What? Give me kisses. Hello, welcome to jasonnewland.com. This is Let Me Bore You To Sleep. My name's Jason Newland.

This is Andre Dooley Nuland. In my arms, being all needy and babyish. You've been a little baby today.

You've been a little baby. He wants me to take him out for a walk at three o'clock in the morning and I ain't gonna do it and he can't make me. It'd be different if he was a big strong dog because you can go out with a massive dog any time of the day and night and you're okay but he's a little, he can't do nothing.

He's like scrappy doo. Someone tried to mug me, he'd be going, let me at him, let me at him. But he can't do nothing.

He can nip at their ankles. That's all you can do, isn't it? Yeah. He's absolutely, he's doing that thing again.

He's been all right all day and suddenly he's like chasing me around. You know, I just got up out of the chair to come and sit down at the desktop and he's sneezing. It's not a good time to be sneezing, Andre.

We don't like sneezes at the moment in this world. No, we don't. We don't like sneezes.

No, we don't. But he seems to be okay. Plus, oh, I haven't been, I don't go out.

I generally don't go out at all if I can help it at the moment. So hopefully I won't catch it. But I'm actually talking to Punchy on Twitter while I was talking to her, just as I started this recording.

So hi Punchy. Right, I should start the recording really. Oh yeah, only listen when you can safely close your eyes.

Yeah. Are you going to stay there the whole time? Can you hear him sighing? What do you want? Daddy's trying to work. He's looking at me.

Work. It's not work. Yeah, but it's still kind of work.

She looked at me to say, nope, it's not, is it? Well, what is it then? Playing? Yeah, it's more like it, Daddy. It's just playing. As Grandad said, it's just a hobby, isn't it? That you spent 12 years doing or 14 years, it's just a hobby, nothing more.

It's all meaningless. You're so rude, Andre. Hey, you're all right, baby.

You have to cut your fingernails because they're getting a little bit long. I have to cut them a bit. Don't you get caught up in anything? No? You're a good boy, aren't you? Yes, you are.

You're a cute little monkey. Do you want to get down? Oh, you still want to stay up with me, do you? Oh, you want to get down now. Okay, good.

Go away. Oh, right, what is it we normally talk about in these things? I forget. I normally talk about something.

I don't know. I've been working on my website. I know there's some people out there that love hearing about my website.

And I haven't done a stats review recently, so it's probably time I did one of those. But I spent a bit of time on a website. I want to do it on the laptop.

And then I looked at it on my phone, and it was a bit of a mess. There was way too much writing. The banners weren't working properly because there was too much stuff in them.

And I wanted to make as much noise as you can in the distance. Anyway, so what I've done is I've changed the website. So if you go to the first page of the website, if you've been in there lately, you'll see it's very different.

It's very clean, very tidy. I've made new banners for every single podcast, the ones that didn't have like proper banners. And now there's no writing on the banners.

The banners of each podcast has just got a picture with the writing of what the podcast is. And the only writing on it, over it, is a number in brackets, which is how many recordings there are in each one. Can you hear him in the background? You know, I don't know if I told you this.

In order to stop him from scratching at the front door, I've actually pulled out of the storage room a, it's like a TV cabinet. It's got three shelves. It was my nan's, so I'm going to keep it forever.

But I don't have, I don't use it anymore as a TV unit because I've got the TV on the wall. And I put the bracket up all by myself. I did.

I'm actually really pleased with myself. For that, it's a while back, but I was really pleased with myself. But anyway, I've got this unit I've taken out and I've had, I've put it against the door, the inside of the door.

Can you hear him? He's, I'm sure he's put weight on. He's shaking the room every time he runs through it. And he's getting his nails caught, so I'll have to cut his nails.

And then when I cut his nails, what does he do? He wriggles about. Now he's jumping up at the radiator. Can you hear it? What am I supposed to do? I don't know what to do with him.

And before, I used to put him into his cage when he did this last year. Because I've not been putting him in his cage for absolutely ages, hoping that he'd appreciate or, well, it's silly to try and put human emotions onto a ferret, really. Now he's climbing on me.

It's like, I'll tell you what it's like, what it's like, if I can talk without spitting everywhere. It's almost like he turns into a little kid again. He's back, like being a little baby, where he's full of energy, running around chaotically.

And there is part of me that just gets really wound up by it. But there's also part of me that just thinks it's just so damn cute. Because it's nice to see him full of energy, you know.

My voice went all weird then. Turned into a Dalek. It's nice to see him so energetic.

We will exterminate you. Exterminate you. So my website is looking really, really cool.

The images are a lot smaller, which is, it needs to be on a phone. And the majority of the people that come to my website come, well, they look at it with a phone, with an iPhone or some kind of smartphone, you know, Android or whatever. And then, so that's the majority, it's like 90% or whatever.

97%, you know, so it's a high percentage. Then there's people that listen on, they go on tablets and in laptops. Some people listen through smart speakers like Alexa and those things.

And some people watch on television as well. Excuse me while they listen on television. So I've kind of, I had it, I kind of had the website set up so it'd be quite, I don't know, search engine friendly to try and catch a bit of traffic.

But it also made it look messy. Way too much writing and stuff. So what I've done is I've reduced it all.

So it needs to be friendly, user friendly, I think. That's the most important thing. Otherwise, there's no point.

So at the moment, I've still got the banner at the top, which is just pictures of the most popular podcasts. And then underneath, I've got some, it was initially writing. But then I, because I had it written in, it's fine on the, on the website, you know, on a, on a tab, on a, probably on a tablet.

I don't know, I need to check that. But on the laptop, but on the phone, the writing bit was taking up loads of room. So what I did is I turned it into an image.

So I made an image out of the writing, put the image into the website. So now, when you go on to the website on the phone, the writing is a lot smaller. And you can magnify, you can pull it open and make it bigger or turn it around and look at it sideways.

So that's a lot better. So I'm pleased with that. And what it says is the writing here says, there are over 1500 recordings on this website, free to stream, free to download.

There are no ads on this site or any of the podcasts. All recordings are recorded and produced by hypnotist Jason Newland. This free online hypnosis service has been running since 2006.

And then I've added, this is not a business, not a charity, and not a non-profit organisation. Jason Newland, who provides this free service, is unable to work due to ill health. This website and the thousands of free mp3 downloads are provided without any financial expectations or demands to the user.

It sounds almost professional, doesn't it? And then a disclaimer in bold, and this is all in capital letters. I'm not really big on writing too much in capitals, but it is important stuff, I suppose. So I put in capitals disclaimer, please only listen when you can safely close your eyes.

Get advice and permission from a medically trained expert before listening to any of these recordings for medical reasons. These recordings are not a substitute for professional medical intervention. Remember to be kind to yourself.

I like that little bit at the end. So, I suppose it's just trying to cover everything. I mean, it is, I do try, you know, I say don't only listen when you can safely close your eyes, but it's, it's a mouthful, isn't it? And maybe I do need to say all of that stuff, I don't know.

But that's there, that's done. And I've also put it into the about section. So I've posted it in as writing in the about section.

So I've changed the about. So there's just a little banner at the top, picture of Andre and me in the background. He's so cute.

And the fur ain't bad either. And basically, I've just exactly what I've said to you then is in there written. So that's quite cool.

So I'm quite, I put the running costs, I've got that in the menu as well. So the here is a list of the monthly running costs of this free hypnosis service. The Spreaker podcast hosts $72, broadband internet £27, website costs £29.

Is that right? I don't know. I have to double check that. And I've got reviews, reviews there.

So there's the homepage, which is the first one, of course, where everything's on. So it's quite, I'm quite pleased with how it's coming out. So after a little bit of writing about, you know, the disclaimer and stuff, there's the latest recordings.

So I've got six latest recordings on here. And then below that, there's top podcasts. So I've got the four of my top podcasts on there, the Bore You to Sleep, Deep Sleep Whisper, Sleep Hypnosis Weekly, and Relaxation for Stress Anxiety.

Those four podcasts are there. So Let Me Bore You to Sleep, it's got 350 recordings. This will be number 351.

And there's Deep Sleep's got 199. Sleep Hypnosis Weekly is 36. And this Relax for Stress is 109.

So what's that 350, 450, 550, 650, 700, it's about 700 nearly altogether. Just between those four podcasts, nearly 700 recordings. Then underneath that, I've got Sleep slash Insomnia.

So I've got the, I just like it because there's no writing on it. It's just the banner's got a writing on so you can see what it is. I don't know why I'm excited about this, but it's tidy.

So you've got Sleep Insomnia, 45. So there's 45 recordings for sleep, which are not anywhere else. It's completely separate sleep ones from the past and recent past as well as distant past.

The Bore You to Sleep podcast, Deep Sleep Whisper podcast, Sleep Hypnosis Weekly. Then there's the Sleep Hypnosis with Music podcast. And there's Sleep Hypnosis Whisper.

There's 12 there. The Sleep Hypnosis with Music, 16. In Bed with Jason, six.

Fall Asleep with Jason, six. No, three, then six. Fall Asleep Counting Sheep.

Eat Your Eyes, five. Seven Day Q Insomnia, seven. And then you go down to Stress slash Relaxation.

Hypnosis for Relaxation is 199. Relaxation, you know, individual ones there. There's the Relaxation for Stress, that's 109.

Short Relaxation Hypnosis Course, 14. Short Anxiety Reduction, five. Relaxation Course, three.

Live Relaxation Streams, eight. 30 Day Relaxation Plan, 30. And then you've got Chronic Pain Relief.

And there's 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 podcasts there. Hypnosis for Chronic Pain, 54. Short Pain Relief Hypnosis Course, 10.

Reduce Your Chronic Pain, three. Pain Relief, Natural Pain Relief, two. Let Me Bore Your Pain Away, six.

Chronic Pain Tuesday, 10. Hypnotic Pain Relief, six. And Webcam Pain Relief Experience, four.

And then there's the Self Development. There's 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. Again, I've made quite a few new banners. There's Self Help Development, 92.

That's just the ones on their own. A lot of those are requested recordings. People ask me for stuff.

I've got Self Help Under 10 Minutes. That's 36 of those so far, but there's about 199, I think. 100, well, there's over 100.

I don't know how many. I've still got to work on that one. Jason's Daily Hypnosis Course, four.

Daily Hypnosis, 2018 to 2019, 12. Daily Hypnosis with Jason, four. Daily Hypnosis Course, 18.

And One Hour Daily Hypnosis Course, four. Then we've got Chatting. And that's just, I didn't really know what to call these ones, because they were me chatting, really.

So I put it under the title Chatting. Thinking Out Quietly, there's two. Some of this, I think, is my best work, but no one ever listens to them, so it's fine.

I don't mind. Thinking Out Quietly, there's two. Jason's Healing Hypnosis, there's 16.

Healing Words, there's nine. HypnoChats, there's 20. Hypnotic Buffet, there's 31.

And Live From My Bedroom, five. And then lastly, there's Stop Smoking. So there's the Stop Smoking Session, there's five.

And 28 Days Stop Smoking Hypnosis Course, five. That's four weekly recordings, plus one recording which incorporate all four together. So that's that.

So this evening, well, last night and this morning, I have made one or designed one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen. Fifteen new images, banners for the podcasts. Took me ages and ages and ages, but it's done now, so that's good.

And what I'm thinking of doing is actually adding a number to each image and putting that on the recordings. So it's, you know, number one, number three, number nine, number 100. Maybe do that.

It's going to take a long, long time. But what I noticed, as I was doing the images and making them, I started getting a little bit creative. And I think the only image I've ever made that I was pleased with, apart from the banner I did, I'm quite pleased with that, but it's very basic.

And the one that I did recently, I did the Let Me Bore You To Sleep podcast picture or banner. I like that. And I don't, I spent a long time putting that together.

It's hard to believe, possibly, if you look at it, but I did actually spent quite a long time. And I don't know if it's because it's got Andre on the front. I'm not sure, but it's my favorite image that I've ever made.

And then tonight, I did one Sleep Hypnosis Whisperer. And I started like playing around with some of the, the text, so it mixes in with the background. And which one is an example of that? Thinking out quietly.

So I've got my name, but it's mixed into the background. So it's in white, but it kind of drips, it sort of mixes into the white background, which is at the bottom of the picture. You need to look at it to understand what I mean.

But it's not, you know, it's not, I don't think I'm going to win any awards, but I was quite pleased with it, actually. I don't know why I've not done it sooner. And although I've been making images for my podcast for years, but never, not like this.

It was maybe doing one after another kind of got me into the groove, you know, a little bit of a groovy groove. So yeah. So I'm quite pleased with how the website's going now.

Because the website's built, it's all kind of up and running and, you know, like it was back to how it was. But it's improved. It's improved since yesterday.

And, you know, the reason I put down that this is not a business, not a charity, and not a non-profit organization is because it's true. And I don't want anyone to think that I'm a charity or a business or anything like that. And I've considered doing that.

I've considered turning it into a business and played around with the ideas of maybe seeing if it's possible to do that, to earn a living. And I've come to the conclusion that that's not what I want to do. I want it to just continue to be free and just make that decision and move on.

So that's why I've kind of made that statement. And if anyone does send me a PayPal gift, it's because it's a friend sending me a PayPal gift. That's kind of it.

And, you know, to support the service, help pay the running costs. But this, you know, I'm not, anything I do is not, it's not dependent upon that. You know, it's not, I'm not offering a service for financial gain.

And clearly, if you saw my bank balance, you'd know that was true. So, and also I put down that I'm unable to work due to ill health. Again, that's true.

So this, this helps me doing this stuff. And maybe I talk too much about it. I don't know.

But I don't really go into too much detail about that stuff, really. I don't think not on these recordings. On the relaxation for stress and anxiety, I open up probably a bit more about you know, mental health issues and stuff, because that's what the podcast is about.

You know, it's, it's much more than just, well not just, but it's much more than stress, anxiety, panic attacks and stuff. It's more, it's, it's grown, just like this podcast has grown into, I know not everybody that perhaps listened to the very beginning when it first started, perhaps they don't like how it's grown or I don't know, because it's going to change. We all change.

I'm changing as I'm, as I'm, you know, um, you can feel me just, I'm sure you can sense the maturity within me as I talk to you now. As I'm turning into a guru, every recording is going to be different. And it's going to depend upon, you know, what I say is going to depend, depend on how I'm feeling.

How you hear what I say will be dependent upon how you're feeling. You know, it's, it's just the way it is. So I think at the very least, at the very, very least, I can be a friendly voice on the end of a computer screen or the end of a phone.

You know, I can be a friendly voice at the very, very least. I hope. So, and also boring as well, because I do like to talk about boring things.

It's my favorite thing in the world. I'm really pleased with this website. I really am.

You just, you might not realize, but I really, really am proper excited. Well, not excited, but pleased, because it was a bit too much. There's a bit too much stuff going on.

And now it's clean and tidy. And I like clean and tidy. It's, it's a very well trimmed hedge, basically.

That's what this, the website is now. It's had a nice good old clean and been dust, been dusted off. And any crumbs removed, you know, it's just basically, it's like my beard.

It's a bit like my beard, you know, it's my monthly bath and I'll, my beard feels lighter as I kind of like wash it with some shampoo, head and shoulders and chin. And I just, you know, it just feels so nice. Of course, I have to wring the beard out first, because the amount of water it holds, I can't physically get out of the bath because it's too heavy.

Seriously, my neck muscles can't take it. And I've got a big head to start with. So, I love my look, I love my beard, but it does definitely collect stuff.

Honestly, I was roughing around with it yesterday. I kind of put a little brush through it and a bicycle fell out. Can't believe it.

Very shocked. It was handy though. Wow.

So yeah, I'm pretty pleased with the website. I'll keep looking at it. Oh, it's nice.

It really is. So I'm going to mention about stats. So please, you know, turn away if you don't, if you don't want to hear.

I'm not going to go into detail. I'm just going to give you a rough, just a rough update. That's it.

It's going to be a very rough update. It's not going to take more than a minute or 10 or 20. I'm not going to... because, you know, I don't want to talk about something that bores you, do I? It's the last thing I want to do on a podcast about boring you to sleep.

What might be boring? So, overall, I just want to laugh when I start talking about it because I know that some people get upset and it tiggles me, the idea of it. I don't know why. So the stats for my podcasts on Spreaker since November the 21st, 2018.

So it's one year, November, December, January, February, March. So it's a year and less than a year and four months. Anyway, the total downloads and plays is 936,529.

936,529. So I'll just give you the updates of the most popular podcasts and then I'll stop. So the most popular podcast out of all of our podcasts is Hypnosis for Sleeping Deeply.

I've got 183,571 for that one. The next most popular podcast is Sleep Insomnia Hypnosis, 177,987. Next is Deep Sleep Whisper Hypnosis, 153,368.

Next is this one, Let Me Bore You to Sleep, 115,966. Do you remember when I wanted to get up to 100? Remember when I was like 92,000 and I was saying, well, 88,000 or please let me get to 100. Now here's one that is going to overtake this podcast if you allow it.

So you need to get more people listening to this. Because the one that's just behind this one is Relaxation Hypnosis for Stress and Anxiety, 113,016. And lastly, Sleep Hypnosis Weekly, 51,294.

And I've got other ones that are 20,000 and whatever, but I'm just focusing on the big ones. So the Relaxation Hypnosis for Stress and Anxiety, the reason why it's growing is the amount I get every day. Yesterday, 911 downloads, the day before, 921.

It's just really growing at quite a rate, actually. I can tell you exactly how it is being month to month. April last year, the Relaxation for Stress and Anxiety, 2005.

May, 1,750. June, 4,077. That's when I started making new recordings.

July, 5,029. August last year, 6,926. September, 7,246.

October went down a bit, 5,846. November, 5,800. December last year, 12,094.

January this year, 20,477. February this year, 21,561. And so far in the last 12 days of this month, 8,703.

So what's that, 816. So that's at least 24,000, 25,000 if it continues at that rate for the month. So it's going to overtake this one.

It's not fair because I don't want it. I want this one to be the most popular one. It's not.

Not fair. Oh, now a tantrum. The other one, the Deep Sleep Whisperer.

Again, that gets... I had 610 downloads yesterday. It just, whenever I make new recordings, I do recordings regularly. They just go up and up and up.

I don't know. You know, I'm pleased. You know, I love the idea that I get an audience, but it'd just be quite nice for this podcast to be groovy.

Yesterday, for the most popular podcast, just gives you an idea how quickly the other one's growing. The most popular podcast I've got at 183,571. Yesterday, I had 700 downloads.

So the way I see it is the relaxation hypnosis for stress and anxiety is going to take over all of them and become the most popular one out of all of them if it keeps growing. That in its own may reach a million before the end of the year just on its own, which is pretty, you know, fantastic stuff. And I don't even make... I don't even make recordings every day on that one.

So yeah, it's strange. Well, at least I've got nearly 116,000 for this one. But yesterday, I had 389 downloads of the Let Me Boy To Sleep ones.

So, I don't know. I don't know, man. Maybe I should... should I stop making this podcast? I don't want to stop.

You can't make me. I kind of don't want to stop because I know so many people contact me saying that they listen to this every day. You know, these boring recordings.

So, I'm going to keep going. I'll go by the stats. I'll stop talking about the stats now, but I'll go by that.

You know, I let... I think I said this before. It's bums on seats. It's foot traffic.

You know, it's in a sense of... you can tell if a movie's successful by bums on seats or if a show, theatre, comedy club, whatever it is, by bums on seats. If no one goes to see it, no one sits on those seats, then the movie or the show has not... well, they haven't to stop doing it, I suppose, eventually. And it's the same with... I suppose if you've got a shop or retail, you know, an outlet.

Foot traffic, if you don't get people walking into the shop and purchasing things, then it's kind of... the shop ends up having to close, unfortunately. Which is a shame because a lot of work goes into, you know, things like that. So, it's the same kind of thing, not financially, but it's the same sort of thing with the podcast.

If people stop listening, then I'll stop making them. But it's the opposite. The stats are going up constantly.

So, the listener viewers... viewers? The listeners are increasing. So, I'll continue as long as that happens. And I mean, even if it didn't increase, even if it stayed at like 4,000 downloads a day, which is... it's an average to good day, 4,000.

A really good day would be 5,000. 4,000 is kind of a good day. To average, it's kind of between 3,500 to 4,000.

But never below 3,000. It's rare to get it below that. Maybe a weekend sometimes.

So, if it went... if it started going down and I was getting, I don't know, sort of 500 a day downloads, you know, for the whole thing, then... I don't know. I'd have to re-look. Maybe stop doing that, I suppose.

Which is weird because a few years back, having 500 downloads a day would have got me all giggly inside. I'd have been ever so excited. It's weird, isn't it, how it changes? I don't know.

I just... but yeah, there are podcasts on my... I've got about 48 podcasts. And there's podcasts on there that no one hardly ever listens to. Some people do occasionally, but they're not listened to very much, which is why I don't make any new ones for that podcast.

So, if the Hypnotic Buffet, for example, suddenly started to get more people listening and it started to grow, you know, so I was getting 30, 40, 50, 60, 80 people a day listening. That would be growth, which I would then think, okay, because that's what happened with the relaxation for stress and anxiety. I was getting maybe 20, 30, 8, 40, 50 downloads a day.

And now I'm getting anything up to 900, 1000 a day. But at that point, I hadn't made any new recordings for ages and ages. I just put the 36 recordings to a 34 that I'd made.

I just left it. So it was a gamble. I thought, okay, I'll make a 35.

I'll make one recording and see if anyone listens. And they did. They made another one.

And it's just grown from there. The same with the Deep Sleep Whisperer as well. So if any of the other podcasts sort of take off, people become interested in them or gain some kind of value from them, then I will look to make new recordings on those podcasts.

But at present, I'm just going to leave it as it is and leave them as they are. So I actually thought about deleting some of the podcasts, but then I thought, what's the point? Why delete it? It's part of my history, isn't it? It's part of what I've done. And although it might sound, some of the stuff may seem outdated now to me, maybe the sound quality wasn't too great.

Or maybe I never listen back to really anything I do, but I might listen to it and think, oh. But it was relevant then, at least to me, and as relevant as the recordings I'm doing now. Just like I'm sure maybe, I'm sure maybe, possibly in 10 years time, I may listen back to this and think, oh my goodness, what on earth was I doing? Just sitting there talking about nothing for an hour.

And I did that nearly every day. How and why? But you know, I might look back on the relaxation for stress ones and think, how could I have been so open? And so, you know, just opened myself up so much and talked about my own journey or whatever you want to call it. Who knows? I might look back at the whisper recordings and think, oh, I sounded so creepy.

Oh, why was I doing that? I hope not. But I, you know, I just, who knows? I mean, I like to think that I'm going to come up with other ideas in the future that will blow what I've done so far way out of the water. Stuff that will be way better than anything I've done before.

Recordings, you know, that will be better quality, you know, in 10 years time, the sound quality will probably be a thousand times better. The technology will be phenomenal. It's phenomenal now, but imagine 10 years time.

It will be, who knows, I might have learned a musical instrument and actually be able to do background music while I actually talk in the moment. Who knows? I might, you know, it's possible. And I do have some ideas about what I'd quite like to do, especially when it comes to health, helping people with health issues, especially serious conditions.

Yeah, I need to be careful with that because, you know, can't all go around making promises or giving false hope or that kind of stuff. But I definitely do 100% believe that talking to somebody and using the power of speech, the power of talking and the power of listening can really help somebody to recover from various issues and to just feel better, you know, to feel more at peace and to feel just happier within yourself, you know. And there's a lot of power in words and just talking and listening.

And I don't know, I just think it's quite an amazing thing. I sometimes wonder even if the intention can come across, the intention can come across to the person that's listening, even though they can't see my face or see what I'm doing with my hand, you know, waving my hand around like I am now. I'm a little bit of a wavy-handy person sometimes.

I'll talk with my hand, you can't see that obviously because I'm on a, well, I'm talking but, you know, I'm not on camera. But if you see some of my camera, some of my videos, you'll see me waving my hands around. I'm not waving them around, I'm not just, they're not like, it's nothing like making little windmills and just, yeah, it's not like really strange.

It's not like, it's like this, it's like that, it's like, like, like, get me, swear down. No, anyway. So, yeah, I wonder where I was going with that really.

I suppose just thinking about the future and I quite like the idea of doing something new in the future, doing something, the same stuff but new. Does that make sense? To try and figure out something that's different, maybe different from what anyone else has done before. Mind you, I thought I was doing that with this.

It turned out that other people have done this, the boring stuff. I didn't know that when I started. I don't think anyone's ever going to believe me but it's true.

The reason I did this to Let Me Bore You To Sleep is because I used to make Jason Chat videos and sometimes I'd do audios only and it would just be me talking about my life and, you know, just stuff. And a few people used to say, I really like your Jason Chat. I remember saying, oh, your videos really, really send me to sleep.

So I see that on the computer screen and I go into the video thinking, oh, brilliant. And I realized it was on a Jason Chats video. I think if they posted this on the right video, why are they not posting this on a sleep session? And then a few more people saying, oh, your Jason Chats just really relax me and I just feel I fall asleep when I'm listening to them because they're so boring.

So I think I said to someone, is it because they're relaxing? He said, no, they're just boring. Oh, thanks. I'm talking about my life here.

So I was already making sleep hypnosis recordings for, you know, absolute years and years and years. And I was doing the Jason Chats for years and years and years as well and update videos, which were kind of the precursor. And also I did Life of a Bipolar Hypnotist and the beer did something as well.

So I did a few different versions of the same kind of thing, which is basically just vlogging, just talking on camera about stuff. And then I did, I went through a period when I did Life of a Bipolar Hypnotist where I was making probably about an hour a day making audio recordings and just uploading them to my website or maybe a podcast, maybe SoundCloud or something and just share them. It was just me talking about whatever I was thinking about.

And that was probably the real precursor to this. Because this is kind of the closest thing to that, I guess. So yeah, I just decided to, a couple of years ago, give this a go.

I thought I know what I'll do. I'm already doing sleep sessions and I've been doing that. They're the most popular recordings I've ever made is the sleep stuff.

So I'll just talk. I kind of mix it up a bit. And I just thought, what can I call it? I thought, let me bore you to sleep.

That's what I'll call it. So I did. I didn't, I had a different banner to start with.

I didn't have the groovy yellow one with Andre on it. I had to, I don't know, just, I can't remember. There's been about three or four different covers for it.

And then I found out that other people were doing it as well. Because I was actually searching online for mine. And let me bore you to sleep.

I thought, let's see what search engines and what podcasts have kind of captured it. And I came up with a few other ones. And then I started searching for boring podcasts.

And it's not a lot. There's not huge amounts when you consider the, I don't know, millions of podcasts are probably out there. But there's a handful.

And they're probably all way more popular than the one I've got. But I genuinely did not copy anyone else. Genuinely.

And I can't prove it. I can't prove it. Subsequently, I have listened to a couple of little bits of some of the other podcasts just to see what they're doing.

And they're not doing what I'm doing at all. Not really. It's, yeah, I don't, I'm not sure what it is I'm doing, but they're not me.

They can't be me. I can't be them. That's the bottom line.

Because I can't, we can't, when it's personal, when it is your own personal stuff you're talking about, or your life, if you're making stuff up, whatever, or being creative, it's personal. No one else can copy it. I can't copy them.

They can't copy me. Because, you know, it's all like down to personal, personal personality, or I don't know. And, yeah, so, so what I'm basically saying is, can we please get more people listening? I'm grateful for the, I mean, between all the different podcasts that this is posted on, I probably get realistically about 900, about 900 listeners a day for these Let Me Bore You to Sleep podcasts, maybe more, because they're on three other podcasts, not just this one.

However, it'd just be groovy to have a thousand. I think it'd be so cool if this suddenly became, I don't even know what stats there needs to be for it to be popular, to be classed as a popular podcast. I'm probably not anywhere near that.

I'm probably at the lower end of average as far as the podcasts go, like compared to the big podcast hosts, you know, the big podcast people, which possibly, I suppose, they get millions a day listening. So it might be another five, ten years before I can compete with the big guns. Possibly.

I don't know. I'm not really sure. But it's a different thing.

It's just, it's going to be different for everyone, isn't it? You know, some people, they might release one recording a week and get absolute millions of people listening because they're famous. And the podcast is really good as well. I'm not, I'm not putting down a podcast.

I'm saying that they, because they're known and people like them and they want, you know, I'm unknown. I'm just a random person in a little country in Europe. Although it's the biggest, the 21st biggest population in the world, even though it's one of the tiniest little bits of land in the world, as far as compared to countries, it's one of the smallest countries in the world.

It's got the 21st highest population, which is phenomenal, isn't it? I think 67 million. So yeah, I'm kind of an unknown, but some people, a few thousand people know me. So maybe, maybe by the time I get to, what is it? I'm 49 now, 59, 60.

By the time I get to 70, I might have, I might have 10,000 people know who I am. Not that I need people to know who I am, but that listen. That's the only thing that really matters is if people are listening.

Because there's no point in doing it if you're not listening. I like to make these weird, weird sounds and stuff at the end of the recording. It's just, because probably most people have fallen asleep by now, out of pure boredom.

I can do hypnosis with people while they're asleep. You will send me cake, lots of chocolate. You will send me chocolate.

You will be kind to yourself. Yeah, you've got to be kind to yourself, man. It's important.

Be gentle. I'm a big believer in gentleness. Having been the recipient of both ends of that, of gentleness and not, you know, very un-gentleness during my life, as I imagine most people have at some point.

I choose gentleness. I do. Gentle, gentle, gentle.

Yeah. So I'm going to go, I'm going to leave it there. And say thank you for listening, those that are still listening.

Speak to you next time, which will probably be tomorrow. Tomorrow. Remember to be kind to yourself because you deserve to be happy.

Do something special for yourself. Lots of love. Bye.
