Hello and welcome to Relax and Sleep Hypnosis Daily. Please only listen when you can safely close your eyes. My name is Jason Newland.
My website is jasonnewland.com. I have quite a few different podcasts all available on pretty much every place that you can listen to podcasts such as iTunes, Spotify, Stitcher, Luminosity, pretty much everywhere. There may be some background sounds. That's just part of the fun and games of making a recording during the day.
So I'd like you to get yourself comfortable sitting down or lying down and get into that mindset where you know, you know that you are going to relax. And if sleeping is the reason for listening to this, you know that you are going to fall asleep. Having that mindset is the equivalent of giving yourself a hypnotic suggestion.
And when you know that you are going to relax in all the parts of your body, just going to gradually soften your eyes, your jaw, shoulders, arms, legs, hands, feet, toes and fingers, your back, chest and stomach, every part will become more relaxed. And when you know that, you believe that and there's nothing stronger than belief. And you know that you can relax.
You know that you've relaxed in the past. You also know that you can sleep, because you have slept in the past. Otherwise you wouldn't be here.
Humans can't survive without sleeping. So you have slept. We all have.
You might not have been getting the amount that you feel that you require lately. But we all sleep eventually. We all relax, because relaxation is the majority of falling asleep.
The more relaxed you become, the closer to that place in your mind where you start to drift. And it becomes a little bit harder to really make sense of the world in a sense of drifting. You might have an idea in your mind and just drifting and you're coming back to that idea.
And you can't hold on to anything because once you start to drift towards sleep, there's nothing to hold on to. You just move forward. You move closer towards that feeling, that familiar feeling, where you just know that there's no turning back.
You just know that even if you wanted to get up and open your eyes and you just can't. You're just so tired. It's almost as if your body goes to sleep first and follows.
Your body falls asleep first. So when your hands relax deeply, everything slows down. Your physical sensations in your hands become less and less important.
Even maybe the initial pleasure of noticing that your hands and fingers are starting to not just relax, but also have a nice feeling of release, a pleasurable feeling of calmness as those muscles, the bones, just let go of everything. And then the longer it goes on, the less we notice our hands or any of our body because it's almost becomes invisible to us. It's no longer in our attention.
It's no longer interesting to us. As you begin to drift, the feelings in your feet and toes don't seem to really take up much attention. It's nice to know that your legs and arms are relaxing, but at the same time, you kind of don't care.
It's unimportant how relaxed your stomach is. Even though you welcome the release of tension and increasing comfort in your chest and back, you just can't be bothered to focus on those parts because you know that you're not really needed in this process of deeply relaxing. You can observe that there isn't really anything for you to do.
You're a passive participant. You're gaining the benefit without having to actually do a single thing because these feelings of comfort are the most natural things in the world. Having a relaxed body, a relaxed face, a calm is our natural state.
All the other feelings we have, maybe during the day with interactions with other people, work, times of the day, busy or keeping ourselves busy, that's not our natural state. A natural state is one of peacefulness, really, really, so calm. Of course, we're not going to want to feel like this all the time because perhaps we wouldn't get anything done, but you can enjoy feeling this now.
You can appreciate the experience of letting go at the right time for you, relaxing naturally, completely, effortlessly. There really isn't anything for you to do at all. Maybe that's why some people struggle with the idea of letting go because we're so used to actively doing things.
However, when you just surrender to your natural feelings, you may be surprised at just how easy you become deeply relaxed, just how easy. Your mind slows down, your mind slows way down because it's not needed right now. Your body doesn't have to do anything.
Your mind doesn't have to. All the automatic processes in your body work completely independent of your conscious mind. The more relaxed you feel, the better your body works.
Your breathing is deeper and easier. Your mind slows down and is clear. Having a clear mind opens up that natural portal to sleep.
If you choose to go through that portal, allowing yourself to drift into natural sleep, of course, if you choose, you can just stay in this moment and enjoy the growing relaxation and that feeling, a special feeling that you can enjoy and experience. Everything is relaxed, your body, your mind, peaceful, so loose and peaceful. Anything, just enjoy the feeling of peace and calmness, deep relaxation, continuing to spread and grow, almost like your whole body and mind is invisible, requiring any attention from you, just being, just comfort.
If you choose to travel and drift into that portal and fall into such a deep, deep healing sleep, you can do it. If that's what you choose, I count from five down to one, and each number, you will go 10 times more deeply relaxed. Five, four, three, two, one.
Paragraph spacing and recurring name or title errors have been tidied. Because this began as a voice transcription, an occasional word or piece of punctuation may still be incorrect.
