Hello and welcome to Let Me Bore You To Sleep. Yeah, my name's Jason Newland. Please only listen when you can safely close your eyes.
I'm using a different microphone to yesterday because it sounded a little bit echoey, but I'm starting to think it's sounding a little bit echoey now because I've removed the bookcases. Which is a bit weird. I hope it's okay.
And so yeah, this is Let Me Bore You To Sleep. Q&A Friday time. So, before I continue, let me just give you an update on what's going on.
I did a recording yesterday saying that I had retired from making hypnosis recordings. And I'm going to be focusing solely on these. Let Me Bore You To Sleep recordings.
And that is still the case today. So I'm in the process of transferring things over. Now, I'm not going to delete, not going to get rid of all the old recordings.
Because there's thousands, and it'd be a shame to lose them all. So what I'm going to do, what I've already started to do. Well done, Vin.
And make a bit more noise, please. So I've also retired jasonnewland.com. So that website's gone. But I do have a new website called letmeboreyoutosleep.com. Original, and now, and now.
So, but on that website, there is going to be, if you go on now, it's not, it's not fully built yet. But at the moment, you can catch up on all the latest recordings. So if you click on there, there's a player, which you can just press play whichever one you want.
And all the latest recordings, the Let Me Bore You To Sleep are on there. Now, it's going to take a while for the internet to catch up with what I'm doing. And I'm very likely going to lose a lot of listeners along the way.
Because now that I'm focusing on just one thing, and, you know, but hopefully, those that do enjoy listening to what I do on here, will continue to listen. So the letmeboreyoutosleep.com I've got on there. Welcome to my long running relaxation podcast.
After many years as a hypnotherapist, I'm now retired from hypnosis, and will be concentrating solely on creating new episodes of Let Me Bore You To Sleep, which is literally what I just said. All of my archived hypnosis recordings remain available here, alongside the latest sessions, and designed to help you relax, unwind and drift into sleep. Only listen when you can safely close your eyes.
And underneath there, there is a player where you can listen to all the latest recordings. And yeah, so that's that's pretty cool. What I will do is underneath that I will have the yeah, I will have playlists by 50s, or maybe 100s, maybe 50s.
So you can put the Let Me Bore You To Sleep. It's not at the moment, but I will have that where you can just click on it. And it will give you a list of all the latest Let Me Bore You To Sleep recordings, which you can then download.
So for example, I'm only up to 1271 on the Let Me Bore You To Sleep, but you can click on that on the website. And then you can add to cart, checkout and download for free. It's free, free, I tell you.
So there's no no charge for any of the recordings. Also, there's no charge for any of the hypnosis stuff either. It's all free.
And it's going to take a little while so please, you know, bear with me while I do it. But the latest recordings will be available on that website. Also the podcast is still going to be the Let Me Bore You To Sleep podcast is still going to be available.
But once once I've uploaded all the other stuff, those podcasts, the individual podcasts are going to go. So that'll be and they'll be gone. So the only podcast I will have is Let Me Bore You To Sleep, instead of hundreds of different podcasts.
But all the recordings I've done previously will be available for you to download for free. If you want to. So yeah, there's quite a few, it's going to take me ages to do this, but it's kind of half done, actually.
God already half built this website before. So and also the Yeah. If you click on Vinnie, blimey, let's say you click Jason's Bedtime Storytime.
So some of the pages will say maybe there's an amount to pay, but there isn't. It's I was just playing around with that for future ideas, but it's actually set at zero, which you will see if you go to the thing. It's always all free.
So I've got 28. Let me Jason's Bedtime Storytime 28. So click on number 28, which is Little Tim in the Magical Forest.
And then you can add to shop, add to cart or you can buy with shop. Wonder what happens there. All right, you need to sign in, but it's free anyway.
And we've that one. Those that are available, more than one recording for each thing, then they will be available as a zip file. So you can download like maybe four or six versions of the same recording.
And then just, you know, that's fine. That seems to be the plan. The first 1000 Let Me Bore You To Sleep.
I've got nothing but just just one recording each without music. Yeah. So I think this is making sense, I hope.
But it's going to take a while, it will take a while for me to get this all updated. And I don't want to spend too much time on it either. At a time that is.
So I'd also like to say a welcome to the new two newest members of the Jason Newlands Boring Group, Patrick and Janice. Hi, Janice. So Patrick and Janice, welcome to this this year.
Boring Facebook group. Yep. Hello.
Hello there. Hello. So other than that, really, I think that's kind of covered everything.
Still in the process of trying to organize my flat, although I've done nothing today. So I've been focused on the website. So there's probably going to be I'll get back to it probably next week.
Although it's going to take me very likely to the end of the month before the websites all complete. But once it's complete, that's it done. I won't have to do anything else.
Other than just add the latest recordings, which is like maybe a half hour a day, you know, to whatever new stuff I have added on there. So it's probably going to take me about a month or the end of the to the end of the month. And then it will all be complete.
So Let Me Bore You To Sleep.com is my new website. If I understand some people, you might be thinking all about the other stuff or about the bedtime story time, not that I do many of them, but what about the Trivia Tuesday? What about the Mondays boring objects? I'm still going to do those. They just won't be on a different website or a different podcast.
They're just going to all be on the Let Me Bore You To Sleep podcast. So they will be on the Let Me Bore You To Sleep.com. Yeah, so that's it. I mean, I might try and maybe I'll, I'll separate them as well.
So they're on kind of two so you can sort of search for them individually. But because I've already got those, I've got the Jason's bedtime story time. I've got sleepy boring objects.
I've got 35 on there. So yeah, there's still you know, I can still do that as well as well as having them. So if you want to search for something, you could be on that collection as well as the Let Me Bore You To Sleep collection as well.
And there's at the moment, I've got the stop smoking on there. I've got a stop now biting recordings on there. The Let Me Boy You're Paying Away recordings.
Not all of them are only up to number nine. I think there's about 30 now. So I'll go back.
So the sleepy boring objects I'm still going to be doing. The bedtime story time, I might actually start doing them a bit more regular. So quite enjoyed doing those.
But you know, it's hard, it's really hard to juggle for me personally. And I'm not very good juggler. Just I mean, literally, I've not ever been a very good juggler.
Yeah, here's a tip. If you're learning to juggle, don't start off with eggs. You know, do something that's like not breakable first.
It's a little bit if you're going to start tightrope walking or what it's called. Don't start from a rooftop, you know, start on the ground, start on a line, or a couple of inches from the ground first. Don't start 100 foot in the air.
I'm just trying to help. Yeah, so I'm gonna probably let me pull your pain away. That's just gonna be part of the Let Me Bore You To Sleep.
Okay, everything's gonna be part of the Let Me Bore You To Sleep family. And I'm going to continue doing all that stuff. So I'm not, I'm not completely getting rid of everything.
I'm not getting rid of anything, but I'm not completely stopping to doing any everything. It's just the hypnosis stuff. And with the let me bore your pain away.
It's very different from hypnosis. And it's really, it's just talking. And with the focus of your the chronic pain sensations reducing.
And that is still a passion in my mind. To help people because you know, the Let Me Bore You To Sleep. It's not just about helping people.
Well, it's not just about helping boring people to sleep. It's more than that. And this isn't just my opinion, it's people have told me this, that it's also relaxing.
It's also maybe having a friendly voice, a familiar voice, company. And I like to think and I hope that people that listen to this that maybe have some kind of chronic pain condition, find a degree of relief by listening to me. Even when it's just a standard Let Me Bore You To Sleep.
When I'm talking about eating cornflakes down a well or whatever I'm discussing. So that's kind of where I'm going forward now. So I'm retired from hypnosis at 55.
I'm not retired. I don't work so I've not retired. But yeah, I won't be making any hypnosis recordings.
I can't guarantee that I won't be using any hypnosis techniques by accident when I do stuff like let me bore you pain away but you know, just so that's something that I'm I look at that image and it's like, Oh, let me pull your pain away. I love that image. So yeah, all the other stuff, like the relax and sleep hypnosis daily, the deep sleep.
Oh, wait a minute. Ah, okay. Deep sleep, whisper hypnosis.
That's I've started to upload those. So there's quite a few of those. So I'm going to upload them.
I don't know what stress and pain relief that's on there as well. There's 47. So all of those things will be not hidden, they'll just be on a separate page where you can just click on and I'll just call it archive.
And they'll stay on there for the next 20 years or whatever. I don't know however long I'm doing this. You can always listen back if you want to.
And as I said, they're available to download for free. So there's no charge. And also going forward the recordings, there won't be any adverts either on any of the recordings that you listen to generally from now on.
So yeah, is that's how things are going to be from now on. So sexy, sexy times. Maybe not.
Maybe not. So here we go. Let's go for Q&A Friday.
Michelle asks the website's gone, but it'll be back. So I have posted a comment, Michelle. I did post a comment.
Why is it not on there? Oh, it is. Hi, Michelle, jasonnewland.com is retired. However, my new website is in the middle of being sorted out.
It is devoted solely to Let Me Bore You To Sleep podcasts or recordings. Here is here is that's not very good grammar, but it's still in production. All latest recordings are on there.
I forgot to put that I also am going to have my archives on there as well. So letmeboytosleep.com. Let's click on it and see what comes up. Oh, it's gorgeous.
It's not. It's just a website. It's just a website.
So yeah, I hope that Michelle hope you got that. And that message. Right.
So Cheryl posted 14 hours ago, I went back through and listened to the underwear podcast and was laughing out loud. Oh, thank you. And the I think I was the was that a month? Was it a trivia Tuesday? Underwear I think it was a couple of weeks back.
And Mike said I'm tempted to download and listen but uproarious laughter is not conductive, conducive to me getting to sleep in the next few hours. Sometimes I'm giggling so much from Jason's opening monologue that I have to skip ahead to the boring repetitive music. Well, you know, it's good.
Good that I can do is whatever is I'm doing. Yeah, whatever it is, I don't know what it is. What is it that I'm doing? I don't know.
No, no, no. I don't know. So here we go.
Are we doing it? Right, so let's go back to Jason Newland boring group. And the where is it? Where is it? Yeah, there's a chance I might not be having music on my future recordings as well. So it might just be you get the recording and then you got the five and 10 hours where I'm just talking in the background.
Well, just talking, you know, so I might not be able to have the music anymore. With my future recordings. I hope that's okay.
I'm just making too many changes. Why are you doing this to us? Well, the thing is, because I'm changing over podcast, I don't really have the rights to use the speaker music if I'm going to be because the idea really is to change over to one SoundCloud podcast, get rid of the other SoundCloud podcast, so just have to Let Me Bore You To Sleep one. And then get rid of all the I'm not just deleting for the sake of it, by the way, I'm gonna make sure that it's all uploaded on to my website first.
But then I'm going to stop using speaker. And which means I'll only be using one podcast. That's it.
But on SoundCloud, if I'm not using on speaker, I'm probably gonna have to do without any background music. So, you know, that's just, however, saying that the way I'm thinking is I'm probably going to be making longer recordings going forward. They might not be every day.
They may be every day. But they're possibly going to be a lot longer, maybe two, three hours long. So maybe you don't need like 10 hours or five hours ones.
Because listening to me talking for two hours, I would say it's impossible without falling asleep. I can't even listen to myself for more than about 20 minutes without falling asleep. And I do listen to myself, which is weird, but I do actually go to bed, lie down, listen to my latest recording.
I'm gone. If I listen to music, I can sit, I can be there listening to it for like an hour sometimes. Because I'm not I'm not doing it to go to sleep.
I'm just relaxing. But if I listen to my voice, talking on a podcast, I fall asleep. I can't keep awake listening to me.
It's weird. I'm so boring. I send myself to sleep.
That's that's a that's something isn't it? So that's how things are. I realised that I'm never going to please everyone. However, hopefully, having all my archives available from the past 19 years, or however long back I go.
I probably won't have the really old stuff on there. Although I might do just for fun, just add some of the really, really old crackly stuff from the 1930s when I started. And I might also make available all the videos for people to download if they want as well from YouTube.
And what I might be doing. I'm thinking about it. It's not 100%.
I might start making YouTube videos, where I do the boy to sleep with a camera and a microphone, of course, and upload it as one recording. So maybe, you know, if it's three hours long, no five hour, no 10 hour. You can just have it or I could just do one where it's I do, you know, one recording, then I do one where it's on repeat for 10 hours.
So you could just relisten to it if you want. And I don't think many people would be awake after two or three hours of listening to me. I can't I can't do it.
I don't understand it because I've got a really exciting voice. That's what I think. It sounds so, so, oh, invigorating it is.
So you know, this this change has been made, but this is hopefully for, you know, going to be a positive going forward. Because it means I can just focus on one thing. Without trying to balance different things and being this and being that and just, I can just be me.
Just talk like I do. No agenda, no, you know, not that I ever really have an agenda, but I suppose with the with the hypnosis sessions, there's an agenda of trying to elicit a certain response from the listener. But with this, there's not it's just you can just be yourself, can you just relax and calm and your mind and your body.
I mean, I might do some body scans. That's not really hypnosis anyway. That's just bodywork.
It's just made it more meditation than anything else. So I don't know what you what you think about all this, maybe let me know. I don't know what I think about the idea of making videos because I don't.
It's been such a long time since I did videos, but like regularly. The thing is, on YouTube, I've been just uploading all the latest recordings from my podcast, which is, you know, all six versions. And it's just basically, I'm getting practically no no listeners on YouTube.
It's pretty much nothing. I mean, I've got 1574 subscribers. That's one less than yesterday.
Analytics, and no one else in the world would share these analytics with you. But I am analytics the last 24 and the last 48 hours 100 views is not good. It's really not good.
So what I'm thinking, and I don't know why and you might, you know, part of me put it maybe thinking the same way that you might be thinking is, why would more people want to listen to the stuff if you're if my face is on there. And I kind of agree with that as well, to a degree. But statistically, if I go back far enough, it's been a while since I last did a recording or a video.
I mean, when I say a while, I'm not sure if I've even done one this year. I've got 101 listens or watches of the Bruxism. Hypnosis for Bruxism.
But wow, okay. So many are just like zero views, which is just a bit feels a little bit sad, really. I mean, I suppose there's always a chance that I'll get YouTube will rediscover me like it used to.
But I think ultimately, it's a video platform. And although this is a podcast, it's Yeah. It's not really YouTube don't seem to like podcasts so much.
Well, not my ones anyway. I was trying to go back where, where, where, where? Right, still can't find anything. So I'm now back in July, June.
June. Right, no, nothing. June.
I wonder if I've done any this year at all, like a video. With me. Nothing so far.
One of the problems I've got is the lighting in here isn't necessarily perfect for video. But I can probably sort that out. Oh, I found one.
And Sunday papers. This was the 15th of May 2025. Why is so many private? What's that going on? That's weird.
It's a bunch of videos that are private. But this one is me talking. It's 100 is one hour and 58 minutes, 32 seconds.
And it's not a lot. It's only 44 views. So it's not much, but it's still a lot more than what I normally get with just the podcasts.
Let's go back a bit. And having all these different versions, you know, no music, five hours, 10 hours, music, five hours, 10 hours. It's a little bit of an overload.
I'm not nice. It's nice to have. It's nice to have choice, which is why I did it.
So I've done this way. But in reality, and can't can't cater for everybody. Although I've got an idea of an app that may be could do that, where you could literally choose, you know, I don't know, background music have different types of background music and stuff.
But at the moment, this is where we are. I mean, I do think about weird screechy sounds in it. I did think I could add background music to the video using YouTube's music.
But I personally, this is my own personal opinion, I find the background music distracted. I don't like background music. Not not when there's someone talking.
Can't stand videos where there's like music in the background. I'm trying to listen to the person talking. This is really winds me up.
But we're all different in a way. Oh, I found one I have I have I have. Right, I went through a little phase when I was doing them in Wow, I did quite a few.
March, March this year. So what was that? So about six months ago, did one on the 26th of March. Women, the woman's toilet.
So I got 52 views, four likes, so I don't normally get many likes either, which is weird. Considering how phenomenal I am. Okay.
I did the most relaxing ASMR YouTube video and I got 494 views and 22 likes. That's the thing. You know, that's me on on camera for an hour and six minutes and 30 seconds.
That's the stuff that people can hear that dog is barking. Bless. And it's weird.
I've not looked back at that. So that must still people are still watching that. I'm actually want to go back and do the hypnosis again or no, I want it.
The way I perceive this situation is did you just fart Vinnie? Did you just do a big fart? I had something. Did you? Did you? Did you let one go? Did you? Did you just squeeze one out? Did you? He's looking at me. He's underneath the table.
It's been ages since I've really sat underneath the table. Like he did it minimally when I had table up or the desk up near the TV where the TV was on it. And I sit there and he kind of sit by my side or sleep on the side.
But now there's all this room underneath the table so he can get in from the other side, which he couldn't before because there was a wall there. He struggles walking through walls. It's very limited.
But now he's seems to quite like it. And yeah, so Let Me Bore You To Sleep recordings. I think that they potentially can help various different things.
Without even being I don't know just so I'm looking at these. Well, yes, the hypnosis stuff gets a lot more. A lot more on YouTube.
Wow. Okay. Maybe I've made a mistake.
Oh, well. So these are the live videos while the videos of me. I did quite a few in a row.
I forgot about that. So from the 3rd of March for about two weeks, I did regularly every day, maybe two a day sometimes. So I did Let Me Bore You To Sleep.
Let me pull your pain away. The ones that got the most traction is another one which was breathing relaxation to deep sleep whisper. Another deep sleep whisper body scan 647.
That one was 310. And then I got counting down deep sleep whisper 658. Wow.
So yeah, it's it's definitely more than I would get. I mean, but then I've got the Let Me Bore You To Sleep 36, 37, 61, 75, 78, 81, 91. So they're also getting views as well.
So maybe that can build up 98, 70. Oh, no, that's a let go of anger. 27.
Yeah, so. Okay, so there's a few. I just want to move on and see what other ones.
She's out of my life, the cover I did 70 views. Let Me Bore You To Sleep. Okay, so none of the Let Me Bore You To Sleep again, seem to be getting much but this you know, being here now deep sleep whisper 449, 273, 471, 561.
I did quite a few live recordings, which is strange. I forgot about that. Not live, but you know, where my face is on screen.
So I guess the point I was trying to make really is and I don't know why, but for some reason, when my face is on there, when I'm actually when it's an actual video, moving. People watch them. And even the Let Me Bore You To Sleep ones.
Again, I mean, the hypnosis ones are always more popular. Yeah, I'm just just looking 239 442 223 149 169. Okay, but even the let me boy sleep but kind of get into 100 you know, just under 100 maybe.
So I reckon if I did stick to doing a Let Me Bore You To Sleep every day, a video, then the audience would grow. And yeah, it's worth a try in it. Worth a try.
So this isn't being videoed now. But maybe start in next week, or maybe, maybe tomorrow. I might start doing a video.
Just seeing, you know, seeing what occurs, what happens, how things are, if things are groovy, super groovy. I don't know. So I've been talking for a little while, I should really do a question.
Ing asks me, are you interested in fart not fart fine art? Like painting? Do you have a favorite painter? No. No. It's not that I'm not interested.
I'm not interested. But I'm not. It's not that I don't dislike art at all.
It's beautiful and everything like that. And I've been to plenty of art galleries in the past. I do find that, you know, like the big art galleries in London.
I've only really been to the ones in London. The big pictures like wow. You kind of have to step back to really appreciate it.
So how did they paint it? Unless they had a really, really, really long paint stick thing, or paintbrush, you know, like a 20 foot paintbrush. So they could kind of see what it's going to look like. Or they're looking through the, maybe they got some binoculars and looked in the wrong side.
That would have been once I put them taped to his head, or her head. So no, I don't have a favorite. I like I mean, I could list off some famous painters just because it's in my memory from having heard about them.
And I don't know, was it Rembrandt? Was it Rembrandt? Was that an art Rembrandt? What was his name who did the 16th chapel? Bolognese, not Bolognese. There's Rolf Harris, of course. Do you know what it is yet? Yeah, criminal.
And what was I don't know, I did it. My favorite art thing I ever saw. I actually did a gig at an art gallery opening once.
Believe it or not. And I had a friend who's she had a I don't know why they had comedy there. But this is big.
It's basically an art gallery. And a halftime intermission was a comedy show. And it was in this art center or something, some part of London.
And my friend didn't want to do it. So she asked me to do it for her to cover her. And it's just a free gig.
There's no money involved. So I said, okay, then. So I went on and ruined a few people's nights.
And it's very strange. I didn't go there to do that. But it just is one of the perks, I suppose.
With my type of comedy at the time, wasn't a perk for me. What was like Jimmy now was there. So Jimmy now is a famous actor and musician from, you know, like 80s and 90s.
I swear, he was head and shoulders above everybody else in the audience. It's about six, seven. It's really tall.
But it's weird because you think like, like, six, seven is tall. But yeah, so what? It really stood out so much. He was at the back.
And I could see him. I could see his chest. He wasn't topless.
I mean, he had clothes on. But, you know, he's that tall. Yeah, but anyway, he was a little bit starstruck.
But at the same time, I do want to upset him. Because it's like, I don't want to upset Jimmy now. Spender, as you know, that was the name of the TV show he was in.
And Ovidus and Pat. But there was this art gallery above the comedy club that I used to be involved in. And it was the head barman and his wife, who was a waitress.
And they were both artists. So they opened with my friend, they kind of put together an art gallery upstairs. Right at the top of the building, it was all converted.
It must have cost a fortune to do it. And I'd go up there and just have a little look, you know, while there was no one around before the gallery opened to the public, you know, the new exhibition. And there was this one gallery, one artist, and it was all naked people, which initially interested me until I realized what it was about.
And it had all these historic events involving war and things like that. But everybody was naked. So there were soldiers on the battlefield and soldiers riding horses, completely naked.
And it kind of just added a sense of absurdity to the situation. I mean, I don't know if you can get more absurd than war anyway, but you know, just generally just it made me think. And really made me think about life and about, you know, just, I suppose, I got some kind of existential angst kind of arose.
And then I just carried on eating KitKat. Because it was an exciting cup of tea was dipping in there. It was nice.
I moved on. And I thought, I should remember this because I might need to talk about it one day. And that was it.
That's the whole thing. Cindy asked me, are vets as expensive there as they are in the US? Yesterday, I picked up my golden retrievers flea and tick medication. A six month supply was $180.
I mean, it is expensive here. I don't know, I can't really compare. I'm just trying to think what $180 is in UK money, probably about 140, 150 pound.
So six months supply. Yeah. I'd expect to pay probably more than 100 pound for six months.
If you're going to buy in bulk. Yeah, it's maybe I know that a treatment is very expensive with the vets. There's no, it's just astronomical.
I know someone that had they spent my friend, her dog got unwell. And she spent about 12,000 pound on treatment. And I know someone else, another dog walker that I speak to and they spent like five grand, you know, just sometimes there's something like a bad leg or something that is quite easy for humans to deal with.
Dogs, I'm not saying they can't deal with it. They probably deal with better than humans actually. But as far as the surgery or any kind of treatment, really, really expensive.
Really? Yeah. So yeah, I think I spent about just to have an x-ray for Andre. I think cost me a couple 100 quid.
Something like that just for an x-ray. Maybe, maybe more. So yeah, it's expensive.
Oh, yeah. I don't like to talk. I don't like thinking about the vets.
Hope asks who would win in a boxing match between you and Sebastian? Wow. Wow. Talk about causing a conflict.
And how badly would Sebastian lose? Details, please. Wow. The thing is, in reality, or not reality, but in kind of logically, Sebastian is a lot younger than me.
And he's a lot bigger than me as well. He's, I think he's what, over six foot. And he weighs about 30 stone, which is about 400 pounds.
And I think it's about six foot five or something. So he's a big old lump. And I remember I say to him, like, Oh, I was excited.
I'd lost half a stone, which is what seven pounds. And he said, I lose that every time I do a poo. Okay.
So in a boxing match, I don't know, I'm not quite as nimble as I used to be on my feet. So I think in a boxing match, you know, it's got a referee got boxing gloves on probably got headgear on a mouthpiece, mouth guard or other. So there's a degree of like, you can get out of the way.
If you can move, but I'm not sure how well my, my the back, my lower back will work for me these days, because it's not. Yeah, it's not doing great. So of course, I'd win.
But yeah, we all know that. But um, yeah, I imagine if he's probably punched quite hard. Yeah, I don't know.
It's weird. Because that's the age thing, isn't it? Because he's in his 30s. I'm in my 50s.
So it's like probably 20 years between us, maybe 18 years, I'm not sure, but it's quite quite a difference in age. And he's got youth on his side. My I've got even with a telescope, I'm looking behind me, I can't see my youth is so far away.
It's in the distance too far. It's weird, though, because when I look in front of me, I don't need a telescope, I can see my old age. It's just like just up the road.
It's weird. Being 55 strange. It shouldn't be any different to being 54.
But for some reason, it's, it's getting me to reconsider my okay, my life choices in the past. I've always done that I've always kind of thought back in my old, if I'd done something different, blah, blah, blah. But the reality is you can't can you can't do something different in the past.
So and with Uncle sausages, and with Luke and a few things that happened and Andre, and that's all in the last, you know, five years. I think with Uncle sausages, I start thinking, okay, I've kind of seen close up what could be me in a few years, you know. And it really has affected me.
So I'm starting to think, well, I want to I don't think there's anything more important than helping people. For me, personally, that's my aim. That's why I do these recordings.
I don't just do it just to have a laugh. I do genuinely want to help people. I've also got to do something that I enjoy doing.
And I enjoy doing these recordings. I enjoy just chatting, shooting the breeze, maybe just being a bit silly. A bit being a bit of a silly sausage sometimes, you know.
And I like the idea that maybe what I'm doing is meaningful. At least I like that idea. And I do want to continue doing it.
So that's kind of why I've come to that isn't a question I know that hope asked, but I am trying to move away from the idea that I want Sebastian, I'll imagine what messages I'm going to get now. Thanks, hope. Because he's not allowed on this group on the, but he is on my Facebook friend list.
Because I banned him, I had to keep banning him. What he does is, he just starts posting outrageous things. And even when I find it funny, people get upset.
And that's why he's not allowed on this group. Because I know that as soon as he's on there, although he might be on there under a false name, or now I'll just probably give him that idea. But I'll know because I know the things that he posts.
So if anyone started posting outrageous things on the Jason Newlands boring group, they just get banned anyway. So it's fine. Because it's a private group, so you have to actually apply to join.
Otherwise, I probably have 1000s of members. But also have 1000s of members that probably didn't even visit, they just like come once and join and then I wouldn't see him again. Maybe I should do that.
Maybe I should just make it an open group. What do you think, Molly, should I just turn to return this into an open group. So it's no longer.
And I think Molly's really the I don't think I'm an admin anymore. So I think Molly's the she's literally is the boss of the group. So I don't know.
What does everyone think? Do you think we should just have it as an open group, rather than as a membership? You know, like private members? I don't know. I like the idea of being private. But I like the idea of it being maybe just open.
I'm not sure. It doesn't hugely affect me either way. But it's kind of nice to have like, it needs to be a safe, a safe place.
Yeah, a safe space to be able to just and then another thing is because it's such a small group, I do get to see things that people post. If I had like 10,000 people on air posting all the time, I wouldn't see hardly any of it. Because it'd just be busy, which is a good thing.
I mean, it's it'd be good for for publicity perspective for you know, growing the audience. Edgier. Hmm.
I don't know. I've just asked my own question here. So I've got three questions.
It wasn't a lot of questions this week. Are you interested in fine art? So I do like painting. I'm just going back over the questions.
I do. I tried to do painting in the past myself, but I don't like the feel of it. I don't like the feel of paintbrushes on paper.
It actually makes my teeth go a bit weird. So I don't like it. And I don't even like painting, like walls or stuff.
I just know, just don't like the smell of paint. And that's not really an issue because you don't really smell the paint here. If you go to an art gallery, maybe, maybe you do.
As for the vets in DR. Wow, yeah, they're definitely making their money. It's got to be a hard job. But at the same time, it's just, I remember when Andre had to have his final treatment.
And the vet was shaking when he's speaking to me, like physically shaking. And so I kind of, I wasn't shaking him. I wasn't manhandling him.
I was just standing there. But it's very similar to when Uncle Sausages, his doctor came and told him the news that he was, you know, his news that he got. And when he was in hospital, and that doctor was shaking as well.
Stuttering, really nervous, and it's be hard, such a hard situation to be in, especially doing it at their bedside, so other people can hear, no going into a private room or anything like that. Which I thought was how things were done. They didn't have a private room, there was nothing, it was very strange, just busy, busy, busy the whole time.
And as for boxing, I would like, that is one of my things I'd just love to do, just to get in a boxing ring and have a two round fight. So it's gonna be two rounds, with all, you know, all the padding and stuff. And one minute rounds, two rounds, with half an hour rest in between each round.
Yeah, the only boxing sparring I did, because I went to boxing when I was 39, but wasn't allowed to spar because I was too old. I did that for a year and a half or so. But I went to boxing club when I was a kid at school, when I was doing karate, and went along, and they were sparring.
But there was no pads. And I was, I was matched up to someone that was, I mean, pretty much twice my size. I was probably about seven and a half stone at this point.
He was easily 14, 15 stone, he's big, big lad. And he was just punching down, punching me in the head. I didn't like it.
It really put me off. Because, you know, if I'd have been matched with someone my own size, to start with, at least, you know, it's like, if I got, at that time, if I'd have been put in with a dad, like put me in with a, like an eight year old, or nine year old, really size wise, or eight year old, you'd, you'd spar, but you'd be really light, wouldn't you just, you could spar with a kid.
But, like when I did karate, we sparred with adults.
I sparred with people older than me, sometimes younger than me, because I was what, let's say 14, 15. So I'd be sparring kids, maybe who were 12. And other times, sparring people in their 30s.
And generally, everyone kind of, the older people took it a bit easier on the younger people. And I took it easier on the younger people as well. Unless they didn't.
So I think the rule is, take it easy on the little ones, because I was a little one for a lot of them. And there's a few littler than me. So take it easy on them, unless they take liberties, I think is the thing.
So if the little one goes a bit too on, you know, tries to hurt the bigger one, then the bigger one has to put them on the floor, just teach them to sort of maybe be behave themselves. So that was kind of the unsaid rule, really. Because, you know, I was, when I was sparring, because we sparred every single night, with karate, every Tuesday, Thursday night, we sparred, and we'd like line up opposite each other.
So it'd be, you know, basically just take turns and just keep moving along, and do that for about half an hour. And when I came across the adults, they would take it easy on me. They'd push me, but they wouldn't, you know, wouldn't hurt me, because they could really took my head off.
They could have knocked me right the way to the other side of the room, but they didn't. And I appreciate that. That's why I didn't punch them in the balls.
However, there was one tall, he was about six foot nine, ridiculously tall, but he was not hugely a lot older than me. He was probably about 18, 17, 18. And he constantly was knocking me onto the floor, because his legs were taller than me.
His legs were longer than my whole body. And in the end, I got fed up with it. So I just, I put him on the floor.
But in a different way. That sounds weird, doesn't it? Sounds a bit erotic. I put him on the floor as in, you know, punched him and kicked him in the wrong place.
And eventually he learned his lesson. But he shouldn't have been doing that. He shouldn't, you know, he shouldn't have been knocking me over and going full pelt on me because I was still little.
And he was a grown man. Although I don't think he was able to have children. After I'd finished with him.
We laughed. Yes. I did have someone do that.
It was a different martial art, but someone, they kept hitting me in a place where I said, don't hit me, just be careful. It was Kung Fu. And I said, just be careful my rib.
And he still hit me in the rib. I said, just please, aim anywhere else, just not the rib. And they did the rib again.
So what I did is, when they went to kick me, I put them on the floor, I did their leg. So I kind of got them back. It's just like, I didn't want to.
But eventually, this is when I was a lot younger, I was only 54 at the time. I had to, you know, kind of like, please be careful with my little body because it's, you know, it's hurting. And he kept doing it, kept going back and forth.
Another one when I did Taekwondo, there was this lad there and he started at the same time as me, he went on to be like, Triple Dan, Black Belt, after I stopped because I couldn't go anymore because of my back. And he used to, he was so good at kicking, which is most of what Taekwondo is, is kicking. He was so good at kicking.
And he used to just knock everyone, even the Black Belts, the instructors, because he used to do kickboxing before. He'd be kicking people all around the place. No one could match him.
Not even the high instructors could match him in kicking. It's kind of funny, really. And I remember once, we were just sparring.
I think he kneed me in the leg, like in the thigh. And I swear, honestly, I had a dead leg for about a year. And he found it hilarious.
And I really wanted to get my own back. I really did. It's like, I let him off.
But it's like, that really hurt. And I don't think he meant to do it. But he laughed at the result, which is me crying on the floor, crying for my mummy.
And I felt better once I had a, you know, a sandwich. A corned beef sandwich. But it's just like, oh, it hurt.
But I never got my own back. There's nothing like vindictive stories from the past. Oh, I remember this, this young lad, he was Wing Chun, we were doing, what was it, Jeet Kune Do.
And he came along, he was, he was younger than me, but he was an adult. So I was, like, in my, I was 33. He was probably about 22.
And he was so full of himself. All this energy and, you know, and he was just constantly trying to get one over in sparring, especially leg spar. We used to do a thing on a Friday.
So on a, I think it was, is it a Monday and a Wednesday or Tuesday and a Thursday, I think it might be the Monday and Wednesday, we did the normal martial arts, Kung Fu. And then on a Friday, it was leg spar. So we couldn't use our hands.
Not even to block. So we had to block and attack with our legs. The hands, basically the arms were just for balance, really, you can move your arms for balance, and that was it.
And he really, he really used to try and push it with his, because he was really flexible, quick. But at the same time, it's quite funny as well. Although there's this one time, because I had my rib broke.
That's that thing I was talking about. Actually, my rib got broken. And I couldn't go there for a while, for a few weeks.
And then I went along, I said, Look, I know I can't participate, but I just want to just be in the environment, because maybe I can just practice some moves and stuff. And he said, my instructor, my Sifu, Sifu, Sifu, he said, Well, if you can, why don't you practice your kicks on the punch bag, because you have this big, massive punch bag hanging down from the the ceiling.
And it was like a, almost like a, an aircraft hangar, this massive place.
And I said, Okay, and I realized I can actually punch without really hurting myself too much as well. Because it was practically healed, but not enough to be hit. I knew that if I got hit in my rib, that would be all.
Now I was practicing my kicks, which is quite nice to do actually, just without anyone being around, and no one was paying me any attention. It was just nice to have that freedom. And I think it was a punch, it might have been a kick, but I think it was a punch.
And the punch bag flew off and hit the wall and chain snapped. Now, I'm not under any kind of idea that I'm the one that caused that, okay. I mean, if anything, I'm lucky that the chain didn't land on me.
It's probably just a very rusty chain, but I tell you what, it looked good. Now YouTube wasn't around then. But if I'd have had that on YouTube, me punching this bag, and the bag just, you know, being pulled off the chain, just, it would look like a superhero movie, or Rocky.
It was impressive. And the bag never got put up again, because there's no way of getting out there. So I'm wondering if it was already there when he moved in.
Because the instructor just had it on the floor, and he just used it for practicing groundwork. It's like, wow. It's weird, even though I had an opportunity to kind of pretend to myself that I punched that bag so hard that I broke it.
The fact is, I know I didn't. But it just, it was ready to go. I'm pretty sure a ladybird could have probably landed on it just at that time, and it would have fallen over.
Because that's how hard my punches are. So probably me and Sebastian probably he'd win, considering I've got the punch of a ladybird. Oh, what a shame.
Okay, so let's have a look. So Michelle, thanks for the update. I listen to you every night and use older ones even from 2019.
So sad I couldn't access all of them. Thanks, Michelle, you will be able to. Everything will be accessible very, very, very, very, very, very soon.
And it will be more case of downloading them. If that makes sense. So you can just down and it'd be easy to download.
Take seconds and you can play it and just get rid of it if you don't want it after that. Yeah, I might also try and get a quick link download. But we'll see.
I'm just all up in the air. I kind of sometimes when I start doing these things, I think I'll just want things back the way they were. Now.
I can't be bothered. But I'm going to stick to it. Because once it's done, I can then move forward in the the correct the correct direction.
So I'm gonna go. Thank you for listening. Sorry, it wasn't a huge amount of questions.
But that's that's all the questions I had today. Thank you for listening. Remember to be kind to yourself because you do deserve to be happy.
And be gentle with yourself. You deserve to feel safe. Lots of love.
Bye
