Hello and welcome to let me bore you to sleep. My name is Jason Newland and my website is www. jasonnewland.com.

Please visit my website it's groovy it is quite good actually to be fair it's basically my podcast so but split up so on them on the main page there is all the latest recordings but at the top of the page you've also got a choice of clicking on the individual podcasts so for example this one let me bore you to sleep the deep sleep whisper hypnosis relax and sleep hypnosis sleepy boring objects whatever else is on there so you can click on those so you get the individual podcasts and all the latest recordings there at

etc so hey hope you well and what else I only listen when you can safely very very very very very safely close your eyes just in case you fall asleep to this podcast that is called let me bore you to sleep just in case you get bored and fall asleep so yeah everything's good what else is there to say I've been working on again just uploading videos on YouTube and stuff like that I've got that I've got up to the 22nd of May already scheduled it is about another 9 or 10 added on to that

which I've not scheduled them yet so that'll take me to the end of the month May and by the end of this month I could be up to July because they do take a bit of time and now I'm in a position where it's not just the case of downloading the podcast episode and then converting that into a video which takes time in itself I also have to do editing on the podcast episode to make the sound better so I'm edited in editing it in the Adobe or what's it called anyway the the audio editing

software to get rid of background sound like hissing and stuff like that because the recordings I'm now turning into video I think predating the decent equipment I think so I don't know I'm not a hundred percent sure yeah because I did I did have the microphone the other microphone but I was using it with the iPad I think I lose track to be honest with you and because the ones I'm uploading are whisper recordings I think I've jacked up the the volume level in the past when I when I've released them I jacked them up

so high that this you can hear a lot like background sound just it's not even background sounds such as the birds singing in the trees and the rustling of the wind nothing like that it's more just staticky kind of sound so I figured out how to reduce that quite easily in the editing software there's some other stuff I can do as well but I'm keeping it very very basic for now as I'm learning this stuff and and then so that this is a fair bit more to it now to instead of just it's not a

huge amount but it's sometimes I just oh oh I can't be bothered you know it's just so I've got to go through that and I'll do that then I got to do that then I got to do that then I got to do that and I got to do that and it's like oh oh but now I'm starting to hear how the recordings are sounding better it makes me realize that I'm probably gonna need to go back and edit some of my older recordings to improve the sound but then on the other side of things

on the podcasts chances are that they're not being listened to anyway because there's so much stuff been done since so they're they're almost a bit lost really hmm so I don't know I mean I was gonna have I was gonna have a few I was gonna have lots of things let's get us had some ideas and then I stopped and then I undid what I did and now I'm thinking I wish I wish I kind of left what I'd undid and redo what I'd undid undid what I'd done so I'm thinking maybe I might do

the thing is right what I was gonna do was have and this wouldn't work they're just the reason it wouldn't work but I was gonna have a different podcast well that could work thinking about it I suppose and if I just use it as a playlist and added it into a page anyway I'll tell you what I'll tell you what I was gonna do I was gonna have a different playlist or a different podcast for each month of each year per podcast sound like there's more to come to that sentence per podcast and that was

the end of the sentence so for example okay let's use this this podcast as an example the let me bore you to sleep and by the way I changed the cover the podcast image is changed and I'm not sure whether I should have done that or not I might maybe I need to put it back to how it was because some people might not be able to find it now because it's changed but I thought it'd be nice because now I've got a picture of Vinnie lying on his back asleep and I've also added a

picture of Andre also lying in the same basket with him like just super superimposed but just you know added it to it and I thought it'd be a nice picture but I'm not sure because the other one was quite bright it was yellow and there's a picture of a baby sleeping and it was you know it was a nice picture I like this picture better because it's more personal to me but I don't know let us know what you think because I don't want people to how many people listen to a podcast because of the

image of the podcast I don't know I didn't know we're definitely not going to listen for the content so I thought for example this podcast of having its own website or having this all on my website on the one website and having links so you could basically go through each year from 2018 when I started this podcast until now 2020 50 whoever is and then just put in the month so each year have the month of the year click on the month and I'm pretty sure I started in February 2018 something like February 29th is

a made-up it's not a made-up date but it might be because there might only be 28 days in February I really don't know I can't remember so I there is there's actually a rhyme isn't there about the how many months in a year and how many dates days in a in a month in a week or whatever but I didn't go to school that day I missed it it's amazing amount of people that will actually just do the rhyme to you like well don't know how many months from April April June and November February March

fourth and 735 92 like well I don't know I'm not gonna remember that the same as if you say oh I say oh the neighbor next door what's her name oh you mean Tracy I don't know her name I've just told you don't know her name but her name's Tracy I still don't know her name I'm not gonna remember it when I said I don't know her name it means I don't know her name you know I mean you mean Tracy no I don't like I'm not gonna remember people's names why would I remember her

name I was just distressed that's weird who remembers does does anyone remember anyone does anyone anyone ever ever ever ever ever ever I wonder what's TV guy that's it okay so I'm just um I am focusing on what I'm I am honest I really am I've never focused more in my life 630 I thought there might be some boxing and but there might be oh what's that dream flight I thought was a dream fight okay seven stateside live well there is some boxing it's a fight from a few weeks ago so I'll stick that on

oh no it's not it's an older fight still a good fight though but I know there I know the result because I watched it before okay anyway so what I thought about doing there's two things are for well there's a few things I thought about doing but if I did it on my website the Jason new land dot-com what I thought about doing was as I put in having just links that you can click on to go you got the actual podcast and you can watch you know episodes whatever the latest episodes and you can

skip down and but it can't it doesn't from what I've looked at and I've played around with a website it doesn't go all the way down to the bottom it doesn't doesn't include every single episode on the podcast because it's too many and it's reading the RSS feed from the podcast host and that's basically just what RSS stands for ready steady spit I don't know I don't know what it's really sexy semolina I don't know see no I don't know I don't know what it stands for but it basically is if you've got a podcast

you've got the URL which is the you know the web address at the top of the you know when you put a web address in HTTP or www dot whatever but what the RSS code is normally quite often just the same address and then a forward slash RSS or dot RSS or something like that and it read it just sends the information from the podcast host the original place where it lives in my case it's Spreaker and then it sends it to the website but it doesn't appear to so it updates automatically that's another good

thing so I don't have to go on to the website every day and update the newest recordings it automatically updates so that's that saves me a fair bit of time every day because that's something that I would have to do I didn't to be fair of my other podcast I didn't always update regularly so I'd leave it you know I'd leave it maybe five six days and I'd have like just huge amounts of work to do just to embed the podcast player and to make a new page and all that stuff well I don't need

to do that with this because it's all done it's automatically done that's good for each each podcast and the overall podcast on the first page well because you can't listen you can you can but it's you'd have to go to you'd have to find one of the podcast places that has all of the recordings now Spreaker does but most people that listen to my podcasts would listen on one of the one of the many brilliant wonderful podcast apps such as Apple podcasts Spotify there's loads loads as far as I'm aware I'm on pretty much all

of them but I might not be you know there might be some I mean some just add me some apps just and websites they just add me anyway I mean audible advertises me which is kind of I don't know not strange I mean I'm you know thankful to them but I've seen adverts it actually has added at the top you know so you know it's an advert so I'm not making it up and then advertising my relaxation podcast so yeah I mean I don't even know if I really get many downloads from from audible I'm

not even sure so sources sources yes I got Apple podcasts Spotify pod bean ATC I don't even know what that is cast box podcast addict stitcher VLC again I'm not sure who they are Amazon music audible Google podcasts overcast I heart radio Spreaker so see how far down Spreaker is on the list and then my website and in generic Android app Alexa media player tuning radio a tenor pod lav F and other I mean that's the last 30 days and the percentage is Apple podcasts is 92.

99% Spotify 1.

49% I mean it's without Apple podcasts Wow I don't know what I would do I don't have hardly any listeners and I don't do understand genuinely don't understand why I don't have more on Spotify it's one of those it's just one of those weird weird things I mean over the last 12 months I've had 90% Apple podcasts so it's it's less over the whole year but it's still still you know the majority and of course I love Apple podcasts for it however I'd like to it be nice to reach more of the other places as

well oh well never mind so I think see I'm not sure because I don't know I don't know because some some places you you put the stuff onto Apple podcast I'm sure that you should use the URL from Apple podcast so they can go on to other to share so even if it's on an app called Silly Billy podcast app but because the link is from Apple maybe it goes to Apple but then wouldn't that work the same way with Spreaker but it doesn't hmm curious and curious so I thought about maybe having month the

year and then the month and then break the month into the four different versions of the recordings that I do so the one without music one with background music five hour and ten hour so that that's an hour to break out into four for each month for playlists or for podcasts for different podcasts now I think the four different podcasts is it's not doable simply because it would cost a lot of money I don't think I'd even have I mean I've worked this out before haven't I I think maybe doing it I don't I might

not done it while I'm talking before but you think 12 12 months yeah 12 months times by four is that right so it's 48 12 months times by four so we 48 podcasts no yeah 12 times by four that's for each year and then there's six years for 2018 19 20 21 22 and now we're into 23 so it's six years times that by six 288 different podcasts per year not per year 288 per podcast just bang the microphone then so yeah it's not really very doable and that's 288 per podcast is that right yeah

288 per podcast and I've got 10 let's say 10 podcasts I mean it's impossible it's not impossible but it's huge amounts of work huge huge so the only other way of doing it would be to have individual dates and make pages or do something like that where I go into each podcast on Spreaker find the episode which is a chore in itself sometimes it really is this takes a while because they're not just in order because it's searching for stuff that's out of thousands of recordings and then I can embed that episode into the page

on a website and then just go through every recording I've ever done well for the last five years and go through each podcast and it will take if it's done by the end of the year I'll be doing well and bearing in mind I'm continuously adding new stuff as well yeah I don't know and some might some people might say well why bother why bother but I guess my my thinking is well it's a shame to have all that stuff all that old material to just not be heard or not not not necessarily not be

heard but to not be available to not for people not to even know that it exists or that it's available you know just just so it's there for those that perhaps would like to listen to some of the older stuff the someone that maybe wants to listen to a recording from 2021 or 2020 well let's have a listen of January 2020 before the world win a bit weird not that it's it's always been a bit weird but you know let's go right at the beginning of January 2020 I think I started that year off doing

an interview with Edini I think I did yeah I'm pretty sure I was sitting over there I did a live stream on YouTube with him I think I did did I do a live stream I can't remember anyways it's um it's no it's not on my YouTube channel but it's on his YouTube channel why is it not on my YouTube channel I wonder what happened to it I might delete it by accident but it's on Edini's YouTube channel anyway it is it is it is it is let's have a look Edini where's okay let's have

a look I'll turn the volume down oh yeah it's about to talk oh it's got a little puppy in the gym oh the little puppy it's tiny little he's absolutely tight the size of Andre oh oh okay anyway so let's all look Edini that's strange why is it doing that oh Edini five subscribers I think I'm spelling his name wrong if I put in hypnosis then the correct one will come up Edini 76 okay Edini 76 and his last video was eight months that was a message from his wife just have a look oh it's

not allowing me to you know what maybe maybe she's taking it off three years ago she might have taken off maybe she didn't like it or didn't want it on there because it's his wife's gonna have access it doesn't look like the video is still on there oh it is it is it's got a thousand views so it's this nice most popular video but four years ago mine is the head in headline my New Year's interview with fellow hypnotist Jason Newland enjoy 1st of January 2019 Wow he's weird okay let's have a look not he's

weird his is something that's strange oh right I can't go back to the beginning this is Jason Newland interviewing the hypnotist and magician Edini Straught-Draught due to technical issues thanks should have been like it's good it's too quick I can't read stuff it's too quick oh well yeah I just thought I'd share that with you so it's the was that the first or the 31st was it New Year's Eve or New Year's Day I forget it was such a long time ago that I looked Jase is you interview did it have the date on it

this is interview 1st of January 2019 blimey so what's what's it now to 1920 21 22 23 so it's over four years ago blimey did you work that out all by yourself yeah I did yeah over four years I know it's a it's a very strange very strange four years so I um I don't know how I ended up talking about that how did I end up talking about that I really don't know but going back to yeah it's like old stuff this is is it redundant after a certain period it's not like it's food

in the fridge that's gone off it's not it's not you know it's not a tray of eggs that are six years old and I okay we need to maybe not eat them I mean I imagine an egg would turn into a tree by after four or five years wouldn't it I don't know what they turn into I'm not sure but I just in some ways probably some of my best recordings were yeah some of the best ones I've ever done might be back in 2020 or 2019 maybe 2018 there might be recordings that were really

good back then I don't know because it's hard for me to judge because well firstly I never listened back to anything um especially not really now I listen a little bit you know when I'm doing the editing but it's I don't have to listen back to the whole thing like I used to well I never really used to either but there were times when I have to listen to the whole thing because I have to edit continuously to get rid of weird sounds but now well I got to the most of the time I just

left the weird sounds in to be honest it got a little bit it's I think I worked it out years ago that it takes for every one minute of recording you to edit takes about four maybe five probably about four minutes per minute of recording to edit that's how long it seemed to take me and it was partly because I keep going backwards and forwards and sometimes I'd lose my space and there are ways around that you can mark if you're using decent software you can mark the space and but you know and then sometimes

I'd be using I used to use audacity which was a free a free editing software well it's free recorder as well I used to use it to record and it's probably the most popular recording platform probably in the world actually like online it's used by millions of people I'm pretty sure still and it's free although I did pay for I did pay for a paid version paid for a paid version a premium version I actually paid for a disk this is years ago when remember when laptops and computers used to allow you to put disks

in them I'm not talking about floppy disks although I do remember then I'm talking about disks you know with programs on them and you'd pay money and you'd actually walk home from the shop from pc world or wherever you buy stuff from and you'd have a box and even though you knew all it was inside was a disk you still had something in your hand you travel home on a bus and you knew you had something in your hand I like to have something in my in my hand when I'm on a bus or on

a train or when I'm walking out of a shop I paid money I want to have something in my hand um something that's not gonna get me arrested and so I I I missed those times a little bit because now you just the internet went through a period where you could pay and you download so you pay and download the software and then you'd upload the software onto your computer hard drive and then you'd be able to provide you had the code you could update it whenever needed what now it seems that that's gone that's

kind of gone and it's all about subscription you know paying to use something that you might still download onto your system but it doesn't stay there you only have access to it when the paywall is dropped you know when you paid the subscription and I don't know I kind of preferred I quite there's something about owning something you know just I think this I do I do miss cds I do I do I do I do I do I can't I'm not gonna say that I preferred albums you know like vinyl you know I did

prefer vinyl at the time but I didn't know any different I didn't even know there was anything before vinyl but I think tape recorders were before vinyl weren't they I'm not sure I do know though that my dad had these old I don't know the eight track tapes and they were the size like cartridges they would like the old computer video game cartridges the Atari cartridges those kind of size and he'd put it in and they were really well I thought it was good quality sound and that was I think that's the kind of tapes

they had before tapes but I might be wrong but they definitely had them and they were from the 60s maybe even the 50s I don't know and I used to I think I got my first record player when I was about probably nine or ten and I loved the recorder the record player rather I liked it because before that I did have tape a tape recorder and the tape play you know just not not the portable ones but I had just you know the I don't know what they're called but you know the ones that

you could record on but you could play but you could also record the just the flat ones with the buttons at the front yeah I used to I had loads of them over the years I don't know if you can buy them anymore I'm not sure anyway I thought um when I yeah when I first got a record player I loved it loved the smell and it had one of those it was given to me as an old one I mean they're all old now but at the time it was old and it was probably

10 maybe 20 years old it was proper a bit of an antique if I had it now if I had it here on my lap right now I probably wouldn't move it because it's a bit heavy and I said it'll be in the way um but I remember the it's a weird noise what was causing that noise I saw a hedgehog last night I didn't know it's a hedgehog well I was I did know hedgehog eventually because I've just told you it was a hedgehog but I was walking it might not I think it was

last night walking to the petrol station with Vinnie and there was this noise and Vinnie he hears everything and he's really grabbed his attention really did and he said what's that and I said uh wow you can talk now he said what's what's that noise he looked over and I couldn't see all I could see I could hear rustling and it was a food little food bag like that has snacks crisps or I guess something like that um potato chips you know whatever you call them I couldn't see it very well I mean it's a

very well lit area apart from the bit that I couldn't that isn't very well lit that was more the other side of the fence and there's no lights there it is I guess it's it's sort of it's it's a part that leads to the field so Vinnie wanted to have a little look so I kind of just walked with him over and then he whistled then you hear that oh Vinnie walked I I walked walked anyway yes so we walked over to the thing and I didn't know what it was I actually thought that the

packet was alive it was just it had come to life and I what oh wow no one's gonna believe us I said to Vinnie no one's gonna believe us and he said don't you mean no one's gonna believe you I said what you think I believe you over me he said no I'm a dog no one's gonna I'm not gonna be telling anyone am I because I can't I can't talk but dog and I said we've already done that joke about you not being able to talk to your dog and he said it wasn't a

joke I mean I was being serious I said yeah but this is getting silly now isn't it I mean you you're telling me how you can't talk yet you're telling me that you can't talk he said yeah but it's not real though is it I said can we just move on he said but you haven't told a story yet okay honestly there was it was a hedgehog and I realize I've told you the ending of the story but I already told you that at the beginning of the story it's not a very exciting ending is

it really when you already know what the ending is to start with but I just felt I needed to tell you it really felt important it felt important I it was weird though just really it was freaky seeing this this bit of rubbish moving around on its own and it wasn't moving around on its own but it looked like it was moving around on its own but because it wasn't although I mean you know things do move around they look like they're moving around on their own you know if it's windy or something like that

and it was quite windy last night I don't know about you but the way you are but it's been quite windy not so much today but these last few days it's been windy and rainy and a basic spring weather really in the UK of England on the island of England on the island of Britain it's it's been but it changes that's the thing in April like the same as in March to be fair even February we can have the most beautiful even January or December I won't go any I won't go through every month because

I don't know I don't remember them all but you we can have the most beautiful days I mean literally people will walk around in their t-shirts in the middle of winter because it's not cold it might be fresh but it might be almost like summer sunny blue sky I don't personally walk around with a t-shirt because I have a ginormous belly but yes I was gonna say that's part of the reason that's the only reason which is ironic because in the past I didn't used to wear a t-shirt because I was too skinny I used

to think I was too skinny now to have a little bit of that skinniness wouldn't be nice although I don't really want to be and I call myself skinny I don't call other people skinny I do call myself skinny not now because I'm I'm not but I always wanted to be bigger and now I am bigger not so much do I want it it's a little I'd like to just be a little bit less little a little bit less to cuddle a little bit less to love just a little bit just a few pounds a

few pounds a few hundred pounds maybe half a stone half a stone just because I've not gone I mean I was a hunter if I could get down to 90 kilos but I'm kind of struggling I'm seem to be stuck at 96 kilos and I did get down to 94 kilos in the end of July last year so I'm not sure I'm not sure and I haven't weighed myself this week I'm not really into weighing myself all the time because I don't think it's I mean it's not unhealthy for me because I don't have an

issue like that but it's still if you do it every day you don't notice any change really because it's so marginal it's so slight but over two weeks it could be you know if I lose two pounds let's say or three pounds over over two weeks that's like wow that's good but I'm not going to notice it going off if I weigh myself every day and I've never weighed myself every day in my entire life I've never been that interested in my weight even when I wanted to be heavier I still would only weigh myself

like once a week or once every two weeks if I was on a diet trying to put weight on it never worked it didn't who'd have thought all I had to do you know I was trying to eat and eat healthy and you know train if only I'd known all I had to do was eat a bunch of crap and watch television all day if I'd known that if sit down do no exercise drink coke eat cakes and chocolate bars it's all I had to do I don't do any of that well I don't sit

watch and telly all day I haven't had one chocolate bar since I had that medical thing a couple of months ago with my blood pressure or whatever it was that caused it so I haven't had a chocolate bar but I have had biscuits and cookies that sometimes have chocolate in them I want to say sometimes I mean when I say I sometimes have them and sometimes I have chocolate in them what I really mean is I'm always eating them and they always have chocolate in them apart from the ones that don't ginger nuts I love

a bit of ginger always been partial to a bit of ginger and of course there's no chocolate in a ginger nut apart from when there is because I just remembered because I did get some ginger these ginger biscuits that had chocolate on them I'm basically trying to find new ways of eating chocolate without buying chocolate bars I think they're getting one of those fountains those fountains and maybe having it and attaching it to the shower so I can have a shower and drink chocolate you know like those you know those fountains they have at funerals

or weddings or whatever and have it sprinkling down so I could just have the chocolate I imagine my skin would be a bit of a mess but oh unless chocolate's good for your skin I don't know I've heard a lot of uh fallacies over the years about what's good for my skin yeah you know I realized after a while I'm not going to believe all of this stuff it doesn't sound like it'd be good for my skin I don't want that on my face thank you very much it's the one thing what is it um

cucumber on your eyes now I used to do that I thought I didn't need to at the time because I didn't oh I was young I didn't I didn't look old didn't look like an old pensioner like I do now and the reason I look like an old pensioner is because I am an old pensioner I'm old I'm an old man now an old man but when I was younger I didn't need to put cucumber on but I did and now I need to I don't it's ironic isn't it I mean I realize why people

do put cucumber in their eyes because who'd want to eat this stuff but then after saying that I actually am a fan of cucumber because it's pretty much like 99.

9 percent water and I like water I really do it's nice it makes me happy I've tried a few different things on my face over the years they're supposed to be good for you and I've tried mud not mud mud but I've started to see mud mud glorious mud nothing quite like it for cooling your blood it's like mud packs you know you buy in health stores or whatever I have tried that maybe I should try it again but I could never find one that came off like an easter egg perhaps I should explain that

I've seen people in movies on television and stuff and they cover their face in mud what a mud pack and then it dries and they put it off and it's kind of the shape of their face and that's what I wanted to do but I never found one that did that it was just all slimy and sticky and I remember seeing my my step-mom well I don't remember seeing her I see what I saw quite often because I used to live with her for 12 years no eight years nine years but I came home one

day and she was sitting down see I didn't know that she'd put a face she just had a facial so I should explain that it's um she had this it was a face mask but I didn't know at the time I didn't know that you could have a facial that wasn't brown brown but I thought it I thought mud I thought facials were always when I was a kid this is I thought they were always mud packs I didn't know that you could get ones that um were clear that basically you peeled off and that's

freaky to see I still it's it's like sun um a suntan wearing off or sunburn wearing off and then peeling the skin off but seeing that on someone's face very I don't know strange but that's not what freaked me out is I walk into the house not knowing she just had a a facial and I'm not sure she did herself or if my dad gave it to I don't know um I imagine you can do that yourself can't you just put it on but I don't know it sounds like quite a nice thing for couples

to do together doesn't it so um I come home I think I've been to karate I think it's been to karate and so it was about like uh nine o'clock at night or something like that I come in and she's sitting there this is my little brother's mum she's sitting there staring at me and I said all right mum because I used to call her mum and I suppose it really needs to explain that you probably weren't thinking I was talking to the cat did you like so you're talking to the cat no you can't

probably figured what I was okay I'll move on so I said hello mum and she's like I mean literally and she her face didn't move I mean normally it did I mean it didn't move around a lot but you know she had an expressive face like most humans do and but she was just staring not staring at me but just it's like her face was stuck you know they said like a face was stuck in a fart kind of that's not a good expression um she just wasn't making any expressions she's almost like when you

pause a video I mean in days when you well okay you pause a video on YouTube it was like that depending on it providing you're watching a video of my step-mum sitting on a stool then it's like that and she was just looking at me and she was nodding her head and I thought what have I done now she's she's she's she's found my magazine collection again it's like I thought I'd be safe hiding them under her bed but no it's like no it wasn't anything like that she I really didn't know what was going

on and I've already told you what it was she had a face mask on she had a facial and it was basically it was clear so I couldn't see any lumps or blobs or anything and it wasn't brown so it wasn't like a mud pack facial but I'd never seen her put one on it was shiny as well so she looked a little bit like an android out of a horror movie I mean she didn't look like a horror she didn't look like a monster she was a very beautiful woman but she looked she had

that kind of um do you know this sort of skin you see on androids in some of the older movies where they're very pale or not necessarily pale but shiny a bit like the android from next generation star trek he had kind of shiny skin even though he was was he blue or green green blue something like that there was that gloss glossiness that she didn't normally have and I really didn't know what to make of it now I didn't know whether to just ignore it part of me wanted to get my nunchucks out of

my bag and you know because I didn't know whether or not she turned into a an alien or an alien that took over her body because those are those this is the times when we had um the body snatcher movies out you know where the and they are the triffids and you know uh weird weird movies where people were taken over by aliens and they were they were just going around their business but they were they were not the same person but they looked the same and I thought maybe she'd been taken over by an

alien which is the normal conclusion to come to I do believe let me say I was young I was I was only 32 so I just thought I'd get my nunchucks out so when I say nunchucks it's not a euphemism this is I actually had nunchucks because I did karate not that I didn't use nunchucks at karate but it's a standard thing for a kid but it was back then I don't know these days because I'm not really in with the kids I don't know what people do anymore I don't know what anyone does anymore

because I rarely leave my home I am a hermit no a hermit travels hermits actually travel don't they I'm not a hermit yeah hermits go outside um I'm a secluse recluse something like that anyway it's not about me I it's not about me and I start the next sentence with I I used to carry my nunchucks around with me going to karate because but I wasn't the only one I mean my my instructor my karate instructor used to bring swords with him and he used to get there early and he'd practice his swords like his

cat is the form you know with his sword that's kind of just practicing different moves and I'd always be there early I'd be one of the earliest people there and quite often before they'd even opened the school because it was in the gym at not my high school but at the high school where both my brothers went and I liked that school because it's the only school I ever went to that I liked the reason I liked it is because I didn't have to do with teachers not that I've got an issue with teachers I

just wasn't a big fan of the ones that it wasn't actually they weren't a big fan of me for some reason I was I think I was a little bit annoying a little bit very much I don't know but I found something out last night talking to a family member I found some stuff out about my past which explains some stuff I can't go into it unfortunately why did you mention it then well I just just I'd love to tell you honestly I really would but this is private I mean you might think well what's

private some of the stuff I've talked about but this is like proper it is not about it is about me but it's not about not just about me you know and I'd like to talk about it I'd like to have someone to talk about it too and but yeah you never know one day I might I might get myself back to counselling I've been to counselling for years I enjoyed that even though I know you're not supposed to go to counselling therapy for enjoyment for pleasure but I don't know I quite like the the opportunity

to talk I guess it's hard to believe that I enjoy talking isn't it but anyway so I had an unchucks and it was really weird it's only at the time I didn't know that she'd had a facial okay so I didn't know that her face was covered but the reason she was keeping still she told me afterwards after she peeled her skin off which wasn't the greatest thing considering I just thought that maybe she'd been taken over by a by an alien and that was loud I thought she'd been taken over by an alien I

thought nah just silly and then she starts peeling her skin off I mean that was just like what she's a reptilian she oh yeah and this is at the time when V remember the TV show V back in the 80s that was when that was on and they used to pull their faces off so they'd have a they'd have like a human face and then pull it off because it was just a mask and underneath there were reptiles like frogs or whatever which probably is where the reptilian thing comes from with conspiracy theorists and that

you know but they did do a remake of V a few years back I watched a couple of episodes of it but I remember seeing it for the first time it was freaky it was it was good I really liked it a lot but it was very freaky so I thought that she was one of them like she's gone she's pulled her face so she was next to gonna pull her head off but she didn't I mean obviously she didn't because she she wasn't an alien um very strange indeed it was a confusing time for

me yes weird I haven't really thought about that memory for some while I don't know what got me thinking what did I say that triggered that memory anyone anyone I can't I can't really think um no I don't know how I I came over that subject how did I come onto her face being having a mask on I mean I can't I know sometimes I come on to talk about karate and come on to do various different subjects and come on to boxing like that's something that I do quite a lot because I think I

might have talked about it during this podcast episode so I come on to boxing sometimes and sometimes I come on to talk about books or sometimes I come on to come on I've done over nearly a thousand recordings of this podcast and I can't think of one thing that I've spoken about I mean what did I there's various subjects I come on to but I don't know what caused me to come on to my step-mom's face I don't know it was just freaky because because she was a very chatty person just a very friendly person

so to come in and see her like that just looking at me and not being able to talk I didn't realize she could talk but she didn't want to break the mask that's what she said she didn't want to ruin because it was when I walked in she was in the process of letting the stuff set so the facial was setting into her skin to because it doesn't it like working to purify the skin or I don't really know how it works but she was letting it dry that's it letting it dry and then she

started peeling it off but I think she'd she'd let it dry for a while and it was she was just in the the last little period she had her last period of letting the facial dry I think she might have threw it down a piece of paper because I kept saying what what is it what you okay you yeah I think she had a piece she got a piece she'd like did some like with her hands get get a pen get a piece of paper nothing she said get a piece of paper so I got

a piece of paper and then she she said get a pen like she didn't do a sign language I'm doing it sign language now well I'm not because it's not I don't know sign language I don't know any but I move my fingers around like I do and so I got a pen and paper oh yeah she used to have a pen and paper near the phone because there's a phone in the hallway yeah so there used to be a pen and paper a pad and piece of a pen piece of pen so I used

to get I got I took it over to her so I've been about 15 minutes so I try and what's going on are you okay do what's going on as you're freaking me out and she wrote down and she showed it to me said go away like okay fair enough so um oh yeah she did she wrote she said what wait wait wait I started to walk upstairs wait wait she wrote down another thing said you don't live here anymore I was like what what she said wait wait you moved out 15 years ago and

I said I'm like what it's a wait as she wrote down again I moved to the other side of the country to get away from you how did you find my address so oh blimey this is she's such a joker anyway um oh someone's just slammed the gate that's nice that's it really I think I might I don't know if I've um used my allotted time but this is yeah I think pretty much that's it for me for today I'm gonna upload this and make it available hopefully by about it's quarter to eight in the

evening so it should be the first part of the recording should be available by 10 o'clock tonight in the next hour and a half because I need to edit it and then upload it and then make an image and blah blah blah so it takes a it takes a little while I also need to um stick that in the oven because I'm gonna need to eat but I do want to be in bed by 10 which isn't really 7 45 8 45 like yeah that'll give me enough time to have me dinner and then digest

my food maybe have a poo I don't know I might treat myself to a poo before going to bed um but sometimes it's nice to wake up needing the toilet it's like it's it's okay needing a wee and that's boring but sometimes I need to poo it sometimes feels like a little holiday you know just feels a bit different it's like oh this is nice this is probably the next best thing to poo in someone else's toilet you know anyway I won't talk about that subject because that's weird you know I mean I like to

try and keep things normal so I'm gonna go thank you very much for listening remember remember to be kind to yourself because you deserve to be happy and be gentle with yourself and also if there's something that you really enjoy doing regardless you know it doesn't have to cost money just there's something you like doing whether it's watching a movie or just going for a walk or having a early night or having a bath or whatever um maybe just treat yourself okay lots of love bye oh I can fart now I can't believe I've been

waiting all that time just to fart
