Hello, welcome to jasonnewland.com. My name is Jason Newland and this is Relax and Sleep Daily, or Relax and Sleep Hypnosis Daily, which is the correct title. Now please only listen when you can safely close your eyes. I thought it would be nice to maybe just do a body scan meditation.

So I'm sitting here in my chair. Perhaps you can make yourself comfortable by either sitting in a comfortable chair, one that supports your body in the event of you falling asleep. Or you can lie down on your bed.

Now if you lie on your bed, there is a very, I'd say high percentage chance that you will fall asleep. So depending on why you're listening to this or watching this, you know, choose for yourself. If you're listening to this recording because you're wanting to just relax for a little while, then maybe sit in a comfortable chair.

You may also fall asleep in the chair. So if you have something important to do, an appointment or something like that, maybe set your alarm. And also just to let you know, I'm recording this for both YouTube and for my podcasts.

So this recording will be available to download at my website, jasonnewland.com. You can just, the link will be there. Also, there is a version with music that is only available on my podcast. So I won't be uploading to YouTube any of the podcasts that have music, just the ones with me talking.

So we're going to start off. I'm sitting down, got my feet on the ground. I got my hands, the palms of my hands resting on my knees.

You may have some background sounds where you are. I've got the sounds of the birds and trees in the garden. But it doesn't have to affect you at all.

Because simple fact is they're there. That's it. They're there.

So don't worry about it. If we waited until there was zero sound in the background, it would be quite hard to make any recordings whatsoever. Unless I went to a recording studio.

And I'm not going to do that. Because it would cost an absolute fortune. So I can't do that.

So until I build a recording studio in my home, which isn't going to happen anytime soon, I will have to just make do with all the accompaniments of the local birds now and then. So I'm going to focus firstly on, let's focus on our forehead, just focusing on your forehead, you're not doing anything. You're not trying to cause your forehead to relax.

Although my head is automatically relaxing, as I focus on it. And my focus has actually been drawn to my eyes. More because I've noticed the feeling of my eyes feeling relaxed, which is a nice feeling.

And I can hear the background birds. And for me, it relaxes me, reminds me of what just it gives me a sense of positivity. Nature and the power, the positive power of nature.

And I guess one of the things that I quite like about nature is it puts things into perspective for us human beings. Just not only how powerful nature is, but the fact that nature is in control of us, as opposed to us being in control of nature. We are not more powerful than nature.

And I like that, because it means we can relax into nature. As we also realize that we are part of that nature. It's not something separate.

That energy from nature is connected to us. We are included in that. Which means that we are by nature, nature.

If you focus on your jaw, sometimes I like to move it around a little bit. I don't mean from room to room. I mean just, you know, moving it from side to side.

And sometimes feel quite surprised at how relaxed my jaw and my mouth actually feels. Considering I'm using it right now. And even though I'm talking, my jaw feels seriously relaxed.

Now as I focus on the back of my neck, completely relaxed. And I don't know why I'm surprised at this, but the same is with my throat. You know the front of my neck, the sides of my neck feel very calm.

My shoulders, in fact all those connections, you know, my arms, my armpits, my upper arms, my elbows, forearms, my wrists, they all feel relaxed. My hands as well. My hands feel very calm and relaxed.

My hands and my fingers. So it's not just the palms of my hands, but you've got the tops of your hands. You've got the sides of your hands.

You've not just got your fingers. You've got the finger joints, you know, where your fingers bend. You've got the palm part of your fingers and you've got the top of your fingers.

And that skin feels different. And both sides feel relaxed. You've got your fingernails.

There's also that sensation between your fingers on your hand. It feels relaxed. Your chest feels calm.

Your stomach, just notice in my stomach feels almost like it's flying, not flying, floating. Just, yeah, just gently floating there. And noticing my upper back is starting to relax in preparation.

I guess maybe for me moving my focus from my stomach to my upper back. Yeah, it feels quite relaxed. Very, very loose.

Almost as if it's been oiled, you know, just lubricated. But sometimes I like to just move my back around a little bit just to get in touch with that feeling. The middle of my back.

Yeah, as I focus on it, there was some tightness there. But as I focused, the middle of my back started to relax and loosen. And I can feel now the middle and the lower back is almost connected in the way that it's feeling.

And as that becomes looser in the middle of my back, that feeling is also spreading into my lower back. My lower back feels as if the skin and the muscles have been smoothed out. Almost stretched without being stretched.

Relaxed. And of course, there's that connection between your lower back and your hips. Focusing on your hips, the sides of your hips, the back and the front.

Noticing the feeling on your buttocks, especially if you're sitting down. Focusing on the tops of your legs, your hips, your thighs, your knees, your calf muscles and shins. May not really even register from a viewpoint of any type of strong sensations.

May just be vague. You know they're there, but not much going on. And as you just allow the feelings of noticing the whole of your legs from the beginning of your thighs all the way down.

And your feet are connected to your ankles. Your toes so relaxed and your feet so calm. And this feeling can stay with you because this is nature.

Nature has caused you to feel comfortable, calm and relaxed. Comfortable, calm. And relaxed in every part of your body.

So easily calm and relaxed. So easily calm and relaxed. As I count from five down to one, you can feel even more.
