Hello and welcome to Let Me Bore You To Sleep. Why? Why? I don't even get through the first sentence without embarking. He wasn't even in this room.

As soon as I turned the machine on, the recording thing, he come, I hear his little feet like that. I said, I just thought I hear is and he turns up and he just sits there staring at me. Some continue setting things up at the microphone, check the sound and all that stuff.

Turn YouTube off because I was watching something and I literally got through one sentence. Well, I've got all the windows open, so I guess there's a lot of sounds. You're not sitting on my foot.

Bless him. So, only listen when you can safely close your eyes. I've undone the undonning of the undone.

So what I did previously was I cancelled a bunch of stuff and then I uncancelled it yesterday and now cancelled it all again. Just like things that I can't keep going at the moment. So the websites, the, so I had to cancel subscriptions to YouTube and any other things I've got, all that stuff.

I won't go through all again, but just the things I mentioned before. Such as probably written down. Where's it written down? Oh, there is GTP, YouTube, Canva, TurboScribe, Netflix, Amazon Music, Amazon, Kindle uploads, Nord, Ring.

So they're all cancelled. Because I've got an email, I got an email from my catalogue saying, you need to pay £168 this month. It's like, okay, great.

It's just, it's just a lack of preparation really on my part. It's okay. I can't find, that's weird.

But there it is. So I've worked out what I've got to pay. So yeah, June, what have I got? 4th of June, I've got £27.43 to pay out for the small credit card.

5th of June, Argos £16.48. That's the back, the amount I owe them that I haven't paid last month. Then the 17th, I've got £100 for the big credit card. 19th, I've got £168.79 for the catalogue.

And then 22nd of June, £28.23 for Argos again. That's just for those bits. That's about all the other things.

The first of the month TV licence £13 council tax £21. But that won't come out until tomorrow because it's a weekend, isn't it? So tomorrow, £13, £21 for council tax. Gas and electric £135.

That's tomorrow. Then on the 7th, I've got the phone and internet £53.14. The 8th of June, pet insurance £67. 20th of June, Apple Cloud £8.99. 30th of June, now is for the now TV but I'm kind of stuck in a contract with them £5.99. That is half price.

And then I've got the two podcasts to pay out for. Don't know when that is. It's throughout the month anyway.

So at least I'm more organised, kind of. So yeah, that's that's it. So I'm trying to stick that on the wall as well.

So at least it's a bit clearer because there's been times in the past where I've just not opened bills and maybe we've all been there in different ways. If I don't look at it, it's not there. It doesn't exist if I don't look at it.

But you know, that's how I ended up going bankrupt 18 years ago, because it was the only reason I was ill. I got ill and I just refused. I refused to sign on.

I wanted to still work. So I worked part time for a year and that just left me in debt. But hey, there you go.

This isn't about that anyway. It's not what this recording is about. It's about what is this recording about? Well, what I've been doing today is very little because last night I watched the boxing.

Wow, it was really good. I mean, every single fight was really good. The worst fight was the last fight.

And that was still really good because of how it ended. And it didn't last very long. Yeah, that was Big Bang Zhang and Deontay, Brown Bomber, Wilder, who I think is probably going to retire.

If you didn't see it, then I've just bought it for you. All the other... I mean, it's quite weird because Eddie Hearn was going against... Well, Mattrim Boxing was against... Well, it's Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn. I'm trying to think what the... Kingsbury? Not Kingsbury.

Anyway, but Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren were going head-to-head. They had five fighters each against each other. So there's five fights.

And then there was the Bivol fight as well, defending his light heavyweight title, which should have been... Well, in my mind, that should have been the headliner because that was... They put on two heavyweights that weren't fighting for any title, that lost their last two fights. That was the headliner. But I think part of the reason they did that is because I don't know how many people stayed up till half one in the morning to watch it because it went on.

It really was a long night. It started at seven because even when it started at four a couple of weeks ago, the other show, which had loads of fights on, it still went on till like midnight. So they didn't mess around.

They didn't spend much time between fights. Just got the next ones out and it's really good. And the thing is, yesterday afternoon, I washed my pillows in a washing machine, put my pillows in a washing machine and washed them.

And then I thought, oh, they're all wet. What am I going to do? Because I don't know about you, but I like to have my head resting on a pillow. It's just something I got used to over the last 50 odd years.

So they weren't... I had the heating on. I didn't even need the heating on, but I was trying to dry them off and it was getting so hot in there. I had the windows open.

I was sweating. I mean, there's still a puddle on my sofa, a bum puddle. And I just, it was, yeah, it wasn't good.

But they still didn't dry. They were dry-ish, but not dry enough. So what I had to do is get my quilt.

I didn't have to, but it was lie down or not lie down. Those were two options. And I decided I wanted to lie down.

So I put the quilt at the top of the bed and tried to make some kind of pillow thing. And it really wasn't very comfortable. It was comfortable lying on my back, but I can't go to sleep lying on my back because of the sleep apnea.

So I need to sleep on the side and it wasn't comfortable. So I didn't get really get a huge amount of sleep last night. And I got up and, you know, did the editing and all the stuff that I normally do.

The pillows still weren't dry this morning, but by about three hours ago, I think the pillows were dry. Oh, it was such a lovely feeling. I've not slept on them yet.

They're on the bed, but it was lovely. Or have I? Maybe I have. I don't think I have.

No, I haven't. No, I haven't. Have I? No.

No, I haven't slept on them yet. And it was just, oh, it was like so nice just to know that I'm going to be able to rest my weary old head, heavy old thing on this clean pillow. The first time I've had a clean pillow in ages.

I mean, really, it's, I mean, I've got a pillow and Vinnie's got a pillow. I had to wash both of them. And I'll be honest, they were both equal, equally as grim.

I didn't mean that horribly, Vinnie. But even when my friend stayed over last night before last, I told him, Vinnie sleeps on that pillow. And he said, oh, thanks for letting me know.

Well, he didn't realise I told him the wrong pillow. I am a funny old lad. No, I didn't.

I just didn't mention it. Let him find out himself. No, I did.

I did mention it. I don't know why I'm saying that. I don't know why.

I don't know why. So it's been lovely today. It's been a really nice, sunny day this afternoon.

I've been out pretty much all day. It's been a little bit windy. I've been out, I think three times so far.

And I'm probably not going to go out again until it's time to take him to bed. Because it's 20 past seven now. And I don't need, I'll probably be in bed by 10.

So yeah, I'll take him out. I mean, what I've been doing this morning, I've been a little bit lazy, just taking him into the garden. It's just a little bit easier.

And I don't normally do that. But sometimes, especially if I'm a little bit tired, and I just don't really want to get all dressed up in my best suit and my wellies, you know, me fishing hat. I just I just I like to just go out in me, me pyjamas into the garden.

And yeah, it's just more relaxed. And I can just stand there and the seven meters on the cord for the the what's it not fishing line, the lead the dog lead, Fiddy's lead. So there's seven meters, we could pretty much go the other side of the garden.

It's not a big garden. So I can stand one end and he can get to the other end. Because his mom lives opposite.

So he always tries to go in there. Always, it's like, also his girlfriend lives upstairs up over this other side as well. So he loves her absolutely goes, goes.

I want to use the word but we're not supposed to use that word anymore. But he goes absolutely, you know, haywire. Is that a better word? Haywire? Haywire? Yes.

I'm still a little bit tired because I don't feel like I really got much sleep last night. So much. I've done a bit of housework today.

So I've done some vacuuming bit of tidying up. Oh man, I was sweating and my glasses were all steamed up and there was a I was bending over. Don't worry, this isn't going anywhere weird.

I was bending over. And I had the hoop on my in my one hand. So she's got very hot, very strong suction.

Again, this isn't going anywhere weird. And I stuck it up into the other hand or like the say into the you know, the one the flat surface because what I do quite often I use it without the flat one. You know, the thing that you push against the floor.

I use it without that. So it's just just like, basically, it's just the hole that can suck up stuff. It's just a bit easier.

It's good for doing caught like the wall surfaces, the edges of walls and stuff. But because quite a lot of the stuff I've got collected is in small bits because if I told you I've got this little little animal in my flat that likes to wreck things. And yeah, he leaves things in tiny little bits.

So gradually, gradually, gradually, gradually trying very slowly to tidy this place up. And I do mean very slowly because I did that. I vacuumed the hall, I vacuumed some of the bedroom.

I vacuumed some of this room as well as clearing behind the city. And I found stuff that I haven't seen for years. But it was weird because I only cleared behind there about six months ago, but I found stuff I haven't seen for a long, long, long, long time.

And trying to think there was like, oh, yeah, there was some of his toys. Things I haven't seen for ages. Oh, my dignity that was behind there.

Self-respect. And so, you know, a lot of things I haven't seen for ages. It's very strange.

Like, how did they get under there? Because I don't drop stuff over the top unless Vinnie, because he can get behind there. Maybe he takes stuff behind there when I'm not taking any notice of him. I don't know.

I really don't. Unless I just kick stuff under the front, you know, I just go to sit down and it just gets moved further and further to the back. A bit like those penny machines, you know, those coin machines that you put in arcades.

I don't know if they still have them. And it's like a flat surface and there's a thing moving in and out. And you put a coin and it goes all the way down, zigzag, zigzag, and then it settles.

And if it sells flat, you might get some coins pushed out and you win some money. It was nothing like that, really, I guess. But, you know, in a sense of pushing stuff in, that's what I mean.

But instead of the wall coming out, it's my foot going in or my heel. That made sense when I said it out. Well, it made sense before I said it out but it wasn't in my head for a long time.

I just didn't explain it very well, I think, I think. So I've still been, I'll still be working on YouTube, just gradually but surely uploading the videos. It's taken quite some time, which is okay.

And I do a bit, a bit here, a bit there. So if you want to find me, I'm on YouTube, just my name, you'll find me there, Jason Newland. Also, I've got a Facebook group called Jason Newland's Boring Group.

And currently, the subscribers have gone up to 1216. So that's all right. It's just going up every day, it goes up a little bit.

I've got 519 videos. And it's kind of weird, because, oh, okay, okay, okay, okay. So 2006, it's gone up by one since yesterday, one subscriber, but the day before yesterday was 2007.

1207. Yeah, then it went up to 1215 in a day. But the previous day is 1200 up to 1207.

The previous day to that was 1195 up to 1200. 1188 up to 1195. So it's just going up a few every day.

I don't know it might it might be people listen to this podcast to just because I'm saying go to my YouTube channel, man. And you might be coming along and subscribing. So thank you if you are.

It might be I mean, there was Oh, I can't I won't be able to find it now I someone left me a message. So look at Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no. Comments.

Comments. Okay, comments. So it's I had a comment left.

And I had a comment, comment, comment, comment. Where is it? YouTube Studio. Okay.

Blimey. Comments, comments. Here we go.

Okay, so Oh, mentions. Right. It's only got comments on I've not replied to.

So there's only a few. There's one that was on here. And it was someone said, Oh, YouTube is just recommended one of your videos to me.

And I'm not seeing you on YouTube. In years. Used to follow you in the old days.

Can't believe just out of the blue YouTube just like recommended one of your videos. And see, yeah, that's kind of strange, really. And I don't know why YouTube would be recommended anything that I'm done, done.

I'm done. I'm doing because it's all just old stuff. But it's nice, you know, it's nice that people are latest comments, just see if it's on there.

Because got latest comments. Whoever does this any chance away? Nope. Published.

So these are published. Why is it? Why is it not shown in LD reply? Why do you only have? Right. How strange.

It's like it's just disappeared. It's like it's just gone. And I don't know why.

Oh, well, see how many how many What have I got? So the last 365 days, according to this, I had 1717 public watch hours. And 3.2,000 public short views the last 90 days. I'm surprised it's not.

Well, because I deleted a lot of stuff. So I reckon probably a lot more than 1700 hours, I reckon. But 1700 What is that in days? 1700 hours in days.

Let's have a look. Oh, come on, you want to know as well. I don't know.

So yeah, I can't remember what I was talking about. Now. Looking at Vinnie and he was looking at me giving me a weird, weird look.

Almost as to say, Oh, you know, he did earlier, he came in here. Right. And he let one go.

And it was bad. It was really, really bad. What are you doing? You know, he's now basically going with us.

Are you begging? What is it you're looking at? Oh, he's seen a fly or something. He's seen a fly. I can't see a fly.

There was a fly here yesterday, and he was obsessed with it like all day, all night, completely obsessed with catching this fly. I don't know what happened to it. But he's caught sight of something that he wants to get.

But I don't know what it is. Something's caught his attention. But he loves that.

He literally will. Oh, I see where it is. There is a fly.

It's now on. It might be the same one. It's now on the lampshade thing on the other side of the room.

So he does. Oh, no, I think he has seen it. But he's it's got camouflage because it's a black pole.

So the fly is climbing up. Really? The fly is climbing up the black pole. It says camouflage.

It's the other side. It must be clever. It's the other side of the pole.

And you might be thinking, well, how do I know it's there if it's the other side of the pole? Because I have x-ray vision. Plus, there's mirrors on every wall. So stop trying to trick me.

No, I saw it. I saw it fly on there. It came around.

I saw his head poking around looking at me just to see if I was watching. It's definitely. It is.

It's like he's caught sight of something. But I don't know what it is because the fly seems to be over there. It could be a little spider on the floor or something.

It's definitely. Yeah, he's got his. He's got his.

He's a hunter, isn't he? By his by instinct, he's a hunter. So if something's smaller than him, he kind of wants to hunt it. And he gets so much pleasure from it as well.

He'll stare at a spider on the wall or fly. And I just sit there for hours staring at this thing and it gives him, I guess it stimulates and stimulates his brain, stimulates it. He loves it.

He's happy doing that right now. He's completely absorbed in what he's looking at and he's sniffing. Something's got his attention.

He keeps sniffing like he's sniffing around the sofa. Maybe mind you, that is that's where the puddle was. Now he's eating something off the floor.

Maybe that's why he dropped stuff on the floor just so he can leave it there for him. He's like a squirrel. Instead of burying the nuts, he just leaves the treats on the floor so he can just collect them whenever he wants.

He was just eating and then he stopped completely silent and just stared under the table. I don't know what it is. Quite fascinating watching him sometimes.

It is a little bit like I used to think that a little bit with Andre. It's like having wildlife in your house. I know having a dog is, you know, every man and his dog has a dog, but it's having a ferret and stuff, that's probably a little bit less.

But it's still animals, isn't it? It's still animals. I mean, I thought it'd be quite cool to have a monkey, like a little monkey, not a big monkey, a little one. The ones that stay cute, like always cute.

You know, I don't want because some of those chimpanzees, they're super cute with the little one. They get big and they're, you know, maybe not quite so cute. But it's not people's fault for wanting one of them.

It's Tarzan's fault. It is, isn't it? Tarzan. Tarzan movies.

Cheetah. That confused me. He's called Cheetah, but he's a monkey.

Really, really confused me. Like, but how can he be? Why is he called Cheetah if he's not a cheetah? I mean, is that cheetah called monkey? I'm confused. And genuinely, I still am.

Why was he called cheetah? Was he called cheetah? Now it doesn't sound right. Cheetah. Cheetah.

Come on, cheetah. I know Jane was Tarzan's wife. Tarzan.

Tarzan monkey. Monkey friend. Cheetah.

It was cheetah. Yeah, I tell you it's weird. Okay, here's a weird one.

Right. All right, let me just show you what I mean. Okay, this is something that's very strange.

Do do do. Okay, it's something I've noticed about AI. And I find it kind of strange, to be honest.

Because... Okay, it's not working now. Wow, it's going slow. It's because I cancelled it.

Because I cancelled it, it doesn't like me anymore. It's still, it's still valid until like a few more days. But like, nope, it don't like you now.

Okay, I'll do it. In suit walking. Ah, okay.

That's fine. Okay, that's fine. I won't, I won't tell you what I was going to say because it used to be... Oh, right.

Now I won't. It's basically there was some stuff that it didn't used to do, saying this is inappropriate when it wasn't at all. And but now it's changed.

That's fine. So I go to Copilot. What does it do on there? Does anyone else use any of the AI tools? The lot, the lot, lot, lot, lot, lot, lot, lot, large language models, LLMs.

Apart from like everyone in the world. I'll tell you what, my Q&A Friday got a lot of... For some reason, I don't understand why. It was on my other podcast, not the Let Me Boyd Asleep one, but the Sleepy, Sleepy, whatever it's called.

It's... People are still listening to it. Mind you, it's 10 hours long. And then everything went oh so wonderful.

Oh, yeah, it's weird because it's not weird that I get in people listening because I do get people listen sometimes. I have at least six people a day listen to my podcast. It's I do it for love.

That's why I do it. I just want to I want to help and I want to be of use for those three people that listen. And, you know, it's like, well, what's the point? It's a whole parable, isn't it? What's the point in them? What was the parable? Okay, there was a... Okay, yeah, there was a munchkin from the set of Wizard of Oz.

It is on the set of Wizard of Oz, but it was on a break. And the studio was actually there was another studio close by, which was the studio for another movie, which was set on a beach. I think it was it might have been.

What is it? The Treasure Island? I think it was. Yeah. So which is being filmed at the same time.

They're different different studios in the same same place. But, you know, because their places are huge. So this munchkin is walking along the beach and chucking pebbles into the sea.

Again, Vinnie is barking. He's just responding to outside sounds of neighbors shouting. Isn't it groovy? So this munchkin is walking on the beach.

He's just on a break. Walking on a beach of the Treasure Island set, a movie set, chucking in stones. Well, I say stones.

They're actually, what's it? Grains of sand. But to the munchkins, they were like stones because they're so little. And trying to skim the grain of sand is very hard because they, you know, these come pretty much dissolved, don't they? They don't really dissolve.

They look like they dissolve. But they do like drop down to the bottom. Because sand never dissolved, does it? Because it's.

But it does look like it does, though, doesn't it? Isn't it weird? It kind of melts. But it doesn't melt. It looks like it's melting.

Anyway, it's not really about the sand, this story. That's not what the parable is about. The munchkin, make sure I get the words right.

The munchkin was, he was the little one with a pipe. I said the little one. He was the one with the pipe.

And, you know, when Dorothy's there and they all go, I am like, don't make him whatever. And he's one of them. And always know, is it was it the one that said, I've got to check that the witch is dead.

Not really, but really, really, really dead. And. But what kind of are you? I'm a witch.

But you don't look like a witch. You're beautiful. I know I'm the witch of the South.

Anyway, so. Dorothy, yes, is one of those ones that come dancing and I mean, they all dance, don't they? It's hard to like. Without visuals, it's trying to explain it in a verbally kind of a way.

But that's pretty much. Yes, it's the one with the pipe. And there was no tobacco in that.

It was just bubbles. I want to say bubbles. You know, no relation to Michael Jackson.

It was. It was like the proper bubbles, you know, bubbles that float. Do they float or they're just so light that they get blown by the air? That's the thing.

I don't think they actually float. So I've got helium in them. But because of the shape, they get lifted by the air, because if there's no air, if you've got bubbles and there's no air at all, well, so there's always air.

Otherwise, you'd be in space. Apparently, space smells really bad. Anyway, if you if you've got no like wind at all, the bubbles just fall down to the ground and go pop as a pop.

So they don't really float today. Bubbles. It's more that they're affected by the the air flow.

But again, that's not really what the parable is about. So. The munchkins on the beach, so one with the pipe with the bubbles is throwing grains of sand, trying to skim them across the ocean.

And when in fact, really, it's just scenery, isn't it? To be honest, there's no sea there. It's just I mean, if if the munchkin had any kind of, not that they don't have any strength, but he didn't realize that it was scenery. There was just a big board with the sea painted on.

He didn't know that because he'd never been to the beach before. Never been to the beach. And he didn't realize that the sea moves.

And that there's usually kind of a breeze and a certain sea smell, which varies depending on which beach you go on to, I guess. And if he'd actually had pebbles, if he'd been like a human, I mean, he was a munchkin. So it was a munchkin.

He wasn't human, was he? He was a munchkin. If he'd been like human size, he would have probably used a pebble and chucked it at the sea and it would have bounced off. And he'd have thought, oh, well, I don't know what he'd have thought.

The sea's very bouncy today, or maybe, oh, it's windy. The wind just literally turned back that pebble. Wow.

It is hard to really imagine what he would be thinking. I mean, I'm guessing as a munchkin, all he's really thinking about is looking around for witches and flying monkeys. I mean, I would, wouldn't you? I do anyway, to be honest.

It's very rarely that I go out when I'm not thinking at all. I actually, you know, after watching The Wizard of Oz, I spent the next 20 years, I wouldn't leave the house without a bucket of water. Just in case a witch attacked me.

You see? A lot of thought goes into these podcasts. A lot of effort. Hours of writing.

Yeah, right. Sure. Isn't it weird? I've done what, 1,000, I don't know how many, six, over six years of doing this, and I've not spent all those hours.

I don't think I've spent probably not even 10 minutes writing what I'm going to say for the whole six years, not even 10 minutes. I think I did when I first started, I made a brief, when I first started doing these, like a brief outline of, maybe I'll talk about that. And occasionally, that's something I want to mention today, so I'll write it on a piece of paper maybe.

But that's it, you know? It's, you imagine if I had some kind of, or any, just the slightest snidget, snibjet? I don't know, of, that's, snidget. It rhymes with a word that we can't say, which is ironic, because we're talking about munchkins. A smidget of professionalism or dedication or work ethic, but, because I don't, yeah, you know? So that's fine.

So this munchkin is standing, I mean, I assume he's standing, it's hard to know, isn't it? But I think he was standing up, and, I mean, it's got to be weird to be the same height when you're standing up, when you're sitting down. Like, the same height, how is that even possible? I talk about, when I stand up, I'm actually taller, because my bum's so big. Seriously, when I stand up, my head, when I sit down, my head bangs on the ceiling.

My bum is so huge. It's ridiculous. Sometimes, I can sit down without even knowing that I'm sitting down, because it drags on the floor behind me.

Shall I stop now? Shall I? Okay, I'll move on. So, because you've got the, you've got the image. Wow.

Right. So, okay, where are we? Where was I? Where was I? I know. Yeah, munchkin.

On a beach, chucking pebbles, sand. It wasn't actually sand, to be fair. It was just gravel.

Because you didn't realize, because sand isn't as big as gravel. Gravel's much, yeah, it depends what kind of gravel it is. It wasn't big gravel.

It was big gravel mixed with small gravel, just as a filler. So, the only small gravel, and it was painted brown, light brown, like sand, it was only the top layer. So, as he walked along, I assume he was walking, he was kicking away the top layer of the sand, which was gravel.

And you could see there was bigger lumps of sand or gravel rather on on the floor. And if you watch the movie, which is what Treasure Island, and if you look down at the ground, you might see that you might see Oh, that's gravel. It's that weird how the lower the top layer is much smoother and smaller.

But then as they're walking, you can see it's almost like they're walking in mud, or gravel, probably more like gravel, but colored gravel that's flavored like sand. So it's, it's decorated as a sand decorations. So that's where they got it from.

Because the the bloke that was in charge of the special effects, because that was that's what special effects was back in 1939. Which I think is when the Wizard of Oz was created. But what also Treasure Island, I keep forgetting the name of it.

Because that's not what we're really talking about. We're talking about the Wizard of Oz, aren't we really? But Treasure Island, but we're not really talking about the Wizard of Oz or Treasure Island. It's about the parable.

Which, for the life of me, I've got no idea why I was even talking about a parable. But I will finish the story, but I don't know what it's in conjunction with. I generally don't.

I can't remember. Was it something to do with the, the, I really don't know. Anyway, so the munchkins on the beach walking along.

And oh, yeah, I know. Yeah, I know why. And he sees a mermaid on the beach, gasping for breath.

And so what he does is, he is incredibly strong, by the way, just so you know. So he picked up the mermaid and chucked her into the sea. She smashed against the board in, you know, because it's just board, you know, it's a big wall, smashed against there.

It's like, it wasn't good. But he was incredibly sick. He'd like just chuck her.

He thought he was doing a good thing. Like we, she said, What are you doing? He said, Well, you're struggling. Just, I thought you was in trouble.

And you need to get into the sea. And because you're struggling to breathe. He said, No, he said, Well, no, I'm, I was just having a little bit of, I was a bit hot.

And it just, that's all. So nothing, nothing weird. I just choked on a biscuit and I'm okay.

I was just getting my breath back. He said, Oh, didn't know mermaids ate biscuits. She said, There's probably a lot you don't know about mermaids.

What are you? Are you a mermaid expert? Are you? And the munchkin said, I might as well give you his name. Elvis, his name was Elvis. He said, Oh, Elvis, he was named after.

No, he wasn't named after Elvis. Obviously, he was around before Elvis was named after him. See? So it's worth remembering some, so not everybody, any, no, Elvis was named after the munchkin.

And it wasn't just that the, he was, he was named after the munchkin. Well, partly because of the mermaid, but because of the parable and Elvis's family were very religious. And that's why they wanted to give him a meaningful name.

They didn't know that he was going to end up being the most famous singer in the world. Otherwise, they probably would have called him Roy Orbison or given a more catchier name, Mick Jagger. Elvis at the time, because there wasn't many people called Elvis when he was when Elvis Presley was being growing up.

But during the time of what's his name? Elvis, what's his name? Losing track too many doors slam and I'm losing track of who's who's who and what's doing what whatever. And then he's not barking, which he normally does. During Elvis the munchkins life, loads of loads of Elvis's in the munchkin world.

There's literally three names that people were called men that were, I say men, but I mean, the males I mean, because they're munchkins. They're not humans are they? munchkins aren't humans. They live on a different planet, the Wizard of Oz.

It's a different planet. It's not a human place. See.

And I wasn't being sexist. So there's three names for men. So Elvis, the other names, I think.

Oh, Jacqueline. And George. So those are three names.

I don't know why. But that was the three names. And they tried something new, tried something new.

Like someone said, you know what? I want everyone to call me Jackie. For sure. And they would never say Jackie.

No. No, just I want to show my name. Because there's only three names Elvis, Jacqueline, Jacqueline, Jacqueline, and George.

And this this munchkins said that's no. I want to I want to show my I want my name to be Jackie. Call me Jackie.

And I said, Listen, George, your name is you're given the name George and you should be called George. And then Elvis says, Oh, but I want to be called George. And George said, Well, I want to be called Elvis, but I'm not.

So let's just leave it, shall we? And they argued. Wow. Wow.

Did they argue? Sometimes what I had to do is, in order to sort out the arguments between them, they would arm wrestle. The problem with this is because they were so strong, the arm wrestles would last for decades. And they wouldn't be able to I mean, there's still two there now.

They've had to rebuild all around the set of the Wizard of Oz and cordon it off because two of the munchkins are still there now arm wrestling. It's true. Over who takes Dorothy out for a date.

I didn't go and tell them. You know, I mean, so anyway, this munchkin Elvis was on the beach. It's not really a beach, the set of Treasure Island.

So he's thrown, with good faith, thrown the not ladybird, not ostrich, not blow me, not the dolphin. You know, the what's the name into the into the sea, but it wasn't the sea. And he said, Yeah, but I was trying to help you breathe.

And she said, What do you mean? Mermaids, they need to remember the name now. Mermaids. You need to be in the sea.

He said, Yeah, what does mermaid mean? Elvis said, I don't know. Actually, what he really said was, I don't know. Sorry, for your money.

And she said, Well, I'm half fish, and half human. He said, Yeah, why are you telling me that? You just try to chuck me into the ocean. He said, Yeah, obviously.

She said, Which half of me is the fish? And he thought, Oh, nope, I'm not falling for that one. No, no, no, I can't win this. She said, What do you mean? He said, Whatever I say, it's going to be wrong in it.

If I say that you're the top half of you looks like a fish, you're gonna say no. I say the bottom half of you looks like a fish, you're gonna say no. And I can't win.

It's like, No, it wasn't a weird question. Like, which part of me is a fish? He said, Oh, okay, the bottom half of you. Now, which part of me breathes? Which part of me that is there a hole where I breathe? Okay, which part? Where is my mouth? That's what I'm trying to say.

Where's my mouth and my nostrils? Okay. I breathe through my mouth. I don't breathe through my tail.

That would be weird. And quick as a flash. The munchkin said, not as weird as a person that is half human and half fish.

The thing is, he said it so slowly. It didn't have any impact. And it's one of those situations where it probably would have been cleverer and more musing if it had said something completely different in a different way to a different person at a different time.

You know, it would have been just, you know, didn't quite hit the mark as it were. Although, on the other hand, she did she hit the the board where the sea was painted on. And he said, I'm sorry.

I was just trying to help. You know, and he said, sorry about that. And then he's walking continues walking.

He said, have a good day or more. And so he waddles along. And he comes across another mermaid.

So he chucks her into the sea. But this time, it's like the same thing happens, you know, bounces off the wall. And this mermaid said, what are you doing? He couldn't understand it because her face was actually a fish this time.

And it was the legs that were human, which confused him. But didn't upset him. He was surprised at that.

Never realized he was into fish in that way. But then he thought, but why not? I'm a munchkin. I don't have to live by human standards.

I'm a different species. I'm not a human. So therefore, liking fish is not necessarily a weird thing in munchkin land, in the Wizard of Oz, that the wizard, the land of Oz rather.

It didn't all happen inside the Wizard of Oz. That would have been a different story altogether. But this fish woman said, mermaid says, what are you doing? He said, I'm just chucking you back into the water.

And the other, the other fish person came up, well, kind of crawled up and said, he just did that to me. And the munchkin Elvis said, excuse me, pronouns, not he, it, it, and that. That's me.

That's my pronouns. She said, oh, sorry. It just did that to me.

It did what to you? That I can't. I did me to her. No, you, you did what? You just said to her that I did me to her.

No, I said that it did that to me. Oh, no. Okay.

So I got it. You just said that I did that. I did me to you.

What? What? What? And it was a little bit confusing, but it's like, okay, let's move on. Okay. And the the munchkin was like a bit confused.

Like, come on, I'm trying to help you all. And the first mermaid said, yeah, but you threw me in against the wall. Try it.

You think it was the ocean. You didn't learn from that. He said, yeah, but I don't know why you'll see you must be allergic to water.

She said, I'm a mermaid. How could I be allergic to water? He said, well, some people are allergic to water. He said, name, she said, well, name one person that's allergic to water.

See, and this was a good thing about Elvis, right? Munchkin. He's had this up his sleeve his whole life. He's been waiting his whole life to be able to answer this because he thought one day someone's going to say that to me and they're going to feel they're really clever, but I will have a much clever answer.

And quick as a flash, he said, the evil witch is allergic to water. It melts her. And the, the first mermaid and the second mermaid both looked at each other and at the same time, like, oh no, you're not from that.

You're not from that movie set. Oh yeah. Not the, the wizard of Boz or whatever it's called.

Now I think you find it's the wizard of Oz. Yeah. You from that movie set.

Yeah. Oh, blimey. I should have known.

He said, what's the problem? They said, well, the first one said, no problem. Don't worry. I'm just, just didn't like being chucked against the wall.

That's all. The second one said, well, I quite enjoyed it, but still it's a little bit of a liberty. And he said, I'm sorry, ladies, you know, and they were quite happy to be called ladies because usually fish women, it didn't quite hit the mark.

It didn't quite being called fish women didn't really, it didn't feel too glamorous and it wasn't derogatory. It was just literal, a literal term. Anyway, the munchkin Elvis carried on walking.

He sees another mermaid. Now he picks her up by the legs, about to chuck her in and a pirate turns up because it's a, it's a movie about pirates, treasure Island and that. And he says, what are you doing there? And Elvis says, just about to chuck her back into the water.

And he said, why, why, why are you chucking her into the water? And he's look, if you look up and down here, it is thousands of mermaids, stranded, washed up. He said, yeah, well, what's the point in chucking one into the water? What difference is that going to make? And he said, was going to, Elvis said to, he looked at him in the eyes, he tugged onto his moustache and he said, look, it's going to make a difference to that one mermaid.

I might not be able to save all the mermaids, but if I can save one, then that's worth it, isn't it? And I've helped three already today.

And with that, he picked up the mermaid and chucked her against the wall. Chucked her, she's, this one's stuck. Um, and it was, do you remember those, uh, octopuses that you could chuck against the wall and they would stick and then like fall down.

It was kind of like that. It was weird. Um, so yeah, that, that's the moral of the story, which is kind of what I was trying to get to is, although I might only have three people listening to my podcasts, I can, if I can help like one or two people along the way, then it's worth it, isn't it? Some would say, well, why are you wasting your life doing this?

And, um, I'd get a little bit upset probably, but it's, I mean, I only hear that from family, so it's fine.

It's like, well, maybe it isn't a waste. Maybe, maybe I can make a little bit of a difference. So I think of you all as mermaids sitting on a, a beach made of gravel on a film set from 1939 for some kind of treasure Island.

And the sea is just scenery. And I am a munchkin called Elvis. That, that's, that's kind of where I was going.

Yeah. From with this and it all came together. Like it was quite perfect.

Wasn't it came together really well. I'm almost pleased with myself. Yeah.

Great. So I hope that was useful. Um, I mean, part of what I do is about educating, educating and changing the world, uh, one step at a time if I can.

And I hope that I've been, you know, this lecture has been worthy and that it's, it's really helped the people listening and helped you to, to gain something beneficial and life affirming. So I'm going to, I'm going to leave. I'm going to go now.

Thank you for listening. Remember to be kind to yourself because you deserve to be happy, be gentle with yourself. And I will speak to you again tomorrow.

Lots of love. Bye. What on earth was that? What are, what?
