Hello and welcome to Relax and Sleep Hypnosis Daily. My name's Jason Newland. Please only listen when you can safely close your eyes.
There's not really much for you to do. I'm just gonna talk. I'm gonna ask you to imagine a few things and to allow yourself, to give yourself permission to relax.
The idea that you'll either be sitting in a chair that supports your body or lying down on your bed or flat surface. Make sure you're wearing loose clothing. And if you listen to my recordings regularly you may have noticed that you start to feel relaxed as soon as I start talking.
You begin to notice that the muscles in the back of your neck start to just calm down, smooth out the muscles in your eyes. In fact, you may find that your eyes become very heavy very quickly. Maybe you just decide to close your eyes because it feels more relaxing.
You may notice if you're lying down that the bed is supporting your body. That your body can both feel heavy and relaxed and also have a sense of floating at the same time. Knowing that you're supported by the bed and the bed is supported ultimately by the earth.
You may notice how your feet feel. You may be aware of how your hands feel. Other things that you might become aware of is things like the temperature of the room.
Noticing maybe there's a cool breeze on your face. Noticing any sounds outside of the room. Perhaps there's traffic sounds.
Sound of a next-door neighbor's dog in the distance. A plane going over the house. Those normal everyday sounds tend to just gradually move further away until you don't seem to even notice them anymore.
Or even if you do, you just don't care. Maybe you're aware of your breathing slowing down. And that's something that I've noticed over the years.
I don't really do much in the way of breathing exercises. I don't do yoga. If you saw my belly you'd see why.
I look like a beached whale when I'm doing yoga. And I remember the yoga teacher, she said to me I was struggling to get up and I said I didn't know whether to help you up or roll you back into the sea. And I don't focus on my breathing.
As such in a way of controlling it. Like holding my breath and then letting go or breathing quickly three times and stuff like that. I don't do that in these recordings.
And part of the reason I don't is because I didn't find them hugely useful, you know, during my anxiety days. Because it was the breathing, focusing on the breathing seemed to, it didn't improve my level of comfort. And that was just a personal thing for me.
And because I'm talking to people around the world, I try to make these recordings as usable for as many people as possible. But what I will say regarding breathing is even if you don't do breathing exercises, what you may notice, and I've noticed this, is after a little time of your body relaxing, your mind slowing down, I noticed that I can actually breathe easier. My breathing is deeper.
And there's no, there's no way that I'm trying to control it. I'm not trying to breathe deeply. I'm just breathing normally.
But this, it's almost like my lungs open up. And as your body relaxes, your lungs just open up naturally. And maybe other parts of your body, other organs in your body, start also to work better than before.
Maybe the blood flow is easier. Your blood pressure goes down to a healthier level. Your heartbeat, I imagine, would slow down.
It's natural. The more relaxed you are, the slower the pulse. These are just things that you don't need to try and control because they don't work.
They happen naturally. And being able to take a really big breath, completely fill my lungs, it feels nice, refreshing, healthy. And at no point do I hold my breath.
No, I don't try and force the air into my lungs or force the air out of my lungs. Just breathe in and out naturally. No, no, I don't always breathe in and out that quickly as I did just then.
But even though I'm talking to you, I can notice that the breathing has not only opened up, the airwaves have opened up. There's that. Tension has relieved itself, has reduced.
But it feels as though breathing more clearly is clearing away the stress and tension from inside my body. Clearing away the negative thinking and any kind of distress and anxiety from inside your body. Exhaling that and breathing in positivity, healing, energy.
Now, in the past, I used to do this quite a lot. I'd breathe in relaxation and exhale negative thoughts. I'd also almost imagine breathing in white, like white light, and breathing out dark smoke.
But it doesn't have to be that way. It can be however you want it to be. Just the idea of breathing in healing energy, almost in a way, kind of even without saying it out loud.
Breathing in negative thoughts means that negative energy is released when you breathe out. It's implied. And even if you're not actually focusing on the feeling of healing, relaxation, entering your body when you breathe naturally, it can still happen.
You can still gain from those benefits of relaxation spreading throughout your body. And because that healing energy is mixed with your breath, mixed with the oxygen, life-giving oxygen, and because that's then sent around your body and your blood to oxygenate your blood and the different parts of your body that need that oxygenated blood, your brain, your hands, your legs, feet and toes, your back, stomach and chest, shoulders, arms, hands and fingers, the whole of your face, your scalp, every part of you benefits from breathing in that healing energy of deep, deep relaxation.
Deep healing calmness.
And it could feel nice to know that you have decided to allow yourself to experience more of this healing energy, spreading into your mind, slowing down your mind, even calming those thoughts. Relaxing your brain and you may begin to notice that actually the level of positivity within you is much higher than it was before, which gives you a sense of well-being, both physically and emotionally, feeling peaceful and optimistic towards the future, not just the next few hours, but also the coming years and months, knowing that with the right mindset of positivity and calmness, there are no limits to what you can achieve for your own happiness.
And what you may start to notice in the coming days, is that this feeling, this feeling of calmness, relaxation, positivity, positivity starts to pop up at times when you least expect it.
You may be doing something or you may be with someone, and you start to notice that you feel good, that you feel positive, you feel relaxed, not just in your body, but also in your mind. And it's a nice feeling to know that this has just come about because of its own accord.
And the more often you feel completely relaxed and peaceful, the easier it is to let go completely and enjoy that sense of every muscle in your body relaxing deeply as your mind slows down, allowing you to think more clearly, with the opportunity to really look forward to the future, feeling relaxed, feeling calm, feeling optimistic, feeling more positive every day, more positive every day, and each day and night you can gradually become even more relaxed when you need to let go completely, and each day you'll find it becomes so easy to slow down your mind and relax every part of your body, relax every part of your body, letting go completely.
