#628 Let me bore you to sleep

Hello and welcome to jasonnewland.com eating a Cadbury's cream egg. This is yeah I'm yeah I am Jay I don't know my name I just I generally have like a route you know a regular routine of what I say at this point and I've yeah my name's Jason Newland and this is let me bore you to sleep please only listen when you can safely close your eyes. I'm sure the central heating makes me cough a bit.

It's been really I'd say it's weird I'm eating a Cadbury's cream egg that's not weird. That's normal it's among the most normal things that I do in life. And that's your mouth closed imagine how awful it would sound if I had my mouth open let's find out.

Oh it's like a sloppy washing machine. I remember when I was in school one of the older kids yeah the older old much older kids said to me that he practiced his love making techniques on a Cadbury's cream egg. This is serious I don't know why I'm telling you this but to me I think it's a waste of a Cadbury's cream egg you know.

It's embarrassing when you get caught. What are you putting your thing in that egg for? But um looking it out it's nice what I do is I put them in the fridge. Sometimes they get a little bit too hard but this one is just right.

And uh and when I got older nothing like making love. Remember the first time I made love I was I was very disappointed. And so is she though so it's all right they're all evened out in the end.

Oh apart from that school trip went quite well. I visited a few places around London and the synagogue Buddhist centre. What's the muslim place? Hindu I think we went to like Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Catholic and Muslim.

So I think we went to five different places in London on this school trip. And I forget what half of them are called synagogue church church that's easy it's uh a lot easier to just call it church but I forget it's not really that important is it only to those people that go. I mean I'm a Buddhist but no one's going to be interested in you know necessarily interested in Buddhism or feels the need to know anything about Buddhism unless they're actually a practicing Buddhist.

Although I'm not really that practicing these days. I think I'm just not a deranged Buddhist that's not what I'm looking for. Um what do people say when they're a Catholic but I'm not practicing.

I'm very I'm a loose Catholic no no I'm not a loose Catholic a loose there's a term phrase but I can't remember what it is. There's basically I'm I am but I'm not practicing at the moment. See yeah I've um I went to collect my camera today now I knew that it wasn't going to be available to Sunday.

However I did not realize that Sunday was Easter which meant that Monday was also a bank holiday and Friday tomorrow is also a bank holiday because it's Good Friday. What's good about it? Well it's Good Friday though which means the only available day would be Saturday between now or today and Tuesday and I don't really want to wait till Tuesday if I'm honest. So uh I rocked up there I danced I danced down the road and there was this bloke standing on the door because you're not allowed in of course oh how we all know so he's standing outside and he said what's your what's your PR number?

What what's your PR number? I had no idea what he was talking about because when I bought the stuff online they said what you need to do is take your card with you and show that to them and then they will be able to see you know your details and everything but not no no what's your PR number? What are you talking about? He said you should have got a message with it on.

I said all right so okay I see if I might have had a text message let me just check and it had a number PR and then some numbers so I gave it to him and he said what's your delivery number?

I said I don't have a delivery number I don't know what you're talking about he said he should have got a text for that I said no it's the only text I've got so he won't he waddled off and because he was a duck and he came back and he said your item is not going to be here till Sunday he didn't say it like that and I said online it said I said this is me talking now obviously it's me talking but this is me talking in the story I said to him when I

ordered it it said that it was in stock we said it isn't in stock that's it that's what it said on the website he said no it's at the in the warehouse or something and it will be delivered here Saturday night I said okay I mean he was all right but he was very kind of stuck to what he was saying and the way he said what's your PR number I didn't know what he's talking about see I would have worded that um have you got a reference number that came with your text you know

that came with your order the it starts with PR I would have worded it a little bit more gently a little bit more concisely clearly and I said oh thanks okay I'll come back Sunday I said wait a minute it's Easter it's Jesus's birthday and he said um no it isn't but um never mind that we are open I said really he said yeah I said oh cool can you imagine dying on a Friday and in commemoration of your death you die in they call it good Friday good Friday good Friday no no no yeah

and then as soon as I'm walking away there's another customer walks up behind me well just where I was and and I said hi to the person and the man said to him you know there's the same man that spoke to me what's your PR number and the man or the woman I can't remember said what what's your PR number what do you mean now I can guarantee just because based on it happening twice in a row that he's having that all day long yet he's sticking to it he's probably one of those kind of

people that thinks that everybody else should understand the lingo and he's gonna keep saying it regardless of how many times that people misunderstand him so he's not going to adapt his way of phrasing it which would make his life a lot easier he wouldn't have to keep repeating it it's probably frustrating him every time it happens and he's very likely to be sitting at home moaning about it to his penguin or whatever he goldfish penguin penguin be a weird pet wouldn't it so I didn't say anything because you know I like to keep the peace

but I did you know I almost felt like I wanted just to stand around and listen to how many times he says it to people and then maybe record it you know I could record it stand there for maybe 20 minutes record it and then speak to the manager I said it's really to play this to you you know like this is this is the level of staff you have working for you but there you go but it was lovely it was just a bit strange like he's making his own job harder and he's making

the customers experience worse worse than it already is anyway because of the situation having to stand outside all weather's queuing to pick up an item that you purchased online because they may not deliver yeah yeah it's a bit crappy at the moment so I go get some food a little bit of food in the supermarket just a few bits not much couple of carrier bags came to £27 I said can I send cash back she said yep okay so £20 please and she said if you want to put the card in the machine I said

no I don't need to I've got the just a touch one so I just touched it on it you know the hands-free I don't know what they call it pin and chip or not pin without the chip no chip but pin no pin you know the one you just touch and she said well now you've done it I said what she said well I can't do anything now you've you just paid for the for the food but you have to put it into the machine in order to have cash back and she seemed a little

bit annoyed with me for not knowing I think but I've only had the card which you touch I've only been using it for a month or two I've always had the ones that you put in well you can still put this in insert it insert it and then you know use your digits that you know it's just putting in your your numbers and stuff so this is you know this is basically sent to me by the bank because they want people using those rather than touching the numbers which makes sense I don't really want to

touch numbers that people like me are touched and I said it don't matter I said look it's alright I can just I can just get my money from a cash point it's fine and I said oh this is new this is a new thing to me and she was alright after that she was friendly had a little cuddle and then I then I said goodbye I love you love you more you know it was good so I come out and to readjust my bra because she was trying to get it off I was so rude

come on we're in a public place leave my bra strap alone so I leave trying to dress myself so that I feel a bit more comfortable because you know it's hard when when part of your bosoms like at hanging out of the bra cup you need to readjust it just it digs in doesn't it I like to be supported also catches up with catches with the hairs and so I then walked to the bus stop and there was 29 minutes before the next bus now I wasn't wasn't upset you know I wasn't at all because

it was a nice day and also if it had been raining and windy and cold it'd be like oh but I was prepared for this because the buses are every hour at the moment you know very irregularly every hour they're regularly irregular but regular but not that often but off well they are that or they are hourly but they used to be half hourly when I moved there they're every 20 minutes so I'm guessing within about 10 years probably twice a week so I think you know what I'll treat myself to a burger like I

did a couple of weeks ago so I went into this this time it was different because there was a queue of humans outside queuing now the reason for that would probably be because a lot of people are having their Easter holidays school kids all the schools are closed I think so there's a lot more people about and I think I counted about 10 10 or 12 people ahead of me and I thought well I'll stand here for a while and then just see how quickly the queue moves and it probably took about 10 minutes I'd

say if that no no altogether I think it was about 20 minutes from queuing to actually getting the food and getting back to the bus stop so it took about 20 minutes but I knew I had time to waste so I thought yeah okay so I'm just queuing there's a few people behind me and I'm getting closer to the door there's about six people in front of me and every now and then a delivery driver this is like uber delivery let's see all these different places where the delivery person comes in collects an order that's

been done online and then takes it they get priority over proper customers like me that actually go there so basically the is a hierarchy of importance to the customers to McDonald's first of all it's the drivers then it's the delivery people so people have ordered it online and then it's those that actually put the effort in to actually go there and queue outside we're the last of the we're the least important people apparently it seemed a little bit like that but you know what do I know all I know is a lot more cars went

through than people while I was waiting so they were serving the cars a lot quicker than they were serving us and so I'm waiting there's quite a few delivery drivers probably about eight or nine maybe that's about eight I'd say in the time I was waiting one walked in he didn't have a mask on we've all got masks all the other delivery drivers have masks every member of staff has a mask not one person would be allowed to work there if they didn't have a mask on I wouldn't be allowed in if I didn't have

a mask on yet this delivery driver just walks in walks up and sits down on a table on it you know on some chairs and waiting for his order to be sorted before he can collect it so I go to the front of the queue I said though I'm not not jumping in I'm just remember word with the staff and I'll just step inside someone's walking out to step inside say can I just ask you why is that why is he we all have to wear masks why is he allowed to just walk in without

a mask on she said oh maybe he's got a medical condition maybe he's exempt she doesn't know why she's just like oh maybe that and I was thinking all right well let's look at the medical conditions that could hinder someone from wearing a mask I'm hearing something scratching around well it's in the walls doesn't even sound like it's in the in the loft sounds a lot closer than that I do wonder I was on a lookout for those things luckily I got Andre to scare scare anything away but didn't stop one coming in the kitchen

yeah what was I talking about oh yeah I said I was thinking well this is a delivery driver he wasn't on a it wasn't in a car he was on a bicycle now if he had a serious lung condition he would not be riding a bicycle for a living that just wouldn't it wouldn't be possible it wouldn't physically wouldn't be able to do that which means he was just decided in my mind I guess he just decided he didn't want to wear a mask and as nearly every member of staff in McDonald's looks about 12

he's this big man he can walk in and probably thinks well not no one's ever confronted him so he just does it continues doing it and she said I think he might have a maybe he's got an exemption I said you want me to go and ask him she said no didn't care did not care one bit but guarantee if I try to walk in there without a mask on why aren't you wearing a mask I'm exempt okay then so try this if you're going to McDonald's if you want to walk in then you don't

wear a mask and you've got this eight-year-old girl or boy at the door saying if they say to you why aren't you wearing a mask chances are they won't they'll just let you walk in there anyway and if you are wearing a mask if you do if you are you know if they do say it say I'm exempt even if you're not just walk straight in looks like they're not gonna do anything so that's a good place to go if you don't wear a mask and you want to spread all your germs and spread everything

to each other brilliant place especially consider it's mainly young people to go in there the people that aren't perhaps gonna be affected by whatever they catch and spread I mean last time I was in there this young lad took his mask off and sneezed everywhere then put the mask back on you know I kind of found it funny but at the same time wanted to have a little chat but I didn't I just like that and the weird thing is he was quite close to the counter it's really close to where the food is put

but the food is in bags and stuff so it's not like they're putting the burgers on this surface and then like rubbing it around to try and get all the snot and stuff or or put that lovely and they'll just hand it to you this bloke just sat there for about 15 minutes or 10 minutes probably and then he walked up near the counter and put his stuff in his bag still didn't have the mask on and I think what stood out is that everybody was wearing a mask everybody even the people cooking and you

know what I've worked in a kitchen wearing a mask standing over a fryer cooking burgers and you know that's got to be absolutely awful for them awful awful it's got to be at all man you know some people will listen to this probably think yeah what about the nurses what about the nurses it's worse for them did I say it wasn't not all that nurses I'm talking about fryers you know people in extreme heat what about people working in bakeries I used to work in a bakery that's the thing I've had lots and lots of

different jobs that's working I can get I've got a little bit insight into the various different types of jobs not not good jobs but you know the basic working-class kind of low-paid jobs although there to be that wasn't a low-paid job at the bakery it was a good quite good paid job lots of hours I could have really yeah based on yeah I felt I could probably be making about 800 quid a week working there now so I was able to do 250 a week after tax in 1991 so 30 years later that's got to

go up to at least 7800 pound after tax which means about what 50 grand a year but but but but I had to work for it I did a hundred hours I had to work 100 hours to get that which gives you an idea of what my hourly rate was so 250 I don't know what the tax was so let's say three I was probably on about 320 an hour maybe three pound forty an hour and then tax and National Insurance and stuff no probably about three pound an hour three I don't know I can't

remember it's such a long time ago might have been two pound ninety an hour now the minimum wage is about eight pound ten I think an hour so I'm looking at that two four six eight so that the minimum wage is times by four so two four six so I'm thinking you know 800 plus a week would be what I'd be getting now but that's 30 years ago I mean you think about it I don't think physically well first of all I don't think physically well I know that I could not do that job that

I did back then now I don't have the physical ability to do it not for long periods of time I couldn't I couldn't do 16 hour shifts I couldn't do that anymore every day of the week no I can do 16 hours but not doing that that would just be you know it was so hard such a hard job so just such a hard job very physical very very very very physical and I used to have this I think it was too early in the morning to eat any breakfast I'd literally get out of bed

and I just sort of it would be a case of running to catch the coach because it was look what a minibus they used to take me to work and I would get I guess something to eat like a snack maybe a breakfast bar if they existed back then and a bottle of Lucozade but the juice one not the the do you know that like that urine urine colored one but this was the different multiple kind of flavors pineapple mango whatever I don't know it was nice I liked it I really did sometimes I ended

up having the the urine one but just it was all it's trying to give myself some kind of lift to wake up and there was no conversation either because on the bus what the mini coach thing mini bus I was the only person on there that was well no one spoke to me but there's lots of conversation but it's all in a different language different languages but no one no one was speaking English now everyone could speak English but no one was because they were talking to each other and stuff and I didn't get hardly

anybody talk to me which was I don't know I think it would have would have woken me up a bit more instead of this din because you know someone's speaking in a different language there might as well just be it might as well just be like next to a beehive it's a similar kind of thing it's just it is just sound if you can't understand what's being said it's just sound isn't it I'm not sure it's the same for people who hear English that aren't English and it's like just it's just a bunch of just

a bunch of noises it's it is though you can't say that no it's true it's true if you don't know what's being said you know it's just it's just clatter it's just din din I've not heard that word for years stop making such a din din Wow I don't know why that's funny din or a weird name or weird word but yeah the thing is right having people working that had different languages you know is brilliant I suppose on whatever level that if it's great and brilliant for the people involved and the bakery was is

in Walthamstow and it was very much let's have a look I'd say 10% English people if that probably 5% English people when I say English English born okay whatever that means the rest was made up of people from all over the world very I mean you know East London multicultural hugely multicultural probably more so then than now because a lot of people with the what do they call it when they try and get rid of the foreigners from London there's a word for it but it's actually it's a nice word but it's actually has a

negative connotation I forget the name of it but with London they tried East London tried to make it trendy so that people with money would come in and buy the houses of the people that really needed the money and if they would move away so they can make it and I don't know a place that they would want to live I forget the name of it there's a name that it's called do you mean racist no no officially it's not racist but it is I think the idea behind is making a nice place to live

and it's like East London was never a nice place to live come on it never was a nice place to live it was a place to live but it was grotty it was grotty it was dirty it was smelly it was just London you know it's fumes car fumes there is factories you know wherever you go there's it's just weird smells everywhere it was just a weird place you know compared to if you live in a little town like there's a town there where my dad lives and there used to be a sugar beet factory

and you could smell that but that's the only weird smell you'd have it was proper horrible it was really especially about one o'clock in the afternoon for some reason I think that's when they open the windows who knows or let the machine fart but then in another town where my dad lives there's some docks and you could smell the docks because they had like a yeast thing going on and some other stuff you know so everywhere's got a smell you got the bakery so if you go to Walthamstow anywhere near the bakery you'd smell the

bakery because it was huge and I had that smell if you go to if you live near a football ground you've got the smell of the football the footballers groin sweaty groins now you got every areas got its own kind of smell but in London it was just a mixture and it was a mixture of different smells from the cooking everything was different you know it's just like if you go down a high street in any little town as you walk down the high street you get lots of different smells you go past the kebab

shop or if you go past the Indian takeaway or restaurant go past the Chinese takeaway restaurant or chip shop and I try to think what other I mean in an average town and if we you know it's not gonna be that many different kinds of things but Pizza Hut maybe a pizza shop you'll get smell of that as you go past so you always like different wafts of stinks as you walk past of smells and stuff depends if you're hungry if you're already eating the nicest smell just smell is to stink isn't it if I'm

full and I smell a pizza it's a stink it's stinky to me like stinky socks stinky tramp socks that's what it smells like if I'm hungry oh that's why I don't like seeing pizza adverts when I've eaten or when I'm hungry as well especially if I've got no money that's annoying if I've eaten there's like oh take that away I don't want to see pictures of food so East London was kind of like that but everywhere it was lots of different foodie smells if you walk down a road you could it's lots of sound lots

of people and just yes it's a lot of a lot of different things going on and even though it's a bit crappy in some beyond some levels living there I quite liked it as well I like the anonymity of it to be able to walk just to walk and go somewhere and to not have anyone know you I think it's nice I used to love going to the West End because I came to a time when I was in Stratford and sometimes I would see people I knew like people from work or people from just

people just generally that I got to know a little bit but a lot of the time I wouldn't see anybody because it's such a crowded busy busy busy busy place even back then before it got it in Indian eyes what white yeah is a word basically what it means is they make the place nicer to live to live there that's that's kind of what it means but socially it it means taken away you're taking away the affordability for people that live there and have lived there all their life to be able to buy a house

or to even be able to rent a place you know that kind of stuff is occurred I wouldn't be able to live there now I wouldn't be able to rent a room in in Stratford it probably be about 200 quid a week or something stupid like that 150 quid a week just for a room if not more for a flat to rent a flat rent a flat in fact let's have a look this way I can try and look up what that word is synchronicity synchronized so it basically just means the idea behind it I

think was good intended but imagine living somewhere you know you bought you're born there and what don't matter if you're born there but if you you know you live somewhere for a long time and you leave school you get a job you move out of where you're living because you're an adult and you're not a little child anymore living with mommy and daddy and it's kind of the ideal situation for most most young people who the hell wants to live with their parents I was lucky because I didn't have any my parents moved and and

then to find out that the money you're earning isn't even enough to cover the rent and the only way that you're gonna survive is either staying at home with mama and papa which is sad it's not ideal especially if you actually want to have some kind of social life and have a boyfriend or a girlfriend and unless you've got really cool parents who you know love the idea of you being with someone under their roof it's not something that my granddad would have put up with but you know you know this is true right this

is true okay my nanny granddad when my auntie who wasn't married at the time but she had a long-term boyfriend when they visited they had to sleep in separate rooms they were in their 40s or 50s then that's funny blimey and these were like this is this is someone that's got like three kids or something already like no we don't we not sleeping not sleeping in the same bed no oh man imagine having that mentality having that kind of brain that limited no can't do that okay breaks the rules cannot break the rules no it

affects my brain too much oh no what do they think that married couples do when they visit I think they just like go to sleep and nothing happens see my dad's not like that I've stayed at his place with girlfriends over the years not many to be fair but and he's always been cool I think he's just glad it's really sad but he was just glad that I wasn't gay I don't know why I don't see what difference it would make but he's from a different generation but he's open minded when it comes to trying

to think of something yeah I remember I had a couple of girlfriends that stayed over with him and well they had to wash the bedsheets afterwards I wasn't even horny I just wanted to just prove a point I'm moving on I forget I said that I didn't say that didn't didn't I didn't say that so yeah let's look at the prices of flats to rent should we look at rooms first let's look at rooms first in Stratford Stratford London as opposed to Stratford-upon-Avon London rooms to rent okay here we go you ready rooms to rent

uk okay okay okay Wow see this this looks nice but they're really sneaky the way they do it right they're showing a kitchen here right and it's like oh blimey so looked at that this is the feature dad kitchen bathroom it's nice and then you see the bed the bedroom now there's nothing wrong with the bedroom one looks a bit skanky the carpet don't look too good and the way they've done it is from a distance to make the bedroom look bigger but it's a double room so although they're showing a kitchen and a bathroom

gives the impression of like oh it's your own home but it's not there's two double double rooms to rent now it doesn't tell you if they're the only two double rooms that might be a six bed six bedroom house you see what I mean so you might be seven there might be six bedrooms one bathroom one kitchen potentially twelve people if they're from the UK living there or if it's from another country there might be six or seven people in each room which you're like oh I can't say that I've seen it I've seen it

mate I've lived in over 45 different places since I left school loads of different places rooms in houses that had way more people living in them than you'd imagine and there's one this is in Stratford again this I got really well with all of them actually because there's a lot of them is this I think it was from Jamaica no no not Jamaica Nigeria there's this fellow what he sounds like a joke this Nigerian walked into a bar and he I think his name is Sam or something I'm sure it wasn't his real name we

used to do that in when I worked in this factory there's be these people from all over the country and I'd be called Tim and Steve and Barry and like that's not their names go to Africa okay go to Nigeria you find me a Barry or a Steve or a Terry go on find me one find me someone called Terry or John John was quite a popular one all right John and I noticed it was quite I mean I'll tell you what how stupid some of the managers were they couldn't handle learning a name that

was a little bit difficult to pronounce so they'd give them a name which is like oh you can be Steve honestly it really was that sad and imagine doing at least you get in trouble blimey but that then did whatever they wanted but there was this team leader he was the boss the whole thing right and I worked with Andre he couldn't pronounce Andre had to call him Andrew yeah Andre Andrew it was Andre worked there for like two years and he was always calling him Andrew he saw him every day at one point he

was the leader team leader he was in charge of the unit so he'd be seeing him quite a few times a day Andrew sometimes Andy but no one called Andre Andy his name is Andre if he'd have been in America he might be called Dre but you know people called Andre weren't called Dre generally where I was I didn't even know that Dre was short for Andre I didn't generally otherwise I'd have called him Dre but he wouldn't have called him Dre because you know he was had a weird voice he was from Sweden and

he anyway I won't talk about Andre for fed up with Andre's especially the one I got here Andre is naughty because I've moved some stuff around and he's insisting on pooing where he did before even though he's got now got a different place to go he won't go there he goes where he did before double room Wow so this is weird it's got two prices so I'm guessing one of the double rooms is bigger than the other double room so one is 560 pound per calendar month the other is 700 pound per calendar month it's

furnished which means you're stuck with their crappy furniture a bed that's been used before a living room no so it is a house but all you got is your room but there is broadbands included which is good parking yes well that's another good thing because in London getting parking this can be quite difficult by that they probably mean this there's a road outside of curbs and you've got to find your own parking space probably Garden Terrace yes there's no pictures of that so it probably means there's a park up the road two minutes from Leighton

station Wow 700 pound calendar month so 7,000 8,400 pound a year 8,400 that's quite a lot isn't it so on a weekly basis you know work out 161 pound 53 per week 161 pound 53 for a room now I pay half of that for a one-bedroom flat and they're paying that for just one room which yes a double room but it's not going to be any bigger than the room I've got well I suppose it could be a little bit bigger I don't know but not from the looks of it they wouldn't be any bigger

than this living room but it is in London I mean I've got this but I'm basically nowhere I'm nowhere that's where I am there's nothing here it's almost like yeah I've got another one here it's a lovely single all bills plus cleaner included see that I wouldn't like it's 115 pound a week which and it's a small room there's no room to do anything at all in fact it's even worse than that because the bed is situated against the head of the bed is against the window so you can't even sit up in your bed

you have to sit up on the side of the bed against the wall which isn't comfortable I know but it's not wide enough to fit the bed the other way oh my goodness Wow and that's what it says there Wow Wow lovely two-bedroomed two-bathed balcony like I want to live inside I don't live on a balcony let's have a look let's have a look okay available soon is this stunning two-bedroom apartment set within the sought-after development of Icona paint Stratford I kind of I can't appoint Stratford recognized for its vibrant colored exterior and it's wonderful

location it says this advert is for a two-bedroom flat and is not available by the room 1,500 pound per calendar month for the whole property well there's 18 grand a year 346 pound 15 pence a week let's repeat that three hundred and forty six pound per week three three hundred and forty six pound whoa that's a lot of money isn't it I mean every week weekend I know it's on a monthly basis but every oh man it's lovely though the kitchen's really nice there's but there's no bath just a shower the bedrooms bedrooms looks quite

long not very wide bit of a weird shape actually there's the other bedroom so the bedrooms are fine bedrooms you know oh there is a bath do apologize I'm sorry I'm sorry balcony place what is that there's a room with a gym amenities furnishing parking garage disabled access bug new tenant suggested rent split no really blimey a large living area of a huge private balcony overlooking the Olympic Village and there's two spacious bedrooms and two bathrooms including a stylish ensuite that's good two bathrooms so that would definitely be a an extra kiss kiss for me

that was I take responsibility for that it's really weird because Stratford right it was grotty I know some people probably think no what you talking about it wasn't grotty it was lovely it was lush it was a wonderful place to live you know everyone had their own people living in their own homes and stuff their home was as good as they wanted it to be so of course they a lot of people have beautiful homes and but once you stepped outside it was grotty you know the roads are too small for the traffic you go

down any of the like the side roads and you've got people parked both sides of the road you can hardly get what you can never get cars going both ways have to keep stopping letting the car go through it's really badly planned but then they didn't expect lots of everyone to be driving cars I suppose when they in the 1200s or whenever they built it oh is this yeah when I was living this place this bloke Sam it's from Nigeria and I got on the white one and I was living there and it was probably

about those two two African girls downstairs they were like best friends students or something and they had a room downstairs each then upstairs there was three rooms if I remember rightly there is me in my room there is this couple that could not stop arguing a couple of Indian man and wife and he was a security guard and she worked in a factory I've got on well with them I even went to her factory to see if they've got any jobs and stuff but it wasn't the kind of factory that I was welcoming it was

more a sweatshop actually really bad conditions and so she was clearly angry you know life and that and she was so nice when she was with me softly spoken so funny you know Abby's in stitches so funny and nice kind general you know lovely but when he got home from work you bastard who is it really it's just starting him straightaway and then when she wasn't around he'd come and talk to me and he was so nice and gentle and then when they got together they were shouting at each other like proper but individually they

were really nice I liked both of them the girls downstairs didn't like me for some reason I don't know why and so that's they talked to me but they just didn't like me and then I had yeah this Sam or whatever his name was he moved in and it was just one room that's why I keep trying to fly because the double room was used by the couple this was just a single room he moved in and I'm never saying hello to him and it looked at me yeah I said because I'd always spoken to

him and I said I didn't look at so well hi he looked at me like who are you and I realized it wasn't him I hadn't looked I mean he was just going it into his room just the back of him like oh so that's weird oh I don't give people the keys to where I live generally and then I saw a different person then another different person then I start seeing groups of people all together then I started hearing lots and lots of talking and the mail in the mornings when the mail was delivered

by the post person postman and piles and piles and piles of mail to so many different names all coming to the same address room number four and you know whatever the address was I forget so many different names talking maybe 30 plus different names so there's this one big dodgy scam going on there and they it was so funny because I I didn't really fit in with what they were doing but they seemed to like me but you know got on well with them and they try and sell me this really crappy gold jewelry which

wasn't real gold but it was really shiny and it was obviously fake but it was like oh you you got I can't do accents very well so you've got to try you've got to try this this great great jewelry it's very good very good related to Dracula obviously as I and I said no so today it's on so I did I tried the bracelets and stuff is it God it's real gold it's real gold it's 74 karat gold feel how heavy it is really gold I say how much is it five pound to you you

they'd always speak to me outside you know in a hallway or whatever and I just had this image of walking in there one day and just seeing them all just standing there squashed together just talking really loudly because they were quite loud but then if you put a hundred people together whispering it's still gonna sound loud in it standing there squashed her standing up and that's pretty why they didn't leave because I couldn't they couldn't get out of the room they just squashed together I don't want to live I don't actually live here I've got

me own flat up the road I can't get out but I've seen it a bit over the years it's not a new thing some you know like with the European thing over the last like I don't know 10 years or whatever there's a lot of like cliches going on around in the past about you know people living loads and loads of people living in one place and it does happen not all the time though it's it makes good telly doesn't it you know a program of people just living the same as the regular like everyone

most other people would be boring wouldn't it have to sort of I know let's make a documentary about people who were to basically each bed it's like 12 beds and each bed has three people taking turns to sleep in it you know eight hours each of it during the day eight hours eight hours eight hours and they're all paying a hundred pound a week each for just to stay there and all you know this just sensationalist most of the places I lived at electrics at least God tries very good it's a diamond bracelet a diamond
