Hello and welcome to Jason Newland dot com. I've got hiccups. This is my name is Jason Newland and this is let me bore you to sleep.
Please only listen when you can safely close your eyes. I have actually got hiccups. It's weird.
Yeah, hopefully they'll go. I think what it is is sometimes I think when you gulp a drink, guys, stop it. No, the hiccups don't sound like anything, but you know, so I think I must have gulped a drink and sometimes when a bit of air, when a bit of air goes down at the same time.
Well, I'm not just going to wait for it to go. I'm just going to continue because I'm a trooper. Are you a super trooper? No, I'm just a trooper trooper.
This is annoying. So it's Thursday, the 9th of September, 2021. I've I've done quite well, I think, for my regularity.
I'm just thinking how often. No, that's not what I want. I'll go away.
I'm just going to see how how many how many days in a row I've done these. So I'll do one now. I did one yesterday, did one the day before, did one the day before that, did one day before that, did one day before that, did one day before that.
And then there was a gap. So yeah, so I've done one every day. One, two, three, four, five.
This is the sixth day in a row. It's not bad, nearly a whole week. Yeah, seven, six.
Wait a minute. Yeah. Oh, blimey.
That's straight. Oh, yeah, because I'm looking at I've gone into my website just to check and I'm thinking, wait a minute, where's all the other podcasts? But I'm actually on the Let Me Boy To Sleep page. That's why it's all I can see.
So yeah, in fact, no, I'm wrong. Wow. No, I'd like one, eight, seven, six, fifth, fourth, third, second, first, 30th of August.
I don't know how many days were in August. Let me just check. You just do the rhyme.
I don't know what the rhyme is. But didn't you go to school? Stop it. It's rude.
And I'll do 31 days. Oh, that's a weird noise. So I didn't do one on the 31st.
Okay, so let's just work that out. So I've done one every day this month this week so far. So this is the ninth day in a row.
Yeah, I was missing stuff out because I thought that was a different podcast, but it's not. It's this podcast. Nine days in a row.
I think that's quite good. And then before that. Yeah, I did.
I did a few anyway. That was the whole point of what I was trying to get there is I've done one every day this month so far. And my aim, my intention, my intention is to continue to do one every day this month.
But I'm doing you know, I'm still I'm doing about the same time of the day. I'm sure I've got some messages to read out but I can't remember what they was. And the the hiccups are going to stop at some point.
They can't go for the whole hour. That would be ridiculous. Excuse me.
Yes, so I've continued my you know, I was talking the last few days I've been trying to be more organized. And I started off doing one because I went a week without doing any recordings. And the stats were higher than they should have been.
And I couldn't quite work out why. So I decided to do like about a week of just one recording. Maybe five days just to see how that was.
And the stats went up. And then I introduced another one. And it went up again.
And now I've introduced a third recording. And again, they've gone up. So yesterday I had 15,000 downloads.
And today, so, so far today I got 12,000. I think. Let me have a look.
Let me have a look. Yeah, 12,000. So there's still a couple of hours left.
So you know, um, the 12,000 has been the same for about half an hour to an hour. So they would have gone up. So they'll be it'll probably be more like 13,000 now.
And I, oh blimey, this hiccup. I don't think I've ever had the hiccups during a recording before. Or maybe I just, I've been a bit more professional and waited for the hiccups to subside before proceeding with the recording.
But not today for some reason. So what I've done is I've stuck to my guns. I've done the Let Me Bore You To Sleep every day, about 11 o'clock in the evening, ish, ish.
And I introduced a deep sleep whisper hypnosis. So I started doing those for the last three days. Including today, I do that around nine o'clock in the evening.
And then I do about two o'clock ish in the afternoon. I started for the last two days. That was a weird noise.
That was a genuine hiccup. That was just and now my stomach's going weird. I just had a I just had a bag of revels.
I mean, a big bag. I'm not eating all of them. But I probably had over half and my stomach starting to react.
Because there's a lots of different flavors there, isn't there? It's like, oh, it's, it's lovely. But here my stomach is, it sounds like a little frog in there. Bonjour.
No, no, sorry. And yeah, it sounds like a little which would be weird if there was one in there. I mean, the likelihood of a live frog being in a sealed bag of revels is unlikely.
And the likelihood of me actually putting in my mouth and not noticing is even less likely. You know, I'm not I'm not dog. I don't just like swallow it whole and not taste anything.
You know, I do chew my food. Yes. Not 700 times, but I do chew them a few times.
And 700 times. Now the reason I say that is because my step mom, my second step mom, my first step mom, so two step moms, my first step mom, her mother, my step grandma, she used to say, you need to chew your food. I don't know how many times 100 times or 50 times or something like that before you swallow.
And I remember saying to my parents and saying to my dad, I don't like visiting that asylum. And he said, you shouldn't call them asylums. They're the mental health facilities, they're psychiatric units, asylums.
That's just a non PC word. You shouldn't. I said, No, but this is the this is the early 80s.
They were still called asylums back then. And he said, Oh, okay, sorry. My bad.
I said, No, no, my bad. It's not used in this country. And not really even in 2021.
But it's definitely not 1981. My bad. Maybe in America, I don't know.
But not in not in not in England. He said, You're really being pedantic today. I said, I know.
I know. So one other thing, Dad, where's my bike? He said, What? I said, Where's a bike you promised me? He said, I never actually promised you a bike. I said, Well, I assumed at some point during childhood, you were going to buy me a bike.
He said, You had a bike when you were six or seven? Yeah, seven. I said, Yeah, but I'm now 12. I can't fit on the bike I could fit on when I was seven.
Not without banging myself in the face with me nuts. Oh, you know, it's I'm not a contortionist. You know? He said, I thought you were a contortionist.
I said, No. He said, What about circus training? What about all this, you know, you've had the circus school you go to? I said, contortionism is part of it. I'm not I know.
I also do tightrope walking, swinging on the swing things, and trampolining, dressing up as a clown, and cleaning out the lion cages. Cleaning out the lion cages, he said, in a very camp way. He said, Well, you don't you? Aren't you a lion tamer? I said, No.
He said, Oh, did you want to know why? He said, No, not really. Fair enough. And then he said to me, Well, how do we get on to this conversation? I said, I was doing a podcast.
And he said, What's a podcast? I said, Oh, it's, it's, it's different, lots of different things. It's basically, it's, it's some, it's sometimes it's like an audio version of a magazine. He said, Is that what you do? I said, No.
He said, What would your, what's yours? Is it an audio version of what? I said, Well, probably it'd be an audio version of staring at a wall. Okay. Sounds boring.
I said, Exactly. Exactly. Why would you want to make an audio? I mean, you mean like an album singing and stuff? I said, No, no, it's just talking.
Talking. I said, Yeah, talking. So no one would want to listen to you talk.
I said, Be surprised. He said, I'm really, really surprised. I said, Did you say you're really surprised or rarely surprised? Because it sounds very similar.
I'm really, really surprised. Okay, again, I'm not sure is it really as in you really are surprised, or really surprised as in like, hardly ever, because it sounds the same. I said, I'm really surprised.
That's still still not sure. What's, what's, what's, what's sure not to be sure about? That's not even a real sentence. He said, I know.
I know I got a little bit little bit excited there. And I said, I noticed you're waving your hands around a lot. He said, Listen, son, don't judge me.
So I'm not judging you. He said, we do know that you're half Italian. I said, Yeah, that's my mother's half, isn't it? He said, he said, Yeah, that's true.
I said, that doesn't affect you. You know, I'm half her and half you. But the half of me that's her isn't you, is it? He said, but we were close.
I said, Well, yeah, clearly you got married, you must have been and you know, you must have at least been intimate at some point. Because, you know, I wasn't a chest tube, was I? He said, Did you say chest tube? I said, No, I said test tube. He said, it still sounds a bit like chest tube.
No, I said chest tube. No, chest. Why would there be a tube made of a chest? But you keep your clothes in it? I said, No, test.
Okay, test. As in testes. Tube as in boob tube.
Boob tube? What's a boob tube? I said, it's an item of clothing. And that's worn by people that have boobs, I think. I don't know, it makes the boobs look like a tube or something.
And they make babies from that. I said, No, what? Are you talking about a tube test tube for boobs? I said, No, it's not about boobs. I mean, you know, it's my favorite subject, but it's all about tests.
We're not talking about test tubes, because you're talking about I don't know, how do we get onto the subject of test tubes? And my dad said, I don't know. He said, I do have one question. I said, What? He said, You got people listening to this, I said, Yeah.
He said, And are you recording now? I said, Well, how do you know? He said, Well, the microphone is a giveaway. I said, Oh, fair enough. And he said, Did you? I said, What was that? It was a weird noise.
He said, Yeah, I just had a bit of anal cramp. I'm fine now. I said, Oh, good.
And he said, I got a question though. I said, All right. So you're talking to me on the podcast.
Yeah. Well, my question is, how do they know which of us is talking? I said, What do you mean? He said, Well, we both sound the same. I said, Well, two things.
First of all, you are my dad, and we're possibly going to sound similar, you know, genetics and all that. Secondly, it's just me talking, isn't it? I'm doing both voices. He said, Yeah, I know that.
Why don't you do a different voice for me? I said, Well, to be honest with you, I wasn't prepared for this conversation. I didn't plan it. I've not got it written down on a piece of paper.
So I didn't know it's going to happen. You don't know what's going to happen. You're just going completely blind, not knowing what you're going to be doing.
I said, First of all, that's probably an unnecessary term. I'm quite hurtful for people that are unnecessarily blind. And second, no one's unnecessary.
Yeah. So it's nice. Just stop it.
And secondly, secondly, and it's an audio track. So you don't go into making podcasts using your eyes. It's a talking thing, isn't it? It's an auditory thing.
He said, Yeah, but you still need to see where the microphone is. I mean, you could be facing the wrong way and no one could hear you. How would you know? And I didn't know what to say to that.
I really didn't. I mean, that was, I mean, I don't know. I don't know what to say to it.
And my dad says, You know, another thing, I said, Well, he said, You know, your, your dad, your granddad was Italian. I said, Okay. And he couldn't communicate.
I said, Well, he said he can communicate with anyone. I said, What do you mean? He said, Well, during the war, he lost both of his arms. I said, Yeah.
I mean, it's horrible. But surprise, I'm only just hearing about it. But okay.
And why? Why are you telling me that? Well, why is that stopping from communicating? He said, Well, he couldn't move his hands around. I said, Yeah, but he could still speak, couldn't he? And he said, Well, yeah, but he spoke Italian. I couldn't, I don't understand Italian.
I said, Look, not being able to speak someone's language doesn't mean that they're unable to communicate. It means that maybe you're unable to communicate with them. It doesn't stop them communicating with everyone else.
And he said, Well, actually, he did a little dance, which was a bit unusual. And I said, What are you doing? He said, Well, I'm learning a flamingo.Me and Doris.
Do you remember Doris? I said, No. He said, Oh, Doris. She used to work in a pet shop around the corner when you was, you know, the house we had before we moved.
Well, yeah, I remember the house before we moved, but I was what, eight years old. And he said, Yeah, it's not really about you. It's about Doris.
I said, Yeah, but you asked me, Do I remember the house? He said, No, it's not about the house. It's about the pet shop. Yeah, but you mentioned the house.
He said, Yeah, but you remember the pet shop around the corner from the house? I still have to think of the house when you mentioned the house. Okay, but do you remember the pet shop? I said, No. He said, Why couldn't you just said that? Why do you? Why do you always have to make things difficult? Why can't you just get to the point? And if there's something you don't know, why can't you just say you don't know it? Why do you have to lie all the time? All the time lie, lie, lie, lie, lie.
I said, I've never lied. He said, Is that true? I said, Of course it's not true. But I don't.
I'm a liar. He said, You lied. When you was five years old.
You knocked over a plant pot. Okay, you knocked it over off the table. And it fell on the floor.
And we came into the living room and said, Did you do that? And you said, No. I said, First of all, I was five. I don't remember that.
And secondly, if I said no, then it probably meant I didn't do it. He said, But you you had the baseball bat in your hand still. And it was covered in dirt.
I said, I was a baseball player. Another lie. Okay, fair enough.
I wasn't a baseball player. I don't remember. I was five years old.
I can't remember everything that happened in my life. And I'm glad I mean, I wouldn't want to remember the birth, would you? He said, I've been trying to forget that birth for years. But I can't.
It's etched in my brain. Your funny, big, massive head popping out. That was awful.
Honestly. It was. Oh, I couldn't.
That was the end of the marriage, really. I said, Dad, that's a horrible thing to say. Like, you can't come back from something like that.
You see something that big coming out. And then I looked down and what I've got, like, how am I even? How can I satisfy someone? It's like that's just, it's a different, it's got what? You're my dad. I don't want to hear stuff like that.
He said I was traumatized. Listen, you're just going in a weird direction. I don't want to hear about your trauma of me being born.
What about what mum went through? He said, well, I don't know. I said, what do you mean? I don't know what she what she went through. Did you ask her? No.
Well, maybe that's why the relationship didn't work. Maybe that's why I now got a step mum instead of my real mum. By the way, where is she? He said, I don't know.
What do you mean you don't know? Well, she went out to get some sanitary towels one day and didn't come back. Okay. That's a bit weird.
And you think he says, yeah, she was on the pill. So what? What do you mean? What's that got to do? Don't worry, you'll find out one day when you have some education. It's about periods and things.
What do you mean like at school? Like double maths period and things like that. He said, yeah, it's exactly that. Yeah.
Yeah, that's what it is, Jason. Yes, double period geography. Why are you making that weird voice for? He said, I thought it'd be good if we could distinguish who's talking because this is very confusing for me and I'm part of the conversation.
I said, confusing for you? What about for me? All these years, all these years, I thought my mum was on an oil rig working to pay for your sex change operation. But no, no, no, no, no, no, no. She just left.
I can't believe it. I'm so let down and so disappointed. And he said, well, didn't you think there was a clue when I got remarried that maybe she wasn't coming back? And he started doing the flamingo again.
I said, well, what is this about the flamingo? Why? Why are you learning the flamingo? I mean, first of all, I don't really know. I know what a flamingo is because it's the pink flamingos are in the opening credits of a TV show. I think it's Falcon's Crest or something like that.
And he said, Falcon's Crest. I said, yeah, remember, we're in 1981. So, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
And it might be Magnum, but I think it's Falcon's Crest. I don't know why, just came into my head. But it was, it might be Magnum.
Could be Dynasty. Do you mean Dynasty? I'm not having that conversation with you, Kane. Is it Dynasty? Is it Dynasty? It doesn't matter.
We love the program. Do we need it to be Dynasty or Dynasty in order to enjoy Joan Collins? No, we can enjoy Joan Collins because she's brilliant. And we love Dynasty or Dynasty.
As much as Dallas, different love, different kind of love. It's like having two children. You don't love them the same.
And I said to my dad, what do you mean you don't love your children the same? He said, no one does. I said, what? He said, yeah, you know, you've got three brothers. You're my least favorite.
What? Yeah, it's natural. No one loves their kids the same. It's a lie.
People lie. It's like, you know, I love you forever. And I promise to be faithful.
You know, just those kind of chuck away lies. It doesn't really mean anything. What? You can't say stuff like that.
I said, he said, look, if you had five fathers, I mean, you've already had three mothers. Yeah, it's funny. Thanks, dad.
If you had five fathers, right, all at the same time. All with different personalities. All with different opinions, different levels, some are kind, maybe some are less kind, some are generous, maybe some are less generous, you know, all different kinds of personalities and human prejudices like everyone has at their various different levels.
There's going to be one out of those five that you perhaps like the most, and maybe one that perhaps you like the least. I said, well, I've only got one, and I know which one I like the least. He said, then that's rude.
Come on, JJ, stop being rude. I'm just trying to point out an idea that maybe you can grab hold of to get a concept of maybe realizing that when you have four children or five children, I forget how many I've got. Was it four? Yeah, four, three, four.
I said, you got four children, they're different personalities. And some of them will share some of the interests that I have. And those that show an interest in what I'm doing will get more of my attention as they get older.
I will be interested in them, because they'll be like a little mirror version of me. And I can guide and pass on my wisdom to them. And almost create another little, it's like a little, like a little branch growing into a tree.
But that branch was from me. I said, are you writing a poem? He said, I'm trying. I've been working on this for about six years.
I said, okay, it's going quite well. Thank you. Better than a flamingo dancing.
And he stomped his feet. He said, look, stop mocking the dancing. You got no idea what a great thing dancing is.
If you just opened your mind and embraced it. For one thing, you wouldn't spend the rest of your life being a virgin. What? He said, yeah, exactly.
Because you'll meet women that will like and respect you and want to spend time with you because you're interested in dancing. And they, a lot of women love to dance. It's not a sexist thing to say.
I said, it might be, you know, might actually be a really sexist thing to say. And you should never say stuff like that. And he reminded me, he says, 1981, such things didn't really exist.
You know, sexism. There was a degree of sexism that was understood. I mean, you couldn't, you couldn't like pat someone on the bum anymore.
Like, what? He said, yeah, you can't pat women on the bum anymore in the office. I said, sorry, can we just rewind there? You, you're telling me you used to pat women on the backside in a workplace? He said, everyone did. It was just natural.
It was a standard thing. I said, you're joking. I said, that's ridiculous.
Even I'm 12 years old. And even I know that's wrong. You don't infringe, invade someone's body space, doing stuff like that.
Unless you're in a relationship with them, you don't touch their body unless you're kind of, you know, involved in them. It's randomly pat someone's behind. And he said, well, no, it's, it's just how things used to be, you know, in, in the past.
So it's just, you know, when you just go along, what's going on? I said, so, so you're telling me that if you was around during slavery, you would have had some slaves then? He said, yeah, probably. I said, what? He said, look, people didn't think it was wrong. I mean, eventually, obviously, someone thought it was wrong, because it got changed.
But people went along with what, if you're born into something, and that's all you see, that's all you know. And, you know, most people wouldn't question it. I said, yeah, but I've been born into this life.
And I kind of like to question everything, especially some of the social norms, and the things that seem to be acceptable. And some of the things on television that just downright horrible, very, I don't know, just wrong. And he said, yeah, I know.
You mean like the A-team? I mean, having, having Boy George on there, I couldn't believe it. I said, no, what are you talking about? He said, nothing. I said, look, Boy George is an icon.
And recently was on the A-team. Is because he is a superstar. Culture Club is not, is one of the biggest, if not the biggest group in the world right now.
Not just in this country, but in America. They are superstars in America. So, well, you, I think you've been a little bit derogatory towards Boy George.
And we all know that Boy George is a perfect human being. And I don't, I don't like the way that you were judging him. Like he was some kind of weirdo that would commit some awful crime and go to prison and then get out.
And everyone seems to have forgotten what he did. And he's still classed as an icon. He said, what are you talking about? I said, oh, nothing.
No way. I'm just, just going off on a random make-believe journey into the future. Future.
My dad says, stop that. No singing. I told you before, if you sing, you're out of the house.
I said, I'm 12 years old. He said, I've been telling you that since you were five and you've already been kicked out three times. Every time you come back, you promise.
Last time you was gone for three weeks. Remember? I, you know, admittedly, I didn't kick you out properly. You lived in the shed.
I don't remember that. Well, you were three. What? You kicked me out of the house into a shed when I was three years old because I was singing.
He said, listen to this. He pulled out a tape recorder and played it to me. And I must admit, he had a point.
That was bad. It was like really bad. I deserve to be kicked out of the house for that.
I mean, my ears are still ringing now. And he said, well, I do have a question for you though, JJ. I said, yes, Dada.
He said, don't call me Dada. Have a bit of respect for your elders. Use your loaf.
Woe betide you. And other random stupid sayings that adults used to say back then. And he said, I do sometimes worry about you.
Also, that's nice. You are a parent. I think worrying about your kids is kind of part of the process, isn't it? He said, no, no, it's unusual.
Normally, I don't care. I said, what? He said, yeah, I don't normally worry about you at all. You are the least favorite, remember? I said, oh, yeah, yeah.
He said, well, I sometimes worry that you're never going to leave. I said, what? Well, I'm worried you're never going to leave the house. Just the idea of you still living there when you're 18 just scares me.
I said, 18 isn't old, you know. Some people stay at home until they're in their 20s, sometimes even 30s. He said, that won't be happening.
I said, what? What do you mean? He said, I'd rather lose my job and lose the house to bankruptcy and let it get repossessed than have you living here until you're 18. I said, wow, that was harsh. He said, harsh? That's not harsh.
That's like 1% of what I wanted to say. Really? He said, yeah. Least favorite, remember? Least favorite? Okay.
Blimey. He said, well, what are you going to do for a job then? I said, I'm 12. He says, never too early.
You know, never too early. I said, well, it's too early for some things. It's too early for some things.
He said, why do you say that twice? Well, because I'm trying to, I don't know. He said, you're trying to think of what to say next, aren't you? I said, no. You knew what you wanted to say, but you couldn't think of it, could you? So what do you mean? He said, I could see there was a glint in your eye.
I was never too early. It's too early for some things. And then your eyes glazed over.
I said, no, my eyes didn't glaze over. How do you know? Were you looking in a mirror? Was I holding a mirror? No. So how would you know if your eyes were glazed over? I said, because my eyes don't glaze over.
How do you know? I don't know. Anyway, there are some things that are too early to get. He said, you remember now, don't you remember what you're going to say? I said, yeah.
He said, go on then. I said, it's kind of lost its power, I guess. But there are some things that are too early to get.
You know, because you're worried, thinking about, oh, I'm 12 years old, and you're talking about what job am I going to get and how I'm going to get out of the house. I'll tell you what is too early to get. What's that? An eviction notice.
Now, son, that might have worked much better. Because it was quite a good joke, potentially. You know, you're 12, I've given you an eviction notice to get out of the house, you know, sort of four years earlier, you know, because you've got got another four years before I can legally kick you out further away than the shed.
And, but it wasn't just a build up, it's the fact that you said eviction, didn't even say the word correctly. I think you really fluffed up that line. And I probably give you two out of 10.
I would say for effort, but you didn't even put much effort into it. I mean, the disguise was terrible. So what do you mean, disguise? You're wearing a flat cap, a false beard, and dressed as a penguin.
I can see it's you. I said, I know you can see it's me. I'm talking, I've been talking to you for the last 40 minutes.
I mean, who did you think I thought you were thinking I was? He said, what? I said, who do you think I thought you were thinking that I was? He said, that's, I mean, I think that was the correct way to say that. So I just banged the microphone. Sorry, son.
That's all right. Don't worry about it. I mean, it is pretty much up your nose.
It's hard to miss. What are you saying? You said I've got a big nose. Yeah, we both have that, haven't we? He said, yeah, fair enough.
Let's just move on. Okay. So the penguin suit.
It's not a penguin suit. It's a costume. I got it from the joke shop.
I thought it'd be funny, but no one's laughed. In fact, no one's even noticed. All I've had is, oh, here comes Jason again.
I hope he's had a wash. But that's rude, isn't it? I said, yeah, exactly. Hope he's had a wash.
He said, no, I mean, not noticing that you've put the effort in to dress yourself up as a penguin. He said, but you know what the problem is? What dad? What's the problem? You know, we went wrong. Where did I go wrong? He said, well, a lot of these people have probably watched documentaries about penguins on television.
I said, yeah. So he said, well, they generally don't have a big ginger beard. I said, actually, some penguins do have beards.
The emperor penguins, I do believe might have a beard, but I'm not sure as I say out loud, if it's true. And he said, why are you talking like that as if there's someone listening? I said, there is someone listening. Who? Eric, Tracy and Bob.
Who are they? That's my audience. Eric, Tracy and Bob. That's my audience.
They are the three people that listen to my podcast regularly, sometimes more than twice a week. So you're telling me you put all this effort for just three people. So actually, no, there's also Molly and, uh, yeah, it's Molly.
So four people, that's all you've got, four people. And that's all the people listen to you ever. Are you serious? And four, four, no, Rachel as well.
And Ben and Blinda. So at least seven people. Wow.
That's just weird. You're weird. I'm not as weird as you.
Yeah, you are. Do me a favor, Dad. What? Can you learn a different dance? Because that flamingo dance is getting boring and I don't want to see it all the time.
He said, I don't dance all the time. Why are you being so dramatic and exaggerational? I said, I don't think exaggerational is an actual word. He said, it is now.
So what do you mean? It is now. What's that? That's not a proper way of saying something. It is now or it is now.
It is now. It is now. That's like an Android talking.
I don't know what you're talking about. You did it again. No, I didn't.
You're just doing it to annoy me now, aren't you? Yes, I am. Okay. Anyway, Dad, I've got to go because I've got stuff to do.
I want to do this podcast. What for the eight people that listen? You know what? If I was, you know, I do this to help people to sleep or maybe relax or, you know, whatever. But if I was to do one person or if I was to do like talk for an hour for one person in a room, I can only see one person at a time and to see eight people would take a whole day.
Yeah, but I can do it in one hour. I can help or I can, I can at least talk and eight people can hear me all at the same time or any time of the day or night they choose because, of course, different time zones. So, you know, just give yourself a little break from the judgment, please, man.
He said, yeah, currently, but when your mum finishes on the oil rig or we've got enough money, I said my mum doesn't work on an oil rig. It was a lie. He told me.
Remember? He said, oh, yeah, I forgot. Anyway, I'll see you later, Dad. My dad went away and yeah, thanks.
I had this text message from someone. Okay. It's someone that clearly doesn't know who I'm, who I am or what I'm doing, but it might be, so I better be careful.
If you do, then hi. So this person said on Wednesday, hello, how are you doing? Send me a message on Facebook. I said groovy, thanks.
I don't know who they are, but they're on my Facebook page. So I just, you know, I don't want to be rude or anything. I don't know who they are, but I said, yeah, groovy, thanks.
And this person said, I'm doing pretty good. I think that might be why I didn't ask them how they were, but I'm doing pretty good. Blessed.
Can't complain. Thanking God for the blessings. Have you heard the great news about me yet? I lost interest at that point.
Then Thursday, are you there? So I thought, yeah, I am. I didn't, I didn't know what they were talking about. I thought they were going to start talking about religion and stuff.
So I kind of didn't really want to engage with that kind of conversation. Yeah. Have you heard the good news? Well, I read about it.
Took me hours. Then she sent me a message. It is a, and I said, I am here.
And he said, it is a FSG family support grant that gives, basically it wasn't a conversation. She just wanted to send me this text message, which I guess she's already, I don't know. I'm not quite sure why.
The family support grant that gives out free money to help all people, young, old, poor, retired, disabled, unemployed, and all citizens of the state for them to maintain a good standard of living. Have you heard from them? My message, I'm not in the USA. Yeah.
You've, this is a message back to me. Yeah. You're free to claim it's from federal government.
It's more or less an empowerment. This new program, I got $90,000 delivered to me when I applied for the FSG program, and you don't have to pay it back. Did you know how apply for it? So this clearly is a scam, is it not? They didn't see, you know, if I'm not in the USA, I can't claim for, well, there isn't going to be a benefit where you can claim $90,000 for no reason.
That doesn't exist. I'm afraid that even I know that. Right? Yeah.
But if you're from another country, it's probably because they're probably, I mean, this person's Facebook page may have been hacked. So that's why I'm not giving you the name of the person, because not someone that I know personally, or that I've had any contact with. But they may have been hacked.
It sounds like it. But I'm not gonna, there's no point me sending a message saying, have you been hacked? Because they've been hacked and they won't get the message. But I've had this, I've had this before.
Once someone sent me some weird messages. And I said, I think your Facebook's been hacked. And they came back.
So what do you mean it's been hacked? I said, Oh, you just send them these, these messages that were clearly spam. And it's like a sound like a scam. And they said, No, that was a serious message.
And I think it was religious or something. As I Oh, okay. And they got upset with me.
But it's not my fault. You know, sometimes people do get hacked, you know, the Facebook gets hacked or the email gets hacked. And messages get sent out to their people on their on their message group or whatever.
So that's why I assume. So I think that's what happens there. That's what happened.
So I'm just going to ignore it. I think sounds seems like the proper thing to do. You know, I mean, you get me, you get me.
So what did I have before? 12,000? I don't know. I've now got nearly 14,000 downloads. Just as I was half an hour ago was quite a lot less than that.
Well, not a lot less, but a bit less in it. Yeah, a little bit less. Wow.
So I think what I'll do for the next few days, since Thursday now, maybe Friday, Saturday, Sunday, I'll continue down this road of doing three recordings a day. And then maybe Monday, I'll start a fourth recording, maybe do that in the morning. And maybe do that for a week.
And maybe after a week, I'll do a fifth recording. Until I've got all six recordings, all six podcasts kind of doing it, especially did I say special? Just you know, once I've got six recordings a day. So it's a lot.
It's a lot of recordings. So maybe by the end of the month, by the end of September, I'll have Yeah, I have all six being uploaded. But I don't want to rush into it.
So I want to make sure that I can stick to doing the deep sleep whisper every day, the let me boy to sleep every day, and to relax and sleep hypnosis daily every day. So the last one is I've been in, I've just introduced that. And I've done one, two, or is it one today? Was today my first one of doing that? Was it yesterday? No.
Oh, daily, daily, daily. 121. Yeah, today was the first daily one.
Deep sleep. Deep. Deep, deep, deep.
No. 123. Yeah, I've done three days of the deep sleep whisper.
And one day, so I didn't leave it too long. I wasn't I thought about leaving it for like a week or so before I started doing the daily sleep hypnosis. daily relaxed sleep hypnosis.
But I just decided to start a bit earlier, I guess. A drink, I think. I've got this little holder on the side of my desk.
But it's metal. And it's good to have a holder. So at least I'm not going to spill a drink everywhere.
But it's only really good for cans. Because a cup of tea wouldn't go in there. So I'm not sure what that means.
I did have a message from someone asking if I could do to have a message from someone. I lose track. I don't get many messages.
If there is anyone still listening. I don't mean like in the world, but just like right this second, in this recording. If there's anyone still, if there's anyone, my voice goes like that.
Is there anybody there? Is there anyone? And if you know, if you like what I do, please send me a message with lots of kind words, that'd be nice. I do like to receive messages like that. Or what you could do what you could do is actually go to my website and post a message on there.
On the actual website, leave a message as a comment, or testimonial or something like that on the actual website. So that other people can see them. Now that would be groovy.
That would be like really groovy. Like groovy in a groovy way. You know what I mean? You know what I mean? Like groovy like man, you know, like proper in it.
So yeah, yeah. Haven't really done much today. Really just I've made the recordings and done the images and edited and shared and made pages from my website.
So I updated the website. So yeah, I guess I've done a fair bit but I don't know, sometimes it doesn't feel like I've really done anything. But I guess if I if I look at it, yeah, I've done some stuff.
Not huge amounts, not huge. That's why I know that I could do comfortably do a fourth recording without really being too difficult, you know. Oh, the other thing I'm doing is the otter.ai transcription service I use has like the next month's coming.
So they've I've got the the hours that I can do them. Now, I don't know how many minutes 3000 minutes or something of transcription that I can do. So I've started doing that again.
And what I thought I would do is start going through some of the smaller podcasts and do the transcriptions for those and get them out of the way. So they're, you know, done. Because I don't like the seven day cure insomnia course or the 30 day relaxation plan.
When they're all short recordings, and they don't have anything added to them. They're just there. They're old, dusty, like the balls, old and dusty.
So, but that's the thing about footballers, and they do get old and dusty, unless you clean them. So I like to clean my balls in the sink. The thing is, sometimes they're too big.
So after they get a bit big, so I have to sort of do them in the bath. But then of course, sometimes I, you know, it gets slippery, it falls out and starts bouncing around everywhere. And that's the thing about footballs, isn't it? It's, they might get old and dusty and wrinkly, but still got some bounce still got, you know, as long as I've got a bit of air in them, there, you know, you can still use them.
So I'm going to go. So thank you for listening. Remember to be kind to yourself, because you deserve to be happy.
Okay, do something nice for yourself. Lots of love. Bye.
