#295 Let me bore you to sleep - Jason Newland (8th January 2020)

It's risen quite a lot since the beginning of January and it's now the, who knows what day it is, it's the 8th I think. And yeah, thank you. So those of you that are listening, maybe new listeners, thank you.

And those that are regular listeners, thank you and just basically thank you everyone really. And yeah, so what I thought I would do, I thought I'd do a little, have a little, a little break from reality, kind of. I've been watching the news, a bit too much news.

So I'm going to go through YouTube and tell you about the hypnosis people that you may not know about and that are way, way, way, way more popular than me. I mean on a different level, completely a different planet in fact. Oh, my neck's very stiff today.

It was okay and then I lied down. Earlier I thought I'd just lie down for an hour on the bed because I'm looking after my friend's dog tomorrow and because I'm going to be up all night and my friend is going to be giving me his dog at about 10 o'clock. And it's all right, he's my nephew, so I don't, you know, I'm quite happy.

But it just means that I'm not really going to get proper sleep during the day because he's a little bit up and down. I have to keep Andre in the living room because they can't mix together because Andre attacks him, not, not badly, but he bites him and it's just like playing but it's, when Andre plays he's quite rough. Yeah, that's the right word, rough.

He doesn't mean, I don't think he means it in that way. No, he's not rough with me and he's not rough with anyone really. He's only rough with one person, his uncle, who has allowed him to be rough with him and bite him right from when he was a baby.

But I've never let him bite me. The only time I allow Andre to kind of get really rough is when we're play fighting, so perhaps we're on the bed and I'm kind of, but I also nip him as well. So it's like, it might sound weird but that's what he does.

If he's with another ferret, they bite each other and, you know, hold each other down and stuff. So that's what I do with my hand. He'll bite my hand and I'll nip him and I'll hold him down, then he'll hold me down and I don't nip him hard or anything.

I can't bite him, can I? But, you know, it's just, it's, he likes to get rough, that's what he likes, but I don't do it that often because I do end up getting, well, I get cut basically, he bites me and I get a few little bites on my fingers and stuff, but nothing bad. But, you know, he's just plain, he's got sharp teeth, he's not, it's not his fault really, is it? But if I say gentle, like that, gentle, he stops straight away and outside of that playtime he never ever bites. He doesn't.

It's only when he's playing. So when the dog comes in, that's playtime because dog wants to play with him, but the dog doesn't want to be bitten and if the dog bit him back, then that's, you know, that's just, the dog is huge. It's probably about 100 times bigger than Andre is.

So it's, I don't know if it's 100 times, I don't know, but it's a lot bigger. It's a big dog and he's a little ferret. So, you know, it would be, I suppose, if anyone knows who Tyson Fury is, it'd be like a little toddler trying to take on a, have a fight with Tyson Fury.

You know, I mean, size-wise, it's just such a difference. It's like, it's a big, big, strong dog. He probably weighs about seven stone and you think Andre probably weighs, probably weighs about seven pounds.

I don't know. He doesn't weigh much. I don't know how much he weighs.

I wonder. It's not interesting. Well, it's not interesting, is it? That's the point.

It's boring. Oh yeah, before I go any further, yesterday I was talking about the, I was going through the website and I realized that the review section wasn't allowing people to post video reviews. I've now corrected that.

So now you can go onto the video, you can go onto the review page and you can leave a video review. And if you so wish to, which would be great and even greater because I'm paying. I'm actually paying for that service.

So it'd be handy if people did use it because I've got a few video reviews, a couple, which is nice, but it'd be nice to be like brilliant to have more just kind of telling other people your story. Not your story, not your life story, but just, well, not any stories really. That's probably not the right word, is it? And just say if what I do is useful, which is the most I can hope for really is that it's useful.

I mean, I have had people say it's life changing and it's, you know, but you know, as long as it's useful, that's kind of, that's what I want. So I'm just going to go to, okay, I had to actually download the thing. Where's it gone? Where's it gone? So I'm going to put in hypnosis into YouTube and see what comes up.

And I'm going to read the people to you. So these pretty much are the most popular people. I know every single person pretty much on YouTube that makes hypnosis videos.

I don't know them. I don't know them personally, and I'm not even kind of online friends with most of them, but I just know who's doing it, if that makes sense. I'm aware of the people.

And partly because in the past, I've actually gone through the whole of YouTube, every single video on YouTube, I've gone through the whole of the hypnosis YouTubers and listed them and kind of added them on my website in the past. That's kind of why. But also, you get to know, don't you? I've been doing this a long time, so I've got to know people for who people are.

So if you put hypnosis into YouTube, the first one that comes up is Michael Seeley. And from what I see, I mean, he's got 100, 1.08 million subscribers. So I suppose it's 1,080,000 subscribers, which is massive.

He's got 154 videos. So he's kind of at the top of the list. So let's see if I put in hypnosis channels, mobile tube, hypnosis channels.

I know a few of the little shortcuts, just from, yeah, okay. So here we go. You've got, so if I put in hypnosis channels in the search of YouTube, Michael Seeley doesn't come at the top of the list, but he is, in fact, he's not the top of the list.

He's not the most popular hypnotist online, but he's hugely, hugely popular. So I'm going to list the ones that come up and tell you. What have we got here? Ultra hypnosis.

He's got 400,000 subscribers, 547 videos. So ultra hypnosis has been around for a long time. And I think I had some communication with them quite a few years ago.

But all their videos generally have got like a swirling thing, like on the video. And they've also got other channels as well. The next one down is hypnotizing Charlie D'Amelio to dance to the ABC's TikTok hypnosis collab.

So that sounds like it's actually a video. So I'm going to ignore that. But that's 1.6 million views.

So Thomas Hall, he's got 465 videos, 30, 304,000 subscribers. That's just like huge, isn't it? And Michael Seeley, I've already told you about him. And this one's big.

Blue Sky hypnosis, 17.3. Oh no, I was looking at that million. He's got 17.3 thousand subscribers. 17.3k. What does that mean then? 17,003.

Anyway, it's 92 videos. That's Blue Sky hypnosis. Hypnosis tutorials is 2.93k subscribers.

So I'm going to go back. Maybe Michael Seeley really has got the most subscribers. So I'm going to, I thought that 17.3 was a million, but it's not.

So Michael Seeley is at the top of the list. Hypnosis induction, 31 videos, 1.67k. So it's 1,670, is it? I don't know, subscribers. Alicia Faircloth, author Fairclough, 37.1k subscribers, 101 videos.

Renegade Hypnotist, 48 videos, 11.2k subscribers. Oh, okay, so I'm just looking at one of the pictures. It's basically clickbait, to be fair.

It's a picture on a beach of someone doing street hypnosis or beach hypnosis, but the picture, video picture will get clicked, possibly for no reason to do with hypnosis. Fiona Clearwater hypnosis. In fact, that video has got 10 million views.

So yeah, not that many people interested in street hypnosis. Fiona Clearwater hypnosis, eight videos, 2.62 thousand subscribers. Then you've got Erotic Hypnosis, 21 videos, 1.6k subscribers.

So I guess that's 1,600. Nicole the Hypnotist, 22 videos, 613 subscribers. I need to wear my glasses for this.

Okay, what else? Dan Jones hypnosis, guided sleep meditations, 654 videos, 52.6k subscribers. Hmm, there's another one. Hypnopixie hypnosis, 63 videos, 305 subscribers.

It's the Kara Institute of Advanced Hypnosis, 1,118 videos. Wow, that's a lot. 73.3k subscribers.

Wow, that's a lot, isn't it? 1,118. That's kind of on par with how many recordings I've made. Zoethic hypnosis, 67 videos, 520 subscribers.

I'm pretty sure the Kara Institute, because I had some contact with them years ago, and I'm pretty sure they have different people doing the hypnosis. So it's not just like one person. They've got a group of different people that do it.

Oh, where am I? That wasn't right. It's now taken me to a completely different place. Hypnosis.

I'm just not remembering what I put in before. Channels. All right.

Okay, so we went through Kara Institute, Zoethic hypnosis, UK Hypnosis Academy, hypnosis training, 131 videos, 4.96k subscribers. There's a channel, Squiggly Lines, 62 videos. Really? Am I reading that right? I'll put my glasses on, but I can't actually, it doesn't make it any bigger.

According to this, it's 685,000. I can't see a dot. The problem with this is it's quite a small screen.

Anyway, the next one is Work Smart Hypnosis, 1.67k subscribers, 363 videos. Isaac Loman, hypnotist, 29 videos, 375 subscribers. Gracie Smith TV, 70 videos, 7.35k subscribers.

Hypnopixie, hypnosis. Didn't we already do her? Well, maybe not. 305 subscribers, 63 videos.

The Honest Guys Meditations Relaxation, 490 videos, 906,000 subscribers. Hypnotmatic, 14,000 subscribers and 595 videos. What's the next one? Hypnosis For You, 11 videos, 229 subscribers.

Notice I'm nowhere to be seen. Experience Hypnosis, 8 videos, 1.16k subscribers. Matt and Rebecca, oh, so I don't know if these are hypnotists, maybe they are.

3.84 million subscribers, 697 videos. See, if I click on them, I won't be able to come back to this particular page, so I'm not going to. Simpson Protocol Advanced Hypnosis, 69 videos, doesn't give subscribers there.

Hypnotized, 2,330 videos, wow, 281,000 subscribers. That's a lot of videos, isn't it? And then you've got a Manual Gal, 49 videos, 779 subscribers. Lauren Ostrowski, Fenton, 813 videos, 122,000 subscribers.

And the next one is HypnoTC, the Hypnotherapy Training Company, 62 videos, 1.47k subscribers. Subliminal Frequency Hypnosis Wizard Binaural Beats, wow, that's a long one, isn't it? 391 videos, 209,000 subscribers. Good for you, that's a lot, that's a lovely amount, couple hundred thousand subscribers, that should be enough to earn a living, to earn a really good living out of monetizing the videos.

And what's next, Power Thoughts Meditation Club, 1.42 million subscribers, 358 videos. Master J, I wonder who that is, 101 videos, 2.28k subscribers. I wonder who Master J is, I'm intrigued now, I want to come back to that.

Someone asked for the name J. Hypnosis with Emily, 4 videos, 361 subscribers. Yeah, I know Emily. And Wasabi, I don't think some of the videos coming up will necessarily be hypnosis channels, but Wasabi, I'm not 100% sure, but 11.5 million subscribers and 978 videos and I've not heard of him.

Can I have some more, please? Because it's in the middle of wiping and just start general conversational stuff, basic stuff to get through.

So I don't know how you'd get that many subscribers in one video. It's gotta be a pretty good video. Uncommon Practitioners, 76 videos and 19.6,000 subscribers.

Hypnosis Videos, 2 videos and 227 subscribers. And the next one, I'm still nowhere to be seen. Hypnosis, 22 videos.

19 thousand subscribers, loads of videos, and if you look at his videos, he's got um most popular, I'm going to just click on his most popular videos, 362 thousand views, hypnosis for sleep part two, and all over a hundred thousand, but he just, one of the things with him is he's got, he's got an audience that communicate with him on YouTube, like really, that sort of seem to really care, that have been with him for years and years and years, he's always been, he's always had loads of stuff, you know loads of comments on his

videos, well I found my channel, but it's hidden, it's not hidden if you put my name in, but it's, it's almost like it doesn't even exist, and Jason Newland free hypnosis service, 963 videos, 354 subscribers, so admittedly subscribers is very low, and my most popular videos had 3.

2 thousand views, which, so I think I launched this YouTube channel about a year ago, yeah sort of November time or something last year, so I don't really put any effort, yeah really any effort other than just to share my podcasts onto the channel, if I was to make videos, like fresh videos, I'd get more views I know, but I'm not so into the videos anymore, although there are hundreds of videos, all my old videos from over like 13 years or whatever are on there, so if you want a good laugh, or if you just
