Hello and welcome to Let Me Bore You To Sleep. My name is Jason Newland and Vinnie Andre Newland is underneath the table playing with a bone. Please only listen when you can safely close your eyes.

Well, well, well, well, well. Um, it's quite a late one. It's six minutes to nine.

As you may know, I tend to prefer to be in bed by 10 o'clock. Oh, excuse me, a bit of gas, nice. Whether I'll be able to accomplish that, I'm not sure.

Probably more going to be 11 o'clock, I reckon. But it's okay, it doesn't matter. I woke up quite late today.

No, I didn't, did I? Yeah, I did. Wow, I did. I was so tired last night.

And I think it was the remnants of Saturday, because I didn't really get my normal afternoon nap. Sounds ancient, doesn't it? My afternoon nap. But I didn't get my afternoon nap on Saturday.

So I was absolutely shattered by the end of the boxing. And I still had to take him out for his last wee wee and poo poo. And yeah, I woke up a lot later than normal.

I think I woke up later. I think I did. I can't remember yesterday.

But definitely woke up late today. Because again, last night, I was so tired. And I laid down to go to bed and he was hassling me wanting to go out.

So I had to get up and take him out. And it was a little bit annoying. But hey, it's all right.

I have to do it. And I came back and I went to bed. I fell asleep very quickly.

And then I got up and did the recording, editing stuff that I normally do. So I just posted on my Jason Newland's Boring Group, which is the place to be. If you want to be involved in this podcast, and it's basically any questions for this coming Q&A Friday.

Or I'm going to post something to remind everyone. Didn't need to say both, did I? Even more now, I didn't have to keep repeating it. I could have just kept quiet.

I didn't even have to mention that I said it twice. So yeah, I've basically what I've been doing today, I've been waiting in for deliveries. And what I've done is so I spoke to my the neighbor, the new neighbor who's now living in my friend's flat, or his previous flat downstairs.

And it turns out she had no food and has no and no cooking stuff. No fridge, freezer, no cooker, no kettle, no toaster, microwave, none of that stuff. So she's basically been buying stuff every day, which is an expensive way to get by, especially as there's not a lot around here.

So it's quite an expensive way to sort of get by every day. And so what I did is I went on to my catalog and I got some stuff for her flat. And because it's a catalog, it's free, isn't it on a catalog.

But she says she's going to pay it. I didn't ask if she wanted it. I just thought, God, you can't leave someone without a fridge, you know, or a cooker, you need to have a cooker, very bare basics.

And I'm not in a position to spend any cash to help her like that way to even get a secondhand one because so I just thought, I'll get it from the catalog. And, you know, I'll pay for it in a certain amount of time or whatever. And she'll pay for it.

So today, I've been waiting in for it to be delivered because so that I can get it into a flat. But she had to go to the dentist and now she's in the hospital. I don't know what's going on.

But she's been gone for about eight, nine hours. And I was like, Oh, I hope she's all right. I don't really know well enough to ask.

I might sound strange, but I don't want to because I'm waiting for her to come back. I don't want her to think that I'm just harassing her because I'm waiting for her to come back so that I can go to bed. I don't really want to mention that I'm wanting to go to bed at 10 o'clock.

It's not the most something you necessarily want to share with people. Yeah, I do it on a podcast. At least 12 people listen to every day.

So yeah, I don't know. So that anyway, all this stuff's come through. So the cooker, fridge freezers downstairs, microwave and the toaster and kettle are upstairs here with me.

And the delivery people were so relieved they didn't have to bring the stuff upstairs. We're not so but it's just easier, isn't it just to leave it on the ground floor. The only problem is I'm kind of concerned that someone might take them because they're down there, especially once it gets dark.

Anyone could just come in there and just nick them. So if they do, they do. What can I do? If they do, they do.

Oh, what can I do? I can't do nothing. No, no, no, no, no, no. I mean, if she's in the A&E, she could be in there for another seven hours.

Because I was in there for 13, 14 hours when I did my back. So, you know, it's quite a long waiting. So I don't know.

Maybe she had a problem at the dentist and caused issues with her mouth and had to go and seek medical attention. I don't know. It might, she might be visiting someone.

I don't know. I've no idea. But just waiting.

So much for me keeping, not having anything to do with the neighbours. Hasn't really worked out that way, has it? I do think, am I just like a busybody? I don't think I am. I just like helping people.

And, you know, I knew she was going to have bailiffs knocking on the door. I told her that. That's how I kind of got to speak to her.

Because I wanted to just warn her. And I said, look, here's what you should do. And I gave her the thing from my friend's funeral, so she could show that to the bailiffs.

So they would go away. That was kind of the whole reason for it. And then she came up a few days ago, needed to use the toilet.

And then my other friend came round. And so we got talking to her. And yeah, she's nice.

So I'm friends with both the new neighbours. And all three of the old neighbours as well. So I get on with everyone.

Life is much easier that way. It really is. I just, I don't want hassle or drama.

I've had so much of that over the years, over the last few years. But even before moving here, so many shared houses I've lived in, where people have squabbled. And there's been just, you know, right from the age of my first shared house was I was 17, 18? No, 17.

So yeah, ironic, isn't it really that my first, well, I slept on a, in the living room of my stepmum's grandmother, my stepmum's mum, so my step grandmother. So technically, I mean, that was a very difficult issue, situation. But I kind of went straight from there to have my own flat at 16.

However, the flat was connected to the job. The public had access to the toilet and the bathroom. Because you know, the law came in that if you had a restaurant, which they did downstairs, the chip shop had a restaurant there as well.

So it was a fishery, I think they called themselves. And if anyone needed a toilet, they had to let the public go into my bathroom. The staff also needed a toilet.

So, and there was an office upstairs as well for the, for the owner. And they had stock upstairs and had stuff at the bottom of the stairs, oil and things like that. So it wasn't really, it didn't feel like my flat, other than on a Sunday, when no one was around, shop was shut downstairs.

And like on a Saturday night, when everything closed, I could lock the door, because I couldn't lock the door from the inside, I can lock the door like lock it. But I couldn't put the latch on or the weather to lock it properly, so that no one could open it from the outside with the key. If I did that once, and my boss was on holiday, and one of his friends took over the place for two weeks.

I think he was in Tenerife. And this in January, I think. Anyway, he took over.

And he came in and he was banging on the door. It was my day off. banging on the door like what what? And he pretty breaking the door in he was so angry.

Well, the oil was inside my flat at the bottom of the stairs, like the new barrels of oil. Why they were there, I don't know why they couldn't have put them somewhere else, you know, like, in the shop. And normally, there'd be like, some near the fryer to pour in, not right next to the fryer.

Anyway, anyway, anyway, what the routine was, is you turn the fryer on the first thing. So I'd normally get there about half three, four o'clock, four something, and I turn the fryer on the pilot light underneath the fryers. And they got certain temperature and then you put some oil in to make sure you clean it out and everything.

If the oil is too low, the whole thing could go up. Really Vinnie? Stop making so much noise. That was me actually.

And my leg fell off. I Yeah, so the oil got really low. And it already turned.

He didn't check the oil level before he turned it on. So it was smoking, and it needed oil, cool oil. In other words, it was no way of well, there's no way of cooling it down.

I mean, I don't know, maybe water, but I think that probably would have broken, broken the whole thing. Plus water and electricity. I don't think I've heard it doesn't go together so well.

So Oh, man, honestly, he was so angry. So well, why are you leaving it in my home? But anyway, I think it was I don't know if he was open on this. I don't know.

I don't remember. It was a Monday morning. And I think maybe I had I think I was doing extra shifts.

So I had some time off in lieu of that. I don't know. I'm making it up now.

But that did happen. That thing happened. The same bloke, he bought all my weights.

He bought all my weights, my boxing gloves and my punch bags and all the stuff that I had that was in the it was still in my Wow, so I must have met him before this before I moved into the thing upstairs. Because he bought all that stuff off me. Because I was in my step mum's my step Nan's garage downstairs, because she used to live in a block of flats.

Right on the corner on the left hand side of the top. So if you're facing it, there was a ramp going up. But there's also you could go underneath it.

And a bit dark, but there was garages under there. She had a garage, didn't have a car, but she used to keep stuff in there. Not in the car in the garage, she didn't have a car.

But if you stepped out a bit, and you look right to the top of the left hand side. That's where she lived. Lovely flat.

Really nice flat. And yeah, I'm just trying to think is right at the top. So I don't know, I think there was six floors, I think six floors.

And quite often I used to go up the stairs. And there was two sets of stairs between each floor. Yeah, two sets of stairs between each floor.

So that'd be what 12 sets of stairs. And I used to run up and down them. Blimey.

I was a kid though, wasn't I? I mean, but still running, running upstairs. Who even does that? Who who does that? I used to. It was partly because I was a little bit scared of the lift.

Because it was dark down there. I mean, you could get the lift upstairs as well. Like if you went up the ramp, you catch the lift there as well.

So it's really for people, I guess with cars, because there was a car park up the ramp. So you could park your car. We know what a car park is, JJ.

Okay, fair enough. I'm just saying so you can park your car in a car park. Or you could park it in the garage if if whatever you want to choose really, I guess.

And I think my my stepman got a garage because she was one of the first people to move in there. So she moved in 1977. And she lived there.

Blimey, she didn't live there that long, really. She was there till 1960. 1960 1977 to 1988.

Wow, she's only there 11 years. It's not long is it? It's a long time for me at the time though. You think I was seven when she moved in there.

And I was no 1977 1978. I think it's 1978 to 1987. Oh, yeah, because that's why I had to move out because she was moving away.

So she was there for 10 years. Yeah, I was evicted. Just happened to the the flat came up at exactly the same time, because the owner of the shop moved into their own house.

Just at the right time. Well, it kind of coincided to be the correct time. And they helped me out by letting me let me live there.

It's in the flat. So I don't know what my other options would have been to be fair. Probably rent a room somewhere.

Suppose I don't know. I mean, I don't even know if you can rent a room at 16 these days. I don't know what the rules are.

Hmm. I do think about some of the questions I've had in the q&a Fridays. And I can see how I can make a whole recording just on one of those questions.

Some would argue I practically did that in my three and a half hour episode last week, but you know, all right, here's what I've been doing. This is why I'm not excited about it. Well, I'm kind of excited.

I posted right get this I posted a picture and a video of Andre meeting a toy ferret is telling me it's copyrighted. How can it be copyrighted? The content ID claiming video doesn't affect your channel. This is not a copyright strike.

Yeah, I'll do that trim out segment. Okay, trim out segment continue. Trim done.

Okay, so it's done. So that should now be sorted. That's very weird.

How can it be a copyright? A video of my little boy? How can that be a copyright ever? It makes no sense. So anyway, what I've been doing today, the last few days actually, is I have been uploading old videos to my YouTube channel. So I just it takes a while to do it.

But so far I've got how many have I uploaded 333 videos. So I've been uploading just all the any old videos of me on camera. I've also been uploading videos of Andre.

There's some most of them are quite short. I think four minutes is about the longest one I've got. Two seconds is the shortest.

But it's basically a little video of him sleeping with his tongue out. So I kept it in anyway. So there's just little ones Andre stealing my breakfast.

And what's the other ones? Andre needs a cuddle. Andre determined to walk. That's when he injured his back leg the first time the year before.

It was much worse. But the first time it was really bad. And I had to, that's when a little kid stomped on him.

And I took him to the vets and he had to have a sedative to get x-rayed. And they did say that they're not sure if it's you know, how well it would heal. And you know what the long term effects would be.

But he had an adverse effect or adverse adverse effect. He was adversely affected by the sedative. And but he recovered.

And it shows him there's a video of him trying determined to walk and he was still wanting to go out. And he was hobbling along is quite cute. Knowing that that was when he did recover.

Got no videos of him when he didn't before he did recover before he didn't. If that makes sense. Yeah, there's a 139 is four minutes of him eating ice cream and Christmas pudding.

And there's a one that Andre in the park and one licking his favorite post outside. So yeah, there's a there's a few have to check Andre see how many there are for Andre 24. Really? There's 24 videos so far.

And it looks to me like this is also this copyrighted as well. That'd be why it'd be weird if it is. So Andre, basically, I'm putting down old video in brackets, because, well, they're old videos.

I mean, that's, that's why really, if I have the date, I put the date in but I don't. So I also uploaded some of the what's what they called the Jason chats. Because I just figured, well, I suppose in a way, I'm starting to be a little bit nostalgic, maybe just a little bit, just a tiny bit.

Just just the incy wincy kind of, huh? You know, I mean, just like, hmm, the past. And there's so much stuff that I've lost over the years. So many old videos from, you know, over a decade ago that I don't have.

And I'd like to see it. But Jason chats from 2010 2011 2012 1314 1516 got none of them. There was hundreds, hundreds of videos, as well as hypnosis stuff as well.

Oh, well. So 12345678910. So I'll upload some more stuff for from Andre.

And I've got a few videos for Vinnie as well. But there's going to be stuff on Facebook that I can, that I can get that is not that I've just uploaded Facebook from my phone and haven't saved it. There's also going to be stuff on Apple, the cloud or whatever, iCloud, where there'll be stuff as well.

So I'll have a look on there. Have a look, see what's on there. So what am I doing Andre? Okay, to upload 12345678910.

And then there's 123455 left after that. So yeah, I'm just basically that's what I've been doing most of the day. Because I've already gone through the other.

So I've got three hard drives. And I've already gone through the first hard drive, which is the current one I use. But I knew that I took some of the videos from the from that drive and put it onto one of the older drives.

Because there wasn't enough room. Because I've only got three was it six terabytes on that one. There wasn't enough room on there for all the videos.

So when I've done this, all the videos that I upload to YouTube, I'm going to take them off the hard drive that I use now and put them onto a hard drive that I don't really use anymore. And I'll store them and they'll just be kept. I might store them twice.

So that I've got like double and maybe I'll do that with all the recordings as well. So I've got everything stored as a backup twice. Although to be honest, I probably don't have enough room on either of the other hard drives.

So maybe I'll do one have one hard drive for the videos and one for the recordings. recordings a bit spitty, wasn't it? So yeah, that's I think that's what I'll do. And because that was the mistake I made not having backups.

I lost hundreds and hundreds of recordings last year. And I've lost stuff before I just didn't really just lack of lack of something organization maybe possibly possibly Yeah, most definitely. So on this one, okay, that's the elements one.

And videos. Let's have a look. So I got 10 hour vids with background.

From what I'll let you know what I mean. So here we go. I've got Okay, so if I go to my main drive, which is the one that I use most of the time is YouTube videos, YouTube vids.

So for example, if you go to Jason chats, or three there, so I need to integrate. So I need so Let Me Bore You To Sleep, click on that one. No music, unsure uploaded with music.

So that's the three, three folders. And uploaded, there's nothing in there with music. With music.

Blimey. So I'm surprised these videos are made. And there's like 12345678 1621.

There's more than 17. And no music. There are 12345678.

123456789 was a plus two. So there's a few. I mean, if some of them are me talking like on camera, and some of them are videos I made, kind of making and I did.

And it's a candle. Like it's natural candle that I filmed. And it's just me talking.

So there's a couple of copies. So it's not 57 probably. It may well be 34 between 30 and 40.

That's good. I was excited about that for a minute for Wow. But then I thought you know, I don't remember doing that many.

I don't remember anything I really do. But when it comes to these recordings, because there's no need really. I did a recording and I move on.

I wonder how many videos I've got that I could perhaps download videos that I don't have because these are going to be live videos, live streams because it always saves them.

440 views of that blimey. See, I just I don't take any notice of people watching the videos on Facebook, because a stream and then let's put one to YouTube and get like six views. And yeah, February, this this this February.

Yeah, 2024. So I talked for about an hour and 20 minutes, but didn't put in the correct title of it. So what I'll do see the mini came on there.

What I'll do I won't click on any others now. I will download not today, but maybe tomorrow. All of the recordings off of YouTube or for Facebook, rather, all of them.

And then I will found some stuff on there that have Andre as well. So so I'll download all of that. And then I can search through.

Oh, wow. I remember my I just remember the video I made. There's a video and I'm doing the Let Me Bore You To Sleep.

And I guess I'm feeling well, it's a live, live thing. So I'm filming it. And I hear clattering in the kitchen.

As I go in and I open the cupboard, I hear it's in the cupboard, Vinnie's inside the kitchen cupboard, rattling around the tins, the cans and that. And there's the picture on there is of him looking up at me. So cute.

And yet, so there's quite a few quite a few videos of me on here. Although I think I used to have all the videos of me, like the old videos of the hypnosis stuff, and I deleted them all. But all of these, if I want to do is put on to mute so that it doesn't play.

But I'm just gonna the oldest one is 37 minutes. So that must have been Jason chats live. Okay.

This is ask Jason live. 23rd of February 2018. So this is me answering questions live.

Blimey. So yeah, wow. What's this one? 15 seconds long.

Oh, man. I was on this Andre. There's a video of him trying.

He's trying to climb. He's basically jumping up at the near the radio in the hallway. My coat is hanging down.

He's trying to grab onto the bar. He's grabbing onto the sleeve. And I catch him.

As soon as he sees me, he runs towards me. Like he wasn't doing anything. Very funny, man.

Wow. Especially when you consider how little he is, to be able to jump that high. So I'm glad I took videos.

I kind of wish I took more now. I think that about Vinnie, I should take more video footage of him, post it on YouTube post on Facebook and just have it there for the future. You know, because it's not always going to be what he will always be little.

But it's just nice to have the memories that the thing is with Andre is I still like taking photographs of him, especially when he was asleep because he was so cute. But he caught, I named this caught in the act. That's a 15th of March 2018.

But whenever he saw me, or he'd hear me coming in, that would be it. And he'd like run off or he'd move. I've got another one 22 seconds long.

Again. Wow, this is weird. This is something that I don't know how this was put together.

But it's a bunch of pictures. 17th of June 2018. As a picture of Andre in his cage in his hammock.

Just like looking hanging down his tongue out and so yeah, that was Vinnie starting to bark the neighbors back now. So I'm not sure. I might have to stop the recording.

Well, I don't think they're on YouTube. But yeah, it's weird. It's just this nostalgia coming up out of nowhere.

I'm kind of playing looking through stuff and trying to figure out. And then so I said to have a little break there just gone down and helped move the stuff into the my neighbor's flat. And then the other night we came in and we neighbor now and the other neighbor actually only said to me, the new neighbor, she said when she's in the garden, she can hear me snoring.

Hear me snoring. I've never snored in my life. Maybe I have.

Oh, dear. So although it's 11 o'clock, it's nine minutes past 11 now started this. Oh, I don't know.

Years ago. So this might be a fairly short recording. Obviously, it's going to be 10 hours long if it's a 10 hour version.

Or five hours long if it's the five hour version. So being shorter doesn't really make that much difference. I guess if you're listening to it for 10 hours, long, it's not like, you know, 10 minutes, because then I'll be a bit, but we won't be much point, I guess, really, making the recording that lasted 10 minutes.

Unless it was supposed to be 10 minute long recording, I guess. I think. But yeah, so I'm gonna go and I'm gonna have something to eat, have a cup of tea.

So it's gonna be a later night for me. So I'll probably be in bed by excuse me midnight, because I'm hungry. My stomach's churning, my stomach's growling.
