Hello and welcome to Let Me Bore You To Sleep. Please only listen when you can safely close your eyes. And my name is Jason Newland.

If you can hear any of the background sound, Your little Vinnie is chewing on his bone. It's not a euphemism. And that's it really.

So I hope you're well, hope you're well, bloody blah blah. Basically, I have made a few changes, a few decisions, a few somethings. I have decided to, what have I decided? I'm not 98% about this, but I've decided, kind of decided to only, from now on, only make Let Me Bore You To Sleep.

Podcast episodes. And the reason behind that is because these are the only ones I enjoy making. These are the only ones that I can do with Vinnie in the room.

You know, I can't do the others without putting him into the bedroom, and he doesn't like being in the bedroom without me being with him. And providing he's got a little bit of a distraction, he's fine. I mean, if he's asleep, he can sleep here with me and he doesn't care what I do.

It just makes it a little bit more difficult, and I can't do the other recordings unless it's quiet. And during the summer, it gets noisy, you know, there's people in the gardens, lawnmowers, just people enjoying the summer really, which is fine. Not ideal for making very quiet hypnosis recordings.

And the other thing is, I'm no longer awake all night like I used to be. So I used to make my hypnosis recordings during the night when it was quiet. But now I've turned into a pensioner, and I literally have sleeped in bed at 10 o'clock, most nights, sometimes earlier, and it's just the way it seems to have gone.

I guess, I'm not sure if it's to do with age, it's just how it is. And also, I don't really want to be walking Vinnie in the middle of the night. It's all right, but I can't see where he's done his poo, you know, because it's black, it's dark, I can't see anything.

And I can't really see where I'm walking. I can't even see him, like, even though he's on the ground. Usually, and sometimes he floats, but generally, he's on the ground.

And he's probably sucking helium. And I can't see him, even that distance, because it's literally pitch black. No streetlights on after midnight or one o'clock.

So, you know, that was all right when I didn't have to go out, but because I need to go out within probably every four hours, roughly, so you can go to a toilet and have a bit of exercise. It's better than I'm awake during the day, really. Well, this is boring, isn't it? This is really boring.

And I spent the last few days trying to plan the rest of the year, and like, well, I'll do this recording then, I'll do this then, and I've been doing all this stuff, preparation. And I realized that I don't really want to do that stuff. At the moment, anyway.

And even though the, for example, the deep sleep whisper recordings seem to be quite popular, the Let Me Bore You To Sleep ones are generally the most popular when I put them onto the website. I put them onto the podcasts, like the hypnosis for stress and anxiety. When I upload those, if I look at the stats, and I'm going to read the stats out for this particular reason, not just generally.

But the last 30 days, the top one has been deep sleep whisper. That wasn't a good example, wasn't it? But then you've got, Let Me Bore You To Sleep. Let Me Bore You To Sleep.

to be fair the relaxation and sleep hypnosis doesn't get that many but again it's 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 so after the first 20 about 16 a bit Let Me Bore You To Sleep but now I'm looking at I'm thinking I should do more deep sleep whispers because they clearly quite um doing all right I know they do it on the actual podcast itself they are doing okay because at 1.3 million downloads last 30 days 53,000 but the last 12 months

564 thousand and a half deep sleep whisper so that's pretty good isn't that I guess blimey haven't really thought about that but then the hypnosis for stress and anxiety 1.2 million the other one is 1.1 million for the hypnosis for sleeping deeply and lastly the sleep hypnosis 580,000 now the actual Let Me Bore You To Sleep podcast isn't much really it's only 700,000 altogether last 12 months 220,000 so I get more downloads on the other podcasts for the Let Me Bore You To Sleep episodes sleep hypnosis daily 619,000 altogether 175,000

last 12 months I don't know what to do I'm not sure I just don't I don't want to sit here doing things I don't enjoy doing you know yeah and yeah I guess I just need to be motivated I just need to have that motivation hmm we'll see I do like making the sleepy boring objects but let's face it they're pretty much the same as the Let Me Bore You To Sleep ones really aren't they kind of the same the stop smoking ones I've had 28,000 last 12 months so I

don't get a huge amount of those but they just plod along you know they plod along plod along and that's it I don't really there's no other stress and pain relief 4,637 altogether I literally had none today the most I've ever had is 32 in one day not a lot but that's another one I get more downloads on other podcasts old boring bedtime stories 9,000 altogether 2,800 in the last 12 months so yeah I don't know I don't I do I do it new the last 12 months for the sleep

and hypnosis with music 110,000 I don't know I'm really not sure not sure self-help hypnosis I get hardly any I've had four out of 44,000 altogether last 12 months 14 nearly 15,000 so it's a small amount so it's just a case of I don't know I don't know a lot today do I I do know one thing a bit sweaty little bit sweaty it's a bit it's a bit hot it was hot yesterday and it's hot today and it was quite hot on Saturday as well because today's Monday the 12th

of June 2003 but yeah it's a little bit uncomfortable doesn't help drinking hot tea I know years ago when I was a kid people saying oh yeah drink hot tea it cools you down yeah sure okay okay should we see if that's true does hot tea cool you down does hot tea cool you down this is because when you drink hot tea your body has to work harder to bring the liquid up to its internal temperature this process of heating up and then cooling down cause what's known as evaporating and

cooling which can help lower the overall body temperature okay maybe it does work then oh I can't stand that I don't can't stand being wrong you think I'll be used to it by now wouldn't you oh dear so yeah I'm just looking trying to figure out what to do next kind of kind of you know just without making a big deal about it because it's not a big deal is it really I'm just some weirdo making recordings ultimately so this doesn't it's not really important but I don't know just hmm

can you can watch YouTube you can use your computer with them so the screen is like a computer screen and I'm not 100% sure how it all works but there I think three and a half thousand dollars which is a very expensive thing and apparently they can do that yeah it's apparently it could change the way that mobile phones are used right mobile phones will just become that's be gone people use these headsets the thing is I can't imagine people want to walk around with them on maybe indoors because I

guess playing computer games or video games or whatever they call them would you know if you put a headset on you could you could change your whole world you know like visually and they've got special special kind of speakers so you can as well as hearing what's going on around you can also hear what's what the headsets saying I don't quite understand how that works but it's a certain kind of level of sound where it's it's like having another person in the room rather than taking over the sound I guess

it would be a similar thing to what actors have or you know the special CID people you know when they go in and got a little head things they put into their ears like James Bond where they can talk and hear and stuff like that I understand what I'm saying my chair is cracking cracking cracking it was a long-rumored already much discussed headset which was to be known as Apple Vision Pro it's like a pair of smart ski goggles according to this which include powerful lenses and cameras to not only

to not only show you virtual reality experiences but overlay them with an almost realistic image of the world with the intention that you are never cut off from your surroundings so I suppose in my mind that would be to stop you from walking into the wall it would show you where the door is maybe you'd make the door out of flowers but you still see where the door the whole of the door was I'm just guessing that bit there it's three and a half grand though yeah it says here three

and a half thousand dollars would be announced you know now if they can I think if they can make them like sunglasses like shades and have that same effect and then have the ability to you wear them and you put in your prescription for your lens if you wear glasses you put in your prescription and you know it then gives you the vision that you're used to having on your normal glasses which will save a fair bit of money you know that won't save money because you're still paying out three

and a half grand but that would be useful but not goggles not too big and I was thinking you know you remember Roy Orbison I know anyone that loves music and whatever and is over the age of 20 probably would know who Roy Orbison is and but I'm thinking of his glasses rather than his beautiful singing voice he had glasses that he basically didn't need to wear but he wore them because he he liked them I'm gonna fact-check did Roy Orbison Orbison need glasses Roy Orbison and all his siblings had

mean I don't I can't see how you can really compare the two not really but Rocky Arnold didn't do anything anything close to what Rocky was nothing like that and the Rambo he did one thing commando Arnold did and that was a great movie but that was that was a closest thing I think you really got to be in like a Rambo kind of situation back in the 80s but those are iconic movies I mean other than Terminator Arnold I suppose the first Predator movie but he's he's kind of his

and like true lies like the one-off movies that were really successful it was only really the Terminator movies that Arnie was like be remembered for I say but Stallone Rambo and Rocky even though he's done other stuff they're the two things that I guess he'll be remembered for I mean I would say that he might not admit but I reckon Stallone was probably a bit jealous of Arnie and he was jealous of Stallone you know at that time in the early 80s so Stallone was already famous his Rocky movie was

what 77 and so he was already it was 75 I don't know 70s it was but he was already a big star huge star Rocky and then first blood the Rambo first Rambi Rambi the first Bambi Bambo movie now Arnie did some movies when he first came to America he did yes a couple of movies that he should be remembered for but it's so long ago but he did Conan the Barbarian and Conan the Destroyer there were good movies I think but again that's the same character he played more than

once but they're almost just lost in a way and he did that movie and what's the one he did with Red Heat he did Red Heat as well didn't he Arnie yeah Sylvester it's better to say Stallone did you say Sylvester it's weird isn't it two of the toughest guys of the 80s Arnold and Sylvester I mean they're cartoon characters and they're children's characters Arnold and Sylvester like so you know it's just like they're not real manly manly names I know we're very manly people but it wasn't been on Arnold

blindly I reckon okay so I reckon Arnold was jealous of Stallone for being such a big star and also talented he wrote it they wrote the Rocky movie script starred in it and you know trained as a boxer and all you know so he's very it was a it was an iconic movie but I imagine Stallone was jealous of Arnold for his physique because no matter what Stallone did he would never have that physique he's probably got a much better physique now because he's still jacked and pumped up he still trains and I'm not sure about Arnie but at the time in the early 80s Arnold was no one had his physique in movies he had the best he was a he won Mr.

Olympia for the last time in 1980 so he came back after being in the Terminator and he was at the time the greatest bodybuilder of all time at the time the most successful he's still the most famous and he's still the most successful as in financially who's made the most money as a bodybuilder and after being a bodybuilder but there are other bodybuilders that have had more success for example who have won the Mr.

Olympia more times than Arnold Schwarzenegger did but he still won it six times which is phenomenal was it 81 82 83 no 75 70 no I think 75 76 77 78 79 or was it 1970 I think it might have been 71 72 73 74 75 and then he came back in 1980 so I think he won it six times maybe it was seven times but I think it was six times should we check Arnold Schwarzenegger yeah it should come up so he Mr.

Olympia yeah so he won 1970 75 and so just early bodybuilding beginning Mr. Olympia bodybuilding career Mr. Olympia so yeah he won the Mr. Olympia and his first attempt at Mr. Olympia says in 1969 but Sergio Olivia won it who was the current Mr.

Olympia and he won it but Arnold won it in 70 at the age of 23 so he was 23 years old when I was born blimey it's amazing isn't it so he's got to be 76 now so he continued his winning streak so 1970 71 72 73 and 74 I thought he did it from 1971 to 75 okay so 71 to 74 70 71 72 73 75 after the 75 contest alright he did he won it again 1975 so won a title for the sixth consecutive time and that was when

they did the pumping iron 1975 one and then he came out of retirement in 1980 and won it again some people said he only won it because he's famous and the other people were better than him but I don't know but it's I think that was the first time I saw yeah I think that's the first time I saw Arnold was in pumping iron he was so just so funny in that it was yeah very funny he's anyway he's so that's what I'm thinking that there too is film filmography for

him Hercules in New York 1970 blimey I didn't realize it was 1970 Stay Hungry was 1976 so Stay Hungry I've ever seen a young yes Sally Field this I remember seeing that movie I think it's rated it was 1976 so he just finished I guess retired from bodybuilding pumping iron came out two years after the 1975 so I was 77 I remember seeing Hercules in New York because that was really cool there was I think there's one part where the bloke tried to steal his bag and the bloke fell over

because he was holding the bag because he's so strong and the comeback in 1980 so I don't remember I'm not sure if I ever saw that or not it's a Conan the Barbarian I thought the Terminator was 1979 seriously I did or am I thinking of Rocky I'm thinking of Rocky and I 79 so Conan the Barbarian is 1982 Conan the Destroyer was 1984 and then the Terminator 1984 but Red Sonja was 1985 but Red Sonja that was he still played the same character he's Conan the Barbarian so he played

that character three times and then commando because Red Sonja had Sylvester Stallone's wife in it as the main she was I think she was married at the same time Bridget Nielsen so oh wait a minute no I was wrong Red Sonja Arnold Schwarzenegger was Lord Kalidor oh I thought he was that's weird how strange I was pretty sure that I mean Conan Destroyer did it have it had Grace Jones in for some reason I thought he's having a good old drink now I thought that that was the turn okay anyway

then you got 85 is the commando that was the first that was a fight that was a really good movie I liked that although he was a star with the Terminator and he was a star with the Barbarian Conan the Barbarian the Terminator was really the big one I think Conan the Barbarian it was still popular and I remember watching it but Terminator that was that was kind of the turning page for him I'd say and then he did all these other movies I mean for Red Sonja I think he's almost kind of forgotten a bit but Commando,
