Hello, welcome to jasonnewland.com. My name is Jason and this is your daily relaxation, hypnosis for stress, anxiety and panic attacks.

I try and do a different session every day every day to give some variety you know so that you can hopefully get to a level of relaxation through different means so that you're not dependent upon one specific technique and also you may find yourself coming up with new techniques new ideas of getting to the same place maybe something that suits your internal world more because I can do a session with the hope that you'll follow along and you know I can't know what your internal world is like because we all

experience the world differently we all have different thoughts going on inside our minds so if you was face to face with me I could find out a bit about you and adapt what I do accordingly but I'm not able to do that in these sessions so I'll try and do something different with the hope that I can reach more people that's it really I thought I'd just mention that so I'd like you, if you can,

to get into a comfortable position sitting down in a comfortable chair ideally one with sides you know arm rests so that if you do fall asleep you're safe or lying down in a bed or some kind of comfortable flat surface close your eyes if it is safe for you to do so and with this session what I'm going to do is just focus on what kind of do the opposite maybe to what sometimes hypnosis tapes and videos and cds do so instead of focusing on what is perhaps wrong or maybe

a feeling that you don't want to have and then trying to transform it into a feeling that you do want to have I'm not going to do it with this session I'm going to actually focus or we're going to actually focus on a part of your body that actually has a feeling of relaxation or a feeling of pleasure something that some kind of feeling that you enjoy that you you know feel good so it can be anywhere in your body you choose that part and so instead of trying to cause

the back of your neck your chest your arms your forehead your legs your you know feet your hands all those different parts your stomach your back you know those parts that perhaps we would normally focus on in order to cause some kind of relaxation reaction today we're just going to focus on a part of your body which is already relaxed or the most relaxed part of your body and that's all we're going to do I'm not going to do anything else okay and as you focus on that one part you

can then notice what happens to the rest of your body so we will be focusing on the other parts of your body but just as a gauge just to see how it's changed but most of the focus is going to be on a specific part of your body so if you choose a part that feels relaxed with your eyes closed it could be it could be your right shoulder it could be your left knee it could be your eyelids it could be whatever part of you that feels the most relaxed

right now out of your entire body the most relaxed so you might need to do a kind of a body scan to start with so I'll go through your body starting at the top of your head moving down to your toes and just focus on each part and when we get to your toes you'll have chosen a part that feels the most relaxed so it just gives you an opportunity to really just get in touch firstly with how you feel in this moment and also you can notice which part of

your body feels the most relaxed and if it's a part of the body which I haven't mentioned or don't mention during this session you can still focus on that part because when I talk about the part that you're focusing on I won't be naming a part because I won't know what it is so with your eyes closed I'd just like you to focus firstly on your breath you know we breathe from the moment we're born our entire life breathing it's kind of the one thing that we do for our entire

life it's also something that quite a lot of the time we're unaware of because it happens automatically so there can be great benefit from being mindful of your breath just being aware of it but you're not trying to control the breath see if you were jogging like I used to go running and jogging I used to kind of control my breath so it was very even so I perhaps breathe out on certain times or if you're in the gym you'd breathe out when you lifted a weight you know so it's

certain times we do control our breath or if you're smoking if people smoke they control their breath people that use inhalers so there are ways that we do control our breath and try to slow it down and try to speed it up and those kinds of things maybe try to catch your breath at times but in this instance there's no control needed it's not needed at all it's all about just accepting your breath for how it is there's no stress or pressure to do anything but be aware of your breathing

and I do realize that sometimes when you concentrate on your breath you're breathing you know going in and going out it's natural to sometimes try and kind of control the breathing in and the breathing out to maybe take more oxygen in to maybe breathe out more and there are breathing techniques connected with relaxation breathing techniques can connected with yoga even with meditation and I guess various other kinds of things exercises and techniques that breathing is used for but this isn't one of them this is just being with your breath because

your breathing happens naturally you don't have to do anything for it to occur you just have to be alive that's it and as you notice the breathing as the oxygen enters your body your lungs you can feel the rise of your chest maybe the rise of your stomach as well maybe you can feel your shoulders lifting up and then when you breathe out you can feel your chest maybe going inside a bit loosening the stomach loosening and maybe your shoulders moving down a little bit and just by focusing on your

breath there's a calming sensation that naturally arises in your mind because it's giving your mind a little break just a little little rest where all your mind has to do is just focus on the breath you're not counting the breath you're not trying to do anything with it you're not saying any words as you breathe you're just breathing remember to only do this as long as it's comfortable you know anything that I say that we can do you don't have to do anything it's just a suggestion as you focus on

your breath you can just be in touch with how you feel and your breathing will continue to be there and in a way there's kind of I'm gonna say 80% of your attention can go on the different body parts that we're going to mention but 20% can still be focused on your breathing just being aware of the breathing again not trying to change it not trying to control it just monitoring it just watching it observing the in-breath and the out-breath as we focus first of all the top of your head

your skull your scalp top of your head all the way down the sides of your head where your ears are the back of your head which leads to the back of your neck just being aware of how that part feels notice how the back of your neck feels notice how your forehead feels noticing how your eyelids and eyes feel noticing how your mouth and your tongue feel noticing how your jaw feels feels moving down to your neck and your throat noticing how your throat feels noticing how your chest feels and

your stomach as well noticing how your stomach feels noticing how your shoulders feel your arms elbows moving all the way down to your wrists notice how your arms feel completely all the way down the full extent of your arms moving into your hands and your fingers noticing how your hands and fingers feel noticing how your hands and fingers feel being aware of that feeling from the top of your neck moving all the way down to your hips that whole area of your back which includes your spine your upper back the

middle of your back and your lower back notice how that part feels how do your hips feel your buttocks and your groin noticing how your groin feels noticing your legs your thighs your knees moving down to your calf muscles and your shins your ankles so how do the your legs feel the entirety of your legs right from the top all the way down to where your feet start how do they feel right now how does your feet feel the tops of your feet the bottoms the heels and your toes your

toes how does that feel now in your feet and then turning your attention back to your breathing a hundred percent back to what you were focused on before being aware of your breathing not trying to change it not trying to do anything with it but just being aware just noticing how your mind feels now and now i'd like you to just think back to the different parts of your body that we focused on and choose a part that feels the most relaxed or maybe there's a part that we didn't focus

on that feels the most relaxed a part that maybe gives you pleasure or maybe feels pleasurable right now and we're going to focus on that part and the breathing will just continue on its own without any attention and as we focus on that part of your body now the part that has that natural relaxed feeling in abundance just be aware of that feeling with a hundred percent of your awareness focusing just on that part of your body just being aware of it and noticing that the more awareness you give it

the stronger that sensation becomes more relaxed giving you more pleasure and then you gain more confidence in your ability to relax deeply because if you can do it in one part of your body you can feel relaxed and calm in every part of your body easily and naturally focusing again on that part noticing how that part feels right now really focusing on it and now moving that focus from 90% to that part of your body and then with 10% of your focus focus on the rest of your body and notice

what happens there notice how the rest of your body is starting to feel I'm not going to give you suggestions for your the rest of your body to feel deeply relaxed I just want you to notice it for yourself see what naturally happens just see what naturally occurs when you focus on that one part of your body that is completely relaxed and calm and gives you pleasure and as you focus on that part notice what happens to the rest of your body and moving that focus from 90% down to 80%

on that part of your body the thing is that part of your body is increasing its strength of feeling so even when you decrease your focus on that part it feels just as relaxed and just as calm if not more than before you now focus 20% on the rest of your body giving 20% of your mind to focus on the rest of your body being aware and just allowing yourself to kind of hover over all the different parts of your body just checking just noticing noticing changes as they naturally occur

now focusing on that part of your body the part that you are focusing 80% on the part that's got complete relaxation pleasure comfort confidence confidence and now focus just 50% on that part and allow yourself to focus 50% on the rest of your body notice what happens to the rest of your body as you focus 50% and notice the changes that naturally occur in all the parts of your body from your eyes your jaw the back of your neck your throat your chest your back your lower back your stomach your

hands fingers and arms shoulders and legs ankles and feet and toes just noticing as you focus 50% on those other parts of your body notice what naturally happens as now you focus 10% on that particular part the part that's completely relaxed and calm completely pleasurable giving just 10% of focus there but 90% of your focus to the rest of the body just notice what happens naturally and easily and now return your focus 100% to your entire body and enjoy that feeling that feeling of deep relaxation calmness serenity and pleasure and

maybe you can let me know how it felt for you so i'm going to count from one to three when i get to three you can open your eyes feeling alert happy confident and deeply relaxed one two becoming more aware of your body and your surroundings two three open your eyes just notice how you feel and enjoy that feeling thank you for watching and i will see you again tomorrow bye
