it. Because Q&A Friday is very difficult to do when there's no questions. As I'm sure you can imagine.

It's like trying to do a life drawing of an empty chair. I actually applied for a job as a life drawing artist. And it was for this, it was for a college, art college.

And the advert was in the newspaper. I thought, OK, I'll go along. Now, it was a very short interview.

And I said, I really just asked them. So I'm going to be naked, yeah? I'm going to be naked when they paint me. I'm going to be naked.

And they said, no, Mr. Newland, you're not going to be naked when they paint you and draw you. You're going to be fully clothed. And this is just a normal college.

So you're not going to be naked. And also, neither should you be naked during the interview. So please, can you leave? It's like, how was I to know? There's an old saying, is there? Dress for the job you want.

Not for the job you've got. Dress for the job you want. That's why I dress like a porn star.

I don't know what they dress like. I wouldn't know. I don't know what I bought.

I don't know what that is. I heard it somewhere. What's that TV show where they go on naked? Not naked and afraid.

That's my love life, that is. And what naked? It's basically they're all in little cages, little glass cage things. And one person stands there and chooses one as the curtain gradually goes up bit by bit.

Naked. I forget, it's basically a dating show. And the person outside the glass case chooses, wheels it down to two, then they come out.

And the person who chooses the two people then goes back and comes out undressed. So it's both men and women do either side, you know. And then whoever they pick, they go out on a date and they get to see each other with clothes on.

Naked dating. Is it called naked dating? And I've been watching it for years. And it's never, it's, yeah, I don't know, I don't know what to say.

I just, I'm hopeful every time I watch it, I'm hopeful, but yeah, never, just, it amazes me. I wouldn't go on a show like that. Because it wouldn't be fair on the other contestants.

Plus, I don't think I could handle the fame. It's, I don't know what it is, but it's just, there's something, it's like they, they choose, oh, I don't know how to explain it without coming across as, it's just, no, don't really, yeah, it's not really for me. This is channel four though, they do some really weird things.

They got one, which is like a box and they send a couple in to do, to have Nookie in the box. Nookie. And then they come out and they tell the presenter all about everything they've just done.

I think it's called Nookie Box. And I'm like, why? What's the point in that? I don't, I really don't get it. I don't understand.

Don't see the point. But then, I'm finished all hunting a fly. I don't, my opinion has changed about things.

So, I've watched like, various different TV series that, you know, that have Nookie in it. Like lots of Nookie scenes. And I watched the first one, as if it's got the style of the show in it.

And I'll have a look the first time, like, oh, okay, that's what they look like. But then they come, they do another, they don't come, but yeah, okay. They come and they, I'm trying not to say that word.

Then they have another scene, maybe in this, later on in that episode or whatever. And it's the same people. It's like, why would I want to see them twice? I've seen them.

And it goes on for like, two, three minutes. It's like, what is the point in that? I've already seen the person naked once. Why would I want to see them naked again? And I had that on Power, I think it's Power.

It was one of those shows, there's a few. And they just kept having these Nookie scenes, where they were doing the nasty. You know, they're like, I kept having to fast forward.

Why do you keep showing it? It's basically a man and wife. Like, why would anyone want to see the same two people getting undressed and just, no, no thanks. I'd rather watch a cookery show on a Saturday morning.

And if you know me, you realize how, how much I don't want to watch Nookie scenes on TV shows. The weird thing about it is, 40 years ago, I'd be recording it. I'd be watching it, obviously not on, I'd be watching it on the internet, because there was no internet.

So I'd be watching that on a video. And I'll be watching it on frame by frame. And keep rewinding it frame by frame by frame.

My attitude's completely changed. I'd be fast forwarding through the actual show to get to the Nookie bits. I mean, I watched nine and a half weeks.

Literally, for nine, over nine weeks, I sat there watching it frame by frame by frame. Every little bit of nastiness. I watched The Postman Only Rings Twice.

I mean, that completely, yeah, there wasn't, I'm, okay, I'm trying to say something, but without coming across as rude. In the end, I was there for so long, in the end, just air was coming out. It was like a, like a flat tire.

You know, just, there was nothing left. A flat tire where you just end up squeezing, you know, like a tooth, it's like a toothpaste tube, you know, when you get to the end and you really have to like really squiggle it right up so you can get a little bit out. Yeah, that was nine and a half weeks.

Boliro, is it Boliro with, um, what's her name, who was in 10? I forget her name, but, Bo Derek. Ah, Boliro, there was a scene in there. But now, the thing is, it does nothing to me anymore.

I don't care. I don't want to see it. I want to hear the dialogue.

I want to have conversation. And I've just realized I've got old. Oh, that's bad, isn't it? I should want to see stuff like that.

Oh, I do remember years ago when I was, uh, when I was kind of freaking single and meeting people regularly and maybe, you know, having a nice evening. And I started getting bored with that, doing that, meeting people I didn't know. And I remember once I was nookying, whatever you want to call it, and thinking to myself, I just wish I was at home watching Boliro, reading the dictionary.

No, I didn't. But that's the thing, though. In reality, all those opportunities I used to have when I was younger, and I'd always take my time.

But sometimes an opportunity is only an opportunity in that moment. And I didn't really seem to grasp that situation. Because I'm not, I don't like to rush anything.

I just, I like to get to know people and I like to just take my time. But sometimes there is no time. It's like you need to eat the dinner while it's hot.

Otherwise, you'll get cold. You need to eat the salad while it's cold. Otherwise, you'll get hot and soggy, warm lettuce.

It's not nice. Mind you, if it's connected to pizza, that's the weird thing. I like salad with my pizza.

I like a nice toast salad with my pizza. But if I'm going to a restaurant like, you know, a Pizza Hut or a pizza place, I don't want a toast salad when I'm in public, because I'm embarrassed by it. I don't want other people to see me walking with a plate, collecting salad.

I just don't want it to be seen. I don't want it to happen ever. But salad and pizza is such an amazing mix.

Oh, wow. I just remembered. It's amazing.

Yes, perfect. A bit of tomato, a little bit of lettuce, maybe cucumber, slice of pizza, what not. If you cut a bit of pizza off.

Oh, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum. I'm making myself hungry here. Wow.

That's strange, isn't it? But I had an issue, just like, I'm not going to eat salad in public. To be fair, I don't... Oh, there's a dog here again. Anyway, I'm going to go now because the dog started barking.

So thank you for listening. Remember to be kind to yourself because you do deserve to be happy and be gentle with yourself. You deserve to feel safe.

Lots of love. Bye.
