Hello and welcome to jasonnewland.com. My name is Jason Newland and this is... This is... What is it? What is it? Let me bore you to sleep. Please only listen when you can safely close your eyes. Um yeah, so basically what this is is I am... This is my podcast which I do regularly although I don't think I've done one for a couple of days.

And I'm also streaming live on Fastbook. I don't want to wear my glasses. There you go, I've got my glasses on.

So in fact, that's not too bad. There's not too much of a glare in my glasses which is okay. So basically, I'm streaming it and I'm streaming me making the podcast.

Does that make sense? I hope so. Oh yes, now I've got to check to see if I've got any weird food stains on my t-shirt but I don't seem to have which is good. So today I had a bunch of stuff to do and I didn't feel particularly well so I didn't go out at all.

I was supposed to go to the doctors and then to the opticians and I was going to get some food and I was going to enjoy the four different bus rides, four different bus journeys. So I was so looking forward to that. Oh couldn't wait but hey, didn't happen in the end.

I did wash my hair. I'm pretty sure that every time I wash my... more of the colour goes out. It's almost like I'm rinsing out the darkness of my hair and left with more.

I'm looking at it, I'm kind of turning my head a little bit. I think I might be going grey. Really? Yeah, not only for the last 15 years.

It's just... I don't like it. I don't... not that bothered but I am. But I'm not but I am if you know what I mean.

I am but I'm not but I am and it's kind of one of those situations. Now from tomorrow I will be streaming on Instagram as well live with my recordings or my podcasts. Now I kind of have to force myself to do the streaming because a podcast you know it's quite comfortable to just talk.

The thing is doing the streaming is a little bit different. It's a little bit of a... it's a mild distraction if you know if you know what I mean. It's seeing my face puts me off.

It does. I mean ideally I would have it so I had the back camera of the phone filming me but then I wouldn't know if it was filming me or not or if it was just filming the wall. So this is you know the way to do it at the moment, at the moment.

But I'm going to look as I do more of this. I'm going to look at ways of streaming and you know. So for now I'm doing Facebook.

I've experimented with Instagram but the really need a phone to do Instagram through a decent picture. So I'm organizing that. I'm sorting that bit out.

So tomorrow hopefully I'll be streaming live both to Instagram and to Facebook when I do a podcast. But it won't be a... Hi Matt who's listening and watching. It won't be a one of those where you just stream it once and it goes to different places.

It will be okay. It will be they're going to be streamed individually. So nothing's being shared.

It's just I'm sharing the experience as it were. In fact you'll get probably a different angle if from Instagram to what you get here. Don't worry there won't be no side view.

Not with my nose. Ben says hi. Just a quick hello.

Got a shoot. Shoot what? You playing football? Hi Ben. So you know there we go.

But at the same time I don't want to... I want to remember that I'm doing this for my podcast listeners. But at the same time I am also doing it for the stream people that are streaming. But the people that are streaming is very small amount of people.

But then there's maybe not a huge amount but there's a lot more watch the videos afterwards on YouTube or maybe Instagram or whatever. And YouTube eventually as I'll be doing YouTube live streams on there maybe next year. By the time I have to get enough subscribers on YouTube.

So if you want to see me on YouTube and you're a YouTube user which is pretty much everyone in the world. If you go to my channel it's just Jason Newland. You'll see my funny face on there.

If you subscribe because once I get enough subscribers I have to have a thousand. I've got 300 and no 538 something like that. So I'm over halfway.

I mean you might think well if you've been doing this for 16 years how come you've only got 538 subscribers? Well it's pretty much a new YouTube channel. It's not it's not one that I've been actively doing anything on. I've had it for three years I think.

But all I did was just upload some old videos. I made the odd new one along the way but I haven't given it any really any attention. So that's starting to change.

I've uploaded all of my podcast episodes onto there in the format of basically audio. So you can I can share them from a speaker to podcast host that I use onto YouTube and it just comes up as there's no movement or anything but you can just listen to the podcast. However what my plan is is to start making YouTube videos as well in the future.

Not right now. Not right now. In fact I might not stream on YouTube.

I might just make videos just share the videos on there. But we'll see. Well I'm already doing that actually.

I'm already sharing the videos on there. Gemma's on there. Hi Gemma.

She's on Facebook. Facbook. You know what I had today.

I had someone. I can't read it off because I'm using the phone but someone added me. I've had a few extra ads on Facebook lately.

Friend requests. Maybe I mean Kerry. Kerry's on Facebook saying hi.

I need to make it. Well I don't do a live stream on Spreaker. I could do.

I could do that as well. There's no reason for me not to do a live stream on Spreaker. Which means I could do a live stream for people.

Does that make that available on the podcast hosts? I'm going to look into that. Yeah I've had a few friend requests on Facebook the last few days. And it might be because I'm a little bit more active on Facebook doing streams and stuff.

I don't know. But I had someone add me without a picture on their profile. So I didn't add them.

I don't add anyone unless they've got a picture on their profile. Because I just don't know who they are. And you know unless it's someone that I know.

And then there was someone that added me. And I've had a few dodgy people. People that are clearly scammers and stuff.

So I generally try to avoid those. And then I had someone add me who started saying how are you? How are your family? And I thought I didn't know who they were. I added them like I do anyone generally.

And I didn't know what to say. Because I don't know the person. Maybe I'm weird.

But I just struggle to have those conversations with someone I don't know. Hi Jason Newland says Jay.Me and the wife are watching Kerry Wordsworth.

Keep up the good work. I watched.Me and the wife are watching Kerry Wordsworth.

Keep up the good work. You never fail to bore me to sleep. Thank you.

I can't read any more of what you said. Is that you and your wife Kerry Wordsworth? All right. I thought it looked like you and your wife are watching Kerry.

Well you're not watching me though. You're watching Kerry. But I got you.

I think I understand. Plus my, I can just about read. Oh I saw something really exciting.

Thank you Jay. I saw something quite exciting today. It was on YouTube and Apple Glasses.

They're going to be launching their Apple Glasses soon. Now they've got the technology apparently where you don't need to put your own lenses in for your glasses. If you've got a prescription on your lenses you don't need that because you can adjust the lenses to suit your own eyesight.

How amazing is that? How amazing? You know if a cheaper version came in because obviously Apple is not going to be cheap but if another company like let's say Amazon came along and decided to do their version of that they could end up closing down all the opticians. Because no one would need an eye test because you just have the same pair of glasses and you just readjust them to what you want. Because that's what you do in the opticians anyway isn't it? Like better worse better worse better worse all that stuff.

Well you can do that yourself. That's amazing. I suppose a downside is because opticians do other things like they test behind your eyes and test the stuff that you won't get with a pair of Amazon specs.

So there's the medical side that you won't benefit from. But who knows who knows maybe they can they might x-ray the back of your head. It's possible.

God I'm looking so old. Honestly if you look at some of my younger things I look younger. I guess we all did didn't we though.

We all looked younger. We all look older even even a nine-year-old could say that. You know I look oldie.

I'll never so old now. A couple years ago I looked so much younger. So I guess it's just standard.

But I'm thinking about getting the Apple glasses for that one reason. Can you imagine okay it's an expense but you think that every year or every two years you can readjust the lens or whenever you need to. They've also got lenses so you can see in the night time.

So like you can um I don't know what they call that night vision probably. But you can also magnify so you can almost turn them into binoculars. I'm making this bit up but I do have a recollection in the past.

Most recollections are from the past I guess of being able to do that. Now that might have been with the Google glasses. I don't know because Google glasses apparently they've stopped doing them.

Microsoft glasses I'm not sure. I think they're in the process of doing some stuff. Amazon probably as well.

They're always in something aren't they always doing something. But I quite like the idea of Apple glasses and it might be weird but I quite like the idea of having glasses and being anywhere and be able to know who that person is. I know that a lot of people would think well that's an infringement on privacy.

Well your privacy goes out the door soon well as soon as you go out the door. You can only have privacy at home. You can't have privacy in the street.

There's no such thing. But I don't know. Just imagine being able to go up to someone and say hi Steve how you doing? Are you all right? How's Tiddles your cat? Um oh um I hope your baby girl's all right.

I heard she had a cold and like you'd be like who are you? But you've just like ID'd them on your glasses and then you've gone into their Facebook page and got all this information about them just by you know just walking down the street. Great for sales people.

Can you imagine like you go up to someone someone's you're selling cars for example cars and a customer comes in and says hello you all right and then you can straight away know who they are go to their Facebook page see the pictures see their interests probably get access to the kind of programs they like to watch so you can find out first of all what kind of cars they like what kind of cars they've had in the past maybe even they've posted what the kind of car they're looking for you can see what football

team what sport they're into you get all this information so it's almost you can build this false rapport which is what rapport is isn't it it's false you can build this false rapport with the customer and they're gonna like you they're gonna like you ever so much they're gonna want to buy off you um jay says being great to catch you live got to go and walk my two crazy pups now no doubt i will be listening to you this it's 2am tomorrow okay cool jay uh go and have fun and i can't see yeah

anything over a few a couple of sentences the phone won't allow me to actually i'm just trying to look oh it did um all right 2am this morning sometimes i press it and nothing happens sometimes i press it and nothing happens and other times i press it and nothing happens but then sometimes it does work it's a bit like my middle-aged willie you know really works but when it does oh i get excited i do in fact i wrote a poem last night if anyone's interested i might read it later so yeah the thing is

my ipad's over there recording and i still wonder oh yeah it's still recording the other thing the other thing is i don't know if i want to do if i move it there because i don't know how long i've been talking for when i do a stream i tend to talk for longer and i don't know why i think it's because the time goes quicker the time really shoots by and suddenly in an hour and a half i'm still here just rabbit on rabbited and rabbiting there used to be a song um by chas and

dave in the uk charts for those not in the uk and it was called rabbit rabbit was it rabbit but the songs like rabbit rabbit rabbit rabbit rabbit rabbit and he was basically just talking about somebody might have been his wife i don't know who kept talking rabbit rabbit rabbit rabbit rabbit rabbit you could rub it for sainsbury's was it uh but it was funny song carries in the house hard carry that was a bit weird my hands i haven't done a deep sleep whisper today to be fair i haven't done anything to be that's

the honest truth i'm now doing the laundry for my neighbor and he's uh his washing machine broke so he does his laundry at mine every week as i just realized he's gonna be knock on my door in half an hour but then i'll be finished by then anyway so it's fine but other than that i haven't really done anything i've just i've been i spent a lot of time in bed today just lying there and i had this two dreams today i'll tell you the first one because i remember the second one very vividly so

i'll tell you the first one and if i'm gonna write down i can't believe this right i've got all these desks i've got two big desk and a table everything's spread out nice and neatly and i still lost my pen don't know don't know where it is how weird i might get one of those pen things you know the what's a pot isn't it basically you put pens in i might get one of them because this is my office now this is my this is what i've it's gonna say always wanted i mean it's not

even in the top 500 of what i've always wanted but this is something i've quite liked the idea of a layout where everything is fairly organized and i'm not having to move stuff around every time i want to do something so when i was on that one table there i was moving this over there this over there bringing this here because there was no space on the table now i've got got that laptop there got this little laptop here i've got the ipad over there and i've got the camera on the tripod there got the

microphone here i've got the recording stuff on the other table as well over there which is all connected to the ipad and it spread out maybe the pens just got lost because it's such a big area maybe you went for a wander you know i thought i'd go and check it all out and it's lost somewhere like skywalker got lost remember i think yeah the dreams i was going to write down one of the dreams because one had quite good meaning okay the second dream not the first dream the second dream i was in this

factory working but i wasn't doing anything no i had uh oh yeah i had a palette to to do as well as the other stuff i was doing so i decided to do the palette and get that out of the way some unpacking i don't know it wasn't a real job it was a dream so i kind of i'm lazy i'm actually lazy in my dreams and i am in real life you know i just didn't do much but then my supervisor came up to me and said oh i said what she said oh i

know something i said well we all know something don't we she said no i know something about you i said okay what she said i said what was the arm for you know i'm you're like cow she said it was a bit rude i said no i'm not calling you a cow cows go she said i'm gonna hurt a cow go ah i said you know what i mean though he said no no you're being pedantic no no you are and she said you're gonna have a different job i said well you're sacking me she

said well no you'd be sacked you would never i'm not i'm not saying you're gonna have to get another job i'm saying you're gonna have a different job here i said doing what she said oh i'll tell you in half past two that was specific the time half past two i'll tell you i said okay so i went out and had me lunch and i got some chips and some weird stuff happened there i forget what it was but it was strange it was strange and then i got in and i was i had a

new job but i didn't understand what the job was i didn't understand the title and no one would explain it to me it was some kind of technician but like what what does it mean no one knew and then my supervisor came up and she's laughing she said oh it's okay it's just the same job as you've always had just a different title it's like oh great very weird now the other dream wow the other dream so i went i had uh an encounter should we just call it an encounter an encounter with a female

and i think she had ginger hair but she was yeah we you know we um we got sweaty and stuff so i was like okay and then we had to go somewhere and we ended up in this place it was like a like a self-help group like a group therapy session and i didn't really know what it was about but there was one man who was getting very very upset and no one's you know the the person who was leading it didn't seem to really be doing anything he was very uh non yeah he just

sort of sat there basically didn't do anything and i just i was sitting there getting a little bit frustrated because i wanted to say something i wanted to you know sort of help out so what i did is i went over and started talking to him now this is weird because i saw myself in the third person so i actually saw myself walk over there and start talking to him and he was saying oh he had no reason uh to carry on and he he'd done nothing decent and he was worried all he's really down

and i said to him um it was quite uh profound but i forget what it was but i remember one part of it i was saying look if you kept track daily if you had a little pad on you and you kept track of the nice things you do for other people it doesn't matter what it is could be hope opening a door for them uh giving them a cake and the the less nice things maybe the things are negative things and you kept a track of those you know like pushing someone in the road

or just the standard things that we do and i said if you if you if you if you keep track of that stuff at the end of the day you look at that list you get more of um an understanding and more of a reality of how you're doing as a person as opposed to how you feel you're doing get more of uh an understanding you know if you're looking at a list and you're saying okay well what have you done isn't very you know that you're not pleased with something you did that wasn't very

kind maybe you had an argument with a with a midget or i don't know whatever you just whatever it was and the list of stuff that you've done that was nicer would be longer than the list of things you did that weren't very nice unless of course you really are an arsehole but i don't think that many people are really in that category most people are generally i think more towards the the nicer part but providing things that go in their way some people need things to go their way don't they in order to be

nice without you know so they don't realize that actually things do go their way when they're nice things are more likely to go your way to go well when you're nice to people when you do nice things but it's one of those things like how do you force yourself to do that when you're not in the mood you know but anyway i probably not explained it very well but it was life-changing for him and i thought um i was gonna do like i'm gonna write that down and maybe write a book about it and then

having said it out loud i realized it's rubbish it's really there ain't even a not even a pamphlet not even a piece of toilet paper could feel you know just it was a nice idea but i don't know vanessa says jason thank you for being amazing we love you sending loves from canada thank you vanessa it's very kind of you um so i've only got four people watching i guess i guess i guess i guess i guess if i continue the podcast in streaming the podcast in you know i'll get more people watching stuff gradually

over time but something that probably will happen if i give a specific time when i'm going to podcast then then it'll be different carol says hello i've just logged just dropped a log in the toilet hi carol vanessa says say hi to kevin he's over sitting on the couch no i don't want to say hi to kevin you can't make me you're not my boss you're not my real dad hi kevin hi kevin sitting on the couch what why is he sitting over there vanessa have you farted again is he trying to avoid your big

smelly farts oh that's wrong i shouldn't say stuff like that i'm sorry i forget i'm the only one that farts no one else in the world farts just me just me i remember i dated a woman once and she never farted and she really believed that she never farted and at night probably about an hour and a half after being asleep they all they all released so that it all happened when she was asleep like continuous honestly i woke up once didn't know what it was i thought and i actually thought an orchestra had broken

into a bedroom and started playing like i just thought what the hell is that it was her farting um vanessa said yes i farted i'm glad i encourage farting because let's face it if we never farted we would explode carol i'm having noodles and broccoli i know this is a boring podcast but blimey you're gonna i'm gonna read read out people's dinners now um noodles and broccoli that's that's not a bad little combination actually i do like a bit of broccoli you know yeah i do it's weird one of those things that a lot of

people don't really like but i do like a bit of broccoli i think it's quite tasty and if it's done with butter which i don't do myself but when i do vegetables um all my vegetables is just like boiling water and that's it or steamed yeah like i really cook very often but i've tasted vegetables done nicely and they like even even carrots can taste nice they can it's hard to believe even carrots can actually taste like really really nice like really like just tasty the carrots they're not known for being tasty i mean even

rabbits ain't that fast to be honest you know they'll eat them because they've got nothing else to eat but they'd prefer oh the internet just cut out even with see this internet that i've got on my phone it's it's 4g so it's not 5g i have got 5g on the laptop but 4g on the phone so it's an iphone it's not 4g i don't know equipped but it's still fast it's still like uh i tested it and it was like 90 plus megabytes a second compared to my broadband internet which is about 38 megabytes a

second so um but the laptop is i was getting over 100 megabytes a second and it's 5g so it's a lot quicker and i think it will just keep speeding up um i don't want to talk i'm just showing off here when i um oh i've got 5g i think what's amazing um there's been i'm not ignoring the comments on on facebook about all the different things you're eating but uh venice said i fart and pull the cover over his head and oh that's wrong and yeah if your information says he's eating shrimp and lobster

with garlic butter no wonder you're farting i mean that's just that's just a fart in a bowl isn't it oh that tastes nice although i don't like shrimps don't like shrimps molly molly molly molly's uh watching hi molly how's your baby doing molly how's your baby see this is good because some of the people that are watching the stream actually listen to the podcast so for necessary i'm not having beans and eggs i don't know i think what you're having is probably even worse than beans and eggs honestly beans and eggs avoid them because of

how much they fart seriously lobsters are known for it beans and eggs just avoid them they run if but if beans and eggs see a lobster and a shrimp walking down the street they leg it honestly jump in the bushes and hide molly says baby's doing really well sleeping that's good i don't know what else to ask um that's good good good good good yeah it's good because some of the people i said are listening will listen to my podcast mind you i don't need to get to the point carol says my husband's back is

better i don't care vanessa says maybe ask her how she's doing shut up vanessa what's it got to do with you carol carol i'm glad your husband's back is better vanessa what's it got to do with you maybe i why don't you ask her how she's doing you're there you're all watching at the same time why don't you ask her why have i go i've got to do everything don't tell me what to do you're lovely oh thank you are you talking to molly or me molly is back molly vanessa i don't care you don't

care is that a piggy bank jason um well it's not an omelet is it is it a piggy well to be fair it's probably the the most it looks more like a piggy bank than anything else you'll ever see in your life it is a piggy bank i was quite surprised when i got it because it's shaped as a pig vanessa says she is not my friend who molly stop picking on molly vanessa okay i'm going to introduce you to i'm i'm shouting i'm going to introduce you molly meet vanessa vanessa meet molly both of

you are regular listeners and stuff and uh of my stuff so you've got something in common so there you go you know do you know how many people right a couple of years ago i did um streaming i streamed on facebook every night for a little while and loads of people sort of got to met each other and actually became friends on online on facebook with each other it's true it may be boring but it's true vanessa she's not my friend i don't like new people neither do i i struggle with new people if i'm

in the street if i'm with someone in the street and they a friend of theirs comes up and says hello i walk away i don't want to know i don't want i don't want to meet anyone new my oldest brother did that as well with someone that i was actually living with he was a friend of mine and me and my brother were walking down the street and my friend walked up i said all right mate how you doing this is uh this is my brother i was really excited my brother was like huh so

it's like okay that was very awkward and it really wasn't interested and i can understand it vanessa don't worry about it molly knows you were joking that's the thing you know what when you do no don't go away and i'll just sit back away quietly there's a hero and her name is vanessa if you you know with texting and sending written messages it's really hard i don't know about you but i struggled to gauge where the um the emotion behind it uh what the meaning is so i remember i had a text message from girlfriend

and all i did i just texted i said do you fancy going to uh do you fancy going to italian restaurant tonight like we did on our anniversary do you fancy going to the you know italian restaurant after you've done the laundry so i'm at work and i get a message saying after i've done the laundry i will be packing my stuff up and packing your stuff in fact and leaving it on the doorstep for you to collect you sexist pig i'm not your servant or your slave so i didn't know what to make of

that so i texted back i said so do you want to go to the restaurant is it or do you want it to go somewhere else and so i don't know how to read i do know how to read i'm just not sure how to you know with uh look into things because i remember for example years ago my my dad wrote me a letter that i found uh he's i don't know if he was going to give it to me but i actually found it um it was addressed to me i was like that's

weird he's still alive and everything and for years you know before that well just after reading i started to think you know what i think i might be adopted i think i might be adopted and you know after reading that letter i thought you know what that explains some stuff because some of the stuff he said is like really pointing me towards considering maybe even getting a private detective to search out to see if i'm adopted because i don't know that's i'm not sure if that's what it meant i'm not sure if i was just

got the wrong end of the stick as you do sometimes i was only you know quite young three years ago and so yeah i mean the letter basically what it said was um dear jason you adopted there was a train in the background which is weird because you know reading that and there's actually a train in the background as a reader so so yeah um sometimes i do wonder where the farts come from because they seem to be i don't know they can't seem to come from further up vanessa do you do you live low

close to a train track and what because i could hear the train no i'm about 200 miles away i just got really good hearing you know what the answer is yes and the answer is no because it's not that close it's really not it's not but um it's there's fields so the train track to get to the train track we've got walked to the end of the road that way and then walk around which is getting further away from the house and then going all the way across the field you know the the length of

field uh a field field not a playing field but like a where they grow things so i don't know how far that is a half a mile away maybe a mile i don't know what what the distance is but for some reason and it's not always sometimes i can't i don't get to hear it but it's yeah like but there's no sheep there but there's um it's there's a couple of squirrels and stuff but it's like cornfields you know where they grow corn not corn but corn um i don't know what they grow maybe potatoes

maybe carrots i'm not sure but that's where the railway line is and i don't seem to hear it during the day but i hear it at night because i don't know i think it's it's an echo this almost like there's an echo they grow squirrels there vanessa says are you smoking something squirrels i love squirrels you know i don't understand why squirrels have such a hard time in this country there's those who say all squirrels they're just rats without rings or something i don't know what they call them um well they're just rodents well yeah

they are rodents and then that i i never said anything and then there's this whole racist thing going on with squirrels like oh we don't like the what is it the brown squirrels but we like the red squirrels we don't like the red squirrels like the blue squirrels i don't know whatever the indigenous species of squirrel squirrel that was in this country and has been kind of removed by oh is it the gray squirrels see i don't care for me that's like saying um we shouldn't like anyone in america unless they're indigenous to the population

you know like well that's most of people in america that's not fair it's not their fault is it it's not the gray squirrel's fault that they were introduced into this country from squirrel land or wherever say squirrel i think i'll calm the baby squirrel molly have you got a squirrel i i love squirrels i do i genuinely in nine in 2000 into 2014 i wasn't very well molly's gonna call the squirrels do they come to you but in 2014 i wasn't very well and it's before the year before i moved in there and part of

my daily getting well again kind of getting back to you the more you say it the more it doesn't sound like a word squirrel squirrel squirrel squirrel squirrel squirrel squirrel squirrel squirrel squirrel squirrel squirrel you're right you know squirrel you know some people say um tortoise they saw tortoise Tortoise.

I've always called them tortoises, tortoise, but other people call them tortoise. Weird. I think the most important thing in life, one of the most important things, breathe, that's important, don't hold in the farts.

The one is don't correct people with their pronunciations of words. That's something that I think is one of the most annoying things is to be corrected. I think probably harder when you're like a middle-aged man or woman, I don't know what it's like to be a woman, I'm just talking from my own perspective.

And I don't want to be corrected by anyone. Because firstly, I'm pronouncing things the way I want to pronounce. Secondly, I don't care if it's wrong.

It's right to me. Do not care. One tiny little bit, not a little bit at all.

So I don't correct people. Unless there's a chance of it being funny, I might, but just generally I don't because it's a put down, isn't it? And then if someone keeps correcting you, you feel like you can't talk, can't talk to them, can't say anything because, oh, you're going to correct me. And then that adds tension.

And who needs it? There's 7 billion people on the planet. You don't need that crap from anyone. That's my mentality now.

There's 7 billion people on the planet. I don't need to take crap from one person. Not really ever.

There's so many people out there. So, only be around people that are nice. That's why I never really understood why someone be with someone that's being an arsehole to them.

When you've got 7 billion people. And even if like, oh, the way I look, I don't know if I'll find someone else. A lot of them are blind.

There's a lot of blind people out there. There's a lot of people that are not fussy. That's what I'm looking for.

I'm looking for someone that's blind and not fussy. And someone that can't hear as well. I think I've got a good chance.

Someone that not only can't hear, but they speak a different language. I think then I've got a chance for a relationship. Because I've done that in the past.

I've dated foreign girls. People from other countries. And the relationship lasts longer because they don't know what I'm saying.

Once they find out what I'm saying, then they realize I'm off. Bye. But for the first few weeks, they might actually think that I'm a nice person.

There you go. Canadians are nice, Vanessa said. I don't know.

I don't know if that's true. I've heard. You would just put me to sleep.

Yep, I am. I sent someone to sleep the other day. Actually, I was talking to him.

My friend, a friend was yes, my friend as well. But he's his my friend's friend, really. I was talking to him.

He's like, I just gone completely asleep. Vanessa said we would be on a date and you'd be talking and I'll be like, Yeah, I think that's the thing. Because for me, the ideal person for me to meet would be someone that likes what I do.

So they kind of got to know me a little bit and then rather than be me being a stranger, still be strange. But there's that conditioning because when they hear me talk, they'll be so used to just like getting bored and falling asleep. And it just it just be weird.

Very weird because there's me talking about all my dreams. And I realised I got to ask questions as well. But I'd rather talk about myself.

It's true. That's why I don't have phone calls. I just I just talk.

So I do the podcast. It's not for any reason other than I just like to talk. I don't like to be interrupted by someone else wanting to talk about themselves, which is amazing considering I used to be a counsellor.

Do you know what was said right? This is years ago. Oops, that was nice. All this leg space and I'm only short and I still managed to knock stuff on Facebook, probably about 2007, maybe 2008.

Some people are bloated because a couple of people that I used to know on the comedy circuit were talking about me. They were discussing me saying, I can't believe in Jason's now doing therapy. He's now doing like he's a hypnotist.

And, and they were like, really slagging me off. And because of how I used to be back in my earlier days, because I was a bit of a problem child, I guess. I don't know.

But on the comedy circuit, I used to say things that I shouldn't say. And I was banned from a lot of comedy clubs. I closed down a few comedy clubs, which didn't make me very popular with some of the other comedians.

But I think the door's gonna go in a minute, any minute now. But I couldn't believe that they were slagging me off. It's like, we are allowed to change, aren't we? You know, I was in my, I was like 36, 37 then.

And they were talking about me, what I was like 10 years earlier than that. And we change. If you don't change, you have to change.

We can't be the same person we was 10 years ago. We're the same person, but we're not. We developed, don't we? Didn't we? To be fair, when I went through the anxiety period in 2002 to 2005, and that changed my life.

I was, I spent years trying therapy after therapy, whether it's Reiki, acupuncture, learned meditation, did all kinds of stuff, trying to find a way to reduce my anxiety and to create relaxation within me. And to really, because I was ill, I was very ill with it. And without that, I wouldn't be doing what I'm doing now.

Without, first of all knowing that there is an end. There's, you come out the other end, always. It might, I'm saying it might take too long.

It's always going to take too long. No, every illness lasts too long. It's never good.

No one said, oh, that bout of diarrhea lasted just the right amount of time. No, no, it doesn't. It's always too long because it's horrible.

It's uncomfortable. It's painful. It's whatever.

So that changed me as a person because it was a different kind of suffering that I'd never experienced before. I'd experienced various different kinds like we all do, but that was like on a different level of, it was just weird. It was a very strange period.

So even though I knew hypnosis, I had to almost retrain myself and try and find stuff that works. Stuff that works and slowing down your mind and really getting in touch with the fact that any kind of stress or tension will dissolve. It can't last.

No feeling stays the same. No feeling stays. Everything changes.

It's just the way it is. And I think it's really quite a Buddhist thing, but the good a wing and a wang part, isn't there? No, ying and yang. Wing and wong.

My Kung Fu teacher back in 2004 was called Master Wong. It's true. And it was so funny.

It was only little. I mean, short, very short. Probably wasn't much above my, it's probably about up to there on me.

But wow. He was really good. He did Wing Chun.

So that's, he taught me Wing Chun and Jeet Kune Do as well. So I did that. I did it about a year.

I did it for a year. Ended up breaking my rib. So that was good.

But it's just I remember in 2004, I'll tell you, I've talked about this before, but here's if it's really valuable, really valuable. Hi Rachel. From November 2002, I had the first panic attack when I was at work.

And then all the way through 2003, I continued working. I had some time off a couple of times, but I continued working 2003. And I, I went part time, but I continued working.

And then I ended that job in 2000, November 2003. And I worked part time in 2004, all the way through to about August 2004. So I kept working the whole time, but you know, part time when I was ill.

And what I noticed with the, like the anxiety and I was very, it's almost like I was noticing every single sound. Okay. Every single feeling.

And something really powerful happened. I felt this buzzing in my crotch area. And I instantly went to panic mode.

I mean proper anxiety attack. And I realized it's my mobile phone on vibrate. That's when I realized that I was given control outside.

It's almost like I gave away remote control to everyone that was around me. You know, like whatever you say, whatever you do, if you could just spark me off whenever you want. Vanessa says, bye bye.

Oh, bye, Vanessa. I'm going to be ending in a couple of seconds anyway. And hi, Boston.

So I, I realized then that I didn't want everyone else to have a remote control to my anxiety levels. So I needed to take back that control. Once I realized that something that was nothing to do with me at all, the mobile phone vibrating could trigger that.

And I realized I didn't want to be a Pavlovian dog. It was basically what I turned into a Pavlovian dog. Ring the bell and I will shalavavate.

Shalavavate? I will dribble. No, I don't want to be a Pavlovian dog. I'm not prepared.

And I decided then I'm not prepared to be a Pavlovian dog. And from then on, decided to take back my own control of my own mind. And to take away those remote controls or to stop handing them out to everyone.

Although I wasn't actually handing out remote controls. But you know, I mean, it's almost like they could just say something or do something or move quickly and I'll go into sort of panic mode. I'm like, no, no more.

No more. No mass. No mass.

Right, I'm going to go. So thank you very much for listening. Thank you for all the people streaming as well that come on and said hello.

There's too many to mention. But there's there's been I've mentioned them during the podcast. And tomorrow I'm going to be streaming also on Instagram.

So I'll tell you what you can do for me. Whether you're listening on the podcast or on Facebook, can you do me a favor? Let me know where you're from, what country. So USA, Canada, Denmark, whatever.

And put what time of the day you would like to listen to this to let me boys sleep. If you was going to watch it streamed live, what time of the day or if you weren't going to listen to it being streamed live. And just so I can't cater for everyone, but just want to get a rough idea.

Because if I get 20 people say, well, actually 9pm or 2am in the morning UK time, but just put on what your time is your you know, in your country. And if you're in America, or if you're in a place that has lots of different time zones, put in your time zone, put it put in where you are, because I know that America is so huge that you have different time zones as in Russia, and probably China as well. I don't know.

So just give me an idea. And then I can just have a look at it and see maybe, maybe baby about doing a live stream. Maybe not every day, maybe once a week even I don't know.

But we'll see. Just let me know what you think. Let me know.

Hi, Debbie. Debbie says hi, Jason. Bye.

Thank you. And a blue love heart. What does a blue love heart mean? What does it mean? I'm going to go so thank you for everyone listening, everyone watching.

And remember to be kind to yourself because you deserve to be happy. Do something nice for yourself today. Lots of love.

Bye
