My name is Jason Newland, please only listen when you can safely close your eyes and this is Let Me Bore You To Sleep and today the 19th of April 2025, it's a Saturday so it's the Saturday Summary. This is kind of where I talk about what's happened this week, although I can't remember anything. I need to start making notes.

Just a summary of the week and let you know my website has all my recordings on it and I have it's only quarter past seven. But at the top, I've also got request a custom recording, a form at the top of the page. So what I might do is exactly the same thing. As I don't know that page.

There are more people that view the group, but not actually seem to be members. It's weird, because anyone like they've joined, but they're not asked to join because they've been sent invitations. It says here invited by Jason Newland hypnotist on Tuesday.

I have not sent any invitation invitations. I've not sent any invitations out to anyone for months and months. I occasionally do the accord or like just send out loads of invites to the people on my Facebook page.

But again, number one, Jason Newland hypnotist invited on Tuesday, Montserrat. So I really don't know. So welcome.

But those those have been invited don't seem to be down. They're not they're not within the 215. Oh, intro.

So it's now saying Montserrat has never been a member of Jason Newland's boring group. So that's weird. That's the introduction, which is a bit weird.

So I don't know why it's saying joined next to it. But hey, it's fine. Just seems a bit strange.

Oh, it's the locked profiles. I can't go on there. Fair enough.

So I just Yeah, I don't quite know. Oh, how strange. Amogha Vajra, my friend invited a week ago.

I did not invite. Is this group just randomly inviting people? I think it might be, you know. It's never been a member of Jason Newland's boring group.

And I'm not even friends of him on Facebook. I generally don't have any friends. Generally, really, but I don't have any, any real life friends on Facebook.

Generally. It's you know, the Facebook was always for but the stuff I do online always has been. I started off having friends on there, you know, like everyone did, but it wasn't.

That wasn't what I was trying to do. I remember, blimey. When I deleted some like real life people, they took it like real.

Actually had someone from the past that was on there. Someone I didn't I guess I didn't really see very regularly. Hadn't seen for ages.

But I deleted that but I still care. I was going to still keep in contact. And she, she told me off and didn't want to know me.

Because I deleted her from Facebook. And I'd already had like, I had the, the contact. So we've been, I'm texting or messaging each other.

So I continue to message her said, No, you deleted me. Like, yeah. Because I've had some strange ones on Facebook contacting some of my real life people.

I had someone actually contact my goddaughters, who were teenagers at the time. And so I had to, I got rid of those, I deleted them off my Facebook. There is a reason for it.

I don't have my family or friends on Facebook. I keep it separate. Vinnie's been weird, weirder than normal.

I don't really know what his deal is. He's just never, he's got, he hasn't touched his food all day. And I'm refusing to put out new food for him.

I just don't want to. I mean, hasn't been out there all day. We've been there a few hours.

Won't touch it. I just don't understand. If I didn't give him so many treats, maybe.

Yeah, that might. I don't think it might be the issue. I think it is the thing.

So I'm going to go go back to that requested recordings edit. Why is it such small writing? Episode limit nine episode limit. There's no limit.

How can there be a limit? I suppose a limit and then you can add more descending container left. In a space in vertical title font size. Well, we have a title font size.

That's what it was. So if I update it to 2020, I need to know what it was for all the others. Was it what was it for the others? Vital font title font size.

Pretty much. Oh, well. So yeah, what have I done this week? What have I done this week? I did quite a few recordings, that's for sure.

Although the last couple of days have been a little bit a bit poor, but a poor showing. Having quite a I haven't had my mojo really the last few days. But it's all right.

When was last Sunday? Last Sunday was the 13th. So Saturday now so since the 13th of April, I've done 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12. So this is the 13th recording I've done since last Sunday, including Sunday.

So since last Saturday, I guess. So it's not too bad, is it? Let's go through what I've done. Let's have a look.

13th, 13th, 13th. So I did ASMR balanced, deep sleep whisper 534. That was Sunday.

How long did that last? 28, 29 minutes. Then on the same day, it's kind of weird. I don't normally not usually too active on a Sunday.

I did strange techniques, which was let me bore your pain away number 21. That lasted 58 minutes, 51 seconds. And then I did Let Me Bore You To Sleep number 1327.

Sunday papers that lasted one hour and 17 minutes. And then the next day, which would be Monday, negotiation, which was let me bore your pain away number 22. That's an hour and four minutes.

The same day, Monday's boring objects. That was two hours, two hours and five minutes. Wow.

And then Tuesday. Let me bore your pain away number 2345 minutes. The same day trivia Tuesday.

So Let Me Bore You To Sleep 1329 or LMB YTS. Just shorter title, I guess. And then I was a 15th Wednesday, Whisper Wednesday, hour and 17 minutes.

Wednesday, the 16th. Yeah, I also did. Let me bore your pain away 24, which was rewind.

Then on the same day, I did another one. Let me bore your performance performance anxiety away. And so that was the that was an hour and 12 minutes or hour and 13 minutes.

In Thursday, the 17th. Let me bore you pain away number 25 earnest. And an hour and 40 minutes.

But I did also do six versions of each of these recordings. And then yesterday. Technically, although literally, it wasn't yesterday, but I did Q&A Friday yesterday.

I put yesterday's date on but did it today. Because I had a little bit of drama to do with yesterday. And that was two hours and 24 minutes.

And that was Let Me Bore You To Sleep number 1331. So this is 1332. I need to start marking these.

I don't know, like an anniversary or something, like do an anniversary of when I did the very first recording of these. Maybe did I do a fifth anniversary? I'm sure I did a first or a second anniversary. And then I did a like celebrate getting 1000 having done 1000 recordings for this podcast.

And now I'm on the way to 1500. I suppose won't be that long. So I don't really want to wait until it's 2000 to mark that.

But then if it's seven years, I will probably reach the 2000. No, we're like, because I'm just thinking, even one a day is only 360 something in it. So 365 I know.

And so three. So I'm probably going to reach 1500 by the end of this year, if maybe if a little bit more depends on doing every day. I've been pretty good recently.

And it's going to take another two years to get to 2000. Preset. Yes.

So you're looking at another two and a half years to get to the end of what's the year now? 2025. Next year is 2026. So I'll be 55 this year.

Don't let that put you off me. It puts me off me blimey 55. I'll be 55 at the end of this year.

Well, end of August, but I'll also still be 55 at the end of this year. I bet 79 today. Happy birthday to daddy.

57 369 so even if i do one every day it's going to take three years to do a thousand pretty much let me boy just sleeps so we work it out 57 58 59 60 so i'll if i do one nearly every day i'll have 3 000 recordings done by the time i'm 60 so i'll time 63 4 000 by the time i'm 64 65 66 5 000 i'll be 66 years old 60 66 56 5 000 mind you 5 000 is quite a lot it is a lot i mean

blimey and that's not just 5 000 altogether because there's six versions of each recording but that's 5 000 individual recordings plus all the other thousands of recordings i've done as well separate to that and like different recordings not the ones with music and that so whatever i do between now and when i'm 66 you can divide that by six just for the Let Me Bore You To Sleep and then you can also add i don't know if i do one different recording for something else every three recordings i do for

Let Me Bore You To Sleep so that's going to be another one and a half thousand maybe recording so i'll have wow i wonder if there'll be enough space i wonder who knows podcasts might not even exist when i'm 66 laptops would probably be a thing of the past there'll be some new technology um so i don't really know although earlier on i went to the park had a delivery coming so i went to the park with his majesty down there and i thought you know what i need to do

i need to send a message because a friend of mine sent vinnie a cake like a little easter cake like a doggy cake so i thought i need to i'd already told her that he'd um she asked me because i didn't know who it was from so i spoke to her anyway and she said is he eating it i said yeah yeah but i was filming him and he wouldn't touch it he was licking it but it's like there but he's like he didn't want to touch it but when my

friend was here a different friend yesterday afternoon late afternoon i didn't even know it he was he was eating it not not my friend vinnie then he was eating the cake he ate it all up and i was looking around on the floor i was like have you seen that cake he said yeah he's been eating it didn't even notice so the fact that i didn't have my camera poked sticking up his nose probably helped i mean i can get the food into my mouth now you remove you remove the

camera he does not be on camera so what i thought i'd do while i was out i had to have my phone with me because i needed to know if anyone knocked on the door because i got a door camera so that i can make sure i'm back and also keep track of the app to see where they are you know if it says five minutes away then i'll make my way home that was a lot of information wasn't it so i thought you know what i'll send some messages i

don't don't normally i don't walk around the streets with my head in my phone you know it's but i probably used to do maybe i used to years and years ago when it was a novelty but generally it's not really for me not that bothered and i don't even make phone calls when i'm outside generally unless i get a phone call and i've got my phone on me anyway i thought you know what while i've got my phone on me i'll send a text message to my friend to let her

know that he ate all the cake up because vinnie was pulling on one hand not his hand my hand the lead was around one hand but it was the hand that i use because i i type with my left hand i don't type with my right hand or i'll type apart from when i do type with my right hand okay what i mean is i use my left thumb when i use a phone but if i type i'll either use my left thumb or i will use my right finger as

a hold phone does that make sense it's the same when i use the remote control i use my left hand for remote control and that's made me think that some people might might look at that and think yeah that's because in the past you've used a remote control with your left hand and you got used to it and i'm thinking no can we move away from that but that might be true but let's move away from that shall we yes thanks but i do i just i'm right-handed but i use

my left hand for remote control and for using the phone and also use my left hand i hold the phone to my left ear as well if i have to i never and i never on loudspeaker from my home but if i'm out i will put the phone to my left ear never to my right ear unless it's a long conversation and my right ear is starting to get really warm which phones have a tendency of doing so yeah that's why i don't generally have them in my ear and so

i sent this text but i thought you know what i was too distracted because i had the yeah i had him with my left hand holding my left hand so i had the phone in my left hand and i was trying to type but he was pulling me all around i was trying to type with my with my right finger just one of the the pointy finger you know the one you point at people with you know when you disapprove of someone you point at them in public and maybe you

nod your head like side to side with disappointment that that finger and i just thought i know what i'm gonna test something because i could send an i message i'm gonna use the microphone so i read out this whole thing it's just i didn't read out i just said what i wanted to say and i sent i get home and i read it and i thought oh it didn't didn't type it out the way that i wanted it to come out and i basically sent another message and just told her

it was a dictated message and she said oh i just read it don't worry i've got the gist i think so what came out i was just saying to her well this is what it came out as in typing hiya happy easter by the way vinnie loved the cake so that was one sentence the first you wouldn't touch it you licked it pushed it away like you didn't want it and then then later on he just coped it all up it's almost like i was filming him he didn't want me

to film the meeting as soon as i turned the camera off and turned away anyway have a good weekend bye that's a strange message it just by anyone's standards that's a bit of a strange message to send you know feeling love the cake the first you wouldn't touch it you licked it you pushed away like you didn't want it and then later on like weird so i like a c i read it back i just it looked fine when i was outside just the only thing i was concerned about is

would it have enough full stops because you know i'm one of those people still i realize that punctuation is on its way out but i try to i try to use punctuation most of the time i don't always but i try to i try to at least break up the sentences because to have one some people text they don't have no sentences no sentences is just one paragraph and it's still a you know i'm still able to figure out what's being said but it's a little bit of a okay but

this actually instead of he licked it and he pushed it away i put you licked it pushed it away like you didn't want it it's it's weird so i kind of even apologize i just maybe i should have done actually think about it but i just said i dictated that machine i dictated that i dictated that message it didn't come out perfect and i still managed to put did t come out perfect and i typed that one in or did i type it i might have just read it out yeah

that would but that would be not learning wouldn't it i'm trying to move away from the not learning part of my life learn something new every day you know what earlier on i saw this thing because i love watching lectures on chronic pain it's weird but for me that's more exciting than watching a hollywood blockbuster it's strange i don't understand it but i just feel so relaxed when i listen i do i really feel relaxed when i listen to lectures like that and learning something it's nice or being reminded of

what i already know kind of almost cementing that learning maybe putting it into my long-term memory maybe i don't know it's just yeah it's really interesting and he says something that this bloke says something that i'd already talked about in my in one of my recordings about the car alarm so it's talking about like chronic pain being like a faulty car alarm now i'd never heard that before this is the first time i've watched this video but maybe i had heard it before maybe there's no originality in me who knows

i might have done but i felt it was quite a good analogy and then he comes out with the same analogy and he did a much better job than me which is annoying but then he is a professional mind you he described it in probably four minutes i spent 55 minutes doing it so i probably i would sound a bit more thorough a bit more thorough but then if you just cut out all the the faffing and the the non-sequential perhaps pointless parts vinnie's just farted just want to let you

know it was not me it might actually come down to about two minutes if you cut out all the faff so what have i done this week what have i done apart from making recordings sunday well all day sunday i was making recordings so there wasn't a lot going on there monday um i felt like the first part of the week i was making recordings that's what i was doing all week i was basically making recordings with every recording i make there's a lot of stuff to do after the recording

is done and yeah it's not just like spending an hour making recording and that's it there's all the editing processing all the different little bits uploading so it takes a couple of hours and if not more probably two to three hours for everything to be done for each recording after it's been recorded so yes it's quite uh if i do two recordings that's probably a good seven hours six seven eight hours i mean a lot of some of that is just me doing nothing it's just waiting for it to upload

so it's not really anything it's not work but it's just time consuming and when it's uploading i can't do anything else really with well depending on what i'm using i mean if i can use the data on my phone on my iPad to upload stuff then i can then use the normal broadband for other stuff so it's not too bad in fact it's quicker it's quicker than the broadband so i'm with three with both the broadband and the mobile phone and the mobile phone data is quicker that's just wacky isn't

it doesn't make sense let me test it i'll show you where is it there was a speedy thing speed speed speed speed check that's it so i'm going to start a speed test so this is testing the download and then it'll do the upload right it's doing it's finished the download now it's doing the upload for me the upload is more important because that's what i spend most time doing uploading recordings and now there's some game i don't want that i don't want that game how do i get rid of

it i don't want it have i got to watch it for like 30 seconds before i can get rid of it that's just ridiculous i don't want i don't want it it keeps giving me games i don't want games it's saying done but it's not giving me any way out of it okay speech done it's not letting me out what that's dodgy very dodgy nope in fact goodbye remove app i don't want that on my phone anymore i was getting about 18 megabytes a second upload and roughly 40 download which

is okay i mean i'm pretty sure time will come where it'll just be instant maybe not anytime soon but it'll just start upload upload download it's like bing that's it done which would be very strange because i'm like okay don't know what to do now i'm used to just sitting here waiting sometimes i'll time it almost like if i've got something in the oven i'll time it by how long it takes for something to upload so if i'm uploading say i'm uploading 12 recordings like two different podcasts and uploading them

by the time that's done it's time to go and check the dinner but if it's instant mind you do maybe thanks finn maybe the um cookers will be instant like bang like instant cooked food but that'd be like atomic though wouldn't it that'd be like an atomic oven not just a microwave that'd be an atomic wave so yeah not sure how you know what i mean yeah yeah i'm not sure about that one i'd love to see how things work out in the future because i was just thinking two things

have happened this year with robotic not this year this week just in the last couple of days in robotics in china they had robots competing in a half half marathon but there was a controller running behind them with a remote control so that put me off a little bit because i thought well i know they're not going to be autonomous yet but i thought they'd at least be able to run and be able to if a car can drive self-drive then a robot perhaps should be able to self-run like walk

or run and sort of be able to detect where to go but i don't know anything about it so what do i know nothing really i suppose and then there was another one oh what was that in it was a different thing it was a different thing oh i can't remember what this was but there was another robot and i think it might have been in japan or um okay i'm going to look this up because it's going to bug me new robotics technology this week this week this week news

okay what two days ago how innovative robots could soon be doing operations uh okay chinese robots ran against humans in world's first humanoid half marathon they lost by a mile okay they're an hour slower than the humans the fastest humans but i don't think that's really point was it what is it i saw maybe it was maybe that's what it was uh the operation robotics with potential to transform surgery approved for nhs use in england i saw something what did i see though and that's gonna bug me mind over machine

scientists develop robotic arm controlled by imagination that's oh that was a robotic arm i saw this on tv it was uh on i think like the morning morning show thing on like british tv and it was this young young lady she was born with without hands i think something like that and she had i found getting a bit mud up middle up middle muddled up middle little muddled muddled up between two different people because i remember seeing two different things very similar but basically she's got this robotic arm or she

got two she might have two because i saw one person with two robotic arms and i saw one person with one robotic arm and controlled by their brain it's just i don't know it blows my mind i find that stuff so exciting just so exciting like really um because my next door neighbor when i was about eight seven and eight had one arm and he's among the nicest people i ever met in my life he was probably about my brother's age my my older brother so he's a couple years older

than me his little sister was probably a couple years younger than me and both his parents were lovely as well the whole family were just lovely and and they lived next door to my nan and granddad for 20 30 20 odd years and we lived next to them first then my nan and granddad moved into the house so i saw them through that period i mean to start with i used to go around there and play with the little girl we'll go and play go and see her because i was

friends with her i was friends with the lad as well but he was older but she was more my age group really and then she became older i was going down there for different reasons to be honest because she was just gorgeous and it was really weird because first of all when she was about 10 8 9 10 11 12 whatever his friends she used to keep hanging around with his friends and his friends would say can you leave her home just come get rid of her she's annoying once she

hit like 13 14 they were coming around his his friends were coming around because of her because or when she was 16 17 i don't know but they would come because like she was a beautiful woman and they were just really this weird but it's strange because i've known her for so long last time i saw her was about last time i saw her it was actually last time i saw her was probably about 15 years ago but i saw her properly in 1990 and i was hanging out with her

a little bit and she was i guess what was i 20 20 she was probably about 17 at that time and she literally had like a queue of boys outside her flat or outside her house where she lived they just like honestly they was like asking her out one after another i didn't even bother but she didn't see me i think she's probably and i kind of saw her as almost like a cousin really to be honest i don't know i'm not a cousin but just like a family friend but

she was a family friend yeah but it's weird i don't know why i'm thinking of her i tell you what is weird about okay this is weird and psycho is it psychogenetics is that the book i read psycho psychogenetics i don't think that's the word psycho self-help self-help book book so psycho no that's not the one it's not called psycho it's called so blimey i've got it i have to look it up now this is going to bug me if i don't look it up it's on my there's no don't

worry this all makes sense well let me have a look i'm just going to find this book so psi psycho it was is it psycho cybernetics psycho cybernetics yeah it is blimey i do remember it by maxwell maltz i first read that in 2001 anyway it just talks about how he's basically he's a plastic surgery surgeon and instead of just making loads of money as they do he started he realized something he noticed that after having surgery their personality changed the it changed like sometimes completely like they became almost like
