Oh, hello. What's up Vinnie? Okay, well there you go. You sure you want it? You sure you want it? There you go.
Hello and welcome to Vinnie licking and drinking some water. Oh yeah, this is... I can't believe how much noise he makes. This is Let Me Bore You To Sleep with Jason Newland, the Sandman.
You know, people used to call me that years ago because I've been doing this forever and ever and ever and back in probably, I don't know, seven, eight years ago when I was or 10 years ago when I was a bit more prominent on YouTube. Some people gave me the nickname of the Sandman and I never really understood what it was. I thought I'm not made of sand.
The only Sandman I knew was the Sandman from the Spider-Man movie. You know, the man that was made of sand. But yeah, apparently Sandman is the god or the king of sleep.
Quite a good name for me really. Not the god, I don't really want to be a god of anything or a king of anything but the master. I think the master sleep instead of all these years being called Master Bates.
So please only listen when you can safely close your eyes. And my website is one of the best websites in the world. jasonnewland.com. It really is a treat.
Wow. Wow. I mean, sometimes I just have to go on there myself just to have a look.
And I'm astonished at what I see. It is amazing. Truly, truly, truly, truly.
It's all right. So Vinnie's chomping on his bone. It's not a euphemism.
He really is playing with his that he's eating his thing. So into the pet shop today. Got some new food didn't like it.
I don't know what is just he's so fussy. But he's got lice or fleas at the moment, which he's getting from playing in the long grass. I keep him away from the long grass in in the park, right? I don't know why some kind of environmental thing.
They leave. And you might have this where you live. They leave the council or the people that cut the grass leave parts of the park long.
Hasn't been cut for maybe a year. In or apparently it's good for the soil or good for the rest of the grass. I'm not quite sure what the reasoning behind it is.
I do know that dogs love going into it. And it's full of all kinds of bugs. Now I gave him some flea juice.
About three weeks ago. Or two, two and a half weeks ago, something like that. Because I gave it to his friend, the other dog as well who's disappeared.
So I don't know. He's been gone for two weeks, over two weeks. So I thought that did the trick, but it doesn't seem to have done.
So what I've gone is I've gone and got him a tablet and put it in with the new food. So he's got the tablet. And then he came back.
We didn't come. They didn't go anywhere, but we went out for a walk and. He was really getting flustered by them.
And I picked him up and I gave him a brush through. And he was a lot of morning. More than I'd seen before.
And he had been running in the grass again with his one of his doggy friends. Man, it's like they're waiting in the grass just to jump onto him. So I put him in the bath and I give him a shower down.
Just to try and get rid of as many of them as possible. Hopefully the tablet that I got him. Well, he's supposed to start working within four hours.
He's also got a flea collar, which he wears all the time. And I know I've got to sort out the carpet as well. But, you know, I've got nothing on me.
I'm just a normal amount of fleas, but nothing out of the usual, you know, nothing more than usual. And I'm not covered. I only got if I look at my arm, I can only see maybe seven, eight.
It's grim, isn't it? It's grim. But, you know, they're not jumping around. And I've been in a place of fleas before.
Andre had fleas and you see him jump. They're just like, they're everywhere. They're not like that here.
So. He's hopefully he's OK now. The next thing to do is maybe I've got some flea bomb things, which I can detonate inside the building and it fumigates each room.
And then it works because I've done it before. The problem is I can't go into the room for a few hours, so I'll have to kind of. And it was easier with Andre because I put him in his cage and I put him into the storage room and he was out of the way.
But with Vinnie, he doesn't like being put into a room. And I'll have to, I don't know, it's I'll find a way to do it. But I will sort it out by the end of this week.
That's my plan. What's the plan? So really, today, today, today, today, today, today, I wanted to say a big thank you to everybody that wished me a happy birthday. Before I do that, let's just go and have a look at what YouTube's doing.
So I've got 1039 subscribers. I'm keeping you updated. I'm just letting you know it took me like 100 years to get to 1000 subscribers.
So to get the extra 39 has come pretty quick. Yeah, I realize I'm not quite. I'm not quite at the top of the YouTube tree right now.
But it's, it's growing slowly. I mean, with with the algorithms and everything, it just has to pick up. They kind of YouTube is not promoting my stuff at the moment.
But once they do. And it could really grow quite quickly. And it's the same stuff as I've got on my face on my podcasts.
It's just video versions of the podcasts. And so, you know, I've got a mixture of normal recordings with music, plus 10 hour versions. And a few of them are, you know, they're getting a little bit traction.
Traction is that the right word? So I'm not, you know, I'm not too bothered. I'm not, it's not really a big deal. You know, I'm interested.
I am, you know, I am bothered in the sense of not bothered. That's not the right word. Interested, because, you know, this is what I do.
And I put a lot of effort into it. Making videos is a lot of time consuming. It's fairly expensive as well to do it.
But it's interesting to see how it's growing. And, you know, it would be nice just to see once I reach the. I think once I get to like maybe 10,000 subscribers, then I'll have a more.
I feel like I'm accomplishing a bit, a little bit more on YouTube. But by then I'll be about 95 years old. Oh, yeah.
Hello. Welcome to let me. Imagine when I'm 95.
I'll still be doing this. I'm going to do this forever. See, I ain't going nowhere.
Apart from when I do go somewhere, then I'll be gone. But other than that, apart from when I do go, I will be here. If that makes sense.
I'm sticking with this now. I mean, in what is it now? September, nearly 27th of August. I don't know how many days are in this month.
31. So we've got one, two, three, four more days. And then September, October, November, December.
It's four more months. And then it's January. I can't believe I'm obviously it's January.
18 years it'll be since I started doing making recordings and doing this stuff. 18 years. I was 35 years old.
I'm now 72. I mean, it's amazing, isn't it? Amazing. I mean, I just turned 53.
So I was 35. It's like, wow. 18 years.
Or was it already 18? I don't know. 18 years? Yeah. 2024, 2006, 2024.
That's 18 years in total. But then if you go back even further. I started studying hypnosis in 1998, January.
It's weird. Something about January. It's the beginning of the year.
I love the beginning of the year. Something about new starts. I don't know.
I just like it. Always have done. I think New Year's Eve is one of my favorite nights of the year.
Because it's the time for contemplation, maybe. And just winding things down and maybe thinking about the year ahead. Thinking about the year previous that's gone by.
Maybe wondering where my house keys have gone. You know, it could be anything. Who knows? But I just, I like that.
I like January. I like January for some reason. I know a lot of some people don't like that time of the year.
Because it depends where you live. But it can be quite chilled and quite dark and everything. But I like it.
It fits with my soul. Cold and dark. My inner self is me.
Very cold and dark human. I don't know. I mean, the air is fresh in January.
Not when it's like freezing cold. I'm not so into that. But I mean, last year, it snowed in December.
Now all the snow is gone before Christmas. I remember, yeah, I got Finny something like the 11th of December. Let's have a look.
See if the 11th of December was a Saturday. Oops. Damn you.
What are you doing? 11th of December. Sad. Oh, no, wait a minute.
August, July. So let's say 11th of December was a Sunday. So 10th of December.
I think I got Vinnie the 10th of December. The reason for that is because I remember I was supposed to go to my dad's. But I was unwell or something.
I can't remember. I think I was not very well. And so I stayed at home.
And then my friend knocked on the door in the late afternoon. And not only did his dog run in, which was normal. But this tiny little thing that I couldn't even see because it was running so fast, ran in ahead.
In fact, it was actually kind of underneath the big dog. It ran underneath him. I couldn't, what the heck's that? For a second, I thought maybe he got a ferret, another ferret.
And basically looking for a home for him. On behalf of someone else. And me and my silly mouth said, oh, I'll have him.
I didn't even think it through. Just like, yeah, I'll take him. Because I don't know why.
I don't really don't know why. It was not the probably the cleverest thing I've ever done. But anyway, so got him on a Saturday.
Had him all of the following week. So I started taking him out. I think he started snowing on the Sunday or the Monday, probably the Sunday.
The 11th, maybe the Monday, the 12th of December. And it proper snowed like proper, not just a little bit. And it settled because it was so cold.
So cold, it settled and it didn't melt. But I wore my boots, not well easily. I've got some quite nice, got some hiking boots I've had for a few years.
And I really, really wear them. But on this occasion, they just was perfect. And I walked around with him.
All around, including around the field. All through the week. Now, this story is not completely true.
I mean, I don't mean not true, but it might not be completely accurate from the dates. But as far as I'm aware, it might be snowed later in that week. But basically what happened.
And I could look into I could look back. I could look back at the year because I would have a recording about what happened. So on one day, I fell down.
I fell over in the snow in the field. And I thought, wow, this snow basically cushioned my fall. I didn't even get a bruise.
It's amazing. And I thought, wow, this is good. Not good, but it was, you know, it was, I was not brilliant.
I fell over. I don't mean that was good. But the fact that I didn't hurt myself was nice.
You know, it was a relief. Because I've fallen over a few times in the past and had a few injuries. And it was nice to not have that.
I fell out of the bath and broke my wrist when I first moved in there. This is true. I'd only been in there for about a week.
And I wasn't in the bath for a week. I mean, living here. So then, on the day that the snow melted, it rained and pretty much every trace of snow was gone.
And my friend knocks on my door, do you want to take the dogs outside for a play? Because I like to play outside. I said, yeah, OK. I was ready to go to bed.
So I wasn't thinking straight. It was, you know, I need to plan things, really, rather than rushing around. So I was rushing around.
I didn't put my shoes on. I did put my coat on because it was freezing cold outside. And I slipped down the stairs and I fractured my back in two places.
Ended up in A&E, emergency ward. And so I spent Christmas with a fractured back. It was literally the week before Christmas.
And that was kind of a weird start to the year, really. Because it was so strange because I'm struggling, really, really struggling to bend over and pick up his poo. And I remember the first time I was able to do it without any pain.
And I was almost joyful and like saying, yeah, brilliant. And got a few funny looks from the other dog walkers, because I guess I don't normally see people picking up poo and celebrating. But it was nice to be able to do it without being in an ouch, having an ouchy thing in my back.
Yeah, I wonder, that's just going to bug me now. I'm going to have a look. I'll get rid of that.
Go away, go away, go away. OK, right. So what would that, where would that be? December, December 2022.
Let's see what comes up when I put that in to the podcast. I mean, these days, I don't actually put the date on it, but the date on it is when I upload it. So the date is there.
But I don't generally put the date on the actual podcast. Wonder what I am. 20th of December.
Let me boys, 30th of December. Mini me. Star Wars, 6th of December.
4th of December. Meet Vinnie. Wow, it was the 4th of December.
See, isn't it weird? I told you I was lying, but I didn't know if I was lying. But it turns out I am. I was lying.
I got him on the 4th of December. Unless it wasn't the 4th of December. I mean, it was, you know, I don't mean it would have been that or before.
Let me have a look. I know it's definitely a Saturday, but then you're not going to believe me now, are you? Because I lied. So I must have got him on the 3rd of December, a Saturday.
4th was the Sunday. Blimey. Wow.
So I thought I did my back the last week before Christmas. Clearly not. Ouch.
Yeah, that'll be it. 24th of December. So I'd had him for 21 days.
Before I actually went 24, because that would have been. Let's have a look. I think it was a Tuesday.
So let's have a look back. Blimey, it's like having a diary. I think that's quite cool, actually.
23rd. I thought it was a Tuesday. Maybe it's a Wednesday or Thursday.
So it's either the 21st or the 22nd. Of December. And 393, 39, 939, 938, 938, 937.
Last Xmas. 938, 939 is ouch. 24th of December.
938, 936. Stop eating my shoes. 93, this is like a diary.
937, 938. I've lived here nearly eight years. So yeah, that was 18th of December.
So I didn't do anything between the 18th of December and the 24th of December. As far as making podcasts. It's not very good, is it? And maybe.
Maybe that's why. Maybe I'd hurt my back a week or so earlier. It was why I hadn't made any podcasts.
That could be the reason. So anyway, it was in December. After the 4th.
Before the 24th. That I fractured my back, fallen down the stairs. I'd actually have to listen, re-listen to that recording.
To, because, you know, mind you, who's going to trust me? I can't trust myself. But it's number 939. Let Me Bore You To Sleep.
24th of December called ouch. And there's a picture of me. It's quite a good picture actually of in my little robe, my x-ray robe.
And I was, I'd spent, I'd already been in the hospital for about 10 hours at this point. And the, so I went upstairs or went to the x-ray place to do a CAT scan. And they gave me the robe to get into.
It took a while to, because I was obviously in there a bit of pain. And I thought, oh, this has got to be, this is an opportunity to take a picture for my podcast. So I came out and I asked someone to take a picture of me.
So I'm posing with this x-ray dressing gown thing on. And there's two, there's one in the front and another one to cover up my bum. Because, you know, otherwise, well, it's not fair on everyone, is it? And some people were looking at me like, why am I messing around and, you know, being cheerful when I was telling people I think I've fractured back.
Like, yeah. But what they don't understand, and this is a weird thing to say, it's probably weird. It's not going to be necessarily weird for some people that understand what I'm saying is.
Due to my mood disorder, bipolar and stuff. Sometimes when I've had an injury, it puts me in a good mood. It's like, because I'm so distracted by the physical pain that I'm not focusing on the other stuff.
Now, obviously, it's only an accident. It's like when I broke my wrist, when I broke my hand, when I broke my ribs, when I broke my, fractured my back. All those times, I almost had a sense of humour.
Not a sense, but about thing, like, it's almost like it was funny. And it's weird. It's a weird thing, really.
But, you know, it's not always the case. But just sometimes in those situations, for me personally, that seems to be the case. And maybe I go a little bit manic or maybe the endorphins are rushing to my brain to compensate.
Who knows? Who knows? Maybe I'm just crazy, a bit crazy. But that was a weird ending to the year and quite a strange start to the year as well. Because, yeah, I started the year in, I was walking around very slowly, like proper, proper slowly.
Anyway, so we've got that covered. I wanted to really look at, so I'll get rid of those. I wanted to thank individual people for the birthday wishes that you gave me.
So that's kind of what I wanted to do today. Today. And okay, notifications on Twitter.
Florencia Embrenda started following me. I mean, that's nice. So I don't know.
I don't know. Hello, if you're listening. Nice to meet you.
She's following 69 people and got one follower. So I don't really know much about her and she might be one of my listeners. If you are welcome.
I'm on Twitter, by the way. A lot of people may not know that because I've never mentioned it ever. I just don't.
I don't know why. But I've done 3540 posts. And I've been on Twitter since April 2009.
You believe it? That's quite a while, isn't it? 2009. So what's that? 14 years? Blimey. So I've got 649 followers, but I never tell anyone I'm on Twitter.
I don't know why. I'm not verified. And if I can get verified, but I'll pay for it.
So I'm not going to bother that. So I'll get rid of that. Facebook.
I have. I've had a few messages on Facebook. Okay.
What have I had? Roy, my wife, Elizabeth, and I wish you a happy birthday. So thank you, Roy. So that was on Facebook.
That's very kind of you. And William says, happy birthday, Jason. Still enjoying the podcasts.
That was today, I think. Thank you. Thank you, William.
I have responded to these. And Brooke, my friend Brooke. And Jason, happy birthday.
What a glorious miracle that you were born. I love you forever. And I said, I agree.
I am a miracle. I am amazing. The world is a much better place.
I didn't. I said, love you too, because Brooke is amazing. She's a very, very lovely person.
So thank you, Brooke. Kim said, happy birthday, Jason. Thank you very much, Kim.
So I appreciate that. And that is on the my Jason Newland Facebook page. So I do, I post things on there.
And so I've got a few people posted stuff on there. So eight comments on there. Let's have a look.
Alex says, happy birthday to you. So thank you very much, Alex. William, happy birthday.
Thank you very much. Joan says, happy birthday, Jason. Thank you very much.
I bet I reply to that on here as well. Because I get to lose it. I lose track of who I said thank you to.
And also, yeah. Kim, happy birthday, Jason. Thank you, Kim.
And me, me says, happy birthday. Thank you, me. So I'm just going to do thank you.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you very much. Thank you. So I didn't have my, in the past, I have had my date of birth available for people to, or at least the, you know, the date rather than the year, but the date.
So people can see it. The amount of times over the years that I've opened up my page on Facebook, I just had so many birthday wishes. It's like, wow, huge amounts.
And then just, I can't keep up with them. Now, I had that blocked. I've unblocked it now, but I had it, because I looked and thought, no one's wishing me happy birthday on, but they had on Facebook, but not on that particular page.
Oh, that's not, I don't feel loved anymore. So, but that's, that's not the re, well, yeah, I changed it, but I'll post you something telling everyone it's my birthday, because that's the best way to let people know, isn't it? Probably a bit sad, but hey, Kim, happy birthday, Jason. Thank you, Kim.
Reply. Thank you very much. Thank you all very much.
And me, oh, she said another thing, happy birthday. So I'll reply to that. Like, thank you.
Thank you. And then Tammy, happy birthday. Thanks, Tammy.
Reply. Thank you very much. Very much.
And then Mary, happy birthday to you. Thank you, Mary. It's very kind of you.
Like, reply. Thank you. Right.
So that's, that's everyone. So that's done there. Because I did a Let Me Bore You To Sleep yesterday.
And birthday boy says 1037. Can you believe? Do you remember when I was at like 800? And I was talking about, oh, if I get to 1000, I should maybe do something special. And I didn't do anything special, did I? But now I was getting to 1000.
And I think I'll probably, was it? I don't even remember when it was. But I was starting to think, oh, when I get to 1000, you know, it'll be amazing. And then when did I get to 1000? Let's have a look.
4th of May. That was my 1000th episode. Now I'm on 37.
I've done 37 more recordings, which isn't really a lot over that time, really, to be honest. But you know, never mind. I'm not going to take responsibility for that.
It was not my fault. Oh, okay. Let me have a look.
Someone tagged me in a post. What post have you tagged me in? Comment in your video. Jenny, Shannon, comment in your video.
Jason, Rose, and Rebecca. Let's have a look. I want to just quickly, okay, I'm going to go to Jason's Boring Group, because that's Jason Newland's Boring Group is my private Facebook page, my private Facebook group.
Molly's the boss, she's in charge of the group. And I, it's just, it's an opportunity to it for people just to tell me how wonderful I am. And this is an opportunity, you can get to know other people that also enjoy being bored by me.
And so far, there's 119 members. You can search for it on Facebook, Jason Newland's Boring Group, or if you go to my website, jasonnewland.com, there's a link, click on it, and it'll take you there. And just ask to join and be cool.
And you can join. And there's pretty much no benefit to doing it, I guess. Not really selling it, am I? So here's the messages I've got from on my group.
Happy belated birthday, Jason Newland. That's from Ruth. Thank you.
Thank you, Ruth. Like, okay. Thank you.
And the next one is from Heather. Happy birthday, Jason. Hope you're having a smashing day.
So I've only said thank you on there. Thank you. Thank you there, Heather.
And Lucy has said happy birthday. Thank you very much, Lucy. So I will reply on that.
Yeah, where is it? Thank you. Thank you. And then Jamie, happy birthday, Jason.
Thank you very much, Jamie. That's very kind of you. I just wrote my name.
That's not what I wanted to do. Thank you. Anne has written happy birthday.
Thank you for putting me to sleep every night. This is Anne or Anne Tom. Anne Tom.
Sorry if I got it wrong. I never know because there's a dash between it. I don't know.
I used to know someone called, not, I was going to say Sue Anne. But that was Dallas. No, Sue Ellen.
That was Dallas. What was her name? Sarah Jane. And I never called her Sarah Jane.
I called her Sarah. Because it just was too much to remember. Anne.
So after, anyway, thank you very much, Anne. That's very kind of you. So I say thank you.
Right. Tammy, happy birthday, Jason. So there's a picture of me on there.
Thank you very much. It's very kind of you. With my long neck.
Thank you. And also, Tammy, thank you for your gifts recently. Yes, you're very kind.
And also there's a pic, there's a thing from Stephen. Happy hatching day. Enjoy it to the max.
Thank you very much. So I say thank you. For a second there, I thought, do you remember Facebook like years and years and years and years ago, where people used to be part of like egg collecting, hatchling groups or something like that.
And because I was starting out, I'm talking over a decade ago, I'm talking like, you know, 2007, when Facebook, or was it 2008? When? No, 2006, 2007, when Facebook became prominent, and I joined. And I joined every group and added people like this. Nilly, Minnie, Minnie, Willie, just added people.
I went through the pain relief groups first or the pain groups to try and get people that would maybe benefit from my recordings, and my videos, and went through, you know, different groups for like insomnia and, you know, anxiety and stress. Oh, just did a burp. And then I started looking at other groups like knitting groups and just anything, anything where I could just add people.
And that's that's how I kind of grew, tried to grow things. And that's reminded me the hatchlings I think they were called. So thank you very much.
That's thank you, Stephen. I did a little video yesterday as well. Thank you, everyone.
So I kind of already have did a little live video. And also got a message from Cara. Happy birthday, Jason, go out and make some funny memories.
So you can make stories to make us laugh like you do so well. Hope it was a great day so far. Well, thank you very much.
And so I said thank you already there. I don't remember. Did I do my recording before or after I saw my dad? I can't remember.
Oh, so I did. He was just barking. But it's okay.
Good boy. And that threw me off. So I edit the box out because I don't think it's particularly conducive to relaxation.
Maybe, just maybe and I've just deleted everything from from what I was looking at. For some reason, I managed to delete all the stuff I was looking at. Don't know how I did it.
Oh, man, every time I open Facebook, I have to try and avoid the main page, where there's all these absolutely just the pages are just beyond. I don't know why they're there. It's Facebook didn't used to be like this.
I'm sure it didn't. Sungazing, Dr. Sarcasm, Amazing Babies, and what is it? You've got Dr. Sarcasm, another one, Silly Hippie, Playful Cat Pals, Free Samples, Noel Colby, Silly Hippie, and it's all I just all these Hood News TV suggestion to me, okay. Starkey, Sturkey, Critter Clippers, Love Dogs, Jesus Love, Amazing Babies.
Now, I haven't enrolled or liked any of these for them to be Wonder Vogel. Why are they I have to try and skip and try and get to my own profile as quickly as possible because I can't stand them. Those things just I don't know what it is.
Well, Jenny has wished me happy birthday on my Jason New and Hypnotist page. So this is a different page to the other one. So I have to say thank you there.
Thank you, Jenny. So like, thank you. Thank you.
Thank you. Yeah. And right, I said I didn't get it's kind of weird, I get very, very little response of anything that I put onto this page, which is weird considering I've got 27,000 likes and 26,000 followers.
And pretty much nobody looks at stuff on the page or reacts, pretty much very little likes, very little anything. I'm not sure why. I don't know why.
So let's see any more for any more. What about let me boil asleep? Has that got anything on there? That's another Facebook page. I don't really go on there.
I do post stuff on there but I've got 174 likes and 179 followers. And again, I don't get really anything. Any, any, no, nothing.
Melt. What's the other page I've got? Jason Newland, Hypnotist, but that's all one word. So 30 likes, 31 followers.
And yeah, no one, I guess, ever visits that page. So the two pages really, Jason Newland, which is my page that I've had forever. I've had that one since, I wonder if it says how long I've been there.
I joined August 2008. So I did used to have a Facebook page before that. So I must have deleted it.
Knowing me I would have done deleted a few, a few times over the years. But this one I've stuck with it since 2008. 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, so that's nearly 16 years, isn't it? No, August 2008, so 17 years.
Not 17 years, 15 years. Blimey. I've got another message here.
Jason Newland, Hypnotist commented on the post that you're following Jason. No, I'm the one that did it. It is me.
And that's it. That's all the comments. I'm sure I had another message from somebody.
All right, Jodie says, hope you had a lovely birthday. And so that's thank you very much. She wrote me a little song, but I won't read it to you.
But thank you, Jodie. Becky says, happy blessed birthday. Thank you, Becky.

Thank you. Oh, these are these are messages through Facebook. And Tonya, have a happy birthday.

I wish you all the best for your special day. May it be a wonderful day. GBU.
Thank you. I don't know what GBU means, but thank you very much. GBU.
Go buggy yourself. I don't know. Go.
Good. Good boy. Yodel.
You, good you. Not why. Anyway, thank you.
That's very kind of you. And. Mary, happy birthday.
Thank you very much. I think I might have already done that one. John Leo.
John, John, John. Hi, JC. How are you doing today? And how's the people out there with you? JC.
I don't know, John, do I know you? Not many people call me. I don't think anyone's ever called me JC. I had a few people call me Jace, or Jay.
They're usually people that know me. I don't think I've been called JC. I quite like that.
I think I'm going to start answering to the word, the name JC. JC from now on. So that was that was all the messages.
So thank you very much, everybody, for your birthday wishes. And. Very, very, very, very, very kind.
They're very, very kind. Thank you. There was another message that I got.
I can't find it. Don't know where it is. Unless.
I don't know. And I've got a few comments on YouTube. The muffled whispers were great.
Keep it up, man. That was soggy cat food. So thank you.
Will do. So reply to that reply. So I'll try and reply to the YouTube messages.
The middle Marxist love your content came up, came over you, came upon your channel by Adini. Rest his soul. Take care.
That's for my power cuts. Let Me Bore You To Sleep. Thank you.
That's very kind. I appreciate that. Love it.
It came up on your channel. Thanks for coming. And.
Sarah Salsa two four six one really enjoyed this. Your voice is really relaxing, too. And remember a relaxing time for that one.
So that case, I'm glad you enjoyed it. So that was thank you very much. That was lovely.
And the very last one now. It was 20 hours ago. Fifty four fifty.
That's the time that they were giving me. I don't know. It's difficult.
I've had a few long distance online girlfriends lately, and they'd like to talk to me during all the free time we shared, which is a lot. You can run out of things to talk about. Then it's easy to feel that they think you're bored with them when it's just the situation.
This is on a video that I posted. Vinnie thinks he's the boss. Let Me Bore You To Sleep.
So this is in the past. I don't know what I said on that podcast. I never know.
I never know. Because I don't even know what I said during this podcast. Just doing this recording.
I don't know. I don't keep track of. I genuinely do not keep track of what's being said.
And because. It's just a bunch of words in it kind of. As far as long distance relationships go.
I kind of had a couple over the years. But it's kind of hard to maintain. So go to the mountain to maintain the relationship.
I don't know. I'm not sure. I mean.
I think there's a few people that I've spoken to or that texted me or messaged me that. Perhaps if I was closer. Maybe.
I don't know. Maybe there's some people listening would want to meet me or would like to. You know.
Fern in love. Fern in deep love. I mean, I don't know.
It's the way of knowing, isn't it? But. Who knows? I don't know. No one tells me.
No one says it. I just imagine that there's loads in my little imagination. Everybody loves me.
They love me. They really love me. But yeah, I don't know.
One thing I am pleased about just regarding people generally listeners. Is. For years and years and years.
I know I'm just repeating what I've already said in the past. But that's bound to happen after 1000 recordings. Is.
For years and years and years and years. I really, really wanted to reach a more well, reach more people in my own country. It was one of those things.
It's like. Because there was a time when 80% was American, 80% of the USA, which I was grateful for people in America listening. So, you know, I'm not moaning about the percentage.
I was I was very pleased. But what's happened is over time, the amount of people has gone up. So it hasn't gone down.
But the percentage ratio has changed. So if this will actually let me do it. It should tell me.
That's the geolocation. So now I get about about 50, 50% United States. Out of all my podcasts, about 50%.
Roughly, I mean, if I go that's the last 30 days, like I last 12 months, 46%, 46.47%. So the last 12 months 1.873 million. So United United Kingdom is 24%. Which is pretty good, isn't it? You know, because that's I wanted it to grow.
I wanted it's not that I wanted. I don't want not everyone in England, like, I don't want to take away the numbers from other countries, just, just the percentage. And like, it's nice to know that people in my own country are listening.
Because there was a time when it seemed to be mainly United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and other countries. And as I said, I was grateful. I still am grateful for anyone that listens.
It's apart from Belgium. I don't know, I say that I'm joking. I love Belgium.
I don't know why this is blimey. I still know this thing that I have to say that for some reason. Mind you Belgium's not on the list.
Oh, yeah, it's on the list. I've had 7000 listens on from Belgium this year. So someone's listening.
And you know what, if you are listening from Belgium, I love you. And I love your country. Because I really I'm not a fan of hills.
And it's just nice to be able to, you know, if you like, oh, I wonder what's if you're going somewhere and you want to know, let's say you meet someone at a coffee shop, and you're walking towards a coffee shop, but maybe you might be like a two miles away. And you've forgotten your phone. And you're thinking, oh, no, they might be there.
Phoning me wondering where I am, and I'm running late. But if you're in Belgium, you can just get your binoculars out or your telescope. And you can just look and you can see because there's no hills.
It's just straight in it. Of course, if you if you if you have to be careful, because if you miss all the buildings all together, you end up just seeing the back of yourself. Because it's that flat.
But it's good. I think Belgium is brilliant. Bearing in mind, it was the first place I ever went abroad.
You know, it holds a special place in my heart. But I like to make fun of things, you know, just have this is me, just me. You know, I make when I made fun of Bulgaria when I got back.
And everywhere I've been, I make fun of the place. I'm not being rude. I'm just having a laugh.
Because funny things happen funny, you know. And yeah, it's an unusual situation. Everyone's got their own weird things.
Yeah, I'm not saying anymore. I'm just saying it's strange. Everything everywhere is strange.
I'm sure it's the same for people coming to this country. It must be mind blowing, just to sort of be here among us. And it's like a different world.
You know, for me, it's just everyday stuff. But someone coming from another country is probably just as weird, or let's say not weird, but just as unusual as me going to Thailand, or me going to Bulgaria, somewhere where it's very, very different. Every country, I guess, is fairly different.
I've not been to many countries, really, but I kind of like to. But at the same time, I don't want to slum it. You know, if I did get a chance to travel properly, I'd quite like to travel in style.
I've never done that before. So I like the idea maybe of just traveling nicely, you know. I don't mean private jets or anything like that.
But just a little bit of comfort, just a little bit of comfort, that'd be nice. A hotel room that is not a strange door connecting it to another room. You know, just something like that, just a bathroom without cameras, you know, just a nice hotel, somewhere that I can go to the toilet without being on the internet.
It's just not me, you know. But you're thinking, what kind of hotels have you been in? Go online and you'll see. I'm everywhere.
Portugal. I know he's like, he's talking about stats again. But yeah, it does amaze me still that people are listening to me ever, you know.
I'm amazed that even one person listens to me. Can't really get my head around it. I mean, especially to these recordings.
I kind of understand why someone would listen to maybe a pain relief session, because that's, it's got a very clear purpose in the sense of, listen to this, follow, maybe follow what I'm saying, although what I do is fairly vague a lot of the time. But, you know, follow what I'm saying or the ideas and, you know, check how you feel before you start listening. And see how you feel at the end of the recording.
And if it's helped, then good. And the worst case scenario is you feel more relaxed. That's it.
That's the worst that can happen is you feel more relaxed. With the relaxation sessions, again, same kind of thing, you know, is even if you, if someone's listening to fall asleep, the worst scenario is they just feel more relaxed. Which is still a benefit.
And if someone's actually tired, like really tired, and they relax, then the chances, the odds then of falling asleep are quite high. Because I think one of the secrets to, and I'm not sure if the general population realize this or not, I'm not even sure if it's in any books, but probably is. I don't think it's my, my invention at all.
But the simple fact from my experience is this. It's a good idea to write things down before making a podcast. So you can remember what you're going to say.
Otherwise, you might forget, especially just as you're about to say something really important. And it might just go out of your head. So yeah, that's that's the that's that bit of information.
Keep notes. No, I'm kidding. You can't force, you feel I'm being serious now, don't you? You think I really had forgotten.
I didn't, of course I didn't forget. You, the more you try, the more, not you, but the more someone tries to fall asleep, the less likely they're going to fall asleep. You can't, it's not something you can try to do.
You can't try and relax. You can relax. You can do exercises to relax.
You can do exercises to fall asleep. You can do techniques. So you could say, well, that is trying.
What I mean by trying is. If you just lie there. That that I don't think that's really ever worked on anyone.
And, you know, it's generally not a good, a good technique to use. When you stop caring. When you lie in bed, just enjoying feeling relaxed and you really couldn't care if you fall asleep or not.
You'll fall asleep. It's kind of, it's like, I guess it's ironic. I don't know if, don't you think it's like the kind of period time I say ironic.
And it's a weird one. You can't force yourself to feel hungry. Not really.
I mean, you can, I guess if you're not hungry, maybe you can smell some food and maybe you can get your juices dripping or whatever. I don't know. So that you get a bit of an appetite.
But perhaps get you nice and wet for some food. I don't know how it works. But a nice sausage or I don't know, chips, burgers, whatever it is.
But totally the whole, I don't know. But you, you can't force yourself to feel relaxed. You can't force yourself to really feel anything.
You know, it's kind of, it's got to be natural. And when it's natural, it's easy. That's why when I do, when I do, do recordings for pain, chronic pain relief.
It's kind of, especially these days, these days, it's very vague what I'm talking about. Sometimes it doesn't even seem like what I'm doing has anything to do with the pain. The topic sometimes, you know, with the let me bore your pain away podcasts.
But the bottom line for me, the bottom line is. Does it work? Is it useful? If it isn't, just move on. The worst thing that happened, the worst you're going to get, the worst thing that's going to happen is you're going to feel more relaxed.
That's it. Because you'll be so bored. Your mind will slow down.
You know, that inner chatter will just start to just quieten. Because, you know, even if you're thinking, and even someone's there getting annoyed of what I'm saying, they're focusing on my voice, not focusing on their own stuff. And that takes you into a sense of calmness, which can be useful.
And I discovered many, many eons ago that one of the biggest, biggest causes for reducing chronic pain in people, and this is when I was seeing people face to face in the same room as them. Relaxation reduces the physical discomfort that they were feeling every single time. Everybody, every single person I saw, at least that's what they told me.
So, of course, there might be one or two that lied, but why would they? I wouldn't lie. Actually, I thought I might lie. I do quite like lying, and it's one of my favorite things.
But then you don't know if I'm telling the truth or not, do you? How can you tell, how can you trust me? It's like I keep lying about if I'm lying, or am I lying about lying? Oh, man, I just don't know what to do next. Relaxation, I think it's very powerful. Calm in your mind, open up, it opens up our minds to options and possibilities that maybe you hadn't thought about before, that were maybe something really positive that can change your life that you, you hadn't considered.
It was possible and considered that, and it might be something very small, like a small change that could actually have a large positive transformation to your life, which is phenomenal, really. And there's something about some of that stuff can just happen automatically. Without any kind of coaxing or suggestions or anything.
It's been in that state that that zone of comfort, where positivity is more prevalent. Because I think maybe in the conscious state, we I mean, I think it's scientifically proven human beings are more prone to negativity in our conscious state, when we're awake and around society, because things can be quite difficult. And we, we have to work sometimes, the average person has to work at staying positive.
Some people find it easier than others. I have to work at it. I'll be honest, I do.
I work at it and I do put quite a bit of effort into it. And I have done for since 1998, 97. It's clearly not working very well, is it?
But when you're relaxed, you're closer to your, I would say your true self, not the personality that we've developed out of necessity in order to cope and to fit in with society, all that stuff, you know, taking on traits from our parents and maybe from friends and family, maybe from even celebrities that we like, you know, wanting to be like them a little bit, and just taking on little traits of different people, maybe your local area or the country you're in, or you know, belief systems, all that stuff.
But then when you're relaxed, and you're calm, none of that stuff, in fact, pretty much nothing really matters. It's not that the things that are important become unimportant. Of course, it's still going to be important when you finish.
So you know, and if you've got a job to do, I don't know, you know, you've got something going on in your life, that will still be there when you come back from being relaxed. But during the process of relaxing, that stuff just drifts away. And it's unimportant.
Everything's unimportant. It's just nothing needs to matter when you're completely relaxed and peaceful. And I liken it to maybe every time you relax, you kind of get a little bit deeper in the water, you know, nice, shallow water, but you kind of get a little bit more into it.
A little bit more of the water covers your body. So when you get out and you go back into your normal life, and you bring some of that comfort and relaxation with you, which helps you in ways that maybe you don't even realize, maybe you'll never realize. Maybe you don't need to know.
Yet you might feel and notice and experience just a sense, you know, like a sense that something's changed and things are changing for the better. And you feel more positive, maybe more optimistic for the future, more grateful for what you do have, focusing on what you do have, instead of what you don't have, focusing on the future instead of the past. You know, just, I think it's very subtle.
And that's what I've tried to kind of aim. And so I know, I guess I've been a bit serious in this recording. Maybe it's because I'm old now, see, two days ago, I was only 52.
Now I'm 53. I'm an adult. I've gone through puberty.
I'm now a responsible person. So everything from now on will be serious. No more jokes, no more silliness.
No, you're lucky. Don't worry. That ain't never gonna happen.
Maybe occasionally, but not for any length. Talking of length. No, I won't.
So that's it really, I'm gonna go. But yeah, that's that's kind of part of why I wanted to do years and years before I even started doing my podcasts, is the idea of being able to talk and make a difference. But without saying what the recording was about.
So that people could listen. For and bring whatever they wanted to bring to the table, as it were, without so you know, whatever it could be anything. And by listening regularly, the situation would resolve itself and you'd feel happier.
That that was the plan. That was the dream. So yeah, so it's a little bit of a serious ending.
But I wanted to, you know, I know I mess around a lot, probably maybe. Maybe not enough, though. But I do a lot, you know, a little bit.
But I'm not doing this just to amuse myself. Because I just talked to Vinnie, I wouldn't need to record it. I just talked to Vinnie, and that would amuse me.
I'll talk to myself and amuses me. I don't need to record myself. So, you know, I generally do hope that it's useful.
And maybe, you know, calling it Let Me Bore You To Sleep is, is not necessarily going to attract people that have other issues. But maybe over time, people that come here in order to relax and maybe fall asleep, or just, you know, feel calmer in their mind, is they'll notice that other things start to change in a more positive way. So that's it.
That's it from me. So thank you very much for listening. This has gone on for ages, over an hour, hour and 20 minutes.
Blimey. So thank you for listening. Remember to be kind to yourself.
Be gentle with yourself. You deserve to be happy. You deserve to be happy.
And maybe remember, have a little think about some of the things you've done to help other people. Not, not as a self congratulatory thing, but just to remind yourself that you have a reason to be grateful for you. And you deserve to be able to smile and to feel good about yourself.
Lots of love. And also, I think sometimes, I just have this idea, sometimes people, you know, if I say, be kind to yourself, you deserve to be happy. Yeah.
It's like, oh, it's a platitude. He's still on those platitudes. He thinks he's Jeremy, what's his name? Not sure.
Oh, you know, be kind to yourself and each other's or and each other or something. Jerry, Jerry Springer. But it's a platitude.
It's not a platitude because I can explain and expand upon why I'm saying it. It's not just saying it for the sake of saying it. I did, I think, an hour recording somewhere, where I went in depth into why you deserve to be happy.
So it's not platitude. I know it probably sounds like a platitude. But every now and then I do expand upon it.
Just to kind of show that I'm not just saying it for the sake of saying it. It's actually worth remembering and worth, it may be worth taking notice of. So take care and I'm giving lots of love.
Remember to be kind to yourself and each other's and each other's. Bye. Jerry, Jerry.
