Hello and welcome to Let Me Bore You To Sleep with Vinnie. I've just given him a bone to eat and he's still wanting something else. I don't know what.

Perhaps he wants me to eat it for him. I'm just drinking a cup of tea. So yeah, Let Me Bore You To Sleep.

My name's Jason Newland. And so thank you for listening. Please only listen when you can safely close your eyes.

Of course, you don't need to close your eyes, but only listen if it's safe to close your eyes. So if you do an activity, which would not be safe to do with your eyes closed, then don't listen to this whilst doing that particular activity. So, you know, if you're hand gliding, for example, that's something perhaps you shouldn't be doing.

Or if you're driving a crane or operating a crane, you don't drive a crane do you? I guess you operate a crane. If you operate in a crane, don't listen to this while you're doing that. If you're setting up the world record longest domino track thing, you know, when you tip the dominoes and it goes down the next one and I think they call it the domino effect.

And you're aiming to, you know, break the world record, which is probably about 6 million miles or something. Then maybe don't listen to this because you won't be able to do that with your eyes closed, would you? Unless of course you can, then cool. If you're welding, probably not a good idea to listen to this.

If you're welding, you couldn't weld with your eyes closed, could you? If you're in a circus and you're a knife thrower, then maybe, I mean, if you is the recipient, you know, if you're the one standing having the knives thrown around you, hopefully, then you could perhaps listen to this then. But I think I'd want to be aware so I could duck. If you're a duck, you could listen to this.

But then how? Can ducks hear? I don't know. Do ducks have ears? You might be thinking, of course they have ears, but where? Have you ever seen a duck's ear? I haven't. Don't see them wearing glasses, do you? Exactly.

They've got no ears. Have to wear contact lenses. Didn't know that, did you? No.

So there. So yeah, this is a very serious podcast, as I'm sure you're beginning to realise. And it's really, it's just an opportunity to let go of your day-to-day stuff.

Maybe slow your mind down, focusing on my words instead of any internal dialogue that might have been there before. And because what I'm saying is going to be predominantly fairly boring, really, not to me, but to everyone else, I find it incredibly interesting. But no one else seems to, for some reason.

I don't know why. I suppose if you're a pitcher in basketball, not basketball pitcher, but baseball rather, you don't pitch in basketball, do you? You're not allowed to have bats in basketball. So you need to have your eyes open for that.

For most sports, apart from, you know, sports which are specifically for people that maybe can't see. But outside of that, it's, often it must be really weird, a weird sensation to be, because you know, you've got like the Special Olympics and you see people skiing, but they've got someone with them. But to be able to put that much faith into another human being is, I can't even imagine it.

You know, you're going down a mountain, a mountain, and literally, you put everything in the hands of that person. My hand is pulsating. That's weird.

Yeah, just thinking about that for some reason. I think it's because there's, I think, I don't think it's the Special Olympics, but there was something on TV, a ceremony last night. I don't know if it was a Special Olympics, but it was a special something.

It was, I don't know if it was in North Korea or somewhere like that, and, or Turkey, I don't know. But it was a sporting event. I don't know.

I watched it a something else. And I watched it and I thought, Oh, what's this? And I don't know what it was, because you've got the Paralympics. Is it Paralympics? In after the Olympics? Is it Paralympics? I don't know.

But this is called the Special Games. So it's, it's not necessarily based on physical disabilities. So yeah, I found it interesting.

I don't know much about it. Actually, I might look it up. See what it's what it's all about.

I do come across stuff sometimes, looking for something like today. Yesterday, today, I spent ages trying to find a way to stream a boxing show that was in Australia. Tim Su, who was fighting Kampara or something like that.

Anyway, and it was a big fight. And he's the Tim Su is the, he's the son of Costa Su, who was a big three time world champion, kind of a legend. And I wanted to watch it basically.

But they're only showing it on, I think Showtime in America couldn't get it here. And none of the channels as far as I'm aware, we're showing it because sometimes Sky Sports shows American boxing. The Zone has their own app, which they've got their own boxing that's top rank.

And yeah, that's kind of they cover for them. BT Sports has their one Sky Sports is boxer. And it's that's the company and so they have their own fights as well as well as showing American fights.

And BT Sports also has their own stable of fighters and they show American fights as well. There's also an app called Fight F I T E, which shows some American fights, but they seem to be focused more on MMA these days than and bare knuckle fighting and stuff rather than boxing for some reason. So I couldn't find out how to do it.

And I wanted to watch it and so I looked at it yesterday and it was going to be on today at 4pm. Because Australia is they're showing it live. It's 4pm in the afternoon, which is quite a good time for me.

Means I'm not up all night because I was up all night last night watching the boxing. And the thing is, I thought, well, Google's not doing anything. I'm not finding anything on Google.

So what I'll do, I'll go on to chat, chat GPT four and you know, search online with that. How do I stream? Well, it's first of all said you need to have a VPN server. And I went on to Apple TV, which is where I watch my TV shows.

You know, the apps and that. And I had it a few years now, actually, I think they said you need a VPN. There's no VPN apps on the Apple Store.

So I thought, Hmm. So I thought to myself, I know what I'll do. I'll ask chat GPT on my laptop.

How am I able to watch it using the Apple TV in the UK? And it told me, and it went through every process involved, showed me I found a video that explained it completely. There's two ways of doing it. One was using the router.

But my router, because of the companies with doesn't allow VPN server doesn't allow it to accept that. But there's another way you can do it, which bypasses that. So I'm looking at that.

I'm thinking, okay, is a lot of steps, but it looked like it was just like painting by numbers, you know, as a case of just following each step, step by step, and it's very clear the video. But I did feel a little bit has a lot to do there. And then I thought, maybe YouTube will have a live stream of it.

And now, you know, you never know, it's worth a shot, you know, if a chance, Showtime have got a YouTube channel. So I went on there and put in Tim to, I said it out loud, because it's a, it's a remote that you can remote control where you can talk into it. But it doesn't do very well with spelling, like, because I think it's TZ, YU, or something, or UI.

So it's quite a, it doesn't spell it when I when I speak it. But I put in enough information to should come up. So I just put Tim, Sue, that's with a T, and a Z, and a Y and a U. He's a boxer.

He's fighting soon. He punches really hard. So I thought that should be enough information for it to come up.

And it did. And, and it said, the highlights as a 10 hour 10 hours ago, there was posting I thought, why are they posting something 10 hours ago, highlights of the fight that he's about he hasn't had yet. Because this is about which was about four o'clock in the afternoon, to be fair.

But that was when the the show starts. So I thought to myself, that's weird, because sometimes on YouTube, they will actually people release videos, pretending to be the fight. And you click on it and they say, go to this website, and then you can watch it.

And, you know, you click on the link, go to the website, and they want your credit card details, or, you know, so I don't go through that anymore. Sometimes it's just a fake videos, a video of a mock up, where they, it's like a different fight. It's not even the at the fighters that are saying it is I've been on those ones as well, where it says, Oh, watch them, Bobby, Bobby fine, Timmy, Tim, Tim, Tim.

And wait a minute, that's not Tim, Tim, Tim, Tim. That's Tim, Tim, Tim, Tim, Tim. And that's that's Bobby, Bobby, Bobby, Bob blue, as I Oh, it's different people.

But it's just, I don't know why people make videos like that makes no sense to me. But very little does. So I clicked on it, I thought, okay, let's just have a look what it what it is, maybe it's just a promotion.

And, or maybe, you know, just a build up to get people interested in the fight. And then it was an actual fight. It was the highlights of a fight.

Now, I couldn't remember who he was fighting. I thought, is that the bloke he's fighting? So I went on to Wikipedia, clicked on Tim Sue's page. Just because I still thought the fight hadn't started yet.

So I thought, Oh, that must be the person he fought last time. Why are they? Why are they just uploading it 10 hours ago? Well, it wasn't. The fight was yesterday.

Saturday at 4pm, not Sunday. I got it wrong. I felt so foolish.

And the highlights. It wasn't the highlights of the fight. It was highlights of before the fight and after the fight.

The fight lasted about 30 seconds of round one. And Tim finished the fight very quickly. There, there, there very quickly.

And I was well, almost happy I didn't. Well, it's a lot of effort to put into something that didn't last very long. There wouldn't be the first time put a lot of effort into something that's only lasted for 30 seconds.

But let's not go into that right now, shall we? Oh, itchy arm. Happy Father's Day to those people in the UK who celebrate Father's Day. I did send my dad a Happy Father's Day text, but he hasn't replied.

And I did send him a card, but I don't know. Maybe he didn't get it. Mind you, I did only send it this morning.

Well, now I sent it Friday. But then there's no there's no postal delivery on Sunday. And maybe the post will on strike Saturday.

I don't know. At the moment, a lot of different places are on strike these days. And it's hard to really keep.

I find it hard to keep track of it all. Who's on strike? How long are they on strike for me? So yeah, I don't know. So maybe he thinks I didn't send him a card.

Now I didn't send a present because I didn't have any money to send him a present. But I bought a card on online Moon Pig, Moon Pig, MoonPig.com. That's that one. Yeah.

And so that was there. I mean, I've got no shops near me. So it's either that or order it.

I suppose I could have ordered a card on Amazon. And I could have got it sent to my dad, but I couldn't write in it. Does Amazon offer that service? No, I don't think they do.

No, just thinking back to it. No. So it's nowhere near to even buy stamps or anything.

It really is a bit in the middle of nowhere. Man sitting in his nowhere van. Watching lots of nowhere to go in to nobody.

So yeah, I haven't. I've been trying to focus on different things, trying to work out what to do next. I can't figure out what to do next.

So I decided to just do this. Do trying to this, trying to figure out, trying to figure out where am I going? Because as a young, a young fella, such as myself, I look into the future thinking, you know what? Where do I want to be when I get into me, when I get to 30? Stone. What do I want to be when I'm, when I'm, when I'm middle aged?

And then I go into the bathroom to do my fourth pee of the hour.

I see myself in a mirror and I remember, I remember that little secret that I try and keep for myself when there's no mirrors around. The secret that I am in fact 52 coming up to 53 in two months, two months and how many days? Is it the 18th today? Or was it 19th today? So my birthday is the 26th of August, so it will be, was that two months and one day roughly-ish or exactly, kind of.

Yeah, I think it's been pretty good.

Unfortunately, um, a little bit of a run-in with a couple of dogs last week. I don't know if I mentioned it, I'm not sure when I last did a recording, but I have to keep him on the lead now. And it's a shame, but what else, what else can I do? Because he won't come back to me.

He has no recall. If he's, if he's off the lead and he sees, it doesn't matter if it's a dog or a human or a carrier bag blowing in the wind, he has to go over to it. He has to say hello.

And he, it's almost his ears switch off. He doesn't hear me. And 99% of the time it's fine, but I just had one particular occasion.

I was in the field with him. He was off the lead. He was just, he was just walking with me down one of the pathways.

He stops and I'll keep walking. I thought, I thought he was just having a drink from the gutter. No, it's not a gutter.

It's a, it's a, what's it called? It's like, it's a, it's, it's a ditch basically with water. So it's, it's not like dirty water. It's rainwater that's used for the fields.

Dyke. Yeah, it's a dyke. And so he goes in there.

He has a little drink of the dyke, out of the dyke. And because it's hot, it's been hot the last few days, not so much today, but the end of last week, it's Sunday today. So I thought that's all he was doing.

And then before I know it, he was gone. And some bloke, the other side of the dyke, where there's also a pathway, was shouting at me, not shouting, but shouting to me, to get his, and he said, your dog's here. And I said, is he okay? He said, he won't be if my dog gets him.

So his dog was, I don't know what kind of dog it was, a big, big old thing, and wasn't friendly. And he wanted to be more than just friends, you know, with Vinnie. And, so yeah, there's a bit of noise in the garden, so I had to stop talking for a little bit.

And then Vinnie wanted to go out. So I took him out, and now he's staring at me. It's raining out there.

So I put my brolly on, and put my brolly on, and I'm wearing it. But I put it up, stepped outside for a short while. Vinnie did a big long wee-wee.

And then he looked at me, and used to say, what now? What do you mean, what now? What now? What do you want? I'd like to go to the movies. I said, no, we're not going to the cinema. Just, I mean, you know, we're restricted within this area.

Can we go roller skating? No, we're not going roller skating. What were you thinking we could do? Well, to be honest, I thought maybe you could do a poo. So we can get it over and done with.

He said, it's all you think about, isn't it? It's not all I think about. But it's nice to know you've done it. You do the last poo of the day.

He said, but I did the poo last time we went out. Remember I did it in long grass, and you had trouble picking it up, and it went on your finger, and you was all angry. You remember? Made me laugh.

Yeah, I do remember, mate. I do. Yeah.

Thanks for reminding me. You really need to wash your hands, you know. Can't believe you had your sandwich.

I did wash mine. I washed them as soon as I got in. I mean, it doesn't happen very often.

He said, have you tried using a bag, you know, instead of your hands? I said, I use a bag. You know I do. He said, no, I don't mean for you, yourself.

I don't like to pick up my poo. Weird. Oh, itchy tummy.

So yeah, so he was the other side of the dike, and he managed, eventually, like, what am I supposed to do? I can't get through there, and to walk up around is probably a couple of minutes. So I was, maybe a minute. So I decided to make that my way there, and he shouted, oh, he's come back to you, and he did.

After, I shouted, right, get here now! Feeling, and I didn't think he'd take any notice, because normally he doesn't. Plus, I'd already been shouting at him to come, and he had been ignoring me. But I did a proper, a proper angry yell, and he did come back.

But it was angry, just because I was concerned about his well-being. And, you know, the aftermath, if you know what I mean, it's not a good situation for anyone involved. So, but luckily, it all worked out fine, and he came back.

So I've not let him off the lead since. And then the very next day, the very next day, he came back to me. Ah, what is it? Return the cinder that just sung on.

Ah, and if he comes back the very next day, then I'll understand. So yeah, anyway, got distracted. The very next day, we're walking up this way that we walk quite regularly, and there was a dog on the front lawn with a couple of kids.

And the dog was really at him. Or maybe at me as well, I don't know. I had him, I had Vinnie on a lead, so I'm thinking maybe he just wants to say hello, but it was quite, seemed quite aggressive.

And the girl was, the little girl was like, stop. And he was listening, the dog was listening. But he, I said he's on a lead, because I couldn't really see, because if he's on a lead, then that's less to worry, you know, it's less for me to think about if he does come, at least there's more chance of stopping him.

And she said, no, I said, oh, okay, and I just left. I just, I just kind of want to know what the situation was, because factually, there's nothing either of those kids could have done if that dog decided to come for Vinnie, because it was a strong, big, strong dog, just physically, as simple as that. But it sounded like the dog was quite well trained.

So that's cool. But those two situations day, you know, after in like within 24 hours, it was a shame, because I was starting to enjoy taking him out, because I was able to let him off. I had the thing that I chucked the ball in the park, and he chases it.

And he loves that. He also loves running around with some of the other dogs in the park. And now I can't let him off the lead, because he won't come back.

Loads of times he's run off to say hello to someone. He doesn't listen to me. But nothing bad's happened from it.

You know, it's just a couple of people a bit huffy. There's some big bloke walking down. And Vinnie was trying to say hello to him and the bloke just ignored, ignored Vinnie.

So up, which is fine. Yes, it's up to him. So Vinnie gave up eventually.

But people have got their, a lot of people have got shorts on at the moment. And he's got a tendency of jumping up at people's legs, because he's so little. He's just saying hello.

But if he scratches someone's leg, it's not going to hurt them. But it might, it might be irritating to someone, you know. And so, yeah, it's such, it's a shame because he loves, loves, loves, loves, loves playing with other dogs.

There's the joy, the joy in his face. He just loves it. And it just, it's beautiful to watch.

And he also loves chasing the ball. He won't give it back, but he chases it. And I have to walk up to him to get it, and I have to make sure I've got another ball to chuck.

And I won't chuck it until he drops the one in his mouth, and then he'll chase that. That's the only way I can get the other ball back, because he won't, once it's in his mouth, he won't let it go. It's very possessive.

But since then, I think it was Wednesday, it's just been boring walking around on a lead. And he's still seen some of his doggy friends, and he's had a little play around, but he's been on the lead. And some of those are off the lead, still kept him on the lead.

And it's not the same for him. He doesn't have that freedom, because sometimes what they do is they'll run the other side of the park and run back and gets a lot of energy done as well. He works off a lot of energy and keeps him fit.

He's only little and young. Yeah, it's a shame. I mean, the bloke with the, I don't know if it's dangerous dog, but it seemed to be, he had his dog on a lead, so he wasn't doing anything wrong.

I was in the wrong really, I guess, by having my dog off the lead and not having any control over him. It didn't feel like that at the time, I'll be honest, but on reflection, because I've been in that exact same situation with my friend's dog, where he went to try and eat another dog. And it's just like, it's just, it's an impossible situation.

So it's a shame. It's a shame. It's a shame.

It's a shame. So it's half past eight in the evening. My knees just clicked.

That's weird. So yeah, the stats for the podcast, all right, it's always slow at the weekend. It comes and goes, it grows and it shrinks.

I'm talking about the podcasts and I've made a few podcast episodes this week. I did a one, two, three, four, maybe altogether. So it's not like I haven't done anything.

I did upload a 10 hour video onto YouTube a few days ago. And I'm in the process of producing another 10 hour video, which I will upload overnight, because it will take all night to upload onto YouTube. Well, it would take quite a while because it's going to be, I think it was 76 gigabytes before I added the actual audio.

Now the audio on its own, naught is about 270 megabytes. So it's not a lot. But I don't know how that will work out to be part of a video might make it a lot bigger.

I'm not sure. I hope not. But it's not going to be like 700 gigabytes like previously.

It's 70 gigabytes. It's like 79. It's a lot.

It's a heck of a lot. But it would be a lot bigger if I hadn't used shrinking software shrinking. This is thing called break, something break.

And it's an app. Handle break, I think is a handle break, break handle handle break. And it shrinks a video size without losing the quality of the video.

I used to use it many, many moons ago, you know, back, blimey, maybe 10 years even. So it's been a while since I used it. And the 10 hour video is just this long time of video.

Especially when the video is like spiraling, or like a kaleidoscope or the sea or nature, you know, that kind of stuff. It takes 10 hours is a lot. Now, I know that when YouTube can when it connects to YouTube and it's uploaded, they then process it and make it a lot smaller.

It doesn't stay at that size. And they probably get it down to, well, like a marginal amount of size. But that's what they're, they've got the software and the hardware and the capabilities to do that.

And they'd have to shrink it. But all right, just that someone at the door, there is someone at the door. There's someone at the door.

Still haven't received a message from my father. How weird. I do it new way.

So yeah. What day is it today? The 18th of Jun. Johnny, did you know? Did you know that my name is the only name in? Okay, let's try and explain this.

Do you know the calendar? January, February, March, all that, you know, the 12 months of the year. The first letter of each month. So January, F, J, F, M, A, you know, that all the way through to D, December.

My name is the only name that's spelt in the calendar. July, August, September, October, November. Jason.

Isn't that an interesting fact? I also say also in coding. I'm not quite sure what it is. But it's a thing called Jason, J, A, S, N. I'd have to Google to find out what that means.

Because I'm not really an expert on that stuff. So yeah, all named after me, me particularly, specifically, me, moi. Oh, yesterday, right? Yesterday, there was, I didn't know it was the king's birthday.

Right? I've not even really got my head around the idea that we got a king. I forget. But we do.

We got a king now. And never used to have a king. Well, we used to have a king, but it was before I was born.

I think the king was it 1954 or something when the queen became the queen. And didn't the original king abdicate because he wanted to be with a divorcee from America. That's how old fashioned things were back then.

He was in love with a divorcee, with a woman that had been previously married. And he chose her over being the king. So I think then his brother became king.

And then his brother passed away. And then his daughter became queen. I think that's how it happened.

Now, King Charles is married to a, as far as I'm aware, who's now, I think she's now the queen, a former divorcee. And he was with her when she was, I don't know if she was a divorcee or still married. I'm not sure.

Now I'm making that part up. I'm not sure the things, and I'm not saying that out of judgment because it ain't now to do with me. But I'm comparing it with the old days.

And what a shame that back then someone would have to make that choice. And how romantic those in a way that he would choose love over, mind you, some would say over duty. So yeah, I suppose the dog's now giving me hassle.

He's starting to stare at me. Now sometimes when he wants to go O-U-T for a W-A-L-K, or a P-O-O, or a W-E-E, he'll just stand at the side of my bed, staring at me. And because it gets, I go to bed fairly early.

And it's sometimes still light, it's not really, it's not pitch black, you know, so I can kind of see around the room. And I guess also my eyes get accustomed to the surrounding light, I suppose, in the room. I look over and he's staring like 10 minutes later, 20 minutes later.

I close my eyes and I fall asleep. And then he's at the bottom of the bed, staring at me. So I turn over to face the wall.

And I open my eyes and he's there, literally, practically his nose is touching my face, just staring, wanting me to wake up, making noises. Like get up, get up, get up. Making like, I can't do the noises because he'll start doing them.

And now he's staring at me, turning his head from side to side like they do. Do you want to go to training school, or just tell each other, turn your head from side to side. Humans think that's very cute.

They do. They like that. What are you doing? You're trying to steal stuff.

You were born thief, aren't you? You're in the right place. Always trying to steal things. Yeah, you got a treat.

You got the bone. You've had the bone. You had the treat.

Oh, his friend downstairs came up, his dog friend, who's three times, four times bigger than him. He's just, he's a big dog. And there's these strips of these treats that are like long strip things.

Now, the big dog inhales them. Like, it looked like it was his tongue, and he was just putting his tongue in. It just, they were gone.

He started doing the same thing. He started grabbing at the end of the strip and literally just really quickly chewing it in. Never done that ever.

It was like putting a piece of paper through a shredder. It was, I don't know if shredders still exist. I don't know.

And I thought, is that going to be his new way of doing things now? Because he wants to eat it before the other dog gets to it, I guess. So, I took him out. When I took him for a walk earlier, I brought him back.

I gave him the exact same treat, and he just took it in his mouth and ate it slowly like he normally does. So, I'm not sure. I'm no sure what's going on with him.

I can't figure him out. I can't figure anyone out. I can't figure me out.

He's trying to find something that's going to make the most amount of noise. I can sense that because he's just touching stuff. And now he's like, I can't think of anything that can make noise.

I'll use this thing in my throat, the thing that makes noise. Hopefully, if I ignore him, he'll just get bored. Sometimes he wakes me up and all he wants to do is play.

He doesn't want to go out. And other times he pretends he wants to go out when all he wants to do is, when we get to the bottom of the stairs, turn right and go to his friend's house where his friend lives. Stop it.

You want to go in the bedroom? You want to go in the bedroom? You can if you want. You want to go on a naughty step? You're so cute. You are very cute.

You've got such a cute little face. His eyes are so expressive. He's got a constant frown on his face.

Stop it. What do you actually want? Well, now he's got one of his paws up looking at me turning his head. Oh no, his nose is now wobbling.

You've literally just been out, so you don't want to go out, do you? You've been to the toilet, you've been out, you want another treat? You want to play? You want a play fight? Do you want a ball? Shall I give you a ball? I've just given him a tennis ball to play with. He likes to eat them. There'll be nothing left of it.

There'll just be little bits on the floor. He doesn't actually eat it. He just rips it up and shreds it into little bits.

But he enjoys it. It's one of his favourite hobbies. It's all about destruction with him.

He just loves... I don't think it's like, I want to find out how it works. If I take it apart, I can find out how it works. Yeah, but if you do it with your teeth and you rip it up, you can't put it back again, can you? You can't put it together again.

He said, no, why would I want to put it back together again? I said, because that's why you want to find out how it works, isn't it? So you can put it back together again. He said, no, I want to find out how it works so that I can rip it to bits. I don't understand.

What do you mean? He said, well, I want to find out what makes it bounce. Where's the bouncy thing inside? I said, well, no, it's the structure of the ball. He said, but it's just hollow inside.

Is it got special air or something? Is it got helium? I said, where do you hear about helium? He said, I read about it in a book. It was about helium. The book was, it was called All About Helium Facts and Stories About Helium.

I said, you're making this up, aren't you? He said, yeah. Yeah. How do you know? How did you know? How did you really know? Be honest.

Oh, dear. I got bored with that. So yeah, I'm just I'm going to bed in a minute.

And then while I'm in bed, I'm going to upload that video to YouTube. And, you know, I got a little bit excited earlier. There's a new AI app or new AI.

It's in beta movement or beta mode or whatever you want to call it. And it's part of the Adobe Audition Suite. And if you don't know what beta means, it's just basically it's, I don't know, like trial, a test in testing mode.

And it sounded like it'd be really good because it improves the quality of the sound. So if you record something outside, for example, with the wind, and you just upload this audio and you process it, your sound will come out like you're sitting in a soundproofed recording studio. So they say.

Well, I tried this out with an old recording from but no, eight, nine, 10 years ago, not maybe nine years ago. And it didn't sound good at all. It was awful.

But I'm thinking maybe that's because it's such an old recording. And maybe also because it's, it was quite a long recording, maybe I don't know. Little bit disappointed.

Just a little bit. Just a little bit. By the way, if you if you like making images and you don't, you know, maybe you make images and you need to make images or whatever, you just enjoy making images and playing around.

There's an app that I use, I've been using it for a few years. And it's called Canva. I mean, it's not a secret.

I mean, it's a lot of people know about it, but a lot of people don't probably don't know about it. And there's a free, there's a free service is a free one that you can use. You can use it online, you don't have to download it or anything.

And you can make images and do all kinds of things. Now, if you get premium, which is still only like £10 a month, you can do stuff that was almost magic on some of the other things like Photoshop, like deleting, first of all, deleting the background of an image, or deleting something out of an image. So if you're for example, you're sunbathing next to a, let's say you're on a beach.

And you've gone there, maybe with your friends, and your friends gone off to buy ice cream. And, or maybe your friends taking a said, Oh, I'll take a picture of you. And you say, Yeah, take a picture of me.

And you got your best bikini on maybe, I don't know. And you're, you're doing a really nice pose. And you're thinking, Oh, this is nice, this is gonna be really good.

Or maybe I use this on my, my LinkedIn profile, I don't know, whatever, my dating profile, I don't know what dating websites still around, I don't know. And then, you know, your friend takes the picture, and maybe it's a selfie, you're really long arms. And then you get it home, you see it, I mean, don't get it home and develop it because it's on your phone.

But you don't realize because you're not taking that much notice, there's a lot of sun glaring, not glaring at you in a weird way. But you know, bright, bright, sun's bright. So you can't necessarily see your phone screen, as well as maybe perhaps you would have done previously, had it not been so bright.

That's what I mean. And you watch anything that's that you looked at when you get home, and you look at the pictures that you took, and you think, that's a really nice picture. That's that could start off my modeling career.

You might think to yourself, and you realize and you think, what's that? It's like a, a big blemish, like a big jelly. What is it? Is it octopus top of the head, an octopus's head in the background, and you realize it's me, sunbathing, it's my big belly sticking out. And I basically ruined your photograph.

I didn't mean to. It wasn't planning it. I just happened to be there.

And you're thinking, oh, I mean, you know, you could say, well, what, just crop it. And you can get rid of that. But you might think, well, I could crop it.

But I actually, I want to have the background with me. I don't want it just to be me. I want people to be able to see bits of the sea and the sand and, you know, some of the background things, because cropping will just get rid of that stuff.

I want that stuff to be in it, to be in it, I really do. So now, you can literally just delete me. It can be deleted within seconds.

And you wouldn't even know I was ever there, ever there, ever there, ever there, ever, ever, ever, ever there. And it would be like, wow, I was gonna say you used to be able to do that in Photoshop. You can do that in Photoshop.

But it used to be a very technical thing to do. And it's got easier over the years. I'm not particularly okay with the old Photoshop.

I kind of wish I had got into it a little bit more when I was younger. I used to have Photoshop and all the Adobe stuff years ago, like 20 years ago, probably when it was all free to use. But I think I had the, I think I actually paid for it, actually, I think I did.

Because it was easier, because you could use it online, you could download stuff, but sometimes it's just easier just to pay for it and download it onto your hard drive. And it just seemed to work better. And you get a key, remember that, you get a box, a box with a disk in and the box would be way too, way too big.

It basically just be cardboard and cardboard filling, and then just a disk, maybe a little, a little booklet or something. You'd have a code, then you have to put that code in, which would be the code of to register the software. And you pretty much had to keep the box forever and ever and ever.

Or the code would be on the back of the of the disk, like the paper where the disk was in or the pamphlet or whatever it is. Yeah. Remember that? I don't even know if you can even buy software anymore.

In a box. I don't reckon. I reckon a time will come when iPhones, not iPhones, um, laptops and computers, they will no longer be changed, you'll get upgraded.

So they'll be able to just plug in something which will upgrade the computer to a better spec. So you still have the same keyboard, you can change your keyboard or whatever. But you won't have to buy a whole new laptop.

You can just plug in the new, updated version, and everything will be updated. The hard drive, the, the memory, all that stuff, all just gets put onto the end, they get it. I don't know how quiet would work, because I don't know what I'm talking about.

But I think it could, I really think it could. I mean, I believe every, every toenail I've still got left that I think it could work. I really do.

Yes. So I don't know, it'd be, it'd be interesting to see. Apparently, you know, the things like the chat GPT and I keep saying JAT, chat GPT.

Some of these softwares run really like big things. To be able to do some of this stuff at home, you would need an NVIDIA. There's also another company that does it as well.

These chips. They're not chips as in, you know, eating. And it costs something like 30 grand.

So, even though a lot of this stuff is open source, and it's usable by people. This, I'm guessing, I think it's a fair guess. There's not many average people.

So average as in the average person with the average income or the average bank balance that would be able to afford 30,000. I don't know if it's dollars or pounds, but it's still a lot of money. 30,000 for a chip.

It's a big chip, but it's still a chip. And not just that, but the kind of, you'd have to have a PC with some proper power. And my laptop is a good laptop.

He's a good boy. He is a very good boy. But just the electricity alone to run something that had a $30,000 computer chip.

So to run, the amount of energy I imagine it would take. I mean, oh wow. Probably thousands, thousands a week probably.

Again, I'm making all of this up. I'm just guessing, guessing with no information to back up or to prove or disprove really. It's all guesswork.

And I'll be honest, that's what makes me happy. Just guessing. Guessing and gassing.

So I'm interested in the AI. I really am. I don't know why.

I'm not sure why. I don't know, but it's grabbed me. It's really grabbed my interest.

And coming from a perspective of not really knowing how to use it, but I'm interested in it. And I'm coming from a perspective of not being a computer programmer, and not being an artist, not being an editor, or a visual designer, or a video designer, or being you're working in finance or, or computers or anything that where that the AI would perhaps be helpful with. And AI can be useful for making helping with images and helping with keywords and things like that for videos and podcasts.

And there's ways to do transcription as ways to get like a summary or a description of so if you get a transcription, and some quite a few AI apps and websites that will not only transcribe an audio, but then give a summary, give a description, bullet points even, and then give keywords, tag words for that podcast episode or video episode. And maybe even come up with a title, a choice of good titles that may be better than the ones that I might have thought of.

They're really when I'm doing these, I just, I just give it whatever.

It's never, it's never an exciting title, is it to be honest. And that would defeat the object. Imagine if I get all super exciting title, then you listen thinking, oh, this is a bit boring.

I thought I was going to be really excited. I'm very disappointed. So yeah, that's kind of where I am with that.

That's where I am. Yes. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.

So I like the I'm really interested. And I've tried out a few different things. There's some things I'd like to be able to do with AI.

And one of the things is to improve the quality of my old videos. And then I mean, like really make the quality good. Whether that's possible, I don't know.

I've seen stuff where it says it is possible. There's a website called Filmora, F-I-L-M-O-R-A, but they want in $200 or whatever for their or $299 for their download. No, I don't have.

I mean, no, I don't have any money as it is. Wow. Yeah, anyway, I don't have any money.

So there's a few others I'm kind of looking at. I tested one today and I was trying to do it on Adobe. And it wasn't Premiere Plus or whatever is Premiere Pro, it was not working.

I was playing around with it. So I didn't really know what I was doing. But nevertheless, it was not working.

Whatever it was, I was doing wasn't working. And then I tried to change the audio and increase that and make it better using their vocal enhancer and it and it really didn't sound good at all. Very tinny, very spotty.

A bit like me really, a bit like how I normally sound. I sound like this. That is how I talk.

Yes. Oh, yes. Oh, yes.

So then I'm thinking, but the animation is amazing. I think some of the things I don't like is don't don't dislike, but there's a thing where mid journey, which is one of the most popular, most famous AI websites or apps in the world, but online anyway, amongst creatives, and you can create images, you can do all kinds of stuff on there. But you need to use Discord, which is a I've downloaded, I do, I can use it.

I just don't. I don't want to use that. I want to be able to do everything online.

I want to be able to do everything on the website. And that doesn't allow you to do that at the moment. But they're looking into providing that service where you can just do everything on the phone on the on to the on the website, like chat GPT.

So you no longer have to go somewhere else. Now is so so I'm interested in using it then but not at the moment. I've used Leonardo.

Was it the one that I use, I've used to create images. And I think it might be Leonardo, there's a few out there that you can prompt basic text to image, sell it what you want. And it just brings an image up.

Some of them are good, some of them are really not. And then recently, I saw on YouTube, they were announcing the Canva, who I've been using for a few years, have now got a new app part of their thing. If you're a pro user, text to chat AI, text to chat text to image AI rather.

And I tried it out. And it's really good. It's a very sensitive though, because you can't one of the things you can't well, one of the things I've not been able to find how to do yet is to put anything with him with text, I can add text after the after the fact to an image using Canva or you can do whatever using editing software.

But you know, street signs or things like that. It just comes up with googly gook kind of language like a non language. So it's it's not quite there yet.

But that'll be I'm sure it'll be changed very quickly. It'll be improved. And, and then I was gonna say there's a reason for me saying that.

Canva text to image. Yeah, it's good. It works.

And that's not very good. We've said we've think Oh, yeah. I'm not sure if it's Canva.

It might I think it might have been. It might have been Canva actually. One of the text to image apps that I was using recently, I wanted and I said, have use an ape.

And doing something because basically, what was I talking about? Reading papers or something? And yeah, reading the papers, show a monkey reading the papers. And they said, No, that could be classed as offensive. That's what it came up as we can't do that.

So I grew up watching chimpanzees drinking tea. You know, for teabags, like, not teabagging, but like drinking tea and talking. And there was Clyde from any which way is up in each way but loose with Clint Eastwood.

Remember Clyde, the big orangutan? And like, how can that be offensive? I said, Well, I thought put a gorilla and gorilla reading the newspaper. No, wouldn't allow it. I was like, I don't understand.

It makes no sense to me. I didn't couldn't quite get it. Like, it's an animal.

I say, Okay, have a cock doing it. Okay, no. I said, Okay, cock rule.

No. What is this? And I think I even put a clown that didn't seem to like me putting clowns. And I realised that I was on Amazon.

So it's on the wrong website. But anyway, it's not really relevant. It's like, how is that? How can that be offensive to people? I mean, chimpanzees in the wild, getting getting angry because there's pictures of them reading newspapers.

Maybe it's the type of newspaper. I do not read the Financial Times. I would not lower myself.

The Wall Street Daily. I don't know if it's a Wall Street Times. I don't know why I went for two financial papers.

Financial Times in England is a it's a pink paper, actually. It used to be anyway. And it was I used to buy it.

I had this job in what did I do? Is it my first office job? So I started buying Wow. Wow. I remember this blimey.

I started buying the Financial Times every day on the way to work. And I was pretending to read it. I had no idea what I was reading.

It was all about the index and the finances and companies portfolios. I had no in no, no interest, no knowledge, no understanding. I understood some of the words like and and the therefore and beginning and bust.

I knew what bust was. And yeah, it was I didn't know but I used to I felt it was important to at least try being stared at again. Right, I'm gonna go.
