Yeah, so if anyone doesn't know what this is, how best to explain? Not sure. Not sure. Um, it's just basically a regular podcast where I just talk and that's kind of it really.
I'll be honest, that's that's I don't know what it's supposed to be boring. It's supposed to well ideally ideally help you relax physically help you to relax mentally help your mind to slow down even if it's just because you're focusing like a distraction I guess it can be a distraction but not a very exciting distraction so you know if you wanted to relax or you wanted to be distracted you could of course watch a movie like a horror movie or some kind of action-packed movie or listen to some heavy metal music some really fast rock and roll music. Now that may well relax you.
We're all different aren't we but freak no I'm joking I'm joking yeah what you know watching the exorcist oh did you like were you scared no I was so chilled oh so relaxed now like what really so yeah um I it's a different kind of distraction it's a distraction that will possibly bore your mind in a way that your mind starts to hopefully slow down but also also could find yourself drifting because I may not be saying anything that you're particularly interested in hearing everything I say is super interesting to me which is why I
do these recordings because I know that it's boring for other people so you know it's and you know what the way I don't see it as an insult and I think other people shouldn't either really so if you're absolutely you know you just trying to think okay let's say you absolutely adore star wars like everything about star wars you know you're you're a complete huge fan have been since she was a little child and you just love everything you know every every every movie even the ones from the 90s you love the you know the
the middle three you love the tv shows the you the merchandise uh maybe you even go to conventions you know it might be like a huge thing for you now good for you because having something you love is it makes a huge difference I think to your life I'm not talking about loving a person having a hobby or a passion is I just think it's really important for everyone if they can find something that they just love doing that they're interested in the and that interest yeah maybe at times it might fade a little bit
but you keep coming back to it and you keep getting that excitement I'll be like that with chocolate and porn so I was thinking if you um are in that way like you love star wars the fact is there's going to be people out there that think it's the most boring thing in the world I'm not one of those people by the way I like star wars I like the first three movies and the last three movies plus uh the you know the other movies what's his name Han Solo that movie as well I didn't
like the middle three it just is I don't know why I found it a bit I just didn't enjoy them I'm just gonna put how many movies were there six isn't it seven including star wars movies I know they've had spinoffs and stuff the star wars see when I watched star wars as far as I was concerned it was episode one not episode iv the empire strikes back wasn't episode two but it wasn't episode uh five it was episode two return of the jedi was episode three and that was it we never heard anything about
it after that you know star wars was done that was in 1983 and then 1999 episode one comes out and then episode two you've made some weird noises down there Vinnie then episode three so I got like what are you talking I don't know maybe what was I 1999 I was probably 18 at the time and no I wasn't 18 28 get it together 28 and I just refused refused to call it episode one I'd seen episode one and that was star wars I just happened to have not noticed it was it said episode three
or episode four rather iv whatever that is you know the romans left about what two thousand years ago we don't need to use no roman numerals anymore I really don't we can just use three we have numbers I think it's universal as well I mean roman numeral what what's that all about what's about the romans yeah the romans they're gone you know it's it's a dead language well it's not a dead language because I think do they speak it in rome I don't know it's the pope of roman I don't know okay and then and
then the force awakens 2015 great movie and then 2017 the last jedi great movie now in between that you've got the rogue one a star wars story 2016 didn't what I've watched a bit of it could be bothered so I guess I'm not like the biggest fan in the world but I just and then the rise what is that the last one the rise of skywalker 2019 now it was I think the weird thing about it because the last film didn't have what's the name in it star wars moves in release date order star wars
the force awakens the rise of skywalker why are they not even mentioning oh they are like and or what about the one about what's his name solo not even mentioning solo was it not part of the star wars thing is that like a on its own movie and they're just not accepting it I refuse to accept even though it was a good movie well I liked it wow there's lots of tv shows as well solo a star wars story 2018 2018 see I liked the last three movies plus the solo one not as much as
I probably liked the first three that I saw when I was a kid you know star with the first star wars episode one my version of episode one a new hope because it used to I'm sure it was called a new hope it didn't they didn't call it episode four pretty sure they didn't original star wars poster let's see if it did or not images original star wars poster okay let's have a look at this original star wars poster star wars that's what it says star wars no nothing about episode four just star wars okay
star wars let's have another one from 1977 nope star wars no new hope no star wars episode four nope just star wars I'm guessing they didn't know they were going to make another one yep another one star wars they love reinventing the history people don't they so you know you look at the video covers or dvd covers or whatever the movie covers and it says new hope didn't have that on the original stuff and I'm pretty sure quite a few people listening to this were around old enough in 1977 to have watched star wars when
it first came out I was it was a family film really it wasn't adult or anything it was a little bit you know Darth Darth Vader was a bit scary did I say a little bit scary Darth Vader was very scary very very scary now I know in the beginning star wars it has the you know new hope or whatever I didn't read that once upon a time in a long in a distance long ago that's as far as I read and I thought no if I wanted to I'd have brought a book with me
if I wanted to read in a cinema and it wouldn't be the kind of book that I would be allowed to read in a cinema I don't know what that does even mean I was seven years old this is a silly sentence what I mean it'd be a pop-up book and it'd have little tunes and stuff because I was a little kid very young yep so no new hope none of these star wars original posters had episode four nope just star wars see rewriting history rewriting everything I think star wars is one of those movies
that does kind of need to be seen on the big screen as opposed to saying it needs to be seen on the big screen I'm agreeing with it I saw I saw I definitely saw the Return of the Jedi on a video and we watched it on a little telly during sunday dinner it wasn't a very good copy let's just say that it wasn't the greatest copy so that was I've seen it a few times since so it was exciting but at the same time you don't you can't get really the the visual effects or
the the fun of all of the stuff that happens on a tiny telly compared to like a I guess a cinema or because back then we didn't use we didn't have big TVs we had TVs that were bigger than the small ones but I don't know how big the TV was that we had it was it wasn't small but they weren't flat screen like they are now they were bulky and they you know the biggest screen was the bigger the back was you'd have to have it about six feet away from the wall because otherwise
it would touch the wall a huge thing huge but that's how it was back then I mean I reckon and this isn't even like a futuristic thing this is happening now I reckon TVs will just be the thing of the past in in the next 10 years there'll be no televisions I don't think it will just be projection onto a wall from your phone or from your tablet or from your watch or whatever it'll just be a gadget and it just like project it onto the wall for you that'll be it and people will use
it or maybe there'll be a a screen on the wall that's just blank nothing there and it's used for everything internet used for you know but I know you can get projectors well I know that because I was I've watched movies on projectors over 10 years ago but now they're really super duper whooper whooper ones so at the moment I think they cost more than televisions like the good ones the really top notch so I reckon in 10 years there'll be no televisions well there will be televisions but people that I don't know I guess
what people who still have televisions you know some people won't want to change and I quite in a way I quite like having a television you know I've always grown up I've the television's been in my life my whole my whole life been in my life my whole life so I might be one of the one of those that kind of rejects technological advances in that particular domain but I did that with DVDs so I held on to videos for as long as I could I literally was probably one of about three people left in
the whole country that used to rent videos from blockbusters when 90% 95% of the films to rent were on DVD actually 90% 5% were on blu-ray never really took off did it blu-ray never really never really I don't know why why didn't it take off I don't know why should we check the what does the internet say why is blu-ray so crap now why did blu-ray never become popular why well it's not as popular as DVDs why is blu-ray not popular why didn't blu-ray take over DVDs someone's asked here most people don't care about video
quality enough to care said somebody that's a bit snidey isn't it most people don't care about video quality well DVDs are pretty good quality you know I mean for me the quality is more about the television than the the DVD was maybe it's not and someone's put people flocked to DVD because it was noticeably better than VHS the quality difference difference from VHS to DVD is impressive the quality between DVD and uh blu-ray is not noticeable enough for people to pay the difference the price is yes I'm getting an impression that on the internet from
the internet that it's about price there are a few reasons why blu-ray technology never really took off firstly the cost of blu-ray players and discs was quite also quite high so many people stuck with DVDs instead secondly streaming services like Netflix became very popular so people didn't need to buy or rent physical discs anymore are DVDs even a can you still buy DVDs are they can you buy DVDs a DVD sort of I don't know because blockbusters isn't around where can I buy DVDs DVDs so so there's a job lot here on eBay 100 DVDs

99 used really you mean there's not 100 brand new ones and I wouldn't buy used DVD well I've bought used DVDs in the past and they've been scratched well thanks for that little shaky ears there whoops you know what this little monkey here Vinnie Vinnie the what kind of dog is he bull terrier bull terrier not bull terrier butch oh I don't know he's he's a dog and Jack Russell that's it oh Jack Russell you know the name Jack Russell I try and put his lead he's got this um luminous high-viz I don't know harness
thing um can you make a bit more noise please yeah thanks so I've got this high-viz thing for him he won't let me put it on him he refuses we had a standoff today because I needed to take him out and he just would not get on the bed and every time I went to pick him up he ran and I can't catch him he's too fast it's literally too fast for me so he's so little so he can run underneath things and I can't get to him I can't I can't get him I don't
know how I'm gonna have to find a way to train him to want to put it on so that you know to connect going out for a walk with that thing and then I gave up on that I thought well we'll just do he's got a collar with a little you know metal thing so I can just use that I don't need to put the the harness on it's just a bit easier for me because he's a bit easier to maneuver plus I can see him in the dark he's got flashing lights and stuff maybe
he's humiliated I don't know I think it's once he gets into that mode and it's like turns into a game he wouldn't even let me put the thing on his collar so I couldn't even it took me about half an hour before he eventually gave in and let me put it on him not just just to click onto his collar to take him you know the lead to take him out and then when I took him out he started barking at everything can you hear him what does that remind you of an animal in the
background making noise he loves bones absolutely loves bones he just loves biting he's he's never happier than when he's biting something luckily not me he's trying to break into a bone that's way too big for his mouth blessing I might go to the pet shop tomorrow and get him a fresh bone because those ones were frozen they're fresh but they're frozen and then I'll forward them out for him but I might get him one that's actually fresh fresh but he's only you know he can only eat a little bone because it's tiny tiny little thing
so it'll have to be quite small oh yeah and he started barking we were walking back he started barking at some in the front garden of someone's house it wasn't late I mean it was about an hour ago so it's 10 past 10 now so it's just after nine o'clock so it wasn't like late late I still didn't really want him being loud and barking and stuff at that time of night but he started barking I'm like what are you barking at and I thought maybe there was a cat in the garden and you know
he was like getting excited it wasn't it was a statue of Bambi like a concrete statue of a of an animal I don't know if it's a Bambi or some kind of horse or something he's basically and I let him go I just go over and see it it's it's a statue and he's looking at me now he barks if he hears barking on the tv he goes ballistic you know earlier I was watching I don't know what it was oh yeah I was watching a film it's a very old film called Passport to Pimlico
it's a old British film from 1940 1949 really good movie really good I was surprised at how good it was it was funny it was just really clever the way they put it together old black and white movie and it was just oh we didn't have color we didn't make color movies yes should we find out when the first color movie was first no why we would I want to know first British okay first color movie made in Britain okay when did color glorious venture it what list of early color films 1912 what 1912 wow
see okay that just shows what I know doesn't it it's a thing here says what what the first color film really is shut up you dog why has he chosen the most noisiest thing to eat I hope listening to a dog eating a bone is relaxing for you because that's what you got I'm afraid he's part of the package now for the next blimey 15 20 years I don't know I don't know 12 15 years I don't know how long so I'll be if I'm 15 years I'll be 77 and no 56 I'll be 67

was the first aha no but that's Snow White was the first full-length color movie with sound yeah that's a cartoon come on or animation if you want to use that word it's not the same as humans is it that's a cop out okay so the Wizard of Oz was 19 was it 19 oh I'm gonna take that bone away from him Vinnie Vinnie Vinnie Vinnie Vinnie Vinnie ignore me please when she stops doing it when I say ignore me listen to me oh stop doing that okay keep doing it keep doing it reverse psychology is
clearly not working on him I wish I had a garden I do have a like a shared garden I can take him in but since Saturday I've just walked down the stairs and he's come with me it's been really good and I go into my friend's flat or go into the garden now today I come out of my friend's flat and someone's walking out of the flat of the front just in slow motion holding the door open and Vinnie runs out of the front door and it's a game again I can't catch him I did
catch him eventually I cornered him I caught him but I was like please don't run in the road it was so I have to have him on the lead I can't just let him I can if there's no one else around so five o'clock in the morning or you know 12 at night it doesn't matter because no one around so when he has his last walk or his first walk in the morning but I had him on the lead anyway so that's that's not really an issue what's he doing now he's I need to post
a picture of this floor it's just a mess there's plastic there's paper strips of paper ripped to bits a cardboard box it's half eaten and now he's looking at the chair like where are you and he looked over oh there you are didn't even realize I'd moved last night he was really good he went to bed and he slept on my bed bless you the night before I had to put him in here on his own and he was fine I just closed the door closed my door and not a peep from him last night
I gave him you know I keep giving him chances like just he's got to learn to notice just to not react to the sounds around just got to get to know the sounds and he's fine last night at least five hours not a peep out of him again he was on my bed the whole time didn't hear him which is really good and today I had a nap in the afternoon and I was lying there I wasn't really asleep for a while I was just lying there I do some of my thinking when I'm lying
down and it's the only thing you know I think for about 30 seconds a day and there was sounds there was kids laughing there was kids screaming you know there's there's lots of kids living around the area and the school was emptying cars pulling up dogs barking and he didn't react to anything so he's getting used to the sounds it's almost like he's not that bothered now if someone knocks on the front door I'm pretty sure nothing's ever going to stop him from barking at that but then a lot of dogs do don't they you
know this is his territory and he's excited probably to see whoever it is he could probably smell them he knows the smell of people doesn't he so he'll know the smell of if he knows the person that is yeah I was watching this movie anyway an advert came on and the weird thing about I don't like this about this a lot of the daytime telly these channels these television channels that probably only a few people a few thousand people are watching there's so many channels now and they haven't got they clearly not got the uh
well they're not getting the adverts because a lot of the adverts are charity adverts and I don't I'm guessing charity adverts don't pay much if anything to be on telly they might pay something but I don't they wouldn't pay they're not they haven't got the money have they to pay like loads of money I'm guessing it's a bit guesswork here so the amount of adverts either charity adverts for various diseases or horrible things going on what you know wanting money to help those people you know it's or it's funeral adverts or insurance adverts or things
like that hello mate hello hey what are you doing hey come on then he wants a cuddle you want cuddles you want cuddles okay you have cuddles so yeah that's one of the things it's just like I'm watching let's say a comedy show and it might be an old tv show or watching minder or something like that from the 80s just I quite like watching stuff like that every now and then and then there'll be the most saddest adverts ever I really love bring my spirits right down really after having a good old laugh at
George and Mildred whatever it is I'm watching ow stop biting me stop it stop listen you've lived here for four days you should listen to everything I say and and respect me are you ever going to respect me you just want to fight why do you want to fight all the time oh what are you doing stop it stop it stop it stop it stop it behave behave behave behave behave yourself kisses okay kisses oh kisses oh thank you you want to get down go on then oh all right he's down now now he's turned
back because he wants to bite yeah he's biting my hand again lovely thank you ow it nips a little bit sometimes you know no do you hear him doesn't like being told no does anybody no his his mum or his previous mum told me put your hand out and say no or uh uh I think I can't remember uh but he stops when you do that so yeah so I'm watching this movie anyway Passport to Pimlico really good film but that's not really about the film during the adverts there was a a charity advert to
save this snow leopard I think it was brilliant charity that's the thing I'm not all well you know charities are charities they're all great and he's uh you know what he's just done I've just heard dragging and I wonder what it is he's eating my underpants not the ones I'm wearing my boxer shorts he's just dragged them in and he's now eating them and when I say eating I'm talking he's ripping into bits he's actually how if you can hear that that's the material that is very weird but it looks like he's actually eating it
he can't eat the material one thing one I don't know if it's funny or disgusting this is both but there's nothing to eat he loves ripping things to pieces he's destroyed a pair of my underpants I don't know if you can hear that it's I'd never thought no I found a pair of my underpants on the floor today it was that same pair I thought no I thought for a second is he had my underpants I thought no I must have just got undressed and chucked them on the floor but I normally chuck them on
the floor in front like at the end of the bed that's where my dirty washing is and I must just get them up put them in the washing machine and hang everything up but when I've done that but you know for a short period of time I can't believe what I'm seeing for a short period of time I have to take them off him there's one thing ripping something up but why would he eat why what unless it's caught on his tooth I think it might be caught on his tooth all right I'm gonna go
and help him I'll help you I'll help you it wasn't caught on his teeth he ran away soon okay he ran away now he's back that is I've lived with dogs you know I've never kind of been the the daddy of a dog before never been a parent of a dog this is the first time I don't know why but I'm kind of surprised by some of the things I'm seeing them do because I have spent a long time with dogs over the years but it's been 25 years since I've spent like every day with
a dog and I forgot how weird they are and it's been a long time since I've been near a puppy I can't believe how strong he is these are I mean think about it these underpants or these boxer shorts they keep my big fat buttocks inside so you think they're quite strong wouldn't you he's ripping them to shreds absolutely wow I'm I don't know what to say or think I'm kind of a bit shocked you better not be eating that you're a bit stupid you don't eat it you can rip it to bits don't eat
it I have to take him off him I can't let him eat eat cotton why would he want to eat material yeah ripping it to bits okay he's teething he's got a couple of baby teeth still I think and he's you know he's he's doing what toddlers do I guess you don't eat it you bite it but I mean that's a new low isn't it really if he'll eat them there's literally nothing in the world he wouldn't eat I mean it's just you've reached your lowest point you've only been here four days wow imagine if
it gets worse this might not be the lowest point this might just be the start oh I have a devil dog wow I just oh and now he's bringing in his he's he's one of his toys that came with him and it's mr snowman or something I think it's called this is one of his favorite toys now he moves it around so he's got it from the bedroom I didn't put it in there so he must have went in there with it so you know he's playing with it I mean Andre used to he used
to love my underpants and socks and stuff like that so he used to ruin some of my clothes he'd adopt stuff like if I had a pair of I remember I had some tracksuit bottoms or sweatpants if you want to call them that and he just took them off my pile of laundry and made a nest just put them behind the door and he used to sleep in the leg of them and I was left it so he had them forever then in fact he used to like to sleep in the dirt he was washing
which you know sometimes I go to do I didn't know where he was and I go to do my laundry and I pick it start picking stuff up and then to be him I just see his little face hidden buried I don't know what he's going to come out of the bedroom with next he's doing something I can hear him it sounds like he's started on something else okay he hasn't brought anything back out good sorry this is probably better with some visuals wouldn't it and now he's just laid down underneath the desk at my
feet and that's it I think he's he's spent he's tired now you're tired you're trying me out I know that much it's amazing let's have a drink I mean those underpants are gonna be so uncomfortable now do you remember do you remember when people used to darn their socks I don't know if they did it where you live in your country but here people used to darn socks basically if there's a hole in the sock they would sew the hole up now I don't know how much socks costed back then but you can get you
know five pairs of socks for three pound or four pounds why would you spend an hour darning a sock it's I mean maybe those socks are very expensive back then maybe they're better quality but if they were such good quality why do they keep having holes in there's questions I have questions what was the first color movie what was the first color movie I just want to know a bit of the UK first color movie made in Britain see it's I put in color but it's trying to change it to color spelt c-o-l-o-r but we
don't spell color like that here we spell it c-o-l-o-u-r I'm not quite sure why it's spelt differently in or I don't know what the original version of it was what would be the point of that spelling it differently it's the same language why I mean either in America they're spelling it different to us or with well we spell it different to them as well but one was first which was I'll find out which was first which was first color uh okay which is correct Grammarly let's have a listen let's see what Grammarly says color oh
you are or color l-o-r what is correct you see others right here the one we've already used is fair when choosing the two spellings differently or we can see that when choosing to be coming in color keep in mind that both spellings are correct okay they're both correct the shorter one c-o-l-o-r is the preferred spelling in the United States the rest of the English speaking world well is c-o-l-o-u-r so I guess that would be the what is the English speaking I guess Canada Australia England parts of Britain and the Falkland Islands I get I don't
know maybe they don't speak English there I'm not sure because it's basically Argentinian it's near Argentina so they may speak Argentinian I don't know I generally do not know um what other countries is there English speaking countries Belgium is no I mean France Germany lots of different countries speak English don't they but there's a second language I'm trying to think some others English because technically I mean Wales has got their own language haven't they is that class as an English speaking language an English speaking country and it is an English speaking country but I'm guessing
everyone can speak English but they do also have their own um language where else New Zealand New Zealand of course New Zealand New Zealand Australia Canada well parts of Canada obviously there's that little part that thinks they're French that is French I mean apart from those that aren't it's uh I don't really know the history of that it's quite a long way isn't it why why is Canada French I don't know what the okay during the 17th century French they're settlers originally mainly from the west and north of France settled Canada that's not even a
full sentence settled Canada it is from then that the French Canadian ethnicity was born during the 17th to 18th centuries French Canadians expanded across North America and colonized various regions cities and towns okay it's uh so basically I suppose in them days settlers just like the world isn't it people would settle in different places and decided that they went from being visitors to we now own everything like humans tend to do we own this land now even though they were just visiting no we're not visiting we're settlers we're settling we comfy now we settled I
wonder who was living there at the time who is is Canada French or British in 1982 it adopted its own constitution it became a completely independent country although it's still part of the British Commonwealth so we haven't had Canada since 1982 apparently a constitutional monarchy that accepts the British monarchy monarch as its own king of Canada Charles the third is king of Canada okay cool why is French spoken in Canada okay there's a few it's mainly English-speaking country huge country Canada I never realized I just always thought and you know I was younger that America
was just huge and Canada was kind of like just a little thing just like a little not a little thing but it's like a little place next to it you know just a bit of land and I didn't realize that it was bigger than America land-wise I mean Canada larger than the USA so Canada has a larger land mass the land area of Canada is three thousand three million eight hundred and fifty five thousand one hundred and three square miles compared to America's three million seven hundred ninety four thousand and eighty three making Canada 1.
6 percent larger than the States not a lot is it really it's not a lot in it but there's a lot in the amount of people that live there so if you go America's about 360 million Canada 38. 25 million roughly so it's what ten percent so it's over nearly two percent bigger than America and it only is like ten percent of the population phenomenal isn't that phenomenal really when you think about it now especially when you consider that Canada 38 million so we have double that more than double that Canada's size compared to UK okay come on here we go according to Canada the country stretched across 3.
8 million square miles which means UK the UK this is the UK the whole of the country the UK could fit into Canada over 40 times yet we have twice the population how isn't that amazing twice the population yet we could fit into Canada 40 times which means Canada's 40 times bigger than us I guess isn't that that makes sense yeah yeah yeah yeah thank you very much wow well you know just in Ontario in Ontario in Canada the size of the UK could fit four times is UK richer than Canada Britain's population holds 9.
24 trillion 6. 01 trillion dollars no pounds and the other one is dollars in private wealth surpassing France Italy Canada and Australia this is despite its relatively small population compared with countries such as Germany which ranked fourth with a total wealth of 9.
36 trillion but and okay let's have a look countries by population I know China and India at the top obviously and where are we wow we're number 21 we're number 21 in the world for population okay so look at land area land area Russia China the United States where are we where are we where are we we're almost oh where are we oh come on come on where are we we've got to be bigger than the falcon islands bigger than Rwanda I thought Rwanda was quite big Sierra Leone United Kingdom come on where's United Kingdom
