Hello and welcome to Relax and Sleep Hypnosis Daily. My name is Jason Newland, please only listen when you can safely close your eyes. My website is jasonnewland.com and just to let you know that I've got a few podcasts and they're all available, pretty much every podcast provider, Spotify, iTunes or Apple Podcasts as it is now, Stitcher, Luminary, you name it.
So thank you for listening and please subscribe, maybe leave a comment. So I'd like you to get yourself comfortable, you can sit down on a chair that supports your body or lie down, whatever you choose really. I do suggest that you wear loose clothing or you loosen the clothing that you're wearing.
So it's not probably the best time, not wearing a wedding dress or a tuxedo probably wouldn't be ideal for this kind of time of relaxation. Take off your boots, your skis, whatever else you've got on your feet. It's about relaxing and you need to give yourself preparation to relax.
You know if you just come in from work fully clothed with your shoes on and your coat on and just lie down on your bed, your mind's not going to think it's time to relax. Your body's not going to know it either. I don't say take all your clothes off but you need to at least maybe get some sweat pants on or a loose top because the more relaxed your body is at the beginning, the more relaxed your body becomes.
It's just a little bit of preparation which may be useful. Another thing is maybe turn your light off if the light's on. You don't have to of course but maybe turn the television off, give yourself some time when you won't be disturbed because this is your safe space where you can let go completely knowing that you don't have to attend to anything else.
There's nothing else for you to think about. There's nothing else for you to do. This is your time of doing nothing.
This is your space for letting go. It's nice to have the opportunity to step back from your day, maybe a couple of steps back and initially you can just watch the world go by even if you've got your eyes closed and you're lying down, you can still maybe hear background sounds. That's the world just doing its thing.
Perhaps you can feel the temperature of the room on your face, maybe your hands, maybe some smells that you can notice. Perhaps you've cooked some dinner a little while ago. Maybe you've got some fresh flowers in the room.
Maybe you can hear the weather, maybe it's windy or rain tapping on the windows, those things you can hear and feel at the same time such as your breathing. You can experience the breathing internally, the air going into your windpipe, entering your lungs. You can hear the breathing as well.
Then there's the other physical sensation of your chest and your stomach rising when you breathe. In fact, your shoulders also rise. Maybe parts of your back do as well, rising and sinking, rising and sinking.
When you just sit there or lie there with your eyes closed and nothing else going on, your mind knows instinctively, your unconscious mind knows instinctively that this means it's time to relax deeply, that there's no need for any kind of mood, there's no need for any kind of thinking as your mind starts to slow down.
It's almost like a teacher, your mind can be like a teacher where none of the pupils or students have turned up, teachers just sitting at the front of the class, nothing to do, just relax, chill out, let go, and there's a familiar feeling that arises, it's that feeling of nothingness, that feeling of having your eyes closed and noticing that you're not really thinking about anything, you're just enjoying the pleasure that comes from not thinking, and that feeling from your mind starts to move into the parts of your body.
You can feel that in your toes, you can feel it in your fingers.
You can feel it in your knees, you can feel it in your elbows, you can feel it in your lower back, you can feel it in your jaw, you can feel it in your stomach, you can feel it in your thighs, you can feel it in your shoulders, you can feel it in the back of your neck, you can feel it in your chest, you can feel it in your eyes, you can feel it in your hands, you can feel it moving down your spine, you can feel it in your calf muscles,
you can feel it in your stomach, you can feel it in your skin, sinking deep into your skin, you can feel it in your arms, notice how the feeling's grown in your mind, a sense of peace, emptiness, stillness, peace, emptiness, stillness.
Paragraph spacing and recurring name or title errors have been tidied. Because this began as a voice transcription, an occasional word or piece of punctuation may still be incorrect.
