Now, I'd just like you to get yourself comfortable, either on a bed or if you are in a chair, make sure the chair supports your body, so when you're asleep, you know, there's arm rests or something to make sure that you, you know, can't fall out of the chair or anything like that. So, sitting on a bath stool probably wouldn't be an ideal situation. It needs to be something that supports you.

Now, I'd like you to imagine in your mind a whiteboard, you know, one of those boards where you can write stuff on with a marker pen and then you can just wipe it off again and you can wipe something else. So, it could be, you know, a big board that you work out stuff on, so like in a classroom setting or it could be something that you've got on your fridge.

I've got one on my fridge which is just got the days and appointments.

I can just write in what appointments I have and I can just, you know, wipe it off. I've got one of those little board things like a little block which you can use to wipe it off, wipe off the pen and you can have various different color pens, blue, orange, red, green, brown, probably not white. White probably wouldn't be a good one but there's lots of different colors you could probably choose from.

What I'm gonna ask you to do is focus on that whiteboard in your mind. That's it. As you focus on that whiteboard, I'll ask you to write down numbers from 100 down to 0 or down to 1. Yeah, 100 down to 1. That's a big board so I want you to write in big numbers within the whole board so you can see it in your mind, actually see it in your mind, those numbers.

And when you write those numbers on the board start it with 100. As you focus on that number and you just wipe it away. You notice that not only have you wiped that number away but you've also wiped away some of that sense of awakeness.

You've wiped away some of those thoughts that may be in your mind and with every number that you wipe away you can experience more of a sense of comfort in your body and in your mind. Each number counting down from 100 all the way to 1 allows you to experience the sense of freedom that you gain from allowing yourself to take some space away from those thoughts that are in your mind before you press the play button on this recording.

You can now enjoy knowing that this easy process of just writing the numbers in large numbers on this whiteboard and every time you wipe off the number you feel more relaxed in your body and in your mind.

Your mind slows down, your body starts to heal and you feel so relaxed. On each number you wipe off you feel even more relaxed and sleepy. Now starting with that whiteboard and writing down the number 100 and you know that in that pen there's only enough ink to last for the exercise.

So when you get down to 1 the ink is practically dried up because inside that ink is a sense of awakeness. As you put that on the board and have it erased each number that you write on the board that pen gets slightly weakened. It's not quite as strong a colour as it was at the beginning.

Now as you imagine that whiteboard in your mind write down 100 as you attach any feelings or remaining feelings of stress or anxiety to that number. You can now erase the number from the whiteboard erasing any of those feelings of awakeness or stress now wiped away and disappeared. Now imagine on that whiteboard you're going to write the number 99 in big numbers as you focus your awakeness on that number connecting how awake you are with that number.

And then erase that number 99 and as you drift deeper into relaxation we move on to the next number 98 big numbers on the whiteboard 98. Now erase that number and enjoy the feeling that you experience as you see in your mind's eye that number disappearing. It could be an unusual feeling connected with sleeping so easily and naturally.

And now returning to that whiteboard writing down 97 in big numbers. Now erase it and those numbers move away taking any remaining discomfort that may have been there before vanish. As you return to that whiteboard relaxing every part of your body 94 writing that number on the board.

You can cross it out and next to it write 93 erasing those numbers this time seeing big numbers 92. There's that number 92 spread throughout your body sending that signal to relax so deeply so calmly as that number is erased. The number 90 is now written and as we move to 90 you can just erase that as insignificant and just enjoy the calmness.

Enjoy the calmness in your body and the calmness. As you focus now write down on that whiteboard 5 numbers 89, 88, 86, 85. And you can erase all those numbers from 89 to 85.

It feels so relaxing to just let go completely yet at the same time tiring to try and concentrate on those numbers on that whiteboard. When you may prepare to do something else like just close your eyes and drift off naturally to sleep. To focus on numbers 84, 83 writing these numbers down on the whiteboard, 82, 81.

Imagine each number being erased one after another until the board the whiteboard is nice. As you now see on that whiteboard 79 and as soon as you write it on there automatically disappears. Let me try it again with 78 and automatically it disappears, 77 and now 76 and it vanishes.

It's almost becoming harder to even focus on anything because your mind wants to drift away. Moving down 74, 73, 72 and even though I'm trying to focus on this. It feels really nice to let go, relaxing, so relaxing.

Drifting down in your own time erasing the number in your own mind at your own speed. Just allow yourself to drift, really, really drift. As you continue to count down, counting down, drift.

Paragraph spacing and recurring name or title errors have been tidied. Because this began as a voice transcription, an occasional word or piece of punctuation may still be incorrect.
