Hello and welcome to jasonnewland.com. My name is Jason Newland and this is Let Me Bore You To Sleep. Please only listen when you can safely close your eyes. Yes, yeah.

So hi, how are you getting on? Are you well? Are you okay? Good. So today is Tuesday the 23rd of November 2021. Well hello.

Hello. It's all good baby. So today, what's happened? What have I done today? Anything? Anything of interest? Not really.

Not much. Went for a walk. Yep, went for a walk.

Exciting stuff, eh? You went for a walk, did you? Wow, please tell us all about it. Okay, yeah, I went for a walk. I did a Jason Chats video because, although to be fair, it wasn't really a video of me, it was just a video of the field as I walked around.

Just to get a bit of exercise, bit of fresh air and just have a little chat. I mean really there's not not a lot of difference between the Jason Chats and the Let Me Bore You To Sleep recordings in a way, apart from the Jason Chats are always videos of some kind. But content wise, kind of the same really.

Very similar, really. Yeah. So I had a couple of comments.

Oh yeah. Except for the falling, it looks like a lovely walk with those autumn colours, says Heidi, for the video I did. I fell over.

There was this ditch that I thought I could manoeuvre in, basically to get between fields. They're dikes aren't they I think. And it looked like I could get across it, but it was a bit too steep and I fell and I bashed myself.

I don't mean I fell over and got really excited. I mean I bashed, I fell on my, well, I fell on myself. Does that make sense? I think I hurt my toes and I think I hurt my shoulder and I think I hurt my leg.

It's a bit confusing. I imagine tomorrow when I wake up, I'll have a couple of aches and pains and it'll be a bit more obvious which parts of my body may be bruised a little bit. But it ain't no big deal.

It ain't no biggie. It's all gravy as they say. So that was all right.

Really, it was, it was okay. It was okay. And what else? Did a couple of recordings.

I've done a deep sleep whisper recording. I've done three recordings today actually. I did, let me tell you what I did.

What have I done? I did, I did, did a, yeah, I did a boring objects recording, wooden bench, I still laugh at the title, wooden benches. That was the subject that lasts for 42 minutes, nearly 43 minutes long. I did a deep sleep whisper hypnosis recording, which was called peaceful energy spreading.

And without music, that one is 20 minutes and 39 seconds. I also did, if I remember, let me have a look. Relax and sleep hypnosis daily.

And what is it? Number 147, air blowing through you. It's not about farting. It's not.

It sounds like it should be, but it's not. And that one is without music, 27 minutes, 33 seconds long. I would suggest that they're all pretty good, kind of.

It's hard for me to judge, but I felt, I think with the, with the deep sleep whisper, and also with the relax and sleep hypnosis daily, things flowed very well whilst I was recording. This is a very good flow. That's a sign quite often that things, this is possibly a good recording to listen to.

Flows very, very well. The words came to me, if that makes sense. I think it kind of makes sense to me, but it might not make sense to everybody in the world.

Oh, no. Yeah, so that's it. So I did those recordings.

And I did, what else did I do? And I did, went for that walk, slept a bit today. I do, did have a little bit of a sleep. But it's okay, as long as I get work done.

There's always things to do though. There's always plenty of stuff to do, such as, for example, my websites. I haven't updated my website.

And I haven't got my glasses on, so I'm looking at the computer screen without my glasses. No wonder I've got a bit of eyestrain. Right, that's better.

Although, yeah, why the lenses are so dusty? It's weird. Not just dusty a little bit. I think my eyesight might be changing.

Changing. I'm not really sure how, but just changing. Someone's put a post on Facebook.

Please, what business can I start with 1500? I don't know what currency that is. I want to be serious with my life. E. Don Red.

What does E. Don Red mean? I don't know. Starting a business at 1500 pounds. If it's pounds, it might be.

I don't know. Build petrol station. Okay, that's one suggestion.

Probably, probably not a good idea. 1500. Pure water, someone writes down.

Just focus, someone else says. Virtual, another person says. I struggle with some of the wording people use now.

Like don't do whole sentences, just put a word or don't even spell the word correctly. Someone puts charcoal. What does that mean? Charcoal.

Native broom. I don't, I don't know. Some of the names is precious.

Imagine calling your car. There's some strange names, but nice names, I suppose. But imagine calling your child precious.

I mean, children are precious. You know, if you've got a little baby, it's precious, but precious. That's like tea bag or marmalade or I don't know, kitchen sink.

Just, just seems like a bit of a strange, strange name. But you could call your name anything, couldn't you really? Vulnerable. Annoying.

I would have been called that. Annoying, I think. Sky.

There's someone that I've seen called Sky. That seemed to be a popular name in the past. What other names? What other names like precious? Because for me, precious would be like a nickname.

All right, precious. All right, precious. To actually give them a, it seems to be a non-English thing to do.

It's not really a name that an English person would necessarily name their child. Precious or happy. I'd call you happy.

I'd call you glorious. No, Gloria, Gloria. What's wrong with Jane and Tracy and Bob? I can't just have, why can't everyone call me, everyone could be Bob.

Everyone, everyone should be called Bob and Jeanette. Let's have a look at some of the, the weird, weirdest names. Moon unit.

That was Frank Zeppa, who's oldest daughter. Wow. Weirdest baby names in history.

I don't know why I'm interested in this now, but I thought it might be worth looking at. Moon unit. There's one called, it's just a bunch of letters, but apparently it's pronounced Albin.

It's just so pretentious, it's ridiculous. Um, oh, okay. There's a legitimate reason for this.

This was actually submitted as a protest against the naming law in Sweden. I didn't know there was any such thing as a naming law anywhere. And it requires parents to submit a name for approval within three months of birth.

Unsurprisingly, the name was rejected. You have to get approval. Mind you, I just said that everyone should be called Bob or Janet in England.

So I guess I'm not the good one to judge that. I would want approval. You must approve your, can you imagine having to prove your child's name? Like this is my child's name.

That's it. You know, there's nothing to do with anyone else. King Messiah.

This was named the worst boy's name of 2019 by one parenting site. King Messiah. That, that's just pretentious bull, isn't it? You know, calling your child something like that.

Darth, as in Darth Vader. Census data shows that at least 10 girls were named Darth in 1920. Wow.

That's interesting. I guess it had to come from somewhere, didn't it? Xavier. Another name that was registered last year.

It takes the trend of alternate spelling. So it's not spelled Xavier as in, I don't know how Xavier is normally spelled. But it's still a silly name.

So stop it. X, you shouldn't this X, X, A, Y, V, I, E, R. Why make life hard for everyone they ever meet? Xavier. Hellzel.

Blimey. That's a nice. Lucifer.

Now this surprised me. Lucifer is a really popular name at the moment, possibly because of the TV show Lucifer. And it's very popular.

And he's a bit of a bit of a sex symbol. I think the man who plays Lucifer in that show. Now, anyone with any knowledge of the name knows that's another name for the devil.

Why would you call your child? It's like I want to call my child Beelzebub. Or just the devil. Cyanide.

Wow. So in Wales, I think it was in 2016. A woman, a lady was banned from naming her baby daughter cyanide.

A judge ruled the name was unacceptable, even allow for changes in taste, fashion and developing individual perception. Cyanide. I mean, why? What kind of brain would pick that though? I mean, I understand.

Name yourself whatever you want to name yourself as a joke, because it would only be a joke name, wouldn't it call yourself Lucifer or cyanide? Don't stick down a kid. That's not fair. Because they're not able to change their name until they get to what 18 years old, probably at the least.

They can't legally change their own name. So after go through 18 years of being called cyanide, or Lucifer, and that TV show Lucifer, that'll be long gone in five years time, probably. Which means that baby that's born now, being called Lucifer, when he's 10 years old, especially if he goes to a goes to a Catholic school.

Why are you called Lucifer? Awesome. That was another name registered in Scotland. Again, that that's in the same vein as precious.

And holy. Audacious. Pilot.

Someone named a kid pilot inspector. It was my name is Earl. Jason Lee.

Blimey, is named his kid that apparently. Buddy Bear. Jamie Oliver's brood.

One of his kids is called Buddy Bear. No, no, no, he hasn't called his kids that. Apparently, along with his siblings, Poppy Honey, Daisy Boo Pamela, Petal Blossom Rainbow, and River Rocket Blue Dallas.

I think I think the message there is don't take drugs before naming your children. Wow. He says apparently says, I hate people's opinions on names.

Whatever you call your baby is your decision. What about how your child feels? You're basically setting them up to be bullied. That's horrible.

I mean, you know, all jokes aside, that's what you're possibly setting them up to be. Kids are cruel. Honestly, I remember in school when I was a kid, I was quite lucky I didn't get much bullying.

I got a little bit. Everyone gets teased and stuff, but I didn't have any like full on bullying. I had someone try it once.

But. I remember once Grange Hill was this TV show and it was based on these kids at school. Very famous TV show in the UK.

And there is this character called. Oh, what was his name? Green? Oh. Roland, Roland.

And there was a scene where a girl, I think it's Michelle. What's her name from EastEnders that became a pop star? Oh, she was lovely. I liked her.

But she was in Grange Hill. Anyway, she. It might not been her, but it was someone in the show.

And basically. There's a scene where she says, I think Roland was crying because I'm making fun of him being fat. And she says, Roland, I love you, Roland.

Very, very touching scene. What happened the next day? People coming up to me all day saying, Newland, I love you, Newland. Now, I wasn't a roly poly.

I wasn't big. I was skinny. But just the name that was enough.

As soon as New Zealand Lamb came out, people saw an advert for New Zealand Lamb. It was a new thing. I was New Zealand Lamb for about a week.

Ridiculous. And Shanda, Shanda Lear, Shanda Lear, spelled S-H-A-N-D-A Lear. Oh, shut up.

Nutella. They're literally on. They must be on drugs to do.

Author. Occupation names go right back. Yeah, but usually your occupation would be your surname, wouldn't it? Not your first name.

The surname is, in this country anyway, the history of it would be like blacksmith. Or, I don't know, robber. Or whatever, you know, be a lot of surnames that corresponded with the jobs they did.

Window. Someone's calling themselves a window. I understand it if a surname is liquor.

And yeah, call your kid window. It's funny. Marijuana.

Dear. A-B-C-D-E. Wow.

And that, a few people have been called that. Felony. Audio science.

Simaj. Simaj? Robo. Robocop.

Wow. Apparently it's a banned name in Mexico. Including, it's another, including other names in Mexico that are banned.

Facebook. Burger King. Hitler.

And of course, Robocop. Following a trend of silly names that could lead to bullying at school. So the Mexicans understand.

I'm not saying that in a, like, why, why wouldn't they understand? But, that sounded bad. Even the Mexicans understand. I don't mean it like that.

I mean, why doesn't everybody? Even the Mexicans. No, I love Mexicans. Brilliant.

Blimey. There's a lot of activity in the loft tonight. I don't know what the hell is up there.

Honestly. Birds, mice, squirrels, elephants. It really is ridiculous.

Ever so ridiculous. Maybelline. I mean, sanitary towel.

Why not sanitary towel? It's not on the list. Slayer. Slayer.

Tallulah does the hula from Hawaii. People have actually called themselves, called their children this. The whole thing.

Tallulah does the hula from Hawaii. This is, that's just ridiculous. Number 16, bus shelter.

Apparently, that was turned down in New Zealand, as well as for real, for real. Justice and Mafia, no fear. Oh no.

Number bus, number 16, bus shelter, apparently got through. So that was accepted. How ridiculous.

Ridiculous. Absolutely. Okay, I'm gonna do some others.

I'm not going to name the country. But you can guess. I'm gonna ask you to guess.

I'm not even going to tell you. But I'll ask you to guess. Okay, here we go.

Here we go. Let's have a look. Oh, come on.

Oh, it's not giving me a list. It's just lying to me. It's very strange.

Okay. Let's see if I can get a list of names. I just want a list.

I don't want. I don't want. Okay.

Okay, so here's some weird some names. Shashak, Lakisha, Muzwaga, Kaftans, Kichui, Katabang, Dandada, Lou, Melissa. Why is Melissa a weird name? Not all of these names are weird.

Lakisha is quite a name. It's quite a popular name, isn't it? I think Lakisha. Shatbang, Scott, Scott, Wacka, Wacka, Wacka, Wacka, Wacka.

Brilliant. You could just call a person Wacka, wouldn't you? Wacka, Wackage, Wacka, Wacka. That's a good name.

Daniel Insidious, Mateo, Boubacar Al, that's a real name. Boubacar Al, Roseanne, Philippe, Joe Rogers, Sanderson, Dana DeVault, San Bu, Ndlovu, Magagula, Jackson, Jacobus, Kwasi Mensah. That's quite a few unusual names.

So what other ones? Okay, right. Here we go. Here we go.

Here we go. Got one. This is what I was looking for.

More names like that. Oh no, it's gone. And I've got to sign up for a free trial in order to watch that, to read it.

No. Okay, if I go silly names like Precious. Like Precious.

Not that it's a silly name, but just for the Google sense, just to find out some names. Let's have a look. Sincerely yours, 98 Pascual.

Wow. Tokyo Sex Whale. How can someone be called Tokyo Sex Whale? Marijuana, Pepsi, Jackson.

Wow. Batman, Bin, Superman. Bin, Superman.

Oh dear. Wow. There's actually someone called KXLY4.

And he was arrested. So it's a real name. Oh, there's another name.

No, that's the name of the news station. Sorry. His name is Beezow Doodoo Zoppity Bob Bop Bop.

Blimey. I mean, let's face it. He probably called himself that.

He went to the trouble of changing his name by depoll, went through the legal process of changing his name to Beezow Doodoo Zoppity Bob Bop Bop. I imagine he had a history of making wrong decisions. I'm just guessing.

Oh, he was arrested for assaulting a police officer. Despite having been previously shot by a stun gun. And he was arrested in 2012-2013 for drug and weapon charges.

Yeah. Previous to that, 2011, that's when he changed his name. Yeah, I think decision making is not his strong point.

Crystal Metheny. Oh my goodness. Edward Cocaine.

Shelby Ward and Joe Looney. That's weird. Okay, so that's that.

Just see if there's any other strange names out there. I had a friend who changed his name to Free Spirit. I don't know what his original name was.

I never knew him as the original name. And when I first met him, and I was introduced to him, well, I was, I was gonna say warned, I wasn't warned, but I was told that his name was Free Spirit. And he, he changed his name to that.

I'm like, really? Because he's born in England. So I knew he wasn't called Free Spirit. Or at least I was 99% certain.

There's a chance someone from, you know, the 60s, hippie days, having a kid in, he was, I think he was, I think he was older than me. Or maybe it was about the same kind of age as me, maybe a little bit younger, maybe a bit older. So, you know, his, his parents would have been born in the 40s.

And probably late 40s, maybe, possibly, you know, I mean, I was my, I was born in 70. But my dad was born in 45. He was 25 when I was, when I was pooed out by my mum.

And then that's disgusting. You can't say stuff like that. Yep, I can.

Yes, I can. Okay, here we go. Let's have a look.

So other, there's a lot of short names as well. This is for very lazy people. Ada.

Ada, Ada, Ada, Ali, Alma, Amy, Anna, Dora, Dina, Edda, Elisa, Elsa, Emma, Eden, Jara, Jax, Jess, Jet, Miri, Micah, Molly. I don't think Molly is a short name. It's one, two, three, four, five letters.

Three letters is definitely a short name. I think Molly's a wonderful name. Thigh, Tadgy, Tacky, Sookie.

I want to find other names. Family, a jigsaw. Bambi.

I don't think I could take someone seriously if they were called Bambi. Barbie. No one's called Barbie, are they? Barbie, the name means foreign in Greek.

Banjo. You wouldn't call someone Banjo, would you? Name of a string instrument. Isn't there a pop star called Banjo? Brooklyn.

The thing is, it was a stupid name when the Beckhams called their kid Brooklyn. It was laughed at and they were just, you know, it's just ridiculous. But, I don't know, he's now probably in his 20s and it's like Brooklyn.

I suppose because I've heard it so many times or read the name in the papers or seen it on the internet or whatever. It just sounds normal, just sounds, you know. Bodhi.

Now I like that because in Sanskrit, Indian Sanskrit, it means awakening. Underneath the Bodhi tree, the Buddha achieved awakening. Curly.

There was a character in Emmerdale, not Emmerdale, Coronation Street. Curly. Blimey.

Was it curly? Yeah. Yeah, it was curly. Electra.

Oh, shut up. Dove. Dove? Stop it.

Lemon. Why would you call? Keely. I like Keely.

I do. I don't know why, just like it. Apparently, it means slender or graceful in Gaelic.

I just, I think it's a nice name. Orally, of course, I like that name. But that sounds more like an Irish name as well.

But in Hebrew, it means my light. Pansy. Yeah, that's a nice name.

I think if I had a boy, I'd call him Pansy. It's a nice name. The French name for a flowering plant with velvet petals.

Pansies are a beautiful flower fit for a beautiful boy. It says there or girl or something like that. But we shouldn't, we can't, shouldn't distinguish between boys and girls anymore, should we? They're all the same now.

Queen. Precious. English word of great worth.

Yeah. Temperance. That's another.

That's kind of a, would you say that's pretentious? I admit, my name's Temperance. Go away. Come back when you're a normal name.

Come back when you're called Sheila. Then I'll talk to you. I'm Vanity.

Well, that's a funny name. I'm Scout. Seven.

Tokyo. Really? There's even a nice whoopee. Mind you, Whoopee Goldberg.

I've never known anyone to be called Whoopee other than Whoopee Goldberg. But then I've never ever met anyone or heard of anyone called Oprah before old Winfrey. So it doesn't mean that there aren't, it might be, well, you'd think there'd be huge amounts of people called Oprah after Oprah Winfrey being as popular as she used to be.

Althea. Althea. Alexandra.

There used to be a time in my kind of lifetime in my, you know, when people named their children after somebody in the family, you know, like after a parent. I mean, some places, I mean, if you, if you look in Box City, about juniors, there are where people are, the parents actually called their son exactly the same name as himself. And I can't judge that because that's what my granddad did with my uncle.

My, my uncle was called Eddie or Edward. And my granddad was called Edward. But everyone called my uncle, my granddad, Ted, except me, obviously I called him granddad.

And everyone called my uncle, Edward. My uncle, Eddie. So neither of them got called Edward, yet they both had the same name.

And if that's not enough, what do they call me, Auntie? Eileen, after me Nan, she was called Eileen. It weird, isn't it? So I just realized I can't really make fun of that idea. Because my grandparents did it twice.

And that's how things used to be in the old days. You'd name your kid, maybe either one of the kids. And I think it was the eldest, the eldest daughter was named after me Nan, the eldest son was named after me granddad.

But my dad didn't do that. He did. I don't know where he got our names from.

Our first names. I do know where he got my first name from. Because when my dad was young, they used to call him Jason King, after a TV star who played a cop called Jason King's TV show.

And he had this, this long moustache. Apparently, my dad looked like him. And this bloke was a womanizer in this TV show in the 60s.

When that kind of stuff was allowed. And I'm saying no more. And apparently, my dad was quite popular with the ladies when he was younger.

And they they named him Jason King. And when I was born, he called me Jason. So I was named after a TV character.

Basically. Or you could put it a different way. I was named after a nickname that he was given when he was sowing his oats as a young man.

Young man. Hmm. A bit of a weird.

Well, maybe it's not weird. Precious. Okay.

I want to look at some other word names like precious because Porsche. Oh, 20 names similar to precious. Honeystea.

Rainbow, but not spell is rain as in r e i g n bow. Hot, hot, hot insia. Flora.

My goodness, Sahara. Charlene. Carlitos.

Praise. That's what I'm looking at. These other ones got nothing to do with what I'm thinking.

Because I see precious. And then I see praise. That's what I'm talking about.

Those kinds of names princess, that kind of name. Queen. Those kind of heavenly.

That's another one. Those. There's something.

It feels wrong. I don't know why. Just feels wrong.

Wonderful word names. Yeah, it's very strange. Praise.

One of the other words that are like praise. Maybe that will give me similar to praise. Delight.

Yeah, that's another one. Obedience. Blimey.

Imagine calling your child obedience. Integrity. Wow.

That's the kind of thing. Pleasant. What is it? What about this one? What's your name? My name is simplicity.

But it's not a sanitary towel. Porsche. Sincere.

Diversity. Wow. That's a one.

Can you imagine? That's I don't know. So delight. Let's see anything that's similar to delight.

Go for girls names. Cherish. Yep.

This is exactly what I was looking for. The amount of times I've seen these names, or met women with these kinds of names. And it's just really over the years, you know, when I was in London, more than around here.

Empress. Empress. Blimey.

What's your name? My name's integrity. Eloquence. Shut up.

Praise. Okay. So there's obviously quite a few religiousy kind of names.

So 20 names similar to praise. Delight. Obedience.

That's kind of seen that before me. Pleasant. Sincere.

Wow. Let's have a look at diversity. See what other ones are like diversity.

I'm sure there's a few diverse ones. Bronze. These are names.

These are these are female names. Apparently bronze. Gandalf.

That's a boy's name, isn't it? It's not even a real name is a Gandalf. If you call your child Gandalf, he should be put in prison. Diversity.

Philosophy. My name's philosophy. My parents are on drugs.

Eccentricity. I mean, what's next calling your kid Alzheimer's? I mean, come on. You're just giving it like something just just what's wrong with Steve? Or Adam? You know, come on.

I got no patience for this. But enough now. I'm not continue.

I am so angry at the world. That's good, though. I mean, it's it's it's nice that people have interested names.

Nice for them, I'm sure. Just a bit. You know, I mean, a bit.

Hmm. A bit. I don't quite get it.

And I know ultimately, it's got nothing to do with me. You know, I know that. I'm aware of that.

However, what's that noise? Oh, here is something. Here is some banging or something. Probably someone with loud music.

Hmm. I got delivery the other day, and the shop has sent me a message saying, we'd love to hear about your delivery experience. Really? Well, the experience is this.

They delivered the package. That was it. I opened the door.

And I brought the package inside. Do you want emotions attached to that? I'm not sure if I can offer that service. Don't really feel that emotional about the experience, if I'm completely being truthful.

They delivered the package. Tell us about your experience. Was it wonderful? No, no delivery experience has been wonderful.

It's nice when things get delivered, you know. But I can't say I'm that excited. Oh, that's a shame.

We put a lot of effort into that. We knocked on your door and everything. We brought the package all the way upstairs.

Yeah, I know. Yeah, I had a delivery, a package delivered to me the other day. Postman or woman, I don't know, knocked on my door.

So I went, answered the door. There was a package on the doorstep. And I started to open it.

I thought, I didn't know, I'd not ordered anything, but I thought, oh, okay, maybe someone sent me something. I opened it up. Didn't really, like, what am I looking at here? And then I saw the address was wrong.

Same number, but a completely different road. I was in the wrong house. How did I get here? It's like, oh, I had to leave.

I was embarrassed. No, I actually ended up having to take it around to their house because, you know, I wanted to explain. Instead of just putting it through their letterbox, I knocked and said, look, I opened it.

And then I handed them the dildo. And I was like, I'm sorry about that. They said, have you used it? I said, no.

Are you sure? No. But I just, I just was just moving on from that. Anyone, anyone been to Peppa Pig World? Anyone been to Peppa Pig World? Oh, it's wonderful.

Peppa Pig World. Oh, oh, Peppa Pig World. So yeah, I handed it over.

I said, look, she said, oh, oh, in that case, so you brought this round. When we get any of your mail, we'll bring it around to you. Or I'm sure she said the next time we get.

I don't know what that noise is. Sounds like me. Sounds like a bell that sounds like a cat.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

But it might not be. There's a video here saying that BlackRock own everything in the world. BlackRock was BlackRock.

BlackRock. OK. BlackRock investment range and services.

Oh, I can't own everything. Oh, wow. Assess assets under management.

According to this BlackRock, it's an investment management company. Assess assets under management. 9.496 trillion U.S. dollars.

Second quarter 2021. Revenue in 2021. Twenty two billion U.S. dollars.

That's their revenue. Blimey. So Larry Fink, he is the.

It says here is net worth is one point one billion. Obviously, it's a it's better than better than having piles, but it's just surely. If he's the chairman and CEO of a company that makes that much money.

Then I'd have thought it'd be worth a lot more than that. A company that's worth nine point four nine six trillion U.S. dollars. Revenue of twenty two billion dollars a year.

Then I'd have thought he'd be on it'd be worth billions. He's been the SEO CEO rather since 1988. Thing is, no one really knows how much he's worth really today.

What is BlackRock known for? BlackRock was founded as a standalone investment management company focused on providing asset and risk management services to clients. The firm brings together expertise across capital markets, sectors as well as assets, allocation, portfolio management, financial modeling and risk management disciplines. I don't understand any of that.

BlackRock is the world's largest asset manager with a profit portfolio in excess of nine point five trillion dollars. And what's the largest company? Is it is it Amazon? World largest company. Oh, Walmart.

But is that based on money or is that based on employees? Because Walmart has got two million three hundred thousand employees. Number second is State Grid. Never heard of State Grid, but they've got eight hundred ninety six thousand three hundred and sixty employees.

Walmart. I've heard of them. We don't have Walmart here as far as I'm aware.

I know what they are. And Amazon is one million three hundred thirty five thousand employees. Largest list of largest companies by revenue.

OK, Walmart. Blimey. Oh, OK.

Walmart. Revenue five hundred and fifty nine million U.S. dollars. Thirteen.

Wow, they only make I know only, but they make taking five hundred and fifty nine million, they make 13 million a year. Doesn't sound like a lot, does it? I think. Amazon, this has got to be a lie.

This has got to be a proper old information. Amazon, three hundred and eighty six million U.S. dollars revenue, and they make a profit of 21 million. Now, if that was the case, there'd be no billionaires.

They would, you know, if they were only making three hundred and eighty six million. I know it's a lot of money to us, but I'm talking about two. It's got to be wrong.

It's wrong. Amazon make a lot more than that. I mean, if they require a thing, they acquired whole.

A whole foods market. In 2017 for 13.4 billion. So they're clearly making a bit of money.

OK, so this is wrong. This is completely wrong. I've got the correct information here.Net income. Twenty one billion in 2020. Total equity in the company is 93 billion.

Jeff Bezos owns 14 percent of the company, I think. Oh, yes, 14 percent voting power, 10.66 percent economic interest. Oh, dear.

So it's one point four, six, eight million worldwide, but eight hundred and ten thousand in the U.S. employees. Oh, Andy Jassy. OK, blimey.

So, yeah, that that makes more sense. Revenue 2020, 453 billion. Blimey.

Wow. That's the revenue. So it doesn't give the profit.

This is net income. Isn't that the amount before tax? So twenty one point three, three, one billion to twenty one billion before tax. So after tax, probably about twenty five billion.

Knowing them controversial, very political, very political. Anyway, that just grabbed my interest. What I am interested in is what is state grid? Oh, it's electricity company.

It's a Chinese state owned electricity company in China or China. China, as some people call it, China, China. One.

OK. Wow. So it's blimey.

I mean, you think if that's the company that's keeping the whole of China lit up and working, it's a huge company, which it is. Apparently it's got eight hundred ninety six thousand people working for them. Isn't it interesting that the top out of the top.

Ten companies in the world. One, two, three, four, five in the United States. One, two, three are in China or out of the top five, the top five biggest companies in the world, the biggest businesses in the world.

Two of them are from the United States. Three of them are from China. That's the top five.

But then number six, seven, eight are United States because Apple, CVS Health and United Health. Imagine their insurance companies today. Then you've got Berkshire Hathaway.

Of course, that's Mr. Buffett. Buffet. Anyway, it's good to learn some new stuff, I suppose.

What's the lowest one down? What's number 50? Anthem. Honda. Isn't it weird? Number 47, Ford.

Ford would have been number one hundred years ago. Wow. Interesting.

What about what's his name? He makes the electric cars. Where's he? It's not even anywhere near Apple's number six. That was a train.

Trains doing their thing. That's interesting. It's nowhere to be seen.

But it will be though. I bet you the old motor that will be at the top in a few years time. Anyway, I'm gonna go.

Thank you for listening to my very interesting conversation. Take care. Remember to be kind to yourself because you deserve to be happy.

Do something nice. Be gentle with yourself. Lots of love.

Bye.
