Yes, you can listen to this podcast episode. I don't know why I'm going to tell you why you where you could listen to it when you'd only hear that if you were listening to it. Oh no, actually, if you're watching on YouTube, then you can listen to it on all the major podcasts, providers, apps and stuff.
Just search for Let Me Bore You To Sleep, or my name Jason Newland. And if you listen on the podcast, you can also, if you fancy a good laugh, you can see my funny face on YouTube. Yeah, everyone's a winner.
So what's the latest? I'll tell you what's weird. See, I've gone on to I'm on TikTok, but I'm not on TikTok. I am but I'm not if that makes sense.
I must have joined a long time ago and I never really I posted some videos on there videos or mp3s something like that. And the most I got I think I got one was 121. That was the first one I did.
And that was from Blimey stop. When was that from? Oh, a few people liked it six people. I don't know when that was from.
Oh, it was 22nd of April 2023. Okay, so it's a year in a way for May, June, July, year and three months away. But you know, I did it I put a few more ones on there and hardly any someone got 4273.
But you know, the more recent ones 276712. And they were all I'm guessing uploaded around the same time. Yeah, 22nd of April 23.
I forgot it was even on TikTok. But I thought you know what? Now I've got back to making video videos regularly. And perhaps I should start uploading or sharing my videos onto some of the other social media platforms.
So I went on to TikTok upload I didn't realize I wasn't even a member but I am. I can't remember joining. And I uploaded my latest video which is relax in 12 minutes.
Also made an mp3 podcast episode as well. So I uploaded that to the podcasts. Well, and also uploaded it to YouTube.
First of all, because it's a YouTube video. And I thought I'll share on TikTok. And I can't believe it was I shared it probably less than an hour ago.
And there's 190 views already just like I know 190 isn't isn't millions. But for me, that's viral. 190 considering it's taken a year and a quarter to get 12 views on one of them.
This has just gone to 190. So I don't quite understand. So I'm gonna can I don't I'm not sure what the limit of the length of videos there is for TikTok.
But hey, I'm thinking I might start doing some more short content, not like short, short, but do some like 10 minutes videos because not everybody or 10 minute audios as well because not everybody wants to listen to an hour or 10 hours of me. Some people would rather just listen to a much shorter, like a short break, a short relaxation or a short pain relief session or something like that.
That in my experience, that's been the case in the past.
And not so much I don't know about podcasts so much, but on on YouTube. So yeah, it's just really weird. Like every time I refresh it, it's going up by.
Okay, one. Yeah, but one at the every. How often is that? So I'll do it again.
I count to 10. And again, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, 10. Still 191.
So that wasn't a good example. So I tell you something weird happened. Just saw my neighbor's daughter in the park.
And she loves Phoenix. So she talked. And I said, Well, call your mom.
She was in a park on her own. So call your mom, let her know that you're in the park and ask her if she wanted to walk Vinnie. I'm only in the parks.
I'm not leaving the park with him. But just letting her know where you are. So she's phoning.
And my mom hasn't got a phone. For some reason, the kids got a phone eight year old, but her mom's not got a phone. So I don't understand what's going on there.
But she's got the phone number of her mom's friend. So she phones her mom's friend up. And it's not answering keeps going to answer machine.
But here's a weird thing. The answer machine has got a northern voice. I've never heard an answer machine with a northern voice before.
Because I live in the south and I just in my ignorance assumed that they were all kind of the same kind of voices. But this was like, I can't take a call at the moment. The person you're trying to call is not in.
I said, I said they're not in. Leave a message at the end of the tone. Duck.
Honestly, I've never heard anything like it before. It was brilliant. It's just refreshing now.
See now that I want it to go up is not it's not the first time that's happened. Oh dear. Anyway, that's it.
So I'll forget that. So what I thought I might do so I uploaded the said the last couple of days. The last couple of days I have made for videos I've done the stop worrying yesterday.
And I did the as a video like live video thing. Not live but me on camera. Then I did childhood.
Yesterday's Let Me Boyd You Sleep 1169. And today I did the relax in 12 minutes. So that's three new YouTube videos in the last two days.
And this would be the fourth. Although, although we have a look. I kind of can't remember.
Christine says Jason Newland. Oh, Jason and good to listen to ahead in the future find out what the news was. Then, which all right.
So if I'm good to listen ahead in the future, see what the news was. And which what does it say? Good, good, good to listen to ahead in the future. I find out what the news was then and which songs are in the charts.
Think it would have been fun if you'd have continued with a crossword because I'd like to have a had a guest to I agree about the cat daily article, looking svelte in a bikini. Really? And think it might be a good thing to do weekly looking over the news of the week and giving your opinion. This is all very interesting and topical.
Thank you. Give me the fox like doggy. A hug from me.
No, don't want to. He I would be he's busy on a bit of a bone tear thing about Vinnie today. Vinnie Vinnie being off his food all day long.
I put his food out. By the way, if anyone wants to like mention all you got face like a tomato. I know.
I can see myself. I got a mirror. I knew what I look like.
The weird what people don't understand is I look like this all year round. This isn't a summer thing. It's my coloring.
I can he help it? See? Yeah. So that's good. So I'm pleased that I've managed to kind of kickstart the video.
So I'm getting slightly used to it again, slightly, a little bit. There's a few different so I have to do a few different things like wear clothes. As I said yesterday, I need to change my top.
So if I do a recording, two recordings a day, I feel that I need to change my tops. Because I was it looks like I'm wearing the same top, which I would be. So if I make a recording at 11 o'clock in the in the morning, and I make another one at five in the afternoon, I'm not going to be wearing a different top.
Unless I don't know, I've spilled something on myself, which does happen when I have my breakfast and eat any other food that might be sloppy. I got a tendency I'm a little bit I do I need to wear bib really nice bib bib I like that word bib bib bib. So yeah, so that's it.
That's all the news we're all caught up. I thought I might go through a magazine today. Just just for fun.
There's not much going on. It's been very hot today. It's been but it's been breezy as well.
It's been breezy. So I can't really complain. I've stayed indoors.
I'm not really. Yeah, not really into being hot and stuff. And I don't mind myself so much but him.
He wants to go out but it's he's panning as soon as he gets out there. He's been panning inside. So I've got all the curtains drawn, trying to sort of stop the sun from getting in just because it's fairly cool in it actually.
Apart from that light up there is getting really warm. And there's heat coming off the television as well. So quite big TV so got a bit of heat come off of that.
But it is I don't know what time is it? It's eight minutes past eight in the evening. So not so much. Sure, I'll tell you what.
The iPad user magazine. Really? iPad user magazine. So I want to read a magazine that's a little bit different from what I would.
Well, I don't read magazines. But the iPad iPhone for beginners. Time magazine.
What's on chick weekend. Donald the Champion. It's a Disney magazine.
Ultimate beach guide the coast. Porsche. Or should I say Porsche.
Porsche. Prof tie knot tie knot. The tie the knot Scotland.
Yes. To the dress. Probably not.
Probably not. Is there anything that's our dogs? Our dogs 26th of July. You know we could.
And there's a lot of stuff on there on Facebook at the moment about the Olympic opening ceremony in France, Frankie Frankie, France, France, France. There's a lot of a lot of people mildly, for some reason discouraged from watching the Olympics because of the opening ceremony. I didn't watch it.
So I can't really comment. But I do find it very funny. Just amusing.
Or maybe not maybe not amusing, but surprising. How emotionally affected people get from stuff like that. It's just Yeah, I don't really understand it.
Because you think about it. We in our Olympics 2012. It was in London.
And again, I don't think I watched the opening ceremony. I watched part of it. I did.
So I've watched the main bits like on YouTube afterwards or whatever. But the the Queen, I do believe gets kidnapped. And she jumps out of a plane or a helicopter.
Now, I don't remember seeing people getting up in arms over that because some would argue there's no one more loved. Well, at the time, there's no more no one more publicly loved in this country than the Queen. She was not by everyone.
I know. But you know, she was a very, the most important person in the country, as far as important people go. I mean, I personally think Vinnie is more important, but that's because he's my boy.
But you know, as a like a public figure, she was the most important public figure above, I guess, Prince Charles at the time. And then I guess the Prime Minister, I suppose. So no one's like, Oh, I can't believe she got chucked out of a plane, or helicopter, whatever it was, or hot air balloon.
I don't know. How could you do that? How can you? Or another thing, naked gun. There's a whole thing with the Queen, where at one point, she gets chucked, a wheelchair goes down, or when she gets chucked into over an audience, a football match or something.
No one, no one, no one was up in arms over that. So, yeah, it was. It's strange, I guess we're just not quite as sensitive in this here country.
Maybe. Yeah, I don't know. I've not seen it.
So I can't comment. But well, hasn't stopped me commenting, even though I haven't seen it. I guess.
I just I just find it. Maybe it's always been that way. And the internet's opened it up for other people to see.
But the fanaticism and extremism, which I actually used to believe was only in other countries outside of the Western world, you know, I grew up to believe that the extremism happened there. And it turns out there's a lot of extremism. In Western countries.
So yeah, it's kind of weird. We've got extremism here as well. But not on that level.
Maybe it's a numbers game. Maybe it's if you've got so many different people, and you got millions, you know. I don't know.
Who knows gargoyles, Disney's gargoyles, puzzle and you're good food Elvis the early years. How did King define the 50s? But keen, isn't it weird? Do you reckon I'll become a time? When if you say Elvis, people want to know who Elvis is. And even saying I bet someone will be watching.
No, no, that's not possible. How can you say that? That's blasphemy. And the head explodes of anger like no, I mean, you know, it's going to come a time when anybody that was around when he was around.
Will be gone. I mean, how many people think about Bing Crosby? Do you know people like that? What other singers? I'm trying to think maybe even Buddy Holly. Phenomenal.
Phenomenal. Phenomenal. Phenomenal.
Phenomenal. Buddy Holly. He wrote so many songs in such a short period of time.
Phenomenal. If you think Eddie Sheeran is prolific. Check out Buddy Holly.
Seriously, because you know, Eddie Sheeran, a couple of years back, he released an album and every single song took up the whole pretty much of the charts. Like it was like number one, number two, number three, number five, whatever. I'm not saying Buddy Holly did that, but I think the Beatles nearly did that once.
But he released so many songs. Brilliant. Dogs barking, I agree.
See, that doesn't get Vinnie going. The dog barking. But someone turns the door handle downstairs.
I think it's because he's so high pitched. I was filming myself. I was doing a video and he started barking and you can see me change.
Like maybe jump. There's no warning. I wish there could be some kind of dee dee dee dee dee, just like a little warning, like a boxing, you know, a warning before the end of the round, like they do a little tap, a little clap thing with some wood or something.
So it gives you 10 seconds for the end of the round. How did you manage to connect a dog barking to boxing? I don't know. I guess I'm just a genius.
So, yeah, so still doing this. What good thing coming up is this weekend, we've got some boxing on and it's the best boxing weekend or the best boxing event for a while. I mean, there's been some really good boxing events.
Yeah, God, we can't complain. I mean, it's not every weekend, but and I have realized, and maybe this is a little bit shallow of me, it makes me a bit of a fair weather, fair weather boxing fan. And I never really thought of myself as being like that.
I struggle to be interested in a fight which doesn't involve people that I know. If I don't know at least one of the people and I don't like them, you know, if I'm not like a, I don't have to be a fan. But if I'm like, oh, okay, I know this person, and I remember what they've done previously, or I've heard amazing things about them, I can get a little bit of excitement.
I can't do it. Generally. I mean, I watched a fight on Saturday.
They were all good fights. But the only two that I enjoyed was the ones where I knew the people that were fighting. Moses Attua, who's a young heavyweight.
I was excited by that. I would have been excited whoever was fighting, because I'm excited by him. And then Chizora was fighting Joe Joyce.
And it was brilliant, because it was them two, a fan of both of those boxes. And it was a really exciting fight. But technically, it wasn't any more exciting than the fights previous that I just didn't have any interest in.
Because I didn't know the fighters. And they were really good fights. Probably possibly skills wise, action wise, probably better than the heavyweight ones.
But faster pace and everything. So a lower weights couldn't help. I just love a lot.
I like what I like. And I like I like boxes and different weights. It's not all heavyweights I like.
And so you know, Lomachenko, Tiafimo, Lopez, Tank Davis, Devin Haney, Crawford, who's fighting this coming Saturday. And it's part of the Riyadh season. Crawford.
So he's, he's, I can't even pronounce the name of the person who's fighting. But it's he's fighting for another world title at a higher weight. And Crawford is pound for pound.
Arguably the best in the world because it's a it's an opinion, isn't it really? Because you say, well, if he's the best in the world, what about what about the light heavyweight who's got nearly all the titles and he's never lost a fight and every fight every every fight he's had he's won by knockout. Berta Biert. You could say, well, he's the number one.
Or you could say Inoue is the number one boxer in the world. Pound for pound, because he's won multiple weight divisions, world titles. And he's an absolute beast.
Well, they call him monster. The monster, yeah, so it's always exciting when I see him. He doesn't leave Japan either.
Stays in Japan, doesn't have to. He's that big a star, not just in Japan. I mean, he's an absolute legend in Japan.
He's a superstar there. But he's also a super, he's a superstar in boxing. So people go from America, like big names go to Japan from America and fighting for his world title.
When normally, I'm thinking like in the past, can't really go in the future. Can't really go into the future. Well, in the future, that was different.
In the past, there was, I can't I remember one Japanese one fight that was held in Japan. In my memory, that was the Mike Tyson Buster Douglas fight in Tokyo. And that was what 1989.
So was it 89? Or was it November 89? I think yeah, I think it was. So was it October? I'm not 100% sure. It was one of them.
So there's some good fights on this weekend. And it's but this one is in America. But it's a part of the Riyadh season, which is the what's it? Oh, blimey.
Dubai, Dubai region. That's kind of what I know. They've had a few fights and that's the one with the Mike with the Tyson Fury, Mike Tyson Fury ones.
Joshua. There's been three, three or four fights already in Dubai for the for that season, at least three. They did if they did one in, they got one in London on the 21st of September, which is Anthony Joshua fighting Dubois for the IBF heavyweight title.
So that's a big event. So the next two really, really big events is Crawford this weekend. And then which is the third of August or something, I think.
Third of August, something like that. And or fourth. And then you've got the 21st of September, which is the the other Riyadh season.
There are other fights coming up. I just don't know what they are. I can't remember.
Big fights coming up. All the upcoming big fights. Let's have a look.
So this weekend, you've got Crawford Madrimoff. That's not that complicated to say, but it's always Ruiz Jr. is also fighting Miller. So that's that's another fight.
I'll be very excited to see. Let's have a look what other cast. So this is Wednesday.
What's the 31st of July? So tomorrow, Wednesday. See, I want to watch this. So I'll get up early for that one.
Because I like Castro. He's really good. And it looks like he's headlining for the first time.
Few, few, few fight information. Come on. So Castro's 12 fights undefeated.
And this is for but there's no world titles for this one. Thursday, 2am in the UK. But it's the I don't know, probably 8 in the evening or 9 or 10 or 9 in the evening or something in America.
He's not even ranked yet. I think he had a break. I think I don't know if he got an injury or something.
So he was out of the ring for a while. Let me see. Normally they give an update.
Castro's stats. Mark Castro steps in the ring with undefeated record of 12 wins. And eight of those kind by way of knockout.
Both Castro is a less experienced professional fighter having had seven fewer fights, made his debut in 2020. Three years and eight months. And Castro remains undefeated, stopping three of his last five opponents.
His last fight was April of six. Prior to that, November the 18th. Prior to that, April the eighth.
Prior to that September 2022. So he's only doing two fights a year, which isn't a lot. That's a lot.
Obviously, but it's not a lot for someone at that level. Because only 24 if he clearly wants to fight for world title. And he needs to be getting more fights in.
Because to Yeah, that's, that's my opinion. And my opinion counts for a lot. He needs to get more.
He's very, very good. I'd say he's a future world champion. And he, I saw one fight and he literally, the very first part, he just jumped up and punched a person.
I've never seen anyone do that before. It's very, very weird. It was good though.
Cruz. So Cruz is fighting. So he's really good.
And that's, is that for Is that for world title? No, that's weird. No one's ranked. He's losses to losses.
That's very strange. Pitbull Cruz set to fight at BMQ, BMO Stadium, Los Angeles. Why are they not even putting it on there? So it's for the WBA super lightweight championship of the world.
So why are they not even they're not even mentioning that in like the actual bit. They are mentioning it later down, further down. That's really strange.
I don't quite get that. I mean, for Crawford to put fighting information. They put in belts on the line WBA world super world weight champion.
WBO interim world junior middleweight champion. It's a little bit confusing, if I'm honest. But then if you've got the Cruz fight info, Cruz Venezuela, belts on the line WBO world super lightweight champion.
Okay, did have it on there. Sorry. And then the next fight, Morel versus Kaladzic, vacant WBA world light heavyweight champion, light heavyweight championship vacant.
So does that mean Bertie Beterbiev has given his title up or who's given a light heavyweight title up? That's weird. And then you got another Cruz. So that's Ruiz and Miller.
There's no world titles there. Because all the world titles are completely Yeah, they're gone. They're not ranking anyone.
Why are they not ranking anyone? That's weird. I mean, they're like proper. I don't know why I'm so bothered.
So Crawford's Ruiz Jr. Let's say Cruz Moran. Let's say is this for a world title? No, I don't know who this Cruz is. I know who Pitbull is.
Trying to go down. It's not letting me go down. What are you doing? Anderson.
Oh, Anderson Bacoli. I'm excited about that one. That's a heavyweight fight.
So Anderson is is America's great hope at the moment. He's the up and coming, potentially heavyweight star from America. My iPad's not working properly.
He's 24. Blimey, that's fairly young. He's six foot four.
So he's not particularly tall for heavyweight in today's age because so many of heavyweights are like 6'6", 6'7". 17 wins, no losses. 15 knockouts.
So this is Jared Anderson. So he is I don't know if it's sometimes they fight for belts that aren't really I don't know what they are. They're just belts.
They're not like world titles or anything like that. So yeah, so the three fights. So the fights I'm looking forward to on that bill would be Anderson Bacoli, Cruz, Pitbull Cruz, because he's so good.
He just doesn't. He goes like this with his gloves. He bangs his gloves together because he just wants to get on with it, you know.
Ruiz, he's about three foot tall. He's really little. But well, okay, super lightweight, but super lightweight.
Probably about nine stone. Probably nine, nine and a half. So it's pretty light.
Ruiz Jr. Miller. So I really look forward to watching that one. I think Ruiz Jr. will win that.
But apparently Miller's getting himself ready. He's because he lost his last fight against Dubois. So I'm figuring he's he's going to get himself in shape for this one.
He nearly fought Joshua, Anthony Joshua for the world title. And but he failed a drug test. We failed several drug tests, I think.
So it was called off. And Joshua ended up fighting someone else. But in a pre fight thing, you know, when they kind of got together, Miller pushed Joshua off the stage pretty much huge, absolute massive man.
He is so just give you an idea how big he is. He's really really really. He's six foot four.
I was not giving you his weight. Okay, fair enough. But he is absolutely he's like 20 odd stone.
Big, big, big man. So yeah, and then you've got the main fight Crawford. So this is going to be another difficult one.
I've got to get up early in the morning. Well, so Ruiz Jr. So Anderson Bacoli. Bacoli is really good as well.
He's lost one fight. But he is a really good heavyweight. And he's, he's, he's been overlooked, been overlooked.
Regarding all the new fighters in the in the, in the in order the pecking order kind of, you know, with the Joe Joyce and, and all the new people, Joe Joyce isn't new anymore, is he? But I mean, Daniel Dubois is not new either. But he's a world champion now. But he's still young.
But you got other people you got like Fabian Wardley, Fabio Wardley rather. You've got Moses Otuah. And there's quite a few heavyweights that are kind of making their way up.
Bing Bang Bosch, the Romford Bull. So that's three that I can think of. There are others.
And they're all young men working their way up to, you know, to eventually fight for the world title, I guess. Bacoli is, he's just never seems to be mentioned among those people. Maybe it's because he's had so many fights.
He hasn't had that many fights. He's had 20, 21 fights, because he's 31. But he's still, he's not old, not in heavyweight, not in heavyweight terms.
So he's had 20 wins, 75%, KO 15, 15 loss, 15 by knockout, 75%. And he got stopped once. I'm not sure who he got stopped by.
The heavyweight is currently 31. How long has Bacoli been fighting? He's been fighting for 10 years and four months. He's number 12.
He's ranked first by the WBA. Six foot three. He has to fight a big name.
They all, you know, I think that's the only way to really get known is you have to fight a big name to get, like Dubois fighting Miller. Although Miller hadn't fought for a while and all that, he's still a big name. And he's a big everything, just huge.
And like Joseph Parker, there's big, big names that you need to fight to get to a level of then maybe going for a heavyweight title, or world title. You know, so I mean, Dubois, I think Joe Joyce is rightly probably a bit peeved because Joe Joyce knocked out Dubois during lockdown it was, so there was no audience. And I think the problem is that Dubois said, well, the reason he couldn't, he couldn't see Joe Joyce so well because of the mask.
Didn't know where to punch. So both wearing masks. They weren't, they weren't.
That was weird. What a weird thing. I quite enjoyed boxing during lockdown because you could, it felt grittier.
It felt, it's almost like you'd smell the sweat because it was just intimate. It was, I don't know how to explain this. You could hear every sound.
You could, I'd say what was annoying about it was the corner people because they were yelling. And normally you can hear the corner, corner people of the boxers yelling, the trainers and like, do this, do that. But because there's a crowd, you know, a big audience, like 20,000 people, it drowns out the corner men, women, whatever.
But this didn't because there was no audience apart from a few that were invited. And all you hear like screaming, punch him, punch him. And then the other corner go, no, punch him, punch him, punch him back.
And just, yeah, but it was very intimate. I quite liked it. I quite liked the, it's very different.
It's something never going to see again. Unless of course you go, if you go to a, if you watch a Don King presentation, he likes tiny venues that look like it's his living room. And I don't know if he even pays according to, this is allegedly, because I'm not saying this is true, but according to some of the fighters that I've read or interviews I've seen, they don't even pay the boxers.
He doesn't, they don't get paid, which is weird. So I don't quite understand why that is. But then Don King has got like 400 million.
He's a very rich man. I don't know. I probably said this before, but he's about 90.
He's a very elderly as well. Why doesn't he, okay, I need to check this out because I might be lying. I'm pretty sure Don King, pretty, pretty sure he is.
It's 92. Bob Arum, I think he's 92 as well, or 91. They're the two big names in America, like for boxing, Bob Arum and Don King.
They've been around, well, over 90 years. He was, and Don King was responsible for the Rumble in the Jungle and the Thriller in Manila. So he guided Ali's career, the parts of that.
He promoted Joe, I'm reading this off the screen. It's bad. I know that he promoted Larry Holmes, George Foreman, Roberto Duran, Mike Tyson.
He's more famous, I think, for completely ripping off Mike Tyson, according to Mike Tyson. Now, I'm not going to argue with him. And you've got Evander Holyfield, Chris Bird, John Ruiz, Chavez, Mayorga, Andrew Golota, Bernard Hopkins, Roy Jones.
Wow, Marco Antonio Barrera, Wilfred Benavidez. That's a lot of absolute megastar boxers. So he's got a lot of money.
So I'm thinking, at his age, and if he still wants to put on boxing, why not put on the most epic fight ever? I mean, it's hard to match the Dubai fights, to be fair, because they're pumping, blimey, I don't know how much money they're pumping into those fights. But if he just, he could do something different, do something special. Just play on YouTube for free, or do it for charity.
Something like that, just do like one, it's one big, big event, get a bit of charging, but charge it for charity, have it free, have it on YouTube, pay-per-view to raise money so he can pay for it. And every penny that comes in goes to charity. So the boxers maybe can box for a week, as they normally would, maybe, maybe have some exhibition fights, and just have this big event.
And you could have it as a, in memory of, as his like final big show. Because Daniel Dubois won, he won the, the regular heavyweight championship title. And it's a Don King event.
And it honestly looked like it was in his backyard. Like, in his living room, it just, I've not been in Don King's living room. But it was such an intimate, it was nice.
But it just reminded me a little bit of the, the charity boxing matches that I've seen on YouTube, where there's people sitting around eating, and then the boxing starts. And it's, you know, there's part of the crowd, and it's kind of like, intimate, they can't fit. If you've got a room, even with, well, with a comedy club, you know, if you've got a room, and you've got tables, and people sitting around tables, there's a limit, there's always going to be a limit to how many people you can get into a room.
But if you have layers of chairs, you can get way, way, way more people than you ever could sitting around tables. And the reason I know this, because we did it once, can't remember what it was for, I think it was, what was it for? I think it might be in a charity gig or something, but put chairs, stuck all the tables somewhere else, and put chairs out.
And there's like, probably three times the amount of people in there.
I'm slightly making it up, I don't think that actually ever happened. But it sounds good. Sounds like it might have done.
So that's what I want to do. I want to watch the boxing this weekend. So I'm looking forward to that.
Let's have a look. What else? I don't know what other fights there are. So we've got this Wednesday, or Thursday morning.
So I'll be watching that. Then Sunday morning, we've got Crawford and Medrimov. But I think the show starts at something like nine in the evening in the UK.
So I think because there's so many boxes, I think they're starting off earlier. And that same week end is, I mean, but that's in the early evening. Blimey, this is going to be too much.
Shelley and Simpson are fighting. And then Dubois, Dubois' sister, she'll be fighting. I tell you what's funny, I saw this documentary.
I think it was on YouTube. But it was a documentary anyway, on boxing. And they were going inside of Daniel Dubois' house.
And I think he's, at the time, he still was living at home with his parents, which, because he's a young bloke, you know, I think he was, he'd only been around, I think, probably a couple of years at this point, like as a professional boxer. And so it's so lovely, so gentle. The way he speaks is gentle, all the way.
And he comes across really nice, like really nice person. Obviously, didn't want to get punched by him. But so the reporter, they walked in and he led this journalist into this big room.
And inside there was a case full of trophies, boxing trophies. And the journalist said, Wow, look how many trophies you've got. And Daniel just started laughing.
He said, I wish they were mine. They're my sister's. I should pretend you know, they're mine.
And he's laughing. His sister was an amateur phenomenon, and won loads of stuff. So his sister was the famous one in the family for boxing.
Now, I guess he is because he's a heavyweight world champion. But it was just such a funny moment. He said, like, almost like I wish I'd like to tell you that they are mine, but they're not.
They're my sister's. And obviously so many trophies for when she was a school and when she was an amateur, because she's now a professional boxer herself. And the amount of brothers and sisters, I mean, even on here, Fundora, Fundora's sister.
He's the how tall is she? It's not saying five foot nine. His sister, he's brought her brother rather. Her brother, they call him the Tower Inferno, because he is about six, three, six, four, but he's really light, very lightweight.
And I followed him for quite a while, actually, because I liked him. Right, then he just started barking. So I had to stop there.
I can't remember what I was saying now. Oh, yeah. Fundora.
So her brother, I think his name is Sebastian Fundora. And so he won the world title. And I just I was I've been a fan of his for quite a few years, actually a few years now.
And unfortunately, he's he won the world title, but then he defended it. I couldn't get to watch it because it wasn't available in the UK to watch. I watched it on YouTube.
And he got knocked clean out by, I say a smaller man, all of his opponents are smaller men, height wise. But he's a proper, you know, just completely knocked him clean out. I was like, wow.
And let me have a look. I can check the Fundora. Pretty sure, it is Sebastian.
Wow, that was good, wasn't it? So he, he's had 23 fights, total wins. One, yeah, 23 fights, 21 wins, one loss, one draw. 13 by KO, he's won.
Six foot six. Wow. Yeah.
Yeah, six foot three didn't sound very tall. Six foot six. And he's a he weighs, I say how much does he weigh? Come on.
He's light middleweight. So that'd be, I don't know, 11 stone, maybe 10 stone 11. So he won the world, he won the interim championship in April 2022.
I've been watching him probably since 2020. I reckon. And then he fought Carlos Acampo.
So he won the vacant interim, then he retained the interim. So he still wasn't the full champion, the interim champion. All that means for those that don't know is sometimes the world champion is ill, or life, life stuff happens.
Now if they have a bereavement, or they get a really, really bad injury. And as long as they're willing to pay the sanction fees, they don't lose their title. Because it's unfair, isn't it? Someone going through some stuff, or you have to if you don't defend your title, you're going to lose it.
There is a cutoff point, they don't keep it open forever, depending on who you are and how big a name you are. But I don't know who the original world champion was. But from the looks of this, they say he lost the fight to Brian Mendoza.
So who does Brian Mendoza? Ah, okay. And then Brian Mendoza lost to Tim Tzu. He fought for two world titles after that.
So he lost to Tim Tzu, who is the son of Costa Tzu, who famously got beaten by Ricky Hatton, who was famously also a really, really great boxer. So Tim Tzu, he fought for Tim Tzu. Yeah, so Fandora Sebastian Sebe, I call him Sebe, got beaten by Brian Mendoza.
And he then came back a year later, a year and one month, and he fought Tim Tzu. And he won the WBO and vacant WBC light middleweight titles. And it's I don't try and I don't try and get into the whole kind of someone loses and therefore they're no good anymore, because that's ridiculous.
But there was a bit of like, oh, maybe he wasn't as good as I thought he was. There's a little bit of that I try not to do that. But yes, I'm still I'm still half human.
So I do a little bit think that. But he went to war like really, he showed his grit. I love that word today.
It's my favorite word today is grit. He showed it in buckets. Completely.
It was it if you if you like boxing, check it out. Sebastian Fandora against Tim Tzu. It was March 2024.
Wow. Again, wasn't on TV had to watch it on some things that we sometimes sometimes things are on but they're streamed and it's expensive. But anyway, what other things are there? Lopez, Leo, Lopez, Ortiz Jr. So is he gonna fight for world title eventually? Ortiz Jr. Nope.
No world title on the line. Is it? Is it? Is it? Is it? Is it? Nope. Nope.
Nope. So he's 21 and I wonder why he's not. He's ranked at one, two and two.
So he's ranked at one on WBA, two on WBC, second on WBO. But there's no one else on that, that I want to watch. I'm particularly interested in watching.
So I wouldn't necessarily be that bothered because in the middle of the night and I probably wouldn't stay up for that or get up early. Yet again, the little boy was barking because somebody, I don't know, a butterfly in the next town was reading poetry, you know, out loud. So I don't know what it was, but he started barking.
I can't see. Yeah, there's not really all the way through August. I can't see anything that I particularly want to watch to be honest with you.
So Inui fights 3rd of September. The reason I, one of the reasons I like the Japanese fights, or when it's in Japan rather, is because I can watch it during the day. It's brilliant.
Starts at like eight o'clock in the morning. It's like, wow, such a brilliant start of the day. It's always on midweek or like, you know, during a week like Tuesday, 3rd of September.
And every, even to be fair, I watched another Japanese fight the other day. It was in Japan again. Every fight was good.
Every fighter is just, it's like they're all, I don't know, they've got, it's like they've got Inui inside them. That sounds wrong. Got part of him inside them.
That sounds worse. No, just like they've, because Inui is like a superstar and every Japanese fighter that I've seen it, they're just, they're like, just, I don't know how to explain it. They're just really, yeah, really good.
It's really good. Um, um, um, um, um. Canelo.
Really? Canelo's fighting Belanga? Well, I didn't even know Canelo had a, is it a fight, anyone but David Benavidez? Is that, is that what it is? Is that the, is that the rule? Anyone but David Benavidez. Won't fight him. Anyone but him.
I mean, has Ben, David Benavidez even got a, oh, okay. There are some really good fights coming up, but they're not anywhere, not, well, they're not like a million miles away, but 14th of September, Canelo, Belanga. So that'll be Canelo.
Every fight he has is good. So that'd be good. And then, Friday the 20th of September, Mungui, Munguia, Munguia is fighting.
I've, he's, I'm a fan of his, so I'll watch that. And then Saturday, 21st of September, bam, bam, bam. It is, it is, it is, it is, it is.
The, uh, Joshua versus Dubois heavyweight championship. And that is part of the Riyadh season. And there's loads of, it's a very British, well, it's British.
It's like a British bill. Uh, a lot of top names in the UK, all fighting on the same night. Um, Boatsey, Warrington, and I want Boatsey, Smith.
Is that, is that Smith, strange Smith versus Kelly, Josh Kelly. Oh, wow. Is it for a world title? Didn't Josh Kelly just win a world title? No, it's not.
Just, I thought Josh Kelly. Okay. Fair enough.
So Kakese, Warrington. I know Warrington, I don't know Kakese. And it's for the IBF world junior lightweight championship.
Brilliant. And then you've got Boatsey, Hutchinson, light heavyweight. And that's not for a world title, but I'm a fan of Boatsey.
Yeah, I've seen Hutch, he's good as well. I like him as well. So, so we'll see what happens there.
It's not, I think the problem that Boatsey's had is very simply, it's very simple, very simple indeed. The light heavyweight world titles have been dominated, like for a long time. So it's hard, it's hard for him to get in line to fight.
Smith, Kelly, Denny Charez. Brilliant. Okay, that'd be a great night.
And then there's one on Friday, 27th. Not too bothered about that. Right, 12th of October.
Dun, dun, dun. This is Betterbiev vs Bibble. Potentially fight of the year.
Potentially the fight I'm most looking forward to. I'm looking forward to the others. Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to the fight this weekend.
Definitely looking forward to the Joshua against Dubois. But Betterbiev vs Bibble. I can taste it.
So that's on the 12th, was it? 12th of October. And that's for all the belts. All of the belts.
And then you got Friday, the 15th of November. It's nothing in October. It's the only thing in October.
Brilliant. Great. Friday, the 15th of November.
Tyson against Jake Paul. And that's on Netflix. So I'll be watching that.
I will be. Sorry, can't help it. And then you got 21st of December, which is... I don't know how long it's been since they last fought, but Usyk and Fury for three of the world titles, plus the ring heavyweight championship, because Usyk gave up the IBF.
He said he gave it as a gift. He said he'll give it as a gift so that, you know, someone else can have it. So they haven't got to keep waiting for him to fight Tyson again.
So it's a nice way for the year to kind of come to a close. 21st of December, Usyk against Fury. That's going to be a big one.
And it's since Saudi Arabia sort of be in the evening as well. So it won't be like late, early hours of the morning or anything. Mind you, I don't know how many fights are going to have.
They've not put down the undercard. Because generally, as it's a Riyadh fight, the undercards are usually massive. Loads of undercard fights.
Oh, well. So yeah, that's it. That's that's what's coming up.
So this weekend is the next one. The next big fight boxing. And I'm looking forward to it.
It'd be nice. So the early hours, although it might start, I said about nine. It's going to be difficult to stay up.
But as I'm getting older, it's hard to keep it up, keep up for for so long. But it's still going to be a great night. And it's what Monday now.
So Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. So we've got that fight early hours on Thursday morning. For this, yes, it's only a few days.
I'm very excited. So yeah, that's it. That's what I'd you know, should we check on the stats of the video was 191.
Now it's 217. So it's gone up by 91 201 211 12 13 14 15 16 17. It's gone up by less than 900.
Wow, to be less than 900. It's 26. Less than 900.
26 is less than 100, isn't it? 26 is less than 900. Tell me I'm wrong. Tell me wrong.
Tell me. So I'm gonna go. Let's get it done.
I'm done. I'm done. Done.
Done. Done. It is six minutes past 9pm.
On Monday, 29th of July. 2024. I get something to eat.
I don't know what they don't know. Quite what I'm thinking. egg on toast.
So I'm thinking might sound weird, but that's what I'm thinking. Or egg sandwiches, toasted sandwiches. I don't know.
What do you think? Or? Yeah, I've got no hummus left. So yeah, I'm thinking eggs. Maybe it's because I'm a Londoner that I love London.
Maybe I could have some beans on top of those eggs. I need to get some I need to get some sausages, some vegetarian sausages. I wonder I've got might have some in the fridge, the freezer.
If I have they're gonna have been in there for a long time. They'll have been frozen so long that they would have just turned into dust or something. Turned into ice.
Dusty ice. You know, something's in the freezer for just too long. And it's, it's gone off, but it hasn't gone off.
It's like gone off inside. We just, this is lost whatever it had. Yeah, there's a few things like that.
That's what my brain's like. So I'm going to go. I'm going to go 217.
Now 220. See, it's gone up three just in that just that few minutes. So I understand why I can see why you get excited about a video is getting you 220 views.
Well, first of all, it's a lot more than getting on YouTube these days. So YouTube is very slow at the moment. It's I get a few hundred views a day out of all my videos.
Maybe sometimes 500 a day, sometimes 1000. But you know, generally, it's pretty slow. It's growing, but it's slow.
And I've got 1340 subscribers on YouTube. I've got 16 followers on TikTok. And my videos just suddenly got go up 220 109876543212 21 Yeah.
So you know, if it's going up like that, I might have 500 1000 views by the end of tomorrow. So maybe TikTok is my next place. That might be my new place of getting views.
Who knows? Who knew? I came in here earlier. And Vinnie's just looking and there's two tennis balls right next to each other that weren't there before. Now he's he's I don't even remember having two tennis balls to be honest.
But it was very much him saying we need to go and play ball. But you had them all lined up ready. Man, I can't let him off the lead anymore though, because he's just he's not great at coming back.
And if he sees someone that he likes, he'll run up to them or if he sees a dog, he wants to say say hello and not all dogs are as friendly as he is or are sociable or want to say hello. Some just don't want to say hello to him. And he's flapping his ears.
You little ear flapper. You little ear flapper. Yes, you are.
Yes, you are. Okay. 223.
So I'm gonna, I'm gonna go. So check me out on TikTok. What's my name on TikTok? What's my name? What's my name? Jason Newland, hypnotist.
Might as well just leave it like that. I don't know. I don't know how long I've been on it.
I might have been on I might have been on TikTok for like years and years without realizing it. I mean, literally, I might have been on there for I don't know how long TikTok's been around for five years, 10 years or something. Maybe that's what it is.
I think some, some people are a little bit shocked on YouTube because I put a lot of videos on there from the past. And now started posting new videos. And because I'm older, you know, more I'm just older.
So what's happened to you? Age, I'm getting older, but just, I mean, there's videos on there from 2007, like 15 years ago. There's videos on there for 15 years ago that I've uploaded other videos from like eight years ago, seven years ago, six years, you know, Vinnie started barking again. It's annoying.
Well, it's annoying that he's barking because it makes me jump but the editing takes so long because I have to. Well, it's easier with the audio because there's a big like jump and spike in the audio. That's a lot easier to edit the video, not so much.
So that's why I clap my hands every time to try and catch that in the video. And then to sync it up with the audio because I'm recording the audio on the microphone to sync that with the video. It's hard.
It's hard work. Anyway, I'm gonna go before my voice goes. Well, that's better.
So thank you for listening. Remember to be kind to yourself, because you deserve to be happy. Be gentle with yourself.
Lots of love. Bye. 229
