Hello and welcome to jasonnewland.com. My name is Jason Newland. This is Sleep Hypnosis Weekly. Thank you for listening and please only listen when you can safely close your eyes.
Just to let you know there may be background sounds. I'm recording this at 12.42pm in the afternoon. There shouldn't be anything too bad but it's daytime so there's always going to be a little bit in the background.
However, I would say that you don't need it to be completely silent when you listen to my recordings because otherwise I'd have to stop talking. So each individual recording has its own special flavor because not only am I going to be saying perhaps different things as well as similar things you've heard before, my voice might sound a little bit different, you know, some days I might sound a bit croaky, other times I might sound angelic.
Unlikely and but also there'll be whatever sounds are in the background at that time.
And instead of instead of being annoying they can almost be part of the experience. Now admittedly if someone walked into the garden and started playing a trumpet annoying I think would be the word as far as you know trying to make a recording. Or you know if two horses ran into the into my bedroom and started humping okay that would be a distraction possibly.
Memorable but a distraction. But the sounds are just sounds. In a way if you sit on a beach or sit on a maybe a deck chair on a beach or on a promenade sit on a bench or maybe sunbathing or whatever or if you've got whatever situation you've got the sea near you it's always a sound.
Yet it can be one of the most relaxing things to do. Just like if you're on holiday you've got a pool in the hotel and you can just sit down or lay down on one of the um I don't know what you call them lounges sun lounges. You've got the sun shining on you and you feel all of the muscles in your body relaxing completely.
It's not going to be quiet. You're going to have people around you talking. There's going to be children laughing.
Maybe adults laughing. Maybe children crying. Might be dogs barking.
I don't know. I'm not sure if people can take dogs on holiday or not. There's going to be sounds and it won't bother you one little bit.
The same as if you were sunbathing on a beach. You may literally be surrounded by thousands and thousands of people. Probably the thing that you'll really notice is the sound of the sea.
Even though the sound of the people around you would probably be at a much higher volume but you almost don't notice it because you're so relaxed. Because when you're sunbathing the sun almost melts your muscles and you can feel any physical stress, any anxiety, any anything, tension, anything that's almost negative just dripping from your body onto the floor. And it feels amazing.
And that feeling can be had without lying on the beach, without even lying in the sun. That same feeling can be there when you're lying on your bed. That same feeling that you get maybe when you're on holiday and you're lying down next to the swimming pool.
And you're maybe hundreds if not thousands of miles away from home. Thousands of miles away from your job and mortgage and you know all those things that maybe take up some of your thinking on a normal day to day. But as you're there on holiday you don't have to give any of that a second thought.
It's almost like it doesn't even exist anymore. That's a wonderful feeling to enjoy. It's also a wonderful experience that you can enjoy now as you lie on your bed.
The feeling of sunbathing and it doesn't matter if you know in real life maybe you can't sunbathe. I can't because I burn so I don't sunbathe but I have in the past when I was younger and I know it's one of the most wonderful experiences to just melt in the sun. And I literally did sort of melt but it felt wonderful.
So when you're lying on your bed you haven't actually got the sun shining on you. But you can feel as though you have. But this sun there's no sunburn to worry about or anything like that.
You don't have to put suntan lotion on. No after sun. But what it does do is all the other bits, maybe some of the best parts of lying in the sun and that's melting away your worries, stresses, relaxing your body completely including your mind and your brain.
So as you relax you can enjoy feeling relaxed. You can also choose to just allow your mind to drift into a comfortable, safe, deeply pleasurable sleep. And it's up to you whether you choose to just enjoy this deep increasing relaxation in every muscle of your body.
Or if you choose to cross that bridge from deep relaxation into deep, deep sleep. And to cross that bridge just means allowing your mind to drift. And you almost just start to ignore my voice.
And even though I'm still talking and you can still kind of hear me, the drifting of your mind moves from where you are now to where you wish to be. As you get more and more tired and just give in to that feeling and completely so relaxed. So very deeply relaxed.
And as you notice your mind it's as if the closed sign has been put up and everyone's left to go to the beach. There's no thinking required at this time. Just an empty room and your brain can really enjoy the warmth from the sun.
Melting away any negativity that was inside your brain. Melting away anything in your brain that's not useful to you. Anything that's harmful.
It's almost as if your brain is being fine-tuned. Having a big overhaul. Allowing those parts of your brain that need it to heal.
Now healing energy also spreads down your spinal cord, down your spine and into every part of your body. Healing every part of your body which only increases the sense of deep relaxation. So very calm.
Your body seems to start to just disappear. And you know it's there, you just don't care. As your mind starts to disappear and you know it's there for you, you just don't care.
As your brain also starts to vanish and the bed that you're lying on also starts to disappear. As well as the floor, the ceiling, the walls, the entire building you're in just disappears. And as that feeling spreads all the way out so that the whole world disappears.
There's nothing left but just you and my voice. Just my voice left. And as I count down from 10 to 1, my voice will also disappear.
