Hello and welcome to jasonnewland.com. My name is Jason Newland and this is let me bore you to sleep. Please only listen when you can safely close your eyes. Hope you're well and so I've got a few messages I'm going to read out.

First of all, the first one is to say a thank you and I did say a thank you at the end of yesterday's recording but it was at the end which isn't the best time really to sort of read out messages. So thank you to Joanne for your PayPal gift. Joanne says you've kept me sane during the pandemic so glad to have found you over the pond.

So what I'm going to do now is reply so thank you very much for your kind PayPal gift. So thank you Joanne. And I've got a couple of other messages.

It's from Heidi. Hi Jason, hope you're doing well. Thought I'd give you some feedback on your new microphone.

Yesterday I listened to a podcast from last year. It's it definitely is much more better now. Last year I felt it felt you were talking through the other side of the room.

Now you're talking into my ear and your voice sounds even more soothing. So that's groovy. I don't hear any background sounds but that happens.

Now that depends on the headphones I'm using I guess. Maybe someone with a 500 pound headphone can say more about it. Thanks again for all you do.

Thank you Heidi. And I think the here's a weird one a weird one but this is what I've noticed. And so I've got a really a really decent set of headphones.

I didn't I got them more for the noise cancelling aspect because at times I have emotionally disturbing neighbours like screaming at each other and arguing and shouting at their kids and things like that. And I need to block it out. So I've got these headphones that are really good.

Also they at night because I'm up at night I like to see I like quiet. I like quiet. But when I watch a movie I like it to be quite loud.

And when I watch when I watch television I have it quite low. I don't have a television up low at loud. But when I watch a movie like streaming on a streaming channel Netflix for example I like I like it quite loud if it's a movie.

And if I'm listening to music I also like it quite loud to the point where and if I'm listening on my phone because I listen to Spotify on my phone because I've got unlimited data so I it's it's better to use it on the phone so rather than television. The phone keeps it says oi Jason you're listening the volume is too loud my friend. We're going to have to turn it down because it's not good for your ears.

Have they not considered that maybe I need to have it louder because my ears are not so good and then thought about that they really maybe I need it a little bit louder because my hearing's not so very wonderful as it once it never was to be fair. But I like to listen to loud music I do but only with headphones on partly because it sounds way better to me and also I don't want to disturb other people you know. So I've got these headphones last year another reason or there might have been a year before yeah it was a year before.

It definitely wasn't last year it was a year before because I can wear them on the bus and I wear them in the supermarket and I don't hear all of the um hustle and bustle and it's much better for my stress levels to be on the bus to be able to hit listen to radio or to music or to a podcast whatever it might be and to not and to first of all know that I'm not disturbing anybody else because the headphones are noise cancelling both ways really so I can't hear other people and they can't hear me.

If it's on full blast and you I think you can hear a little bit but you know I don't have it on full blast when I'm on a bus I have it just so it's just loud enough so I can hear it comfortably. I never listen to loud music when I'm when I'm on a bus or in the supermarket because I don't need to.

I don't need to when I'm at home but I do because I want to and you can't stop me and do you hear my chair squeaky feels nice like I'm balancing it's wobbling I think it might be my big bum that's broken it another chair gone and I think I don't think it really matters what kind of headphones you have listening to a podcast it should pretty much have a similar sound I think when it comes to music it'd probably be a little bit different I'm just guessing I'm just thinking you know like a music

track there's so it's so layered isn't it and and acoustically and all that stuff so maybe the better headphones you have the the more enjoyable the better sound you may get but I think we're just talking it should like we're a podcast like it's a talking podcast like this I think it should pretty much sound kind of the same it's just I guess the only difference is if it's if there's other background sound going on like it like you know roadworks outside your house then it'll make a difference to the sound that you're listening to

in headphones because you'll have that in the background with my headphones I don't hear I wouldn't hear the the drilling outside if I put the headphones on and had the music up fairly loud I think I mean just putting them on without even turning the headphones on just having them on cancels because they grip they grip to my ears my ears are actually bigger than the headphones they fit right inside they don't I don't know why I said that um so yeah thanks Heidi uh yeah I know so some people I think some people this

is I'm guessing actually I I just guess and I make stuff up but I think some people may sort of wonder why am I getting it why did I get a different microphone why did I want to get a better microphone and well that's that's kind of the reason really is because I don't want to sound like I'm at the other side of the room and you know it was like a double-edged sword when I went through all of my old recordings I spent about a week doing it I think and I archived so I've

got that archived podcast and it's only I haven't touched the the pain relief ones yet but it's nearly all of my recordings from the past other than the podcasts that I currently have so all of the stuff pretty much prior to 2000 and maybe 17 2018 since then they've all been on my podcast mainly but everything before that so for at 12 years I managed to find about 50 maybe 60 something like that recordings that passed the quality test and the quality test wasn't even that strict but you know some I let a few through

because I knew well I believed that the quality of the content outweighed the maybe the echo-ness of the recording a little bit but it's a slippery slope because there's a lot of stuff that I personally think are quite good recordings and equal it may be better than stuff that I do now I don't know it's hard to hard to kind of judge but it's hard for me to judge I mean it's not really down for me to say but it's stuff in the past that was quite popular with my audience back then and I don't

know maybe I talk about this too much but it's I was just quite surprised at how bad the audio was and how even I've been going through I haven't gone through all of them but I've been going through a lot of my videos because again I had oh what 1200 videos something like that that were on YouTube maybe 1500 there was a lot of videos though on YouTube and I've gone through them I've been going through them and test you know listening to them and sometimes the the video is quite good quality I've even I've

got quite quite well edited videos you know with logos and animations and stuff like that I don't know how I did it but I mean I have had software in the past and I've now today Thursday the 11th of March I I signed up with the Adobe suite the thingy so basically everything that Adobe has for editing audio video the whole lot the whole shebang is all like on a monthly contract thing $50 a month or 50 pounds a month actually so that's probably $70 a month or something so I've signed up for that it's

the first thing I did today and because I had it on a trial and then a trial ran out so I was using it during the trial more for video producing than for audio but there's some stuff I can do with audio which can get rid of background sounds so I might be able to save some of the older recordings possibly it just takes a lot it's going to be a lot of learning I need to study and find out how to do it if I can because I think it'd be quite nice digitally restored

some of the recordings were really quite popular you know had thousands sometimes tens of thousands of views on YouTube or listens on podcasts it's you know in the past not recently but you know going back 10 11 12 years or whatever you know different times so they must have had something about them because the quality of the recordings and the videos were awful absolutely awful in some cases like really bad you know I was recording on the iPhone at one point but the lighting was awful the microphone in the iPhone it's never I mean in

my opinion okay this is my opinion it's not just my opinion the you know the camera on the iPhone is brilliant but then I'd say the camera on all mobile phones smartphones the cameras are brilliant now compared to how they used to be they used you know now it's amazing the quality but the sound quality on every iPhone I've had three iPhones over the last decade and none of the iPhones have had good quality sound good quality picture the first iPhone I had the quality the picture wasn't always great but it was about the light

if I got the light in right quality the picture was really good so I've got some old videos from 2011 and so yeah 10 years ago when I was counseling and there's this I'm in this in the therapy room and in between clients if I had for example I had a spare slot so I'd be in there for maybe three or four hours and I'll be seeing maybe two clients or three clients but I'd have an hour where I wasn't seeing anyone I'd make a recording I'd do a I used to do the hypno chats

hypno chats yeah hypno chats so I put the mobile phone on the ledge there's so much light coming into the into the room it was lovely had this big little tree thing behind me and I just sit there and I'd talk but it was echoey it wasn't this is how I would have liked it to have been but the reality is I couldn't have carried I couldn't have taken the equipment like this in with me to work you know it wasn't really very practical to be setting up stuff imagine a counseling client coming in and

there's microphones everywhere I don't think that would have been too good so you know at the time I've I don't know maybe maybe one of the problems I had is I wasn't learning how to do it I wasn't watching other YouTube videos you know I wasn't watching I was never really that bothered with YouTube as being a spectator you know a viewer I wasn't I'd go on now you know but I wouldn't I was too busy making videos and I didn't watch other people's videos in order to sort of compare the quality as much as

I think I really would have benefited from doing that if I had but now for the last month or two let's say month but it's probably longer I've been studying I've been watching watched hundreds of YouTube videos aimed at not just YouTube videos but also podcasting the best equipment to use to you know how to sort of be better at what you do and you know all that kind of stuff so I'm trying to yeah I'm just trying to sort of get a bit better I hope that's I know no I know you don't want

me to start being all serious and stuff so I won't you know I know not for this well not for any of my podcasts really I like to try and keep a sense of fun even in the more serious sessions I do because that's just what I do and this is I don't know life can be just too serious enough as it is it's you know um and it's just the way I do it but you know even when I was counseling I used to be having the clients would be laughing not all the time

obviously but you know it's there is this there's always a little space for a bit of humor I say always okay it's times when there isn't but you know I think there's even in those times there's sometimes a humor has to come from another person though so you know at a funeral if I'm going to the funeral of somebody then that's not my time to be sort of making jokes but if it's the daughter or the if the daughter of the man has just died if she's able to have a joke to say something you

know sort of I think it's called uh Andre shut up will you have a enjoy that because I'm going to tidy that up and you won't be able to do that later I'm tidying this place up I do wonder what he does sometimes you just just start can you hear him because I don't know if he if he can be quite as heard as he was before with the other microphone but he's still there but he's asleep he's asleep at the moment he's he's definitely discovered that it's uh spring even earlier it was I don't

know what it was before eight o'clock probably about half seven something like that seven o'clock I took him out and well basically I was sitting at a table and I felt him his feet against my legs so he's trying to get my attention so I'll pick him up he had food he had water so I'm thinking maybe he wants to go out so I take him out and he walks a little way towards the park and then he decides to walk back so I'm thinking oh he's had enough it's windy outside it's not it wasn't

very warm and it's dark so I'm thinking he's walking home he gets to where we live and he keeps walking the other like further up the path so he walks right past where we live he knows where we live and I'm thinking oh okay and he keeps on walking to the end turns left he's licking the post that he likes there's a post that it's like a really old wooden post I think I don't know what it is it excretes this sticky stuff that he likes to lick he's been doing it for years so he

must it must be all right for him yeah just I was a little bit concerned when he first started doing it but I think it just might be the wood it's like the wood is excreting and it might just what do what does trees do you know that that gooey stuff the trees but then it's a I don't know anyway he likes that so he rubs himself over everything on the way and then he he starts walking so I'm just following him and he leads me up past the field and then he crosses the road

so I have to sort of make sure there's no cars coming because he will just cross on his own like you know if he's behind me I have to make sure he's ahead of me when we're walking on the little road the country road because otherwise he'd just walk across without me knowing and if there's a car or a bicycle or something and it could be problematic and he walks and he leads me into the park into the field rather it's dark there's there are some little street lights so it just lit up a part

of the entrance to the field not enough for me to see where I was going and I nearly slipped over in the mud because it's been raining and it's been proper windy today really windy and I had the wrong glasses on because I was I'd been using the computer so I had my reading glasses on not my normal glasses so I'm not able to really see any kind in the way of distance couldn't see anything in the distance really everything was a bit of a blur it was pretty much the same it's very similar to

when I don't have any glasses on at all you know things are blurry in the distance including if I'm on the pavement opposite someone else that's on the other side of the pavement I can't see their face does that make sense so that's that's kind of where my eyesight level is without glasses I can't see their face I can see their face but it's a blur I can't see who they are which is I can tell who people are by the way they're slouching or the way they're standing or the way they're walking or if

they've got a dog what kind of you know I can kind of gauge roughly you know I can see it's not that I can't see figures moving around so I can see that there's someone across the road and I can usually see if okay there's a dog there so I can see that but I can't see I can see if it's a white dog you know it could be a rabbit but you know generally it's it's a dog I'm the only weird one that takes strange animals on lead mind you there's a neighbor that used

to have cats on a lead little kittens used to be on leads so I'm not the only one that um does stuff like that and anyway took me into the field I'm practically slipping over and I'm saying to him I'm saying listen darling Andre my baby boy I can't see where I'm going and all I could hear is whatever I said to him the same response I don't care I don't care thank proper attitude he's turning into a teenager don't care your problem wear the right glasses next time get your eyes tested don't care Andre

he doesn't care he doesn't he can walk around in pitch black and his eyesight's better or yeah I don't know if his eyesight's bad but he doesn't care does that make he his natural habitat is living in a field and because of the way they are they they're awake day and night and they're asleep day and night so you know they there's a name for it and I can't be bothered to look it up and I'm a little bit like that myself and maybe since I've had him I've been more like that I sleep then

I'm awake then I'm asleep then I'm awake I sleep when I'm tired and when I'm awake I do stuff and I don't lay in bed if I'm tired if I don't lay in bed demanding myself to go to sleep if I don't if I'm not tired saying that though earlier on I'm not going to contradict myself contradict myself I I felt tired and I lay down on the bed but I didn't feel like I wanted to go to sleep but I did just lay there actually and I did fall asleep and I woke up and

I felt better for it that was a couple of hours ago so and then I sat on the side of the bed and I meditated for I'd say about 15 minutes and uh it dawned on me and just remembered that actually meditation is pretty amazing stuff just to sit there and I don't know what it is it's it's around my eyes it's almost like between my eyes and my forehead there's a focus where nothing's going on no internal dialogue when I focus on that spot no thoughts about anything and not much in the way of

physical feeling either as far as pain or anything like that it's just almost yeah I don't feel invisible I do feel my body but it's just there you know it's just like nothing there's no nothing no emotions added well there's no emotions literally there's nothing it's just almost just sitting there but it is literally sitting there there's a focus on that part almost like between my eyes and my forehead I guess I'm looking up with my eyes I don't I don't really thought about it until now so my eyes are closed but I'm looking kind

of up a little bit no thoughts literally I know I'm talking so technically they're probably there's no thought so I can talk without any thoughts which is maybe that's why I can do it because there's no thinking involved in you know making recordings it's just words come out there's no there's no great deal of thought goes in there's zero thought goes into it a little bit more thought goes into the hypnosis ones but in reality a lot of the time is I'll just talk and put some trust in myself I guess to come up with

something that will hopefully be useful but even now I'm just thinking there's no thoughts I've got nothing there's nothing going on and I need to experience more of that because today I had a had a run-in with someone the um my doctor's surgery has really gone downhill over the last couple of years and the I don't even have a doctor like a a regular doctor anymore but I always used to have a you know my own doctor not my own but I'd go and see the same doctor every time and they got to know me

so how you and you know I felt like I knew them a little bit and I guess you know when I went in there they'd remember me and it would be a continuation of a conversation a little bit you know and I liked that now it's just a random you know I don't know who they're going to put me with so there's no sense of okay there's no sense of safety I guess and with things how they are you know it's hard to do doctor's appointments not all doctor's appointments obviously but you know to start

with most doctor's appointments are on the phone and I bet you I bet anything that they'll continue that even when lockdown's finished because it's easier for the doctors to just make a phone call so you know it's their way of being the the gatekeeper they can and the the surge the staff in the surgery they'll love that as well because they love being gatekeepers they keep the customers keep the patients away from the doctors we don't want them here they will have to do something if they come we'll have to they don't they've got a

machine in although this is ironic yeah now they've got this you know like a mcdonald's or even train stations okay and I don't know what it's like in other countries but you press stuff you know it's got a screen and you press the ticket you want mcdonald's you can press what order you want to buy in job centers here they've got key things you press looking for jobs uh there's a argos which is a very it's a um another place that's gone downhill is you press the key you know it's a catalog but you you

press the the monitor to find stuff and in the doctor surgery they've got one of those as well it's the same as supermarkets as well isn't it you press as you sort of pay pay for your self-service self-service i'm getting old i can't stand self-service i don't use them i've nearly gotten arguments in the past being in a supermarket and i don't get trolley loads of stuff because i'm walking home or i'm getting a bus so whatever i get has to fit into a basket and i'll be standing there and there'll only be like one

person ahead of me being served and a member of staff will come over and say yeah you know you can use the uh self-service so yeah i know and i had one person actually grab the handle of my basket trying to force me to use a self-service i said no you're right i'll show you how to use it i know how to use it i'm choosing not to use it and you better hope more people choose not to use it because there'll be less and less staff in this place you know there'll be less less

of these uh tills in the future as soon as they figure a way of doing self-service for people with trolleys with huge amounts of stuff what do you think is going to happen i didn't say that but i just said get off my get off my basket i chucked some prunes at him i need chuck you suck on my prunes i chucked some prunes at him just to i just i don't i don't like him what am i supposed to do i don't like i don't like self-service never have and that whole your shopping is

in the wrong place or is in the bus the bag area no i'm not getting i don't like being told off by humans but i definitely don't want to be told off by an electronic voice on a self-service thing so i don't use them and again they take away that human the human communication you know i i used to go into my local Sainsbury's i got to know the people that worked there just um there was a couple there was one lady particular in Sainsbury's when i was at university i'd always go to her kiosk

to her till because i liked chatting to her i was like she was really friendly i said how you doing i said yeah yeah and i'd only go in there and buy a few little bits but i could have gone to the self-service but you know what that's a weird noise sometimes that was one of the only conversations i'd have in a day is speaking to her and that's possibly the same for a lot of people they go into the supermarket and part of that experience is they get to have some human contact with someone

that's almost got you know forced to be nice to them and it's not you know it's it can make a difference i just think it does make a difference uh so yeah i i don't know where my point was on that one apart from just moaning uh this yeah now in the gp surgery they've got some young lad i think he's on work experience and he's sitting at a desk or table right in front of the door they're not letting anyone in you know they're leaking the door locked and he opens the door and checks

who's who or do they want are they coming in or if they've got an appointment and all that stuff so they're really enjoying the power i think of controlling other people a lot of people like that they like being able to control other people even if it's in a very small way i think i feel a lot of people get a little kick out of that a little bit of a they feel they're important when they're not not in that context they're important as far as being a human being and they're important to their family

and you know they're important in different sort of circumstances but they're not important in that role they're not a surgeon they're not the doctor they do a you know a role and in some ways you could say it's an important role but answering the phone taking appointments is something that pretty much anyone could do it's not a particularly specialized job you know i could do it you could do it it's and i don't know what it is and i think it's people that train to be doctors receptionists receptionists i think they train in being rude

they have a certain attitude of talking down to people and i've not been to every doctor's surgery but i have been around a long time but some are lovely i've noticed that there's a little pattern little pattern and i've spoken to other people and a lot of other people said as well you know people from other parts of the country so yeah there's a definite sense of thinking they've got a little bit of power they're talking down i've even seen and heard seen with my own eyes a receptionist in a doctor a doctor's receptionist actually

trying to diagnose a small child telling this patient what he thinks is wrong with this or the mother of the patient the patient's a little kid oh that's probably what it is no no unless you're medically trained you do not diagnose a patient you don't even mention what it could be this isn't a conversation at a knitting group or in a pub you know it's not just some random like casual conversation well yeah everyone's got an opinion don't they you know tell anyone oh i've got a rash on my balls oh yeah well you know

what it could have been um it could be you know your wife is sleeping around like it's like okay thanks hadn't thought about that brilliant great but you just everyone's got an opinion especially with things like illnesses you know the other day i spoke to a friend see i just no i had someone shouting in the garden no way could they hear me i'm not talking loudly am i wow can you imagine if this is like broadcasting all the way through the echoing no someone started shouting i don't know just another drunk person this place

is full of them so i was saying um completely forgotten what i was talking about i might leave that little bit in there so you can hear the kind of uh things that i showered out randomly so anyway okay so the doctor's surgery right i feel like i'm talking quieter now i thought i had the window closed pretty sure i had the window closed but then i'm i'm just realizing that the curtains are moving so the window might be open i don't know i'm not talking quietly i'm not talking loudly there's no reason anyone will

be able to hear me but there's this this whole area is really it's a mixture of it's like a little estate but it's a mixture of alcoholics drug addicts and seriously mental ill people and you know ex-prisoners that's kind of the the the council have kind of swayed people to kind of move here they just moved everyone and they they manipulated it so people end up here some people they get moved here after coming out of prison and stuff and there's no of course i've got no issue in that anyway because everyone it's has to

have somewhere to live in that um but i just find it weird i've never never lived in a place where it's so quite condensed with um mental illness it's quite severe and i would class drug addiction and alcoholism in that anyway so a lot of people that are very quite unwell living in quite a small area and i'm one of them you know i'm one of the with bipolar and stuff that's why i was manipulated to move here that's why i was given putting you know at the top of the list to move to this

flat because they clearly wanted me to move into a flat with a bunch of other people that were mentally ill and that's what it was when i moved in there um four out of six flats had people that were ill or had you know mental health issues i mean that's just the chance of that happening is not really very likely unless it's been manipulated to do that in fact five out of six the only one that isn't is a person that's renting privately so again i'm not judging that because i'm i'm one of them but

it's just it doesn't work really you put people together and it's yeah it doesn't work really doesn't work so there you go anyway that was what i was talking about what was it um this person i basically phoned the pharmacy have you got my prescription no we haven't do you know if it's um on the batch a six-month batch which is what i'm supposed to have no it was a one-off so you have to go to the doctor's surgery to order another prescription and i said okay thanks bye bye love you bye bye bye bye

bye and then i wonder where my phone is oh it's near my groin no wonder it's a place i don't normally look just seeing if anyone phoned me that's why i was shouting up at the window i didn't answer the phone um yeah i so i phoned the surgery and i tried to explain that and they said the same thing yeah you haven't got a batch and i said but i called last last week last month and a message was given to the doctor and i was told that i was going to get six you

know six month batch so i don't have to keep calling every month and it makes it easier for the surgery it makes it easier for everyone and she says we don't do over the phone so basically what she was saying is she didn't want to deal with me over the phone so why did i have a phone line for medication um you know yes but she said no we don't do it that's their basic standard answer now we don't do don't deal with anything over the phone you have to go online i said no i'm

not going online to do it because i knew i'd have to sign up for the app and you know and it was a lot harder than i actually thought it would be because i ended up doing it in the end because i'm never ever phoning that doctor surgery again so i um after the conversation i had and i said to her well last month you know if you look i'm not due a medication review there's no reason why i should get you know this it's you know i don't know what's wrong with the doctor why

they didn't give me a you know six month thingy she said i don't know i said she probably didn't say it like that i'm just but i want it to look i want myself to look better in this you know in this conversation clearly and i probably didn't actually and i said so so i need to get it i need to order it uh like i need to order then with you he said yeah we're not doing on the phone i said yeah i am that's why i called you i'm going to do it on

the phone now she said no you're not you have to either come in to the surgery filiformin requesting the medication or you do it online i said no i'm doing on the phone that's why i've called you i always do on the phone if it you know if it comes to it like this she said no we've been audited we're not allowed to do it on the phone anymore i said okay um so why did the doctor just give me one month's worth when you know generally i get a batch of you know this is

an ongoing condition bipolar it's not doesn't last for a month it's not a month long condition you know it's it's ongoing and she said we need to speak to your doctor about that i said is this something that you all know that i don't know about so what do you mean i said well i'm you know am i dying or something is that why you're only giving me medication for one month at a time i've only got a month to live or something in jest i said this in obviously it wasn't a serious statement she

went into one absolutely lost her mind with rage and i was trying to explain to her it was a joke do you not understand it was a joke it wasn't i don't think i delivered it very well i had to be fair and she and i was kind of when she started going into one that's when my attitude changed as well like and she was saying stuff like well if you're not happy with the surgery you can go elsewhere you don't have to come here there's other surgeries uh will not be spoken to like that

and will not do not be rude to me but they're there and it's like i think she was taking out the whole of her her weeks um stress out on me in that phone call and i mean you know she who knows she might be going through a hard time in her life i kind of hope so really to be fair but it's i don't know i know that i'm never ever going to be speaking to her again never phoning them again and as soon as i've got any money like proper money coming in i'm

going private never dealing with those people again awful to be spoken to like that um but then i probably didn't speak very well you know i got to take yeah i suppose i had a bit of an attitude when i called however to get told off you know what the last time i got told off when was that when was the last time i got told off it's quite a long time ago and i didn't enjoy it then and there was a time when i was untellable offer if that's a word i could not be

told off and i could not control my mouth in those situations this was not one of those times and i apologized i apologized i said i'm so sorry i'm really so sorry i really love her and uh but i said please accept my apology and she said okay i accept your apology and and you know we're now dating it's brilliant but i just like i didn't i want to say i'm sorry i meant it i didn't mean to upset her generally i didn't want to upset her was what was not my intention and the reality

is it's really a hell of a lot of stress even though the job's easy um you know it's not doesn't take a lot of mental power or kind of intelligence to do to be a you know a gp receptionist a doctor's receptionist there's of course a lot of stress involved uh difficult patients and also maybe you get to know the patients and i guess there's you get to find out way too much information that you know sort of that perhaps doesn't feel very good and you stuff that you shouldn't really know about and you get

to know about it and yeah so some jobs are like that easy to do but this even so working in a call center for example easy i did it easy job literally you know a teenager straight out of school could just do that job without any experience or any kind of brain power really or intelligence or anything it's just it's easy it's just do as long as you do the job properly do things correctly and you know it's not that complicated but it can be really stressful and i imagine dealing with more than one of

me a day she might have had a few quite a few people that were perhaps moaning like i was and i said oh what is your i think i said is is a doctor a bit dim because i said because you know you're supposed to i shouldn't have said that again i was kind of joking oh man how dare you how dare you talk about the doctor like that i was like oh you're you're married to him aren't you damn it this is not going well and it was one of the most horrible conversations i've

had relationship breakups that were better than that seriously it was awful it was absolutely awful yet funny on some level but i felt awful like oh i've upset someone i didn't mean for that to happen that was not my intention and you know i have to take responsibility for that but i just to a degree you know i'm responsible for what well i'm not always responsible for what comes out of my mouth but i'm supposed to be but i think it was one of those point well oh i don't know but i yeah i i

i i decided there and then that's it i'm not ever phoning them up again i'm gonna have to find a way to do it online now i used to do it online and i didn't like it i found it very i had to sort of write out all my prescriptions every time and i just found it very tedious and almost my brain sort of just wouldn't function when i was doing it so i that's why i kind of didn't like doing it but that was you know 10 years ago no six years ago now they

got an app the nhs app and wow it's not easy to join i ended up having to even take a photograph of my passport then having to take a picture of myself a video of myself saying a specific four numbers that they gave me to prove who i was and to set up a facial recognition to be able to log in so there's no password it's facial recognition and and other checks that they were doing it's like wow i mean it's you know it's important to do the checks but blimey i thought it would be

a case of the surgery would send you a code and you just log in and then put your password in but no then you connect you put all your information in your date of birth uh nhs number all that stuff and then they connect you you don't even tell them what surgery you're with they connect you automatically to your surgery because they've got your information and then i put in i want to get and it showed me my previous prescriptions and i said and i said order new prescription or order repeat prescription that's what i

did and it was really easy after all that it was really easy now the setting up of the app all that stuff was not easy i didn't find it i don't know just it got yeah i didn't find it it wasn't i suppose it wasn't really complicated but but yeah it took a few hours before they got back to me and let me know that the information i'd given was okay and the id i provided was fine and all that getting a repeat prescription was so easy like all the prescriptions my normal my repeat prescription

was there i just ticked the box of the stuff i wanted and just said that's it just press the button and then i went to the messages and said if you've got any mess you know to send a message to the surgery so i said i just cancel cancel my doctor's telephone appointment tomorrow because i've ordered a prescription online and that was it anyway what i do believe that that is it for today so thank you for listening remember remember to be kind to yourself because you deserve to be happy bye-bye-bye-bye-bye-bye lots of love
