Hello and welcome to Let Me Bore You To Sleep it's christmas yeah hello welcome and a happy christmas to those of you that celebrate it happy holidays for those of you that don't and nothing for those of you that neither do nor don't if that makes sense wishing everyone well every day of the year so i got a few thank yous got a few a few thank yous first of all thank you for everyone that's wished me a merry christmas also i want to say thank you to let's have a

look i want to say thank you to hillary for your christmas gift just seeing if i've who i've thanked and who i haven't thanked so i'd like to also thank ruth for your christmas gift your crisp christmas paypal gift i would also like to thank jennifer for your christmas paypal gift gift if i can speak and also paul for your christmas paypal gift thank you very much that's really really kind of you ah christmas now this might not be a super long recording because i've been having quite a few phone

calls and i've got a neighbor that's cooking me christmas dinner well part of their own christmas dinner but they're going to be coming around at some point to give me a christmas dinner so probably going to have to invite them in it'd be a bit rude wouldn't it just to take it and slam the door in their face so yeah so i'm not sure how long this is going to be but i thought i'd do it anyway just to wish everyone happy celebrations vinnie is eating one of these big treats

that he got as a has one of his christmas presents so you know he's he's a happy little fella that's uh oh what am i doing bear with me two seconds i'm not very organized today so i also like i have to thank hillary as well for vinnie's christmas hamper thank you hillary he's actually eating part of the christmas hamper right now he's a little spoiled little girl he is blimey it's really weird that when i'm sitting on the doesn't bother with it you know he just wants to cuddle up

to me but as soon as i sit down at the desk that's it he's over there enjoying himself strange he's a strange little penguin trying to think what's happened what's happened lately um i haven't done any exercise any physical exercise for over a week because i had that pain in my side and i came to the conclusion that it was possibly muscle related so i had a break to let my i don't know if it was a pulled muscle or whatever it was just to heal but i'm feeling it now

i'm feeling it in my lower back having not done any exercise so and now i'm lazy i've gone back to being lazy again because i had a routine every time before taking him out i would do some exercises the first one of the day would be 100 squats with weights and i built it up started at 98 now i started you know about 10 or 20 and over the months built it up and i felt that i have felt the difference in my lower back it doesn't hurt as much when

i bend over as it did so it's strengthened i think and when i walk doesn't hurt as much when i walk the other exercises being like my arms my shoulders my back my upper back so i've been doing those exercises as well i'm going to increase that in the new year i've really missed doing it but in another way i've missed i've really not missed doing it because it's nice to just put my boots on and just go out without having to go through all that falafel of exercise i mean

what i might do what i might do come the new year because see i'm i'm not necessarily christmas person i'm more new year person i love the new year it's something about a new beginning because the last few days i haven't had i'll be honest i have not had a huge amount of energy or motivation to do anything just it's just the way things go sometimes and this last week i've made a few recordings but not i haven't done a lot although i have been working on the website and i

have been working on updating the podcasts so that's that's something i have worked on but i've um yeah i'm just kind of thinking towards the future now what i'm going to do and how i can make next year worthwhile so my microwave is my microwave my microphone is moving on its own which makes you think that vinnie's being so vigorous with his chomping away that he's actually moving the floor but i'll make it's concrete floor he's managing to move the building that doesn't make sense he was a lion i've been

eating chocolate today i know i got a cadbury's orange chocolate orange part of the little hamper that my um my parents gave me and i just couldn't resist it so i don't i don't know i do not buy chocolate for myself haven't done for since probably may march april time but just having it there winking at me egging me on excuse the pun and just like come on eat me i'm tasty put me on your tongue you know it's a little it's difficult to say no and you know me i

struggle to say no in the best of times could he make any more noise really did i say only listen you can safely close your eyes i might have said it three times i don't know it's one of those i think it's a little bit like turning it turning the tap off when you've used it or indicating when you're in a car you just naturally do you don't think about doing it i'm guessing i don't drive people around here don't think about doing it because they don't actually do it a

lot of them they turn and they don't i mean i thought it'd be natural okay i'm not gonna moan i'm not gonna moan on christmas day i'm not why can i moan a little bit just a little bit so yeah it's uh wednesday the 25th of december 2024 yesterday i looked into potentially writing a book and i was just i don't know i was just looking at like how could i write a book based on the transcripts i've done and it did actually post the integration and i've been using chat

gpt just asking them would you be able to do that with me it did do something but for some reason it seems to delete it oh okay oh no no that's it because it still blank right it did write a chapter it did but i gotta see where it is where is it nope oh that's a bit annoying oh okay podcast episodes integration calm woman amidst chaos what's that okay nope that's not the one this isn't going good is it right it actually wrote a little story for me but i

didn't necessarily it did what i did okay what i did is i asked chat gpt if i was to upload my transcripts of my Let Me Bore You To Sleep podcasts would it be able to write one page per podcast and then turn it into a book and it said yeah sure but the problem is it was getting stuck so what i'll do it now as i want while i'm here i will do this so i'm going to upload now what i'm going to do i'm going to upload number 50

Let Me Bore You To Sleep please write a book chapter right a book chapter i can't spell if i can't see the keypad do you know when you get that light it's it's it's like nearly two o'clock it's dull in here now it's not dark it's not it's not light enough you'll be able to read a book well you might be able to read a book but i can't read a book in this light but i'm near the window but i'm struggling to see the the letters and on the keypad

please write a book chapter in the first person person based on this content so i've got no idea what is in that thing and so here's what it's written down okay chapter five the quiet art of talking okay it's this this is apparent this is me talking based on the content of the of that podcast that episode i've always believed there's a peculiar kind of magic in talking the kind that doesn't need a purpose or a destination just the act of speaking or letting words tumble out without much care for

where they land it does sound like me doesn't it can create a unique form is that the most noise he's made for a while isn't it so letting words tumble out without much care for where they land can create a unique form of connection it's something i've cultivated over the years intentionally or otherwise and that's at the heart of my Let Me Bore You To Sleep recordings i'm not out to teach or inspire in these sessions my only goal is to talk to people that talk people to sleep and strangely

enough i'm pretty good at it did i say that in this podcast i don't normally say i'm good at anything that's a that doesn't sound like me if i do brag or something i'm usually like joking and say how good looking i am how i'm such a like a model and stuff you know you know it's me just making fun of myself i remember recording number 50 a milestone of sorts really that evening i found myself reflecting on the mundane the trivial the things that fill the spaces between life's important

moments like my habit of scratching itches or watching my favorite andre as he mischievously scratched at the wardrobe doors at ungodly hours which is something i would have mentioned blimey there's something delightfully absurd about andre's antics he'd bang the wardrobe he'd bang the wardrobe doors just for the fun of it not because he was trapped or scared because he could his sheer joy in such a simple act always made me smile if only humans could find that kind of satisfaction so easily andre was a central figure in my life back

then wow so it's me talking about what i oh just almost like me now talking about that episode andre was a central figure in my life back then his quirky behavior like nibbling at my toes to wake me up or climbing onto my laptop while i recorded was both endearing and mildly disruptive true but it was my little companion and his presence added a comforting rhythm to my days in many ways andre embodied the spirit of my recordings unpretentious straightforward and oddly soothing again i probably wouldn't have said that but

it might be true i don't know am i unpretentious i think i like to think that i'm very pretentious but only in a kind of humorous way i don't know am i unpretentious straightforward and oddly soothing maybe i am i'm odd that's that's sure during these sessions by the way this is not me right and this is the chat gpt writing about that recording okay so it's much more eloquent than i am obviously i wouldn't write like this during these sessions i often let my thoughts wander from reminiscing about minty

shower gel blimey to musings about the oddly therapeutic sensation of water pressure from a powerful showerhead true all stuff i've talked about the tangents were endless and that was the point i wanted to replicate that i wanted to replicate the feeling of sitting with someone who just rambles on someone whose words have no particular importance but whose voice feels like a soft blanket for the mind that's good isn't it i like that i mean that is maybe this is stuff that i have said but it's sort of taking it out

because i put a lot of my stuff into chat gp so a lot of my recordings are already in there and it can search through it all and i get it to save everything that i put in wow there's an art to being boring to creating something so intentionally mundane that it lulls the listener into a state of calm it's not about being uninteresting but about being consistent and predictable i'm not predictable i'm not consistent either sometimes i'm consistent i'm consistently inconsistent people have told me people have told me my

voice has this sleepy quality something that soothes without trying too hard i've embraced that as my superpower again that is something that i have said blimey i'm sure i didn't say it all in this recording though if i can help someone drift off to sleep simply by talking about the first pair of socks i bought or the exact trajectory of my receding hair you rude blimey so if i could talk about first pair of socks or the exact trajectory of my receding hairline then i've done my job recording number 50

was a perfect example of this approach i talked about my beards or my beards awkwardly growing phase the time i broke my wrist falling out of the bath and even my nightly ritual of lying on my left side with one foot sticking out of the quilt each story was like a thread and a larger tapestry of quiet ordinariness woven together with no particular design but plenty of warmth is that true i don't know wow what struck me the most was how these recordings built a connection with listeners they'd write to

me telling it writes they'd write to tell me how my voice reminded them of a favorite uncle or how i don't know about that i think they made that bit up there or how andre's escapades made them laugh yeah people have said that they did say that at the time for some my ramblings became a nightly ritual a part of their bedtime routine it's humbling to think that something so simple just me being me could have such an impact at the core of it these sessions were about more than just

sleep they were about presents not christmas presents presents as in oh presents i don't know ce rather than ts about creating a space where people could let go of their worries and just be me and just be rather it's a lesson andre taught me time and again with his innocent uncomplicated view of the world he didn't need grand gestures or profound thoughts to find joy a wardrobe door and a bit of mischief were enough i didn't know that he was going to talk about andre that's caught me off guard a

little bit as i wrapped up recording number 50 i found myself drifting found myself drifting my words slowing my thoughts merging with the comforting rhythm of my voice i always knew when it was time to stop and when the words began to stretch and yawn and even i felt the pull of sleep that's the beauty of boring it's not lifeless it's alive in its quiet way carrying you gently to a place of rest wow much more poetic than i am although it's using my words strange wow let's try another thing

this wasn't i was not going to do this but i've just thought of another thing i can do so upload from the computer so let's go i'm going to go to transcripts i'm going to go to a much later one so 451 to 500 so let's go to 500 again it's still a long time ago because i'm now at 1000 i don't know what i'm at so please so please please write a journal entry entry i can't spell entry n t r y e n n t r y it is

a journal entry in first person person based on this content all right let's see what it comes up with right here we go so this was march the 14th 2024 no it wasn't number 500 that was like two years ago anyway three years ago probably so let's forget the date that's probably just the date that i uploaded it why would it have to march the 14th that's very strange so it says here today i reflected on a curious rhythm of my life i don't feel i've ever used an expression like

that ever the mundane the ordinary and how it somehow weaves itself into the recordings i create each session is a snapshot of these moments a way to let the world slow down with me perhaps it's the way i speak or the absence of urgency in my words but people tell me my recordings help them drift into sleep it's humbling to think my ramblings could be anyone's comfort yeah that's fair enough i have said that i probably haven't used the word humbling but i would have meant it andre my little ferret

was in rare form today he's taken to adopting random nooks and crannies around the flat as his new lairs scratching and rustling until they feel like home to him yep sounds like andre today it was a tube by the wall a gift he's he'd largely ignored until suddenly deciding it was his fortress so that was boston chick he bought that for him watching his stash watching him stash little bits of food there i couldn't help but marvel at how much joy he gets from such simple acts there's a lesson in

that i think during one of my sessions i found myself talking about something as trivial as the trajectory of my receding hairline really i think this is mocking me a little bit keeps talking about my receding hairline and how it feels to let my shoulders drop after carrying heavy shopping bags these aren't life-changing insights but they are real and perhaps that's what makes them soothing to others they're relatable grounding the ordinary becomes extraordinary when it's given space to breathe again i wouldn't have said that so it's better with its words

than i am i just trip over my words i realize too how much these recordings have become more than a job or a hobby they're a connection a way to reach people to create a shared space where we can all just be it's funny to think that a man sitting in his flat mumbling into a microphone with a mischievous ferret as a sidekick could create something so meaningful for strangers across the world wow that probably is something i did say tonight as i lie down without one oh tonight as i

lie down with one foot poking out the quilt my quirky white way of finding balance i remind myself of the joy of these moments the rambling voice in the recordings is my own but it's also something more a gentle nudge for others to relax let go and maybe even drift into a well-earned rest here's to the beauty of the everyday and to find in comfort in the unremarkable wow so you know i've been playing around shall i do it i like to play around with stuff now so um do this

rewrite rewrite for a four-year-old let's see how it comes out for a four-year-old okay i'll do it with a funny voice as well just for fun today was a fun and silly day my little ferret because all five-year-olds four-year-olds sound like this don't they my little ferret andre was being extra funny he found a tube by the wall and decided it was his new cozy spot he kept scratching and wriggling until it was just how he liked it andre even took some snacks from his bowl and hid them in the

tube for later like he was getting ready for a big ferret adventure wow this is more suitable for my my level of reading actually when i talk into my microphone to help people fall asleep i sometimes tell stories about little things like my soft pillow or my beard that's growing in funny shapes it's like i'm talking to my friends except they're all over the world and they listen to my voice to help them feel calm and sleepy isn't that cool this is my age limit this this i'm pretty got the

mental age of four-year-old wow who'd have thought i like to imagine everyone snuggling into their blankets and feeling happy andre always tries to help but he's not very quiet he's it's true well it was true he scratches and runs around making all kinds of silly noises i think he wants to be the star of the show even though he's noisy i love having him around he makes me smile every single day before i go to bed i like to lie down with one foot sticking out my blanket it's my special

way of feeling comfy then i think about all the fun things from today like andre's adventures or how i made people smile with my stories it makes my heart feel warm and cozy good night little journal tomorrow is another full day of adventures with andre okay so rewrite as a i'm gonna rewrite it rewrite as a grumpy 80 year old man okay ready for this well today was another day of the same old nonsense andre that little furball of a ferret spent the whole afternoon making a racket he found himself

a tube near the wall and he decided it's his new kingdom spent hours scratching at it rolling around like the king of the jungle and don't get me started on him stealing food from his bowl just to stash it in there what does he think this is a ferret apocalypse i sat down to record one of those sleep sessions people seem to love wow as i do sound bitter don't i don't ask me why they enjoy listening to me prattling on about nothing today i talked about my beard my pillow

and how maybe the weather makes my knees ache who knows if it helps people sleep good for them back in my day we didn't need fancy recordings to knock out we had hard work and a decent we had hard work and a decent cup of tea to do with the trick blimey andre of course didn't make it easy he's clattering around like a tiny demolition crew you'd think he'd settle down for a few minutes but no not him he's got to make sure i'm paying attention to his every move honestly

he's more trouble than he's worth sometimes but well i'd i'd miss the little rascal if he wasn't there true at night i lie i lie down i lay down with one foot stick out of the blanket not because i want to mind you because it's too hot to sleep otherwise getting old isn't for the faint-hearted at least i can still grumble about it and now if you'll excuse me i'm off to bed before andre decides to redecorate the flat again good night brilliant should i what should i do rewrite rewrite

rewrite as a um teenager so do a teenager um okay okay this is a tina going through the you know the changes the teenager oh today was whatever andre my favorite ferret has been a total weirdo again he found his old tube by the wall and basically turned it into his personal hideout he was scratching it all day like it's some kind of ferret mansion and get this he's he's only stealing food from his bowl and hiding it in there like chill out dude you're not on some survival reality show

or you haven't got to stash it away because i don't want to eat it anyway i had to record one of those sleepy things again you know people actually listen to me ramble about nothing so they can fall asleep i guess my voice is calming or whatever i talked about random stuff a lot of my stupid beard that's growing in all patchy and uneven this is literally giving me if you noticed i'm reading this stuff out it keeps poking at me receding hairline patchy beard i never i don't remember mentioning

about patchy beard it's making it up it's roasting me as we speak and that's not me this this is me speaking now like what keeps going about my patch my patchy beard all uneven it's over back to the being a teenager going through the changes i mean why can't it just grow in property already it's like my whole body is rebelling against me right now and of course andre couldn't let me record in peace nope he had to make a ton of noise running around like a little lunatic sometimes i

think he's just messing with me on purpose but then he looks so cute and snugly i can't even stay mad at him feelings are annoying what what i finally when i finally go go to bed i stick one foot out the blanket like i always do it's weirdly comforting i guess i started thinking about how weird everything feels right now like i'm not a kid anymore but i'm not really an adult either everything's changing and it's kind of frustrating and scary and exciting all at once anyway i should probably sleep

before tomorrow starts being annoying too night wow i think weird just a different um different perspectives should we do it in the i'm trying to think what's a really weird a weird format rewrite in the format of stephen king oh um oh trying to think what would be really silly really really silly rewrites as a let's have a look i'm gonna re rewrite as a wedding speech draft ladies and gentlemen family friends and ferrets thank you for all being here today now i know this is a wedding and we're here

to celebrate love and tenderness but if you know me you know i can't resist sharing a little story it's all about a quirky little ferret called andre who's taught me more about life and relationships than i'd care to admit that's true andre my mischievous companion recently decided that a random tube by the wall was his new castle he spent hours scratching rustling and stashing food there turning into his perfect little home watching him i realized something it's not about the size of the space or the grandeur of the structure it's

about the love effort and energy you put into building something meaningful and isn't that what marriage is all about creating a home a life and a future together so no matter how humble the beginnings just like a ferret of course andre being andre he didn't do it quietly he made a racket the whole time relationships much like andre's tube adventures aren't always peaceful they're messy noisy and sometimes downright annoying but at the end of the day just like i wouldn't trade andre for the world you wouldn't trade your partner because

even in the chaos there's love companionship and a bond that makes all the noise worth it blah blah blah and let's not forget the importance of humor humor whether it's tolerating each other's quirks like sticking one foot out of the blanket at night or finding joy in the most unexpected places a sense of humor will get you through the tough times if andre can make me laugh with his antics i'm confident the two of you will have plenty to smile about as you build your life together so let's raise our

glasses to the happy couple may your marriage be as lively as andre's tube fortress as enduring as a good night's sleep and as full of love as the moments that brought us here today cheers wow i mean oops perhaps i should talk about vinny now i've given enough i can get a lot of it the only reason i'm talking about andre because that he was clearly part of that recording what i'll do now i'll do another one it's not really got a lot to do with christmas is it but hey

upload transcription let's have a look so number 493 let's try another one and this is another journey intro this is 493 today was one of those days where everything felt just slightly off center but in a way that made me chuckle rather than stress as i sat down to record another episode of let me boys asleep i found myself fiddling with the knobs on my mixing desk trying to eliminate that background hum that never disappears yep i had that problem funny how even with 2 000 pounds worth of equipment perfection

seems elusive yeah isn't that just life reflecting on the effort i've put into improving sound quality made me realize how much i've grown since the early days of recording on a tablet back then the content was just as quirky but the sound let's just say it left something to be desired now as i glance around at my setup i think about sharing a photo of it on Facebook that hardly seems professional oh the setup doesn't seem professional but hey it works and that's what matters as i rambled on in today's

episode i veered into an odd train of thought about hotels luxury and the absurdity of certain indulgences a seven-star hotel in dubai costs 24 000 pound a night makes you wonder what kind of extravagance feels like what that kind of extravagance feels like i doubt i'll ever know firsthand still imagining it is a good distraction speaking of distractions i can't help but think about the foster parents who cared for me as a baby the love they gave me during those early years they stayed with me even if i don't remember

their faces i'd give anything to meet them again thank them and maybe even share a slice of cake together they know me i'd secretly hope for a mountain of presents waiting for me for the from the last 48 years which you're thinking so i was 48 when i did this anyway as the day wound down i stepped outside to test myself walking through town for the first time in months it was strange slightly overwhelming but also liberating in its own way i even treated myself to a wimpy burger a milkshake

savoring each bite like a small victory and that's not how i talk is it sometimes life feels like it's all about these small victories a good recording session a satisfying meal a moment of clarity about the things and people that truly matter i guess that's what keeps me going one rambling thought one grateful memory one laugh at my own expense at a time here's to another day of finding joy in the mundane yeah you know somewhat sometimes it kind of feels like it's something summing me up a little bit better

than i do myself giving a little bit more structure but at the same time i would never although i am reading i'm reading off a screen i'd never want to do that in reality like i would never want to make a recording and read off a screen because then that'd just be anyone could do that i don't you know i just want it to be me me me strange i'm wondering so trans trans trans transcribing transcribe i'll tell you the light's really going down it's only 23 minutes past two it's

really dull in here it's really dull so transcribing free so where is it i can't remember the name of the podcast analytics no transcribe transcribe podcast page no turbo scribe that's it so if i just have a look if i click on that let's have a look dashboard see how many i've got all right no i did wonder if it'll let me download it won't won't let me download open exporters uh pdf will it let me do that oh it has blimey so this is 950 so things have kind of

moved along a bit now 950 okay all right so let me do that one see what what i was talking about on that page on that podcast i don't know downloads 950 do same for this so this is saying this was january the 9th 2023 today felt like a whirlwind no surely that wouldn't have been i think the dates are wrong anyway today felt like a whirlwind of thoughts and moments it started with me trying to record another Let Me Bore You To Sleep episode i had my usual banter with

vinny who as always was determined to prove he's more than just a jack russell his stubbornness makes me laugh and keeps me grounded though sometimes i wonder if he's part human in a dog costume if he is he's definitely an oscar worthy actor sarcasm intended um i couldn't resist diving into stats again something about them fascinates me it's not just about numbers it's like a map of where my voice travels seeing downloads from places like thailand norway and iceland fills me with awe there are people far from my little corner

of the world lying in their beds and listening to me ramble on about nothing in particular sometimes i overanalyze these stats questioning whether they're bots or real people but then i think what does it matter it's about connection not validation speaking of connection i stumbled on an old memory today about harsh people could be online how harsh people could be online back when i started posting my content 2006 onwards some would call me a snake oil salesman for just trying to help it stung back then but now now it feels

almost laughable i've come to understand that not everyone sees the value in what i do and that's okay what matters is the quiet message i get from someone saying your voice helped me that's enough i spent part of the evening reflecting on my journey with social media once i plastered my hypnosis videos all over Facebook groups racing for the backlash and backlash i got oh yes 2011 that was yet for every criticism there were genuine connections made lives touched it's a strange world where we juggle criticism and gratitude in the

same breath as the night falls i feel content not every day has to be monumental sometimes it's about small victories finding joy in vinnie's antics marveling at the reach of my podcast or simply sharing a laugh with my listeners about the randomness of life tomorrow will bring more ramblings more connections and hopefully more moments like these give me 20 quotes 20 quotes from this transcript verbatim so this is 20 things i said that is quoting me oh yeah i listen when you can safely close your eyes so if you're driving

a plane stop listening so i said that in this podcast doesn't quite get the idea that treats are not something you get for begging that's true vinnie's like that it's like and then i've said are you sure you're not a little person inside a dog costume okay i did actually say that blindly sometimes i'm in a good mood for no reason no obvious reason i don't comply i don't complain when i'm feeling good because that would be really weird that would be weird i don't i don't have the context why

i said that if i had a diet it would ruin my diet okay that's a strange thing to say he's a lovely little dog he's good he's a good dog generally number eight a little bit discipline a little bit of he needs to know who's who the hierarchy that i'm in charge that's a joke everything goes out the window if there's a cat that's a quote i don't know what was what that was about he could almost be a show dog i mean if he was trained he possibly could be

a show dog he could although he's got a wonky ear right the weird thing is all nice the weird thing about it is you know when i say viral i mean for me it didn't have millions of views this is talking about a video um from 2011 but it went from you know the next day i had thousands of views that's viral for me i don't oh this is funny i don't get nearly enough compliments not nearly enough luckily i have no ego yeah yeah okay i've had 826 subscribers so

it's gone up by 31 in the last 28 days so that's my YouTube channel it's now 1500 i think i used to make videos before going to work or maybe i'd make one the night before i have people from just got this like it's not just numbers it's like the map of where my voice travels that's the stats it's not just numbers like a map of where my voice travels i like that that's quite a good sentence i've had some good days some big downloads and i've had some slow days

but i'm still here still rambling still connecting wow i didn't think i used the word connecting but i clearly do because that's a something that i said i'm going to give you an idea roughly what the one of the things that chat gpt can do can take bits and i can search for bits so if i just go into the thing and i say tell me about myself tell me tell me about my childhood and see what it's kept so your child is a unique story shaped by experience relationships environment

so obviously that's everyone's is family dynamics you were born august 1970 in Enfield London you have three brothers and growing up as a part of a family with siblings spread out across a decade likely had a significant impact lip impact on your experience okay parental influence okay so being born in Enfield and later right go tell about in depth tell me in depth okay so i it doesn't know about that stuff oh that's weird right what books do i like what do i like doing see if it's got any information

about that what do i like doing what do i like doing um creating hypnosis recordings podcasting and engaging in your audience with your audience relaxing and mindfulness so you've been making hypnosis and relaxation podcasts since 2006 and it's a significant part of your life you enjoy helping people relax sleep and feel better often tailoring recordings for specifically needs like pain relief or emotional support your you host several podcasts including Let Me Bore You To Sleep you take pride in making these recordings and connecting with listeners worldwide this creative outlet seems

to bring you fulfillment in us and a sense of purpose relaxation and mindfulness as a buddhist though not actively practicing in recent years in brackets thanks you likely value activities that promote mindfulness relaxation and inner peace this interest aligns with your work and personal ethos caring for animals you enjoy spending time with your jack russell vinnie you've also cared for other pets in the past like your andre ferret who was special to you animals seem to bring you comfort and companionship creative projects whether it's designing YouTube thumbnails brainstorming themes for

your podcast or working on a book about your life and work as that's been going on for about two decades not quite got there yet you seem to enjoy creative expressions and problem solving sharing knowledge and experiences your background in counseling and your openness about mental health challenges suggest you value helping others by sharing insight advice and support i'm not sure about advice don't really give anyone advice relax activities at home given your interest in relaxation and low-key activities you probably enjoy things like watching movies reading or simply having a

quiet day at home with vinnie doesn't mention boxing which is weird but maybe i've i've not i haven't got information about that that i have not mentioned it in the stuff that they've got helping and supporting others you've mentioned creating specific hypnosis recordings to support people like helping a friend undergoing surgery or those dealing with chemotherapy often kindness and practical help to others helping others seems to be something you care about deeply okay wow so yeah i sound almost like a nice person but i'm not no no no no no

i'm really not my dinner's ready yet uh where's me dinner 13 42 well i've had a few missed calls so i'm gonna have to give them a call it's just hard because if i'm doing if i'm making a recording when i'm making a record squeaking my chair when i make a recording i have my phone on mute so i miss calls but because it's christmas day i kind of i kind of half expect to be left alone a bit but i seem to have had more contact than normal it's already

had someone come around um i've seen people walking around like with the dogs and stuff i've had a few conversations like a couple of conversations on the phone other people contacting me a couple of people gonna be phoning me back later and it's almost a little bit more full-on than a normal day but it's all right i'm not gonna complain but it's uh it's now half past two nearly three o'clock so i think i'm gonna as i said it's not a long recording and i just waffled on and just gave

you a little idea about what i'm perhaps going to do with the recordings so i thought i could do is if i put there's a few ways of thinking about doing it i'd like to write a book about my life it's difficult in a sense of you know because i'm so old now it's quite difficult to put it all into a book but not just that to make it interesting especially as i'm the opposite to being interesting am i so i don't know would anyone want to read a really boring

book unless i literally call it Let Me Bore You To Sleep stories to fall asleep to and i could just give my lifestyle to talk about my life and just have 54 chapters one chapter for each year i don't know or i was thinking maybe write a book for each month of recordings so like a journal and just but not release it as a written book like with paper but as a i don't know downloadable pdf file or kindle file something like that we'll see i don't i'm not sure i'm

newer sure there might be a book inside my head somewhere but at the same time i wanted i want it to be original and i do want it to be my own words that's why i'm going to base what i do upon what i've talked about in my podcasts over the last seven years it's just the case of trying to sift through all of that stuff there's a lot of stuff yeah i mean there are ways potentially of going through it and it's just some of it is a little bit

expensive and there's ways of transcribing the audio and then deleting parts of the audio on the screen so then i could put together one recording just of me talking about um i don't know working the pub when i was 18 just any anything that i've mentioned about that over the years that can all go into one i mean it might just be a three minute recording or a 10 minute recording but it might be an hour i might have talked about it for a whole hour for you know in bits

and bobs bits and pieces so yeah i could kind of like just break it down into categories and then turn it into some kind of a book hmm i will see but basically happy christmas that's this is my christmas recording it's a little bit different from a normal a little bit but um yeah it's all right it's all groovy groovy groovy groovy so i'm gonna go thank you for listening remember to be kind to yourself be gentle with yourself because you do deserve to be happy and viddy knows as soon

as i say that he's getting ready to do something he knows when i say these words i want to stand up in fact i'm gonna stand up and see if he barks then i won't actually no i can't really include that can i i won't do that then probably not a good ending to a recording if i just have him barking loudly by the way i watched a movie today called flappy ears flappy ears of a penguin um carry on it's called carry on jason bateman bateman jason bateman yeah and

some other people it's it's a good movie it's on Netflix so i'm gonna go take care bye bye you know i'm gonna try and go and i'm gonna try i think i might try and um do try and do one recording every day for the entire year try it's possible i might be able to do it i might you don't know anyway i'm gonna go take care bye don't say goodbye then don't say goodbye say goodbye say bye
