Hello, hello, welcome, welcome to Jason, jasonnewland.com, com, com, com, com, com. This is let me bore you to sleep, please only listen, whence you can safely close your eyes and there. I mean basically, let me do a description of what I want.
A description of what this is, what this particular recording is supposed to be. Oh, thanks for sneezing, Andre, while I'm making a recording. Oh, this is nice of you, thanks.
I've got the window open so you may hear a bit of rain or a bit of wind. That noise wasn't the wind, that was Andre being fidgety. Anyway, for those that have never listened to this podcast before, it's kind of changed over time.
Yeah, I mean, it was supposed to be me just being boring and sending people to sleep, you know, hence the title of it. But it seems to have evolved or devolved into something different, something a bit mixed. So it's still a boring recording.
And, but I've been told by, you know, various people that they listen for different reasons. Some people listen to go to sleep, to be bored to sleep. Some people listen because it, this is what I've been told by other people, by the way, I'm not just making it up.
Although I do make a lot of stuff up. On this case, although I lie most of the time, I'm actually telling the truth for the first time ever right now. Some people say that they listen, because it's a distraction.
By listening to me, they're not focusing on their own internal dialogue, which may be extremely negative. Or just a bit too much, you know, there might be too much thinking that's getting in the way of their sleeping. Some people tell me that they listen to me, because it's like listening to a friend.
It's I kind of become part of their life. And yeah, and I've had a few people say that. So I'm I'm just happy to be useful, I guess.
So for whatever reason, you may be listening. Thank you. Thank you for listening.
And I'm glad that I'm can be here for you in whatever capacity I am useful for. Yeah. I'm a bit tired.
I recorded this. It's the 8th of October, Thursday, the 8th of October 2020. And it's 1243 p.m. in the afternoon.
As opposed to 1243 p.m. in the morning. So yeah, a little bit tired. I just had some toast and coffee.
And I'm running out of food. You know, like food you can eat. As opposed to what I mean is, you know, stuff you can just put together and eat there and then without having to cook anything.
All I've got is cheese and frozen bread that I can, you know, cook, not cook. Yes, I put the frozen bread in the oven. You know, I can toast it and have a toasted cheese sandwich, which is incredibly boring.
And it's okay now and then but not every day. So you know, I'm just moaning and I'm just moaning. Right? Yesterday, really, really had a bit of a weird day didn't feel well at all.
I had a real kind of a weird, weird moment. But eventually, it all turned out fine. Which is good.
So I want to say hello, big hello to Gemma. I had some weird messages lately. Not not from Gemma.
But not weird, just unusual. Unusual. Okay, well, so far today, I've got 2218 downloads.
Yesterday, I had 6208. But it's still early. I've still got another 13 hours left of the day.
So two, four, five. Yeah, I'm pretty sure. As long as I get over 5000 in a day, I'm happy.
That's the that's kind of the bare minimum that I will put up with. If that makes sense, has to be over 5000. And, you know, it's been getting closer to the part from a few days ago, where was even less than 4000, which was ooh.
But it's been you know, I kind of I'm looking forward to averaging. I'm looking forward to the point where I never go below 6000 a day. And that's nice.
And I'm getting towards that. I'm not far from that now, where I'll very rarely get below 6000. And then I'll be well, I guess I'll be like hitting seven, maybe up to 8000 like on a really good day.
And then I'll get to a point where I don't go below 7000. You know, it's a slow process. It's not it's not a really quick process.
And I just have to keep holding on to the idea that or the fact that actually, although it's not many, but technically kind of in a 3000 is a very, very, very poor day. It's still over a million a year. So it's not, it's not that bad, really.
But I need to be hitting 6000 plus. Well, I never I never go below, never go down to 3000. It's always just under the 4000.
That's like a really, really bad day. So 3700 or 900 and stuff. Anyway, I'm not sure what I'm talking about that I messages.
Yeah, the strange day yesterday, just didn't feel very well. And I knocked on my friend's door in the evening. And I was supposed to be looking after his dog.
So I think that's part of the reason why I was a little bit on edge. Because I was waiting, because I was asleep, but I was kind of waiting to be woken up to look after his dog for a few hours. And it never happened.
And I think it just threw me out a little bit. I need to plan that stuff. Might sound weird, but I just don't need I need to plan.
When I'm dealing with other people, I need to have it planned. For me, if I just wake up, decide to go somewhere, then that's what I'll do. But if someone says to me, if someone wants to do something with me, or wants me to do something for them, I need to know beforehand.
As you know, as far planned as possible, so I can prepare myself emotionally for it. Because I can't do the things that I want to do. If I decide I want to do something, you know, so I just, which is fine.
I'll help people out. I like helping people out. It's one of my flaws.
But I think Andre is making some weird noises. So in the evening, I called, knocked on my friend's door and eventually went for a walk. I saw someone I haven't seen for ages and ages and ages.
A friend that I haven't seen for a long time. And then I went for a walk in the park, came back, went to the garage with my friend. And it's a really nice evening.
It's really lovely temperature. Wasn't cold, wasn't anything. It was just almost like early August evening temperature.
But without being light. And I just wanted to stay outside. I really felt like I wanted just just to walk for miles.
Who's miles? What do you want to walk for miles for? No, you know, the distance. And I don't know. I didn't know I came home and I mean, literally, I didn't make one recording yesterday.
I don't think which was unusual for me. So that's why I'm making a bit of an effort today. I nearly made a recording early, you know, earlier today about 7, 730.
Because I was up, I like to watch Mike and Molly on telly. I know it might sound strange, but I really like it. I like the TV show.
As opposed to what? Mike and Molly is a TV show. And yeah, I like it. It's funny.
It's gentle. And yeah. So I'm surprised though, because Mike, the bloke who plays Mike, the actor doesn't seem to have gone on to bigger things.
You get Molly, Melissa McCarthy. Is it Melissa McCarthy? She's big Hollywood star. So I just, I don't see why he isn't as well because he's, he's great.
I think he's brilliant in that show. Being clearly she's the star. I don't think she was supposed to be at the beginning because he was listed as the top, you know, he was a comedian and everything before.
I don't know if he was well known in America, you know, being on Saturday Night Live and stuff like that. I'm not sure. And he is in a TV show now.
He's a star of a new TV show, but the thing Mike and Molly finished in 2016, I think. And he's played parts in films where he's like a doorman. How, how can a star of a successful sitcom not be, have a better role than that? You know, he made hundreds of episodes.
You shouldn't need to even have to do an audition, really, you know, but I like what, one of the things I like about Mike and Molly is that, you know, they meet, I think they meet at a, like a Weight Watchers thing, meeting, you know, people that were over, overeaters or something. And, you know, that's kind of the thing with him. It's kind of ironic that he's, he's the one that's always sort of trying to lose weight and she, she doesn't seem to be that bothered about herself in the show.
And I mean, he's a big bloke, but he's, he's big though, he's tall. I like it. I like his sidekick in it.
You know, he's, all the actors are really good in that show. But hey, Mike and Molly, when I first saw it, I thought, oh, what's this on for? Because it replaced Cheers. Well, they changed the slot.
So Cheers finished, like the last episode of Cheers, and Cheers used to be on at 6.30 in the morning. Then they put Mike and Molly on at 6.30 in the morning, two episodes, and then Cheers is on from for the end of that for two episodes. And I was a little bit miffed a little bit.
I've never been so angry. Honestly, it was, I just, I put this rubbish on for and then I started to watch it. And I realised that I like it.
It's funny. It's a nice start to the day, actually. Little bit of humour, a little bit.
And you know, get in touch with the characters, get to know them a little bit. And yeah, I like it. I think it's good.
I mean, even one of my favourite characters in it is the, I forget his name, but he has the cafe. And he's, I think he's from Africa. And he's so funny.
His one line is brilliant. And he's, yeah, it's really good. So I think it's a good show.
Anyway. I'm going to call this recording Mike and Molly. I don't know why, just for the hell of it.
Let me see, I've got a bit of a dry mouth. I get that when I drink coffee. It dries me up a little bit.
Oh, look, I've got a picture from my ex-girlfriend. And I want to say ex-girlfriend, I'm talking, my goodness. 23 years ago, ex, so it's a long time.
And I sent her a picture of, where did I do it? Oh, yeah, I sent her a picture of my head. The top of my head. The one that I put on Facebook.
So I sent her that. And I said to her, I only just discovered I was bald and today I'm grieving. And she said, she found a grey hair.
I thought she'd have more than one grey hair by now, though. Unless she's lying to me. Anyway, she sent me a, just seen, she sent me a picture just now by text.
And she's got a, she's got a mask on. Because she's a nurse. So she's, I don't know why she didn't just take the mask off to take the picture.
But maybe, maybe she's not allowed to. Maybe she's allowed to take the mask off at all when in hospital. Oh yeah, at work, in it, in a lift.
Wow. The thing is about her, she had, she had the most beautiful eyes. Well, she still has.
Just, she was half Italian. Well, one of her eyes was nice. The other one, no, they're both nice.
Half Italian. Half dolphin. And the wrong half, unfortunately.
And she, yeah, she's nice. Oh, she looks old. She, she was 17 when I met her.
I met her just before she was 18. And I was, what was I, 25. She was, I was a security guard in a nurse's home.
And she was a trainee nurse living in the nurse's home. And we just, I don't know, I think she fancied me and used to hang around chatting to me and stuff. And eventually we had a date.
Yeah. So that was 1996. And then we broke up in 97.
It's weird looking her. I'll stop, I'll stop looking her. Um, yeah, that's strange.
Long time ago, though. 23 years. I just can't believe after 23 years, she still looks amazing.
Mind you, that is, that is with her eyes. All she's shown is her eyes. I mean, she might only have three teeth left.
I don't know. Oh, dear. I'm just editing myself.
Right. I've had some messages. Let me read them out to you.
I had a message today. And this was actually said to me on my website. So the reason I'm reading it out is because the first sentence is, this is probably going to sound sad.
Well, first of all, it says Lex. So I don't know if Lex benefits a man or a woman. I've got no idea.
I don't know Lex is the only Lex I know. It's like Lex Luthor from Superman. But it could be Alexandra or Alexandria.
So it could be man. So I've got no idea. And this is probably going to sound sad.
And this is what it says here, but it's not sad. So I'm reading it out specifically because it's not sad. This is probably going to sound sad or whatever.
But oh, well, I don't get to have a lot of human interaction when I need it most. I'm pretty affectionate, but haven't dated in years due to work schedule and brain stuff. I found this last week on Spotify, searching sleep meditation.
I'm really grateful. Thank you. It's nice to feel like someone's just talking to me and winding down for the day.
Makes it feel less lonely. So thank you, Lex. I'm not 100% which podcast you're talking about, if it's this one, or some of the others, but I'll read it out on this one.
Anyway, I don't generally read out reviews or messages on any of the other podcasts that I do. I usually, believe it or not, I usually just get on with it. I do, really.
Hard to believe, you know, the way I waffle on. I'll just get myself set up. The way I just go on and on and on about nothing.
But when I do some of the other stuff, I just do the introduction and get on with the recording. So that's a very nice message. Nothing sad about that.
It's people listen for different reasons. Wait a minute. I had a message from Rachel.
So she asked me for some help a while back, a little while ago, regarding anxiety and stuff. So again, I don't read out surnames, just the first name. And if there's any other Rachel's listening, like regular Rachel.
I'm not assuming that you have regular bowel movements. I'm just saying regular as in, I mentioned you on these recordings. There's more than one Rachel.
So this is a different Rachel. Thank you for the links you have sent me. I've passed them on to my friend too, who has just lost a close friend to COVID.
I warned her that they are not a replacement for professional help, and may not ease any of her pain, as it's so terrible that she said it. But she said it actually helps a lot. And that your voice sounds a lot like her dad.
Ha ha ha ha. Now I'm wondering what her dad's voice sounds like. Does it sound like this? Is this how he sounds? Is that how I sound? Who's her best mate, basically, and it's Sousa.
Her dad listened and pretended to fall asleep instantly. But said, actually, you do sound like him a lot. He is.
Why would you add this? He's also balding. Rachel. So Rachel, I don't think she listens to these recordings.
She listens to our podcasts. He is also balding. What have I done? I've opened myself up for the balding messages to be sent.
Anyway, the same another person, where is it? Sent me a message. Gemma on my Facebook page. This is when I posted the picture of my balding head.
She said single lady 28. I've already read this out. I won't read it out again.
I've already done that. Okay. So there was another one.
A different comment. I don't know where it is, though. Let me have a look.
Let me have a look. Wait a minute. I did make recordings yesterday.
I did. Natural Born Positivity, 7th of October. And it's the 8th of October today.
So I did make a recording yesterday. Oh, good. I forget what I do half the time.
Okay, it's not on that one. So it must be on the let me sleep one. I got, again, the picture of me.
Hi, ladies, who wants to date me? And that's gone as well. I've lost it. Lost it anyway.
Did I tell you that I did a new Jason's bedtime story time called the Enchanted Exotic Mermaid, adapted by Jason Newland, 6th of October, 2022. So I adapted it. So I changed it a little bit.
So I made it my own story by adapting it. In fact, the title is different as well. It's the Enchanted Exotic Mermaid instead of the Entangled Mermaid.
Yeah. Stop. That's all the messages.
So if you do have any messages that you would like to share, then feel free to do so. If you wanna. You're welcome to and I'm very, very likely to read them out on this podcast and say hi.
Hi. Thank you for the message. And all that stuff, you know.
I might actually go into town. Well, no, I can't I can't afford to. I want to go.
I just want to just. I don't want to spend anything. I just want to just get some food, just a few bits from the supermarket.
But there's nothing. There's nothing around here where I live. It's really just very basic.
You know, I can get bread, I can get cheese. If I go all the way up to the shops, the garage sells pretty much nothing as far as food goes. I mean, there is, you know, they've got marmalade, there's bread, croissants.
I do like croissants, actually. But it's more like chocolate and, you know, some cakes and drinks and stuff like that. But as far as food goes, it's very little.
I mean, they don't even sell margarine or butter. They don't sell cheese, they don't sell anything that you can put into a sandwich. So it's a bit unless you like petrol in the sandwich, and it's lots of that loads of petrol.
And the amount of times I go in there and sort of just put down my whatever I'm buying on the counter and they say, any petrol? I say no, thanks. Why are you offering petrol? I've not driven into a car, I've not even driven into a car, I've not driven up in a car. I don't even own a car.
I don't even have a driving license. I'm not allowed to have a driving license on my medication. I've been banned, but not in a bad way.
You know, I've not been banned through something I've done. I'm just not allowed to drive because I'm on medication that causes sleepiness. So I have a bus pass instead.
So I'm very lucky, you know, it's good, I've got a bus pass, but I rarely go out anyway. I rarely use it, especially not with the Lurgi floating around. So yeah, I'm looking forward to the days where there's transporters, you know, like Star Trek, you just get transported to the supermarket.
Yeah, that'd be wonderful. Although I do have a delivery booked for next week. So that's good.
So what I'll do is I'm going to get, yeah, I'm going to get a big delivery. So I haven't had a delivery for two weeks, three weeks. I think it might be actually by the time I get a delivery.
I didn't get a delivery last week. And I haven't had a delivery this week. So yeah, it's going to be three weeks since my last delivery.
And sounds like I'm doing confessional, isn't it? It's been three weeks since my last delivery. Three Hail Marys. So I think I'll get, what shall I get? I'm going to have to look at what stock I've got.
Because, you know, I've been trying to build up for the winter to make sure I've got enough stuff to get me through the winter, or at least through to Christmas. I see what else I need to get. I don't know.
What do I need to get? I suppose I've got enough mouthwash, got enough toothpaste. I've got enough. I've got enough soap.
I've got enough. Yeah, I've got enough deodorant. I've got enough.
Oh, the two things I need, I need to get some more wet wipe toilet wipes. I might have enough face wipes to last me. We'll see.
Because I always I use these like Nivea. I think they're more for women than men actually. But they're they're like Nivea or whatever face wipes.
So I use one for first thing in the morning. And last thing at night before I go to bed. Just to try and sort of clean the skin.
And I think it's got moisturiser in it. It's got something that some kind of goo that squirts out. Sort of.
Yeah, I imagine it's moisturiser. I hope it's moisturiser. And so I do that.
I don't know why. I do know why. But I really don't know if it makes any difference.
I sometimes think I'm kind of on the turn. You know, my body's just turning, you know, sort of middle aged. It's just starting to rot from the inside out.
I don't know. I hope not. I think the only thing I couldn't, the only benefit of being me, for me is, regardless of what happens, I always seem to be able to find it funny on at least one level.
Maybe not straight away, it might take a bit of time to get my head around finding things funny. And but it's like going bald. In some ways, I don't care.
But I think if I liked someone, and they said, Oh, don't want to be with you, because you're bald. That would, I can't imagine many people would enjoy that. Really, would they? Okay.
So that that's sort of something I'm mildly interested in seeing what happens there. Oh, and another thing is it pretty quite a big thing. I'm surprised I haven't mentioned it yet.
Why haven't you mentioned it yet? Well, I'm mentioning it now, aren't I? All right, then. Stop having a go at me. Leave me alone.
Oh, okay. I've ordered on my catalog. I've ordered a exercise bike.
And it's a good one. I think, hopefully. And what I'm planning to do is replace or basically put it where my big black falling apart chair is and sit on it when I'm watching telly and cycle.
So if I do that every day for an hour or so, or build up to an hour, I might not be able to do an hour straight away. That will give me cardiovascular exercise, which means as well as that, it should help to perhaps lose a bit of fat. Well, it must do if I do it enough.
If I cycle enough, I will lose fat. So that's it. It's ordered, so it's coming, which I found surprising because I don't actually have enough on my account to cover it.
But they still allow it to go through, but I'm probably not going to get it till November. Because I think it's had to be ordered or it's out of stock or something like that. So yeah, that's the next thing, next part of my exercise.
So that's going to be as well as doing the weights. And the next thing after that I need to get is an exercise bench, like a weights bench, because a lot of exercises I can do with the weights once I've got a bench to do it on, which will actually give you a really good workout with the weights. At the moment, I'm limited.
I mean, there's stuff I can do, but there's a limitation. I'd like to do more weights, you know, work more on my chest and my back and my shoulders. It's really easy to work on your arms.
And every exercise you do with your weights, you're working your arms, even if it's only minimally, because you're lifting the weights, your arms are always being worked. And doing curls and stuff like that is basically what every teenager does when they first go weight training. It's all about biceps.
To start with, it's all about biceps because I'm generalizing here, but most teenagers don't have to do much when it comes to slimming down. They're usually fairly slim anyway. They don't usually have to do much for muscles in the stomach because, you know, like I was, most of my friends were kind of fairly slim in the waist.
I had a couple of friends that weren't, but there weren't many people that looked like me at school. I'm not talking about the balding hair. Why do you keep bringing that up? I'm talking about the tummy, the tummy.
So, yeah, I'd like to work on my chest to get my chest a bit more like formed, better formed. And my back, and I guess my shoulders as well. Every part of me really.
I'm not, I'm not really, I don't really like leg exercises. I never did. Even when I was a kid, I didn't like leg exercises.
I didn't mind so much the, I don't know what they're called, but you sit in the exercise machine, the leg machine, and you push your legs up. And so you basically exercise in the tops of your legs. I forget what they're called.
And I didn't want that so much. I did feel a little bit of a strain in my knees. And I said the other day, my knees have always been a little bit touch and go, you know, and they're clearly strong because my legs are taking my body weight.
So they must be strong legs. And I don't have much in the way of fat on my legs. And I'm sure there is some, but not much.
It's basically, so I'm literally, I'm lifting my legs up now. And I can feel the muscles in my legs expanding. And they're not, they're muscles, but they're not, they're not muscles.
It's not like they're bulging. It's like, oh, but they're just naturally moving and, you know, tensing as I move them. But just in the same way, I can tense my stomach.
I've got muscles in my stomach. I can tense them and make my stomach hard. And I think most people can.
You know, the idea that someone that's got a belly on them doesn't have muscles in their stomach is wrong. Of course, they've got muscles in their stomach. They're just hidden.
You have to have muscles in your stomach in order for your body to sort of be able to, I don't know, but I'm guessing that you won't be able to stand up straight and bend over if you didn't have muscles in your stomach. If you were lying down on your bed, how would you get up from your bed if you didn't have muscles in your stomach? Because the muscles is what you use to get out of bed. So the idea that someone that's overweight has no muscles is ludicrous.
If anything, we might have much stronger muscles in our stomachs. And anyone that's really heavy and are still able to walk around, their legs are strong. Possibly way stronger than, you know, an average person, because they're carrying that weight around.
So they have to have very, very strong legs. So before you start having a go at people, I think I quite like the idea of that. The idea of people saying, oh, fat people got no muscle.
Well, no, it's not true. People that are big, that the muscle is often hidden. You actually can't see it because it's covered in other stuff, or the shape of the body doesn't present the muscles in a way that is visually exciting to the other person perhaps, or obvious.
My phone just went off then. And it was, I forgot to turn my phone ringer off. So it's ringing.
I've edited it. I've edited it out. I will do.
Because I don't think it's conducive to sleep. If for those that are sleeping, hearing a phone ringing. And it was the person.
It was actually my ex, the person I was talking about that the nurse sent me a picture. And she just told me that had she heard my voice, my message earlier, she wouldn't have sent me a picture. And she said she was just phoning me to see whether or not she could help with my alcohol problem.
She thought I was drunk. I wasn't. I sang a song to her on her answer machine, but she didn't seem to appreciate it.
Okay, I purposely sung out of tune, which is really easy for me, because that's my, when you naturally sing out of tune, and you purposely try and sing out of tune, it sounds a level of awfulness. So I can't remember what I was talking about before the phone rang, because it's been probably 10 minutes, where or probably six or seven minutes I was talking to her on the phone. And I said to her, why didn't you send a picture without your mask? She said, she actually she did she answer? I'm not sure.
But I said, what do you look like now? She said, Well, I've got wrinkles. And I said, you're supposed to. You're not 18 anymore.
You're 40 something. And she said, Yeah, thanks. It's weird.
And I said to you realize it's a quarter of a decade since I last since I first met you. She said a decade. Do you mean century? And I did.
I meant a century. But doesn't decade sound better? I think decade should be 100 years, not 10 years. Because decade is a 10 years, isn't it? I don't know.
For some reason in my head, I had decade as being 100 years. And I don't know why. I'm so furious with myself.
Yeah, I don't know why that's weird. Oh, yeah, exercise. I've got the exercise bike.
Well, I haven't got it, but I've ordered it. And I should be getting it in November. And it basically is just put on credit.
So I'll pay it off over the next however many years. So it hasn't cost me anything. Like upfront days.
But I figured that I mean, it's the two most important organs in our bodies, really. I know they're all connected and they're all important. But physically, I need to look after my heart and lungs with some exercise.
So cardiovascularly exercise and my brain. I mean, physically, I need to look after my brain as well. So I'm thinking of starting to take creatine.
So because I'm going to be doing exercise every day, I'm going to get some creatine. I used to use it before. I didn't really know what it was for.
I knew that bodybuilders you'd use it because it would give extra energy. It's kind of like a legal, it's not steroids, but it's like a legal thing that you can take, which can give you, for example, if you're doing, the only way to build muscle is to break the muscle down. You have to damage the muscle for it to grow back bigger.
Okay, that's probably a lot of people know this, but I'm just saying that's what bodybuilders do. And that's what weight lifters do. They do it so that the muscle grows back bigger and stronger.
And creatine can give you the extra energy. In fact, yeah, I think you can get extra energy so you can sort of push yourself through. That's what steroids can do, push you through that barrier, giving you the extra energy so that you can actually push yourself to do more reps.
And to do more weightlifting than you would normally be able to do. Which means that, I mean, you could, you could technically hurt yourself, so you have to be careful. But for bodybuilders, they kind of know what they're doing, or they do sometimes do too much weights.
And I'm not in that category, because I'm going to be doing low weights, I'm never going to do heavy weights. I'm not going to, I used to be able to do, well, I could do anything I wanted when I was younger. I could strain myself and do heavy weights and, you know, be stiff for a few days and that.
But at my age, I'm not going to, I've got nothing to prove. And I'm not, I'm not going to go into a gym and do it at home. So I'm not going to be, it doesn't matter, I can do it with light weights and still get the same results as doing heavy weights.
For my, for what I'm looking for. You know, I'm not, I'm not interested in going to a gym and trying to lift 300 pounds. What's the point in that? Other than the fact that I can't.
And if I'm doing that stuff at home, I can't lift heavy weights here. Because what if I do injure myself, I'm on my own, and the barbell just lands on me, you know, I could end up in trouble. So I'm going to do light weights, but lots of reps, and still do it.
So completely, I can't do anything else. So it still breaks the muscle down. So it probably grows back.
That's, you know, it's just a way that I'm going to do it. It's my way of doing it. And it's a way to do it at my age, I don't want to be hurting myself or anything like that.
Because the thing I noticed is, with age, things seem to take a little bit longer to heal than it used to. I think that's normal. You know, it's not, not, not a big deal.
It's like going bald or going grey. Our lung capacity is less than it was, you know, when we were younger. It's normal.
It's, that's the way it is. It's not, there's no point getting upset about something that is natural. I'm not supposed to have the lung capacity of an 18 year old.
It's physiologically, I guess, impossible, because it's just not the way it is. We, you know, our bodies wear out a little bit. It's just like a car, isn't it? Imagine a 50 year old car and expecting it to be able to do what it could do 45 years ago.
You know, it's about maintenance. I think that's what it is. It's can't change the parts.
And with a car, if you've got a 50 year old car, the longer you have it, the less availability spare parts become. So you're going to get to the point, unless it's like a valuable collector's edition, where people still get able to get older stuff. There'll come a point where you can't replace the doors, or the, you know, or maybe even the engine.
You have to go and make do with what you've got. So I'm like an old car, that's what I'm trying to say. Like a balding old car.
And that needs maintenance. So my plan, and it's a gradual plan, it's not a new, it's not going to be, I'm in no hurry to do this. But my gradual plan is to reduce my fat level.
It's not about losing weight for me, I don't care. It's not about losing weight, it's about fat, losing fat. So if I'm still 100 kilos, if I'm probably more than that now, but say 100 kilos is kind of my average weight.
If I was still that weight, but with a slim waist, I'd be happy. I don't need to, I don't need to go down to 12 stone. But if I did go down to 12 stone, I would be slimmer.
So it's, it's a weird thing though, because when you do muscle, when you do weights, or some kind of exercise, like on a punch bag, and it does develop muscle, like in the shoulders, and your back, and your chest, and stuff. You kind of become a little bit bigger, not a lot, but a little bit bigger, I guess. So it looks like I'm fatter than I am.
I think. When really the fat, as far as I'm aware, it's really only on my belly. I mean, and maybe my bum, I don't know.
As I said, I'm not sure. I can't see that. But I have to see the top of my head.
And I've decided I'm not going to take a picture of my bum. In case I had the same kind of... Well... What are you doing, Andre? Hello. Hello.
Is that a wee wee or a poo poo? Oh, bless you. I've got this microphone stand and it's rubbish. It keeps just moving on its own.
Which is not good. Hello. I've got my little boy in my arms.
Hello, Andre. Hello, honey plum. Are you okay? Are you all right? You're daddy's little angel, aren't you? You're daddy's hairy little angel.
Yes, you are. Oh, I have to clean the carpet soon as well. It's got to that time again.
Yeah. Hello. Hello.
Hello. Hello, Rosie. Rosie.
Rosie. Hello, Rosie. Rosie.
Rosie. It's my little baby boy. My little baby boy.
Hello. Hello. Oh, you're so lovely.
I'm a beautiful angel. Oh, are you going to go to sleep? Oh, right in my face. In fact, that was in my mouth.
Andre, what are you sneezing for? I've got the window open. He's got hay fever, probably. God, dear.
Next, you're going to tell me that you don't like small spaces, Andre. Are you going to sneeze again? Are you going to sneeze? Sneeze one more time, and then we'll bring the recording to an end if you sneeze. Then I'll be able to give you some attention.
Sneeze. Sneeze one more time. OK, you go down.
I'll play with you in a minute. Right, so that was Andre pretty much telling me to stop making a recording. So I'm going to go.
Thank you for listening to this boring episode. Please remember to be kind to yourself because you deserve to be happy. Lots of love.
Bye.
