Hello and welcome to Jason Newland dot com. My name is Jason Newland and for some reason saying my website address made me chuckle. I don't know why.

And this is let me bore you to sleep. Please only listen when you can safely close your eyes. Now, I'm not sure when the when was the last recording I did? I think it was yesterday.

I think. Yeah. So it's the 25th of September 2020.

And it's 20 minutes past eight in the evening. So I hope you're well. And I just want to say a big thank you to Amy, who sent me a PayPal gift.

Thank you very much. And I will actually send you a message. Yeah, Amy.

Hi, Amy. Thank you very much. So before I go any further, I want to read you out a message I got.

But I will tell you that it's a negative message. Well, I want to read it out, but it's quite expletive. Expletive, what the word is.

There's swear words and stuff in it. And as you know, if you listen to me regularly, I don't really swear in these recordings. At least I hope I don't.

Maybe I do. And I don't realize it. Maybe I'm just constantly swearing.

And I got a message. So what I'm going to say is if you don't want to hear the message, fast forward a few minutes, and then I'll have finished talking about it. I'll read the message out once.

So if you don't want to hear the message, I'm going to read it out, because it was sent to me. And I like to read out the nice messages and the unpleasant ones as well. Because it seems like a fair thing to do.

To do both. And this was among the most negative ones I've ever heard. And I also know that a lot of you probably are interested, like, we'll just get on with it.

Tell us, what does the message say? So if there's any children listening, what you're doing listening to this case is for adults. But if you're listening with children, please fast forward five minutes. The recording is still going to last for about an hour.

And so when we get to four minutes into the recording, that's when I'm going to read the message. So we're... Well, actually, that's not going to be completely correct. But I'll do it now.

I just realized, I say four minutes, but we're three minutes, 46 seconds in. But when I edit it, I'll probably take, I might take a few seconds off as well. If there's any weird noises, I'll probably try to delete that.

But I do have neighbors that are, well, I've got a very, very, a very full flat near me, which has got people in. So there might be some background sounds, but hopefully nothing too exciting. I do have the window open to have some air in.

Although there is still air in, in the room, even without the window open. I just like to have fresh air coming in. So I'm going to read the message.

I received it at seven minutes past four this morning. It was sent a message directly to my website. So you received a message from your online store's contact form.

That's not the message. It says it's from someone called Lucy, capital L, capital U, then little c, little y. And then the email address is torielovesblue4. So T-O-R-I-E-L-U-V-S-B-L-U-4 at gmail.com. And the phone number is 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9.

The chances of that being correct is quite slim. So I'm guessing the email address may not be correct either, but it might. And it might actually be in a person might actually be called Lucy.

So I'm going to read it now. Okay. There's some horrible words in it.

It's very venomous. And I don't normally talk about this kind of stuff. I don't, you know, I try have an uplifting podcast, but I think it's only fair that you know, the kind of stuff that I'm getting sent to me just so you can get an idea of what I'm having to deal with, you know.

So here we go. Surprise, forward, forward, five minutes. So stop the recording now, forward five minutes, because I won't repeat what it says.

I'll only say it once. So now, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, warning, warning, beep, beep, beep, beep. And I'm doing it right at the beginning because you won't be asleep yet.

So I'm not going to read it while you're asleep, because then I'm basically doing what this person says that I'm doing. Well, what, you know, kind of. Ready? Okay.

I want to count from 10 down to one, just to let you know, when I get to one, I'm going to read it out. So please stop the recording, fast forward five minutes, or turn the recording off if you don't want to hear it. But I want to read it out because I want people to know the kind of stuff that I get sent sometimes.

Okay. I've not published it online, not published it on Facebook, because of it being so disgusting. I didn't want to do that.

So I'm giving you the warning. So 10, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one. Really, I'm going to count down from five to one just just to make sure, because I don't want to upset a single person.

I want you to have given your permission to hear this. Okay. Right.

Five, four, three, two, one. Right. Here's the message in its full.

Okay. And reading it, I felt a little bit sick, actually, when I read it, but there you go. It says here, Hey, and this swear words, I've just I've already told you that.

But just remember, Hey, you fucking pig. Why are you saying rape and sex and whore in your sleep hypnosis podcast? Who the fuck says some disgusting shit like that to someone while they are trying to sleep? I guess your pathetic ass is deleting all the negative comments people are leaving about you. And I saw a pic of your ugly, stupid ass.

You probably have some dead prostitutes in your basement. You definitely look the type. I'm going to blast you on every single forum.

I want every person to know what a vile predator you are. Okay. Now, you may be a bit shocked from that.

I was shocked when I read it. But remember, it was sent to me. So I'm the only one that can take it personally.

It was sent to me. And so I want to address a few little bits on this. And I did tell a friend, I spoke to a friend earlier, and I read it to him.

And he knows what I'm like in real life. And I do swear. I do, I swear.

I tell jokes, inappropriate. I'm very inappropriate at times. But even he said, that's not you.

It's just, which is nice. So first, I'm not a pig. But that was, why are you saying those words, rape, sex, and whore? I don't recall ever using the R word ever in any podcasts.

If I have, then I'm sorry, but I don't, I don't see any possible situation where I would. And I definitely wouldn't be using it in a derogatory sort of way. So I'm very confused about that.

Sex. I do talk about sex. I have done many times.

And I don't talk about it much, because I don't do it much. It's not really part of my life. So I try and stick to the things that I know about, which is pretty much picking my nose, watching Netflix, and farting.

They're kind of the three things that I am very prolific at, and making recordings. So I don't, I say silly things, and I make up silly things about myself. Andre's coming out to play.

I do talk about Andre doing the whoopsie on, you know, his girlfriend to slip up. I've never said the word whore. I don't even use that word in real life.

It's not a word I use. It's an American term. It's an American kind of horrible word, if you know what I mean.

Just like wanker. See, I'm using that word I don't normally use, is in English. Well, Australian, yeah, but basically, the word wanker is not an American term or phrase.

Whore, in England, you know, you hear it in the Sopranos, you whore, whore, and she said whore, that kind of stuff. We don't. It'd be like prossy.

And I'm not going to go through all the different horrible words that people use towards women. And but whore is not generally one of the words that would ever be used by an English person. We just don't use that word.

It's not a standard word. So have I ever used that word in a podcast? I don't think so. And who got to make sure that I don't go to so I'm not going to swear anymore.

I don't want to read any more to swear words out. Who says some disgusting stuff like this to someone while they're trying to sleep? Well, not me, I don't think. And I guess your pathetic bum is deleting all the negative comments.

No. I actually share the negative comments with people normally. I talk about them on the podcast.

I share them on Facebook for people to see as well as the nice comments. I don't leave them on the website. If someone posts a review being horrible to me, why would I put that on the website? Why would I leave that for people to see? I'll talk about it when I get something like that.

So I don't hide it. But at the same time, I'm not going to frame it like it's a special thing. Because then chances are other people come across it, and it's like a green light for them to also be mean and whatever the word you want to give it.

So this person assumes that I get lots and lots of negative comments, and I don't, generally don't get many. And I've had loads over the years, but I've been going a long time. But this is one of the worst actually.

And then it says, I saw a pic of your ugly stupid bum. So I've never put a picture of my bum on to... Why would I do that? I'm not going to get anyone to listen, am I? If I put a picture of my bum on the podcast page picture, I'll get a different audience altogether. And I don't know what audience that would be.

People that like looking at horrible bums. I don't know. There you go.

And so she's calling me ugly. You probably have some dead prostitutes. Okay.

Well, first of all, I don't have a basement. And I don't have any dead prostitutes in there. I don't.

I don't. So sorry about that. Sorry to disappoint you.

And that hits home a little bit. Because I was actually... Back in 2006, I was living in a little town where there was a serial killer killing prostitutes. And it was massive.

It was major news, worldwide news. But I was in that town. And the person that did it was living just up the road from where I used to live.

And I used to pass his house every single day on the way to work. And I look nothing like him. So there you go.

And I'm going to blast you on every single forum. If you get a time machine, go back to the time when there was the internet was full of forums. What forum? What AOL? I mean, you know, what forums? Dear, oh dear.

Are you still on dial-up, my dear? I want every person to know what a vile predator you are. You know what? I'm the opposite to a predator. I've had women contact me that like what I do, practically begging me to meet them.

I'm talking people in my own country living, you know, local, kind of local in some ways sometimes, wanting to meet me. And I've had to, I've said no. So if I was a predator, then I definitely probably would have took advantage of that situation.

And I don't. Because that's not why I'm here. It's not why I'm on here for.

Well, I just had someone at the door there. That was good. And Andre is just cuddling me now.

Andre. Oh, you're a beautiful boy, aren't you? Yes, you are. Yes, you are.

Oh, you don't think it's because I put the title of my yesterday's recording? I've just been seeing a big hairy. What was it? Let me just have a look to see what the name of it was. I just saw a big hairy beaver on TV.

Well, if you listen to the recording, I did actually see a big hairy beaver on the TV because I was talking about it while I was making a recording. And I couldn't remember the name of it. I couldn't remember the name of the animal.

Could I? No. So yeah, I did actually see a big hairy beaver on the TV. And when I finished my recordings, these ones especially, I can't always think of what to call it or the title should be because I don't always remember what I've spoken about, you know.

So for some reason, I remembered the big hairy beaver because I spent a bit of time talking about it and it was a cute old thing. Big, big, big, big thing. Not as big as me, Daddy.

No, nothing's as big as you, Andre. You're the biggest in the whole world. You're a big strong boy, aren't you? Yes, you are.

Yes, you are. Get off me. So Andre, have you ever heard Daddy say anything too weird? All the time.

Stop it. Oh dear. I don't know.

Who knows? Who knows what's going on in people's minds? I mean, there is a chance someone might get upset with things I say, but try not to take it seriously. I'm just messing about most of the time. Let me get a little bit closer to the microphone.

That's better. Yeah, so that was a bit strange. It's not the first first weird message I've had.

It won't be the last. But I don't... I mean, I had someone almost stalk me for a while. And, you know, I just... It's fine, you know.

I just... I don't... When I kind of... When it kind of gets a bit strange, I back off a little bit, maybe. But I'm not interested in being rude to people. I used to do that when I was younger, but I don't anymore.

I want to just be... I think if I can be remembered as being... Oh, he was nice. He was a nice bloke. I quite like that, you know.

Maybe that's not enough. I quite like to be remembered as being... Well, more than that. But if that's... At the very minimum, I'd like to be remembered as perhaps... Oh, that Jason was nice.

He was all right. He was a nice bloke. See, to me, that's a good thing.

It's a little bit soppy, a little bit sad, a little bit boring. But I don't want to be remembered as being exciting, because I'm not. I'm not an exciting person.

Never have been. I've done a few weird things, I suppose, over the years, like most people have. But I live a very, very quiet life.

Through choice. Well, financially, not through choice, but even if I had money, I still probably wouldn't do that much different. I'd just... I'd probably just wear nicer clothes, and maybe I'd have a nicer carpet.

You know, just things like that. Lifestyle would be different, but certain things would be different. I wouldn't be going out to nightclubs, and I wouldn't be... I was saying that, actually.

I would like to get a Lamborghini. Lamborghini? Yeah, I want to get a Lamb... Brighini. Because I want to test it out.

I want to see whether or not it... I want to see if I can actually turn heads just by driving a nice car. I wonder if it really... If it really is possible. I just find that interesting.

Whether someone like me getting out of a car like that would have people wanting to talk to me. Because, you know, on one level, I can see it's extremely shallow, both from my side and from their side. But it also interests me from a psychological perspective.

It's like, oh, so you want to talk to me? You want to spend time with me because I've got this car? And I imagine it'll be just as many men as women wanting to talk about a car. Because lots of people love cars. I'm not one of them.

But my brother absolutely loves cars. He's a car fanatic, really. He watches the F1, all the racing and stuff.

He loves cars. But even he doesn't have an expensive car, and he could. He could drive around in a really nice car.

Possibly not a Lamborghini, but he could definitely be driving around in a Mercedes and stuff. But he chooses to drive in a sensible car that's economically frugal. But I find it quite... Mind you, he did used to have sports cars when he was younger.

So yeah, that's the point. He just doesn't anymore. I think as soon as he hit 17, that was it.

Driving license, driving test, driving license, car, and then doing it up and putting modifications on it. You know, the standard kind of teenage thing, which a lot of teenagers go through. I just never went through that.

I kind of wish I had in a way. But I wasn't in the position. I didn't have a normal sort of teenage life of 15, 16, 17, 18.

Things weren't very good for me back then. So I didn't really have any money to do anything, or any guidance, really. Okay.

So I'm not feeling sorry for myself, I must say. I'm just being factual. I didn't have a very good head on my shoulders when it came to finances or decision making.

And I'm kind of laughing at the fact that maybe, maybe I still don't. I would sound better now though. Because when I was 17, I never, no, I don't think I could have juggled all the bills I have to pay and all that stuff.

You know, even looking after Andre probably would have been, yeah, I would have run out of food, I would have been struggled to get his food for him. I mean, sometimes, sometimes it's true. I, when I was about 16, became 16, 17.

Sometimes I would spend my last five pound on ice cream and cakes, knowing full well, that not only would I be, well, I wouldn't have any food the next day. But also knowing that when I stuffed myself full of that Viennetta ice cream and treacle tart or whatever it was I was eating, I would feel ill at the end of it. But it didn't stop me.

I still did it anyway. So I've learned a bit more, but it's only taken me 34 years. Blimey.

34, 44, 50. Wow. So I don't know about the, that message I got.

I don't know. I'll tell you one thing though. One thing's changed.

I'm really surprised, really surprised is in the past, there's a bit of banging in the background, but I can't really do anything about that, I'm afraid. It's either that or wait till the middle of the night when there's a little bit less stuff going on, but my sleeping habits have been a little bit different lately. So I'm doing more recordings during the day.

Anyway, I was going to say something, I think. Oh yeah. In the past, a message like that, I would have probably closed my website down.

I would have deleted myself from Facebook, from Twitter, from Google Plus. Do you remember Google Plus? Even Google won't want to remember that. I've closed YouTube channels for less than that.

In fact, a message like that used to send me spinning and I've closed podcasts as well. Now, you know what I did with this? Nothing. Didn't do a single thing.

I read it. Initially, I was excited, a little bit excited, so I got a message. Don't get many messages really from my website.

I was like, oh, because I only just got the website back online about two days ago, on Thursday. Well, no, yesterday, Thursday. So that's only been back.

It'd only been back online for like 12 hours, I think, when I got that message. And I looked at it and I went back to bed. Didn't do anything.

And then when I was up, I made a recording. And then later on, I made another recording. And now here I am making another recording.

And for some reason, I haven't reacted. You may think, you did react because you read it all out. No, that's responding.

Not even responding, that's just acknowledging it. Reacting, for me in the past, would have been destroying my stuff, deleting stuff, which would probably be part of my ongoing condition that I have. But for some reason, I did think about, okay, it did cross my mind.

I thought, oh, should I get rid of the Let Me Bore You To Sleep podcast? That was my initial thought. Because most of my other recordings I do, do not involve me talking about myself, generally. It's just the relaxation hypnosis for stress and anxiety does sometimes.

But mainly, they're therapeutic hypnosis-y stuff. This is the only podcast where there's no therapeutic value, possibly. And it really is just me being self-indulgent, I guess.

And I could delete this podcast without really making a huge dent in my stats as well. So it'd make a dent, it would make a dent, but not huge, if that makes sense. The podcast itself, yeah, I'd lose, yeah, I'd probably lose about 900, 800, between 800 and 1000 downloads a day I get from this podcast and from where it's placed, you know, posted in other podcasts.

So between 800 and 1000 a day. So you're looking at probably 300,000, let's say 300,000 downloads a year off of this, the podcast I do for the Let Me Bore You To Sleep. So you think, well, that's quite a lot, but I'm averaging probably about 5,000 a day now plus.

So it is a chunk, but if I spent my time instead of doing this, making a sleep hypnosis or relaxation session, I would get more downloads than I do for doing this one. So the stats would actually go up. But I don't, and I started thinking, should I do that? And then I'm thinking, well, I've made over 500 recordings.

If they were really that bad, surely I would have had some feedback by now. At the very least, no one would listen to them. When the simple fact is, even though it's not the most popular podcast I've got, it is still, the audience are quite loyal.

Well, very loyal, in fact. I know at least one person that has listened. She said she's listened to every single recording.

Every single recording. And I want to do a shout out for her. Oh, yes.

Hi, Rachel. So that's it. I think people feel they get to know me through these recordings.

So when you listen to my other, where's my phone? Click, click, click. When you listen to my other recordings, you get a sense of who's behind the recordings. And one of the important things that I've always tried to maintain is to let everybody know that I'm just a person.

I'm just a human being. That I'm someone with mental health issues. I'll be very open and upfront with that.

That I'm 50 years old. I've never tried to pretend. I do lie about stuff, but generally, I'm honest about my age.

I don't try and pretend. I don't hide behind anything, really. Just be myself with the hope that... I don't want anyone looking up to me.

I don't want anyone... I've got this theory, and I've had people disagree with me on this one. I said this to someone once, and he was not happy. But I still stick with the theory that the more people that look up to you, the more often it happens.

People talking to you and looking up to you as some kind of special person. The more chance you're going to end up looking down at other people. And I do think there's a... Maybe I'm just talking for my own, how I could see me becoming.

So I never wanted that responsibility to... Some people love the idea. I want to be a guru. I want to be a guru.

I can't think of anything less enjoyable than people expecting you to be perfect and to take you as an example of a proper, wonderful human being. I don't want people to think of me like that. I don't want people to think of me the way that person sent that message to think of me either, because that's not me.

But I'm also... I have no interest in being perfect. I'd like to be better. I would.

I'd like to be a nicer person. I'd like to be a kinder person, and I'm working on it. But I want it to happen naturally.

I want the kindness to arise naturally without effort. And sometimes it really doesn't. But I definitely don't want to be looked up to by anybody.

And if you look at it really simply, and I do put myself down quite a bit when I talk about the hypnosis side of things. And in the sense of, I tell people when I do hypnosis sessions, when I do relaxation sessions, that basically I'm just boring. And that is my superpower, being boring and just having a boring voice.

And there's no skill involved. It's just me boring them. Now, a lot of that is true.

But it's not the only thing that I'm doing. You know, I do know a few things. And as we all do.

So I think, I'm not sure if I want to be remembered as being the most boring person on the planet. I don't necessarily want that to be my legacy. It's almost a promotional tool in the sense of me and Mr. Boring.

And I know that I very much do have the ability to bore the pants, not the pants off, that's a wrong term. I've got to be careful what I say now. To bore the... I don't know what I write.

To bore people. That's it. To bore.

To bore. People senseless. But everyone's got that ability.

Just talk about something you love. But as long as the person that you're talking to has zero interest in what you're talking about, and it's a good chance you're going to bore them. It's not because you're boring, it's because you talk about something that the other person has zero interest in.

Now, it might go the other way. They might become interested, which has happened to me in the past. It happened to me with... It happened to me with website design.

I could not give... Honestly, I had zero interest in websites or website designs back in 1999. I was just discovering the internet, but I didn't have any interest in putting a website together unless there was a point in that. And I went around my cousins one evening, and him and his dad were working on building websites.

And I was looking at it, and part of me was bored, but only bored because I wasn't able to get actively involved in it. It was like, let me have a go, because it was all code, putting codes together. It's a one screen, a text editor, and then you open it up in HTML file or HTM file back then, and you'd see an active working webpage.

And that blew my mind, honestly, because it's really easy. Well, you know, it's not easy. Anything's easy if you know how, but you didn't have to do that much to be able to have a bit of text on a screen.

So that's when I think I borrowed a book. I must have done something. I started off somehow because I devoted a long time to working out how to build websites.

And I fell in love with it. Really, really fell in love with it. I mean, in some ways, I would say I was probably more fanatical about that than I was about hypnosis or MLP.

I was probably more fanatical about that, possibly even more than comedy. It just overtook my life, but in a huge way, like every single second of my life, I was focusing on building websites. That's the only thing I cared about.

And I was happy. It's probably one of the happiest years of my life, because I was doing something that I was loving all day, every day. Genuinely, absolutely loved it.

So that was kind of strange, just thinking back to it. Almost makes you think that I should have perhaps been a website designer. I should have, you know, really got into it, but I didn't.

I did for a while, and then in 2001, I moved away from London. I didn't even have any internet for about two years. You hear noise, there's a lot of sound downstairs.

Lots of voices. But there's nothing I can do about that. So I could close the window, so it'd probably be a bit quieter.

But yeah, why don't I do that? It's very windy today, proper windy. And I'm wondering if I've lost some weight, because normally I'm not affected by wind. I'm heavy enough to the wind just doesn't even bother blowing against me, because it doesn't have any effect.

But today, I really felt it. So I might have lost some weight, which would be interesting. But I really felt it sway.

Mind you, where I was, I was crossing the road, and ahead of me was fields, nothing but fields. So I imagine the wind really had a chance to build up the speed. So that might be why it was kind of wobbling me a little bit.

Wobbling? Did you say wobbling? Yes, I said wobbling. So a question I would have is, Rachel, if you're listening to this, and anyone else that's been listening to my recordings, you know, many of the recordings, have I talked about this kind of stuff? Have I been like hugely out of order and stuff? Because you know, I'm, that's so noisy, I'm going to close the window. I said close the windows, it should have reduced the banging and the noises.

I hope. But, oh well, it doesn't matter. But yeah, if anyone's, so I'm still thinking of maybe just deleting this podcast.

But if I did that, I would probably make them available maybe on my website to purchase. And I could, I was thinking, I just think of different scenarios. And perhaps I could still make the podcast, but only have it available on my website, and not have it, you know, not have it available on any podcast or anywhere else, and you can only get it on my podcast, on my website.

It's an awful lot of trouble to go to. And the thing is, even if I was had, you know, 100 people download it for a dollar a time each day. You know, that's a nice, nice amount going into, you know, it's into my, what's a nice amount to be having coming in? Just from 100 people.

But 100 people is not a lot of people, is it? To be listening to something. When I'm used to, like daily, 800 maybe to 1000 people listening. Yeah, I don't know.

We'll have to see. It would just seem a shame to, well it would seem a shame to delete the podcast. But it would seem a shame, a real shame to actually, to lose over 500 recordings.

Which I'm, I have got them all on my website. They are all actually downloadable on my website at this moment. Apart from maybe yesterday's, I need to upload, I have to update the website.

I just don't know, man. I just, I don't know. I don't know what the right thing to do is.

The more I think about it, the more I think, oh, almost I've placed the seed in my own brain, you know. Which is, this is a weird thing, isn't it? But I don't want to just get rid of stuff, just nilly-milly like I used to. I prefer to think things through first.

So yeah, so it's a strange one. I'm just, I mean if you've got, I'm happy for you to send any personal messages to me via my website. Although I'm thinking of taking that option out of my website.

So I don't have to, so people don't have the option to send me horrible messages. Not that I get that many, but it'd be nice to have some nice messages. In fact, if you do like what I do, if you do, if you're still awake, please go to my review page and just maybe say something nice.

Just for today, just for me, just as a little favor, just to sort of, I don't know, kind of make up for the thing. Yeah, there is reviews. So if you click on reviews, and you can click write a review, and then you can just, yeah, name, email.

Name is public, email is private, so you don't want to see that. Review title and just write a review. So just put your first name in.

To be fair, you could put any email address. It doesn't have to be a real email address. You might as well have it as a real email address, so I can contact you back or whatever.

But generally I don't, not with messages like that. So just put in 123 at gmail.com if you don't want, you know, review title, whatever you want it to be, and then the review. And you can submit the review and it will be, you know, the public will be able to see it.

Yeah, unusual. Very unusual. I don't understand it.

Oh, wow. If I was a soldier. I got a message, a friend request from Clark Swan.

But there's no picture, no Facebook picture. So I click on it, click on the person. 87 friends.

And I click on the friends, no mutual ones. But I just don't, there's no picture. So I've got no idea who they are.

If it's, you don't, it's very rare to get a Facebook profile with no picture. It's, I mean, generally I just don't, wouldn't respond to someone who doesn't even have a picture of themselves. It doesn't have to be themselves, to be fair.

The amount of times that I've had a picture and I thought, oh, and I've looked at it and the person's actually, it's there. It's not them. Put it this way, it's not them.

So, but then I do the same thing. I've got Andre as my profile picture. It's not me, is it? Is it me? I don't know.

What do I, what's my profile picture? Let me have a look before I start moaning and going on about other people. No, my profile picture is Andre jumping up at the camera. It's so cute.

So yeah, but there are pictures of me on my thingy. Where is it? Friends. I thought I hid my friends.

I thought they were all hidden. 3,921. It used to be 5,000 once.

It used to. Where's my pictures then? Edit profile, posts, posts. So today, today, no, no, I wasn't today.

Today I've done two recordings. One really is deep sleep, whisper hypnosis, one with, one without music. And then there's this one.

So I've not done much today, but the, uh, uh, if, uh, the, um, so it's 9, 16, 10, 11, 12, 1. So there's over four hours left and today so far I've got 4,460 downloads, which is pretty good. And I mean, what I'm trying to figure out is this. I'm looking through and thinking, well, what is the, what podcast is really, is there one that's getting a surge, like a little surge of, um, of downloads, something that maybe I need to start giving a bit of attention to.

And there's, I can't find one. I can't find one that's really doing that. Um, oh, wait a minute.

I'm wrong. No, I am right. No, I just looked at something, but that's doing it by the week, not by the day.

So I don't know. I'm looking deep sleep, whisper, fall asleep, count sheep. That's just standard.

I don't think anything new has happened in there. Hypnotic buffet. Same, not much happening.

And healing words. Again, they're just over a thousand. Jason's bedtime, uh, Jason's bedtime story time.

Now that is, seems to be growing as well. And I haven't done a recording since 22nd of August. I've got 170 downloads.

It's not a lot, but it's only nine recordings and it's not really, it's not really promoted, you know? So I guess if I do more, I'll get more. Jason Newland's free hypnosis service. Oh, ah, okay.

That seems to have grown. So I've had 200 so far downloads today, but you might think, well, it's not much. But when you consider I've only had six downloads for my last recording, 17 for the one before that, 28 for the one yesterday, 21 for one yesterday, 25 for one yesterday.

Yeah, I've got 200. So people are clearly listening back to some of the older ones. So that's pretty good.

And it's still small, but 61,000 plus downloads on that one. Other than now, I can't really see. And 300.

Hypnosis is sleeping deeply, still the top one, which is good. Well, it's a race really between that and a relaxation for stress. So I'm just looking.

So Let Me Boy To Sleep. Yesterday's recording 152. Then Let Me Boy To Sleep one on the hypnosis for sleeping deeply.

It's 134. No, 152. Sorry.

And the one the day before, 303. The one day before that, 385. So, you know, it depends, I guess, over time, you get more.

And, all right, well, one from the 20th of September. 20th of September. Blimey, that's only five days ago.

434 downloads. The one from the 15th of September, 494 downloads. Wow.

The one from the 9th of September, 669 downloads. Blimey, it's again, another one from the 4th of September, 610 downloads. Isn't that weird? I'm just surprised.

I mean, they're not all as high as that, but I got one at 560. That's the 27th of August. So it's another one, 615, 24th of August, 501 downloads, 23rd of August.

Wow. I want to try and see if there's a bigger one. So I've got other ones, about 400 plus.

That's just for the day. It just shows you, doesn't it? People still seem to come back. 472 downloads for the 16th of August.

550 downloads for the 11th of August. Wow. 507.

I wonder if there's a big number though. There's got to be a, there's like one really large one. I can't find it.

I'm trying to find one that's like more than 600 downloads for the Let Me Boy To Sleep. Come on. No, no, no.

No. Anything but. The thing is, well not ironic, but, what is it? Number six, Jason's Story Time, Little Red Riding Hood, 16th of July, 639 downloads on this podcast.

So it just shows you, even though I've only got 170, whatever, on the actual podcast itself, I've got thousands elsewhere. Wow. Now isn't that interesting? Ah, look.

I don't know what happened on this day, but the 8th of July, 696 downloads. I want to see if I can find a bigger one. 696.

Is there one above 700? Come on. Give it to me. Give it to me.

Give it to me. 694 on the 25th of June. 600.

Come on. Give me one over 700. Come on.

Over 700. You can do it. Yes, I found one.

Let Me Boy To Sleep on the 10th of June, 775 downloads. And that was the 10th, the 9th, 675 downloads. So that was a good week.

So 775, that's the top one. Let's see if there's one above that. Come on.

Come on. There might be. It's possible.

I don't know. I don't know. 700.

Come on. No, I've still got ones of 600 plus, but I can't find anything for 700. 700.

Oh, yeah. 706. Didn't I already have? Did I ever? Wow.

I just found one. 30th of April. So that was number 387.

Let Me Boy To Sleep, 30th of April, 2020, 962. Wow. I might have found another one even higher.

24th of April, 1033 downloads. So now we're over the thousand. Will there be any others? Any higher takers? Come on.

Come on. Come on. No, I'm not seeing any.

1,000. Come on. 1,000.

No. There's loads above 600, but I want to see if there's 1,000. 1,000.

1,000. 1,000. No, 700.

Come on. Let me give 1,000. Come on.

Just one and then we can end the recording and we can all go home. 1,000. 1,000.

No, no. Maybe. It's possible that those ones were just popular.

For whatever reason, people wanted to re-listen to them. Because even going back to November 2019, I've got a 604. And I can't, I suppose, even though there's so many recordings, the simple fact is there's always something new.

So it'd be a case of, how do you find the time to listen to the old stuff? Right. I can't find anything over 1,000. For those Let Me Boyd Asleep.

There probably are, but I can't see any, which means what I'm going to do now, what I'm going to do now is, I'm going to find a different website. If I go to Let Me Boyd Asleep, see which is the biggest amount of downloads I've had on that podcast. The average is like 300 or so a day, just on that podcast.

I'd say about 300 plus, sometimes less, sometimes more. Can't see any that are high numbers. Although bearing in mind, I did delete the podcast and re-upload all of the new recordings, all of the old recordings rather.

And I can't, I think it was April time, which means I'm not going to have the full statistics for that podcast. The reality, the reality is, I didn't delete all of them, I just deleted everything apart from the last 100. So although I've got 187,533 downloads, the reality is probably got probably about 250,000, which means what I'm going to do now is look at Sleep Insomnia Hypnosis.

So let's just check out. Yeah, Let Me Boyd Asleep. Yeah, 501, 303, 424 for the 20th of September.

So I need to find one that's above 1000. So let's see what I can get. Come on, come on.

It just shows you this, it's quite small numbers, really. Now, looking through, it's quite small numbers, in a way. So we've got 500 plus so far.

Got 523, 518. Let me see 1000 plus, come on. I want to see 1000.

Just for me, just for Uncle JJ. 589. It's not 1000 though, is it? Oh, blimey.

Wow. What on earth? I just noticed something. Just noticed something and I've got no idea why.

There's one recording that is huge stats. And I don't understand why. It's not the Let Me Boyd Asleep.

It's a Deep Sleep Whisper Hypnosis, deeply relaxing sleep. 1st of July, 2020. 4,250 downloads.

Now, sometimes that happens if I haven't made a recording for a while. So far, people will still be listening to the last remaining one, the latest one. So sometimes that can get to 1000 plus, if I leave it a few days, maybe a week even.

But I didn't do that on this occasion. On the 1st of July, I also released Sleep Hypnosis Weekly 46. On the 1st of July, I released Sleep Hypnosis Weekly number 46 with music.

I also released Jason's Story Time, 3 Bears. And I also released Let Me Boyd Asleep all on the 1st of July. So 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 recordings.

Yeah. And then, yeah, the 2nd of July, I released stuff as well. So there's no gap.

There's no gap. So I wonder. See, this is what's the benefit from looking through the stats, because apart from being incredibly boring, which can send you to buh-byes, I perhaps can learn something from it.

Wow. 246 Deep Sleep Whisper Hypnosis, Deeply Relaxing Sleep, 4,250. I need to find out what on earth I did on that one.

Because I must have done something good in order to have people, because that looks to me like it's people have been coming back to it, to listen to it. Yeah. I can't think of why else it would have been listened to that many times.

In fact, if I click on it, I can actually tell. I'm just going about it. So I can actually tell you.

I can tell you exactly how often people listen to that recording. 31 people had listened to it today, 73 yesterday, 107 the day before, 111 Tuesday, 95 on Monday, 95 on Sunday. Wow.

So that recorded 1st of July, nearly three months on, because it's near the end of September now. People are still listening to it regularly. That's... Wow.

And it's strange. Let me have a look. July... and September so far, 1,074.

So there's still eight days, I think, left. Six, seven, eight, nine, 10. No, five days left.

So, wow. And that weird... I don't know why it's weird. I just find it a bit strange.

It's almost like, why do people like what I'm doing? This is just unusual. So let's go back. July, July, 1st of July to 31st of July.

No, that's not good. No, no, that's not good. Let's just do the first week.

Oh, come on. The first week. Okay.

1st of July, the first day, 152 downloads, then 40, then 59, then 42, 47, 44, 37. So that's July. So if that's the case, how come I'm getting 100 a day now, when I was getting 40 a day then? See, I don't get it.

I don't. So it's 246, Deep Sleep Whisperer. So let's go back to the actual proper Deep Sleep Whisperer podcast and see what's on there.

Deep Sleep Whisperer, Deep Sleep Whisperer. I'm just going to go down to another 246, 246, 994. So what? 994 on the actual podcast.

Which is by no means the largest amount. Quite a few Deep Sleep ones are over a thousand. In fact, nearly all of them are.

So it's 900 and what was it? 246. So what we can do is go to the most popular website, Hypnosis for Sleep and Deeply. 426.

400. No, 246. By, is it 246? Yeah, 200.

Good. Oh, come on. So many different recordings, it's ridiculous.

Deep Sleep, come on, Deep Sleep. I wonder if I've got the right number. 246, 248, 246, 1st of July, 482.

So basically, that podcast, whoever is listening to that podcast or people discovered that one and really liked it. Wow. That's cool, isn't it? I quite like that.

Make sure they're happy. So Andre, Andre, Andre's on the floor doing his daily exercise. And it's now 9.41pm. So I'm going to end the recording.

I'm not sure I'm going to put adult content or adults only for this recording. In fact, that's going to be the title. So adults only slash nasty message.

I don't know, it'll be something like that. So that's that's it. So thank you for listening.

I will, it's Friday now, it's Saturday tomorrow, then it's Sunday. I thought that might be useful for you to know. So I might, almost because like weekends can be really quiet as far as statistics go.

But I kind of don't want it to be. I feel I want to make some recordings this weekend. Yeah, that's what I'm thinking.

Anyway, so I'm going to go. Thank you very much, very, very, very much for listening. Remember to be kind to yourself.

Because you deserve to be happy. Lots of love. Bye.
