Hello and welcome to let me bore you to sleep. My name's Jason Newland and this is my podcast for today. Only listen when you can safely close your eyes.

I wish I had something a bit more original to say than that. And there's a little dog underneath the table eating. What's he eating? A bone.

Eating a bone. Vinnie. Vinnie, what are you doing? I've been waiting ages to be able to do that.

Vinnie. So yeah, I hope it sounds okay. I'm using a different microphone today, please.

Why are you banging it against the desk for? Really? He has to be right close to me for some reason. And it's not a bad thing, you know. He's bonding with me a little bit, but it's better when it's the other side of the room.

The other side of the womb. It's a bit better, you know. Mind you, I'm just thinking about wombs.

Can you imagine what it's like for twins? For those nine months stuck in that same small space for nine months. And then they, like, you imagine after nine months together, literally less than an inch apart, like, for that amount of time. And you finally get released from your sentence.

Really? Come on, mate. Don't do it against the metal. That's it.

That's it. That's better for you. Good boy.

And you finally get released. Really? You do have to put it back to where it was. Little monkey.

You finally get released. And then you get stuck together with that person for the next, you know, basically for the rest of your childhood. They come as a pair, you know.

They're twins. Let's put them in the same room together. Or let's dress them up the same as each other.

The fact is they probably never want to see each other again once they're born. You know, my twins, they like being with each other. They finish each other's sentences.

Yeah, it might be true. I remember my stepsister, she had, yeah, she had twins, a boy and a girl. And, yeah, I remember taking them out.

They were, yeah, they were, they were, uh, blimey. It seemed like absolutely years ago. Will you shut up? Why have you got to do it near the metal? I'll tell you what I'm going to do.

What I'm going to do is this. Yeah, it's now over there. That's it.

He walked, I kicked it over to the other side of the room, the bone. And now he's picked it up with, and he's taken it back to exactly the same spot. Well done.

Brilliant. Absolutely fantastic. I'm really pleased with that.

There's great good. Thank you. Anyway.

Yeah. So it seems like years ago, but the kids aren't that old. They're only like four or five, but this is like 10 years ago, unless she's had more than one set of twins.

Anyway, there were babies, like literally in their cots. And there's a double, a double pram. See, even can't even be taken out without being together.

Like we had enough of each other. Do you not get it? I don't want to see that person again. Like everywhere, every time I wake up, they're there.

Every time I go to sleep, they're there. I can't even go to the toilet, double toilet. That's just wrong.

I mean, I know you've got two of them, but you haven't got to feed us both at the same time. It's just, but yeah. I don't know if that's true.

I'm in town and she's gone into the shop. I don't know what it was, what shop it was. It's not really that relevant to the story.

So I'm outside. She said, look after them for me. I want to push them in the road.

Of course I want to look after them. I know I wanted to put them to the top of a hill and just let them go. When do I happen? Sorry.

Whoops. Of course I'm not going to look after them blindly. So I decided to stay with them.

It was tempting because I did remember that there was something else I needed to do that was more interesting, but I stayed. I thought she's 30 seconds more. I'm off.

But she did come out. So it was good. But while I was there, while I was standing there with these babies, people were stopping to say hello.

I didn't quite understand it. It's like these babies were attracting human attention. Now bearing in mind the little town that I was in at the time, that's where I used to live when I was a kid.

And I'm not sure some of the people stopping might have actually, you know, they might eat babies. I don't know. But it's a weird town.

Very strange. Is that that town? You remember the one town of wax? That's like nothing compared to the place I used to live. I was that's like a holiday camp.

Honestly, like holiday park. Oh, no, it was very, very weird. People used to have, I saw people actually have conversations out of a window.

But not just like hello, like actually a long conversation. And I just remembered I did that last summer. I'll move on.

So I'm standing there and people were stopping. Oh, aren't they lovely? And I took credit, of course. So yeah, thanks.

Yeah. Take after their dad. Not realizing that I wasn't their dad, which would be a little bit weird considering it's my sister.

But let's not talk about that. What's step sister, but it's still a bit of an unusual, although gossipy. I knew this.

She was a friend of mine for years. Her son never knew his dad never knew his dad until he was an adult. You know, he was like early 20s or something or maybe late teens, early 20s.

And then his dad came into his life. His dad contacted his mom or something. Is it okay if I, because I think she kept him away or I don't know.

I don't know what the ins and outs were. I'm sure she didn't lie to him about anything because she would never lie. And he, he came into his life and he had a daughter, but it wasn't his daughter.

It was the daughter of his wife, but wasn't his biological daughter. Well, they fell in love. Like it was kind of instant falling in love.

Can you imagine me and me, you know, that, that feeling of like, wow, that the instant, the instant like, yeah, but the opposite to that, that's, that's what he had in her and she, and they, and it, and they basically fell in love. So he basically married his sister or didn't matter. I don't know if they got married, whether, but she's not really his sister, but she is his stepsister, but he fell in love with her.

What are you going to do now? He'd never seen her before. They'd never, it's not like they grew up together. She was an adult.

He was an adult and they met each other for the first time and they fell in love and they wanted to hold hands and all the other stuff that people do when they fall in love. I can't remember what else other people do when they fall in love. Um, handstands, I don't know, doing jigsaw puzzles together, cutting each other's toenails, whether they want to or not, you know, that kind of stuff.

You know, I remember I had a girlfriend once and EastEnders was on. I was watching EastEnders. She was having a bath.

So I thought, Oh, good bit of peace. And I was, I'm over at her house and I'm watching EastEnders and it's lovely. It's just a kid was in bed.

She was having a bath. I was watching EastEnders. I might've had a can of lager going.

I don't know, but I was chilling out. It was good. And she called me.

Now the problem with staying over at someone else's place is you kind of got to be on your good behavior. You know, I can't just ignore her calling me. I can do that when I'm in my own house.

I was like, oh, so I didn't hear you. But I'm on the other side of the room. You're sitting next to me on the couch.

What do you mean you can't hear me? But she called me. Oh no. I hope she's not on the toilet.

That was my first thought as I walk. Come in. It's like, Oh, please don't be on the toilet.

And she wasn't. She was in the bath. So I thought, yeah, it's pretty better than EastEnders to be fair.

And so, yeah, yeah, yeah. This is better than EastEnders. And I couldn't believe what came out of her mouth.

Still to this day, cannot believe what she asked me to do. Now, if there are any children in the room, close their eyes. No, not close their eyes, close their ears.

Right. You ready? She asked. I can't even say it again.

I'm welling up. She asked me to wash her hair. I was like, what? More chores? I'm watching EastEnders.

And she's like, Oh. And she just, I'll previous to this. Oh, this is another thing that.

Look, she dyed her hair red or ginger. She dyed her hair ginger and she wasn't ginger. But she dyed her hair ginger.

I think she's trying to get to red or something. I don't know. But.

Now. I'm being careful here now. I realise she doesn't have to ask my permission what colour she has her hair.

But I think a little bit of consultation, a little bit of a conversation, because I'm pretty sure if I turned up with green hair, a Mohican, she would have had something to say. I mean, my friend downstairs wouldn't even go to the shops with me until I shaved off my Hitler moustache. See, some people are fussy about it.

They're embarrassed to go out with people. You're thinking, do you want me to backtrack to the Hitler moustache? Well, actually, I think of it as the Laurel and Hardy moustache or the popular moustache of the day, ruined by one certain man. Charlie Chaplin, same moustache.

Everyone. Charlie Chaplin was the most famous entertainer in the world, in the Western world. I'm pretty sure there's quite a few people in India and Africa and Iran that may not or China that might not have heard of him, you know, at the time.

So I had a Charlie Chaplin beard. But you can't say that anymore. You can't walk around.

You've got a Hitler moustache. No, it's a Charlie Chaplin moustache. It's Charlie Chaplin or Hardy.

Oliver Hardy had a moustache exactly the same. Laurel and Hardy. Oliver Hardy had the big one out of the two.

I think it's right, isn't it? Oliver Hardy was the bigger man of the two of the men. He had a moustache the same. So it wasn't, you know, and they were around in the 30s.

And, you know, so it was a popular moustache back then. Now, every now and then, when I shave a beard off, I like to play around. I'm in the bathroom and I like to play around.

That sounds wrong. OK, I like to experiment. Again, that could sound wrong.

I like to do things with the razor. Doesn't sound any better, does it? As an example, you know, try and write words in my beard or trim down my moustache so it looks like a Charlie Chaplin moustache. Or with my hair, because I've shaved my head hundreds of times over the years, it's just sometimes I just shave my head.

And one thing I like to do sometimes is give myself a comb over. So I shave my head, but then leave a long bit and then just brush it over, just for fun. And again, my friend wouldn't leave the house for me like that either.

Another time I did a thing where I basically shaved all the way down and gave myself like a it's like a fryer tuck kind of look. So I had hair at the sides and the back, but not in the middle. Again, my friend wouldn't go out on me looking like that.

It's just, it's weird, isn't it? It's just, you know, it's good to have fun with stuff like that. So, will you wash my hair? She said. She didn't say it like that.

And I thought, what? This is when I was a lot younger. I'm a much more sensitive young fella now, or old fogey now. And if something on telly I want to watch.

I mean, the good thing about streaming on TV is, or streaming TV shows, you can just pause it and you can go back to it. So that's not too bad. But with live television, back in them days, it was, well not, it wasn't live as in being acted live, but it was being shown live as it were kind of.

Yeah. So, yeah, I just remember that. I don't know why I thought about it.

And I remember she kept saying, do it properly, do it properly. So, wow. I didn't expect to hear that near the bath.

Bad enough I hear that in the bedroom. I didn't want to hear it in the bathroom as well. Do it properly.

You're not trying. Like, I'm just pouring water on her hair. Rub it properly.

You've got to rub it in. Like, no. Just got to rinse it off.

You're aiming wrong. Like, what? I remember I was like, the thing is, if you wash someone else's hair, it's different from washing your own hair. Because you can't feel it.

You can't feel what it feels like for the other person. And when I wash my hair and I rinse it, I like to rinse out my ears because soap gets in the ears. And I like to give the old ears a good old rinse out with the spray, you know, the nozzle or whatever you call it.

And I didn't know whether to squirt in her ears or not, because I didn't know if she'd like it. I didn't know if she'd want the soap out of her ears or she was just going to do it herself with some toilet paper or whatever tissue. So I really don't know what to do.

And there's also the aiming for the eyes. I didn't want to get it in her eyes. Because, you know, you get soap in your eyes when you're washing your hair.

It's not nice. But it's more controllable, I think, when you're doing it yourself, maybe. You know, I like to wash my hair in the shower.

So I put my head right back. So the soap doesn't even touch my face, really. It just... Yeah, it's a technique.

I've cultivated that technique over a 32 year period. And I call it the Jason technique. The Jason washing hair technique in the shower.

I haven't copyrighted it, to be honest. I thought about it, but then I thought, no, that's just ridiculous. So I didn't.

Maybe I should. Maybe I should. So yeah, that was one of the weirdest things that ever happened in my entire life.

Being asked to wash her hair. Wow. What's next? Cleaning the toilet.

I mean, I'm not saying I'd rather clean the toilet than wash her hair, but I kind of feel like I owe the toilet a debt, you know? Wherever I go, if I spend any amount of time in any building, I feel a responsibility towards the toilet's well-being. You know, it's just one of those things. I mean, can you imagine what kind of job is that? That is your sole job, to be a toilet.

I mean, that's why I give my toilet so much love and attention. I buy Christmas presents, birthday presents, Valentine's night to go to a restaurant. I wasn't allowed entry into the restaurant, but at least I took it, you know? I remember talking to her when we got home, like, well, at least I took you.

Yeah, but you knew we wouldn't get in. I didn't know. Well, I'm a toilet.

Not going to let you walk in with a toilet, are they? I said, I don't know. She said, you're going to talk about this on your podcast. I said, I'm not sure, maybe.

She said, well, if you do, make sure you don't give me a squeaky voice. You know, I don't like that. I don't sound like that.

You know, I've got a lovely voice. I don't like it when you give me some squeaky caricature voice. I said, listen, I promise if I ever talk about you, I will not give you a squeaky voice.

You better not. I won't, I promise. So I'm in town and my stepsister, who I didn't marry, she's in the shop.

I can't remember which shop it was. I've got this idea that it's like a wool shop or the card shop. In that town, they have shops for different things.

So if you need, for example, socks, there's a shop for socks. If you need to get yourself some nail clippers, there's a nail clipper shop. So, you know, it's very, it's quite basic, very to the point, very simple, straightforward stuff.

There's a lot of shops. Yeah, it's the biggest town in the world. Surprised you haven't heard of it.

So I'm standing there with these two little brats, my two nieces, nephews, whatever. Yeah, my niece and my nephew. And people are coming up.

Oh, they're so pretty. Oh, they're so lovely. Oh, they're so gorgeous.

What are their names? I don't know what their names are. I still don't know what their names are. I mean, I was told at some point, like, oh, I've just, I've given birth and I've named them or whatever.

I'm like, okay. But, you know, anytime I've seen them, I'm waiting for someone to say their name so I can, you know, learn them. But there's only so much you can remember, isn't there? Remember.

Can't remember everything. I'd say it's weird, though, because the little girl looks like her sister, who's now about a hundred. And I genuinely thought it was her, because I haven't seen her for so long.

I thought it was her. I said, all right, how are you doing? You all right? And I was, it was pointed out to me that she's actually six years old and it's not, it's the youngest daughter. I said, but she looks identical to her.

She's, she doesn't because the other one's 15 now. I thought you said she was a hundred. I've not heard of exactly.

So, yeah, that was weird. It's weird because the, my stepmum, her mum looked like her. So the grandmother, her mother, her, is like a small little girl.

They all kind of look the same. And then her two daughters, they all have the same kind of look. And I don't mean the same look.

I don't mean like fashionable look. I guess the blonde hair, they've got eyes and teeth and stuff. So they just look similar, very similar.

Yeah. So I'm standing in town, in the town centre. It's not the centre of the town.

It's a little bit off centre. I mean, to be fair, it's probably two thirds up the road. Depends which, where do you start the town from? Because it's a very small town.

But you said it's a really big town. I was lying. It's a very small town and I can probably count the shops to you.

Should I count the shops that used to be there or the ones that are there now? Because I'm not sure if I can remember the ones that are there now. But I remember the ones that used to be there, I think. Do I? I'm not sure.

You know, I didn't completely hate that town when I lived there. I didn't like it once I left school. Didn't like it at all.

But when I was at school, it was all right. You know, as far as it goes, it was a tiny little town. You know, there wasn't much going on.

It was two high schools. One, two, three, three or four junior schools. I mean, I probably, I don't know how many people lived there.

Should we look? How many people? Just, I wonder. Wow. Estimated 2017 population 24,500.

So that's a small amount, isn't it? I'm guessing that when I lived there in the 80s, late 70s and 80s, and then I moved. I moved in 89, came back for a short while in 1990, and then moved again in 91 and never returned. So January 1991.

I reckon it wouldn't have been more, be less than 20,000 when I lived there. It's not a lot of people, is it? Not a lot of people at all. Local time.

Postcode. I wonder where with my area. I'll try not to knock the microphone.

Yeah. Right. Population, two and a half thousand.

Okay. So it's basically 10% of what there is in that town. Not a lot of people, is it? It's not a lot.

It's, yeah, that's estimated. Yeah. Two and a half thousand.

Anyway, so I'm in the town centre and someone comes up to me and he says, oh, are they twins? I said, yeah. I mean, it seems like a weird question when you've got two babies, you can see they're pretty much the same age. They're in the same caricot, a twin caricot, or, you know, a pram or whatever you want to call it.

Four twins. And there's clearly not nine or 10 months between them. I mean, of course, I mean, this is always a charge, you know.

You could have two babies in the same household, born at the same time and just, you know, taking them out for a walk, you know, in a buggy or whatever. I don't know. I mean, there's always the chance of something different from the norm.

However, generally it's a twin situation. Twid. Twin situation.

So are they twins? Yes. Yes, they're twins. And what are their names? So are they boys or girls or something like that? Well, one's a boy, one's a girl.

The next thing he says is, are they identical? Without actually showing you, no, they're not identical. It's impossible for them to be identical because, you know, and I looked at me puzzled. So you don't have to be rude.

I said, I'm not. I'm just, I'm just laughing at you. Don't laugh at me.

I don't like it. You don't like it. And I said, stop it.

Come on. He said, don't. And he started banging his feet on the floor, rolling around having a tantrum.

He was five years old, to be fair. So perhaps I shouldn't have been quite as harsh. So, yeah.

So that was good. So what have I done today? I took, I took, did, he didn't sleep on my bed last night. Vinnie didn't.

And I'm not bothered, to be honest. I don't really care. He sleeps on the bed or he doesn't sleep on the bed.

It makes no difference to me. But he slept on the bed this morning when I went back to bed for a nap. So, you know, he's all right.

He's still a bit weird though. He's, he did the same thing again today. My friend, my friend came up and he hid in the bedroom.

He went and sat in the bedroom on his own. Just laid down on the floor. I just, near the exercise bike, almost kind of hidden away.

So my friend and his dog were up here and, you know, he was running around with the dog to start with and then he, he went and hid. So I went and got him and brought him in, gave him a big cuddle and just trying to, I don't know, let him know that he's, this is, this is his home. He can go anywhere he wants and do whatever, well, do anything he wants.

But you know, he's, this is his home. He hasn't got to go and sit in the bedroom and, but there's no reason because the other dog loves him. So I'm not sure what's going on with him.

I'm trying to figure him out. Yeah, trying to figure him out. He's, he did a thing again today this morning.

He picked something up from the pavement and it was a, I don't know what was it? It was, it's like a ball. I mean, it might have been food or something from the rubbish or something left over from Christmas or something. Clearly he wanted, wanted it in his mouth.

So he picked it up. Now I've been navigating him around this thing because I thought it was a bit of poo. Clearly it wasn't.

Well, I really hope it wasn't because I ate it and I didn't. So he had it in his mouth. I said, let go, drop it.

And he wouldn't. So I opened his mouth up and it dropped on the floor. So I said, no.

So I go to walk away. He's in his mouth again. He literally just picks it up, ignores me, picks it up straight away and carries on walking like I'm not going to notice.

He wasn't eating it. He was, I don't know if he thought it was a gobstopper or, but he was saving it clearly, saving it for later. Pretending it wasn't in his mouth.

He wasn't moving his mouth, nothing. So I've stopped him again. I tell him to drop it.

He didn't. So I opened his mouth and he dropped it on it. He just fell out of his mouth.

And I said, no. And he picked it up again. No, I had to pull him away.

It's really, I have to keep my eyes on him the whole time. He's always up to something. Now, not so much here because there's not really that much that he can do.

I mean, he's living with an old, old fogey really, isn't he? He's, this is not the most stimulating environment for him. But when he goes out, he loves it. Every sound, every smell, any movement, he's on it.

He's like, what's that? What's that? What's that? He wants to go in everyone's house. He wants to go in on everyone's garden. He wants, if someone's loading something into their boot, he wants to get into the boot of the car.

I mean, if I ever actually do want to get rid of him, I just undo the lead and he's gone. I mean, you know, wait until there's a train going past, let him go and like jump onto the train or something. Or a plane.

I suppose he couldn't really get onto a plane, could he? But it was taken off. You know, the idea. I'm thinking of trains like, you know, in America where they've got those railroad trains where people would travel and they'd jump on them while they're moving.

But we don't really have them here. We do have trains, but the days of being able to open the doors when the train's moving is long gone. You can't do that.

You used to be able to do it in the 90s. I remember there was, and then they put locks on them where you couldn't open them until the train had pulled into the station. But there was a time when you could open the doors.

I think there was. I just remember jumping on the train when it actually started moving and closing the door behind me while it was still moving. And then open the door while it was pulling up to the platform.

So I'm imagining there was a few accidents over the years with that. They used to have compartments with like seating. Like quite private.

Not first class. There was a first class section. But even the seating.

Trains used to be nice. They're a bit more private. You know, you could have your own kind of, not your own carriage, but your own little compartment.

You used to, yeah, traveling by train. I used to like traveling by train. I did when I was a kid.

I used to like it. It was a cool way to travel. And I still don't mind it.

I don't mind traveling, providing it's during a quiet period. You know, quiet time so that I don't have to sit next to anybody or I don't have to stand. That's the worst, isn't it? Having to stand on a long journey.

And you just, you pay like loads of money to get a seat. But you don't have a seat because there are no seats. I remember those days.

I remember, I remember, I remember those days. I hope that the sound is okay. As I said earlier, I'm using my 3DO.

Are they binaural? I don't know. They're basically, if you're listening with headphones on, you'll hear this through your left ear. And you'll hear this through your right ear, I think, or the other way around.

One of them. I haven't quite sussed it out. And that's just how it is with this thing.

And if I, if I talk behind, which would involve turning the microphone around or microwave the microphone around or me moving around the desk, which would involve moving the desk around and readjusting the furniture, which isn't really worth the hassle, to be honest. But if I had it on a microphone stand in the middle of a room where there was nothing around, I could walk around the microphone talking and it would seem like I was walking around you. That's what this microphone does.

The reason I've got it set up is so that I can make some whisper recordings. That's why I'm not using my normal microphone. But once I have this all set up properly, I will go back to I will use my other not the normal microphone for doing this and doing the let me boy to sleep and the other stuff.

And just use this microphone for the whisper stuff. Because it should sound better, better than than the other mic. Because this is what this is for specifically for.

See, I can't hear so much of the headphones because there's also a master. So I'm not sure I think I'd have to recall. I don't know.

I might not be using it correctly. But it's okay. It doesn't matter because it should just be better for the whisper stuff.

That's all really. That's kind of the bottom line for that one should make things sound more clearer, more whispery. Whispery is that even a thing? More whispery.

Oh, I don't know if anyone's actually going to contact me and say, thank you that that whisper recording sounded so much more whispery. I don't know. And no not whether that shall happen or no, it may it may not.

And or not. Why? Who? Who said what? When? Why? Why do you? Why do you ask? I don't know what I'm talking about now. Oh, I had to tidy up.

My friend's dog came up here for a couple of hours. And I looked after him. And I thought, you know what, I'm going to use this time to do some tidying up.

And I did. Now looking around, it doesn't look like I've done any tidying up. But I know I have.

I also on unboxed the microphone for my laptop. So it's a it's a wireless microphone. And apparently one charge should last for a whole month.

That's what it says. And five minutes charge or whatever should last a whole day. Some right anyway, so it should be fine.

I'm gonna, I'm gonna move the laptop over to the other desk at some point. Maybe not today, but eventually. Although I'm still considering this situation desk wise because I need to get rid of that one thing.

And I'm just trying to figure out what needs to go where. And one of the problems I have with the setup is the headphones keep getting stuck in the chair, which isn't good. It's not good at all.

Also, the other thing is, now that I've got these headphones, this microphone, the new microphone connected to the recording studio is there's a lot of wires coming out. And I might might need to move the recording studio onto the desk itself and keep this desk completely free of anything else outside of recording equipment, including microphones and recording stuff and headphones and stuff. The problem with that is I do quite like having my iPad close by.

I do. It's nice just to have it there. So if there's if there's something I'm talking about, I can look at it, you know, like look it up, Google it.

Just see whether or not my memory is correct or not. And yeah, yeah, that's it. That's it, man.

I mean, this probably this probably room. If I remaneuver the desk and remaneuver where things go. And also, yeah, some of the things for the other desk can be changed as well because I'll need electrical equipment for that desk.

So I don't know what you call them, but like socket things that attach to the desk. I've got two of them, two or three, two. So there's three plugs.

There's also two plugs for UDV. What was it called? UDV. I don't know.

You know, the thing that plugs into into your computer and stuff into your phone so I can charge. So basically what charges on there. So that's handy.

So I've got those and I use them as well. One of them I use for the internet. The other one I use for something else.

I can't remember. I'm looking at the I'm looking at them, but I can't see where the leads go. But then there's some stuff that's not really being used.

Not really. So I'm going to have to get rid of those. So it's a little bit of reorganization to change things around.

Yeah. So thinking about it, the recording studio can go over there. That thing will be out of the way.

And then I also need to put up my punch bag as well. I'm going to move that chair where the punch bag is going to go over the other side. No, I'll move that here.

So that I'm in a more comfortable chair when I make the recordings. I'm going to move the normal chair over there for when I do the editing. I do want to get myself a decent chair, a decent office chair, one that doesn't squeak, ideally.

But this this chair, it's a gaming chair, and I thought it'd be comfortable. But it's really not. Really, really not comfortable at all.

It's not like super uncomfortable. But it's I mean, I don't know if it's because I'm just so skinny. And you know, if I had a bigger bum and a bit more meat on me, maybe I'd be more comfortable.

But the chair over there is very padded. It's nice. I like a bit of meat.

And that's got a nice little bit of meat to sit on. You know, this one is just I mean, technically is nice. It's a nice chair.

Just I don't know. It just doesn't feel very comfortable to me at all. Yeah.

So still got quite a bit to do. It's Saturday tomorrow, so I'll get some done, get some stuff done tomorrow. I'm gonna do nothing today.

I'll edit this, upload it, but I won't be and it's half past six in the evening now. I might I might do a whisper just to test it out. I want to see how this turns out what this what kind of quality sound is here.

And then, you know, go from there and see what else I can do. But if I have it set up, so I've got two microphones ready to go all times. That to me seems like a good idea.

I'm not going to record with both both the microphones. I mean, technically, it's three microphones because this one here has got two microphones at the same time. And the other one's one microphone.

But it doesn't seem a lot of point having both at the same time, especially as it's all being recorded onto a get onto a disc. So that isn't not it's not like one of them is going to be a backup if the disc doesn't work or whatever. He's now just come over after finishing this bone and he's just sitting down leaning against my leg.

I think maybe he does think that I'm his dad. I just don't know. I can't read him.

He's literally leaning against me. He's sitting up but he's leaning against me. He's not looking at me.

He's just happily just chilling out, looking around, looking at the floor. What else can he eat or destroy? I don't know. I just I don't sounds maybe it sounds strange, but I just don't.

I can't quite work him out. He's very right to me sometimes very, very. He tells me off.

Sometimes he just doesn't want to be touched. He doesn't want I'll go to give him a cuddle and like get off. You know, I'm real dead and that kind of stuff.

And like, come on. Just come on. Get off me now.

Wow. Okay. It's all on his terms.

It's almost like he's making me fight for his affection. It's making me earn it. Or he wants to be sure that I really do care.

Like really and I'm not going anywhere. And I'm, you know, he's got a home and he's never going to have to go through the separation thing again. I don't know, maybe.

But all that is, it's not cognitive, is it? It's not. It's not thinking those things. But it's like an emotional thing.

He seems to have like some kind of separation anxiety thing going on, which makes sense. I mean, he's lost two women that he absolutely adored. That couldn't look after him.

One couldn't look after him through illness. And he was little, he was a baby then. So he must have absolutely adored her.

And then the one that just fostered him for three months. I know that he adores her because I've seen them together and he absolutely loves her. But I don't know what he's doing.

He's looking for things to pick up off the floor. See the other dog, the one downstairs, he's like a vacuum cleaner. He comes up and he just sucks up any bit of food that might have fallen on the floor.

And I'm not talking about my food. I'm talking about treats. Hey, stop that mate.

No more. Don't be barking. I really don't want him barking.

Don't be barking mate. Do you want to get up and give me cuddles? Do you want cuddles? No, he wants to play. Come on.

Oh, good boy. Have a cuddle. He's not seen this microphone before.

I don't know if he knows what it is. Is it ears? Look at those ears on each side. Isn't that strange? He got told off earlier.

We was in the park and this huge dog, it's like a wolf, honestly huge. Looks even bigger next to this one. She said, the lady of the dog said, he can be a little bit heavy handed because he's so big.

And I said, well, we'll keep him on the tight rein and just introduce him whatever they want. Vinnie goes lunging at him and this dog, I don't know what he does. I don't know if he nips his nose or something, but he like yikes and runs away.

He's not injured or anything. So I don't know if it was just a growl or whatever, but he got told off by this big dog. And you started behaving yourself, didn't you, for a little while after that? Yeah, you did.

Now you can't be wanting a poo because you already had a poo. You're only allowed to have two poos a day. Hey, smelly breath.

Do you want one of your mint things? I've got some mint, some things for his teeth. Where is it? I've got one of these. They're called Dentastix, chewy chunks, jaw clean, cleans teeth, supports gum health.

There you go. And they're like, they look a bit like, I don't know what they look like, but he likes them. I think anything that comes out of something that sounds like this, he likes.

I think he likes it before he even tastes it because it sounds like it's going to be tasty. So it's supposed to clean his teeth and good for his gums. So that's really, excuse me.

That's pretty much it for me for today. I hope the microphone's picked up my voice. Okay.

And once I get this set up properly, it should be okay. So I've got one microphone for the normal podcast. This microphone for specialist microphone for the whisper stuff, the ASMR whisper.

You're not having two? One's enough. One's enough. You don't need two.

You really want, you want another one? I'll give you. Okay. All right.

I don't know how many there are in a pack. Mind you, they're only £1.30. Nice. That's not, not a huge amount of money.

There's one, two, three, four, at least a week, maybe two weeks. Depends how many times he has it. Yeah.

He just, he just, mind you, I put his food on the top so he hasn't got any food to eat. So I had to hide it from the other dog because he just sucks it up. Yeah.

I better put that down for him. So I'm going to go. Thank you very much.

I'm ready for bed already. That's weird. So remember to be kind to yourself.

You deserve to be happy. Lots of love. Bye.

Say goodbye Vinnie. Say goodbye. Say goodbye.

Say goodbye. Say goodbye. Are you going to bark? Say something.

Say something. He will say something if we wait long enough. He's growling.

What? Told you. Yay. Bye.

Say goodbye to everyone. Say goodbye to everyone listening. Go on Vinnie.

Say goodbye. Say bye-bye. Have a happy weekend.

Say something. He won't say something. Say something.

Oh, see you later.
