What matters is not where you have been, what matters is where you are going.
Why should I choose Hypnolight?
I am a firm believer that people are their own best healers and have the inner knowledge and resources to do so. I am here to help guide you in that recovery process, using my professional skills and training in a relaxed and comfortable environment.
The ultimate aim is to help you on your healing journey, successfully deal with your issues and empower you in the process.
I have worked with many clients who tried different treatment modalities but these approaches failed as they weren't suitable for them or their needs.
I don't try to 'fit' my clients to a particular approach. When it comes to therapy, I do not subscribe to 'trying to fit a square peg into a round hole'. We are all different. There is not one medication for all illnesses so why be rigid therapeutically too? Different modalities work for different people. I work integratively, which means I combine the main different psychological schools of thought and approaches to suit individual needs of my clients (for example humanistic, psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural, Gestalt etc.)
To sum up, I use a client-centered approach, based on the concept that the client's inner mind can reveal the core cause of a problem when appropriate hypnotic techniques are employed. I am able to use combinations of different techniques tailored to suit your own individual needs and preferences. I combine both hypnotherapy and psychotherapy.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have extensive experience of working in the mental health and social care sectors, both private and public.
Both my psychology studies and mental health experience are reflected in my hypnotherapy practice. I have a solid understanding of how the body and brain work together and how hypnotherapy can help to achieve positive changes.
I’m always happy to discuss the processes involved in greater depth with any clients who want to understand more about their treatment session.

I am committed to my continuous professional development (CDP) and I regularly undertake various training and learn new skills. In October 2014, I have started a postgraduate training in hypno-psychotherapy so after completion I can register as a psychotherapist with the UKCP (The United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy). This combines both hypnotherapy and psychotherapy.
In addition, I am a trained shamanic practitioner (trained to the standard of psychologist Sandra Ingerman). Shamanic healing practice fits well with both hypnotherapy and psychotherapy as it also uses trance state.
I also have a regular supervision with Dr. Geoff Ibbottson to ensure I work effectively and to the best of my abilities. He is a GP as well as hypno-psychotherapist who run an NHS trauma clinic for 15 years.
